Though I have a feeling that was kind of the point of the performance, it just doesn
t play that well of Natalie Hall and Bruce Davison s more serious and focus approach.
India Eisley is also bland, well right up until twist at the end when she actually does a
fair amount of shinning.
My one of my two issue s with The Curse of Sleeping Beauty is that it s a bit to slow
to get going. Though once it got going it was great. My other being the
predictability of what s going to happen. Maybe I m just jaded from seeing to many
horror films over the years, but I saw the twist from about the thirty minute mark.
Final thoughts, overall I really liked it. Was it a masterpiece? No, of course not as
few films are. But it was entertaining and I don t consider watching a complete
waste of time. The visuals are nice, the pacing is solid and it has a great dread
location that is dripping with atmosphere. Would I recommend it? Yes, I just
recommend going into with an open mind and a six pack.

Afferent neurons are sensory neurons that conduct signals toward the central nervous
system (CNS) and are specialized in sensing heat, pressure, and chemicals (Saladin,
2011). These neurons send information about stimuli to the CNS and are located
everywhere in the body but always end up in the brain and spinal cord (Saladin,
2011). Afferent neurons also send information about internal and external
environmental factors to the CNS. (Sherwood, 2014). Efferent neurons lead to muscle
cells, and send signals away from the CNS (Saladin, 2011). These neurons send
signals to effectors like muscle and gland cells that carry out the function of the
received response (Saladin, 2011). The cerebral cortex in the forebrain has special
senses and general senses (Saladin, 2011). Some of these senses include smell,
hearing, equilibrium, vision, touch, pressure, temperature, and pain. These all deal

One of the most popular conflicts from classical Greek literature is the one found
between Antigone and Creon in Sophocles play Antigone. After a lethal conflict that
left both of Antigone s brothers dead, Creon ordered that Polyneices (one of

honorable burial. Antigone opposed Creon s order; her own religious faith to the

tension between the two characters proposes an interesting and complex dynamic
between the two different sources of authority. Both attempt argue that their source of
authority and the obligation that are connected with it is more legitimate, thus
delegitimizing each other s laws. However, as stated by Molly Farneth in her essay
Gender and the Ethical Given, both of these laws come into conflict because both
authorities are unwilling to compromise and modify their strict standards. This
tension is subsequently caused by a number of factors, and Farneth goes into detail
investigating each of these components, ranging from gender roles in ancient Greek
society to the role of ethics in how the law is applied. I agree with the arguments
made by Farneth and through my research, I hope to understand how these sources of

In the fifth reading assignment of Hillbilly Elegy, the chapters highlight J.D s time in
high school, the Marines, and college.
The start of chapter seven dealt with the death of Papaw. I think this death took a
toll on J.D largely because Papaw was the closest thing to a stable father figure he
had. I love the relationship that Papaw and J.D had, and I m sure it was one that
J.D cherishes to this day. Reading about Papaw s funeral was especially tough for
me because I have been exactly where J.D was in that moment. My grandfather
passed away in the summer of 2015, and I also spoke at his funeral. I was
extremely close with my Grandpa, or Papa as I called him, and reading about J.D s
experience brought up some tough feelings for me. I noticed that J.D s mother took
the loss of her father extremely had. She was thrown into a prescription drug
induced tailspin. This is yet another example of the loss of a loved one completely
derailing the life of one of their loved ones. Her story reminded me of Scott from
Evicted. This also made me feel for J.D, he had just lost his beloved grandfather, and
now he had to worry about his mother struggling with her addiction.
Later in the chapter, I was happy to read that Lindsay had a great life going for her.
She is one of my favorite characters in this book, and I was joyed to read that she
had found a great husband. I also thought it was completely selfish for J.D s
mother to ask him to move to Dayton with her newest boyfriend. I was also
sickened to read that J.D s mother sent him to a therapist just so she could
interrogate him about how he acted towards his mother. I think if J.D saw an
actual therapist, he could have really benefited from it. I also really respected that
Lindsay dropped everything she was doing to go pick up J.D from Dayton. I think
this really speaks to their relationship, and how much she cares for her brother. I
was also stunned to read that J.D s mother agreed to marry a man she had only
known for one week. I knew that she had relationship issues, but this still shocked
me. I think J.D eventually became numb to the amount of partners his mother
brought home. The story of J.D s mother begging for his clean urine was extremely
sad to me. I think
