Finally Rogue Access Points are the access points which are set up by a department or an
individual for some reasons. These Rogue access points are unsecured, so the drive by hacker can
have an entry points to the network. This is really dangerous because only one Rogue access point
can make the network in threat of hacker although you protect all of your official access point very
well.
Although there are many threat of WLAN, you still can reduce those threats by applying some
technology in your network. For example, you can use a Core Security Standard. It provides
protection, which are confidentiality, authentication and message integrity, between the wireless
access point and the wireless host. Furthermore, you also can use Wired equivalent privacy
(WEP) security. In WEP, everyone shares the same access point, which requires the same key,
and WEP s key is not automated mechanism for changing. On the other hand, Wireless Protected
Access (WPA) is also an option for you. WPA is developed by using the concept of Core security
standard, so it could be used on older wireless access points and it is stronger than WEP. Finally,
802.11i is another solution for your concerns about the network security. 802.11i is considered as
WAP2, and it uses extremely strong AES CCMP encryption, which has 129 bits keys and a key
management method for automatically changing keys. That s all about the

Technology in Classrooms Essay
To help improve academics at Jackson High School, the district should provide more technology
in the classrooms. We should get iPads in every classroom that we have. We should also be able
to use our cell phones. Technology has increased over the years and our school district should be
up to date on its tools. There are several reasons for why we should get these devices in our
classrooms. One of the materials that we should get at our school is iPad s. It would help us
become more organized with all of our subjects. A freshman at a high schoolin Michigan said, It s
helped us become more organized. We re not losing papers. It s all in our iPad. (Smith). Students

A media specialist named John Schumacher from Oak Brook, Illinois says that there are
advantages of using cell phones in the classroom these days. He said he has his students look up
QR codes and barcodes that are readable on phones (Staff). Students and teachers should be able
to use social networking sites. For example, they could be rewarded and get on it in their free
time or they could use it for school purposes. Our school should be able to trust us enough to be
mature about what websites we get on. In high school we should already know right from
wrong. Although, there should be a discipline plan for students who do break the rules. Learning
how to use these tools appropriately is growing up and it being a part of life (Davis). Therefore,
if a student breaks a rule using one of the devices he or she should be the only one that gets
punished. Every student in the high school should not be punished just because one person did
something that was not appropriate. However, all students including teachers should have to fill
out an AUP form. If someone breaks any of the rules they all they have to do is see where they
agreed not to and take away their privileges. The last reason why we should have iPads and cell
phone devices in our classrooms is because the 21st century is all about technology. In addition, the

The Memelon
Nature Morte, essentially still life, refers to the portrayal of inanimate objects within images. One
Artist, recognized for his iconic impressionistic still life work, is Edouard Manet (1832 1883).
Manet is revered for being a key instigator in the transition from realism to impressionism; his still
life impressionism works were amongst those considered the genesis of the impressionist
movement in the late 19th Century. Manet was raised in Paris, to affluent family. Upon failure to
make it into the Navy, Manet began to find his love for art and painting. Manet s work The Melon
(c.1880), a still lifepainting of a single watermelon, encapsulates this historical movement of still
life paintings.
Manet s titular work The Melon s solitary subject matter is a watermelon. The composition of
this painting is simple, a trait of Manet s which developed along side his journey into
impressionism. Despite being a journey that was heavily criticized, it is the style and nuance of
Manet s melon, which sets it apart from traditional still life images. The melon is isolated. It s
placed on an innocuous beige support, against a solid black background. However it is through the
use of this space around the Melon that Manet is able to utilize the light, which floods the left side
of the melon, to create a very soft, fragile, beautiful painting. ... Show more content on

It is this bold style, which, at the time, viewers found jarring and unnatural, that attracts modern day
viewers to Manet s work. The sudden transitions between the colors within the melon, dictated by
the soft light source, complement the bold textures. It is this transition of color that gives the object
its clear 3D shape. Every brushstroke operated individually, drawing attention to the shape and

The Gods of the Norse
The people of Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Iceland and the Faroe Islands are the Norse (people of
the north) or as they are known today, the Scandinavians. Norse religion and mythology began to
take place in the Bronze Age (A.D. 780 1070) and are the collected stories of the ancient religion
of the people from Scandinavia (Daly x). Daly states that Norse mythology did not start in the
Scandinavian area of Europe. Norse mythology originated, according to experts, in Asia, was
modified in the European Mediterranean lands and eventually was carried north and west by
migrating Teutonic tribes, in the third to sixth centuries A.D. during the break up of the Roman
Empire. (Daly ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
(D aulaires 12). Only Niflheim (a waste of frozen fog) and Muspelheim (a place of raging
flames) existed. Between Niflheim and Muspelheim there was a gaping pit called Ginnungagap.
As embers and ice whirled around the dark, dismal pit they began to whirl faster and faster until
fire created a spark of life within the ice. The frost giant, Ymir, a jotun, and an ice cow emerged
from the pit. Ymir fell into a deep sleep. While he slept a male and female jotun formed from the
warmth of his left armpit and a six headed troll grew from his feet. The ice cow also brought life
to this world. As she licked and licked the saltiness of Ginnungagap a head of hair and then a
whole body appeared from under her tongue. Next, a handsome man and his son appeared. The son,
Borr, married a jotun maiden, Bestla. Together they had three sons who were so fair that they lit up
the darkness around them. These three sons Odin, Hoenir and Lodur were the first of the Aesir
gods. They had the power to create a world. To do this the brothers had to kill Ymir first.
Successfully, the brothers killed Ymir and pushed his body into Ginnungagap. Brine flowed from
his wounds and flooded over the rim, creating the sea and killing his offspring and the cow. The
brothers then took Ymir s body out of the sea and began to make the earth out of his body. The
flesh became the land. The bones became the mountains. The teeth made into rocks, the hair

Edward Macdowell s Of A Wild Rose From Woodland Sketches
Edward MacDowell s To a Wild Rose from Woodland Sketches (1896) American born, but
European trained, Edward MacDowell is known as one of America s prominent composers
during the Gilded Age. With the rise of musical nationalism in America, MacDowell composed
Woodland Sketches in 1896, which comprised of ten piano pieces whose titles refer to the
American landscape and his personal experiences. The most well known piece of the ten is To a
Wild Rose. To a Wild Rose highlights MacDowell s skills as a composer to harvest deep
emotions and impressions from the listener from a simple motive; however, it was also an
attempt for MacDowell to claim an identity as an American composer. In April 1876,
MacDowell s mother took him to Paris to attend the Conservatoire, where he studied piano with
Antoine F. Marmontel (Pesce). Dissatisfied, MacDowell went on to Germany in 1878, which
helped further his career (Pesce). The beginning of MacDowell s success as a composer came
with the publication of his Erste Modern Suite by German firms (Pesce). Edward MacDowell
then married Marian Nevins, a fellow American, and settled in Germany from 1885 to 1888
where he would devote himself exclusively to composition (Pesce). Due to financial difficulties,
MacDowell would decide to return to America in the autumn of 1888. Upon returning from
Europe, MacDowell would perform a series concerts that led to the rise of his popularity as a
musician. It was typical for American composersto return to

Difference Between Wooden Motte And Bailey Castles
Because of a lack of a strong central government during feudal society, wars happened often. For
protection every noble built a castle. The first proper castles were built in England after the
Norman Conquest in 1066. Wooden motte and bailey castles were the first type of castle to be
built in England. The tower of the keepwas built a huge mound called a motte and had an
enclosed courtyard called a bailey. It would have been very difficult to get up the sides of the
motte because they were so steep. A ditch dug around the bottom of the motte also added
protection. The bailey was located at the bottom of the motte and could be up to three acres.
Followers of the lord who ran the castlelived inside the bailey. There were many buildings in the
bailey including bakeries, kitchens, houses, stables, and living quarters for soldiers.
Motte and bailey castles were quick and easy to build. Some could even be finished in a couple of
weeks. However, wooden buildings caught on fire easily and stone structures were much stronger.
Because of this, motte and bailey castles were soon replaced with stone castles.

They had two or three walls around the keep. Because the inside walls were built higher than the
outside walls, defenders could shoot arrows over the heads of the soldiers defending the outside
walls. Even if an enemy broke though the outer walls, there was a second castle defended and with
supplies waiting for them. Known as the death hole, being trapped between two walls of a castle
would result in almost certain death for the attacker. Some concentric castles even had moats for
more protection. After the invention of gun powder concentric castles became even more popular
because they could withstand bullets while a wooden castle could

Church s Opposition To Capital Punishment In The Roman...
Capital punishment: the legally authorized killing of someone as punishment for crime. In the
United States, there is a distinct line between matters of Church and State; capital punishment falls
under the territory of the State. But, in 1974, the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, the
USCCB, made the decision to publically announce the Roman Catholic Churchs opposition to
capital punishment after a former president of the USCCB called the issue of capital punishment
not only a profound legal and political question but also an important moral and religious issue. But,
even this sagacious group of Church officials had a difficult time pin pointing the Church s exact
reasoning for their defensive against capital punishment. Throughout the article, the bishops try to
make sense of many twisting questions, including: in the eyes of the Church, what circumstances, if
any, make capital punishment acceptable? Although the 1980 article was released by the USCCB
in attempts to help the people of the Church understand this contradictory issue, it fell short due to
the fact that even the accredited statements run in circles.
According to Part I, Purposes of Punishment , the Catholic Church is not and will never be
completely sure if the state has the right to end the life of a person guilty for a heinous crime. While
ending the villain s life protects the citizens from danger, it violates the Roman Catholic Church s
belief that all life has value. Bishops urged

Pharmacist Accomplishments
Last week, I had the privilege of listening to Dr. Phil Schneider, the director of pharmacy at the
Olathe Medical Center, Olathe, Kansas. Dr. Schneider s lecture reemphasized the need for students
to consider residency programs after graduating from the Doctor of Pharmacy program (PharmD).
As a third year pharmacystudent, I have heard so much about how residency could make me an
outstanding pharmacist, but never took it seriously. However, hearing it directly from a director of
pharmacy that residency will get me the job, promotion and networking opportunities after
graduation has rekindled my interest in doing residency. Since the inception of my pharmacy

Dr. Schneider spoke about how he succeeded his boss after she left for another job offer because
his employers considered him better trained and equipped for the job as a result of doing a
residency. For a pharmacist who just started working without any prior residency training, the
confidence to serve at a higher level would have been missing. It is certain that residency will
give me the experience to be well rounded in my profession and also confer the confidence I need
to take on more challenging roles in life. Another way residency can help me as a pharmacist is
in the aspect of building a strong networking team. As a resident, I will have the opportunity to
work with numerous people from different backgrounds where knowledge transfer can take place.
This will help me learn new skills, new ideas, and also gain meaningful experience from other
senior colleagues. There would be times I need advice in making a therapeutic decision and
knowing someone to call could make a huge difference.
In conclusion, doing a residency program after graduation is such a great way to be an
outstanding and successful pharmacist in life. Residency will not only get me a dream job, but it
can also help me gain accelerated promotion in my work place and build a strong networking
foundation as a

Reflection About Stress
Obviously, whether we want or not, stresses are happening everyday in our life. They can come
from the external impact like an exam is coming, to the internal impact as pressure from yourself
to achieve an A score; or from a small problem with low intensity like a traffic jam on the street, to
a big issue with high intensity like being in a huge terrorism. It seems that we cannot run away
from stress, it is something irresistible that we have to accept. Because stress is unavoidable, we
need to learn how to deal with them efficiently. Some kinds of stresses can bring to us positive
effects that motivate us to handle things better, but majority of them give us bad feelings and
negative effects to our general health. As my personal hardly to find the balance between study,
work, and family, I am right now struggling of dealing with stresses, that are caused by the
pressure from assignments and exams in studying, workloads of my job and the responsibility to

Neo-Confucian Self-Cultivation And Free Speech
Neo Confucian self cultivation and free speech
Introduction
In the western civilizations, especially in the United States, people pay a lot of attention to the
freedom of speech and expression. We see americans refer to the freedom of speech in TV series,
news media, courts and many other places. Such a freedom has been strongly protected from
government restrictions by the First Amendment to the United States Constitution since 1791. And
the idea of the free speech has been interiorized into the broader liberal and individualistic western
ideology for a long time.
Nowadays, with a rising China and the oriental philosophy, the western notion of the free speech
may encounter an equivalent cousin for the first time. One of the most influential school of thought
is the Neo Confucianism, as it had been the orthodoxy from the 12th Century to the early 20th
Century. Different from the western liberal and individualistic one, the free speech in the Neo
Confucian sense involves a higher communal goal beyond expressing oneself and protect one s
interests. By explaining the eastern notion of the free speech, I hope the different idea would
provide some insights for understanding of the whole concept of freedom of speech better.
Neo Confucian self cultivation First, we need to understand some basic ideas that the Neo
Confucian thinkers hold about self cultivation and why self cultivation is important. These thinkers
believe that there is a universal moral principle (li), which

The Federalist Paper By James Madison
The Federalist Papers were 85 essays that were published in 1787 and 1788. They were
anonymous and always signed by Publius. Publius was actually 3 men, Alexander Hamilton, James
Madison and John Jay. They wrote the papers to convince the people of New York to vote to ratify
the Constitution. These essays were published in newspapers throughout the state of New York.
Federalist 10 was written by James Madisonand was titled The Utility of the Union as a Safeguard
Against Domestic Faction and Insurrection (continued). This essay was a continuation of Federalist
9. Federalists like James Madison and Alexander Hamiltonthought that if the states continued to
maintain complete control, each state would become its own nation, which would leave the U.S.
bankrupt. They believe that a strong central governmentwould have the ability to stop this from
occurring. Factions were James Madison s worst fear. Madison believed that factions were what
were going to keep states divided and more likely to turn to individual nations. James Madison s
opinions are correct. As defined by Madison, a faction is a group of people, whether a majority or
minority, who come together by some common impulse of passion, or of interest adverse to the
rights of other citizens, or to the permanent and aggregate interests of the community. Not all
political groups are factions, though most are. While they are rare, there are political groups out

The Kenyon Commencement Speech By David Foster Wallace
I believe that existence is comprised of hundreds and millions of different realities intermingling
and colliding into one another. I also believe that at the center of each reality there lies the
individual who crafted it. Our perception of what is real and false exists solely in our own minds,
and our minds are what determines the lense in which we perceive the world. Our perception is
largely influenced by our psyche; how we live and think stems from our perception of the world.
Our brains are directly influenced by a number of key factors, including but not limited to; societal
connotations, individual experience, instinctual desires, environmental factors, and cognitive
thought. These factors, as well as other conditions, are what determine our default setting. In his
noteable This is Water speech, given at the 2005 Kenyon Commencement Address, David Foster
Wallaceargues a similar idea as he explains his take on the phrase teaching you how to think .
Through his use of relatable parables and anecdotes and repetition and reverent focus of words
like choice and awareness he paints a livid picture of the use of conscious choice in our daily
lives. He stresses the concept of a self centered default setting that comes from an individual s
blind certainty and the repercussions that deferring to that default can have on an individual s
lifestyle and fulfilment. If we are unable to recognise the water in which we dwell we will always

A History Of The Gilpin Family
A history of the Gilpin Family in America From 1685 to 1810 (Change title) The Gilpin family,
have been an integral part of American History since their arrival in 1695. The family, who
arrived, as part of an initial large wave of Quakers in America, carved out a place in American,
more specifically Quaker History. Coming to America, at the invitation of William Penn, and deeply
embroiled in significant events in American History, the Gilpin s were early founders of
Pennsylvania. Their Quaker background proved to be of primary importance in precisely how the
family participated in important events, like the American Revolution. From their peaceful
relations with Indians to their involvement in the American Revolution, their pacifist belief
system influenced their action. However, not all members of the Gilpin family remained
pacifists. While one member Thomas Gilpin held fast to his Quaker beliefs during the American
Revolution, another, Colonel George Gilpin, Became a close confidant of George Washington
eventually serving as Pallbearer at Washington s funeral. . The Quakers were different from
many of the settlers of other early American colonies. The Quakers, also known as the Society of
Friends, were built upon ideals of pacifism and benevolence. They did not come here as traders or
merchants. The Quakers came here for religious freedom, as did many others. However, Quakers,

Essay On Tracey Moffatt And Shirin Neshat
This quote by Aristotle is shown to be true as art is known as a language in images, and is a way
artist can communicate ideas and express conceptions, about self, culture, community and mostly
social definition. This is true as it shows that the internal mannerism and detail in art, is their reality
and shows what is most important and significance in the artwork rather than the outward
appearance of the artwork itself. Tracey Moffatt and Shirin Neshat are two artists who link back to

The Federal Bureau Of Prisons
Healthcare is a big topic no matter how you view it, but when looking at it from the point of a
person who is in prison, it takes on a whole new view. Those who are in prison have federal and
state laws that say that the prisons must provide them with medical facilities for their healthcare
needs. This paper will identify a governmental agency that regulates the healthcare that is provided
to prisoners in an institution within the United States, along with the foundation of such an agency
and who regulates the licenses, accreditation, certifications, and authorization for employment for
those who work within one of these facilities.
The Federal Bureau of Prisons
The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) is an agency that was created on May 14, 1930 and
approved of by then president Herbert Hoover. Its main headquarters is in Washington, D.C. The
BOP is a subdivision of the United States Justice Department and is responsible for the
administration of the federal prison system. Its sole purpose is to provide more open minded and
compassionate care to those who are federal inmates within the United States prison system. This
agency is also responsible for providing medically needed health care to inmates in agreement with
federal and state laws. One of the most negative aspects that the BOP is responsible for is carrying
out all judicially mandated federal executions, including the lethal injection of inmates who have
been sentenced to death for a crime they have

This article examines the challenges faced with the application of mobile business Intelligence
within an organisation. Over the years, the demand of data management and usage has
increased within an organisation. As a result of the increase in data creation as well as
availability, most organisation has sought out various medium to make their data mobile in
which they are available for use at any time, thus sustaining competitive advantage by integrating
all data channels to offer a broader analytical perspective on a business for competitors.
Furthermore, the author stated some of the reasons of the use of Mobile Business Intelligence,
which includes the possibilities for real time decision support, it s accessible as mobile phones
are part of our day to day life, etc. However, with the range of large data to process and use
simultaneously, this may likely generate into problems such as security risk, difference in GUI of
a phone and a Computer, Low storage space in most mobile devices. In particular, there a few
limitation faced when running BI application on a mobile interface such as, the limited amount of
sent data, poor resolution of a mobile device, low memory.
Despite of all the positive and negative arguments concerning the Mobile Business Intelligence field
the author explained that the reality is somehow different because there are still barriers to

The Importance of the Thirteenth, Fourteenth, and...
The Thirteenth, Fourteenth, and Fifteenth Amendments of The United States Constitution were
important for implementing a total reconstruction of America and the blessings of of liberty to
everyone that lived within the borders or our country. These ideas of equality would be reached out
to the entire population including but not limited to slaves and their descendants and all American
Citizens. These Amendments were especially important to African Americans and minorities who
were the main victims of slavery and inequality during the time periods in which these Amendments
were ratified. These amendments changed the way America operated as a country from politics to

This change to society was the fore father for the push for equality for not only African Americans
but for all races of people. The evolution of the Thirteenth has not changed much since its
ratification. The Amendment itself is self holding. The use of the Thirteenth Amendment has been
used in not only cases for African American slaves of the past but most recently binded to the
aspects of human trafficking and involuntary prostitution. The evoulution of the The Thirteenth
Amendment provides the federal government with the power to enact legislation that criminalizes
certain private acts of discrimination. Congress may pass necessary and proper laws that can
reasonably be expected to end subordinating infringements against individual rights. In significant
circumstances, the Thirteenth Amendment covers anti social behavior that is beyond the scope of
the Fourteenth Amendment and Commerce Clause, even though these two are more commonly
relied on for civil rights enforcement. (Tsesis). The Fourteenth was adopted to the United States

The Repressions Of Women In Le Morte DArthur By Thomas Malory
The impressions of women throughout history influenced the way authors depicted women in their
works. The belief that women are the cause of men s problems dates back to the bible s first
chapter. The chapter lead men to believe the ultimate fall of humanity was at the hands of a woman.
Consequently, this belief has been carried from generations to generations throughout history. The
legend of Morgan Le Fay changes behaviorally from evil and spiteful in Le Morte D Arthur by
Thomas Malory to kind and nourishing in Avalon from Vita Merlin by Geoffrey of Monmouth
because of the different notions of women throughout history. During the Middle Ages women went
from being their father s daughters to their husband s wives to their children s... Show more content

Certain individuals decided to change their beliefs. Some began to see women as nurturing
creatures rather than the bane of all of man s existence. This idea reflects in the poem by
Geoffrey of Monmouth, Avalon from the Vita Merlini . This poem tells the tale of a beautiful
island where nine sisters live. The sisters are generous and kind to all who visit their home. The
poem then shifts focus to Morgan Le Fay, almost bragging that she may cure sick bodies
(Geoffrey of Monmouth). This differs from the Middle Age text greatly. Even the tone of the
poem is light and airy in contrast to the dark and mysterious tone of the earlier story. The poem
goes on to tell a story of Morgan Le Fay saving someone, explaining she saved a man that had
gone into battle with her own honorable hand (Geoffrey of Monmouth). This man was her half
brother Arthur, and whether the characters know of their relation is a mystery to the audience.
In the poem Morgan Le Fay saves her brother; in the story she nearly kills him. It is clear the
narrator of the poem admires Morgan Le Fay, as shown by the use of word honorable to describe
her on many occasions. The depiction of the women in this story reflects how some people felt
toward women in the Modern Ages, and once again turning life into art. Art imitates life in these
two works. The societal beliefs of the Middle Ages were prominently against women having any
power, though there are always some

Across the world, there are many global health issues which are being played out in which society

time, as the world becomes a more globalized entity, many are beginning to realize that while we
may face challenges individual to more local levels, there are just as many challenges that we must
take on together. Climate change, and its effect upon human health, is one of these uniting
challenges. While climatechanges have occurred throughout the course of planet Earth s history, the

For the sake of this paper, there will be two different types of impacts of climate change on human
health: physical impact and mental impact. Now, the majority of the effects of climate change are
indeed physical impacts, for this includes problems such as severe weather events, raising
temperatures, and an increase in numerous disease across the globe. These physical impacts are
what many of the sources in regards to the topic mainly focus on. A few, however, do take time to
mention the importance of mental health in regards to climate change. In often cases, mental
health can be a result of physical impacts, but as the issue of global climate change becomes
progressively more crucial, that is not always the case. Both physical and mental impacts can have
impacts on how society, on all levels, functions, and if we are not careful to take appropriate action,
society may begin to crumble, at least only slightly. It is now coming to light that both the physical
and mental impacts are important to be addressed when discussing climate change action.
What remains important, is that even though climate change is, or may, effecting the health of us
all in some way, and it is a global issue, that each region of the world in impacted differently. This

Code Talker Character Analysis
Have you ever thought having a secret language or code was cool? Growing up did you ever
create words that only you and your friends knew? During WWII the Navajo people used their
language to create a secret unbreakable code. The book Code Talker, written by Joseph Bruchac
looks at the life of Ned and how Ned and his friends survived war and boarding school. Ned faced
a number of traumatising experiences such as boarding school and World War, which can both
cause PTSD and insanity, for a kid to go to war at 17 right after being taught he was inferior to
whites is unimaginable. Ned survived the horrors of boarding school and war because of key
friendships specifically his friendships with Hosteen Mitchell ,Smitty ,and Tommy Nez. The first
of three friends Tommy Nez was with Ned at boarding school. Boarding schools were different
from today. They were in a place where the U.S. Government attempted to kill off an entire way of
life. Boarding schools taught American Indians that they were inferior to whites and were savages.

Change Management Essay
Change Management
Change is not something to be taken lightly. This issue of change is one of the greatest challenges
in the workplace today (Fralix, P., 1998). One of the pitfalls of change within an organization is
employees fear of what change will bring. Will implementing new technologies destroy my job?
Will I be able to keep up with the changes in my organization? These are some of the questions that
bring about employee apprehension to changes in business. This very apprehension can determine
the success or the failure of change within that system. Yet change is inevitable. Much like the
Darwinian theory of survival, the company that can adapt with changes in emerging technologies
will survive in today s society. So how ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Since change is inevitable, ongoing process, these management levers must constantly be altered
also (1997).
Even though this is not an altogether accurate definition from an instructional technology
standpoint, it does contain factors about change management. Most companies are concerned with
aligning themselves with their marketplace. Who hasn t seen a PetSmart or a KayBee s commercial
where the consumer may order his/her toys for either pet or human online. These corporations have
aligned themselves to their marketplace Ebusiness. Another factor in change management is the
tools to accomplish this smooth transition. Most companies will agree that one must look at
strategy, operations of the actual and the optimal systems, culture of the work environment, and
incentives to those who facilitate the smooth changes. Also change is an ongoing process, so
management of that change is also going to be an ongoing process. In order to prepare for change
within the company, it is important to identify any destabilizing forces that bring about change.
Change can be stimulated by three specific forces external and three specific internal forces to the
organization

How Does Meningitis Cause Homeostasis
Meningitis occurs when bacteria or viruses invade the bloodstream and infect the meninges. The
bacteria or viruses multiply rapidly and cause the meninges to inflame and swell. The brain is
subjected to an increase in pressure that can cause symptoms such as a headache and a stiff neck.
In the most severe cases, this can cause injury to the brain. Infection can also spread to the inner ear,
damaging the hair cells in the cochlea or causing inflammation of the auditory nerve, resulting in
sensorineural
(or nerve) deafness.
Some bacteria that cause meningitis can also cause septicaemia. Septicaemia is caused by bacteria
multiplying in the bloodstream. The bacteria release toxins that damage the walls of the blood
vessels, causing them to leak. The immune system is unable to counteract these toxins. ... Show

The heart and lungs have to work harder to supply oxygen and nutrients to the vital organs. This can
lead to multi organ failure.
The toxins released by the bacteria also affect the clotting mechanism, which in turn affects the
blood supply to the vital organs, causing tissue damage. The rash associated with septicaemia is
caused by blood leaking into tissues under the skin.
Meningococci are spread through coughing, sneezing and intimate kissing approximately 10% of
the general population carry meningococcal bacteria harmlessly in the back of their throats at any
one time. This natural carriage is, therefore, relatively common and helps develop immunity.
Only a minority of carried meningococci are harmful. Infection is caused when the bacteria, for
reasons that are not currently understood, move from the back of the throat into the bloodstream
and multiply rapidly. Once in the bloodstream, these bacteria can cause septicaemia and, in many
cases, infect the meninges and cause

Advantages Of Appeasement
What would have happened if Hitler was stopped before WWII? What if the Allied forces
stopped Germany before it climaxed? Historians wonder if Adolf Hitler could have been
controlled better in a more effective way or if appeasement was the right choice. However,
evidence shows that another method called collective security may have been the better option.
Collective security was when nations joined together to create a stronger force against an enemy
country, and rely on each other for aid if necessary. It is believed that this would have been a
more effective process for stopping Hitler because it uses force in times where he was repeatedly
violating the Treaty of Versailles, his ideas were growing and getting more ambitious, and he was
invading and taking land from other countries.
To start off, the reason collective security may have been the better route is because Hitler was
constantly ignoring the Treaty of Versailles, whose purpose was to weaken Germany. When other
countries saw Hitler s disobedience, they did nothing to enforce the treaty and let him continue to do

This is why collective security was the more reasonable approach. Germany was too powerful;
the Allies tried to take the easy way out and Secure for Europe a peaceful future (Keenan).
Especially since the German army used blitzkrieg to attack other countries, this made them more
susceptible. Appeasing Hitler would give him exactly what he wanted and only make his ego
bigger, similar to Napoleon. Moreover, Czechoslovakia was ceded just to avoid conflict. Of
course, the people of Czech were unhappy that their country got given away, especially since
Czech defenses were very strong and they were prepared to fight for their land (Keenan).
Therefore, Czechoslovakia was given up for no reason. To add on, the more territory Hitler took,
the more soldiers he could enslave to do

United States Involvement In World War I
The United States should have entered World War I.
The main reason why the United States should have entered World War I is because they needed
to defend their people. According to Source 1, President Woodrow Wilson claimed that the U.S.
should join the war in response to the sinking of the Lusitania ship. In his speech to Congress on
April 2, 1917, he claimed, American ships have been sunk, American lives taken...the lives of
peaceful and innocent people cannot be. He confirmed that the U.S. was being attacked and many
American lives lost. Therefore, fighting for the tranquility of U.S. citizens, by joining the war, was
in the best interest.
The United States land was very valuable and needed to be protected from other countries
attempting to invade. According to Source 2, the Zimmerman Telegraph that was sent by the
Germans to the Mexicans proposed an alliance. In return, Germany offered Mexico financial
support and would help them reconquer the lost territory in New Mexico, Texas, and Arizona. Due
to the fact that the United States s land was at risk of being invaded, it should take caution and

in actuality, this major action must have been a target to the United States. The data shows that the

Coleridge s The Rime Of The Ancyent Marinere
In The Rime of the Ancyent Marinere by Samuel Coleridge, the Marinere attains a change of
mindset about the sea snakes he encounters on his journey. This moment is more than a shift from
the disliking to affinity of an animal; the juncture echoes a larger change within the Marinere. When
one views the incident in conjunction with the concept of seeing from Carlos Castanedas novel, A
Separate Reality, one can discover that the Marinere completes the act of seeing. This triumph
shows that sentimentality is a dominate trait in the Marinere s personality. Something one could
overlook because of his deed of shooting the Albatross. The Marinere s ability to see creates a
shift in perspective regarding the sea snakes, which reflects the larger change of the Marinere s
view, which is that all beings in the world are equal and beautiful.
The Marinere s thoughts of the sea snakes reflect how he regards his situation. The Mariner s
first view of the sea snakes is a contemptful one, which forms because of his overall despair of
being the sole survivor on the ship and the loneliness accompanying that; The Mariner relates that
he is alone and his soul is in agony (IV, 224 227). He further describes his separation from the
other beings present, observing his fellow crewmen now the dead men that lay on the deck as
beautiful (IV, 228 229). The living sea snakes as a million million slimy things, and then describes

The Effects Of High Compliance Rate On Municipal City Of...
Research Design and Methodology
4.1Introduction
The purpose of this study is to find out what are the causes of the high compliance rate in property
taxes in the municipal city of Portmore, Jamaica. Taxes are of essential importance to small
developing countries as they do not have much needed resources. As further developments takes
place in the municipal city property values will increase, hence the amount of property tax collected
by the Portmore municipal council will also increase. This increase however, is not a guarantee that
the tax collection will be sufficient in the maintenance of the community due to the rising cost of
goods and services. Hence continuous voluntary compliance is essential and important as it most
efficient for both the tax payer and the tax authorities.
This section gives the hypothesis or research perspectives, the design of the research and the
methods that were used to gather the data.
4.2 Hypotheses/ Research Perspectives
My research perspective on the Municipal City of Portmore attaining the highest compliance rate
property tax collections in Jamaica are:
That the tax payers have recognised the need and importance of property tax to the community.
The taxpayers are knowledgeable about property tax and the consequences if not paid.
The local authorities are ensuring that the community is well maintained by effectively and
efficiently using the tax collecting in providing services such as timely collection of garbage,

Second David Research Paper
From the beginning the revelation of God was an accumulation of people s/man s expectations
of what and who they wanted God to be. By some, God was expected to work by redirecting the
stream of earthly events, mis lug up as a Messiah a second David who should restore the lost
glories of Israel s golden age. By others the coming of the Messiah was looked for as the
appearance of a supernatural celestial being who should not redirect, but put an end, to history; and
some held that this would be done by the direct action of GodHimself, acting as his own Messiah (
Streitferdt para.1). I agree with the idea that God, who was manifested into a fleshly being, Jesus,
did pre exist before his birth at Bethlehem. In Psalm 110 David says this, The Lord said unto my
Lord, sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool (KJV Bible). Here David

In John 10:30 Jesus thus identifies Himself with God, and confirms His earthly statement I and

man was subject to the same things that we as humans are subject to. There are various
examples in the Bible where Jesus is faced with the same temptations that any human being
would face. The fact that Jesus was able to be, do and feel the same as any human being is proof
of his physical form and emotional genetic make up. The major and most simplistic proof of
Jesus as a human was his death. In the Bible you can also learn of the age of Christ. When Jesus

Art Has Changed The 20th Century
For centuries, art has been a way to express oneself. Some of the most famous artists started off

influential works that transformed the twentieth century, his creation of art forms and Cubismthat
would forever stay after his passing, and his ability to turn anything into art (Pablo Picasso

his early years, he attended school, and later dropped out because the teachers could not help
him solve the technical problems he had. At this point in his life, Picasso had one goal: become
a classical painter. When he dropped out, he was sixteen years old and his ability was nowhere
near the most famous artists of his time in the late 1800s. Using his unique form, he began to

Why It Is Important To Become An Organ Donor
Organ donation: a person with healthy organs and tissues allows for them to be transplanted to
those in need, usually after death. Being an organ donor can be as simple as filling out an
information card on the back of your driver s license. It is easy to do and is a very selfless and
caring thing to commit to. Organdonation is a simple, yet amazing act.
Every day, people in need of vital organs die due to lung failure, heart failure, liver failure, kidney
failure, and other illnesses. In fact, over 120,000 people in the United States are in need of vital
organ transplants. Every day twenty two people on that list die. Every ten minutes, another person
is added to the list. Each year there are more than one million people waiting for life improving
tissues and eyes.

actually become organ donors suffer fatal head injuries, either from something like a car accident

done to save him or her, organ donation is finally brought into the picture. After death has occurred
an examination of the potential donor s physical and historical status is conducted. In this
examination, a physician examines the current physical state of the potential donor. For example, if
the individual s cause of death damaged certain organs, then those organs would be ruled out. The
medical history of the potential donor is also examined. For example, the individual being a smoker
would determine them ineligible. If everything checks out the potential recipients are examined to
determine if the operation can be

Garvey s dream of a return to Africa became the Rastafarian dream as well, and some
Rastafarians have indeed settled in Ethiopia, Ghana, and Zaire. One of the early impacts who
paved the way for the rise of this cult was Marcus Garvey. Garvey lived in New York City, and
believed that the black man would never receive fair treatment in a white man s world. He then

that a black king would be crowned in Africa. He also stated through that monarch freedom for
dark skin people would be realized eventually. Garvey himself never joined the succeeding

Depreciation
Rupee Depreciation: Probable Causes and Outlook
The Indian Rupee has depreciated significantly against the US Dollar marking a new risk for
Indian economy. Till the beginning of the financial year (Apr 11 Mar 12) very few had expected
Rupee to depreciate with most hinting towards either appreciation or status quo in the rupee
levels. Those few who had even anticipated may not have imagined the scale of depreciation with
rupee touching a new low of around Rs 54 to the US Dollar. What is even more interesting to note
is that when other countries are trying to play currency wars and trying to keep their currencies
devalued, India is trying to prevent depreciation of the currency. (Read our previous report for a
review of the situation ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Fiscal Deficit: Fiscal deficits play a role especially during currency crisis. If a country follows a
fixed exchange rates and also runs a large fiscal deficit it could lead to speculative attacks on the
currency. Higher deficits imply government might resort to using forex reserves to finance its
deficit. This leads to lowering of the reserves and in case there is a speculation on the currency,
the government may not have adequate reserves to protect the fixed value of the currency. This
pushes the government to devalue the currency. So, though fiscal deficits do not have a direct
bearing on foreign exchange markets, they play a role in case there is a crisis. Global economic
conditions: Barring domestic conditions, global conditions impact the currency movement as well.
In times of high uncertainty as seen lately, most currencies usually depreciate against US Dollar as
it is seen as a safe haven currency. Hence even over a longer term, multiple factors determine an
exchange rate with each one playing an important role over time.
II. Rupee Movement since 1991
If we look at India s Balance of Payments since 1970 71, we see that external account mostly
balances in 1970s. Infact in second half of 1970s there is a current account surplus. This was a
period of import substitution strategy and India followed a closed economy model.

Platypuses Research Paper
The platypuses body parts are all very special and have many interesting roles to play. Their tail
is not only used for guiding them while they swim, but it is also used for another interesting
part. Their tail is used to store up fats for hard times when there is no food, this time usually
occurs when they are nesting. Platypuses of both genders store up fats in their tails. Their claws
are also very helpful in their everyday lives. They are able to pull back and retract the webbing
on their feet! They do this to denude their claws so that they could rush and run on land, and so
they could mine into the ground. This is beneficial to the platypus because they excavate dirt near
any flowing source of water. Although they do sleep in burrows, they are also reported to be seen
sleeping in hollow logs and under branches (Becker).... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is harnessed with senses and is required for the platypus to survive. The platypuses bill eats
solely underwater and only underwater. They find their food by rummaging for food under
water using their bill to attack their prey. They are bottom eaters, which means that their diet
consists of insects and insect larvae, worms, and shellfish. They seize their prey by shoveling
the mud and gravel with their bill. When their food arrives in their mouth, they cache it in cheek
pouches until they reach the surface of the lake or river they are located at (Becker). The
platypus lack teeth, so the gravel they shoveled up helps them chew their food (Smith). It can
take twelve hours for the platypus to look for food. However, they can stay submerged
underwater for only thirty to one hundred forty seconds (Bradford). While they look for food, they
close their eyes due to the mud they dive down into. They use their strong sense of smell and
electro receptors to find their prey

A Comparison Of Superman And Wonder Woman
I am enjoying this discussion about Wonder Woman, even though I am not a huge fan of DC
Comics or superhero films. However, I love Superman and Wonder Woman films and television
series from the 80 s. Remember the Superman movies starring Christopher Reeves and the
Wonder Woman television series from the 80s (I grew up in the 80s)? Since we are speaking
about films based on classic childhood favorites, I have another example to add: Goonies. A
group of five boys (the Goonies) live in a town scheduled for demolition but this clique refuses to
give up without a fight. When these Goonies discover One eyed Willie s hidden treasure map they
depart from their normal life to hunt his treasure in hopes of being able to save their parent s
homes. Now,

What Can Be Done About The Flies Analysis
What Can Be Done About Flies? Introduction That is a pretty heady question and one that 1000 s
of people who have to put up with flies, agonize about every year at fly season. And fly season is
not the fly fishing kind, but the kind that are into everything, and they are everywhere. Flies are
dirty, they are a nuisance, and we know, when there are flies around, there is usually something
rotten that is attracting them. It could be a dead animal, uncovered garbage, or rotting plant
material; the end result is the same, it is not good and neither are the flies. Flies as Germ Carriers

Red Mangroves
Mangroves are trees and shrubs that grow in saline coastal habitats in the tropics and subtropics
mainly between latitudes 25В° N and 25В° S. The saline conditions tolerated by various species
range from brackish water, through pure seawater (30 to 40 ppt), to water of over twice the
salinity of ocean seawater, where the salt has become concentrated by evaporation (up to 90
ppt).[1][2]
The many species of trees and shrubs adapted to saline conditions are not all closely related, and
the term mangrove may be used for all of them, or more narrowly only for the mangrove family of
plants, the Rhizophoraceae, or even more specifically just for mangrove trees of the genus
Rhizophora.

Shrimps and mud lobsters use the muddy bottom as their home.[10] Mangrove crabs mulch the
mangrove leaves, adding nutritients to the mangal muds for other bottom feeders.[11] In at least
some cases, export of carbon fixed in mangroves is important in coastal food webs.
Mangrove plantations in Vietnam, Thailand, the Philippines and India host several commercially
important species of fish and crustaceans. Despite restoration efforts, developers and others have
removed over half of the world s mangroves in recent times.

Of the recognized 110 mangrove species, only about 54 species in 20 genera from 16 families
constitute the true mangroves , species that occur almost exclusively in mangrove habitats.[3]
Demonstrating convergent evolution, many of these species found similar solutions to the tropical
conditions of variable salinity, tidal range (inundation), anaerobic soils and intense sunlight. Plant
biodiversity is generally low in a given mangal.[1] This is especially true in higher latitudes and in
the Americas. The greatest biodiversity occurs in the mangal of New Guinea, Indonesia and
Malaysia.[12]

The Godfather Comparison
The past few years have been rough for Johnny Depp. In the beginning people absolutely adored
Depp s off the wall, zany performances in films like Edward Scissorhands and Pirates of the
Caribbean , but as time passed audiences grew increasingly weary of a goofy Depp performance.
Films like Dark Shadows , Charlie and the Chocolate Factory , Alice in Wonderland , The Lone
Ranger , and most recently Mortdecai were met with disappointed and backlash. With the dread of
his films snowballing Depp seems to want to return to true performances, and that s precisely what
he does in Black Mass .
That is without a doubt going to be the big takeaway from this film, Johnny Depp s hauntingly
diabolical performance as James Whitey Bulger. Although, this isn t as far a departure as some
might believe, he s still got lots of prosthetics on his face and they cause him to be virtually ... Show

Obviously, people are going to compare this film to either The Godfather or a Martin Scorsese
film, both comparisons are out of place here. Not once does this film feel grand or sleek enough
to be a Scorsese film, and The Godfather is simply an unfair comparison. Does this film measure
up to the greatest gangster film of all time? Of course not, but it does manage to bring a new and
refreshing vitality to the genre, and that s ultimately all that matter.
Director Scott Cooper instantly engulfs the audience in an atmosphere that oozes tension and
suspense. I felt that at any moment someone could snap and kill someone, it s that on the edge
feeling is what a good gangster film should do. You re supposed to feel that way because that s
probably how it really feels in that environment, you never know when you re going to get

Life and Work of Sam Shepard
Student Name Professor Name Class/Section 11 December 2012 Sam Shepard A Review
Summary Sam Shepard has undoubtedly established himself as one of the greatest living
American playwrights of this time, if not for the duration of American history. His upbringing
and experiences, both before and since his stardom erupted, have shaped his work and how he is
perceived and there is a litany of examples of this that can be easily culled and analyzed. This
report has several sections. The first section looks at what has shaped Mr. Shepard and what he
has become as it pertains to theater and the American lexicon. Second, Mr. Shepard s work
known as Buried Child will be compared to another one of Mr. Shepard s works. Third, a look at
the script of Buried Child will be under taken. Fourth, the production of Buried Child will be
assessed. The report will conclude with a character analysis of a character from Buried Child
and this will include some visual research of the same character assessed on the rest of this
section. Life of Sam Shepard In looking at what Mr. Shepard experienced growing up, it is not
hard to ascertain why he has such a unique and atypical perspective of life and America in
general. A son in a military family, he (like most military brats ) moved around a lot. However,
the common moves from place to place were fused with an alcoholic father that no doubt
intimidated him and made him anxious as a child. The juxtaposition of his dad s career as a military

NONVERBAL COMMUNICATION
Nonverbal Communication Techniques for Acing Interviews
Personal Hygiene
Shower, brush your teeth, comb/style your hair, use deodorant, and avoid using excess cologne or
perfume.
You want to be properly groomed in order to make a positive first impression and show the
interviewer you re serious about the job. Many people are sensitive or allergic to specific or strong
scents, and not using excessive amounts of cologne or perfume demonstrates that you are aware of
this.
Dress Professionally
Research the company s dress code so you can dress appropriately. If you can t find anything about
a dress code (or if the company doesn t have one), use your best judgement to determine what might
be appropriate attire for the company.
How you dress says a lot about how serious you are about an interview. It s important to dress for
the job you want; if your goal is to work in an office or business environment, wearing street
clothes will not help you achieve that goal.
It s important to remember that professional attire for an interview at a retail chain like Walmart or
Canadian Tire would look different from one at a bank or insurance company.
Handshaking Etiquette
Prior to the interview, keep your hands open in order to prevent them becoming overly sweaty.
Keep a tissue in your pocket to discreetly dry your hands if necessary. Sweaty hands could indicate
to the interviewer that you are nervous.
Offer a greeting before and during the handshake. The

Decisions, Decisions In Jean Paul Sartre s play No Exit, three different characters, Joseph Garcin,
Inez Serrano and Estelle Rigault are portrayed together in hell. Although in hell for different
reasons, the common thread that binds them is the fact that they all chose to make undeniably
terrible decisions in their past lives. These characters unequivocally believed that the decisions they

punishments that they received, hell, was inappropriate and not where they were supposed to be
and at the very least, if in fact in hell, then they should be tormented in a proper manner, torture

Model Driven Improvement ( Mdd )
Introduction:
Model driven improvement (MDD) is a software designing approach that uses model to make
software. Model driven advancement is now and then utilized reciprocally with model driven
engineering, and may allude to particular tools and resources, or a model driven methodology. A
model is a simplified representation used to explain the workings of a real world system or event.
a)
Software development is the process of developing software through successive phases in an
orderly way. This process includes not only the actual writing of code but also the preparation of
requirements and objectives, the design of what is to be coded, and confirmation that what is
developed has met objectives. It is the process of developing a product which under going different
phases of development life cycle like documenting, testing and bug fixing through which the
product outcome may be expected to be successful according to the requirements of the user.

Quantitative Ultrasound (BMD)
BMD measurement
All participants underwent calcaneal quantitative ultrasound (QUS) scanning to measure their
peripheral BMD. Indeed, QUS method offers an alternative way for bone status evaluation when
the limited access to the dual energy X ray absorptiometry (DXA) is an issue and the aim is to
screen for osteoporosis. Besides, QUS is inexpensive and more portable compared to DXA, while
maintaining safety through evading the exposure to the ionizing radiation by DXA (Chin et al.,
2013). Moreover, calcaneal QUS and DXA at various anatomic sites were shown to be correlated
in several studies, and the measured calcaneal BMD by QUS was efficient and analogous to the
measured hip BMD using DXA in hip fracture prediction (Moayyeri et al., 2012; Chin et al.,
2013). To ensure that the QUS device was generating accurate measures, daily calibration of the
device was performed by means of a phantom provided by the manufacturer. The device uses the
ultrasound pulse penetration technique that computes the speed of sound (Baroncelli, 2008).
Subsequently, the T score are instantly derived. The T score, which is used to describe the BMD,

An Absolute Athenian Tragedy Analysis
An absolute Athenian tragedy. The Sicilian Expedition of 413 415 BC was a decision that
ultimately lead to the complete exhaustion of Athenian manpower, navy, and crucial resources. This
decimation weakened the confidence of not only the Athenians, but of their allies as well. Within
the long and tiring story of the Peloponnesian War, it is the Sicilian Expedition in which leadership
stands as a vital factor in the end result. Besides the Athenians, Spartans did their job along side
the Syracusans to excel in this historic battle. The well regarded Spartan leader Gylippus was able
to execute on his part given the poor decision made my Athens to invade Sicily as well as its richest

You see, a huge factor rises in the end of this predicament. The advance of the Roman empire,
along with the fate of the Western World, were essentially saved by the destruction of the
Athenians at the island of Sicily. I firmly claim this because if the expedition were to result
positively for the Athenians, themselves and all of Greece would have landed on a a goldmine in
regards to fertile land which is Sicily. All of Italy and beyond would have been under the heel of
Greece and not of Rome. For the lands such as North Africa, Iberia, and Gaul conquered by the
Romans could potentially have been done by Greeks. The influential defeat at Syracuse ended the
great empire known as Greece and history was shifted for the ages. After that battle, the
Peloponnesian war would go on for another ten years. From that point forward, Greece was
mismanaged and misguided by many men who made attempt to lead. Allies across Greece
separated and the democracy in which this empire stood would crumble and fall victim to an
oligarchy. The Athenian expedition in Sicily exemplified Athens as a tyrant looking to crush the
allied thoughts that dared to stand against it. On a final note the expeditions greatest journalist,
Thucydides, explains the extent of the reckoning. He states, This was the greatest Hellenic action
that took place during this war, and, in my opinion, the greatest action that we know of in Hellenic

The Weakening and Loss of Muscle Caused by Muscular Dystrophy Disease As a whole, muscular
dystrophy is a group of many different diseases causing muscle weakness and muscle loss in
skeletal muscles that control movement of the body (Korschun, 2007). Each distinction of this
genetic disease may affect different muscle groups and even have different symptoms. One thing
these diseases have in common is that the person affected will lose more and more muscle as they
age. Currently, there is no cure for muscular dystrophy but there is treatment that may help alleviate
the pain and slowing the disease down (Muscular Dystrophy, n.d.). Most people are diagnosed at a

Lastly, imaging tests are used to examine the muscles. When muscles are broken down, fatty
deposits replace it. Those who possess a muscular dystrophy disease usually have more fat mass
than those who are healthy (GuzmГЎn, GarcГa, RodrГguez Cruz, 2012). Imaging tests can show
how much muscle has been replaced with fat. The symptoms may seem obvious for muscular
dystrophy. When muscles degenerate, they cannot be used at the fullest potential. The earliest
symptom may be delayed walking in children (Bushby et al., 2009). A reduction in size and
strength of muscle is another sign that muscles could be degenerating. The variations of muscular
dystrophy disease target different and several muscles. Having trouble using a group of muscles
may be a sign of muscular dystrophy disease. Some may have trouble standing up, and some
people may fall frequently also (How is muscular, n.d.). If the patient has weak respiratory
muscles, they may have trouble breathing due to a lack of airflow (Makker, H., M., P, 2012).
Unfortunately, there is currently no cure for muscular dystrophy. However, there are treatments that
may delay the progression of the disease, alleviating the pain, and controlling the symptoms.
Corticosteroids are the only medication to help slow down this disease so far (De Los

Disney On Broadway Research Paper
Disney has taken the world by storm from movies to games to television and now even theatre.
Disney is no stranger to the silver screen or to your home television screens, but it has now made
its mark on Broadway stages around the globe. Since the early 1990 s, dozens of Disney films
have been adapted into Broadway classics. When one show stops, another one begins. Storming
into its 24th year, Disney on Broadway is one of the most successful theatre enterprises in the
world reaching millions of audience members in more than 40 countries (Tallarico). Before
Disney revamped the theatrical world, 42nd Street and the surrounding Times Square area was in
total disarray. The 1980 s Time Square was a place for drug dealers, hustlers, and prostitutes to
seek haven in. It was not until Mayor Rudy Giuliani invited major family friendly companies such
as Disney to come in and revitalize the town that 42nd Street became a safer place. Disney changed

The audience comes for a familiar story transformed onstage with cutting edge technology to
thrill the audience and advance industry standards (Pressley). One of the biggest advantages of
Disney on Broadway is a guaranteed audience that is familiar with the storyline and music, as
well as a large company that is able to handle any negative reviews (Kearney). One reason for the
increase in ticket sales for Disney in the past twenty years is due to the safer environment after the
redesign of 42nd Street (Horn). Because of this, more children and senior citizens come to enjoy
the shows. Tourists make up the biggest percentage of those who purchase Broadway tickets.
Therefore, commercial theatre relies heavily on recognizable names to coax audience members
into the theatres (How Disney). Disney is one of the top grossing companies in the world, making
it incredibly easy to transform one of their classic movies into a theatrical

Finally Rogue Access Points are the access points which are set up by a department or an individual for some reasons. These Rogue access points are unsecured, so the drive by hacker can have an entry points to the network. This is really dangerous because only one Rogue access point can make the network in threat of hacker although you protect all of your official access point very well. Although there are many threat of WLAN, you still can reduce those threats by applying some technology in your network. For example, you can use a Core Security Standard. It provides protection, which are confidentiality, authentication and message integrity, between the wireless access point and the wireless host. Furthermore, you also can use Wired equivalent privacy (WEP) security. In WEP, everyone shares the same access point, which requires the same key, and WEP s key is not automated mechanism for changing. On the other hand, Wireless Protected Access (WPA) is also an option for you. WPA is developed by using the concept of Core security standard, so it could be used on older wireless access points and it is stronger than WEP. Finally, 802.11i is another solution for your concerns about the network security. 802.11i is considered as WAP2, and it uses extremely strong AES CCMP encryption, which has 129 bits keys and a key management method for automatically changing keys. • 3. Technology in Classrooms Essay To help improve academics at Jackson High School, the district should provide more technology in the classrooms. We should get iPads in every classroom that we have. We should also be able to use our cell phones. Technology has increased over the years and our school district should be up to date on its tools. There are several reasons for why we should get these devices in our classrooms. One of the materials that we should get at our school is iPad s. It would help us become more organized with all of our subjects. A freshman at a high schoolin Michigan said, It s helped us become more organized. We re not losing papers. It s all in our iPad. A media specialist named John Schumacher from Oak Brook, Illinois says that there are advantages of using cell phones in the classroom these days. He said he has his students look up QR codes and barcodes that are readable on phones (Staff). Students and teachers should be able to use social networking sites. For example, they could be rewarded and get on it in their free time or they could use it for school purposes. Our school should be able to trust us enough to be mature about what websites we get on. In high school we should already know right from wrong. Although, there should be a discipline plan for students who do break the rules. Learning how to use these tools appropriately is growing up and it being a part of life (Davis). Therefore, if a student breaks a rule using one of the devices he or she should be the only one that gets punished. Every student in the high school should not be punished just because one person did something that was not appropriate. However, all students including teachers should have to fill out an AUP form. If someone breaks any of the rules they all they have to do is see where they agreed not to and take away their privileges. The last reason why we should have iPads and cell phone devices in our classrooms is because the 21st century is all about technology. • 4. The Memelon Nature Morte, essentially still life, refers to the portrayal of inanimate objects within images. One Artist, recognized for his iconic impressionistic still life work, is Edouard Manet (1832 1883). Manet is revered for being a key instigator in the transition from realism to impressionism; his still life impressionism works were amongst those considered the genesis of the impressionist movement in the late 19th Century. Manet was raised in Paris, to affluent family. Upon failure to make it into the Navy, Manet began to find his love for art and painting. Manet s work The Melon (c.1880), a still lifepainting of a single watermelon, encapsulates this historical movement of still life paintings. Manet s titular work The Melon s solitary subject matter is a watermelon. The composition of this painting is simple, a trait of Manet s which developed along side his journey into impressionism. Despite being a journey that was heavily criticized, it is the style and nuance of Manet s melon, which sets it apart from traditional still life images. The melon is isolated. It s placed on an innocuous beige support, against a solid black background. However it is through the use of this space around the Melon that Manet is able to utilize the light, which floods the left side of the melon, to create a very soft, fragile, beautiful painting. ... Norse religion and mythology began to take place in the Bronze Age (A.D. 780 1070) and are the collected stories of the ancient religion of the people from Scandinavia (Daly x). Daly states that Norse mythology did not start in the Scandinavian area of Europe. Between Niflheim and Muspelheim there was a gaping pit called Ginnungagap. As embers and ice whirled around the dark, dismal pit they began to whirl faster and faster until fire created a spark of life within the ice. The frost giant, Ymir, a jotun, and an ice cow emerged from the pit. Ymir fell into a deep sleep. While he slept a male and female jotun formed from the warmth of his left armpit and a six headed troll grew from his feet. The ice cow also brought life to this world. As she licked and licked the saltiness of Ginnungagap a head of hair and then a whole body appeared from under her tongue. Next, a handsome man and his son appeared. The son, Borr, married a jotun maiden, Bestla. Together they had three sons who were so fair that they lit up the darkness around them. These three sons Odin, Hoenir and Lodur were the first of the Aesir gods. They had the power to create a world. To do this the brothers had to kill Ymir first. Successfully, the brothers killed Ymir and pushed his body into Ginnungagap. Brine flowed from his wounds and flooded over the rim, creating the sea and killing his offspring and the cow. • 7. Edward Macdowell s Of A Wild Rose From Woodland Sketches Edward MacDowell s To a Wild Rose from Woodland Sketches (1896) American born, but European trained, Edward MacDowell is known as one of America s prominent composers during the Gilded Age. With the rise of musical nationalism in America, MacDowell composed Woodland Sketches in 1896, which comprised of ten piano pieces whose titles refer to the American landscape and his personal experiences. The most well known piece of the ten is To a Wild Rose. To a Wild Rose highlights MacDowell s skills as a composer to harvest deep emotions and impressions from the listener from a simple motive; however, it was also an attempt for MacDowell to claim an identity as an American composer. In April 1876, MacDowell s mother took him to Paris to attend the Conservatoire, where he studied piano with Antoine F. Marmontel (Pesce). Dissatisfied, MacDowell went on to Germany in 1878, which helped further his career (Pesce). The beginning of MacDowell s success as a composer came with the publication of his Erste Modern Suite by German firms (Pesce). Edward MacDowell then married Marian Nevins, a fellow American, and settled in Germany from 1885 to 1888 where he would devote himself exclusively to composition (Pesce). Due to financial difficulties, MacDowell would decide to return to America in the autumn of 1888. Upon returning from Europe, MacDowell would perform a series concerts that led to the rise of his popularity as a musician. It was typical for American composersto return to ... • 9. Difference Between Wooden Motte And Bailey Castles Because of a lack of a strong central government during feudal society, wars happened often. For protection every noble built a castle. The first proper castles were built in England after the Norman Conquest in 1066. Wooden motte and bailey castles were the first type of castle to be built in England. The tower of the keepwas built a huge mound called a motte and had an enclosed courtyard called a bailey. It would have been very difficult to get up the sides of the motte because they were so steep. A ditch dug around the bottom of the motte also added protection. The bailey was located at the bottom of the motte and could be up to three acres. Followers of the lord who ran the castlelived inside the bailey. There were many buildings in the bailey including bakeries, kitchens, houses, stables, and living quarters for soldiers. Motte and bailey castles were quick and easy to build. • 10. Church s Opposition To Capital Punishment In The Roman... Capital punishment: the legally authorized killing of someone as punishment for crime. In the United States, there is a distinct line between matters of Church and State; capital punishment falls under the territory of the State. But, in 1974, the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, the USCCB, made the decision to publically announce the Roman Catholic Churchs opposition to capital punishment after a former president of the USCCB called the issue of capital punishment not only a profound legal and political question but also an important moral and religious issue. But, even this sagacious group of Church officials had a difficult time pin pointing the Church s exact reasoning for their defensive against capital punishment. Throughout the article, the bishops try to make sense of many twisting questions, including: in the eyes of the Church, what circumstances, if any, make capital punishment acceptable? Although the 1980 article was released by the USCCB in attempts to help the people of the Church understand this contradictory issue, it fell short due to the fact that even the accredited statements run in circles. According to Part I, Purposes of Punishment , the Catholic Church is not and will never be completely sure if the state has the right to end the life of a person guilty for a heinous crime. Dr. Schneider s lecture reemphasized the need for students to consider residency programs after graduating from the Doctor of Pharmacy program (PharmD). As a third year pharmacystudent, I have heard so much about how residency could make me an outstanding pharmacist, but never took it seriously. However, hearing it directly from a director of pharmacy that residency will get me the job, promotion and networking opportunities after graduation has rekindled my interest in doing residency. Dr. Schneider spoke about how he succeeded his boss after she left for another job offer because his employers considered him better trained and equipped for the job as a result of doing a residency. For a pharmacist who just started working without any prior residency training, the confidence to serve at a higher level would have been missing. It is certain that residency will give me the experience to be well rounded in my profession and also confer the confidence I need to take on more challenging roles in life. Another way residency can help me as a pharmacist is in the aspect of building a strong networking team. As a resident, I will have the opportunity to work with numerous people from different backgrounds where knowledge transfer can take place. This will help me learn new skills, new ideas, and also gain meaningful experience from other senior colleagues. There would be times I need advice in making a therapeutic decision and knowing someone to call could make a huge difference. • 13. Neo-Confucian Self-Cultivation And Free Speech Neo Confucian self cultivation and free speech Introduction In the western civilizations, especially in the United States, people pay a lot of attention to the freedom of speech and expression. We see americans refer to the freedom of speech in TV series, news media, courts and many other places. Such a freedom has been strongly protected from government restrictions by the First Amendment to the United States Constitution since 1791. And the idea of the free speech has been interiorized into the broader liberal and individualistic western ideology for a long time. Nowadays, with a rising China and the oriental philosophy, the western notion of the free speech may encounter an equivalent cousin for the first time. One of the most influential school of thought is the Neo Confucianism, as it had been the orthodoxy from the 12th Century to the early 20th Century. Different from the western liberal and individualistic one, the free speech in the Neo Confucian sense involves a higher communal goal beyond expressing oneself and protect one s interests. By explaining the eastern notion of the free speech, I hope the different idea would provide some insights for understanding of the whole concept of freedom of speech better. • 17. The Kenyon Commencement Speech By David Foster Wallace I believe that existence is comprised of hundreds and millions of different realities intermingling and colliding into one another. I also believe that at the center of each reality there lies the individual who crafted it. Our perception of what is real and false exists solely in our own minds, and our minds are what determines the lense in which we perceive the world. Our perception is largely influenced by our psyche; how we live and think stems from our perception of the world. Our brains are directly influenced by a number of key factors, including but not limited to; societal connotations, individual experience, instinctual desires, environmental factors, and cognitive thought. These factors, as well as other conditions, are what determine our default setting. In his noteable This is Water speech, given at the 2005 Kenyon Commencement Address, David Foster Wallaceargues a similar idea as he explains his take on the phrase teaching you how to think . Through his use of relatable parables and anecdotes and repetition and reverent focus of words like choice and awareness he paints a livid picture of the use of conscious choice in our daily lives. He stresses the concept of a self centered default setting that comes from an individual s blind certainty and the repercussions that deferring to that default can have on an individual s lifestyle and fulfilment. Certain individuals decided to change their beliefs. Some began to see women as nurturing creatures rather than the bane of all of man s existence. This idea reflects in the poem by Geoffrey of Monmouth, Avalon from the Vita Merlini . This poem tells the tale of a beautiful island where nine sisters live. The sisters are generous and kind to all who visit their home. The poem then shifts focus to Morgan Le Fay, almost bragging that she may cure sick bodies (Geoffrey of Monmouth). This differs from the Middle Age text greatly. Even the tone of the poem is light and airy in contrast to the dark and mysterious tone of the earlier story. The poem goes on to tell a story of Morgan Le Fay saving someone, explaining she saved a man that had gone into battle with her own honorable hand (Geoffrey of Monmouth). This man was her half brother Arthur, and whether the characters know of their relation is a mystery to the audience. In the poem Morgan Le Fay saves her brother; in the story she nearly kills him. It is clear the narrator of the poem admires Morgan Le Fay, as shown by the use of word honorable to describe her on many occasions. The main reason why the United States should have entered World War I is because they needed to defend their people. According to Source 1, President Woodrow Wilson claimed that the U.S. should join the war in response to the sinking of the Lusitania ship. In his speech to Congress on April 2, 1917, he claimed, American ships have been sunk, American lives taken...the lives of peaceful and innocent people cannot be. He confirmed that the U.S. was being attacked and many American lives lost. Therefore, fighting for the tranquility of U.S. citizens, by joining the war, was in the best interest. The United States land was very valuable and needed to be protected from other countries attempting to invade. According to Source 2, the Zimmerman Telegraph that was sent by the Germans to the Mexicans proposed an alliance. Coleridge s The Rime Of The Ancyent Marinere In The Rime of the Ancyent Marinere by Samuel Coleridge, the Marinere attains a change of mindset about the sea snakes he encounters on his journey. This moment is more than a shift from the disliking to affinity of an animal; the juncture echoes a larger change within the Marinere. When one views the incident in conjunction with the concept of seeing from Carlos Castanedas novel, A Separate Reality, one can discover that the Marinere completes the act of seeing. This triumph shows that sentimentality is a dominate trait in the Marinere s personality. Something one could overlook because of his deed of shooting the Albatross. The Marinere s ability to see creates a shift in perspective regarding the sea snakes, which reflects the larger change of the Marinere s view, which is that all beings in the world are equal and beautiful. The Marinere s thoughts of the sea snakes reflect how he regards his situation. The Mariner s first view of the sea snakes is a contemptful one, which forms because of his overall despair of being the sole survivor on the ship and the loneliness accompanying that; The Mariner relates that he is alone and his soul is in agony (IV, 224 227). He further describes his separation from the other beings present, observing his fellow crewmen now the dead men that lay on the deck as beautiful (IV, 228 229). Research Design and Methodology 4.1Introduction The purpose of this study is to find out what are the causes of the high compliance rate in property taxes in the municipal city of Portmore, Jamaica. Taxes are of essential importance to small developing countries as they do not have much needed resources. As further developments takes place in the municipal city property values will increase, hence the amount of property tax collected by the Portmore municipal council will also increase. This increase however, is not a guarantee that the tax collection will be sufficient in the maintenance of the community due to the rising cost of goods and services. Hence continuous voluntary compliance is essential and important as it most efficient for both the tax payer and the tax authorities. This section gives the hypothesis or research perspectives, the design of the research and the methods that were used to gather the data. 4.2 Hypotheses/ Research Perspectives My research perspective on the Municipal City of Portmore attaining the highest compliance rate property tax collections in Jamaica are: That the tax payers have recognised the need and importance of property tax to the community. The taxpayers are knowledgeable about property tax and the consequences if not paid. The local authorities are ensuring that the community is well maintained by effectively and efficiently using the tax collecting in providing services such as timely collection of garbage, maintaining and ... By some, God was expected to work by redirecting the stream of earthly events, mis lug up as a Messiah a second David who should restore the lost glories of Israel s golden age. By others the coming of the Messiah was looked for as the appearance of a supernatural celestial being who should not redirect, but put an end, to history; and some held that this would be done by the direct action of GodHimself, acting as his own Messiah ( Streitferdt para.1). I agree with the idea that God, who was manifested into a fleshly being, Jesus, did pre exist before his birth at Bethlehem. In Psalm 110 David says this, The Lord said unto my Lord, sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool (KJV Bible). Here David had a revelation about the Mesiah. Being an organ donor can be as simple as filling out an information card on the back of your driver s license. It is easy to do and is a very selfless and caring thing to commit to. Organdonation is a simple, yet amazing act. Every day, people in need of vital organs die due to lung failure, heart failure, liver failure, kidney failure, and other illnesses. In fact, over 120,000 people in the United States are in need of vital organ transplants. Every day twenty two people on that list die. Every ten minutes, another person is added to the list. If a country follows a fixed exchange rates and also runs a large fiscal deficit it could lead to speculative attacks on the currency. This leads to lowering of the reserves and in case there is a speculation on the currency, the government may not have adequate reserves to protect the fixed value of the currency.
