Essay On My Dream Job
Writing an essay on the topic "Essay On My Dream Job" can be both a challenging and
rewarding task. The difficulty lies not only in the necessity to articulate one's aspirations but also
in presenting them in a compelling and coherent manner. The task demands introspection,
research, and effective communication skills to convey the passion and reasoning behind the
chosen dream job.
Firstly, the process requires deep self-reflection to identify and articulate one's dream job. It's not
just about stating a job title; it involves understanding the motivations, personal values, and skills
that align with the envisioned career. This introspective phase can be time-consuming and may
require revisiting one's long-term goals.
Furthermore, research becomes crucial to substantiate the choice of a dream job. Whether it's
exploring the industry, understanding the required qualifications, or delving into the day-to-day
responsibilities, a well-researched essay adds credibility and depth. This phase demands thorough
investigation and the ability to synthesize information effectively.
The challenge continues in the actual writing process. Crafting a compelling narrative requires the
writer to strike a balance between personal anecdotes, academic or professional achievements,
and the specific reasons why the chosen job is the dream. Translating passion into words while
maintaining a structured and coherent essay can be intricate.
Moreover, addressing the essay's tone and style adds another layer of complexity. Balancing
enthusiasm with professionalism, and sincerity with a persuasive touch, is a fine line to walk.
The essay must engage the reader emotionally while maintaining a level of formality suitable for
an academic or professional context.
In conclusion, writing an essay on the topic of "Essay On My Dream Job" is a demanding task
that involves self-reflection, in-depth research, and effective communication skills. However,
despite the challenges, it offers the opportunity to express personal aspirations and motivations.
Successfully navigating these complexities can result in a compelling narrative that not only
showcases the dream job but also the writer's ability to articulate and pursue their goals.

Labor Unions Revolutionized
When looking at labor unions as a whole one must first identify where unions
originated from, why they were formed, how they were established in the United
States, and how labor unions have revolutionized since their implementation into the
United States. In Europe during the eighteenth century, the industrial revolutionwas in
full effect throughout the country and what this did to and for Europewas the
transition to new way in manufacturing items which included going from hand
production methods to machines, new chemical manufacturing and iron production
processes. Not only did this provide new ways to produce goods for the economy,
but this also increased the chance of injury for the workers and during this time there
was a huge surge of... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If unions grew to a point to where they were strong enough, it was only then that the
unions and the workers they represented would go on the offensive and demand pay
raises. This all came together with the passing of the National Labor Relations Act
of 1935 which guarantees basic rights of private sector employees to organize into
trade unions, engage in collective bargaining for better terms and conditions at work,
and take collective action including strike if necessary. The act also created the
National Labor Relations Board, which conducts elections that can require employers
to engage in collective bargaining with labor unions (also known as trade
Religious Beliefs And Practices Of The Norse
People who lived in the Scandinavian area during the Nordic Middle Ages were
mostly associated with being Vikings. Vikings were known for being people who
would pillage and raid the homes and towns of their enemies. Throughout history,
Vikings have been considered as barbarians. What many people do not realize was
that the Norse people were interested in magic. There were many popular witchcraft
beliefs and practices that were discussed by historians; Historian Stephen Mitchell is
one of the most popular historians who discussed the witchcraft and beliefs and
practices of the Norse. Like Mitchell, the authors of the books and articles about the
Norse people used a variety of primary and secondary sources to help make their
arguments. Some... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In Scandinavia women were thought to be evil if they had a higher power role in
society over men. This is displayed in Scandinavian literature about the story of
Queen Gunnhilder, in her stories she was described as being malevolent and her
nickname was Destructive Prima Donna by one scholar. A real life example would
be an incident that occurred in 1466. A woman named Г†lseby, called another man
s wife a wretch which in Norse means (sklak), and the son of a whore. Г†lseby was
once again causing trouble a few years after this previous incident; after another
woman had said to Г†lseby that she was a tramp who wished her husband dead ,
Г†lseby went to the woman s house and started beating her up. Many would
stereotype Г†lseby has a quarrelsome woman who is commonly associated with
being a witch. Mitchell takes Г†lseby behavior a step further by referencing other
scholars who said that back during this time period women like Г†lseby who was
regarded as contentious, outspoken, troublesome... were considered to be evil
women. As previously mentioned, many historians who write about witch hunting
often come across various works about witchcraft beliefs from witch hunters who
believed that women had sexual relations with the devil or other demons and spirits.

Sasa Dance Essay
If I had to study, learn and preform one style of dance, I would choose Salsa
dancing. I find this style interesting because it looks very fun to watch while it
makes me want to start dancing even without knowing any salsa moves. Hearing
the bongos pounding with the maracas sending shockwaves through a person s
body is a sight to behold upon the dancing world. Being inexperienced is not an
issue at all because you re not judged by doing it incorrectly, but judged upon your
enthusiasm to the best performance given. There are many characteristics of salsa
but here are a few of them. It is a partner dancewhere the man leads and the woman
follows. The music has 4 beats per measure but the dancers only take steps on 3 of

b)Identify and discuss the structure and functions of the individual branches of
government under the parliamentary system in Trinidad and Tobago that, when
combined, is referred to as a fusion of power.
c)Explain the structure and functions of the Judicial arm of government under the
parliamentary system in Trinidad and Tobago and discuss why it is critical to maintain
its independence from the other branches of government.
Answers:
Montesquieu s Doctrine of Separation of Powers :
The doctrine of the division of powers is considered a conservative politically
legitimate belief that asserts that the state competence is not the only body s but
comparatively a synthesized peculiar authority activity the legislative, executive, and
judicial lugged away by the bodies of a nation all running independently . The
legislative executes rules, the executive carry out the rules, and the judiciary
translates the rules.
The traditional characterizations of the powers of the branches of American
government are:
The legal subdivision is given authority for the execution the rules of the nation and
allocating the necessary funds to run the democracy.
The executive subdivision is in charge of enforcing and conducting the policies of the
public executed and financed by the legal subdivision.
The judicial subdivision is in charge of carrying out the laws of the constitution,

Self Assessment I.Career and Interest Self assessment Results This self assessment
test was something that narrowed down possible interest and helped the
participants open their mind to new careers. In fact when I finished my test I was
able to view the different careers that feel in my interest category. Taking a survey
and calculating the different likes each field had accumulated determined my test
outcome. After gathering the likes that had accumulated I was able to determine
which inventory category was strongest. My top inventory was conventional
which states, I am one who likes to follow set rules and procedures, and prefers
detail and clear lines of authority (Self Assessment, n.d.). My second strongest
inventory category was Social, which states, I like work activities that promote
learning and development (Self Assessment, n.d.). Not only did I learn what my
strongest inventory was I also had the ability to learn which jobs fell under those
categories. Out of each category within the level 5 education requirement, I had one
job that stood out over the others; category one conventional had Math Professor.
This job is something that would be interesting, but I am not sure if I would want
this job as a career. The social category had one job that also caught my eye, health
educator. After all the research and looking at each one of the categories and the
possible job opportunities I have come to the realization that the test are estimates. I

The Female Body Is Always Growing And Changing As A
Woman...
The female body is always growing and changing as a woman ages. From the time
she is born to her reproductive system evolving, getting her first menstrual cycle
and having to worry about getting sexually related dieses. A woman s body is
constantly adjusting and adapting as it grows. Through all the years of science most
of the female body and how it works is still unknown today. The female body is a
beautiful mystery.
The female reproductive system consists of both external and internal genitals. Of all
the parts that make up the reproductive system the main two parts are the uterus,
which holds and develops the fetus and the ovaries, which are two cavities that hold
the woman s eggs. The ovaries can produce and hold anywhere from 40,000 eggs to
400,000 eggs each. The body then begins a process called ovulation at which the
ovary releases an egg through what are called fallopian tubes or canals into the uterus.
The egg then attaches to the uterus lining called the endometrium, which nourishes
the egg during and through pregnancy. While the egg makes its journey through the
fallopian tubes it can either be fertilized by the male sperm or not. If the egg does
not get fertilized then it is expelled through the vagina in a process called
menstruation. The vagina is a hollow, tunnel like structure of the female internal
genitalia whose reproductive functions are to receive the penis and its ejaculate,
serve as a route of exit for the newborn, and provide an exit for
Daisy Miller by Henry James
There is an importance of the international theme that helps people better understand
the differences of American and European culture. When these two cultures clash,
this leads to understanding just how different Americans are from their European
counterparts. Even though the international theme helps one find the differences in
the continent and country, it also enables one to note the significant evilness that
Europepossesses. There are so many distinctions that Europeans and Americans that
they just might not see the picture of what Daisy Miller is about. The characters that
Henry Jameswrites about in Daisy Miller come across as being innocent, free, and
fresh. This can only be said for the American characters. There were always sentences
that make Europeans seem like they are snobby and corrupt. There is that little hint of
sophistication. One would assume that this comes with the territory.
When Daisy and her family are in Europe, they represent the New World element in
the Old World. The protagonist, Daisy Miller, is beautiful and charming. She is
unlike anybody else in Europe because all of the other people act mature and
somewhat boring. She is just a free spirit that tries to incorporate as much of the
European element as much as she possibly can. Her way of doing so is a bit
unusual to the locals, but this is the way that she wants to spend her time in Europe.
Because she choses to do so, she is unappreciated in terms of the how the Europeans
want her to act
The Importance Of Socialization
Socialization is the lifelong process in which people learn the attitudes, values, and
behaviors appropriate for members of a particular culture. We often go into a
place and we can tend to judge people. By the language or color or what they wear.
It happens all the time. This is just a natural habit for most human beings. I have
even walked into walmart before thinking to myself I do not belong here. I do not
speak the language that all these other people are speaking. I am only in Warwick
right?

He explains how these results from our imagination isn t alway correct. Usually
they are incorrect. A real life example of this is when a teacher criticizes a student
on their paper, the teacher must think i m stupid, I am stupid. This was just like
what happened to me at work yesterday. One of my babies that I take care of was
going home because her father came to pick her up. I told him she was in the
playroom and he went down there and I had to call him back because I forgot she
was sleeping. He came back and I felt like such an idiot and I was thinking to myself
he must think I am an idiot for this one. Like how could I forget about his child
sleeping? I apologised for the mistake and I still felt like he hated me for it even
though he said it was fine and her parents are really nice anyways.
George Herbert Mend continued Charles Cooley s study. He developed a useful
model of the process by which the self emerges. They are the preparatory stage, the
play stage, and the game stage.
He explains that the preparatory stage is when children imitate people around them
(especially family members who the continuously interact with). Monkey see monkey
do.
As they grow older children will become more adept at using symbols like gestures
and words that form the basis of communication. By interacting with relatives and
friends and watching cartoons on television and also looking at picture books,
children will begin to understand symbols and
Women Experienced And Governed By Indonesian Islamic...
1. AIMS AND QUESTIONS The question of this research is how women
experienced and governed by Indonesian Islamic Inheritance Law, especially on the
term Kalalah where the absence of male children became a significant issue. This
issue was derived from the different interpretation on Al Qur an 4:12 and 4:176 :
And for you is half of what your wives leave if they have no child. But if they have
a child, for you is one fourth of what they leave, after any bequest they [may have]
made or debt. And for the wives is one fourth if you leave no child. But if you leave
a child, then for them is an eighth of what you leave, after any bequest you [may
have] made or debt. And if a man or woman leaves neither ascendants nor
descendants but has a brother or a sister, then for each one of them is a sixth. But
if they are more than two, they share a third, after any bequest which was made or
debt, as long as there is no detriment [caused]. [This is] an ordinance from Allah,
and Allah is Knowing and Forbearing. They request from you a [legal] ruling. Say,
Allah gives you a ruling concerning one having neither descendants nor ascendants

what he left. And he inherits from her if she [dies and] has no child. But if there are
two sisters [or more], they will have two thirds of what he left. If there are both
brothers and sisters, the male will have the share of two females. Allah makes clear

Democratic And Republican Analysis
The election and how government officials are elected is vital to the United States
identity as a Democratic Republic. To fully understand whether the election is fair to
the average American citizen, these four things need to be looked at and understood;
the Democratic and Republican platforms and who the reader agrees with, the
procedure and requirements for getting on the ballot to be elected into the House of
Representatives, the many different parties of the United States, and the requirements
and procedures for running for president. After each of these questions are
acknowledged, it can be easily inferred that the current electionsystem that is in place,
is fair to American citizens.
When analyzing the differences between the platforms of the Democrats and
Republicans, there are six key issues that differ: wages, education, foreign policy,
gun laws, health care, and the size of government. The issue of wages is most
clearly seen in the issue of minimum wage in that Democrats believe that the current
minimum wage is a starvation wage and must be increased to a living wage. No one

Whale Talk And Stand By Me Comparison
Comparison Essay
Success is a weird word. Sometimes you spend your whole life trying to find it and
sometimes you re just plain lucky enough to have it already. Success is never given,
it s earned by the ones who deserve it most. But what is it that helps strive people to
the end? Does the end even matter? In life, people are sent on journeys to not only
finish, but to experience every little thing along the path. In other words, life is about
the journey and not the destination. In both Whale Talk and Stand by Me, characters
find meaning for their lives by enduring the hard times, pouring themselves into
relationships with other people and staying true to their own systems of belief.
In both Whale Talk and Stand by Me, young misfits find a group of people that
make them feel safe and at home. In Whale Talk, T.J Jones is an adopted boy, but his
true family members are not the ones who adopted him. T.J finds his family within
the swim team he takes part in. Chris Coughlin, Andy Mott, Jackie Craig, Dan
Hole are many of T.J s newfound family members that allow him to feel safe. In the
book, family isn t about DNA, it s about who and what feels right. They may not be

Art In The Age Of Mechanical Reproduction
In order to properly argue my point it is best to lay out the framework of Benjamin
s argument. Benjamin begins his essay, The Work of Art in the Age of Mechanical
Reproduction by briefly distinguishing his categories from traditional aesthetic
values, those of creativity and genius, eternal value and mystery (Benjamin, 218).
In contrast, he relates these tendencies to bourgeois and fascist ideologies and to
the conditions, inevitably generated out of capitalism itself, which provoke
revolutionary demands in the politics of art (217 8) Benjamin claims that in times
past the role of art has been to provide a magical foundation for the cult. Here the
artwork s use value was located in its central position within ritual and religious
tradition (223 4). A statue or idol conveyed a sense of authority, or magical power,
which inhered in that particular historical artifact. The reproduction in mass of such
an item would have been unthinkable because it was a unique singularity, and it
would lose its aura . He focuses on describing the objects aura, defining the aura as:
We define the aura of the later as the unique phenomenon of a distance, however
close it may be. If, while resting on a summer afternoon, you follow with your eyes a
mountain range on the horizon or a branch which casts its shadow over you, you
experience the aura of those mountains, of that branch (222 3). The term implies an
atmosphere and a transcendent feeling that happens when you experience an object.
Israeli-Palestinian Conflict Essay
The conflict between Palestinian Arabs and Jews is a modern phenomenon, which
began around the turn of the 20th century. Although these two groups have different
religions (Palestinians include Muslims, Christians and Druze), religious differences
are not the cause of the conflict. It is essentially a struggle over land. Until 1948, the
area that both groups claimed was known internationally as Palestine. But following
the war of 1948 49, this land was divided into three parts: the state of Israel, the West
Bank (of the Jordan River) and the Gaza Strip (1).
Jewish claims to this land are based on the biblical promise to Abraham and his
descendants, on the fact that this was the historical site of the Jewish kingdom of
Israel (which was ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Following World War II the British requested that the recently established United
Nations determine the future of Palestine. After investigating the cituation, they
came to an agreement that the country would have to be divided in order to satisfy
the needs and demands of both Jews and Palestinian Arabs. Jews had acquired by
purchase 6 to 8 percent of the total land area of Palestine amounting to about 20
percent of the arable land (7).
The UN partition plan divided the country in such a way that each state would have a
majority of its own population, although some Jewish settlements would fall within
the proposed Palestinian state and many Palestinians would become part of the
proposed Jewish state. The Zionist leadership accepted the UN partition plan,
although they hoped somehow to expand the borders allotted to the Jewish state (4).
The Palestinian Arabs and the surrounding Arab states rejected the UN plan.
Fighting began between the Arab and Jewish residents of Palestine days after the
adoption of the UN partition plan. The Arab military forces were poorly organized,
trained and armed. In contrast, Zionist military forces, although numerically smaller,
were well organized, trained and armed. On May 15, 1948 Zionist leaders
proclaimed the state of Israel. Neighboring Arab states (Egypt, Syria, Jordan and
Iraq) then invaded Israel claiming that they sought to save Palestine from the
Zionists. The war ended ended in 1949 (8). The country once
Andrew Higgins Essay
Higgins: America s Transportation To A Brighter Future Towards the end of the
1930s, the United States government was preparing itself to progress from one
despondency to another. Because the Great Depression was nearing its final months
and the threat of becoming involved in the European war continuously intensified, it
was decided that substantial amounts of energy, along with an ascending budget, was
to be focused on developing military boats that could haul soldiers from ships to
open beaches. In New Orleans, Andrew Jackson Higgins was known for
manufacturing Eureka Boats, or shallow watercrafts that assisted in the exploration
of oil and gas throughout the Louisiana bayous. After many failed attempts Higgins

Andrew Higgins was able to bestow among the American public, along with
citizens and leaders from other nations, that the American Dream was possible, no
matter one s background. Raised in Columbus, then Omaha, Higgins had an
interesting character. Known as an intelligent entrepreneur, he also had a
reputation as a troublesome child; he was eventually expelled out of four schools
and he never graduated high school. After serving a term in the Nebraska Army
Guard, Higgins traveled to the Gulf Coast in the 1920s, where he eventually
started a lumber business in New Orleans(Tobias). However, his work required
boats in order to receive wood out of shallow water areas and swamps, thus the
creation of Higgins Boats, which would eventually grow into Higgins Industries.
One can conclude that Higgins never received a degree in engineering, therefore
he might not been the smartest boy on the block, some may say he was even a
dreamer, but he forced his intricate ideas to become reality with the help of
engineers and architects. that did not stop him from growing Higgins Industries to
the empire it became. For the public to be able to view Higgins s success was
imperative at the time because it provided a ray of light in the dark cave many
entrepreneurs were stuck in. Higgins Industries s achievement allowed for America
to push towards an era of prosperity. As for leaders in other countries, they began to
fear Higgins because of the inspiration he was. Even Hitler knew of Higgins, calling
him the New Noah (Hiatt). He, along with the rest of the world, feared that Higgins
would create a domino effect, causing the United States to become an even stronger
leading world power, therefore causing Europe s leading powers to
The Pros And Cons Of Nuclear Testing
For decades, states seeking to limit nuclear weapons have called for a CTBT in the
conviction that a comprehensive test ban would foreclose the ability to develop new
and more powerful types of nuclear arms and would be an important stepping stone
to the objective of ultimately eliminating all nuclear weapons. Historically, the
nuclear powers have depended on nuclear testing to develop new types of nuclear
weapons and to a far lesser extent, to confirm the reliability of their arsenals. The
United Statesand other countries concerned about nuclear proliferationalso have
supported a CTBT as a means for slowing the spread of advanced nuclear weapon
capabilities to additional countries. They have argued that although a state seeking
to develop nuclear weapons may not need to conduct a test to build a simple fission
bomb, such tests would be necessary to develop more complex and powerful
thermonuclear weapons. Some argue that testing would also be necessary for a new
nuclear state to develop small warheads for ballistic or cruise missiles.... Show more

Nonetheless, important limits on nuclear testing were adopted during the 46 year
hiatus between Nehru s initiative and the conclusion of a CTBT in 1996.
Negotiations between the United States, the United Kingdom, and the Soviet Union
were first started in 1958 following Premier Khrushchev s announcement of a
unilateral test ban and President Eisenhower s subsequent proposal for test ban
negotiations. Efforts receded in the wake of the May 1960 U 2 incident in which a
U.S. reconnaissance plane was shot down over the USSR leading to the souring of

Essay about Our Trip to Wyoming was Beautiful
Wyoming is a beautiful place We never drove farther west than Iowa. Going to
Wyoming was something my brothers and I were looking forward too. Talking
about all the activities we will be doing and places we will be stopping at made us
more excited. It got me wishing we were going that day, but I knew we had to wait
a couple a weeks. Waiting was the worst part of the trip. I could not focus on
anything besides getting ready for the trip. As those long weeks came by we
finally were packed to go. It was 4 a.m. and my parents were packing the car and
telling us to bring everything out. We decided to take the minivan, so there was
plenty of space. My older brother always got the back seats to himself so he had his

Then we wanted to make no stops from here to Yellowstone. Driving along by the
mountain near Yellowstone they told us to go around but we did not want to
waste 2 hours so we went up the mountain nice and slow. Since the mountain was
so steep it burned our tires. When we reached Yellowstone we made my dad pull
over and we stopped at Yellowstone Lake. I remember my dad telling us that the
ice just melted from the mountain so it was cold. We did not care we went in
anyway, he was right. It was freezing cold so as we came out and our dad was
smiling, he bet us we could not reach to the middle of the lake. We decided to try
and make a raft to get us to the middle and to paddle with are hands there and back.
As we tried to make a raft out of the huge logs we found near by we could not find
anything to tie them together so we just decided to hold on to all of them. As you
can only imagine, it failed and we went into the water. We gave up after a half hour
and got back in to the car. It was so beautiful going up the side of the mountain. I
remember going up and seeing a mama wolf, she had two little cubs playing by the
logs. We stayed in Yellowstone that night. We got up early the next morning and
saw old faithful waiting for it to irrupt. Saw other geysers and some colorful ones.
We went back to the cabin and as we were eating diner we saw a pack of wolves run
by. That night all we heard the wolves so close but then it disappeared in the middle

Carbon Dioxide And Its Effect On Earth
Carbon Dioxide is a colorless, nonflammable gas, with no smell. It accounts for about
.04% by volume of the air in the atmosphere and is naturally occurring. It can be
found in the human body, oceans, atmosphere, and within the Earth s mantle. This
molecular compound is notated as CO2 and is made up of one carbonatom and two
oxygenatoms. Carbon dioxideis also used for many different things. For example,
carbon dioxide is use for your soft drink and soda products such as sprite, sierra
mist and pepsi just to name a few. Another thing carbon dioxide is use for is food
such as ice cream and frozen food the dry icy is an effect of carbon dioxide. Oxygen

Experts agree that carbon first appeared on Earth in a reduced, abiotic form.
Carbon is found in all meteorites, and historically, the prevailing view was that all
atmospheric carbon found on Earth was in the form of carbon dioxide (Shaw).
Recently, however, this viewpoint has been disproved for a number of reasons.
The first is that geological evidence would be present if the atmosphere was full of
carbon dioxide, which is lacking. The second reason is the delay in oxygenation of
the atmosphere following the development of the first oxygen producing microbes.
The third reason is the longstanding balance between carbonate carbon and biogenic
carbon at a ratio of about 4 to 1 (Shaw). This suggests that it was unlikely that the
atmosphere was full of carbon in the form of carbon dioxide. It is believed that the
early ocean held most of the carbon. The primordial soup theory suggests that the
early ocean had a high concentration of photochemically produced complex organic
compounds as well as oxidized sediments, which slowly released carbon dioxide
into the atmosphere (Shaw). These factors are also the same factors that likely lead
to the initial evolution of primitive life in the ocean. This explanation better fits the
geological timeframe for the oxygenation and buildup of carbon dioxide in the
atmosphere (Shaw). A common theory for the presence of carbon dioxide in the
Earth s atmosphere is the
David Hume And Joseph Conrad s Heart Of Darkness
David Hume was one of the most influential philosophers of the eighteenth century.
He was a champion of empiricism in determining the origins of human knowledge,
believing that outside of experience, there was no way to obtain knowledge. In
Treatise of Human Nature, An Enquiry Concerning Human Understanding, and
Dialogues Concerning Natural Religion, Hume presented a series of controversial
ideas in accordance with empiricism that challenged the concept of rationalism.
Among these ideas were a concept known as Hume s fork, which presented separate
notions of impressions and ideas, a new philosophical structure of determining the
relationship between morality, reason, and passion, and the contradiction in inductive
reasoning. Hume s... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
On a parallel note, the events in Conrad s Heart of Darkness serve to prove a similar
concept in relation to imperialism and European conquest. The novella depicts
actions and decisions which prove that behind the widely perceived glory and
grandeur of conquest lies nothing but brutality and greed. However, Conrad limits
the reliability of this perspective by only detailing these vivid occurrences through
Marlow s first hand experience; when Marlow encounters the shrunken heads on
sticks, he confronts the situation in a rather dismissive way even going so far as to
unironically describe the heads as impressive (Conrad, 1899, p. 96). By restricting
perception of outside events to objective descriptions, Conrad focuses on the inner
conflicts arising within characters like Marlow, as well as on Marlow s initial
inability to comprehend the barbarism of the situation. This supports Hume s opinion

Individual Differences In Fatigue Research
An important aspect which undoubtedly influences spirituality as a dimension of
QoL of patients is fatigue (factor 1 and 4). Many OA and RA patients participate
in religious activities such as prayer and are influenced by beliefs. According to the
perceptions of patients faith and participation in religious activities can be helpful in
reducing levels of perceived fatigue , pain, and improving quality of life. Baets
Bowen et al exploring the role of spirituality in chronic conditions and fatigue found
that spirituality is associated with better psychological well being.Bartlett et al note
that RA patients who view their life from a different perspective through spirituality,
can experience better well being. In our study, a major risk factor associated with
fatigue was the duration of sleep.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

and RA patients. Insufficient sleep may be a predictor of fatigue and its effect has
been demonstrated previously in arthritis[6].Especially, patients with OA suffer
from sleep disturbance leading to fatigue [40] while in RA a correlation between
fatigue and poor quality of sleep has been noted previously [41].Even the variable of
sleep in OA and RA patients is not directly linked to fatigue, there is a question about
the relationship between fatigue and sleepless. The presence of sleep disturbance in
combination with other variables (pain, depressive symptoms and psychosocial
factors) might be the responsible mechanism for fatigue in RA and OA patients.

Childhood Bulimia Nervosa
Background: Eating disorders such as anorexia, bulimia, and binge eating are life
threatening conditions that affect a person s emotional and physical health. Anorexia
nervosa is the intense fear of gaining weight and having an abnormally low body
weight. Individuals restrict the amount of food they consume. Bulimia Nervosais
eating large amounts of food and getting rid of the extra calories by force vomiting
or misusing laxatives. Abuse during childhood has long been hypothesized to be a
risk factor for the development of eating disorders (Harlow, Rayworth, and Wise,

violence, victimization, and eating disorders.

conducted a case control study from Harvard Study of Moods and Cycles. Women

Ping Sweep Research Paper
With our dependency on technology and computers growing in just about every
aspect of our lives, from at home to business, we are leaving our information out
there for anyone who has the desire to try to get that information. When computers
were first used by business and the government it was easy to secure the information
stored on the room sized machines. It was as simple as securing the building and
rooms that they were in. Now after the invention of the World Wide Web

There is a process to this and the first steps in the process are research and
information gathering about the potential target. Ping sweeps have been around
for a while and slower than more current methods but is still an effective way for a
hacker to get control of your computers. A ping sweep is when a hacker tries to
locate and see what computers on a network that are active. The sweep can also
give the hacker a list of ip addresses that exist on the network. This is dangerous
because it can give the hacker control of multiple computers and if any have access
to the database and servers they can take over your entire network. At this point the
hacker has access to all your information and can use at their will. The other effect
of a ping sweep is it will slow down your network because of the flood of multiple
requests going out, bogging down the efficiency of the network. This may cause
loss in time and create the need for more labor to complete the task at hand, causing
loss of profit. The good news is a ping sweep is just a research and information
gathering stage, this does not mean that the intruder has hacked your network yet. To
do so they need to find an open port to access the
The Problem Of A Relapse
A relapse is probably one of the worst feelings someone could have because of all
the negative emotions that come with it. When someone relapses it is often seen as
a failure to them and an incredible sense of guilt, it s normal to feel guilty that you
weren t able to keep up with your recovery, shame that you ve let others and you
down (Facing Yourself After Relapse
). These negative emotions come up because so
much effort has been made to not make these mistakes, but addictionis not an easy
thing to overcome. The third scene of the video starts with Noodle hiding in the

In the fourth scene of the video the helicopters come back for a second attack,
representing the addicted using right after the initial slip up. What causes this
assault is the mindset of not being able to recover from the first use of the drug.
Instead of treating the first use of the drug as a moment to learn from one s
mistakes and move on with recovery; the error is viewed as the end of recovery
and a complete relapse occurs, For others, that first drink is the start of a major
slide into total relapse (Relapse). The negative emotions get the best of the addict
and they begin to use again in order to cope. The video does a very good job at
representing this visually. Previously stated the first attack seems to come out of
nowhere since it is not known where the helicopters come from. This attack on the
other hand is different; the helicopters are circling the island the entire time after
the first attack. By circling it is evident that this assault is not coming out of
nowhere, but rather from the addict s own mind and emotions. The first use of the
drug can be unpredictable; possibly occurring by attending a party or hanging out
with friends who also use the drug. The second round comes from the recovering
addict to decide to go against his or her treatment and use again causing a full blown
relapse. Once this happens the user goes back to old habits and erases all their

Kairos Retreat Essay
An event that clearly marked my transition from childhood to adulthood was the
truly eye opening experience of attending a Kairos retreat. For those unfamiliar
with Kairos, it is a four day religious retreat in which you and a small group of
students come together to more learn about God, themselves, and others in a setting
that completely removes you from the daily distractions and stresses of the outside
world. Everyone, including myself, was able to share the personal stories about the
struggles that they have faced and are continuing to face every day of their lives and

I walked away from this experience, not only with a bunch of new friends, but with
a whole new outlook on life and the way in which I look at and treat other people. I
realized how important it is to simply be kind to others, no matter how clichГ© it
seems, and that just by saying hello to someone or showing you care about them,
you can make their day or maybe even save their life. This is an attitude that I will
carry into adulthood and use in my everyday life. It is an attitude that will be
valuable to me in college and in my career when I encounter an even larger and
more diverse group of people than what I am used to at the moment. In a world
that is filled with such negative people, it is important to not fall into a pessimistic
way of viewing the world and other people and instead be a friend to those who feel

Od Intervention Essay
It is perhaps via conventional wisdom and understanding to consider others whom we
encounter as defined by their roles. This convention further implies that when
describing a specific role, that it is this role which partially defines a person, whether
by virtue of their profession, position, or circumstance. The roles which we engage in
are distinct, and thus become synonymous with everyday individualexperiences. They
help to establish certain boundaries, while also providing a sense of assurance by
way of helping us to identify and define our place within a given context and
environment for which we may better understand our place in society, specifically in
relation to others.
Therefore, when identifying and defining respective individual ... Show more content

To answer this question, Burke (2011) suggests that perhaps a more accurate
assessment is to change the paradigm of how one might define the client by
describing the client as the relationships or interfaces established between individuals,
which is where the focus of the intervention is to be directed. Although this may
initially seem somewhat perplexing, it does provide an alternative point of view
when considering OD intervention, and its intended purposes. Defining a role as
something rather than someone, for instance relationship rather than position, does
not appear to follow conventional wisdom, as it seems rather unintuitive. However,
when considering OD intervention, this shift in our paradigm may help provide a
more accurate definition when considering the work involved. Specifically, within the
context of OD intervention, one must consider that no individual is an island unto
himself ; every individual role exists in relationship with and to others, regardless of
his or her position, and these relationships emerge from our interactions,
communications, and experiences with and between each other. Each person is
therefore part of a greater whole, and it is within this context that the intervention can
take place. Therefore, this distinction between an individuals role and position, is
perhaps of greatest importance when thinking of OD intervention, since it is not the
role or position itself that needs consideration, but the interactions that take place
between

Pros And Cons Of Free Trade In Canada
FREE TRADE IN CANADA
Intro:
Investopedia.com states, free trade is the economic policy of not discriminating
against imports from and exports to foreign jurisdictions. (Buyers and sellers from
separate economies may voluntarily trade without the domestic government applying
tariffs, quotas, subsidies or prohibitions on their goods or services.) In the previous
decade, one of the many controversial subjects in the Canadian economy included
whether or not it was beneficial for our federal government to eradicate free trade or
open it up to other nations. During my research, I discovered that free trade
agreements between Canada and other nations were not as beneficial as they may
have seemed for they were often business and market oriented. ... Show more content

In conclusion, the topic of free trade is difficult to debate and often controversial as
it has advantages but also disadvantages. Nonetheless, the drawbacks outweigh the

Literature Review On Physical Activity
The purpose of this literature review is to summarize current research regarding
physical activity and its effects on Alzheimer Disease (AD). Alzheimer s is a
disease that causes a decline in memory and cognitive abilities. It is estimated that
the number of people living with Alzheimer s will rise to 115.4 million people by
2050 (Cyarto et al., 2010). Much research is trying to find an end to Alzheimer
Disease, but has resulted in no cure as of yet. Alzheimer s impacts many people and
exercise could potentially be a wonderful tool to help decrease symptoms and
decrease rates. The following literature review provides 10 study results and an
overview of the affects exercise has on patients with Alzheimer s.
The first study by Cyarto et al. (2010) obtained 230 community participants who had
been diagnosed with Alzheimer Disease to participate in their study. The participants
were obtained through local physicians, memory clinics, specialists and advertising
flyers. These participants were randomly assigned to a moderate physical activity
group or a sedentary group. The study was 24 weeks long and included questionnaires
to help document the results. Results determined that the non exercise group had
higher scores on the Alzheimer disease Assessment scale, which indicates decreased
cognitive function. A study done by Morris et al. (2017) also obtained participants
through public advertisements, community talks, physicians and various databases.
Unlike the previous study, this
Personal Values Beliefs And Values
Personal values, beliefs, and principles are necessary for individuals to know about
themselves. However, when asked the question, what are your personal values,
beliefs, and principles the first responses are often a laundry list of characteristics
with the assumption that the three words are synonymous. From my experience,
when asked this question the list grew longer and I started to wonder what the
differences existed between each of these terms. Recognizing these differences is a
major component of discovering how I make decisions when facing ethical
dilemmas involving directives that may be morally unsound. Hence, I began the
search of how the terms relate, their meaning and what my answer is to this question.
Since I invested time to find the differences in principles, beliefs and values my long
list became more defined. So, the essay will encompass the definitions of the terms,
explain two elements for each category, how they relate to one another and how the
knowledge influences tough decisions. Values
What are values and what makes these different from principles and beliefs? Various
references agree that values are the motivations and behaviors used to determine
priorities of what one sees as important in life and work (MindTools.com, 2017;
Atkins, 2017; Value, n.d.). The definition applied my list of characteristics illustrated
how I desire to represent myself and what I value most. First, I value commitment to

Brianna Vinup Ancient India and China
The ancient civilizations of India and China were possibly the most advanced of their
time. Both countries had much to offer in that time including new technology,
governments, religions, and items to trade. The two countries have and had had
many similarities and contrasts.
The geography of ancient India was a little different than what is to this day. The
Himalayan mountains are located in the Northern part of India and the Hindu Kush
are located in the North West. Three bodies of water surround southern India, the
Arabian sea is to the south west, the Indian ocean on the southern side, and The Bay
of Bengal to the southeast. India was extended more to the Northwest and west, in
ancient times. Jungles, forests, and mountains are great examples of the geography of
India. The Himalayan mountains still lay to the north. The Himalayan mountains
were great to the development of India s early civilizations. They provided a great
deal of protection from military invasions. In the east and west other mountains also
provided the same protection. Ancient India had some of the most extreme climatic
and geographical features.
China is located on the the continent of Asia. The civilizations began to form around
the Yellow River in 2000 BCE. China s culture is still the same but three other
civilizations have gone away or been taken over. The southern region of ancient
China was wet and tropical, the
The Crucible Theme Analysis
The Crucible is a play with an abundance of themes. Each of the characters have a
theme that contributes to the overall theme of the story as well. The Crucible shows
unjust decisions controlled by manipulated courts and envious girls. The court
officials put 200 people through the misery of being accused of practicing acts
associated with the devil, and they executed 20. The theme that comes to mind after
these actions are brought up is inequity. Abigail accused many people in the town of
Salemof actions that they did not do. She made the marriage of John and Elizabeth
Proctorunstable by still trying to steal John from Elizabeth even though John was
trying to regain the trust of his wife. Another theme that is present is that
reputations can be altered easily. Going back to the Abigail and John incident,
John s reputation was brought down when the court found out that he cheated on
his wife. Another example of how reputations are judged in this play is when John
didn t want his name posted on the church door. His name would have been
frowned upon since it would have been on the list of people who practiced
witchcraft, and he knew people would think less of him (62). Abigail also fed false
accusations about well respected people in the town of Salem. Abigail had told the
court that Elizabeth Proctor had been practicing the devil s work, and Elizabeth then
got taken away even though she hadn t had done anything (37). A good reputation
can be easily faltered, and it is a

Charles Perrault, and All Kinds of Fur by Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm, are both

Donkeyskin, the king is overtly powerful and wealthy, and much of his wealth is
obtained by his Master Donkey, who excretes gold. In both tales it is necessary for

which she asks for three magnificent and impossible dresses to be made and for the

their character act and think differently. The princess in Donkeyskin, though being
the optimal choice of a bride for the king for being wise and accomplished, is not
as overtly clever and wise as the princess in All Kinds of Fur. The princess, referred
to as All Kinds of Fur, is solely responsible for her choices and actions, coming only
from her own savvy brain. Horrified by her father s incestuous demands, All Fur
seeks her own counsel. (Marshall 409). Firstly she contrives the seemingly
impossible tasks that she sets upon her father, including having him obtain one
dress golden as the sun, one as silvery as the moon, and one as bright as the stars

the decision to run away, disguised by her mantle of furs, before having to marry
her father. Thirdly, All Kinds of Fur cooks up the idea to place three of her golden

One Moment in Kyle s life that demonstrated his No Excuses attitude is when he

Panera Bread Business Strategy
This paper is about Panera Bread Company and the strategy it employs to become
the best brand name of fresh bread in the United States. Panera Bread specializes in
providing fresh goods, made to order sandwiches, salads, soups, custom roasted
coffees and other cafe beverages. The company generates revenues through three
business segments: company bakery cafГ© operations, franchise operations and fresh
dough operations. The company s bakery cafГ© operations segment is comprised of
the operating activities of the bakery cafes, owned directly and indirectly by Panera.
Their franchise operations segment is comprised of the operating activities of its
franchise business unit, which licenses qualified operators to conduct business under

As with any organization Panera Bread Company also has experience weaknesses.
Some of their weaknesses are their inability to a low cost value chain because of
the quality products that Panera offers they have to price their products about the
industry average in order to cover all the expenses incurred. Another weakness of
the company is that sales at the franchised stores run a bit higher than those at
company owned stores and this may be due to the fact that the company owned
stores are bearing most of the manufacturing cost of producing the company s fresh
baked goods and it may also be because the franchises are located in a more profitable
geographical area.
Panera s has an opportunity to continue expanding its venture in fast casual market,
as we see that the growth sales in the dining and commercial eating market over
recent years accounts for $1 billion in sales daily. This is an indication for Panera
Bread to continue to find innovative ways to increase their sales volume. They are
several potential threats that Panera needs to seriously take into consideration such as
new rival restaurant chain grab the attention of consumers and may draw some of the
company s current customers away and also the fact that many franchise owners are
becoming disgruntled because they want to have more territory. With franchise
owners becoming unsatisfied may pose some legal issues
The Articles Of The Draft Of Capitulation
The Articles of Capitulation signed 1760 marked the concluding chapter of France s
hegemony in North America. By 1764 the French possession of Ile Royale and Ile
St.Jean along with their prize colony of Quebec were handed over to Great Britain.
Therefore, why are these articles important in contemporary society and does it
indicate British hegemony in Canada? The Articles of Capitulation of Montreal in
1760 was a diplomatic tool used by the British military command to supplant the
military forces in New France, by confirming to the needs and rights of regular
Francophones within Quebecwhile placing strict editions that legitimized their
hegemony in North America. Therefore, it is the purpose of this essay to analysis the

With the increased population, the colony stabilized its economic situation, thereby
investing in the welfare of the colony.
However as the Articles of Capitulation indicated the period of stability for New
France had political and economic problems. With a higher and stable population,
French goods and access to tradable goods; furs, pelts and natural resources produced
an economic rivalry between the English. As the economic rivalry increased, it began
to cause friction in their political relations. Gradually, Franco Anglo relations began
to encompass territorial supremacy of the North American region. Interestingly, the
geopolitical situation during the early 18th century displayed English territory along
the Atlantic seaboard and in Rupert s Land, while France s territory concentrated in
the centre of North America.
Hostilities between France and Great Britain broke down in 1702 due to the
Spanish succession. In North America, this conflict had been referred to as Queen
Anne s War and resulted in the accelerated downfall of the New France. When the
war ended in 1713 with the signing of the Treaty of Utrecht France was forced to
ceded parts of its colony; Acadia, Newfoundland, Hudson Bay and the country of the
Iroquois. The Treaty of Utrecht is important because it signified the growing
emergence of English hegemony over North America, but more importantly it
exhibited English ambition to seize all French possession, indicating a policy of
Britain s interest to

Abstract:
Knowledge is something that comes from information processed by using data. It
includes experience, values, insights, and contextual information and helps in
evaluation and incorporation of new experiences and creation of new knowledge.
People use their knowledge in making decisions as well as many other actions. In the
last few years, many organizations realize they own a vast amount of knowledge and
that this knowledge needs to be managed in order to be useful. Knowledge

It also includes insight about information pertaining to the company s history;
customers; vendors; processes; stakeholders; and all other information that might
have value for a competitor that, perhaps, is not common knowledge. Intellectual
capital is therefore, not only organizational knowledge, it is also industry knowledge.
It is the combination of both cognitive knowledge and intuitive/experience related
knowledge. Intellectual capital is known for creating innovation and competitive
advantage in this knowledge based era. But knowledge management plays a dominant
role in obtaining, growing and sustaining intellectual capital in organizations which
implies that the successful implementation and usage of KM ensures the acquisition
and growth of Intellectual capital.
Organizations should deploy and manage their IC resources in order to maximize
value creation. The IC term was first introduced by Galbraith (1969) as a form of
Knowledge, intellect, and brainpower activity that uses knowledge to create value.
Since then, different views of IC have been emerged. For instance, view IC as a
knowledge that can be converted into value. IC as the aggregation of all knowledge
and competencies of employees that enable an organization to achieve competitive
advantages. In addition, IC is defined to include all non tangible assets and resources
in an organization, including its processes, innovation capacity, and
Themes in Rain of Gold, by Victor Villasenor Essay
Rain of Gold, is a true story about the history of Mexican people, their culture,
traditions and customs that were passed down from the Euro Indian heritage of
Mexico. Rain of Gold was written by Juan Villasenor in search for his ancestral
roots. The people of this story are real and not fiction. The places that are discussed
are true. And the incidents did actually happen to his family. There are several
underlying themes that need addressing. Such as: the importance of family, the
importance of religion and spiritualism, womanas center of home and family, respect
protection of woman s virtue; ideal of women as pure, power of the woman the

Dona Margarita married Juan Villasenor and they had Jose, Alejo, Luisa, Emilia,
Lucha, Domingo, and Juan Salvador. Juan Salvador and Lupe were destined to find
each other. Later Juan and Lupe would marry and have a family of their own.
Both families emphasis the importance of family. In this sense family is defined as
your immediate family consisting of your parents, brother (s) and/or sister (s).
No man, no matter how wonderful, is to be put before a women s first loyalty,
which is her family.... So understand you re no child, and you first loyalty is to your
brother and sister and me la familia , Dona Guadalupe saying this to Lupe (p. 42).
Lupe s first love was the Colonel who was fighting in the Revolution. Everyone in
the box canyon believed that the Colonel would steal their gold mine and give it to
the Americans. Lupe loved this man with all her heart and couldn t believe that
anyone thought he would do such a thing to hurt the people of Mexico. And Dona
Guadalupe had to tell her that her first loyalty should be to her family and it didn t
revolve around the man you love. The goal of both families was to one day see their
children be married and have children of their own.
The importance of religion and spiritualism is what held these families together
through all they had to endure.
Dona Margarita once told Juan Salvador, Do you really think God stopped talking to
us, His people, with the Jews and the Bible. Oh, no mi
Sexual Adventure
Jenny was bored with her life and her marriage. She wanted to spice up her life and
her time in the bedroom. For the longest time she had been wondering why her
husband only wanted to have sex one time a month, and then it was only in one
position; missionary. There was nothing new to their love making, it had always
been the same. But after twenty years of marriage, she d enough, and wanted
something new. She went to a web page she had heard some co workers talking
about and looked around. Her eyes were wide with wonder why ll she read stories
of sexual adventure. She could feel her body getting hotter as she read more and
more stories of how girls allowed males to use their bodies. Not just one man, but
several. It was called a gangbang, and she felt her pussy clench as she wondered
what it would feel like. Pulling her panties down she pushed a finger into her wet
hole as she read the story of a woman who had allowed five guys to do her. The
woman had a dick in all holes of her body more than one time, Jenny knew that she
wanted to do this. The problem was she didn t know if she really wanted to do it,
sure it was a nice fantasy. But she really was a one woman man, and that was still
her husband, even if he was boring. She wondered what her husband Tony would
say if he knew she wanted to be fucked by more than one man. He was never very
adventurous. But perhaps she could talk him into it. Or maybe she should just sneak
out and do it without him. Her face
Drive Of Life Poem
The title, Drive of Life, indicates to me a long road trip. The long road trip is an
individual s life. It suggests that a person s life will continue on through, twists, turns,
and obstacles. The drive is an individual s life journey and all the events that they
may have during their life time.
The beginning of this poem starts by telling us that the drive of life and journey
has started. On your journey of life you will face many decisions that may leave
you to a point where you can t go on, or to a point where you will go through many
turns. On your life journey you will see many things. With your eyes you will see
mountains and storms. Additionally you will come across and see heartache and
scorn sometime on your life journey. You may be living life so fast that you can t
stop to catch a look at the outside world.
There may be times that the Devil or snake will lead you in the wrong direction and
cause a crash along the way. When this happens you may be scared, but if you look
to God for guidance, like a guard rail on the road, you will be able to continue on.
As the journey comes to an end you can reflect on your life and give wisdom to
others so that they can have a successful life as well. This advice may help them in
the years ahead in their future. This narrative poem is talking about an individual s
life and events that may occur throughout. The speaker is talking to any reader by
telling them about the drive of life. They want them to be aware of many troubles
or obstacles that one can face during their life journey. The Drive of Life uses
instances of imagery and figurative language throughout. The third line compares
decisions to dead ends and hairpins by using a simile. This can enhance the poem
by showing that some of your decisions outcomes can come to a point where you
can t continue on or the decision will cause you to go through many turns. When the
poem goes on to talk about how I see mountains, storms, heartache, and scorn it uses
imagery and repetition. By using repetition and imagery you can really imagine what
the mountains and scenery may look like. It enhances the picture in your head of the
journey the individual is taking on the drive of life. An uphill drop is also

motivate the workers and to provide adequate information for control and reasonable

The labor standard of one unit every 30 minutes, recommended by the consulting

40 minutes per unit would be used in reporting. Management also concluded that the
workers would not be informed of the cost standard used for reporting purposes. The

Mercutio Foil
In Shakespeare s famous play Romeo and Juliet, the most memorable character,
Mercutio, was killed off early, but he still managed to contribute greatly to the plot of
the tragic love story. Everybody knows one of the main themes of the play is love,
however Mercutio is an anti romantic character making him a foil to Romeo. Another
importance of him is his witty, extravagant way with words that diverts all the
attention to him and enlightens the scenes. The name Mercutio itself origins from the
term mercurial, which means unpredictable changes of mood and mind, and just like
them Mercutio s hot headed, wild personality leads to situations in the play that help
escalate the play. Mercutio s significant traits make him the most memorable to the
play.
Although one of the main themes of the play was love, Mercutio s opinion on it is
contradicting. Anyone who has ever heard of Romeo and Juliet knows that the
story involves young lovers that fall in love so deeply they die for it, Mercutio,
however, has a different outlook on love than love sick Romeo. Mercutio mocks
Romeo s idea of love in the story with the Queen Mab speech and describes love as a
physical pursuit. His opinions contrasts with Romeo s, making Mercutio a foil and
helps us better comprehend Romeo s character. Mercutio goes on to talk about
dreams in his speech saying they are just a man s desires and often leads to false
hope for dreamers. This makes Romeo s dream of his love for Rosaline doubtful,

Hunter Gatherer Diet Essay
Purpose Statement My essay, The Immediate Effect Diet has on Your Microbiome,
will be presented to my classmates and instructor Jaime Astacio. It is a summary
and response to Tim Spector s article, What a Hunter Gatherer Diet does to the
Body in Just Three Days. This will be a class discussion and I would greatly
appreciate constructive feedback from my peers. The topic explores health and well
being, which is very relevant today due visible social standards. Tim s editorial takes
place in Tanzania, where there is a vast variety of plant and animal species the Hadza
tribe survive on. Although very geographically different from where we call home,
the piece suggests that reconnecting with nature might just be what we all need....

High diversity is associated with a low risk of obesity and many diseases. He and
a colleague wanted to do an experiment to see if intestinal health could improve in
just a few days, so they set off to Tanzania to hunt and gather with the Hadza tribe.
The Hadza are one of the last groups of hunter gatherers in Africa Sparks 2 and they
have a very diverse microbiome. During the study, they foraged for baobab fruit
and kongorobi berries, which are high in fiber and vitamin C. They also stalked
and killed porcupines and hyrax which they cooked over a fire. Meat, carcass, and
organs were eaten, nothing of nutritional value is wasted. They dug tubers from the
ground and collected honey from a comb on a tree branch. There were many perils
during the trip. Aside from bee stings and sharp porcupine needles, they had to be
wary of snakes and scorpions. The meals they dined on may not have been the
tastiest, but they were packed with vitamins and antioxidants. Throughout the
adventure, Tim was producing stool samples that would be analyzed for microbe
diversity when they returned home three days later. What they found was shocking.
The good news was my gut microbial diversity increased 20%, including totally
novel African microbes. The bad news was, after just a few days, they returned to
where they were before the trip. Their
The Dangers Of Social Media
The Dangers Of Social Media
The world of social media can be a broad spectrum of various possibilities and a
deep pool of the unknown. When diving into the world of social media you have to
consider the fact that technology has become so advanced that people don t even
have to meet you in order to know who you are without even being present in your
person lives. Nowadays you have all sorts of spyware which gives a predator the
capability of invading your daily life. We will get more into the different types
further along the way. Social media although can be exciting to those that are
unaware of these dangers. To people like these; they are prone to damaging their
devices and having their most sensitive information stolen. Information such as
social security numbers, credit card information, utility billing, and so on. Many
people become engulfed in this way of living which in turn makes their devices
their lives in a sense. It makes people depended on their electronics, many people
wouldn t be able to survive or get around without a cellular device in today s age.
Many people turn to the world of social media to bring them up to date in on the
hottest topics or trends, the latest news, or as a way to feel socially accepted. It
kind makes it hard for people to actually socialize normally in person and tend to
come out of their shells further when behind a computer screen. In my opinion it is
sort of an outlet for most people who are afraid to be them actual selves or real

  • 1. Essay On My Dream Job Writing an essay on the topic "Essay On My Dream Job" can be both a challenging and rewarding task. The difficulty lies not only in the necessity to articulate one's aspirations but also in presenting them in a compelling and coherent manner. The task demands introspection, research, and effective communication skills to convey the passion and reasoning behind the chosen dream job. Firstly, the process requires deep self-reflection to identify and articulate one's dream job. It's not just about stating a job title; it involves understanding the motivations, personal values, and skills that align with the envisioned career. This introspective phase can be time-consuming and may require revisiting one's long-term goals. Furthermore, research becomes crucial to substantiate the choice of a dream job. Whether it's exploring the industry, understanding the required qualifications, or delving into the day-to-day responsibilities, a well-researched essay adds credibility and depth. This phase demands thorough investigation and the ability to synthesize information effectively. The challenge continues in the actual writing process. Crafting a compelling narrative requires the writer to strike a balance between personal anecdotes, academic or professional achievements, and the specific reasons why the chosen job is the dream. Translating passion into words while maintaining a structured and coherent essay can be intricate. Moreover, addressing the essay's tone and style adds another layer of complexity. Balancing enthusiasm with professionalism, and sincerity with a persuasive touch, is a fine line to walk. The essay must engage the reader emotionally while maintaining a level of formality suitable for an academic or professional context. In conclusion, writing an essay on the topic of "Essay On My Dream Job" is a demanding task that involves self-reflection, in-depth research, and effective communication skills. Г†lseby was once again causing trouble a few years after this previous incident; after another woman had said to Г†lseby that she was a tramp who wished her husband dead , Г†lseby went to the woman s house and started beating her up. Many would stereotype Г†lseby has a quarrelsome woman who is commonly associated with being a witch. Mitchell takes Г†lseby behavior a step further by referencing other scholars who said that back during this time period women like Г†lseby who was regarded as contentious, outspoken, troublesome... were considered to be evil women. From the time she is born to her reproductive system evolving, getting her first menstrual cycle and having to worry about getting sexually related dieses. A woman s body is constantly adjusting and adapting as it grows. Through all the years of science most of the female body and how it works is still unknown today. The female body is a beautiful mystery. The female reproductive system consists of both external and internal genitals. Of all the parts that make up the reproductive system the main two parts are the uterus, which holds and develops the fetus and the ovaries, which are two cavities that hold the woman s eggs. The ovaries can produce and hold anywhere from 40,000 eggs to 400,000 eggs each. The body then begins a process called ovulation at which the ovary releases an egg through what are called fallopian tubes or canals into the uterus. The egg then attaches to the uterus lining called the endometrium, which nourishes the egg during and through pregnancy. While the egg makes its journey through the fallopian tubes it can either be fertilized by the male sperm or not. If the egg does not get fertilized then it is expelled through the vagina in a process called menstruation. The vagina is a hollow, tunnel like structure of the female internal genitalia whose reproductive functions are to receive the penis and its ejaculate, serve as a route of exit for the newborn, and provide an exit for
  • 9. Daisy Miller by Henry James There is an importance of the international theme that helps people better understand the differences of American and European culture. When these two cultures clash, this leads to understanding just how different Americans are from their European counterparts. Even though the international theme helps one find the differences in the continent and country, it also enables one to note the significant evilness that Europepossesses. There are so many distinctions that Europeans and Americans that they just might not see the picture of what Daisy Miller is about. The characters that Henry Jameswrites about in Daisy Miller come across as being innocent, free, and fresh. This can only be said for the American characters. There were always sentences that make Europeans seem like they are snobby and corrupt. There is that little hint of sophistication. One would assume that this comes with the territory. When Daisy and her family are in Europe, they represent the New World element in the Old World. The protagonist, Daisy Miller, is beautiful and charming. She is unlike anybody else in Europe because all of the other people act mature and somewhat boring. She is just a free spirit that tries to incorporate as much of the European element as much as she possibly can. Her way of doing so is a bit unusual to the locals, but this is the way that she wants to spend her time in Europe. Because she choses to do so, she is unappreciated in terms of the how the Europeans want her to act

  • 14. Art In The Age Of Mechanical Reproduction In order to properly argue my point it is best to lay out the framework of Benjamin s argument. Benjamin begins his essay, The Work of Art in the Age of Mechanical Reproduction by briefly distinguishing his categories from traditional aesthetic values, those of creativity and genius, eternal value and mystery (Benjamin, 218). In contrast, he relates these tendencies to bourgeois and fascist ideologies and to the conditions, inevitably generated out of capitalism itself, which provoke revolutionary demands in the politics of art (217 8) Benjamin claims that in times past the role of art has been to provide a magical foundation for the cult. Here the artwork s use value was located in its central position within ritual and religious tradition (223 4). A statue or idol conveyed a sense of authority, or magical power, which inhered in that particular historical artifact. The reproduction in mass of such an item would have been unthinkable because it was a unique singularity, and it would lose its aura . He focuses on describing the objects aura, defining the aura as: We define the aura of the later as the unique phenomenon of a distance, however close it may be. If, while resting on a summer afternoon, you follow with your eyes a mountain range on the horizon or a branch which casts its shadow over you, you experience the aura of those mountains, of that branch (222 3). The term implies an atmosphere and a transcendent feeling that happens when you experience an object.

But following the war of 1948 49, this land was divided into three parts: the state of Israel, the West Bank (of the Jordan River) and the Gaza Strip (1). The UN partition plan divided the country in such a way that each state would have a majority of its own population, although some Jewish settlements would fall within the proposed Palestinian state and many Palestinians would become part of the proposed Jewish state. After serving a term in the Nebraska Army Guard, Higgins traveled to the Gulf Coast in the 1920s, where he eventually started a lumber business in New Orleans(Tobias). However, his work required boats in order to receive wood out of shallow water areas and swamps, thus the creation of Higgins Boats, which would eventually grow into Higgins Industries. One can conclude that Higgins never received a degree in engineering, therefore he might not been the smartest boy on the block, some may say he was even a dreamer, but he forced his intricate ideas to become reality with the help of engineers and architects. that did not stop him from growing Higgins Industries to the empire it became. The Pros And Cons Of Nuclear Testing For decades, states seeking to limit nuclear weapons have called for a CTBT in the conviction that a comprehensive test ban would foreclose the ability to develop new and more powerful types of nuclear arms and would be an important stepping stone to the objective of ultimately eliminating all nuclear weapons. Historically, the nuclear powers have depended on nuclear testing to develop new types of nuclear weapons and to a far lesser extent, to confirm the reliability of their arsenals. The United Statesand other countries concerned about nuclear proliferationalso have supported a CTBT as a means for slowing the spread of advanced nuclear weapon capabilities to additional countries. They have argued that although a state seeking to develop nuclear weapons may not need to conduct a test to build a simple fission bomb, such tests would be necessary to develop more complex and powerful thermonuclear weapons. Carbon is found in all meteorites, and historically, the prevailing view was that all atmospheric carbon found on Earth was in the form of carbon dioxide (Shaw). Recently, however, this viewpoint has been disproved for a number of reasons. The first is that geological evidence would be present if the atmosphere was full of carbon dioxide, which is lacking. The second reason is the delay in oxygenation of the atmosphere following the development of the first oxygen producing microbes. The third reason is the longstanding balance between carbonate carbon and biogenic carbon at a ratio of about 4 to 1 (Shaw). This suggests that it was unlikely that the atmosphere was full of carbon in the form of carbon dioxide. It is believed that the early ocean held most of the carbon. The primordial soup theory suggests that the early ocean had a high concentration of photochemically produced complex organic compounds as well as oxidized sediments, which slowly released carbon dioxide into the atmosphere (Shaw). These factors are also the same factors that likely lead to the initial evolution of primitive life in the ocean. This explanation better fits the geological timeframe for the oxygenation and buildup of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere (Shaw). A common theory for the presence of carbon dioxide in the Earth s atmosphere is the

The novella depicts actions and decisions which prove that behind the widely perceived glory and grandeur of conquest lies nothing but brutality and greed. However, Conrad limits the reliability of this perspective by only detailing these vivid occurrences through Marlow s first hand experience; when Marlow encounters the shrunken heads on sticks, he confronts the situation in a rather dismissive way even going so far as to unironically describe the heads as impressive (Conrad, 1899, p. 96). By restricting perception of outside events to objective descriptions, Conrad focuses on the inner conflicts arising within characters like Marlow, as well as on Marlow s initial inability to comprehend the barbarism of the situation. This supports Hume s opinion that the influence exerted by raw sensory perception on a person s mentality far exceeds the influence exerted by subsequent contemplation of the stimulus. In other words, the impact that the initial situation holds is clearer than one s understanding of it. Similarly, when Marlow initially rises to overtake Fresleven s job position, he suppresses the gnawing feeling

  • 28. Od Intervention Essay It is perhaps via conventional wisdom and understanding to consider others whom we encounter as defined by their roles. This convention further implies that when describing a specific role, that it is this role which partially defines a person, whether by virtue of their profession, position, or circumstance. The roles which we engage in are distinct, and thus become synonymous with everyday individualexperiences. They help to establish certain boundaries, while also providing a sense of assurance by way of helping us to identify and define our place within a given context and environment for which we may better understand our place in society, specifically in relation to others. Therefore, when identifying and defining respective individual ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... To answer this question, Burke (2011) suggests that perhaps a more accurate assessment is to change the paradigm of how one might define the client by describing the client as the relationships or interfaces established between individuals, which is where the focus of the intervention is to be directed. Although this may initially seem somewhat perplexing, it does provide an alternative point of view when considering OD intervention, and its intended purposes. Defining a role as something rather than someone, for instance relationship rather than position, does not appear to follow conventional wisdom, as it seems rather unintuitive. However, when considering OD intervention, this shift in our paradigm may help provide a more accurate definition when considering the work involved. Specifically, within the context of OD intervention, one must consider that no individual is an island unto himself ; every individual role exists in relationship with and to others, regardless of his or her position, and these relationships emerge from our interactions, communications, and experiences with and between each other. Each person is therefore part of a greater whole, and it is within this context that the intervention can take place. Therefore, this distinction between an individuals role and position, is perhaps of greatest importance when thinking of OD intervention, since it is not the role or position itself that needs consideration, but the interactions that take place between

However, when asked the question, what are your personal values, beliefs, and principles the first responses are often a laundry list of characteristics with the assumption that the three words are synonymous. From my experience, when asked this question the list grew longer and I started to wonder what the differences existed between each of these terms. Recognizing these differences is a major component of discovering how I make decisions when facing ethical dilemmas involving directives that may be morally unsound. Hence, I began the search of how the terms relate, their meaning and what my answer is to this question. Since I invested time to find the differences in principles, beliefs and values my long list became more defined. So, the essay will encompass the definitions of the terms, explain two elements for each category, how they relate to one another and how the knowledge influences tough decisions. Values What are values and what makes these different from principles and beliefs? Various references agree that values are the motivations and behaviors used to determine priorities of what one sees as important in life and work (MindTools.com, 2017; Atkins, 2017; Value, n.d.). Ancient Civilizations Of India And China Ryan Zorn Rachel Gatto Riley King Brianna Vinup Ancient India and China The ancient civilizations of India and China were possibly the most advanced of their time. Both countries had much to offer in that time including new technology, governments, religions, and items to trade. The two countries have and had had many similarities and contrasts. The geography of ancient India was a little different than what is to this day. The Himalayan mountains are located in the Northern part of India and the Hindu Kush are located in the North West. Three bodies of water surround southern India, the Arabian sea is to the south west, the Indian ocean on the southern side, and The Bay of Bengal to the southeast. India was extended more to the Northwest and west, in ancient times. Jungles, forests, and mountains are great examples of the geography of India. The Himalayan mountains still lay to the north. The Himalayan mountains were great to the development of India s early civilizations. They provided a great deal of protection from military invasions. In the east and west other mountains also provided the same protection. Ancient India had some of the most extreme climatic and geographical features. China is located on the the continent of Asia. The Crucible shows unjust decisions controlled by manipulated courts and envious girls. The court officials put 200 people through the misery of being accused of practicing acts associated with the devil, and they executed 20. The theme that comes to mind after these actions are brought up is inequity. Abigail accused many people in the town of Salemof actions that they did not do. She made the marriage of John and Elizabeth Proctorunstable by still trying to steal John from Elizabeth even though John was trying to regain the trust of his wife. Another theme that is present is that reputations can be altered easily. Going back to the Abigail and John incident, John s reputation was brought down when the court found out that he cheated on his wife. Another example of how reputations are judged in this play is when John didn t want his name posted on the church door. His name would have been frowned upon since it would have been on the list of people who practiced witchcraft, and he knew people would think less of him (62). Abigail also fed false accusations about well respected people in the town of Salem. Abigail had told the court that Elizabeth Proctor had been practicing the devil s work, and Elizabeth then got taken away even though she hadn t had done anything (37). A good reputation can be easily faltered, and it is a

The princesses having, or not having, outside assistance in their journeys makes their character act and think differently. The princess in Donkeyskin, though being the optimal choice of a bride for the king for being wise and accomplished, is not as overtly clever and wise as the princess in All Kinds of Fur. The princess, referred to as All Kinds of Fur, is solely responsible for her choices and actions, coming only from her own savvy brain. Horrified by her father s incestuous demands, All Fur seeks her own counsel. (Marshall 409). Firstly she contrives the seemingly impossible tasks that she sets upon her father, including having him obtain one dress golden as the sun, one as silvery as the moon, and one as bright as the stars (Grimm, All Kinds of Fur ) and a mantle of a thousand different kinds of fur and hair (Grimm, All Kinds of Fur ). It suggests that a person s life will continue on through, twists, turns, and obstacles. The drive is an individual s life journey and all the events that they may have during their life time. The beginning of this poem starts by telling us that the drive of life and journey has started. On your journey of life you will face many decisions that may leave you to a point where you can t go on, or to a point where you will go through many turns. On your life journey you will see many things. With your eyes you will see mountains and storms. Additionally you will come across and see heartache and scorn sometime on your life journey. You may be living life so fast that you can t stop to catch a look at the outside world. There may be times that the Devil or snake will lead you in the wrong direction and cause a crash along the way. When this happens you may be scared, but if you look to God for guidance, like a guard rail on the road, you will be able to continue on. As the journey comes to an end you can reflect on your life and give wisdom to others so that they can have a successful life as well. This advice may help them in the years ahead in their future. This narrative poem is talking about an individual s life and events that may occur throughout. The speaker is talking to any reader by telling them about the drive of life. They want them to be aware of many troubles or obstacles that one can face during their life journey. The Drive of Life uses instances of imagery and figurative language throughout. The third line compares decisions to dead ends and hairpins by using a simile. This can enhance the poem by showing that some of your decisions outcomes can come to a point where you can t continue on or the decision will cause you to go through many turns. When the poem goes on to talk about how I see mountains, storms, heartache, and scorn it uses imagery and repetition. By using repetition and imagery you can really imagine what the mountains and scenery may look like. It enhances the picture in your head of the journey the individual is taking on the drive of life. After much discussion, management decided to use a dual standard. The labor standard of one unit every 30 minutes, recommended by the consulting firm, would be employed in the plant as a motivation device, while a cost standard of 40 minutes per unit would be used in reporting. Management also concluded that the workers would not be informed of the cost standard used for reporting purposes. The production vice president conducted several sessions prior to implementation in the plant, informing the workers of the new standard cost system and answering questions. The new standards were not related to incentive pay but were introduced when wages were increased to Rs7 per hour. The standard cost system was implemented on January 1, 19 . • 49. Mercutio Foil In Shakespeare s famous play Romeo and Juliet, the most memorable character, Mercutio, was killed off early, but he still managed to contribute greatly to the plot of the tragic love story. Everybody knows one of the main themes of the play is love, however Mercutio is an anti romantic character making him a foil to Romeo. Another importance of him is his witty, extravagant way with words that diverts all the attention to him and enlightens the scenes. The name Mercutio itself origins from the term mercurial, which means unpredictable changes of mood and mind, and just like them Mercutio s hot headed, wild personality leads to situations in the play that help escalate the play. Mercutio s significant traits make him the most memorable to the play. Although one of the main themes of the play was love, Mercutio s opinion on it is contradicting. Anyone who has ever heard of Romeo and Juliet knows that the story involves young lovers that fall in love so deeply they die for it, Mercutio, however, has a different outlook on love than love sick Romeo. Mercutio mocks Romeo s idea of love in the story with the Queen Mab speech and describes love as a physical pursuit. His opinions contrasts with Romeo s, making Mercutio a foil and helps us better comprehend Romeo s character. Mercutio goes on to talk about dreams in his speech saying they are just a man s desires and often leads to false hope for dreamers. This makes Romeo s dream of his love for Rosaline doubtful, therefore

It is a summary and response to Tim Spector s article, What a Hunter Gatherer Diet does to the Body in Just Three Days. This will be a class discussion and I would greatly appreciate constructive feedback from my peers. The topic explores health and well being, which is very relevant today due visible social standards. Tim s editorial takes place in Tanzania, where there is a vast variety of plant and animal species the Hadza tribe survive on. Although very geographically different from where we call home, the piece suggests that reconnecting with nature might just be what we all need.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... High diversity is associated with a low risk of obesity and many diseases. He and a colleague wanted to do an experiment to see if intestinal health could improve in just a few days, so they set off to Tanzania to hunt and gather with the Hadza tribe. The Hadza are one of the last groups of hunter gatherers in Africa Sparks 2 and they have a very diverse microbiome. During the study, they foraged for baobab fruit and kongorobi berries, which are high in fiber and vitamin C. They also stalked and killed porcupines and hyrax which they cooked over a fire. Meat, carcass, and organs were eaten, nothing of nutritional value is wasted. They dug tubers from the ground and collected honey from a comb on a tree branch. There were many perils during the trip. Aside from bee stings and sharp porcupine needles, they had to be wary of snakes and scorpions. The meals they dined on may not have been the tastiest, but they were packed with vitamins and antioxidants. Throughout the adventure, Tim was producing stool samples that would be analyzed for microbe diversity when they returned home three days later. What they found was shocking. The good news was my gut microbial diversity increased 20%, including totally novel African microbes. The bad news was, after just a few days, they returned to where they were before the trip. Their

From ancient time s human civilization are using silver for jewelleries, utensils, weapons, coin, medicine, water containing tanks. From early days silver is assisting the immune system when it was plentiful available in dissolved metallic form in water[1]. In periodic table it is placed at 47th position near to heavy metal.it is a transition metal. It has atomic weight 107.8. Silver has good metallic property like malleability, ductility, thermal conductivity and electrical conductivity [2]. Silver exhibit the excellent anti microbial property. After the development of nanotechnology we are using silver extensively in various area. Now a day we use silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) instead of metallic silver for many of daily uses. It is seen that AgNPs is highest degree of commercialisation among all the Nanoparticles in medical and health sector. There are numerous uses where AgNPs are used like in cloths, medicines, disinfectants, tiles, surgical equipment, and silver coated bone prosthesis. Nao silver is also used in room spray, paints and laundry detergents. Many manufacture using nano silver in washing machines and refrigerators.
