Arguments Against Abortion
Introduction Although, currently legalized, abortion continues to be a burdening ethical issue in
America. From 1973 to 2011 approximately 53 million legal abortions were performed in the United
States (Procon.org, 2015, p.1). Pro Choice supporters hail an abortion is a woman s choice and a
protected personal right that should not be limited by governmental or religious authority (Procon.org,
2015, p.1). However, Pro Life supporters contend that a human life begins at the very moment of
conception and thus an abortion is the immoral killing of an innocent human being (Procon.org, 2015,
p.1). Thus, there are various arguments to be considered on both sides.

Pro Life supporters insist that a child is considered a human being at the very moment of conception.
Thus, abortion is murder and is unethical because the right to live was stripped from the child. A child
can be aborted up to 24 weeks of life and in some states later (Procon.org, 2015, p.1). Furthermore, a
fetus does feel pain during the abortion procedure because by eight weeks the most primitive response
to pain, the spinal reflex, is developed (Procon.org, 2015, p.1). Moreover, the psychological affects of
an abortion can be overwhelming such as increased depression and anxiety (Procon.org, 2015, p.1). A
2002 peer reviewed study published by the Southern Medical Journal... found that women who
aborted were 154% more likely to commit suicide than women who carried to term (Procon.org, 2015,
p.1). Pro Life supporters believe women must not be able to use an abortion as a means of
contraception. If one becomes pregnant, one must be responsible for the child they have brought to the
world. Thousands of families desire to adopt children, thus abortion significantly reduces the number
of adoptable babies (Procon.org, 2015, p.1). Lastly, abortion promotes a culture in which human life is
disposable and it is acceptable to rid of a life that inconveniences you (Procon.org, 2015,

Positive Discipline Effects On Children
Parents have been disciplining their children for decades using a wide range of techniques using both
negative and positive forms. Kennedy stated that effective discipline should be merely the process of
teaching a child right from wrong (Kennedy). Effective forms of discipline are viewed very differently
by different people. Parents have a choice when disciplining their child, they can either use positive
forms or negative forms of discipline. Grusec et al., stated that children need clear and consistent
rules, support, and acceptance rather than rejection , in order to grow up to value and respect authority
(465 471). So, if children benefit from positive discipline, what happens when a child is exposed to
negative discipline throughout their life. Negative discipline can be seen in a wide range of ways, such
as, physical punishment, punitive discipline, inconsistency, and lack of affection. I believe that
negative discipline that is used with children, leaves lasting negative physical, mental, and emotional
effects. Theorist over the years have tried to tell everyone what types of discipline are correct and
good. Grusec et al., described how some theorists believe that children experience feelings of hostility
towards their parents when exposed to harsh or negative discipline (465 471). The relationship
between parents and their children are discussed in the article The Effects of Positive and Negative

Reflection Paper About The Caribbean
I m sure you re probably wondering why I m sending you this but, be patient as you read one of the
longest emails you ve probably ever received. I wanted to share with you how much I have learned
about the Caribbean which is essential to how I now not only view the countries but the people. I ve
come to realize how ignorant I was in regards to knowing exactly what the Caribbean is. Strangely
enough, our entire family is from the Caribbean. I m from the Caribbean. But, I know so little. The
first day of classes back in September, I was asked by the professor to describe what the Caribbean
mean to me. As we went around the room, my turn came and I said to the class when I think of the
Caribbean I think of tropical islands. And, the first ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It s really shocking to actually realize how Caribbean people are essentially owned and controlled by
people who are not even Caribbean who don t know what being Caribbean means or have no idea of
the culture behind every island. But, who exactly owns the Caribbean? This is where a lot of the
tension came into play. There s really all these different groups of people who settled and created a
culture but then there s the colonizers who came and claimed it as their own. Who got there first? No
one knows because the colonizers will always have the upper hand and more power to silence the
people of color. This beautiful island turned into a place where one must fight to define a space to be
legitimate. It has became clear that how one chooses to identify themselves affect their sense of
belonging and legitimacy. Ones sex/ gender affects their hierarchy which changes their entire class
because they represent the idea of otherness . Living in the Caribbean sometimes meant changing your
identity and leaving your own behind to adapt to a new culture to be accepted and to have a better life.
The order in which I read a couple of the text for this class has allowed me to better understand why
the characters in the novel do what they do. It has allowed me to put pieces together and get an
understanding of the shattering histories behind Trinidad and Jamaica. One of the first pieces of
literature I read for this class was Stuart Hall s article

Outline The Role Of The Infantry In The Future
Introduction
1. With the ever changing battle space, the introduction of Adaptive Campaigning and the
reorganisation of the Army under Plan Beersheba, it is worth reflecting upon the role of the infantry
and its relevance to modern and future warfighting, with the increased emphasis on the future of
combined arms operations.
2. This essay aims to outline the role of the infantry in the future of combined arms operations and the
training implications this creates. It may be seen that the role of the infantry as stated is as relevant as
ever; however, with the increase in fighting in complex human, physical and informational terrain it
may be pertinent to revise the challenges as they relate to the training and preparation of the infantry.

24. The role of the infantry in the future of combined arms operations is largely dictated by the unique
characteristics and capabilities it provides. These characteristics and capabilities that have been
distilled and captured within the role of the infantry are as relevant as ever. These characteristics
enable it to mitigate many of the weaknesses of a combined arms teams and capitalise on its strengths.
While other arms can achieve many of the same outcomes and effects that the infantry can (and
cannot), the infantry s true value is its ability to achieve these in a unique manner. Inherent to this is its
ability to operate effectively in all seasons, weather or terrain, and in particular, at the point of

Violence And The Problem Of Sexual And Domestic Violence
Domestic Violence is an issue that keeps increasing. The abusers usually have issues such as, drinking,
major aggression problems, and some may even have a mental illness. In domestic violence there are
many different types of abuse that a person can go through. Domestic Violence is the most common
but there is also Sexual and Mental Violence. There are many problems that lead up to domestic
violence but also there´s many solutions.
A major problem of domestic violence is the abuser is gaining control over someone and their life.
¨Domestic violence and abuse are used for one purpose and one purpose only: to gain and maintain
total control over you. An abuser doesn t play fair. (domestic violence)¨. The abuser (man or woman)
uses fear, shame, guilt, and will use the people you love against someone. The abuser also threatens
them and hurts them and people around them that they could run to for help. The abuser uses their fear
of them, makes them feel like they re worthless, makes all the money and isolates them from family
and friends unless they are there to keep them from telling family or friends about what s going on or
leaving them.
Many abusers have a drinking problem, and this is also another big leading cause to abuse. Research
shows that drinking and alcohol abuse lead to physical aggression. People who tend to already have a
problem with anger and drink get so much worse and get out of control. ¨Alcohol use has been
reported in between 25 percent and 85 percent

Movie Rental Services
Which movie rental service was best? Everyone loves movies, and the best way to see every film is of
renting. There was an age where people used brick and mortar stores to see the latest available movies.
Currently, there are more choices open for film lovers of all ages. The World Wide Web has improved
things drastically, and many physical rental stores have faded out of existence. Ultimately, this brings
about where Netflix , Red Box, and Blockbuster comes into place considering the progression of film
service.
Blockbuster is a great example of a brick and mortar store, which opened in Dallas in the year 1985.
Blockbuster has been providing the service of renting physical media off of its shelves for quite some
time. At its peak Blockbuster was massive, but because the company constantly changes its price
structures and late fee agreements, it has made renting films a costly and frustrating outlook.
Red Box, on the other hand, has machines in many locations nationwide, allowing one to rent movies
for only a dollar a night. Most of these machines are usually located in Wal Mart, McDonalds, 7 11 s,
and grocery stores. There are some drawbacks for this company, which include the limited product
selection they have for their customers, and the extensive wait time to use the machines. Red Box
customers are also subjected to the 28 day waiting period on some new released films. The future of
Red Box is looking worthy of note, as video games are being presented in test markets

Analysis of Robert Frost´s Poem Out, Out Essay
Robert Frost s poem Out, Out is about a boy who has his arm sawed off during work and asks his
sister not to let the doctor amputate his arm, he then realizes he s lost too much blood and then dies
while doctors try to save him. After his death everyone else continues on with their work and lives.
Frost uses a lot of end stopped lines, enjambment, repetition and personification among others in his
lines of poetry.
Frost uses a lot of end stopped lines and enjambment in the lines of his poem. Both have an effect on
the way the poem is read by the readers. The lines which use end stops can be found throughout the
beginnings of the poem.

Nature is calm and serene, while this boy s life has changed in a matter of seconds from living to dead
in a tragic event. The end stopped lines and enjambments are used very well in the remainder of the
poem.
Frost s poem is interesting because he uses personification and repetition in describing the saw, the
saw is given life; it snarled and rattled . Frost talks about the saw as though it were a person when as it
ran light, or had to bear a load like the saw can feel the weight of its work. The narrator depicts the
scene as the saw and the boy interacting in a human way. As if to prove saws know what supper
meant, / Leaped out at the boy s hand, or seemed to leap
The boy and the saw connect during the boys excitement over dinner and Frost makes it seem as
though the saw was also excited leading to them both jumping. The saw is personified again as it is
said to have leaped to meet the hand and then cut it off. The following line continues the same way.
Neither refused the meeting. But the hand! The saw is brought to life and it becomes the antagonist in
the poem as it chops off the boy s hand and not once does Frost blame the boy in the accident. After
the hand is chopped off the saw is not mentioned again as the poem continues with the boy.
Frost has a compelling way of writing the poem, in the beginnings of the poem there is a lot of
metaphors and descriptions of the setting and the saw and the boy. Once the boy is injured

The message the author tries to tell us is to save the wolves. The story makes a strong point, because it
shows all the conflicts white fang had to deal with. I think the author was effective in conveying the
theme because he says a lot of problems that happens to wolves, since they can kill someone because
they are in famine until they can be used as fighting machines to make money. I think the author wrote
this story in order to make us understand that life is not easy for these animals and they need
conscious people. The author must have known things like famine, the cycle of life and the situation
with fight of dogs in order to write this story. I could send the same message to readers, but in a
different way by making up a documentary and telling people to be against

The Hunger Games, By Effie Trinket, An Escort For The...
Happy Hunger Games! And may the odds be ever in your favor! is a famous quote said by Effie
Trinket, an escort for the District twelve tributes. Effie said this quote before drawing the names from
the drawing pool at the reaping. This quote was meant to give them hope and faith that they were not
going to be chosen as a tribute in the hunger games. Throughout the novel, there were many roles,
meanings, media, outward appearances, technology, and government significances towards the
Hunger Games. The roles and meanings were extremely important throughout the games, but the main
character to pay close attention to was Katniss. Katniss played the role of a girl who had shown
outstanding characteristics that may have come to a surprise to many. She showed a lot of courage that
gave her some meaning to her character. One way she showed her courage was by hunting illegally as
a way to help her family survive. This was courageous because she knew if she were to be caught she
would have been publicly executed for rebelling against the Capitol. Another example of a courageous
act was the day of the reaping. The day of the reaping when her little sister Prim s name was drawn
out from the drawing pool Katniss almost immediately reacted on her sister s behalf. Her reaction was
to push her sister behind her and yell, I volunteer as tribute! This act proved how courageous, fearless
and protective she could be even though she knew the odds were against her. In the Hunger Games

Argumentative Essay On Liberal Arts Colleges
Recently, the job market has been very competitive especially for students straight out of college,
however students with a liberal arts background have a greater advantage as they are more appealing
to employers. There are hundreds of liberal arts colleges in the United States, however they are often
overlooked due to false perceptions regarding price. Liberal arts schools prepare students for the real
world by providing a well rounded education, smaller class sizes that allow for more individualized
learning, and a unique college experience. Liberal arts schools aim to provide students with a wide
variety of knowledge instead of requiring them to specialize as freshman. General education classes

The Rate a Drug is Released in the Body
Rate of drug release at any given location within gastrointestinal tract depends on the mechanism by
which the drug released from pellets and local environment within git. In order to predict in vivo
behavior of dosage forms, knowledge of release mechanism and physiological conditions of git should
be understood.
Type of coating and method of applying coating will determine dominant mechanism of drug release
from coated pellets. Release kinetic is predominantly determined by the behavior of coating material
under physiological conditions of git. Multiparticulates coated for extended release purpose; release
the drug by eighter diffusion or erosion or combination of these mechanisms.
Pellets coated with polymer not soluble under gi conditions releases drug by 4 different mechanisms:
1. Solution/ diffusion through the continuous plasticized polymer phase
This mechanism is based on assumption that the polymer forms a continuous phase in which the
plasticizer other additives are homogeneously dispersed. When polymer film is formed, it contains
molecular sized openings between crosslinked chains of polymer. Plasticizer other additives affects
wetting of these openings as well as interchain dimensions by changing the crosslinking properties of
polymer chains which are critical for diffusion of drug. Mostly, drug molecules diffuse through these
openings in a process known as hindered molecular diffusion. It is an activated process wherein
thermal fluctuations of chain segments

In addition, these entities are individualized and empowered to sue others and be sued in return. This
makes it simple for citizens who have qualms with such corporations to seek the intervention of the
law since they are treated as such entities under the law. As constitution directs the procedures and
requirements for the formation of corporations, it similarly warns that failure to incorporate these
conditions will make corporations non viable and their claims inadmissible in courts. Corporations are
also limited by this article in their capacity to fund political actions and endeavors. Article 15 also
addresses the same issue of corporations only its concern is on public service commissions. It is in this
regard that this Article establishes the Arizona Corporation Commission (Arizona Corporation

citizens, the commissions perform the role of regulating and providing public utilities. The
constitution also indicates that these corporations are under state regulation which aids in creating

Theme Of Voyeurism
Alexis Dygert
Professor Novak
Introduction to Film Studies
November 1st, 2017
Voyeurism: Helping to Solve Murders Since 1954 Alfred Hitchcock has always been known for his
suspenseful and action filled films. His 1954 production of the movie Rear Window is no
contradiction to that. Throughout Rear Window, many different motifs and themes are splayed out for
the audience to dwell upon. One well seen theme is voyeurism. Within the movie, the audience is
challenged with this theme, and left with the uncertainty about the power of voyeurism. Some critics
believe that Hitchcock even went so far as to use the film as a way to say that us as an audience has an
obsession with watching, which invades the privacy of those around us: voyeurism is ... Show more

Without the camera, some of the events that he would have seen would not be shown. Furthermore, he
categorizes his neighbors by names that he gives to them such as Miss Lonelyhearts , Miss Torso , and
Songwriter / Piano Man from their daily activities that he observes through is watching and looking
through his camera lens. As said by Seth M. Blazer, a writer for the Midwest Quarterly, A camera is
used to bring a killer to justice in Rear Window (Rear Window Ethics, 384). However, the idea of
watching stems a lot further than just staring out a window or peering through a lens.
Given what has been stated, the claim being made is that voyeurism is ultimately a good thing.
Without voyeurism, how are we to know who is the good or evil within our society? However, this
also speaks for us as an audience. For instance, Jeff is a stand in for us in the film. He is essentially
society and the way we are always infatuated with other people. In most cases, this would not be a
positive aspect. However, within Rear Window, Jeff watching his neighbors is a good thing.
Furthermore, the other residents living in the apartments believe in the positiveness of watching others
too. This is evident throughout the movie, especially in the middle. For example, a female resident
stands upon her balcony and bellows out to everyone You don t know the meaning of the word

Christian Philosophy Book Review
From the introduction of this book, Francis Nigel Lee describes his purpose of this book to introduce
the history of philosophy from Christian understanding, so he calls this book prolegomena to the
history of philosophy . Contents of this book are quite interesting; differing from a common book
about the history of philosophy, Lee starts from God as the beginning of the history and philosophy. A
structure of this book is following a biblical understanding of human history. Also, Lee heavily deals
with the period of ancient Eastern and Greek philosophy. He divides a true philosophy, which is
Christian philosophy, and a false philosophy, which is the rest of philosophies other than the Christian
philosophy. Then, Lee explains that how the true philosophy succeeded from God to Hebrew
philosophy and Early Christian Philosophy; on the other hand, he compares how the rest of
philosophies are different from a perspective of true philosophy.
Only the true philosophy has a correct understanding of mankind, the world, and God; in other words,

This question may be differently answered by how I define the philosophy, but it would be historically
legitimate that a thinking apart from God is not possible. When a philosophy starts from the word of
God and keeps the balance between God and man, the philosophy could be a true philosophy. Going
back to the question of the role of philosophy, then what is the role of the true philosophy? Concerning
literally meaning of philosophy, which is the love of wisdom, the true philosophy maybe the love of
the fear of God. I think that philosophy would show how man is weak and irrational without God as
the miserable consequence of sin. Showing this, the philosophy could praise and glorify God because

The Importance Of Human Rights In Estonia
Human right are the specific rights that are inherently instilled to all human beings regardless of their
nationality, sex, national or ethnic origin, color, language or any of feature that other may try to
segment/discriminate them into a defined category. The united nations holds these rights to the utmost
extent and realizes there are many countries where these rights are being infringed upon. There are
international human rights laws that try to protect the people and it has been reiterated numerous
times. However there is still much needed to be done to improve the status and standard of living of
the people that do not have the opportunity to hold all of these rights.
This paper will focus on my delegation country which is Estonia and we will explore human rights
through perspective and their stance on this subject. We will also explore the popular opinions of the
people of Estonia and how they value and interpret human rights. Estonia acknowledges human rights
and are generally respected by the government. However, there are concerns such as the police s use
of force, child abuse, and detention conditions. In terms of quantity, as of 2010, there have been 23
judgment cases brought against Estonia and in 19 cases there was at least one violation relating to
human rights. A major human rights problem in Estonia is the is large population of Children that are

Critique on Kingdom Education Essay
Critique on Kingdom Education
Summary
Kingdom education is a process that begins with a child accepting Christ as their Lord and Savior and
continues with the goal of that child reaching maturity in Christ. As such, evangelism and discipleship
are part of a kingdom education that will train children to know God and have a biblical worldview.
This worldview is taught through Bible stories, but is also incorporated into every subject and into
educational methods that reflect a biblical philosophy.
Ultimately, parents are responsible before God for their child; however, it is the role of the church and
the school to support the parents in their God given responsibility. In Kingdom education, these three
cords must work in harmony to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Kingdom education has two purposes. The first is universal and involves the call of God upon each
child to accept him as Lord and Savior. The second is personal and involves training each child to
obey God s individual call to serve him throughout their earthly life. Schools prepare students to obey
God in this world and to stand before God for eternity. (2006, p. 168).
A detrimental philosophical element that exists in society today is dualism. Dualism is the belief that
life, and truth, can be divided into the secular and the spiritual. Some truth and reality is secular, and
some is spiritual. This compartmental view of life causes spiritual truth to be seen as less accurate and
real than scientific fact, and considers God relevant in a religious context, but irrelevant to most of
life. Christians must view all truth as God s truth, and see everything from this supernatural
perspective.
Personal Response
Education plus God equals success. While this statement is true, the job of incorporating the truth
about God into everything taught is becoming increasingly more difficult. Schultz charted public
education s view of reality, truth and value throughout the history of the United States to show how an
unbiblical worldview has increasingly taken hold of society, the educational system and

Introduction 1.1 Research problem Harry Markowitz is one of the founders of the theory of finance,
the fastest growing economic sciences. This lays the foundation for the applied financial management
in a company, using the tools and methods of investigation with a help of which any company can
analyze its financial position, to assess the value of its capital and its structure, to select the best
investment project and to manage it or to decide how and how many shares or bonds to issue.
Markowitz s approach to the problem of portfolio selection suggests that the investor tries to solve two
problems: to maximize the expected return at a given level of risk or minimize uncertainty (risk) at a
given level of expected return. Therefore, the aim of this course work review the Markowitz portfolio
allocation theory as a way of creating the optimal and efficient investment portfolio and highlight its
importance in modern world. This paper tries to answer two fundamental questions: first, what is the
main idea behind Markowitz allocation theory, and the second, how valid is Markowitz theory

Why You Want Your Crowdfunding Campaign
Be Realistic If You Want Your Crowdfunding Campaign to Be a Hit
Like any great food dish, a successful crowdfunding campaign requires the right mix of ingredients.
And just as a chef wouldn t expect one three egg omelete to satiate an entire night s worth of diners, a
half baked crowdfunding campaign is unlikely to lead to a windfall of millions of dollars in cash.
To start determining the right amount or a realistic amount to try to raise in a crowdfunding campaign,
an entrepreneur needs to first determine what type of crowdfunding they want to pursue. Two of the
more popular types are rewards based and equity crowdfunding, but these two styles have significant
differences.
Let s be clear... Reward and investment based ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These types of crowdfunding are still quite new so the data is limited, but for those raising money
from ordinary investors using the $1 million cap, the average business has raised about $700,000,
according to Entrepreneur.
Prior to these allowances for equity crowdfunding, only wealthy investors were able to contribute to
these types of campaigns, which averaged a little over $400,000 per company, according to a
September 2015 article from Crowd101.
Serving a Treat with Rewards Based Crowdfunding
Rewards based crowdfunding offers an alluring alternative to equity crowdfunding because
entrepreneurs can hold onto their ownership stakes and offer contributors a reward instead. These
rewards could be anything to entice donors, such as providing the full product itself or offering a small
giveaway like a t shirt.
While this type of crowdfunding may sound sweeter, it could be more difficult to use this method as
the main source of capital.
On rewards based crowdfunding site Kickstarter, for example, the average campaign has raised a little
over $8100 dollars, and the success rate is only 36%, meaning those that don t reach their funding goal
don t receive the capital.
For those that did meet their goal, the average campaign raised just over $20,000, which is certainly a
step up but still below the levels of equity crowdfunding campaigns.

humans. Luther one day translated the Bible into German unknowingly beginning the start of a radical
religious revolution. Luther wanted to reform the Christian church of abuses. He wanted to return the
church to its roots of Christianity and take away moderation. Luther believed in the reading of
scriptures and finding the truth from within them. Robert Kolb believed, Luther was filled with the
dynamism that sprang from his spiritual conviction. (267) He believed Luther inspired others to have a
personal relationship with God and to inspire hope. Luther is depicted by many as a friend and a foe.
People took his materials and thoughts and made them into ideas that could be used for their own
purposes. Martin Luther has shaped the institutions and life of Christendom. He influenced his
followers as a churchman and a teacher. Lutheran churches came to think of Luther as a prophetic
hero and authority of faith. Some believed he was a servant of God, a prophet and the eschatological
angel. Followers of Luther set about to change the institutions and ideas that were helping to keep the
world together. Three conceptions of Luther s emerged and grew even beyond his years. First, Martin
Luther was seen as a prophet and becoming the primary authority in the church. Luther made
challenges that brought to light the doubts of the old religious system. Martin Luther and his adherents

Psychology, Climate Change And Sustainable Behavior
Environmental psychology provides a relatively new and at the same time complex perspective on the
connection between the human being and the surrounding environment. Despite the fact that this area
of expertise represents a mix of several sciences, among which economics, psychology, sociology
(Bechtel and Churchman, 2002, p2 5), it provides a structured view on the interactions humans have
with their surroundings. Given this co dependence, there are numerous events that happen every day
that affect the relation between the human being and its environment.
We live in an ever dependent world and environment. Therefore, it is only natural that world breaking
events shape and influence life for communities and countries. Alexa Spence and Nick Pidgeon point
out this very fact in an article presented in the online version of Environment Magazine, Psychology,
Climate Change Sustainable Behavior (2009). They provide certain tools that can be used to change in
the behavior of consumers and ordinary citizens once climate change has become a subject for
discussion for the international community.
The main point the authors are raising concerns the way in which the society, aware on the intrinsic
need to change in order to adapt to new challenges faced by climate change, can actually find the
motivation, means, and capacity to do this. More precisely, the authors raise the issues of What
represents a sustainable lifestyle, and how might competing visions of this be

Zara is one of the largest international fashion companies which belongs to the distribution group

the latest fashion designed. Their customers are the heart of their designs, productions, distribution

Female Power, Maternity and Genderbending in Shakespeare s Antony and Cleopatra
The 19th century essayist and literary critic William Hazlitt wrote of Cleopatra, She is voluptuous,
ostentatious, conscious, boastful of her charms, haughty, tyrannical, [and] fickle, which are great and
unpardonable faults (Hazlitt 2 3). Much of the criticism of Antony and Cleopatra has recycled this
judgement, depicting Cleopatra as a villainess uses her eroticism and sexuality to motivate Antony to
seek power. Cleopatra is memorable for her propensity for violence as well. While Antony and
Cleopatra was written after the death of a violent English queen, Elizabeth I, Shakespeare may have
been faced with a dramatic dilemma: how to make a woman ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

The binary oppositions of masculine and feminine are thus personified by Caesar and Cleopatra, not
by Antony, whose men often regard him as the pawn of the deceptive queen and thus not a real man.
On the contrary, Robert Miola says, Caesar s sense of purpose and public responsibility directly
opposes Cleopatra s love of idleness and luxury (129), a conclusion supported by the fact that it is
Caesar who, after the deaths of Antony and Cleopatra, provides some closure to the political chaos
that has dominated the play.
Such an assertion that the danger of Cleopatra s sexuality lies in her Egyptian surroundings requires
further detail here. The Orient represented a strange, but terrifyingly fascinating world to the
Elizabethans. While it was decidedly inferior and politically weak, the Orient also held a dangerous
mystique. As Lucy Hughes Hallett attests, poets, playwrights, historians and artists have found the
idea of Cleopatra s foreignness, or otherness, a suitable method by which to explain away her
dangerous sexuality. In other words, the fact that Cleopatra effectively seduced and influenced two
powerful Roman men baffled Western thinkers who could only explain it by attributing it to her
foreignness or otherness. Not surprisingly, Shakespeare succumbs to a similar artistic temptation. In
the first ten lines of the play, the surrender of Roman dignity to Egyptian passion is made clear. Philo
regretfully tells Demetrius how

William Shakespeare s Life Of The English Language
One of the greatest dramatists of all time came into the world on April 23, 1564 in Stratford upon
Avon, England, a small market town northwest of London (Biography 2016). William Shakespeare
grew up modestly throughout the early years of his life, but the influence that he had in the literary
world was anything but. His childhood education and young adult jobs aided him in creating a name
for himself gradually to the theater. With patience and commitment towards his writings, Shakespeare
became known as the finest poet of the English language (Lineback 2016). As a child, Shakespeare
had two older sisters and three younger brothers. His parents were John Shakespeare and Mary Arden
(Biography 2016). William s father was a leather merchant while his mother was a local landed
heiress. At the beginning of William s life, his father held official positions like a bailiff, which
resembled a mayor (Biography 2016). His parents higher statuses helped Shakespeare attend a well
known local grammar school, known as the King s New School, that not only studied Latin grammar
but also reading, writing, and the classics of that time (Biography 2016; History 2016). The education
during the Elizabethan Age made literacy and grammar a high priority for the young males of England
(Shakespeare in America 2016). The school days ran from six in the morning to five o clock at night.

The classification of the town as a world heritage site has important implications detrimental to the
socially and economically disadvantaged inhabitants of Valparaíso on a microeconomic level. Firstly,
natural and human induced hazards have important repercussions on the local destitute population4.
Gentrification acts in a way that increases their vulnerability to hazards5. Often, buildings and
artefacts are more vulnerable to hazards in heritage sites. Thus, when a natural or human made disaster
occurs, the urban poor are more prone to lose their home due to the unsafe and unstable structure of
the buildings. In addition, with the advent of early phases of gentrification, it is very difficult for the
affected population to find new living space in the city centre because of a chronic shortage [or even
absence] of low cost housing (Takamura 2015). As a result, this can lead to another issue: out
migration patterns of the lower class to adjacent cities. This not only causes immaterial cultural

Professional Plumbing Contractors
Are you in need of a professional plumbing contractor for your business? What you may not know is a
reliable and professional pluming contractor is not the same as a residential plumber. There may be the
same types of pipes, but a lot more is involved.
A professional plumbing contractor in Alameda needs to have special tools, training, experience, and a
set of required classifications. Fixing a clogged toilet in a bathroom will be the same as fixing a clog
in an office building. However, the main difference is the scale of the work. The preparation needed in

Each floor of a building will need plumbing that includes a toilet sinks, and other essentials.
Buildings with multiple floors means water pressure will be extremely important. Gravity will have an
impact on how the pipes in a building function. The repair techniques that are used may vary, based on
the nature of the problem. This can also have an impact on the tools being used by reliable and
professional plumbing contractors in Alameda. Multiple floors also affect the time needed to complete
a repair.
Time Factors
The time a professional plumbing contractor needs to complete a job is longer to do than a residential
plumber. A residential jobs can typically be completed in a day or up to a week based on the work that

Fit Feasibility Study
In addition to these general education requirements, a Lakeland College student must reach 120
credits in order to graduate, which can be composed of a mixture of credits within their field and other
electives. The physical education course that I am proposing could fall under the general education
category of Natural Science. This is because students will be learning about their different body
muscles and functions while they are exercising and learning about different diets and healthy habits.
This course could be compared to an introductory anatomy or biology class. Ultimately, the physical
education course would fall under the Exercise Science program, as an elective course. This means
that no student is required to take the physical ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One great aspect of the wellness course is that it does not require a lot of financing. Lakeland College
will only need to pay a salary for an existing professor to monitor the class and pay the hourly wage
for a student trainer. This is not expensive because Lakeland College will only need to increase the
pay of a single professor, and a student employee typically makes minimum wage. These options are
quite cheap compared to hiring an outside trainer or going through the entire process of hiring a new
professor to monitor the class. Basically, the class is no more or less expensive than already existing
courses in the curriculum, meaning the finical impact is very

Sweetheart Dance Research Paper
This paper is a reflection of my volunteering experience with The Arc of Tricitie s February
Sweetheart Dance. The dance was held on February 20, 2017 from 4 P.M. until 9 P.M. Prior to
volunteering for this event or taking the practice with persons with special needs class I did not have
much experience with the special needs population. The most interaction I had had with the special
needs population was in high school, but it was not on a regular basis. Many of my thoughts and
feelings were changed after volunteering for the Sweetheart Dance.
I was nervous and worried about the event, simply because I did not know what to expect. Most of
what is depicted on social media and television is negative, or steered toward creating a sense of
hopelessness ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Those who did need a little help with getting out of their comfort zone did not require that much of a
push. Others would simply grab their hands and they would start to dance out on the dance floor. The
photo booth was a fun and well organized activity. The people taking pictures used the photo booth
props accordingly and made it fun. The dancing was fun, most everyone participated and were very
outgoing. The friendliness of everyone made this volunteer project a great experience. When clean up
time came around I was so happy and surprised to see how many people came together to get the party
cleaned up. Some individuals who helped take down decorations were bringing the decorations to me
faster than I could put them away. They also helped with taking the decoration to the cars as

Business Skills Report
You will need certain skills and experiences to start and run a successful business. Many business
owners hire personnel to supply the skills that they lack. Below are a few questions you should answer
to help you identify your skills. By answering the following questions, you can identify the skills,
abilities, knowledge, and experience you possess or lack.
1) Do I have any skills to start and run a business?
2) Do I have any formal or informal business training?
3) Do I have any experience in a business similar to the one I plan to start?
4) Do I know what skills to look for when hiring personnel?
5) Will I be able to determine if the applicants meet those skills?
6) Do I have the time and resources to get additional training?
7) Can ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
After doing an analysis of your skills, you can then determine which business is right for you. If you
like working with people, you would not be happy with a job working on a machine in an area where
there is no contact with the public. If you want more control in your life, then you probably would not
be happy in a partnership. Do you consider yourself a morning or night person? If you like working at
nights, then a 24 hour copying business would be appropriate for you.
Do you consider yourself as a friendly service minded person who is willing to help others? If so, then
you would do well in a business that deals with providing a service to customers on a one on one
basis. Many people with these characteristics often participate at craft fairs, trade shows and
conventions because they like dealing with people.
Do you like being a leader and handling responsibilities? Then you would enjoy working in a position
where you are the boss and can make all the decisions. In a position like this, you will be responsible
for yourself and for others. To me, Recognizing the skills that you do not have and getting someone in
your organization to do that work is a form of good

  • 2. Arguments Against Abortion Introduction Although, currently legalized, abortion continues to be a burdening ethical issue in America. From 1973 to 2011 approximately 53 million legal abortions were performed in the United States (Procon.org, 2015, p.1). Pro Choice supporters hail an abortion is a woman s choice and a protected personal right that should not be limited by governmental or religious authority (Procon.org, 2015, p.1). However, Pro Life supporters contend that a human life begins at the very moment of conception and thus an abortion is the immoral killing of an innocent human being (Procon.org, 2015, p.1). Thus, there are various arguments to be considered on both sides. Pro Choice Many contend that in attempting to delegalized abortions the government ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Pro Life supporters insist that a child is considered a human being at the very moment of conception. Thus, abortion is murder and is unethical because the right to live was stripped from the child. A child can be aborted up to 24 weeks of life and in some states later (Procon.org, 2015, p.1). Furthermore, a fetus does feel pain during the abortion procedure because by eight weeks the most primitive response to pain, the spinal reflex, is developed (Procon.org, 2015, p.1). Moreover, the psychological affects of an abortion can be overwhelming such as increased depression and anxiety (Procon.org, 2015, p.1). A 2002 peer reviewed study published by the Southern Medical Journal... found that women who aborted were 154% more likely to commit suicide than women who carried to term (Procon.org, 2015, p.1). Pro Life supporters believe women must not be able to use an abortion as a means of contraception. If one becomes pregnant, one must be responsible for the child they have brought to the world. Thousands of families desire to adopt children, thus abortion significantly reduces the number of adoptable babies (Procon.org, 2015, p.1). Lastly, abortion promotes a culture in which human life is disposable and it is acceptable to rid of a life that inconveniences you (Procon.org, 2015, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 4. Positive Discipline Effects On Children Parents have been disciplining their children for decades using a wide range of techniques using both negative and positive forms. Kennedy stated that effective discipline should be merely the process of teaching a child right from wrong (Kennedy). Effective forms of discipline are viewed very differently by different people. Parents have a choice when disciplining their child, they can either use positive forms or negative forms of discipline. Grusec et al., stated that children need clear and consistent rules, support, and acceptance rather than rejection , in order to grow up to value and respect authority (465 471). So, if children benefit from positive discipline, what happens when a child is exposed to negative discipline throughout their life. Negative discipline can be seen in a wide range of ways, such as, physical punishment, punitive discipline, inconsistency, and lack of affection. I believe that negative discipline that is used with children, leaves lasting negative physical, mental, and emotional effects. Theorist over the years have tried to tell everyone what types of discipline are correct and good. Grusec et al., described how some theorists believe that children experience feelings of hostility towards their parents when exposed to harsh or negative discipline (465 471). There s really all these different groups of people who settled and created a culture but then there s the colonizers who came and claimed it as their own. Who got there first? No one knows because the colonizers will always have the upper hand and more power to silence the people of color. There was an age where people used brick and mortar stores to see the latest available movies. Currently, there are more choices open for film lovers of all ages. The World Wide Web has improved things drastically, and many physical rental stores have faded out of existence. Ultimately, this brings about where Netflix , Red Box, and Blockbuster comes into place considering the progression of film service. Blockbuster is a great example of a brick and mortar store, which opened in Dallas in the year 1985. Blockbuster has been providing the service of renting physical media off of its shelves for quite some time. At its peak Blockbuster was massive, but because the company constantly changes its price structures and late fee agreements, it has made renting films a costly and frustrating outlook. Red Box, on the other hand, has machines in many locations nationwide, allowing one to rent movies for only a dollar a night. Most of these machines are usually located in Wal Mart, McDonalds, 7 11 s, and grocery stores. There are some drawbacks for this company, which include the limited product selection they have for their customers, and the extensive wait time to use the machines. Red Box customers are also subjected to the 28 day waiting period on some new released films. The future of Red Box is looking worthy of note, as video games are being presented in test markets ... Frost talks about the saw as though it were a person when as it ran light, or had to bear a load like the saw can feel the weight of its work. The narrator depicts the scene as the saw and the boy interacting in a human way. As if to prove saws know what supper meant, / Leaped out at the boy s hand, or seemed to leap The boy and the saw connect during the boys excitement over dinner and Frost makes it seem as though the saw was also excited leading to them both jumping. The saw is personified again as it is said to have leaped to meet the hand and then cut it off. The following line continues the same way. Neither refused the meeting. But the hand! The saw is brought to life and it becomes the antagonist in the poem as it chops off the boy s hand and not once does Frost blame the boy in the accident. After the hand is chopped off the saw is not mentioned again as the poem continues with the boy. And may the odds be ever in your favor! is a famous quote said by Effie Trinket, an escort for the District twelve tributes. Effie said this quote before drawing the names from the drawing pool at the reaping. This quote was meant to give them hope and faith that they were not going to be chosen as a tribute in the hunger games. Throughout the novel, there were many roles, meanings, media, outward appearances, technology, and government significances towards the Hunger Games. The roles and meanings were extremely important throughout the games, but the main character to pay close attention to was Katniss. Katniss played the role of a girl who had shown outstanding characteristics that may have come to a surprise to many. She showed a lot of courage that gave her some meaning to her character. One way she showed her courage was by hunting illegally as a way to help her family survive. This was courageous because she knew if she were to be caught she would have been publicly executed for rebelling against the Capitol. Another example of a courageous act was the day of the reaping. The day of the reaping when her little sister Prim s name was drawn out from the drawing pool Katniss almost immediately reacted on her sister s behalf. People took his materials and thoughts and made them into ideas that could be used for their own purposes. Martin Luther has shaped the institutions and life of Christendom. He influenced his followers as a churchman and a teacher. Lutheran churches came to think of Luther as a prophetic hero and authority of faith. Psychology, Climate Change And Sustainable Behavior Environmental psychology provides a relatively new and at the same time complex perspective on the connection between the human being and the surrounding environment. Despite the fact that this area of expertise represents a mix of several sciences, among which economics, psychology, sociology (Bechtel and Churchman, 2002, p2 5), it provides a structured view on the interactions humans have with their surroundings. Given this co dependence, there are numerous events that happen every day that affect the relation between the human being and its environment. We live in an ever dependent world and environment. Therefore, it is only natural that world breaking events shape and influence life for communities and countries. Alexa Spence and Nick Pidgeon point out this very fact in an article presented in the online version of Environment Magazine, Psychology, Climate Change Sustainable Behavior (2009). They provide certain tools that can be used to change in the behavior of consumers and ordinary citizens once climate change has become a subject for discussion for the international community. The main point the authors are raising concerns the way in which the society, aware on the intrinsic need to change in order to adapt to new challenges faced by climate change, can actually find the motivation, means, and capacity to do this. More precisely, the authors raise the issues of What represents a sustainable lifestyle, and how might competing visions of this be ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Female Power, Maternity and Genderbending in Shakespeare s Antony and Cleopatra The 19th century essayist and literary critic William Hazlitt wrote of Cleopatra, She is voluptuous, ostentatious, conscious, boastful of her charms, haughty, tyrannical, [and] fickle, which are great and unpardonable faults (Hazlitt 2 3). Much of the criticism of Antony and Cleopatra has recycled this judgement, depicting Cleopatra as a villainess uses her eroticism and sexuality to motivate Antony to seek power. Cleopatra is memorable for her propensity for violence as well. While Antony and Cleopatra was written after the death of a violent English queen, Elizabeth I, Shakespeare may have been faced with a dramatic dilemma: how to make a woman ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The binary oppositions of masculine and feminine are thus personified by Caesar and Cleopatra, not by Antony, whose men often regard him as the pawn of the deceptive queen and thus not a real man. On the contrary, Robert Miola says, Caesar s sense of purpose and public responsibility directly opposes Cleopatra s love of idleness and luxury (129), a conclusion supported by the fact that it is Caesar who, after the deaths of Antony and Cleopatra, provides some closure to the political chaos that has dominated the play. Such an assertion that the danger of Cleopatra s sexuality lies in her Egyptian surroundings requires further detail here. The Orient represented a strange, but terrifyingly fascinating world to the Elizabethans. While it was decidedly inferior and politically weak, the Orient also held a dangerous mystique. As Lucy Hughes Hallett attests, poets, playwrights, historians and artists have found the idea of Cleopatra s foreignness, or otherness, a suitable method by which to explain away her dangerous sexuality. In other words, the fact that Cleopatra effectively seduced and influenced two powerful Roman men baffled Western thinkers who could only explain it by attributing it to her foreignness or otherness. Not surprisingly, Shakespeare succumbs to a similar artistic temptation. In the first ten lines of the play, the surrender of Roman dignity to Egyptian passion is made clear. Firstly, natural and human induced hazards have important repercussions on the local destitute population4. Gentrification acts in a way that increases their vulnerability to hazards5. Often, buildings and artefacts are more vulnerable to hazards in heritage sites. Thus, when a natural or human made disaster occurs, the urban poor are more prone to lose their home due to the unsafe and unstable structure of the buildings. In addition, with the advent of early phases of gentrification, it is very difficult for the affected population to find new living space in the city centre because of a chronic shortage [or even absence] of low cost housing (Takamura 2015).
