The Glass Menagerie was a well written novel that I enjoyed because of all the different aspects
of the characters lives and views of things. For example Laura an older single mother who wants
the best for her two grown children Laura who is 23 years old and Tom who is the older brother.
There father Mr. Wingfield abandoned them for long distance traveling and never came back so
Laurais taking care of them on her own. Her daughter Laura is shy and quiet girl who has a

I watched all of THE BOOZE HANGS HIGH, RED HOT RIDING HOOD, MONKEY
DOODLE, FAST AND FURRY OUS, and AN OPTICAL POEM. These animations were very
different from the likes of Disney. I noticed that almost all of these animations were meant for
adults definitely not children. I also realized that the animation styles were different from
Disney. Pigs drinking booze, Red Riding Hood as a burlesque singer, lustful monkeys looking at
naked female monkeys with proper human anatomy, Road Runner being blown to smithereens
by Coyote. Just think about all the scenes I just described. Would you want your children being
exposed to these things? I believe most commendable parents even nowadays would say HELL
NO!! I was baffled and surprised at how cartoons of this time were not meant for kids. This
seemed so backward to me, growing up watching LOONEY TOONS as a kids show. I think that

depressed wife, who wrote ten short entries in a secret journal. In the narrative, the wife s physician
and husband diagnose her with temporary nervous depression (Stetson 648). The narrative took
place in the 1900 s when there were minimal treatments to cure nervous depression. The husband
was a dominant physician in the story who believed that bed rest and the minimum amount of daily
activity would cure the wife s state of depression. The failed treatments to cure what was assumed
to be nervous depression later caused the wife to lose her sanity, emotional stability, and mental
focus toward the end of the story. There are a plethora of different depression stages whose
symptoms match the wife s, but the closest type of depression associated with her symptoms would
be postpartum depression and postpartum psychosis. If not treated correctly, postpartum depression
can lead to a more severe type of depression called postpartum psychosis, which causes the patient

Cerebral Circulation
A constant flow of blood to the brain is vital to its proper functioning. Blood supplies the brain
with oxygen and to perform maximally the brain requires about 25% of the body s oxygen (Webb,
2016). Lack of oxygen for a prolonged period results in cell death causing irreversible damage to
the brain. Two paired arteries, four total, supply the vital source of blood to the brain and spinal
cord.
Arterial Structures
Blood supply to the brain is divided between the internal carotid arteries (ICA) and the vertebral
arteries. As stated in Cippola s text, the right and left ICA from the bifurcations of the common
carotid arteries and the ICA itself also split in the anterior and middle cerebral arteries. Its primary
function is to supply blood to the cerebrum. The vertebral arteries originate from the subclavian
artery and then join distally to form the basilar artery , (Cipolla, 2009). The basilar artery later
bifurcates into two posterior cerebral arteries , these arteries supply the inferolateral surface of
the temporal lobe and the lateral and medial surfaces of the occipital lobe, (Webb, 2016). While
the ICA mainly provides blood to the cerebrum, the vertebral arteries are the primary supply to
brain stem and cerebellum. The ICA and the vertebral arteries join together to form what is known

While selecting the sample for the interviews, there were two major sets of decisions that had to be
made at the outset: (1) deciding on who to interview, and (2) what questions to ask. In regards to
selecting the sample, since this question was set out in order to see the connection of internal and
external influences in students making decisions in university, it only seemed appropriate that the
interviewsample consisted of university students. As such, university students were considered the
units of analysis for this study. Five students were selected using the purposive sampling technique
known as criterion sampling. Criterion sampling was used because in order to be eligible for the
interview, the participants had to meet the certain criteria of: having to be either a university student
, or a former university student (within three years of graduation), and had to have been enrolled in
university for at least three terms. These requirements were set in order to establish an optimal
sampling frame for the interviews. Using a non probabilistic sampling technique allows the
researcher to make subjective judgements that would aid in their endeavors in proving their
hypothesis. Rather than using random selection found in probabilistic sampling, non probabilistic
sampling allows for the research objectives to be best fulfilled by a strategically chosen sample

of the Gilgamesh story as three concentric circles: a story within a story within a story. In the outer
circle, a narrator prepares the audience for the primary narrative, contained within the second
circle: the tale of Gilgamesh s adventures. Within this second circle a third narrative, the flood
story, is told to Gilgamesh by Utanapishtim. Ovid s Metamorphoses is told in a similar way: Ovid
