The Bolsheviks and Marxism
Analyzing the Bolshevik State compared to Marxism can be difficult because Marx, Engels and
their followers gave relatively little thought to what the state would look like after a socialist
revolution. Engels famously wrote, the state is not abolished, it withers away, which highlights the
hazy and unfixed nature of Marx and Engle s writings on the ultimate, classless society they
envisioned. Further, what they did write is subject to the differing interpretations by numerous
socialist parties all claiming to be Marxist. As discussed earlier, Lenin claimed he simply reshaped
Marxismto fit the conditions of Russia. Others argue his interpretation was not true Marxism at all.
However, the basic principles of a socialist state in the eyes of Marx s are outlined in the
Communist Manifesto as follows: 1. Abolition of property in land and application of all rents of
land to public purposes.

2. A heavy progressive or graduated income tax.

3. Abolition of all rights of inheritance.

4. Confiscation of the property of all emigrants and rebels.

5. Centralization of credit in the hands of the state, by means of a national bank with State capital
and an exclusive monopoly.

6. Centralization of the means of communication and transport in the hands of the State.

7. Extension of factories and instruments of production owned by the State; the bringing into
cultivation of waste lands, and the improvement of the soil generally in accordance with a common
plan.

Alternative Sources Of Energy Sources
Abstract
This report is on Alternative Energy Sources of Nuclear, Solar, Wind, and Hydroelectric
energies. It is an exploration of why are they termed non renewable. Additionally, I will address
the questions for each of the four type s nuclear, solar, wind, and hydroelectric, how is it
generated and what technology is required. I will also explore the advantages and disadvantages
to the use of alternative sources as energy sources. Finally, I will address the specific
environmental impacts of the generation, distribution and use of alternative sources as energy
sources as well as the specific social, economic, and political impacts of the generation, distribution
and use of alternative sources as energy sources.
Alternative energy encompasses energy that does not consume fossil fuel. This form of energy is
known as renewable energy. Renewable energy is friendly to our environment and available to us.
Additionally, they cause little or no pollution. Nuclear, Solar, wind and hydroelectric energy are
forms of alternative or renewable energy that will be discussed here. The more that we become
aware of alternative energy projects, the more we may reduce our dependence on traditional fossil
fuels.
The first form of alternative energy that will be explored is Nuclear energy. It is a very clean and
efficient form of energy that is actually used by boing water to create steam. Using steam, power
plants convert heat into electricity which drive turbine generators. As the

Examples Of Companionship In Frankenstein
Companionship vs. Loneliness: Characters tend to want companionship but are driven to
loneliness. What are examples of this? What makes them solitary? Is it something in their
personality or actions? Does anyone find true companionship? After reading Frankenstein, I
chose to write about companionship vs. loneliness. One example of companionship is Victor and
his family. According to the text, Much as they were attached to each other, they seemed to draw
inexhaustible stores of affection from a very mine of love to bestow them upon me. My mother s
tender caresses, and my father s smile of benevolent pleasure while regarding me, are my first
recollections (Chapter 1). While it is true that Victor was an only child for several years, he was

The Importance Of The Death Penalty
An intense debate over the death penalty has prevailed among Americans for the past decades. The
death penalty is the execution of a person by judicial process as punishment to commit serious
crimes. However, is the death penalty a fair form of punishment? Data from several studies have
clearly shown that it is a completely cruel and wrongful method of punishment. Capital punishment
disproportionately targets disadvantaged communities and therefore puts innocent lives at risk. In
many cases, the same punishments were not ordered for similar crimes but rather depended on the
social status of the accused and the accuser. However, many supporters who want to keep the death
penalty are often supposed that the death penalty can deter potential offenders from criminal
activity. While this argument seems initially convincing, it is simply a hypothetical assertion that s
not supported by any facts. So far, there has been no systematic analysis to verify this argument.
Collectively, the death penalty system lacks fairness, integrity, and effectiveness; such a system
should be abolished until the United States can achieve fairness and consistency in the
administration of the death penalty.
The death penalty is applied in an arbitrary and discriminatory manner. The poor people are far
more likely to receive the death penalty than wealthy people. One of the reasons is that poor
people cannot afford their own attorney, so all they depend on are the lawyers assigned by the
state. However,

New Financial Institutions Of The United States Financial...
New Financial Institutions
Restrictions on the number of new financial services institutions allowed to enter the industry each
year are needed to protect the integrity and stability of consumers cash and deposits, as well as
outstanding loans and credit. Although many are private companies, financial institutions have a
very public purpose, which is why federal regulations are needed. The safety and security of the
financial institution is an important part of the overall financial system. Federal guidelines with
capital structure requirements and market entry limits protect consumers from losing their money
or assets to institutions who are not adequately funded to maintain business through times of
financial downturn (Northeast Decision Sciences Institute, 2013). Barriers to entry in the United
States financial services industry is needed and necessary to protect the American consumer and the
American financial market from both foreign and domestic financial services companies.
Regulating the entry of new financial services companies, whether foreign or domestic based, also
helps establish a level playing field for new and existing companies within the regulatory system
(McDonough, 1993).
Conversely, open entry to the financial services industry would increase market competition among
all institutions. This would help keep all financial services companies striving for new products and
technology advances in order to maintain and grow their market share. Regulations that

Nar Code Of Ethics Essay
On May 12, 1908, NAR was not known as it is, before it was NAREE, National Association of
Real Estate Exchanges. 120 founding member, 19 boards and one state association meet at the
YMCA auditorium in Chicago, IL. In 1912, a group of local board secretaries formed the first
specialty division of NAR, known as the Association of Secretaries of the National Association
of Real Estate Boards. During 1913, the Code of Ethics was adopted, the theme was the Golden
Rule. The Code of Ethics has seventeen articles, nine are for duties to clients and customers, five
are for duties to the public, and the last three are about the duties to REALTORS. For example, the
first article is When representing a buyer, seller, landlord, tenant, or other client as an agent,
REALTORSВ® pledge themselves to protect and promote the interests of their client. This
obligation to the client is primary, but it does not relieve REALTORSВ® of their obligation to treat

The History of Tattoos
The Beginning of Tattoos
Different cultures tattoo for different reasons like, protection, rank in society, adornment of the
body and coming of age. Regardless of why people are tattooed, they have been tattooing since
before the birth of Christ. Throughout history tattooing has served many purposes. The earliest
evidence of tattooing was found in 1991 in the mountains of Austria. An Iceman was found, his
bones dated back to 3,300 B.C. which is over 5300 years ago. His skin had signs of blue tattoos.
The scientists did not understand the reasons for his tattoos, but counted fifty eight in total. (Wiman
Rudzinski, 2002) Egypt is generally accepted as the birth place of tattoos. Tattoos were widely

Tribal tattoos have been used for many reasons. They were used to promote a relationship with a
god, and to help then get to the proper spirit world. Tribes also thought that tattoos would give
them an advantage when they arrive to the spirit world. Most of the primitive tribes used some
form of tattoos, scarification or body painting. For the Samoan men tattooing was a right of
passage to manhood. Typical the men were tattooed on the inner and outer thigh area to look like
clothing. If a boy did not have the tattoos they were not given the same respect as a man with
tattoos. They could not speak; they could not marry and were not allow doing certain jobs. When
missionaries arrived in Polynesian lands they tried to get the Samoans to refrain from tattooing
because Christianity frowned upon it. The missionaries wanted the Samoans to live by Christ
word but instead they added it to their culture. To this day tattooing is highly respected in the
Samoans culture. In Tonga is where the Samoans and the Polynesians tattooed. Tattooing was a
way of life to the Polynesians, they were tattooing even before the Europeans came to the South
Pacific. The Polynesians and Samoans had some of the most skillful and intricate tattoos in the
entire world. The tattoos typically stood for their religious beliefs and for warfare. Most of their
tattoos were geometric shapes. They were tattooed in a way so they could

Oklahoma City Zoo Research Paper
The Oklahoma City Zoo first opened its doors at Wheeler Park in 1902. It started out as a small
exhibition when they received their first animal donation, a deer fawn. Of course, people flocked
to the zoo. They were amazed that they could stand a few feet away from a live animal without
fearing for their lives. By 1909, the Oklahoma City Zoohad over 100 animals. The zoo was a
triumph! Unfortunately, disaster struck in 1923. A disastrous and tragic flood had occurred at
Wheeler Park and caused the zoo to move to Lincoln Park. The very next year, a fatal fire spread
throughout Lincoln Park. Miraculously, many small areas of the park survived the fire. However,
the zoo was reconstructed on another 17 acres at the park. A director was also hired and new
exhibits were built including the Botanical Garden and the Zoo Amphitheatre. The Oklahoma City
Zoo also acquired a nursing home for the little ones. From that point on, the Oklahoma City Zoo

The Truth Of Auschwitz Concentration Camp
A large proportion of stories and poems that describe the truth of Auschwitz concentration camp are
written by the survivors who gets out of there. The author Tadeusz Borowski, who have been
through the deadly gas situation and he used his pen to telling people what truly happened in
Auschwitz. Just like what he mentioned in the short story, There can be no beauty if it is paid for
by human injustice, nor truth that passes over injustice in silence, nor moral virtue that
condones it. , he is the one record and make known to the public to remain everyone, that wars
never bring us peace, no matter what kind of reasons that careerists are using to cover their
ambition and evilness. In the novel, Borowski was watching a train which has carried brunch of
prisoners like him. There are darkness and chaos inside of the transport, people are starving and
helpless, they knew they were going to the place where is going to be the end of their life but
killing them slowly. When the transport arrived, prisoners are running away from the transport
to breath fresh air; however, Borowski also seems people are scavenging and sourcing food from
new arriver . They don t care about people that are still alive or not, the only thing they are
focusing on is anything that can help them fight with starving, it doesn t matter if that food is out
of date or decaying. Borowski is comparing them as a pig, Pigs! Tomorrow half of them will die of

whether the process used is working well or presenting challenges. This paper analyzes the
collective data obtained from the completed microsystem assessment tool (MAT). As we know it,
microsystem is the logical ballgame for the connection between vision and transmission and thus
functions as the agent for change (Stanley, 2011).
Processes that are Working Well Based on page 11 12 of my MAT Core and Supporting Processess
that work well include Admission, Routine Care, Transfer from Inpatient, Discharge, Adverse Drug
Event, Code, Feeding Patients, Pain Management, Monitoring Confusion, At Risk for Falls, At

Processes that Present Challenges In contrast, the processes that present challenges, which can also
be found on the same page (11 12), consist of Medication Administration, Pharmacy Ordering,
Pharmacy Receiving, and Materials Equipment. Evidently, the medication administration is
seriously delayed in this case. This is why. As soon as the doctor has finished his evaluation, and as

Starry Night Research Paper
Everyone in their life might get a chance to experience an epic moment. Each person has their
own definition and reaction towards that epic moment. For me, the first time looked at Van

moment. Additionally, it is a moment where I got my first aesthetic experience. By looking at
Starry Night, I had my first own aesthetic experience. At the same time it is the most intensive
one in my life too. Even though I got many aesthetic experience after that, none of them can be
as intense as I responsed to Starry Night. I remenber it was a random day when I was studying in
junior high school. That day I went back to my school as usual but it was a bit different is that I
had my favorite Art class on that day. In Asia, nearly all the schools have the same dull education
system so having an Art class was the most exciting thing to me at that time. It is the only class I
can enjoy myself and do whatever I want. On that afternoon, our Art teacher showed us brunch of...

As the swamp is most vital to the species that live in it, the value of nature is most desperately felt
by the urgent parties indicating that humans, caught in the modern trend towards economical profit
and away from ecological ethics, have often failed to notice such vitality of nature to itself as well
as to other parties. However, Aldo Leopoldbrilliantly successes to break this common rule and spot
the importance of nature in A Sand Country Almanac. In A Sand Country Almanac, Leopold

is the space between cities on which crops grow... In short, land is something he has outgrown.
(Leopold, 293) There will an advancement in land ethics only when the individuals face direct

Sleep Deprivation And Sleep
Sleep is very important in a person s day to day activities. Sleep allows a person to be more aware
of their surrounding and allows one to use their minds to the highest potential. Unfortunately, there
are plenty of people due to their jobs or even by their own choices are sleep deprived. Sleep
deprivation can affect one s behavior and their cognitive functions in different ways. Goel pointed
out that deteriorate effects have been shown to involve vigilance, executive attention, working
memory, language, divergent thinking, and creativity (Maccari 2014). Much research has been
done on how sleep deprivationeffects brain functions and behavior. Many are not aware to what
extent the brain is effected by sleep deprivation and how one s behavior can drastically change.
In order to fully understand how one s mood is effected by sleep deprivation, one must first
understand how the brain functions during sleep. Rapid eye movement, or REM sleep, is one of
the phases that the brain goes through during sleep. During REM sleep, the eyes move back and
forth and it is believed this is due to the visual images that one is seeing in their dream. Jouvet
was the first to show that the brainstem is integral for the REM sleep stage, and the neural
circuits in the pons have also been studied thoroughly to see how it plays a role in the sleep
cycle. The medulla also contains neurons that are active during REM sleep. However, it is very
unclear how big of a role the medulla plays in the

mage fusion based on fuzzy sets
The fuzzy logic approach is widely used in image process ing. The fuzzy logic gives decision
rules and fusion motivation for image fusion [17]. the two inputs images are converted into
membership values based on a set of predefined MFs, where the degree of membership of each
input pixel to a fuzzy set is determined. Then, the fusion operators are applied to the fuzzified
images. The fusion results are then converted back into pixel values using defuzzification.

The new era of mass production kindled in the United States because of technological innovations,

investment. The growth of large scale industry in America had countless positive results, but also
negative results as well. Industrialization after the Civil War affected the United States in several

Second, the development of new public transit systems, was important in shaping the design of
our cities and the growth of our cities by enabling people to move further away from the inner
city. Early on, large cities didn t really have public transportation. Their main source of
transportation were horse drawn wagons and walking. In conclusion, most people lived near on
in the downtown area, where most of the working establishments were located. Because of this,
it made big cites crowed and congested. With the breakthrough of the el , electric streetcars, and
subways, around 1867, cities began expand more. Those who were fortunate enough to move
out of the dirty cities and into better neighborhoods surrounded outside the city, did so. The new
transit systems in most cities allowed people to escape the chaos of urban life and provided
potential for growth of our cities. The second major innovation is the telephone because it opened
up doors for everybody. The telephone allowed them to be connected to other parts of the world,
or their loved ones did not live in the same city. It permitted them to stay connected to relatives and

Theme Of A Clean Well-Lighted Place
When first reading Ernest Hemmingway s A Clean Well Lighted Place it seems to be nothing
more than a simple short story. But when looking deeper into the narrative one realizes how
meaningful and insightful this story truly is. It brings the readers to understand the dark reality
of life and different views between young and old. Hemingway sets an atmosphere of despair
and loneliness throughout the entire dialogue and monologue within. The story is an interaction
between two waiters, one old one young, within a cafГ© in Madrid, Spain. The two waiters
argue about an old regular of the cafГ©, who comes alone and drinks until closing time.
Throughout the story, the two men reflect on the nature of happiness and the inevitability of
death. The story exhibits how age has an immense effect on the way we observe life. In
Hemmingway s A Clean Well Lighted Place the age difference between these two colleagues
brings a difference in personality, values, and solidarity. A Clean, Well Lighted Place reflects on
differences of age and the personalities that go along with it. The older waiter is portrayed as an
unaccompanied, obscure, and isolated individual who feels his life is meaningless. The mature
waiter has much more sympathy for the old customer in the cafe because he understands his state
of mind. It is apparent that he has a deep appreciation and understanding of life. The personality and
emotions of the older waiter are contrasted with those of the younger waiter. The

La Siest A Known Component Of The Spanish Culture
La Siesta is a commonly known component of the Spanish culture. In seeking to strike a balance
between work and pleasure, for long Spaniards have practiced the traditional siesta. Professionals
along with students often return to their respective homes around noon for a couple of hours to rest
and enjoy familytime coupled with a heavy lunch. Most businesses will always shut down for a few
hours during this time. Conversely, the 21st century Spanish generation has slowly evaded this
cultural practice. Much as the big cities are constantly busy moving at faster paces similar to most
Western countries, smaller towns and villages nonetheless continue to take siestas as part of their
daily routine (Thyberg).
Attending Tapas: Tapa holds as one of the most famous Spanish traditions and a major tourist
attraction for centuries. However, Tapa has its roots from ancient Spain. Interestingly, Tapa is not
necessarily a specific food but a way of eating certain foods. They are always small portions of
food and can be any type of food packaged uniquely. Spanish terminology for Tapa is tapear and
going for Tapa hardly implies ordering several dishes in one particular restaurant, but bar hopping
from one restaurant to another eating a different Tapa for each round in every spot.
Spanish Flamenco: It s probably the most common and famous traditions in Spain but often
misunderstood by outsiders. To begin with, Flamenco is not actually a dancing style, although it

Women s Rights After 1848 Research Paper
In the year of 1848, about 240 men and women combines attended the Seneca Falls Convention.
They voted for decisions that demanded equality for women at work, at school, and at church.
There was only one decision at the convention that met with any resistance, and this was
demanding the women a right to vote. But, after hesitation and bold reformers, the decision nearly
passed. After 1848, women worked for change in many areas. They fought for additional legal
rights in some states and won the battle. For instance, in New York, the city passed a laws allowing
married women to keep their own property and wages once they married. Although this law passed,
many men and women opposed the women s rights movements and the struggle for equal rights

Calia Brown-Personal Narrative
By: Calia Brown
All you gotta do is open yo legs! Said the boy I had only seen a couple of times around school
before. I felt like my life was flashing before my eyes. I was hoping for this moment to end. The
smell of weed and cigs filled the air. It was a beautiful day outside and yet all I could hear was cars
and buses rushing by. This is how I knew no one would hear my cry for help.
Beep Beep Beep!!! Goes my alarm. It was time for school. Stuck in my bed not wanting to move
from this warm comfortable spot, I started digging at the crust in the corners of my eyes. The
smell of bacon filled the air in my room pushing me out of the bed and leading me to the hallway. I

lunch so this wasn t a big deal. As I head down the hallway and make my way to the second floor I
hear a loud Yo! coming from the opposite end of the hallway. By this time I was thinking the
hallway was empty because I was a minute late for class just because I took the long way there. I
turned around to see who was making the noise. It was one of the boys that wasn t even supposed

kept walking because my name wasn t yo so he couldn t have been talking to me. He ran up

worldwide, also bestselling, and influential rappers of all times. On September 7, 1996, Shakur
was fatally shot in drive by shooting in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was taken to Southern Nevada

weighed 215 pounds, but he actually was 5.10 and weighted 165 pounds. Many say no one really
saw Tupac in the hospital at all, so there was no autopsy. Legally an autopsy is required to be taken
right after death has occurred. Multiple stories upon Tupac s disappearance has cause many in
confusion and disappointment. Many confusion had lead that Tupac was rushed to the hospital by
an ambulance. Also, during an interview Suge Knight states that he took Tupac to the hospital

once said Yes I m alive and me missing you. On the other hand Jay Z and Kanye West were
questioned by a governmental group about a song they had recorded including a secret message
stating that they have killed Tupac. As we know that is just another murder confession that just

The Airport and Airway Act of 1982 chartered the FAA to address the growing aviation traffic
flying through major airports in the United States. The FAA generated the National Plan of

with NPIAS designation is Santa Monica Municipal Airport (SMO). Hence, even though not
categorized as a reliever airport, there may be some primary medium and small hub airports that
are still considered reliever airports for large hub

The Little Mermaid Play Analysis

5 November 2017
Play Analysis of The Little Mermaid At the end of September, I watched a play, The Little
Mermaid , by Linda Daugherty, and it was directed by Tim Matheny. This play was used as a
proscenium arch stage, and it was an educational theatre from Mississippi State University. Overall,
the play was well written and entertaining. It was also short and simple for the audience to
understand and enjoy. It was mainly based on a different version of Hans Christian Andersens The
Little Mermaid due violences and the tragic ending of Andresen s original version because the kids
were the target audience. For example, they didn t want to show the Sea Witch cut the little mermaid
s tongue, but they showed how Disney did it. Another example was they did a happy ending with
the little mermaid getting the prince instead of the prince marries a princess whom he believed that
she saved him from the storm, and the little mermaid dies. The play had some strengths, but there
were also a few flaws.
For directing, the play was mostly focused on in the sea and off the shore since it is about the
little mermaid. From the directing decision, the actors who played mermaids were moving back
and forth while standing which was weird because it was like if they were losing some balance.
It was probably to show that they are in the sea, which the movement was unnecessary. Maybe,
the director did it because it might have helped the kids visualize the setting better to prove that
they are in the sea. But, the director did well on having the border moving up and down during
the scene of the Prince s ship. The border were the waves which made the ship look like it was
sailing through the sea. That was an excellent choice from the director. For the acting, Luke
McFatrich played William and Austin Howeth played Timothy, who were the comedic characters
and friends with the Prince. These actors were chosen because they got the audience to laugh even
the kids thought they were hilarious. For example, they made some guest when the little mermaid,
who couldn t talk, was trying to communicate. Those actors had no flaw because they kept the play
entertaining. Also, Alyssa Parrish did a

Dental Implant Equation
Comprehensive treatment of patients with missing teeth and/or hypodontia is difficult. It requires a
teamwork included an orthodontist, a prosthodontist, and a surgeon( in case of implant insertions)
to achieve ideal results. Dental implants may be considered the best treatment option for patients
with hypodontia. Using dental implants in patients with hypodontia may be challenging due to
some limitations such as reduced mesiodistal space, impairing the ideal positioning of implants. Too
often, surgeons attempting to place standard diameter implants have forced the restorative team to

The most common technical reason for resin bonded restoration failure is debonding.5 Although it

The features which these countries share are a fairly large population, which is considered to be
young and growing and in addition a prime geographic location to capitalise upon nearby global
markets. These features are distinctive against the developed markets and certain BRIC
economies which are considered to have an ageing population which is drawing away from their
growth potential. According to GDP figures, based on PPP valuation, the growth rates for the
MINT economies across 2013 and 2014 have averaged at 5.70%. This is significant given that
over the same time horizon the BRIC economies, considered the pinnacle of emerging market
growth, experienced a rate of 3.39%. This was relatively lower in comparison eluding towards a
shift in the investment potential from BRIC towards Mint Economies. In addition it is worth
considering that emerging economies having been attracting increasingly more Foreign Direct

Looking closer at the FDI spread based on regional allocation it is worth noting that Nigeria

Movement to Detroit, as a result of these events, is what allowed Detroit to become the auto motive
powerhouse of the country.
The powerful influx of African Americans into the Detroit area led to heightened racial tensions
that was seen nationwide at the time. The white supremacy group, the Ku Klux Klan, dug itself into
the Detroit region as early as the 1920s, making life more difficult through means of housing.
White communities militantly guarded the dividing lines imposed by segregation throughout
Detroit s history. As a result, the city s 200,000 black residents were cramped into 60 square
blocks on the East Side and forced to live under deplorable sanitary conditions. Ironically, the
ghetto was called Paradise Valley (American Experience). These events eventually culminated
into a series of race riots that required military intervention on various occasions and even with
the aid, fatalities were inevitable. The worst of the early riots was in 1943 after which troops

the Civil War leading into a new age for african americans to be free and was catalyzed by World

her maiden decision to leave the city, her uniqueness as the only person who understands the
reason why Will Kane should stay in the city is impressive. On the other hand, the dialogue
between speaker 1 and speaker 2 after discovering a killed body portrays the true epitome of
humanity. Views by speaker 1 that killing a person is like taking what they have and what they
could have ever have are true as far as humanity is concerned. Speaker 2 describes the act of
killing a man as a hell of a thing which is not only wrong but morally unacceptable. The dialogue
between the two is used to show the difference in reasoning and thinking between good people and

Hegemonic Masculinity And Domestic Violence
The media produces double standards by representing the act of domestic violence among athletes
differently based on the gender of the perpetrator or person committing the crime. Hegemonic
masculinity can best be described as the dominant, privileged, and often invisible category of men
at any point in history. In genderstudies, hegemonic masculinity refers to the belief in the existence
of a culturally normative ideal of malebehavior. Hegemonic masculinity posits that society strongly
encourages men to embody this kind of masculinity. Hegemonic masculinity is said to be marked
by a tendency for the male to dominate other males and subordinate females. A case can be made
for domestic violencecases in sports. Domestic violence can be used as a way for a male to show
his dominance over females and show other males not to mess with them. Men may come off as
more masculine if they beat on another girl. For females in sports it has been said that a more
masculine side is being brought out through competition. Even though I believe that domestic
violence is portrayed differently compared to male cases, females show their masculinity in
different ways. Hegemonic masculinity can be shown in females and when they use their anger in
a violent way it is a way to show that they can dominate other male or females and make them
seem more superior compared to other around them. In my paper I will be looking at how media
effects domestic violence and how it portrayed differently.

Provide early treatment, including access to drug treatment and rehabilitation programs. Reduce
risk of the client re offending. The Bail support program also aids an accused person that would
otherwise be remanded in custody to be granted bail and to remain on bail to satisfy the conditions
of their bail. A decrease of relevant services to aid youth to gain bail and meet the conditions has
been noted as possibly contributing towards the large number of youth on custodial remand, mainly
for the indigenous community and younger people who reside in more remote and regional areas.
Because of this the provision aid in finishing bail orders can partake a critical role in decreasing
rates of custodial remand. The bail Support programs are mainly aimed at the youth or adults, to
distinguish the different needs of the groups. The jurisdictions youth Justice department or non
government organisations give them. The Bail support program was created from two other bail
programs. The Bail support program main aim is to achieve the successful completion of bail by the
accused that would normally be in custody. Reduce the amount of accused kept in remand because
of lack of treatment, support from the community and lack of accommodation.

My Trip To Goa Essay
My Goa Retreat: Finally the dreamy Goa holiday I badly needed!
You haven t really travelled if you haven t been to Goa. The state is the ultimate destination for
Indian and international tourists and even though I grew up in Orissa, another Indian paradise with
fulfilling beaches, Goa has its own charm. Its reputation precedes it and with its perfect windy,
tropical weather, how could I resist my trip to Goa?
I had heard so much about the Goa water sports so the day I got there for my three day Goa trip,
the first thing I did was hire a boat and just enjoy the morning aboard. I sailed and my husband
was more interested in water scooting so we got our host from the resort to get us a scuba diving
instructor and water scooting services the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I was really surprised that a lot of people manage to do all these things in just a week or three
days and even though, I was motivated to accomplish at least few of the things I read on the blog, I
stuck with my own laidback intentions!
My husband often takes Goa 2 nights package and Goa 4 nights 5 days with his corporate friends
so I might plan my own list the next time. But this time, we spend our second night in Goa eating
a nice, sumptuous and luxurious lunch at a Goa 4 star resorts beach restaurant. There is absolutely
nothing more romantic than a candle lit delicious meal together in a dimly lit restaurant. I had
been dieting for so long but I ended up eating so much on my trip that I have my cravings satisfied
for almost a year!
I had few monuments like the old churches and some markets decided from the quintessential
Goa 10 places to visit but we the spend our third morning in Goa watching classic films. My
husband is such a movie buff so we watched Pulp Fiction and then had some breakfast in bed.
Our window has the classy beach view as we were staying at a resort near the Calangute so our
room had this perfect view of the beach. It was really the most amazing room in a hotel I have ever
stayed in and now that I am back here, I really want to go

HOW TO PLAN AN ANNUAL CHURCH BUDGET
I.WHO NEEDS A BUDGET?
Many times churches with small annual incomes feel it is not necessary to have an annual budget.
But neither the size of the church nor the size of the income should be the determining factor. In
fact, the smaller the income, the more critical the need may be to know exactly what your
financial needs are projected to be and from where your few dollars are projected to come. Who
needs an annual budget? Your church does. It is an important step in being a good steward of God s
money. It certainly is an important planning activity of good administration.

Observing Adolescents Through Adolescent Males And Females
OBSERVING ADOLESCENTS IN THIER NATURAL HABITAIT в
ЂЁвЂЁEMINA SEHOVIC
Do you remember adolescence ? The awkwardness, the pimples, the first crush, the first kiss?
Wasn t it the best? Don t you wish you could go back? I don t. Like most people I hated
adolescence it was a strange and confusing time. Looking back at my adolescents I sometimes
wonder why I acted the way I did. During this observation I couldn t help but think I really hope I
wasn t this bad back then, but lets face it I probably was.
Introduction
My group observed adolescents, we were looking for variations in behavior between males and
females. We theorized that in public places adolescent males and females would act differently
according to the environment they were in. We also predicted that their behavior would be
influenced by who they were around, peers or parents. O Koon, J. (1997), did a study looking at
adolescents relationships to parents and peers. In his study he found that females had a much
stronger attachment to their peers than males, attachment to parents was strong for both. In our
observations we saw some similar results.
Methods
For our research project we split our group and divided up the observation tasks. One part of the
group went to the mall, another went to a high school football game and a high school volleyball
game. I went to the mall for my observation, more specifically I went to the most popular
adolescent stores stores such as Forever 21, American Eagle, Dicks

Mirrors In Black Mirror, By Charli Charlie Brooker
In our 21st century reality, new media and technology has transformed, with little resistance,
almost every aspect of daily life; redefining our reality. From plasma screens to monitors to
smartphones, we are constantly face to face with the black screens of our devices, or black mirrors
. Canadian professor, Marshall Mcluhandescribed media as artificial extensions of sensory existence,
; meaning, each media technology functions as a prosthetic, working in conjunction with our minds
and bodies, allowing us to perceive more and reshaping our perception of the world (1969). This
approach emphasises the impossibility of fully understanding social and cultural changes in society
without understanding how media works as environments (Griffin, 2011).

The Challenges Of Interracial Marriage
Interracial marriage takes place between people who are from different racial or ethnic groups. This
year marks the 50th anniversary of Loving v. Virginia, but still they facing few challenges through
out the years. Loving v. Virginia, the U.S. Supreme Court case overturned state laws banning
interracial marriage. Over five decades, interracial relationships have become more common across
the United States, but those couples still face some unique challenges. Interracial marriage is
reasonable and people should stop being judgmental. Interracial couple should not be judged or
differentiate than any normal couple. Everyone is unique in their own way, raceor color have
nothing to do with the marriage. If a person really understands you and cares for you, raceor culture
does not matter. Outer shell of a person does not change who they are on the inside.
Henriken explains that In U.S. Census Bureau (2000) data, the number of interracial marriages
rose to slightly more than 3,000,000 and comprised approximately 5.5 percent of all marriages
(Henriksen jr., n.d.). In 1990, the interracial law was passed, and after the year of 2000,
3,000,000 interracial marriages took place. You can tell from the number that this law was much
needed for those who liked someone from different race or culture. The number of interracial
marriage has been increasing and society have start accepting them. People should remember that a
couple is made up of two people, not two races or cultures.

Essay On College Sports
When it comes to the topic of college athletics, most of us will readily agree that college sports
are a great opportunity to go to college for someone who otherwise would not be able to attend.
Where this agreement usually ends, however, is on the question of whether colleges need to focus
more on learning over athletics. Whereas some are convinced that sports can lower academic
standards for admission just to play a sport, others maintain that collegesports bring in lots of extra
revenue and help students get a quality educationat a price they can afford to pay. While sports can
increase revenue and attention, colleges are made to further students education and prepare them
for the career path they have chosen. Universities nowadays are almost built completely around
sports. Athletics haul in billions of dollars annually for universities and draw in crowds of over
100,000 people for only a single game. While these are great for fans... Show more content on

When student athletes get enrolled in more basic, easy classes and make good grades, it makes it
look as if they are putting as much work as the more accomplished students. Scholarships offered
by these schools can also put non athletes at a disadvantage due to the athlete receiving special
benefits that a plain student with the same grades would not otherwise receive. If this happens, it
shows that colleges truly do prioritize athletics over academics.
Though college sports are extremely enjoyable and profitable for universities, education should be
prioritized over athletic participation and there should not be any lowered standards for student
athletes. The main focus of college is to make it to one s career, not to make it to a professional
sports league. Going in with that mentality will achieve nothing and possibly even hurt your
chances of being successful in

Relational Database Analysis
Relational database normalization is the process of decomposing relations with anomalies to
produce well structured relations. This paper delves into relational database normalization giving
the reason why a database schema in third normal form is considered to be of higher quality than an
un normalized databaseschema.
Relational database normalization entails organizing database and it includes the creation of tables
as well as relationships establishment between the tables using designed rules intended to protect
the data as well as make the database to be flexible. This is achieved through the elimination of
redundancy as well as inconsistent dependency. Redundant data is known to waste the space of the

In this second normal form level, deficiencies which are transitive are removed. Third normal form
satisfies the condition which requires that the relation to be in the second normal form. Another
condition that it full is that it must not have transitive dependencies within the relations in the
database. Transitive dependency occurs if an attribute is found to be functionally dependent on the
key in an indirect manner. In this level, remaining functional dependency anomalies is removed.
Boyce Codd Normal requires that the relation to be in third normal form and that every
determinant is supposed to be a candidate key. In this level, multi valued dependencies are
removed. A relation is in fourth normal form is it has a composite key and its key attributes have
no multi valued dependencies. In the fourth normal form, the remaining anomalies are removed.
Fifth normal form is a generalization of the fourth normal form. It states that if a relation can be
decomposed into the lossless join of several relations, then it should be so decomposed. The fifth
normal form concerns dependencies that are obscure (Colomb, R. (2003)
A database schema in third normal form is considered to be of higher quality than an un normalized
database schema because the third normal form ensures that

with anything whether it was working at her job or dealing with her boyfriend. Thus her
overriding emotion for her life before being institutionalized was exhaustion. Her great loss of

  • 2. The Bolsheviks and Marxism Analyzing the Bolshevik State compared to Marxism can be difficult because Marx, Engels and their followers gave relatively little thought to what the state would look like after a socialist revolution. Engels famously wrote, the state is not abolished, it withers away, which highlights the hazy and unfixed nature of Marx and Engle s writings on the ultimate, classless society they envisioned. Further, what they did write is subject to the differing interpretations by numerous socialist parties all claiming to be Marxist. As discussed earlier, Lenin claimed he simply reshaped Marxismto fit the conditions of Russia. Others argue his interpretation was not true Marxism at all. However, the basic principles of a socialist state in the eyes of Marx s are outlined in the Communist Manifesto as follows: 1. Abolition of property in land and application of all rents of land to public purposes.
 2. A heavy progressive or graduated income tax.
 3. Abolition of all rights of inheritance.
 4. Confiscation of the property of all emigrants and rebels.
 5. Centralization of credit in the hands of the state, by means of a national bank with State capital and an exclusive monopoly.
 6. Centralization of the means of communication and transport in the hands of the State.
 7. Extension of factories and instruments of production owned by the State; the bringing into cultivation of waste lands, and the improvement of the soil generally in accordance with a common plan.

  • 4. Examples Of Companionship In Frankenstein Companionship vs. Loneliness: Characters tend to want companionship but are driven to loneliness. What are examples of this? What makes them solitary? Is it something in their personality or actions? Does anyone find true companionship? After reading Frankenstein, I chose to write about companionship vs. loneliness. One example of companionship is Victor and his family. According to the text, Much as they were attached to each other, they seemed to draw inexhaustible stores of affection from a very mine of love to bestow them upon me. My mother s tender caresses, and my father s smile of benevolent pleasure while regarding me, are my first recollections (Chapter 1). • 6. The Importance Of The Death Penalty An intense debate over the death penalty has prevailed among Americans for the past decades. The death penalty is the execution of a person by judicial process as punishment to commit serious crimes. However, is the death penalty a fair form of punishment? Data from several studies have clearly shown that it is a completely cruel and wrongful method of punishment. Capital punishment disproportionately targets disadvantaged communities and therefore puts innocent lives at risk. In many cases, the same punishments were not ordered for similar crimes but rather depended on the social status of the accused and the accuser. However, many supporters who want to keep the death penalty are often supposed that the death penalty can deter potential offenders from criminal activity. While this argument seems initially convincing, it is simply a hypothetical assertion that s not supported by any facts. So far, there has been no systematic analysis to verify this argument. Collectively, the death penalty system lacks fairness, integrity, and effectiveness; such a system should be abolished until the United States can achieve fairness and consistency in the administration of the death penalty. The death penalty is applied in an arbitrary and discriminatory manner. The poor people are far more likely to receive the death penalty than wealthy people. One of the reasons is that poor people cannot afford their own attorney, so all they depend on are the lawyers assigned by the state. However, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 8. New Financial Institutions Of The United States Financial... New Financial Institutions Restrictions on the number of new financial services institutions allowed to enter the industry each year are needed to protect the integrity and stability of consumers cash and deposits, as well as outstanding loans and credit. Although many are private companies, financial institutions have a very public purpose, which is why federal regulations are needed. The safety and security of the financial institution is an important part of the overall financial system. Federal guidelines with capital structure requirements and market entry limits protect consumers from losing their money or assets to institutions who are not adequately funded to maintain business through times of financial downturn (Northeast Decision Sciences Institute, 2013). Barriers to entry in the United States financial services industry is needed and necessary to protect the American consumer and the American financial market from both foreign and domestic financial services companies. Regulating the entry of new financial services companies, whether foreign or domestic based, also helps establish a level playing field for new and existing companies within the regulatory system (McDonough, 1993). Conversely, open entry to the financial services industry would increase market competition among all institutions. This would help keep all financial services companies striving for new products and technology advances in order to maintain and grow their market share. Regulations that ... Regardless of why people are tattooed, they have been tattooing since before the birth of Christ. Throughout history tattooing has served many purposes. The earliest evidence of tattooing was found in 1991 in the mountains of Austria. An Iceman was found, his bones dated back to 3,300 B.C. which is over 5300 years ago. Tribal tattoos have been used for many reasons. They were used to promote a relationship with a god, and to help then get to the proper spirit world. Tribes also thought that tattoos would give them an advantage when they arrive to the spirit world. Most of the primitive tribes used some form of tattoos, scarification or body painting. If a boy did not have the tattoos they were not given the same respect as a man with tattoos. They could not speak; they could not marry and were not allow doing certain jobs. When missionaries arrived in Polynesian lands they tried to get the Samoans to refrain from tattooing because Christianity frowned upon it. The missionaries wanted the Samoans to live by Christ word but instead they added it to their culture. To this day tattooing is highly respected in the Samoans culture. In Tonga is where the Samoans and the Polynesians tattooed. Tattooing was a way of life to the Polynesians, they were tattooing even before the Europeans came to the South Pacific. Sleep deprivation can affect one s behavior and their cognitive functions in different ways. Goel pointed out that deteriorate effects have been shown to involve vigilance, executive attention, working memory, language, divergent thinking, and creativity (Maccari 2014). Much research has been done on how sleep deprivationeffects brain functions and behavior. Many are not aware to what extent the brain is effected by sleep deprivation and how one s behavior can drastically change. In order to fully understand how one s mood is effected by sleep deprivation, one must first understand how the brain functions during sleep. Rapid eye movement, or REM sleep, is one of the phases that the brain goes through during sleep. During REM sleep, the eyes move back and forth and it is believed this is due to the visual images that one is seeing in their dream. Jouvet was the first to show that the brainstem is integral for the REM sleep stage, and the neural circuits in the pons have also been studied thoroughly to see how it plays a role in the sleep cycle. But when looking deeper into the narrative one realizes how meaningful and insightful this story truly is. It brings the readers to understand the dark reality of life and different views between young and old. Hemingway sets an atmosphere of despair and loneliness throughout the entire dialogue and monologue within. The story is an interaction between two waiters, one old one young, within a cafГ© in Madrid, Spain. The two waiters argue about an old regular of the cafГ©, who comes alone and drinks until closing time. Throughout the story, the two men reflect on the nature of happiness and the inevitability of death. The story exhibits how age has an immense effect on the way we observe life. In Hemmingway s A Clean Well Lighted Place the age difference between these two colleagues brings a difference in personality, values, and solidarity. A Clean, Well Lighted Place reflects on differences of age and the personalities that go along with it. The older waiter is portrayed as an unaccompanied, obscure, and isolated individual who feels his life is meaningless. Most businesses will always shut down for a few hours during this time. Conversely, the 21st century Spanish generation has slowly evaded this cultural practice. Much as the big cities are constantly busy moving at faster paces similar to most Western countries, smaller towns and villages nonetheless continue to take siestas as part of their daily routine (Thyberg). • 32. The Little Mermaid Play Analysis Andrew Mussell Ms. Harris CO 1513 01 5 November 2017 Play Analysis of The Little Mermaid At the end of September, I watched a play, The Little Mermaid , by Linda Daugherty, and it was directed by Tim Matheny. This play was used as a proscenium arch stage, and it was an educational theatre from Mississippi State University. Overall, the play was well written and entertaining. It was also short and simple for the audience to understand and enjoy. It was mainly based on a different version of Hans Christian Andersens The Little Mermaid due violences and the tragic ending of Andresen s original version because the kids were the target audience. For example, they didn t want to show the Sea Witch cut the little mermaid s tongue, but they showed how Disney did it. Another example was they did a happy ending with the little mermaid getting the prince instead of the prince marries a princess whom he believed that she saved him from the storm, and the little mermaid dies. The play had some strengths, but there were also a few flaws. For directing, the play was mostly focused on in the sea and off the shore since it is about the little mermaid. From the directing decision, the actors who played mermaids were moving back and forth while standing which was weird because it was like if they were losing some balance. It was probably to show that they are in the sea, which the movement was unnecessary. Maybe, the director did it because it might have helped the kids visualize the setting better to prove that they are in the sea. But, the director did well on having the border moving up and down during the scene of the Prince s ship. The border were the waves which made the ship look like it was sailing through the sea. That was an excellent choice from the director. For the acting, Luke McFatrich played William and Austin Howeth played Timothy, who were the comedic characters and friends with the Prince. These actors were chosen because they got the audience to laugh even the kids thought they were hilarious. For example, they made some guest when the little mermaid, who couldn t talk, was trying to communicate. Those actors had no flaw because they kept the play entertaining. Also, Alyssa Parrish did a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 44. Hegemonic Masculinity And Domestic Violence The media produces double standards by representing the act of domestic violence among athletes differently based on the gender of the perpetrator or person committing the crime. Hegemonic masculinity can best be described as the dominant, privileged, and often invisible category of men at any point in history. In genderstudies, hegemonic masculinity refers to the belief in the existence of a culturally normative ideal of malebehavior. Hegemonic masculinity posits that society strongly encourages men to embody this kind of masculinity. Hegemonic masculinity is said to be marked by a tendency for the male to dominate other males and subordinate females. A case can be made for domestic violencecases in sports. Domestic violence can be used as a way for a male to show his dominance over females and show other males not to mess with them. Men may come off as more masculine if they beat on another girl. For females in sports it has been said that a more masculine side is being brought out through competition. Even though I believe that domestic violence is portrayed differently compared to male cases, females show their masculinity in different ways. Hegemonic masculinity can be shown in females and when they use their anger in a violent way it is a way to show that they can dominate other male or females and make them seem more superior compared to other around them. In my paper I will be looking at how media effects domestic violence and how it portrayed differently. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Interracial marriage is reasonable and people should stop being judgmental. Interracial couple should not be judged or differentiate than any normal couple. Everyone is unique in their own way, raceor color have nothing to do with the marriage. If a person really understands you and cares for you, raceor culture does not matter. Henriken explains that In U.S. Census Bureau (2000) data, the number of interracial marriages rose to slightly more than 3,000,000 and comprised approximately 5.5 percent of all marriages (Henriksen jr., n.d.). • 58. Essay On College Sports When it comes to the topic of college athletics, most of us will readily agree that college sports are a great opportunity to go to college for someone who otherwise would not be able to attend. Where this agreement usually ends, however, is on the question of whether colleges need to focus more on learning over athletics. Whereas some are convinced that sports can lower academic standards for admission just to play a sport, others maintain that collegesports bring in lots of extra revenue and help students get a quality educationat a price they can afford to pay. While sports can increase revenue and attention, colleges are made to further students education and prepare them for the career path they have chosen. Universities nowadays are almost built completely around sports. Athletics haul in billions of dollars annually for universities and draw in crowds of over 100,000 people for only a single game. While these are great for fans... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... When student athletes get enrolled in more basic, easy classes and make good grades, it makes it look as if they are putting as much work as the more accomplished students. Scholarships offered by these schools can also put non athletes at a disadvantage due to the athlete receiving special benefits that a plain student with the same grades would not otherwise receive. If this happens, it shows that colleges truly do prioritize athletics over academics. Though college sports are extremely enjoyable and profitable for universities, education should be prioritized over athletic participation and there should not be any lowered standards for student athletes. The main focus of college is to make it to one s career, not to make it to a professional sports league. Going in with that mentality will achieve nothing and possibly even hurt your chances of being successful in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 59. Relational Database Analysis Relational database normalization is the process of decomposing relations with anomalies to produce well structured relations. This paper delves into relational database normalization giving the reason why a database schema in third normal form is considered to be of higher quality than an un normalized databaseschema. Relational database normalization entails organizing database and it includes the creation of tables as well as relationships establishment between the tables using designed rules intended to protect the data as well as make the database to be flexible. This is achieved through the elimination of redundancy as well as inconsistent dependency. Redundant data is known to waste the space of the disk thereby creating problems of ... Third normal form satisfies the condition which requires that the relation to be in the second normal form. Another condition that it full is that it must not have transitive dependencies within the relations in the database. Transitive dependency occurs if an attribute is found to be functionally dependent on the key in an indirect manner. In this level, remaining functional dependency anomalies is removed. Boyce Codd Normal requires that the relation to be in third normal form and that every determinant is supposed to be a candidate key. In this level, multi valued dependencies are removed. A relation is in fourth normal form is it has a composite key and its key attributes have no multi valued dependencies. In the fourth normal form, the remaining anomalies are removed. Fifth normal form is a generalization of the fourth normal form. It states that if a relation can be decomposed into the lossless join of several relations, then it should be so decomposed. The fifth normal form concerns dependencies that are obscure (Colomb, R. (2003) A database schema in third normal form is considered to be of higher quality than an un normalized database schema because the third normal form ensures that ... • 60. Overly Promiscuous Behavior Following her parasuicidality symptom, Susanna also had the symptom of overly promiscuous behavior. During high school, she spent the majority of her time solely focusing on her love for literature and her various boyfriends. She describes herself as having boyfriends by the barrelful (Kaysen 155). A statement that was greatly backed up by both her parents and teachers who would often question her on why she didn t expend as much energy on [her] schoolwork as [she] does on [her] boyfriends (Kaysen 153). From Susanna s account she craved flattery which played a part in why she set her pursuits in having many boyfriends as she liked the attention and flattery that they gave her. This poses a problem with her ability to function as it showcases... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Aside from being sent to McLean for her suicide attempt she was also sent there because of her overriding emotion of exhaustion. The seemingly smallest tasks of walking through a door and going several blocks to wait for a train rendered her weak (Kaysen 8). She was too tired to deal with anything whether it was working at her job or dealing with her boyfriend. Thus her overriding emotion for her life before being institutionalized was exhaustion. Her great loss of energy even played a role in how quick she was sent to McLean. As when she first went to meet the physician who later sends her to the psychiatric hospital in a taxi she thinks about escaping from his office (Kaysen 8). Although just the effort that it would take to move her body and escape affected her ability to move as her depression left her exhausted mentally and physically. Thus, she follows suit with the orders from the physician as he pushes her into a taxi off to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
