The Psychosocial Impact of Psoriasis, a Skin Condition
Don t judge a book by its cover is one of the greatest known metaphorical phrases in human history.
People constantly identify with and attempt to apply the concept in everyday life; yet our society has
constructed a paradigm in which the perfection of your skin predetermines your social interactions in
life. Likewise it is important to comprehend that it is not only on the side of society s judgements
which determines your interactions, but it is also that of the lowered self esteem of the individual. To
garner apposite knowledge, the task at hand required the interviewing of a person with a skin
condition with the aim to internalise and reflect upon the biopsychosocial as well as cultural impacts
of the illness. I was lucky enough to have the privilege of interviewing Jane Doe, a 20 year old white
female with a history of psoriasis since age five. I was introduced to Jane through a close friend and
entering into a professional relationship, she agreed to help me in my endeavour. Drawing on the
principles of interviewing I ensured that it was a quiet, confidential and comfortable space1; thus it
took place in her home. Jane has had a difficult beginning in life as psoriasis a common, chronic
immune mediated skin disease currently has no cure and is characterised by scaly, reddened patches,
papules, and plaques, which usually itch.2

The difficulty to comprehend living with a disease characterised by such vivid visual aspects is

Ordinary People
Interestingly, this documentary is based on the lives of five individuals and their experiences with
Russia s transition that came from the collapse of the Soviet Union. Moreover, four of the five people
have known each other from childhood and lived in similar circumstances under the authoritarian rule.
I will be focusing on how Olga, Andrei, Borya and Lyuba who are ordinary citizens have managed to
live under an authoritarian rule. To begin with, USSR was the union of 15 socialist republic that
included: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belorussia, Estonia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kirgiziya Latvia, Lithuania,
Moldavia, Russia,Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan. Without a doubt, USSR adopted
a authoritarian regime in which it the socialist had the ultimate ownership in all areas of manufacture,
distribution, and trade.
This centralized economic system lasted from 1922 until 1991 and it function under the Communist
party. The philosophy behind this authoritarian regime derived from Marxism Leninism in which it
valued and pushed for a one party state. The main theme behind this documentary is about the
experiences of five people that were greatly affected by the political change. These people were able
to express and tell their story about living under USSR totalitarian authoritarian regime and then to

that they chose a different path in live. Moreover, due to the authoritarian transition they were
introduced to western norms that include clothing, access to more information, and stock market.
Also, they were all part of history in the making since in 1989 it was the first open election and lived
through the End of a single party system. Even though they also experienced hardships, as the
economy did not prosper when Yesltsin was reelected in

Urban Environment Is The Natural, Built And Institutional...
Urban Environment is the natural, built and institutional elements that determine the physical, mental
and social health and wellbeing of people who live in cities and towns.
The urban environment is more than a physically defined entity. It includes the environmental and
ecological context, psycho social structures and supports, and patterns of migration as well as all
aspects of the geography and politics of cities. Hence, governance arrangements, cultural identities
and related activities, housing and urban form, education, food security, health services, land use and
tenure, transport, water, crime and exposure to pollutants and extreme weather events are all
dimensions of urban life that are properly included in a focus on health in a changing urban
environment. (Chen, 2011)
Happiness
The quantitative analysis of happiness by social scientists has resulted in the development of
sophisticated scales to measure individual and collective norms that include satisfaction with life as a
whole as well as with various domains of life, such as health and income. And there are a number of
on going surveys that attempt to measure happiness, one being the Australian Unity Wellbeing Index,
which has been measuring the happiness of Australians since April 2001 (see Cummins et al. 2003). It
uses the Subjective Wellbeing Homeostasis management system, which suggests that we hold
happiness within a relatively narrow range of values. It has been shown to be resilient. It would seem

Kennel Club Research Paper
Although some would have you believe that the prevalence of genetic disorders in these dogs is
exaggerated, much evidence points the other way. Some estimates claim up to 25% of dogs registered
in the American Kennel Club have some genetic complication. (Lemonick, np.) Since American
Kennel Club breed standards only pertain to physical appearance, dogs with unseen problems are
allowed to pass on these defects, so long as exteriorly they conform to expectations. Because if this,
vast amounts of medical conditions are becoming increasingly common among registered dogs. As the
arbiter of purebred dog breeding, the American Kennel Club has a heightened responsibility to help
protect the health of the breeds they represent. Despite this, the ... Show more content on

By looking at historical paintings, drawing, and photographs, we can see what various breeds have
looked like in the past. To draw on an earlier example, pugs, as seen in paintings from their initial rise
to fame, hade much more pronounced muzzles. Their faces weren t as flattened as modern pugs. Their
eyes were less bugged . They had longer legs, and a slimmer body. All of these features contributed to
avoiding the health problems common today. By looking at how pugs have appeared in the past, and
revising the breed standard with those historical examples in mind, the American Kennel Club can
strike a happy medium between modern aesthetics and historic health. This solution would work well
for many breed currently experiencing suboptimal quality of life, and could be very effective at halting
and reversing the negative changes of modern conformation

Essay about The Characterisation of Clytaemnestra in the...
In this essay I intend to discuss how Aeschylus presents Clytaemnestra in the Oresteia and how he
marks the extent to which traits of Clytaemnestra s character remain defiantly unchanged as she
manipulates events and characters around her. Clytaemnestra is the only character who appears in all
three plays in the trilogy, but despite her immense stage presence she remains a troublesome character
to interpret due to the highly ambiguous nature of her words. I intend to show that the key to
unlocking Clytaemnestra s manly heart lies in the fact that she hated Agamemnon, not simply because
he had killed her child, nor because she loved Aegisthus, but out of a jealousy that was not a jealously
of Cassandra, but of Agamemnon himself and his ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
260 1)), it becomes clear that the Chorus subversively believe that Clytaemnestra only wields power
as her husband s regent. However, Clytaemnestra does wield power impressively. The Watchman at
the beginning of Agamemnon clearly fears retribution from Clytaemnestra if he betrays knowledge:
`The ox is on my tongue...I speak to those who know; to those who don t my mind s blank (Ag. 38
43). Haruo Konishi believes that `both the Watchman and Messenger were hired by the adulterous
couple (69), however there appears insubstantial textual evidence to support his claim that
`Clytaemnestra s heart is counselled by a man...Aegisthus asserts that he alone did all the planning
(41). This means that the commands the audience hear Clytaemnestra delivering to every character she
encounters are all of her own accord. Clytaemnestra even commands the chorus of slave women in
Libation Bearers who furiously hate her. Although the Chorus are unwilling to perform the libations to
appease Agamemnon s soul on behalf of the `godless woman (Lib. 34), they do not oppose her wishes
despite believing the ritual hypocritical and futile: `What can redeem the blood that wets the soil?
(Lib. 49 50).
Clytaemnestra has no qualm in exerting control over those who she ostensibly loves. In Libation
Bearers, Aegisthus appears following s Clytaemnestra instruction, saying `Yes, I have my summons
(Lib. 824). Although he does not trust Clytemnestra s report that

The Perks Of Being A Wallflower Theme Essay
The Perks of Being a Wallflower written by Stephen Chbosky follows the protagonist and narrator,
Charlie, a teenage boy who writes a series of letters to an anonymous recipient. Throughout the book
Charlie is confronted with a variety of issues, including teen sexuality, drugs, alcohol and suicide in
which he expresses through his letters. Chbosky explores the themes of sexuality, participation and
innocence vs experience with the use of intertextual references to enhance the chosen themes. The
theme of sexuality is enhanced with the references to The Rocky Horror Picture Show as it explores
similar ideas. Participation is a problem for Charlie and also for the narrator of The Great Gatsby,
Nick as they are constantly observing others and avoiding ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Charlie has been witness to rape, molest, abuse and the gay community. The Rocky Horror Picture
Show is mentioned throughout the novel as it provides the characters with a place where they can let
go and be themselves, without reservation and without judgment. Every Friday the characters come
together to watch and act out the show. This is an important place for Patrick as he regularly plays the
role of Frank N Furter, the transvestite in the film. Patrick is open about his homosexuality, but cannot
make his relationship with Brad public. Through participation Patrick becomes truly liberated on stage
as it allows him to be his true self. Another example where the show has enhanced sexuality is when
Charlie is asked to perform as Rocky. The character enables Charlie to embody a more sexual version
of himself, as it allows him to temporarily leave behind his emotional baggage. Charlie in a letter
describes his experience But the best part was the scene with Janet where we had to touch each other.
The character allowed Charlie to express and embrace his sexuality without overthinking his actions.
The Rocky Horror Picture Show was a place where the characters could truly embrace their sexuality
and a version of themselves they were truly happy

Essay about America and the Normandy Invasion
The year was 1944, and the United States had now been an active participant in the war against Nazi
Germany for almost three and a half years. During this time, numerous battles had occurred which
were fought with determination and intensity on both sides. Amongst the many invasions of World
War II, there is one day which stands out more in the minds of many American soldiers than the
others. That day was June 6, 1944, more commonly known as D Day, part of the invasion of
Normandy, known as Operation Overlord. This operation was the largest amphibious assault in
history. It was a day in which thousands of young Americans, who poured onto the beaches of France,
matured faster than they would have ever imagined. They were not prepared for ... Show more content

Troops, armour, and equipment arrivals were timed to the minute. Naval barrage landed first on the
beach at 6:30 a.m., immediately followed by thirty two light assault tanks known as DD tanks to
further subdue fortified positions and provide cover for the oncoming troops (These were held on
large freight boats known as LCTs). In the wake of this attack came the American 2nd Battalion, 8th
Infantry in twenty Higgens boats, another type of transport designed to hold a thirty man team. They
were followed by the 1st Battalion, 8th Infantry, bringing engineers and naval demolition teams in
thirty two more Higgens boats.6 Wave after wave of troops and equipment, containing bulldozers, and
the light and mobile Sherman Tank (see appendix B) continued to arrive. Before the assaults began,
the planners, including Allied Commander Dwight D. Eisenhower, hoped everything would stick to
the precise schedule. This hope was not a reality, as some craft landed too late, others too early, and
some off course as far as a kilometre south of the target. There were many factors which resulted in
the wronging of the time table. Tides, wind, waves, and a thick cover of smoke were all partially
responsible for the trouble, while the largest factor were the mines placed just off

Qualitative Data Collection And Analysis
This interview has revealed a deep connection (H) has with this program, students, and teacher. It has
also described the successfulness this tutoring program has become for students participants as well as
the success the teacher has in her classroom. In order to reach conclusions regarding the
successfulness of the program and the attitude of (H) regarding the program, data from the interview
must be collected and analyzed appropriately. Qualitative data collection and analysis is appropriate
for an interview because it is not using numerical data but instead descriptive narrative and visual
information. Interviews allow the researcher to get more information about the study that observation
alone will not achieve. Gay Mills (2016) suggested, Interviews provide information that is
inaccessible through observation (p. 550). During the interview, the researcher must take notes and/or
record the verbal interaction taking place between the interviewer and interviewee. If the interview is
recorded, one must have it transcribed in order to properly and easily collect important data necessary
to the research. As part of qualitative data collection and analysis, it is important to identify themes
and code pieces of data from the interview transcript. After highlighting and making notes from the
interview transcript I noticed several different themes emerging. These themes included According to
Gay Mills (2016), a way to analyze data is to consider the big picture and

Homelessness In Canada
When people think of Canada, they likely imagine a prospering country filled with equal opportunity,
safety, and security. While this statement can be true for the population of privileged white people,
Canada, unfortunately, has had some unproud moments in its history, and sadly, the treatment of
minorities is still poor today. Specifically, there has been historic problems between Canada and
indigenous people, from as early as the colonization of the land stolen from the indigenous people to
the assimilation of youth with residential schools. The land that is proudly called Canada today, once
was the home to many aboriginal tribes including the East Indies, before it was stolen by colonizers
(Vikings, French, and Europeans) as early as ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Local forces should operate with transparency and work on a foundation of equity and equality, to
ensure all demographics are safe and protected, without bias or discrimination. Unfortunately, there
have been many incidents in Canada, where police forces denied the issue and showed racism in their
operations. Culhane (2003) claimed that in East Vancouver alone, a minimum of 61 women has been
reported missing since 1983. When these reports were made to the local police, they were ignored and
not taken seriously which contradicts the duties that the police service should provide. Attention was
not brought to these reports until the Philip Owens, Vancouver mayor, ordered the police to investigate
these concerns (Culhane 2003). After the local forces took control and started investigating, this issue
started getting more and more coverage in academics, and media, convicts were finally being arrested
for their wrongdoing. While this action did not solve the problem, it was successful in initiating a
conversation that was not previously had, which was a significant movement for acknowledging the
crisis. This shows how progress can be made with smaller centralized action, however, it also
demonstrates the importance that superior governing forces play, the ideal solution would be for the
federal government to prompt and encourage local forces to foster this issue within

The Effects of Advertising on Teens
The effects of 2 People see advertisements all around the globe that attempt to lure consumers to buy
products. Advertisements are placed in newspapers, magazines, schools, and on billboards
everywhere. According to marketing consultants Stan Rapp and Tom Collins, on a typical day, an
average American sees over 5,000 advertisements a day (Gay, 1992). Many questions arise about these
advertisements, such as Is advertising deceptive? Does it create or perpetuate stereotypes? Does it
create conformity? Does it create insecurity in order to sell goods? Does it cause people to buy things
that they really don t need? (Alexander Hanson, 1993, p. 240). Advertisers use specific methods to
target teen consumers, but these methods are not always ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For example, beer commercials often show a man after a hard day s work enjoying an ice cold beer to
relax him. They also argue that ads give people the impression that products can give them talent.
Take athletics, for example. Nike ads are accused of implying that their shoes will give a consumer
athletic ability. Michael Jordan is shown in a television commercial dunking a basketball, wearing a
new style of Nike shoes. Consequently, kids are going to want the same pair to be like Mike (Wolf,
1998, n.p.). On the other hand, advertising agencies say that they just give the consumers up to date
information. They show change in their ads because they know that is what consumers want and to
fulfill the needs of the general public, change. Thus, persuasive strategies are considered techniques
used by advertisers to get consumers to buy. Teenagers have become top consumers in today s society,
so advertisers have focused on getting their business. According to Simmons Market Research Bureau
of New York City, teens bought 25% of all movie tickets and 27% of all videos, totaling $6.6 billion.
In 1998, teens spent $1.5 billion on jeans, almost twice as much as in 1990, and $3 billion on
sneakers, almost four times more than the amount spent in 1997 (Tulley, 1994). Another reason teens
are being targeted is the fact that there are many more teens in America today than the past Generation
X. The current number is even expected to grow in the next decade,

Reaction Paper On Hannah Arendt
Hannah Arendt is a 2013 bio pic directed by Margarethe von Trotta; about an important episode form
the life of German Jewish philosopher Hannah Arendt (1906 1975) who was one of the most
influential political theorists of the twentieth century. She was born in a German Jewish family and
was forced to leave Germany in 1933. Actress Barbara Sukowa plays the role of Arendt as a
complicated woman, who is a brilliant philosopher and also stubborn at times. This film revolves
around Hannah s controversial stand during the trial of ex Nazi Adolf Eichmann, while she offered to

of pure hate and projecting it on the Jews (Adorno, projection theory). Of course, there were
exceptions like Oscar Schindler who had his own ideology unlike Eichmann who was part of the
process whereby ugly, degrading, murderous, and unspeakable acts become routine and are accepted
as normal. Hannah willingly engaged in the path of enlightenment knowing the bitter consequences
she might face. Although Arendt started Eichmann in Jerusalem as a trial report, it became a literary

that year, made it a misdemeanor punishable by fines to teach any ideology that denies the idea of

After William Jennings Bryan heard of the trial, he volunteered to assist the prosecution. Soon after,
Clarence Darrow joined the ACLU in the defence. Early on in the trial, the defence was set back as the

Analysis Of Karjon s Tale
On the way back, the two were discussing what they might do about all that they had discovered.
Karjon was keen to expand his knowledge and discuss with experts in the field. But first he had to find
an expert in this field or at least a similar field. If one did exist. He was reticent to blindly accept the
premise by Murfon that there was no expert in this area. There had to be someone. The Hive could not
be so ignorant about the sky around them to not bother with picking someone to study it.
Murfon s stance was one of caution. He knew that Karjon s insatiable curiosity had got him into
trouble before. The Hive Elders were running out of patience with his endless questions about how

going to be demoted down to a cleaner or something, or worse yet, reclamation. It has happened

Murfon was almost pleading but noticed a wry smile on Karjon s face. That was enough to convince
Murfon that Karjon was going to do something. His curiosity had an overwhelming power over his
decision making.
Back at the Hive, Karjon and Murfon immediately sought out Tamblin. He was in his usual area, at the

Rhetorical Analysis Of The Novel
The use of irony in the novel also contributes to its postmodernism. Many postmodernists treat serious
subjects jovially to distance themselves from the difficult subject. They evoke black humor and
different types of irony to offer critics of society and to display how society should not fear dark and
somber things. DeLillo sprinkles irony all throughout his story using it even at the most serious of
times. He uses it to show how the characters should not fear death and how the characters ignore
danger when the smoke alarm went off in the hallway upstairs, either to let us know the battery had
just died or because the house was on fire (8) and they did nothing about the possible imminent
danger. DeLillo also uses irony to mock certain characters and expose the ridiculousness of certain
beliefs and customs. When Jack s boss advises him to change his name and appearance to gain more
prestige, the change they make is pretentious as it is the same name only without one letter, we finally
agreed that I should event an extra initial and call myself J.A.K Gladney (16). DeLillo continues to
ridicule society and its principles by exposing absurdity such as Jack not knowing German despite
being the founder of Hitler studies and his college requiring all Hitler majors to understand some of
the language, I had long tried to conceal the fact that I did not know German (31). The use of irony not
only gives the novel a lighter tone, but also exposes DeLillo s critique of society

Waldenstrom Macroglobulinemia Essay
Waldenstrom macroglobulinemia (WM), also known as lymphoplasmacytic lymphoma, is a type of
low grade non Hodgkin lymphoma characterized by bone marrow infiltration with lymphomasmacytic
cells. WM was named after Jan Waldenstrom, a Swedish doctor who came across the disease and
labeled the disorder in 1944. It is an incurable, rare disease affecting 1 in 3 million people with a
medial life span of 5 9 years after it is diagnosed. The cause of this disease is unknown but recent
indications and research show that the cause can be due to changes in the DNA. Age and gender are
the main factors with most occurrences in men over 50. WM s cancer cells are similar to multiple

Prognosis is influenced by factors such as how advanced the disease is at diagnosis, and how rapidly it
is advancing. Effective treatments are traditional chemotherapy agents such as chlorambucil,
cyclophosphamide and melphalan. These can be given as a single agent or combination with others
such as rituximab. This monoclonal antibody has been found to be effective. Because WM is a rare
disease, there are minimal research trials to support this disease. But none the less, there are clinical
trials available. Ongoing research has introduced new therapies including inhibitors and alkylating
agents. These ongoing clinical trials have shown that when compared to conventional chemotherapy
agents, can not only treat the symptoms of the disease, but also continue to further medicine s
knowledge as to patient s prognosis while providing patients increased therapeutic efficacy, longer
remissions and most important, a better quality of life. Stem cell transplant is also an option. This
process involves removal of blood forming stem cells which are restored to the patient following
chemotherapy treatment while the transplanted cells return to the bone marrow and produce new
blood cells. Another option for patients with a swollen spleen is the removal of the spleen. This would

the very first Indian woman to ever single handedly direct a movie is engraved in stone, and will
always be. The year was 1926, at a time when world cinema was still experimenting with the science
and technology of motion pictures. Indian cinema had already taken long strides by then, but produced
only acting roles for women. Yet, breaking the mould, Fatma Begum established her own production
company Fatma Films and went on to direct Bulbule Paristan! Perhaps without even realising the
effect of her achievement, Fatma laid the foundation stone for a generation of women, who sought to
be employed by the burgeoning film industry in a role other than that of an actress. The Southern film
industry encompassing three major languages: Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada did not see its own female
driven films until the 1960s, when Savitri Ganesan the spouse of the iconic Gemini Ganesan directed
Chinnari Papalu. When one reads about it, it seems like a rosy story. But women had to make
unimaginable strides and struggles to even tread on the path that was paved by Fatma Begum forty
years earlier. Savitri Ganesan herself ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
And the other industries have been graciously receptive of the quality of art that is produced by
Bengali makers. It is important that the entire country learns to accept the strides that the women
filmmakers of Bengal have made, and only have a more sustained belief in their own daughters. Move
over the days where women were only meant to be actresses, models and item number girls. It s high
time women are given the opportunities that men have considered a

To begin with the banquet, the host will toast to everyone, and the guest should stand and drink from
their cup. After that, during the banquet, the host will toast to everyone, it is very impolite to refuse to
drink. According to Eugene Cooper (2007), the most important rule of Chinese table manners is the
seating arrangements. If a banquet is a simple dinner which just have one or two tables in a room, then
the highest ranked person should sit in the place which facing the entrance, as it has the best view of
the room(Rina B 2011). However, if it is a big banquet, the most respectful table is in the middle as it
is the central and has the best view of the banquet. In addition, all the people will focus on the central
table when the reader begins to toast.
2.2 Giving a gift
In China, giving a gift is not always regard as a bribe. On the other hand, it indicates that you are
interested in building a relationship. When giving a gift in Chine, the color of the wrap should be
carefully choose. In china, the red color is regarded as a lucky color, gold means wealth; pink and
yellow are also acceptable. However, avoid using black or white wrap as it used in funeral. Beside, do
not just giving a gift to one person without giving to the others, which would be considered as very
impolite (UNSW Press 2008).

Blue Chip Cookies
Title For my Mystery Shop, I chose Blue Chip Cookie. Later on you ll know more about why I chose
this place and what happened. As you could guess Blue Chip Cookies is primarily focused on selling
cookies, I had never been to Blue Chip Cookies before but I wanted to see what it had to offer.
Sometimes smaller business put more effort into pleasing their customers and the quality of their
product rather than just focusing on how much money they could earn. In this report you ll read about
my Mystery Shop , a project where you evaluate the customer service of a particular business. The
company Blue Chip Cookies isn t particularly big with 4 stores in the USA. (Cookie Locations, 2016).

It was about 10:20am and as expected, there wasn t a line though I did see one person get something
but that was it. From the outside the store looked clean and well maintained. I couldn t go inside the
store as it was a part of the food court. When I came up closer I had to wait a few minutes while
Sheryl the CSR was in the back probably preparing for the day but once she was done she greeted me
and asked what I wanted. I replied with: Can I have a chocolate chip cookie Sheryl said sure and
began to reach for my requested cookie but before she could I interrupted her asking if I could get my
initials in icing on my cookie. I explained that it was by birthday (which is partially true because my
birthday falls on Nov 24 Sheryl paused for a moment but then without hesitation replied with Alright
and went into the back to get some icing. It wasn t very long before Sheryl was back and you could
tell that Sheryl was good at her job though it may not seem like much ,she really took the time to
make my initials big and without any mistakes. Sheryl tried to put the cookie into a bag without
getting the icing messed up but I told her that it was fine without one. I paid for my cookie and before
I left I asked her for her name and she gave it to me with a smile and thanked me for my purchase.
After this I went to enjoy my large cookie and evaluated my

The Five Stages Of Personality Development
Stages of Personality Development
Why Personality Development is Necessary?
The personality of a person can be defined by their individuality, behaviors, opinion, and thoughts. All
these aspects begin budding during childhood, and are strengthened and molded as an individual
grows into adulthood. Have you ever imagined why a few people have plenty of friends while others
do not? Or why others can effortlessly settle in to any communal gathering while others cannot? The
difference lies due to the kind of personality these people have. While some individuals have a very
likeable personality, some are rather intimidating and complex which causes others to avoid them.
There are different stages of personality. Over the course of time, you will pass through various stages
in order to become a person of pleasing personality. According to Erikson theory the personality of a
person continues to be molded throughout the entire lifespan right from birth till death. He has divided
this period into eight stages. Each phase has its distinguishing features marked by emotional crisis,
culture of the person and his communication with the society.
Below mentioned are the 5 Stages of Personality Development:
1. Oral Stage (0 1.5 years of age)
Oral stage lasts from zero to one and a half years. During this time mouth is ... Show more content on

The youngsters, during this intermediary process from childhood to maturity, perform something like
an adult and sometimes like a child. Parents too demonstrate their ambivalence to believe them in their
new role of an adult in the making. This phase exhibits all the psycho social individuality of previous
stage and only towards the end, all these obtain determined into a new set of role for the teenager. In
order to develop an individual identity, he becomes admirer of some hero, starts following certain
ideologies, and tries his luck with opposite

High School Dropout Survey
My survey contained ten questions developed around the idea of trying to connect high school drop
out rates and incarceration rates. It was administered to ten people on my floor, three males and seven
females. Overall, it is believed that crime is committed because people need to support themselves
and/or their family. A majority chose 65% as the percentage of inmates in prison who are high school
dropouts, when the correct percentage was 80%. In addition, they thought more high school dropouts
were unemployed, when as of 2012 it was only 12% (Frontline). The most common reason why
people drop out of school was tied between could not keep up with school work and a job and lack of
parent engagement . Seven out of the ten believe that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I did not realize how careful you have to be when writing the questions because originally I thought
that if I understand what the question is asking, everyone will understand too. However, each person
has a different perspective which is why there was a range of answers. I had to watch how I worded
each question, if I made them too confusing or led them on to a specific answer. I had to use different
formats because multiple choice is not acceptable for every question. In addition, for the available
answers, I had to make sure they were as simple as possible in order not confuse the testers. I learned
that the survey display is very important to how the question is interpreted; the multiple choice
questions made them feel overwhelmed even though those are the best way to give a simple survey.
For the most part the questions were clear and the collected responses supported the concept I was
interested about. If I could improve how the survey was given for next time, I would have a larger and
more diverse audience. I would also change the number answers to make them more friendly because
those questions tripped people up. The environment where the survey was administered was not
distracting. I used my common room when it was quiet and my room which allowed for the testers to

John Schoenherr s Owl Moon
Owl Moon written by Jane Yolen and illustrated by John Schoenherr, takes the reader for a winter
walk through the woods on a moonlit night. Father and son trudge slowly and silently through a snow
covered forest in hopes of finding owls. It is a story of patience, perseverance, but most of all hope.
When you go owling you don t need words or warm or anything but hope .
The illustrations for Owl Moon are done by John Schoenherr. The illustrator chose pen with
watercolors on d Arches paper. D Arches paper is a natural grain which resembles handmade paper.
This paper creates resistance to scratching and clarification of colors. The illustrator clearly shows his
love for wildlife and details. Schoenherr s illustrations make us feel that ... Show more content on

Older students can dissect an owl pellet. We can take the lesson further and explore what animals stay
in the winter and how they survive. Since this is a story of what a boy did with his father, perhaps the
students can discuss or write about an activity they have done with a parent, grandparent, or friend. I
remember writing a short story when I was seven, about snowmobiling with my grandfather. I drew a
picture with the story; I think my mother laminated it.
I chose Owl Moon because it reminded so much of where I live. Although I have never been on an
owling , I have had many opportunities to hear them. The words of the author and the illustrator
transported me to our meadow path. Our feet crunched over the crisp snow , reminds me when my
mother, sisters and I went to the meadow to make plaster of paris molds of deer prints.
Jane Yolen is an author and editor of over 280 children s books, Owl Moon being one of her most
notable works. Yolen graduated from Smith College and at the age of 22 published her first book
called, Pirates in Petticoats . Jane has been nominated many times as a finalist for the Nebula Award.
On an interesting note, Yolen wrote a book in 1991, called Wizard s Hall. Her hero was called Henry
who had a red headed best friend and a girl also as his best friend. They lived at a wizard school that
included talking pictures, etc. Yolen commented about J.K. Rowlings, I m

The Underground Railroad Essay
History and Literary Thinking Underground Railroad The Underground Railroad was located in the
American South. A system created to free slaves in the American South, but it was not actually a
railroad or underground it was a secret pathway that slaves took to escape from their master. This
pathway that the runaway slave took was very secret. They would know when to go out to the railroad
because of the songs that they sung. The Underground Railroad not only helped black slaves but also
poor white slaves (Snodgrass). Some of the most important people, who helped with the Underground
Railroad, risked their lives to free black and white slaves from slavery because they had experienced
slavery themselves and understood the value of freedom. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For Harriet working on the plantation was very hard, she was hired as a laborer when she was five
years old. Harriet s least favorite place to work was indoors, in her early teen years Harriet was no
longer allowed to work indoors so she was hired to be a field hand. Her masters routinely beat and
whipped her. In 1844 Tubman married a free black man named John Tubman. Five years later in 1849
her main fear at the time was when the owner of the Broads Plantation died, many of the slaves were
scheduled to be sold soon. After Tubman heard about the future in the new plantation she was
supposed to go to. That night Harriet had planned to escape but only told her sister because her
husband could not have kept her escape a secret. Harriet took a ninety mile trip to the mason Dixon
line with the help from the Underground Railroad and the conductors. (Sahlman.) Tubman had a very
successful and safe trip she settled in Philadelphia. A year later Tubman went back to rescues her sister
s family and her husband but it turned out that her husband had moved on and gotten married. In 1857,
Tubman settled with her parents in Auburn, New York. When she helped out with the Underground
Railroad she was nicknamed the Moses of her time. Tubman made nineteen trips on the underground
saving about three hundred slaves all by her self. When she was a conductor she had very good tactics

Personaltive Of Personal Narrative
Personal Narrative I heard them fighting every night, endless and endless rage at each other. I just hid
in my room and pretended it wasn t happening in my world. Hiding was the only way to escape the
fear I felt every night. Once I said Dad, why do you and Mom yell at each other? He replied with go to
your room and don t ask that again. A seven year old couldn t understand this and needed help but
with no way to learn all I could do was watch as their marriage fell crumbling to the ground.
After that is when the beating started, slowly at first, but progressively it got worse and worse. He
would come in after a fight and hit me out of frustration. I always tried to hide but he always knew
where to look. He said If you tell anyone, I ll kill you. I never once doubted it, so I never told anyone.
For the next six months I was under his rule, I had no control over how hard or how long he beat me
for. I prayed to god so many times, but he never answered. An idol is only as good as you see it as. My
father used to be my idol but after that started I was afraid being near him. I could not tell anyone, I
had no one to help me. I was trapped against a monster that I could not fight.
On my eighth birthday my dad came up to me and stated plainly We re leaving, pack up your stuff and
don t tell your mother. So I went upstairs and started to pack, but I couldn t fit all of my toys in the bag
so I shouted Mom, would you help me pack? My father thundered upstairs looking

A Short Note On Diabetes And Its Effect On The Patient...
Gout is a condition of the joint that causes the patient severe pain. It is characterized by an increase of
uric acid in the blood that lasts for some time. This elevation of uric acid in the blood is called
hyperuricemia. In normal development, uric acid is chemical that is produced in the body. This
chemical is created when the body breaks down substances called purines. Normally, uric acid
dissolves in the blood and is excreted by the kidneys and passes through the urine. If the patient s
body produces an excess of uric acid or doesn t remove enough if it, they can get sick. However, not
all patients that have elevated uric acid levels will develop gout (Edwards, 2013). Under excretion or

some renal and cardiovascular diseases, and diabetes. Some medications can also affect a gouty flare

Surgical procedures and trauma to the joints can also cause a gouty flare up (Finney, 2014). Gout

then will have symptoms free periods of time even though the uric acid levels in the blood continue to
be elevated. Some patients can also present with no symptoms at all. In the second stage, the patient
will start to experience acute arthritis that has a sudden onset usually within six to twelve hours. The
flare ups of gout tend to be located in the small joints like the fingers, wrists, elbows, and knees. The
most common flare up symptoms can usually be found in the patient s great toe. If the patient doesn t
treat seek treatment the flare ups can last anywhere from seven to ten days. Symptoms that the patient
can experience besides painful, swollen joints are chills, headaches, and weakness. At this point the
patient can still experience symptom free periods and this is stage three, or interval gout. However if
the gout continues to be left untreated, the time in between will be decreased. The body will also start

The United States Foreign Policy
The United States Foreign policy in the Middle East
Since the United States became the world s sole superpower, the Middle East has been seen as the
most troublesome region in the world by US politicians. This view emanates from all the conflicts
going in the Middle East that have the potential to threaten numerous strategic interests for the united
Stated such as oil, terrorist, and Israel. Yet Middle East has never seen as problematic as it is now due
to the excessive flux of problems the Middle East is struggling with. This increasingly conflicting
nature of the region demands the US policymakers to reevaluate American policy in the Middle East
to secure US interests. Unfortunately, American policy in the past three decades toward the ... Show

In the Persian Gulf, Britain protected Saudi Arabia and the other small states in the Arabian Peninsula
especially when they became oil producers. British paid Jordan s bills, supplied, and ran the army
during 1950s . London backed North Yemen to combat the rising threat of Egypt in the Arabian
Peninsula to Iraq s designs on Kuwait.
British view of the region was not the favorite to Americans. The United States prevented France and
Britain from overthrowing Gamal Abd al Nasser in 1956. In part for that reason, when Britain
announced its withdrawal from East of Suez in 1971, Eisenhower Administration was reluctant to their
place.
The United States tried to invest into regional proxies primarily Israel, Iran, and Saudi Arabia to serve
protecting Western interests in the region. But in 1979, Shah of Iran was overthrown and replaced
Ayatollah Khomeini. The threat his revolutionary Iranian state posed to American allies across the
region led the United States to become militarily involved in the Persian Gulf for the first time, a
commitment expanded when Iran s defeat (with American assistance) in the Iran Iraq War created the
opportunity for Saddam Hussain to invade Kuwait and pose a threat to the region s vital oil exports.
Indeed, in the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks, George Bush Administration tried to eliminate some of the
region s problems perpetually by military

Analysis Of Mud By Maria Irene Fornes
Mud (1983) is one of Maria Irene Fornes s best plays. Like Fefu and her Friends, it is set in the
preindustrial society (Savaran 2012, 56); the incidents take place in a small unnamed rural town in the
1930s when feminism was not firmly established, and women were struggling to get their rights. The
play revolves around three characters, Mae, the only female character in the play, and two male
characters, Lloyd, her illiterate foster brother and former boyfriend, and Henry, her neighbour and new
boyfriend. The society in which Mae lives is a patriarchal one where she was previously dominated by
her father and later by Lloyd. In such a society women are considered subordinate to and of lower
rank than men. They are looked upon as ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Explaining her relationship with Lloyd to Henry, Mae says: He [Lloyd] has always been here since he
was little. My dad brought him in. He said that Lloyd was kind and that he would keep me company.
He said he was old and tired [...]. My dad was good but he was sad and hopeless and when my mom
died he went to hell with himself. He got sick and died and he left Lloyd here [...]. I don t know what
we are. We are related but I don t know what to call it. We are not brother and sister. We are like
animals who grow up and mate. (Fornes, Mud 1986, 28)
Both Mae and Lloyd suffer from poverty. However, Lloyd is careless; he mindlessly looks after their
pig and farms the land. He is highly dependent on Mae; besides, he is satisfied with his own status. On
the other hand, Mae toils in ironing clothes in order to support herself and Lloyd; she is the sole
breadwinner of the family. Additionally, she prepares food. Mae is unsatisfied with her own
conditions; she yearns to improve herself and her life, and plans to escape from the sexual and
economic exploitation of Lloyd. She is aware that her aspirations can be achieved through education.
Consequently, she attends literacy classes at a school; she as Mala Renganathan expresses it, dreams
of educating herself and making herself literate (2010, 8). Lloyd is entirely unlike Mae, he is not eager
to learn and improve himself;

The Relevance of Behavioral Psychology to Instructional Technology
Behavioral Psychology Defined
John Watson wrote a paper in the Psychological Review in 1913 and defined behavioral psychology or
behaviorism as
...a purely objective experimental branch of natural science. Its theoretical goal is the prediction and
control of behavior. Introspection forms no essential part of its methods, nor is the scientific value of
its data dependent upon the readiness with which they lend themselves to interpretation in terms of
consciousness. The behaviorist in his efforts to get a unitary scheme of animal response recognizes no
dividing line between man and brute (Reynolds, Sinatra, Jetton 95).
Essentially Watson s views supported the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Lastly the concept of functionalism states when people think or act they do so for a purpose or
function (Alberto Troutman 30). Thus behavioral psychology becomes a science emphasizing a
practical and observable approach (Alberto Troutman 30).
There are many behavioral psychologists that have contributed to the field.
John Watson s definition provided the foundation for Ivan Pavlov and B.F. Skinner. Their work has
been extremely beneficial to the development of psychology and education.
Ivan Pavlov earned a Nobel Peace Price for his research on respondent conditioning. It was by chance
that this discovery was made. He was studying the behavior of dogs in his laboratory. If his assistant
who fed the dogs came into the laboratory when Pavlov was studying the dog s stomach, the dog
began to secrete gastric liquids, just as if they had been given food. Pavlov deemed this a psychic
secretion and noted that this reaction affected the whole digestive system, starting with the flow of
saliva in the mouth as well as the secretion of acids in the stomach (Alberto Troutman 31). His peers
discouraged him from pursuing this research, but he continued. His experiment involving the dogs
included pairing food powder (which starts salivation an automatic reflex) with a tone or noise that
would normally have no affect on a dog s

  • 2. The Psychosocial Impact of Psoriasis, a Skin Condition Don t judge a book by its cover is one of the greatest known metaphorical phrases in human history. People constantly identify with and attempt to apply the concept in everyday life; yet our society has constructed a paradigm in which the perfection of your skin predetermines your social interactions in life. Likewise it is important to comprehend that it is not only on the side of society s judgements which determines your interactions, but it is also that of the lowered self esteem of the individual. To garner apposite knowledge, the task at hand required the interviewing of a person with a skin condition with the aim to internalise and reflect upon the biopsychosocial as well as cultural impacts of the illness. I was lucky enough to have the privilege of interviewing Jane Doe, a 20 year old white female with a history of psoriasis since age five. I was introduced to Jane through a close friend and entering into a professional relationship, she agreed to help me in my endeavour. Drawing on the principles of interviewing I ensured that it was a quiet, confidential and comfortable space1; thus it took place in her home. Jane has had a difficult beginning in life as psoriasis a common, chronic immune mediated skin disease currently has no cure and is characterised by scaly, reddened patches, papules, and plaques, which usually itch.2 A difficult medical history The difficulty to comprehend living with a disease characterised by such vivid visual aspects is beyond ... • 3. Ordinary People Interestingly, this documentary is based on the lives of five individuals and their experiences with Russia s transition that came from the collapse of the Soviet Union. Moreover, four of the five people have known each other from childhood and lived in similar circumstances under the authoritarian rule. I will be focusing on how Olga, Andrei, Borya and Lyuba who are ordinary citizens have managed to live under an authoritarian rule. To begin with, USSR was the union of 15 socialist republic that included: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belorussia, Estonia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kirgiziya Latvia, Lithuania, Moldavia, Russia,Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan. Without a doubt, USSR adopted a authoritarian regime in which it the socialist had the ultimate ownership in all areas of manufacture, distribution, and trade. This centralized economic system lasted from 1922 until 1991 and it function under the Communist party. The philosophy behind this authoritarian regime derived from Marxism Leninism in which it valued and pushed for a one party state. The main theme behind this documentary is about the experiences of five people that were greatly affected by the political change. • 4. Urban Environment Is The Natural, Built And Institutional... Urban Environment is the natural, built and institutional elements that determine the physical, mental and social health and wellbeing of people who live in cities and towns. The urban environment is more than a physically defined entity. It includes the environmental and ecological context, psycho social structures and supports, and patterns of migration as well as all aspects of the geography and politics of cities. Hence, governance arrangements, cultural identities and related activities, housing and urban form, education, food security, health services, land use and tenure, transport, water, crime and exposure to pollutants and extreme weather events are all dimensions of urban life that are properly included in a focus on health in a changing urban environment. (Chen, 2011) Happiness The quantitative analysis of happiness by social scientists has resulted in the development of sophisticated scales to measure individual and collective norms that include satisfaction with life as a whole as well as with various domains of life, such as health and income. And there are a number of on going surveys that attempt to measure happiness, one being the Australian Unity Wellbeing Index, which has been measuring the happiness of Australians since April 2001 (see Cummins et al. 2003). It uses the Subjective Wellbeing Homeostasis management system, which suggests that we hold happiness within a relatively narrow range of values. It has been shown to be resilient. It would seem ... Some estimates claim up to 25% of dogs registered in the American Kennel Club have some genetic complication. (Lemonick, np.) Since American Kennel Club breed standards only pertain to physical appearance, dogs with unseen problems are allowed to pass on these defects, so long as exteriorly they conform to expectations. Because if this, vast amounts of medical conditions are becoming increasingly common among registered dogs. As the arbiter of purebred dog breeding, the American Kennel Club has a heightened responsibility to help protect the health of the breeds they represent. Despite this, the ... Their eyes were less bugged . They had longer legs, and a slimmer body. All of these features contributed to avoiding the health problems common today. By looking at how pugs have appeared in the past, and revising the breed standard with those historical examples in mind, the American Kennel Club can strike a happy medium between modern aesthetics and historic health. In this essay I intend to discuss how Aeschylus presents Clytaemnestra in the Oresteia and how he marks the extent to which traits of Clytaemnestra s character remain defiantly unchanged as she manipulates events and characters around her. Clytaemnestra is the only character who appears in all three plays in the trilogy, but despite her immense stage presence she remains a troublesome character to interpret due to the highly ambiguous nature of her words. I intend to show that the key to unlocking Clytaemnestra s manly heart lies in the fact that she hated Agamemnon, not simply because he had killed her child, nor because she loved Aegisthus, but out of a jealousy that was not a jealously of Cassandra, but of Agamemnon himself and his ... Haruo Konishi believes that `both the Watchman and Messenger were hired by the adulterous couple (69), however there appears insubstantial textual evidence to support his claim that `Clytaemnestra s heart is counselled by a man...Aegisthus asserts that he alone did all the planning (41). This means that the commands the audience hear Clytaemnestra delivering to every character she encounters are all of her own accord. Clytaemnestra even commands the chorus of slave women in Libation Bearers who furiously hate her. Although the Chorus are unwilling to perform the libations to appease Agamemnon s soul on behalf of the `godless woman (Lib. 34), they do not oppose her wishes despite believing the ritual hypocritical and futile: `What can redeem the blood that wets the soil? • 8. Essay about America and the Normandy Invasion The year was 1944, and the United States had now been an active participant in the war against Nazi Germany for almost three and a half years. During this time, numerous battles had occurred which were fought with determination and intensity on both sides. Amongst the many invasions of World War II, there is one day which stands out more in the minds of many American soldiers than the others. That day was June 6, 1944, more commonly known as D Day, part of the invasion of Normandy, known as Operation Overlord. This operation was the largest amphibious assault in history. It has also described the successfulness this tutoring program has become for students participants as well as the success the teacher has in her classroom. In order to reach conclusions regarding the successfulness of the program and the attitude of (H) regarding the program, data from the interview must be collected and analyzed appropriately. Qualitative data collection and analysis is appropriate for an interview because it is not using numerical data but instead descriptive narrative and visual information. Interviews allow the researcher to get more information about the study that observation alone will not achieve. Gay Mills (2016) suggested, Interviews provide information that is inaccessible through observation (p. 550). During the interview, the researcher must take notes and/or record the verbal interaction taking place between the interviewer and interviewee. If the interview is recorded, one must have it transcribed in order to properly and easily collect important data necessary to the research. As part of qualitative data collection and analysis, it is important to identify themes and code pieces of data from the interview transcript. While this statement can be true for the population of privileged white people, Canada, unfortunately, has had some unproud moments in its history, and sadly, the treatment of minorities is still poor today. Specifically, there has been historic problems between Canada and indigenous people, from as early as the colonization of the land stolen from the indigenous people to the assimilation of youth with residential schools. Culhane (2003) claimed that in East Vancouver alone, a minimum of 61 women has been reported missing since 1983. When these reports were made to the local police, they were ignored and not taken seriously which contradicts the duties that the police service should provide. Attention was not brought to these reports until the Philip Owens, Vancouver mayor, ordered the police to investigate these concerns (Culhane 2003). After the local forces took control and started investigating, this issue started getting more and more coverage in academics, and media, convicts were finally being arrested for their wrongdoing. While this action did not solve the problem, it was successful in initiating a conversation that was not previously had, which was a significant movement for acknowledging the crisis. • 13. The Effects of Advertising on Teens The effects of 2 People see advertisements all around the globe that attempt to lure consumers to buy products. Advertisements are placed in newspapers, magazines, schools, and on billboards everywhere. According to marketing consultants Stan Rapp and Tom Collins, on a typical day, an average American sees over 5,000 advertisements a day (Gay, 1992). Many questions arise about these advertisements, such as Is advertising deceptive? Does it create or perpetuate stereotypes? Does it create conformity? Does it create insecurity in order to sell goods? Does it cause people to buy things that they really don t need? (Alexander Hanson, 1993, p. 240). Advertisers use specific methods to target teen consumers, but these methods are not always ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... For example, beer commercials often show a man after a hard day s work enjoying an ice cold beer to relax him. They also argue that ads give people the impression that products can give them talent. Take athletics, for example. Nike ads are accused of implying that their shoes will give a consumer athletic ability. Michael Jordan is shown in a television commercial dunking a basketball, wearing a new style of Nike shoes. Consequently, kids are going to want the same pair to be like Mike (Wolf, 1998, n.p.). On the other hand, advertising agencies say that they just give the consumers up to date information. They show change in their ads because they know that is what consumers want and to fulfill the needs of the general public, change. Thus, persuasive strategies are considered techniques used by advertisers to get consumers to buy. Teenagers have become top consumers in today s society, so advertisers have focused on getting their business. According to Simmons Market Research Bureau of New York City, teens bought 25% of all movie tickets and 27% of all videos, totaling $6.6 billion. In 1998, teens spent $1.5 billion on jeans, almost twice as much as in 1990, and $3 billion on sneakers, almost four times more than the amount spent in 1997 (Tulley, 1994). • 18. Rhetorical Analysis Of The Novel The use of irony in the novel also contributes to its postmodernism. Many postmodernists treat serious subjects jovially to distance themselves from the difficult subject. They evoke black humor and different types of irony to offer critics of society and to display how society should not fear dark and somber things. DeLillo sprinkles irony all throughout his story using it even at the most serious of times. He uses it to show how the characters should not fear death and how the characters ignore danger when the smoke alarm went off in the hallway upstairs, either to let us know the battery had just died or because the house was on fire (8) and they did nothing about the possible imminent danger. DeLillo also uses irony to mock certain characters and expose the ridiculousness of certain beliefs and customs. When Jack s boss advises him to change his name and appearance to gain more prestige, the change they make is pretentious as it is the same name only without one letter, we finally agreed that I should event an extra initial and call myself J.A.K Gladney (16). DeLillo continues to ridicule society and its principles by exposing absurdity such as Jack not knowing German despite being the founder of Hitler studies and his college requiring all Hitler majors to understand some of the language, I had long tried to conceal the fact that I did not know German (31). Waldenstrom Macroglobulinemia Essay Waldenstrom macroglobulinemia (WM), also known as lymphoplasmacytic lymphoma, is a type of low grade non Hodgkin lymphoma characterized by bone marrow infiltration with lymphomasmacytic cells. WM was named after Jan Waldenstrom, a Swedish doctor who came across the disease and labeled the disorder in 1944. It is an incurable, rare disease affecting 1 in 3 million people with a medial life span of 5 9 years after it is diagnosed. The cause of this disease is unknown but recent indications and research show that the cause can be due to changes in the DNA. Effective treatments are traditional chemotherapy agents such as chlorambucil, cyclophosphamide and melphalan. These can be given as a single agent or combination with others such as rituximab. This monoclonal antibody has been found to be effective. Because WM is a rare disease, there are minimal research trials to support this disease. But none the less, there are clinical trials available. Ongoing research has introduced new therapies including inhibitors and alkylating agents. These ongoing clinical trials have shown that when compared to conventional chemotherapy agents, can not only treat the symptoms of the disease, but also continue to further medicine s knowledge as to patient s prognosis while providing patients increased therapeutic efficacy, longer remissions and most important, a better quality of life. Stem cell transplant is also an option. But her achievement as the very first Indian woman to ever single handedly direct a movie is engraved in stone, and will always be. The year was 1926, at a time when world cinema was still experimenting with the science and technology of motion pictures. Indian cinema had already taken long strides by then, but produced only acting roles for women. Yet, breaking the mould, Fatma Begum established her own production company Fatma Films and went on to direct Bulbule Paristan! Perhaps without even realising the effect of her achievement, Fatma laid the foundation stone for a generation of women, who sought to be employed by the burgeoning film industry in a role other than that of an actress. The Southern film industry encompassing three major languages: Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada did not see its own female driven films until the 1960s, when Savitri Ganesan the spouse of the iconic Gemini Ganesan directed Chinnari Papalu.
