Argumentative Essay On Luxury Cars
For people who like power and luxury together, the Bentley Mulsanne was a great choice to have.
Bentley Motors produced it throughout the 80 s. It was named after the famous Le Mans race
track section. The Mulsane Straight was the fastest part of the famous track in the 1920 s. This car
is extremely versatile and therefore, owners want to use it for a multitude of reasons.
As with other Bentleys, it is important to keep the luxury car in a pristine condition. For this, you
need to replace the worn out parts and ensure that you do not run the vehicle with a damaged or low
performing component. This means support from spare parts suppliers. Hunt Auto Parts (HAP) can
truly help Bentley owners in this regard.

Excuses In Everyday Life, By Bernard Roth
Bernard Roth, a Professor at the d. school in California, has an impressively valid outlook as to
why all reasons given are bullshit. Roth provides numerous examples of people who use regularly
use excuses to manage everyday life; however, he also plays the devil s advocate when stating that
excuses may help you in the current situation but will it assist you at all in the long run? In the
second chapter of his book, Roth classifies the use of excuses into several categories; ethically,
logically, and emotionally. Although I understand Roth s beliefs, there are multiple areas I
fundamentally disagree with. Such as, some excuses must be explained no matter what the
circumstances were since the reasoning is important. Roth would rebuttal by saying reasons have
no meaning which in turn goes back to having no excuses. Utilizing an abundance of forms of
thinking, is Roth s strategy when emphasizing his point. He explains to every studentthe three
possible rationalizations for excuses. Once again, he suggests every excuse is bullshit, and has no
place in an individual s life. Excuses ultimately hamper an individual s ability to reach for his or her
dreams. Bernard Roth, author of, The Achievement Habit, stop wishing, start doing and take
control of your life effectively uses Aristotle s rhetorical triangle in chapter two, his argument
contains ethos, pathos, and logos to authenticate the thought that the reasons are bullshit. Roth s
credibility and experience are

The Pros And Cons Of The Western Union
Why has Western Union been able to adapt to severe disruptions and survive over so many years?
It never confused the business it was in with the way it conducted its business. At its core, Western
Union was about facilitating person to person communications and money transfers whether via
telegraph, wireless networks, phone, or the Internet. We always saw ourselves as a
communications company, says President Christina Gold. Contrast that with Kodak. By defining
itself too narrowly as a product company all those years, it was headed for a fall.
Kodak teetered on the precipice and with it stands some of the other once great businesses of the
20th century, from autos to newspapers. They were immensely successful and proud, but their very
success made it difficult to adjust. The more successfully you use a way of working, the stronger
your culture is, which is a great strength right up to the time when you need to change, says Clayton
Christensen, a professor at Harvard Business School.

iPod, a must have device for music fans, and iTunes, an online music shop that turned music
downloading into a profit making business. By making iPod and iTunes work with Windows
PCs, Apple broke out of selling only to its niche of loyal fans. But its transformation is even
more profound than that: In essence, it switched from being a great designer of computer

music represents 44% of Apple s revenues, and an even larger share of profits. If Kodak focused on

Q A Case Study
3.a. Brands cannot be expected to last forever versus there is no reason for a brand to ever
become obsolete. In reality brands can exist forever if they are managed to stay in step with
their target customers unmet needs, preferences, wants and strive to exceed their expectations.
Brand familiarity and execution are key to the longevity of any marketing strategy, and to attain
this over time brand marketers must stay agile enough to shift with customer s needs, both
actual and planned (Palmer, 2010). Consider Proctor Gamble and their approach to branding
soap over the last one hundred years, where the product itself was changing and continually
improving yet the brand equity accumulated over decades of consistent execution (Srivastava,
2009). The ability of a brand to stay agile and take risks is also predicated on how much trust it
has created and keeps fueling over time with its customer bases as well (Urde, 1994). A brand
can survive over a very long time by concentrating on the customer first and their needs, making
those the galvanizing force of the entire branding network (Sarkar, Singh, 2005). Brands can
continue on in perpetuity if they also stay true to the unique and most differentiation aspects of the
businesses they work to represent. Brands in many cases will drive an entire company to
revolutionize key processes, systems, and roles of key people in the organization to stay more in
step with customer needs (Sarkar, Singh, 2005). Given the focus on

Strengths And Weaknesses Of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk
INTRODUCTION
Mustafa Kemal Ataturk was the first president of the republic of Turkey. He was known to be a
remarkable leader, reformer and a hero (Atillasoy, 2013). His great leadership display in the
military led to reformation and nation building (Byrne, 2003). The purpose of this report is to
embrace a balanced view on the life and work of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk including his strengths and
weaknesses. In so doing, I will be touching on Mustafa Kemal Ataturk life, weaknesses, leadership
characteristics and qualities against the characteristics. Also, I will be defining leadership and
providing a theoretical framework to help explain the analyses of his life. Finally, I will examine
his inspiring messages to the people.

Mustafa Kemal AtatГјrk was born in 1881 in Salonika. At the age of 12, he was sent to military
school and then to the military academy in Istanbul. He made his military reputation repelling the
Allied invasion at the Dardanelles. After that, he began a nationalist revolution in Anatolia,
organising resistance to the peace settlement imposed on Turkey by the victorious Allies of which
he was victorious (BBC, 2014).

Roles Of Public And Public Policy
Roles of Public Administrators in the Policy Process The formulation and implementation of
public policy benefit the public. Therefore, public policy is a framework whereby the government
pursues its action plan. Moreover, it is a course of action aimed at responding to a problem and
achieving a goal. Consequently, the formulation of a policyadheres to a particular political process,
and it is enforced and implemented by a public agency. As stated, public policy affects the public,
meaning that it has an effect on the people and how they live. Subsequently, public policy should
cover the needs of the people and enhance their lives. Not all the people can participate in the
policy process, and as a result, those professions that have a direct interaction with the public can
play a big role in representing it in the policy process. Thus, public administrators are best suited to
represent the public in the policy process because they understand needs of the public, the policy
process, and where and when they can influence this process.
Policy Design Public administrators should understand that in a bureaucratic system, they are
essential for good governance. Thus, they are in a position to represent the public and its needs to
the government (Warner, 2001). As stated earlier, the role of policies is to provide a framework
for solving problems. Therefore, from a general perspective, the analytic work in problem solving
moves toward a certain direction, thus from the

The Visual Adisement Of An Advert Analysis Of Tux Soap
The visual text about the Tux Soap is an advertisement created to convince women that using Tux
Soap for their body will improve their complexion and make them appear more visually appealing.
It is targeted at women, aged between thirteen to fifty because society seems to demand that it is
essential for women to look extraordinarily beautiful and have flawless skin. The advertisement
appeals to the targeted audienceas the beautiful womanon the advertisement with flawless skin
entices young and older women to want to try Tux soap.
Visual techniques evident in advertisement include the title, which conveys the message that
Most men ask Is she pretty? Not Is she clever? . The title misleads women by persuading them
that men only look at aspects of beauty but not intelligence or kindness. However, it is extremely
effective as women will be attracted to the advertisement in how they can allow their beauty to be
seen and would want to read more into it. Furthermore, the dull background colours such as the
light blue and grey shades make the woman s flawless skin and her fair complexion appear more
prominent and appealing to the eye, satisfying the audience. Moreover, the advertisement includes
a larger size for the words, Most men ask Is she pretty? and a smaller size is utilised for not Is she
clever? this differentiation convinces the audience that being prettier is more important than being
clever. It makes us sense that beauty is more powerful than intelligence.

techniques such as pathos in I Have a Dream and logos in Letter from Birmingham Jail. The speech

Managing employees that share a low moral is not simple yet it affects productivity. I am the
department manager of the shoes department for Sears Holdings Corporation. I will present three
recommendations on how to boost my subordinate s moral along with surpass the expectations and
goals of my department during the busy holiday season. My employees are incredibly significant
and with them I will be able to meet my goals through recognizing and training them as well as with
some suggestions to acquire competitive advantage.
The preliminary step to boost my employee s attitude and morale is recognition. Respecting each
employee as well as equal treatment will heighten morale. In Chapter 12, Adams states that
employees are motivated to see fairness in the rewards they expect for task performance. Also
mentioned in Chapter 12, I will encourage the Reinforcement Theory. Good behavior, attitude and
ideas will be rewarded (positive reinforcement). In order to reward behavior of employees, the goals
and quotas needed to be met will be clearly defined.
Emails, phone calls and thank you notes will all be used to show employees appreciation. As a
manager, I will make a particular effort to send my employees a handwritten thank you note for
each miniature goal. After a few larger goals are accomplished, an appreciation day will be

Examples Of Chris Selfish In Into The Wild
Society today is beginning to think more about themselves and less about others. Many people
would desire to live a life solely benificial to themselves rather than benefiting others on the way.
This is considered selfish, considering it can cause problems for others. In his book Into the Wild
, Jon Krakaur portrays well that Chris s actions made him inherently selfish. He created
sentimental relationships and left a vast amount of them. Not only did he leave all of those
people, but he left his family as well. Chris also threw away things that anyone would be glad to
take. Overall, his journey was ultimately selfish and made things more difficult for other people.
Firstly, Chris was selfish because he made relationships during his journey

The Negative Consequences Of Homework
Students, parents, and teachers will agree with the assertion that homework is a difficult topic to
find middle ground on. Students usually loath being assigned homework and being required to
complete it. Teachers find it difficult to assign homework, knowing that their students aren t
motivated to do it. Furthermore, parents mull over on getting their children to complete their
homework because they believe it needs to be completed if educators have assigned it. However,
recently there has been proof that assigning homework might not benefit students as much as
previously conceived. Schools and educators have claimed that homework improves students
academic performance and academic comprehension. After careful analysis, the actuality is that
large amounts of homework have more negative consequences than positive ones.
Assigning students large amounts of homework invites unnecessary, undesired, and unimportant
conflict or stress in the lives of students. The conflict begins at school between the teacher and the
student. When students come to school with incomplete homework, they are either penalized or
scolded by their teachers. Next, the teachers will notify the student s parents in an attempt to get the
student to complete the homework assignments. Usually, parents are unsatisfied to hear that their
student isn t completing the work that is required. The students will have to accept the
consequences at school and at home. This common situation should be avoided for the

Colorful flyers and significant graffiti were posted around Seattle. People excitingly held the flyers

had sent the formal invitation to all of my friends and family members on rectangular shaped flyers.
The background of the flyers promoted the natural resources and industrial advances of the Pacific

Moreover, six huskies were used to pull sleds, and the rider with a beard stood with a whip on

The Collective Bargaining Process Of The Uaw
This report represents the analysis of the collective bargaining process of the UAW (known as the
CAW today) and GM (General Motors), presented in the film The Final Offer , 1985. Canada and
the United States were part of the negotiations with General motors to reconcile a bargaining
settlement in 1984. There was a compromise among labor and management that resulted to strike
throughout months of the negotiation process. Craig as well as Hebdon and Brown have framed 3
hypotheses that will concentrate on the economic situation, the consequences of strike, in addition
to, the community interests during bargaining and negotiations. The factors mentioned have been
founded by categorizing the actors, diverse environments, outputs and the conversion mechanisms.
Prior to analyzing the 3 hypotheses we should define the main actors that were a part of the
negotiations. Management part included Rod Andrew (Canadian GM negotiator) and Roger B
Smith (United States GM negotiator). Labor part included Owen Bieber (UAW agent), Buzz
Hargrove and Bob Nickerson (UAWC deputies), as well as, Robert White (UAWC director). Also,
the votes that powerfully counted were the Canadian plant legislators, therefore, based on that we
count them as actors. During 4 nerve wrecking months, there were comprehensive negotiations and
discussions among the management and labor to achieve a sensible understanding agreement

The Effect Of Metal Chelation On Latin
Introduction
Chelate means claw in Latin. Metal Chelation is a process when a polyvalent metal ion form
covalent bonds with a drug and binds tightly to form a 5 or 6 membered ring. 5 and 6 membered
ring structure are very stable because their bond angle has no ring strain. Thus, when a compound
is chelated, it will not be able to pass through the biological membrane, in another words, it will not
be metabolise by the body but to be pass through the renal without being absorbed and being
excreted though urine. Essential metal such as magnesium, iron, calcium and zinc are easily found
in many food source and is vital to be included as part of our diet as these trace elements are
helping our body enzymes, hormones and cells to work. Insufficient intake of trace minerals can
cause symptoms of nutritional deficiency. (Glusker,1999) At certain times, these metal are also use
as an active ingredient or excipients in pharmaceutical industry.
Chelation of Alendroic Acid with Calcium
Alendronic acid is a bisphosphonate drug that is used to inhibit osteoclastic bone resorption .it

The Unjust Death of Socrates Essays
The Unjust Death of Socrates
The question of why Socrates was executed and if he deserved the charges put against him has
been asked by historians for centuries.
Socrates has a unique position in the history of philosophy. On one hand he is the most influential
on another he is the least known. In his later life he is seen to stalk the streets barefoot, to spite
shoemakers. He went about arguing and questioning people and revealing inconsistencies in their
beliefs. He began teaching students but never accepted payments for doing so. This was possible
because of the inheritance left by his father. Socrates wrote nothing of himself so we are dependent
upon the works of both his students and associates who present a view as close to ... Show more

The shaky past of Athens, after the loss of the war against the Spartans and the overthrow of the
democracy they loved and fought for caused suspicion in Socrates who had association to Critas, a
bloodthirsty tyrant in an oligarchy called the Thirty Tyrants From a harmless town character
Socrates influence on the youth of Athens was being questioned.
Socrates was brought into the courts under charges of impiety and corruption of minors. Socrates
did not believe in the divinities of the city state. The punishment decided upon was an execution, in
the hope that Socrates would choose exile, a punishment that would have satisfied the jury.
Socrates takes the death penalty in stride, as a man of almost 70 years he would rather die
honorably than waste away in his older years. He claims that he will receive free meals, an honor
kept only for athletes who win at the Olympic games.
The execution of Socrates is not justified. The charges that were brought against Socrates had
taught all his adult life, without molestation, in a state that was well known for its democracy and
fairness. The Athenians were not brutal people and executions were rare. Socrates had to drink a
poisonous hemlock in order to die, a non brutal method of death. We must understand Athens past in
order to make judgment. I believe that the form of punishment was very extreme in this
impressionable city and very uncommon and unalike the portrayed view of the typical Athenian.

The Iron Wall
The Iron Wall is a documentary film released in 2006. It is all about the establishment of the West
Bank Israeli settlements. According to the film, these settlements are a strategy to occupy the
territory permanently. The construction of the controversial Israeli West Bank barrier is among the
issues covered. The Palestinians for Peace and Democracy and the Palestinian Agricultural Relief
Committees jointly produced the film. The Al Jazeera Television Production Festival made the film
an Official Selection. The film follows the timeline through which the establishment of the
settlements took place. It examines the effects of the settlements on the peace process. Featured in
the film are interviews with noted political analysts and peace activists from Palestineand Israel,
including Hind Khoury, Akiva Eldar, and Jeff Halper. The subtitles of the film are in Hebrew,
Arabic and English.
The film points to the West Banksettlement colonies that Israel propagated as the main challenge
to peace. The film argues that colonization takes place through these settlements without regard to
Palestinians desires. This process has gone on through decades before Israel was established. The
daily growth of the settlements is an indication that the policy is active. The film claims that ...

Free Trade Agreements And The Trade Agreement
Free trade agreements are established around the world by countries to limit restrictions on trade
and investment in hope of benefiting both countries economies. A free trade agreement removes
barriers to trade eliminating most quotas and removing tariffs on goods and services that can be
exported or imported. Many free tradeagreements also remove other barriers to trade, like property
protection or restrictions on foreign service provider s industry. China a growing superpower, has
the largest population in the world and has numerous free trade agreements with different countries.
China has a free trade agreement with Australia established in 2014 and with New Zealand
established in 2008. Free trade agreements help Chinese businesses by attracting investment from
Australian markets. Free trade agreements increase export markets for China and lower costs of
imports into China.
a.Tariffs
A tariff is a tax on the import of goods and services brought into the country. free trade
agreements are created to lower or remove of tariffs on the trading of goods and services. The
tax may vary from a few percent of the value, to well over 100% of the value of the item
depending on its demand and rarity. This tax is carried down to consumers, resulting in higher
prices for these imported goods. Tariffs are place to protect domestic businesses that are seen as
valuable to the economy. For example, The United States enacted a tariff of 8 30% on steel to
protect the American steel

Dikeskemp s Influence On The Nature Of God
In the beginning God is recorded as taking six days to create everything. He creates many unique
and beautiful things in those first five days; however, only one of those created beings, humanity,
received God s direct breath. In fact, before humanity was even created, God is recorded as saying
in Genesis, Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness...(Holy Bible). Godintentionally
placed his own likeness into all of humanity. Consequently, as Bufford (2007) states, it seems every
human life has significance and worth intrinsically woven into it. As a therapist, this has immense
ramifications. Not only does this understanding influence how I interact with every client, but it
also gives me motivation to press through and understand even the most difficult clients.... Show

Delkeskemp (2013) expounds on Trinitarian theology and its impact on the nature of God. He
speaks of a relational dance God has performed for all of time, where each essence of God is
always looking to love and serve the other. God is relational at his core, and this core value is
passed on to humanity. Humans were created to love and be loved just as God has been doing for
all of existence. Delkeskemp (2011) points to this reality as evidenced by the affection we feel for
total strangers who are suffering and the phenomenon of social

Weapons Trafficking in Somalia Essay
Weapons trafficking in Somalia is a complex issue with global implications. Extremist
organizations, such as Al Shabaab, appear to be the primary beneficiary to the unrestricted flow of
weapons and use them to achieve their objectives. Furthermore, the availability of weapons,
particularly that of small arms, compromises regional stability and undermines United States
strategy. The purpose of this paper is to address the significance of the arms trafficking network in
Somalia by examining the culture in which it thrives, the motivation of Al Shabaab to obtain them,
the sources of illegal arms, and the United States point of view.
II. The Culture

Somalis also have one of the lowest school enrollment rates in the world. Only 20% of primary
school age and 6% secondary school age Somalis are enrolled in school. These numbers contribute
to low literacy, about 37% in adults (TCC, 2011).
The impact
Somalia is a frightening case as all of the individual factors contributing to national instability are
cyclical and compounding. If an effective government is the main pillar supporting all aspects of
a country, then in Somalia, this pillar crumbled in 1991 and has yet to be rebuilt on asolid
foundation. Somali National Security Forces (SNSF) and police forces are ineffective at enforcing
law and providing security at the borders and for the people. According to a United Nations
Security Council (UNSC) report, the SNSF target innocent Somalis through extortion during their
operations (UNSC, 2013). In result, Somalia is incapable of attacking the humanitarian catastrophe
from within. Somalis survival of the fittest philosophy and lack of education further separates
people from the government.
Somali options
If culture is adaptive behavior in response to their environment, outside in analysis suggests that
Somalis have four viable options of self preservation. The first option is to leave Somalia. This is a
popular choice among many Somalis as the number of refugees fleeing into neighboring countries
rises exponentially each year. The second

Is Harrah s Entertainment, Inc. Essay
The company that I will be discussing about is Harrah s Entertainment, Inc. This company was
founded by Bill Harrah on October 29, 1937 and has its headquarters in Nevada, USA. They own
more than 50 casinos and hotels and have approximately 33,000 employees presently working. The
company has an annual revenue of $8.6 billion and is currently one of the top casino gaming
companies of the world. The reason for their success is good customerservice and efficient usage of
software development. Customer service is given a top priority and many incentives are provided
to them. This makes the customers feel really happy about the services and facilities provided to
them. So the possibility of the customers returning back is very high. This is a major reason for the
success of the company.
Summary
Harrah s had initially used enterprise data warehouse from Teradata. They have now expanded their
database system since their customer base has increased. They make use of Teradata Priority
Scheduler and Teradata Dynamic Query Manager. In order to protect their system from external
attackers and to ensure total safety, Harrah s makes use of Teradata Dual Active Solutions. This
system is useful to identify customers that come for the first time and it provides services and
offers tailor made for them. The system can also alert the staff of a customer who has returned
after a very long time and make a customized greeting for such return customers. This will make the
customers feel special

Theme Of Feminism In Oleanna
Oleanna is undoubtedly a controversial play. Due to a lack of background information and a
plethora of ambiguousness, the characters and situation can be read in numerous different ways.
The strongest rhetoric in Oleanna seems to align with anti feminists. Anti feminists may see the
play as vindication for their prejudices and stereotypes against women. It seems that this play could
cause more grief and misunderstandings between two groups that have been rife with troubles for
ages. During the first reading of this screenplay, there are many clear anti feminist messages. Later
on in the play, Carol makes references to her group. It can be assumed that her group is a group of
feminists. With this dogmatism, anti feminist readers can augment... Show more content on

than an even number. Therefore if you have more than one subject in your picture, the suggestion
is to choose an arrangement with at least three subjects to make it symmetrical and visually

there has been urgent demand for scientists to develop intelligent systems to support cognitively

As a potential solution, assistive technology (AT) has always been seen as a reasonable approach to

With the constraints of the suggested systems, the authors propose an idea to provide a solution
that overcomes the problems stated above. The proposition is to develop a nonintrusive system
that is able to recognise electrical activities via electrical appliances by monitoring the signals
from the main panel. This approach is less intrusive as it only requires one sensor; it is able to
support cognitively impaired people in their ADL by sending prompts via electrical devices. The
idea of the nonintrusive system is an extension but focuses on electrical appliances and how it can
send prompts to the patients of it also focuses on the previous work of the nonintrusive appliance

To justify the idea the proposed, a series of experiments are undertaken. This consists of
implementing the system into a real smart home with a single power analyser at the main electrical

The Holy Bible as a Sustained Allusion Essay
The Bible as a Sustained Allusion
The Bible is a sustained allusion throughout the course of East of Eden, paralleling with the
eternal story of Cain and Abel. According to the Bible, Cain is the quot;tiller of the ground quot;
(Genesis 4:2). Caleb Trask, a farmer at heart, made a vast amount of money by selling beans. Upon
presenting Adam with his present of fifteen thousand dollars, Adam not only discarded the gift, but
caused Cal pain by comparing him to his godly brother, Aron, who graduated high school and
started college at an early age. Adam wished that Cal could have given him something to be proud
of something momentous. Adam s reaction induced Cal with excessive wrath out of rejection. In

With the help of Samuel Hamilton, Adam s benign neighbor, Adam s farm immediately started

felt an ominous chill of calamity. After delivering her twin boys, Cathy desperately tried to
leave Adam, and when he restrained her, she brutally shot him in the shoulder and departed.
While sprawled on the floor, soaking in a pool of his own blood, Adam faintly heard quot;the
monotonous sound that had been there all along . . . the cry of the twins, wanting their dinner.
He had forgotten to feed them quot; (266). The next time Samuel Hamilton dropped by the Trask
s place, he was appalled to discover that Adam had not named the twins yet. Referring to the Bible
belonging to his devout wife, Samuel and Adam arrived at the names Caleb and Aron. Ten years
later, when an elderly Samuel Hamilton stopped by to say goodbye to Adam and his family, Lee,
the Trask s learned servant, told Samuel of an interesting topic that had stimulated him. Since their
conversation ten years earlier, Lee researched the Bible story of Cain speaking to the Lord, and
found it intriguing that the Hebrew word to describe the lesson was timshel, meaning thou mayest.

The Classification Of Water Imagery Present Throughout...
Shakespeare is renowned for his vividly descriptive, original, and pioneering use of imagery in
many of his plays, but their effect on the audience s understanding of his plays is most obvious in
the tragedies, particularly in Macbeth. Images in Shakespeare s works are used, according to
Shakespeare critic G. Wilson Knight, to craft a play s atmosphere or the permeating tone or mood
of a play (3). However, this attitude between images and atmosphere creates an environment where
different definitions of images contribute to different interpretations of the subjective atmosphere
that is born out of each individual reader s perception of the play. Because of this discrepancy, a
strict definition of the term image should be observed. The term image will refer to physical objects
or actions that are used by Shakespeare to clarify broad themes and character insights throughout
the play. Specifically, the classification of water imagery present throughout Macbethwill be
discussed broadly to include descriptions of rain, water, and the act of cleansing with water,
whether or not they are real or imagined by the characters. Shakespeare uses all of these images to
create an atmosphere that highlights Macbeth and Lady Macbeth s guilt and their subsequent desire
to purify their tainted moralities. In addition to this, Macbeth will be interpreted through the lens of
correcting chaos into order. This righting of natural order is brought forth by the rainstorms of the
witches to

Recommendations for Nike
NIKE Executive Summary by Lawrence Gimeno Recommendations: Make it count My first
recommendation is directed at Nike s push into digital sports. In my opinion the new
accelerometer based Nike+ technology is the birth of a whole new generation of Nike products
and an amazing innovation to motivate people to include sports into their everyday life. Nike has
attained a leading role in almost every one of the upcoming world wide sporting events, such as
the 2012 Olympics, the 2012 Soccer Euro Cup, the NFL Superbowl, the 2014 Soccer World Cup
and the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. Therefore the time is now for Nike to embed
their customers and the fans of these major sporting events in the experience through their new

Looking at Nike s current flagship products and their presentations (NFL jerseys, Nike FlyKnit,
Nike+ Technology it is obvious that the company is trying to move in the same direction as one
company who mastered this strategy Apple. Furthermore I think that publicly announcing these
new product presentations and staging them in an interactive and fancy way as well as making
them available for live streaming around the world on Nike s website or Facebook would
quickly educate the potential customer and create the same kind of demand like Apple is
enjoying for their iPhone, iPad and Mac product lines. Right now Nike is working on the
development of a self lacing shoe as seen in the movie Back to the Future 2 worn by the
character Marty McFly . The company has acquired 65 patents in the process of constructing the
shoe. The release of the shoe is rumored to take place in 2015, the year in which the movie takes
place. Personally I see three potential outcomes of this move by Nike. First of all, this technology
is applicable to the athletic footwear products as well and could revolutionize the fit of athletic
shoes, giving Nike a further advantage over it s competitors by owning a product that is very hard
to emulate. Secondly it boosts the brands aura and identity significantly, which leads me to my next
point of Nike maybe moving into the fashion industry with this cult object. However Nike has not
yet confirmed any of this strategies.

Sand Mining Pollution
Frac Sand Mining: Killing Natural Habitats and Polluting the Environment
I remember walking on the rocky shore of an endless, blue lake and feeling the fresh breeze
shield me from the brutal, summer heat. My Uncle and I used to take out a Piragus canoe and
paddle across the lake s vastness as I peered down into the glassy water and clearly saw the castle
rock formations. The fish quickly swam in and out of their hiding places like swarms of people
making their way to work on a busy New York morning. The lake breathed with life and
movement. Rolling green bluffs encircled the lake, creating a storybook like haven. So many
beautiful woodlands and waterways like this continue to disappear due to the frac sand mining
industry. Towering machinery replaces billowing trees with piles of red, earthy mounds, and the
heavy clanking of metal on metal echoes across the land. Frac mining and fracking scars the land
around it indefinitely. I am not an expert on environmental habitats or the mining industry, but my
love for the outdoors and fishing drives me to investigate the harmful effects of frac sand mining.
The frac sand mining industry exploits the remaining wilderness of Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois,
and surrounding states by selfishly polluting the environment; taking millions of gallons of water
from freshwater resources, and disturbing essential minerals from the ground, thus prohibiting
future habitat growth and creating significant health issues due to a surplus of dust.

The Human Of Human Trafficking Essay
Although slavery was abolished in 1865, the practice of it is still very alive today. Human
trafficking, a form of modern slavery, is the buying and selling of people, whether it s for forced
labor or commercial sex. Every year, thousands of adults and children, especially girls, are forced
into the endless trafficking ring. The International Labour Organization estimates that there are 20.9
million victims of human traffickingglobally ( The Facts ). The human trafficking industry is a
worldwide network that is worth an estimated 150 billion dollars ( The Facts ). Millions of
stories about victims experiences can be found and read. Many of these victims are sucked into
the world of human trafficking because they are immigrants trying to escape to the U.S. and have
debts to pay off once they get there. Trafficking happens everywhere, from big city shopping
centers, to small town massage parlors. People are being captured, sold and transported across the
world via various forms of transportation at all times. With updated technology, it becomes easier
and easier to buy and sell these slaves and with this, the chances of being caught and punished is
almost nothing. Many people think slaveryis dead; however, human trafficking is still alive and it
needs to be stopped because many people are being forced into involuntary sex and labor.
Normally, human trafficking can be identified as one of two different kinds of trafficking. The two
kinds of trafficking are known as

Roth provides numerous examples of people who use regularly use excuses to manage everyday life; however, he also plays the devil s advocate when stating that excuses may help you in the current situation but will it assist you at all in the long run? In the second chapter of his book, Roth classifies the use of excuses into several categories; ethically, logically, and emotionally. Although I understand Roth s beliefs, there are multiple areas I fundamentally disagree with. Such as, some excuses must be explained no matter what the circumstances were since the reasoning is important. Roth would rebuttal by saying reasons have no meaning which in turn goes back to having no excuses. Utilizing an abundance of forms of thinking, is Roth s strategy when emphasizing his point. He explains to every studentthe three possible rationalizations for excuses. Once again, he suggests every excuse is bullshit, and has no place in an individual s life. Excuses ultimately hamper an individual s ability to reach for his or her dreams. Bernard Roth, author of, The Achievement Habit, stop wishing, start doing and take control of your life effectively uses Aristotle s rhetorical triangle in chapter two, his argument contains ethos, pathos, and logos to authenticate the thought that the reasons are bullshit. Roth s credibility and experience are ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 7. The Pros And Cons Of The Western Union Why has Western Union been able to adapt to severe disruptions and survive over so many years? It never confused the business it was in with the way it conducted its business. At its core, Western Union was about facilitating person to person communications and money transfers whether via telegraph, wireless networks, phone, or the Internet. We always saw ourselves as a communications company, says President Christina Gold. Contrast that with Kodak. By defining itself too narrowly as a product company all those years, it was headed for a fall. Kodak teetered on the precipice and with it stands some of the other once great businesses of the 20th century, from autos to newspapers. • 8. Q A Case Study 3.a. Brands cannot be expected to last forever versus there is no reason for a brand to ever become obsolete. In reality brands can exist forever if they are managed to stay in step with their target customers unmet needs, preferences, wants and strive to exceed their expectations. Brand familiarity and execution are key to the longevity of any marketing strategy, and to attain this over time brand marketers must stay agile enough to shift with customer s needs, both actual and planned (Palmer, 2010). Consider Proctor Gamble and their approach to branding soap over the last one hundred years, where the product itself was changing and continually improving yet the brand equity accumulated over decades of consistent execution (Srivastava, 2009). The ability of a brand to stay agile and take risks is also predicated on how much trust it has created and keeps fueling over time with its customer bases as well (Urde, 1994). A brand can survive over a very long time by concentrating on the customer first and their needs, making those the galvanizing force of the entire branding network (Sarkar, Singh, 2005). Brands can continue on in perpetuity if they also stay true to the unique and most differentiation aspects of the businesses they work to represent. Brands in many cases will drive an entire company to revolutionize key processes, systems, and roles of key people in the organization to stay more in step with customer needs (Sarkar, Singh, 2005). • 11. Roles Of Public And Public Policy Roles of Public Administrators in the Policy Process The formulation and implementation of public policy benefit the public. Therefore, public policy is a framework whereby the government pursues its action plan. Moreover, it is a course of action aimed at responding to a problem and achieving a goal. Consequently, the formulation of a policyadheres to a particular political process, and it is enforced and implemented by a public agency. As stated, public policy affects the public, meaning that it has an effect on the people and how they live. Subsequently, public policy should cover the needs of the people and enhance their lives. Not all the people can participate in the policy process, and as a result, those professions that have a direct interaction with the public can play a big role in representing it in the policy process. Thus, public administrators are best suited to represent the public in the policy process because they understand needs of the public, the policy process, and where and when they can influence this process. Policy Design Public administrators should understand that in a bureaucratic system, they are essential for good governance. Thus, they are in a position to represent the public and its needs to the government (Warner, 2001). As stated earlier, the role of policies is to provide a framework for solving problems. Students usually loath being assigned homework and being required to complete it. Teachers find it difficult to assign homework, knowing that their students aren t motivated to do it. Furthermore, parents mull over on getting their children to complete their homework because they believe it needs to be completed if educators have assigned it. However, recently there has been proof that assigning homework might not benefit students as much as previously conceived. Schools and educators have claimed that homework improves students academic performance and academic comprehension. After careful analysis, the actuality is that large amounts of homework have more negative consequences than positive ones. Assigning students large amounts of homework invites unnecessary, undesired, and unimportant conflict or stress in the lives of students. The conflict begins at school between the teacher and the student. When students come to school with incomplete homework, they are either penalized or scolded by their teachers. Next, the teachers will notify the student s parents in an attempt to get the student to complete the homework assignments. Usually, parents are unsatisfied to hear that their student isn t completing the work that is required. The students will have to accept the consequences at school and at home. Metal Chelation is a process when a polyvalent metal ion form covalent bonds with a drug and binds tightly to form a 5 or 6 membered ring. 5 and 6 membered ring structure are very stable because their bond angle has no ring strain. Thus, when a compound is chelated, it will not be able to pass through the biological membrane, in another words, it will not be metabolise by the body but to be pass through the renal without being absorbed and being excreted though urine. Essential metal such as magnesium, iron, calcium and zinc are easily found in many food source and is vital to be included as part of our diet as these trace elements are helping our body enzymes, hormones and cells to work. The Holy Bible as a Sustained Allusion Essay The Bible as a Sustained Allusion The Bible is a sustained allusion throughout the course of East of Eden, paralleling with the eternal story of Cain and Abel. According to the Bible, Cain is the quot;tiller of the ground quot; (Genesis 4:2). Caleb Trask, a farmer at heart, made a vast amount of money by selling beans. Upon presenting Adam with his present of fifteen thousand dollars, Adam not only discarded the gift, but caused Cal pain by comparing him to his godly brother, Aron, who graduated high school and started college at an early age. Adam wished that Cal could have given him something to be proud of something momentous. Adam s reaction induced Cal with excessive wrath out of rejection. In the Bible, the Lord quot;had ... With the help of Samuel Hamilton, Adam s benign neighbor, Adam s farm immediately started to prosper. Samuel took to liking the intent Adam right away, however, upon meeting Cathy, he felt an ominous chill of calamity. After delivering her twin boys, Cathy desperately tried to leave Adam, and when he restrained her, she brutally shot him in the shoulder and departed. While sprawled on the floor, soaking in a pool of his own blood, Adam faintly heard quot;the monotonous sound that had been there all along . . . the cry of the twins, wanting their dinner. He had forgotten to feed them quot; (266). The next time Samuel Hamilton dropped by the Trask s place, he was appalled to discover that Adam had not named the twins yet. Referring to the Bible belonging to his devout wife, Samuel and Adam arrived at the names Caleb and Aron. Ten years later, when an elderly Samuel Hamilton stopped by to say goodbye to Adam and his family, Lee, the Trask s learned servant, told Samuel of an interesting topic that had stimulated him. Since their conversation ten years earlier, Lee researched the Bible story of Cain speaking to the Lord, and found it intriguing that the Hebrew word to describe the lesson was timshel, meaning thou mayest. • 36. The Classification Of Water Imagery Present Throughout... Shakespeare is renowned for his vividly descriptive, original, and pioneering use of imagery in many of his plays, but their effect on the audience s understanding of his plays is most obvious in the tragedies, particularly in Macbeth. Images in Shakespeare s works are used, according to Shakespeare critic G. Wilson Knight, to craft a play s atmosphere or the permeating tone or mood of a play (3). However, this attitude between images and atmosphere creates an environment where different definitions of images contribute to different interpretations of the subjective atmosphere that is born out of each individual reader s perception of the play. Because of this discrepancy, a strict definition of the term image should be observed. The term image will refer to physical objects or actions that are used by Shakespeare to clarify broad themes and character insights throughout the play. Specifically, the classification of water imagery present throughout Macbethwill be discussed broadly to include descriptions of rain, water, and the act of cleansing with water, whether or not they are real or imagined by the characters. Shakespeare uses all of these images to create an atmosphere that highlights Macbeth and Lady Macbeth s guilt and their subsequent desire to purify their tainted moralities. In addition to this, Macbeth will be interpreted through the lens of correcting chaos into order. This righting of natural order is brought forth by the rainstorms of the witches to ... • 37. Recommendations for Nike NIKE Executive Summary by Lawrence Gimeno Recommendations: Make it count My first recommendation is directed at Nike s push into digital sports. In my opinion the new accelerometer based Nike+ technology is the birth of a whole new generation of Nike products and an amazing innovation to motivate people to include sports into their everyday life. Nike has attained a leading role in almost every one of the upcoming world wide sporting events, such as the 2012 Olympics, the 2012 Soccer Euro Cup, the NFL Superbowl, the 2014 Soccer World Cup and the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. Therefore the time is now for Nike to embed their customers and the fans of these major sporting events in the experience through their new technology.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Looking at Nike s current flagship products and their presentations (NFL jerseys, Nike FlyKnit, Nike+ Technology it is obvious that the company is trying to move in the same direction as one company who mastered this strategy Apple. Furthermore I think that publicly announcing these new product presentations and staging them in an interactive and fancy way as well as making them available for live streaming around the world on Nike s website or Facebook would quickly educate the potential customer and create the same kind of demand like Apple is enjoying for their iPhone, iPad and Mac product lines. Right now Nike is working on the development of a self lacing shoe as seen in the movie Back to the Future 2 worn by the character Marty McFly . The company has acquired 65 patents in the process of constructing the shoe. The release of the shoe is rumored to take place in 2015, the year in which the movie takes place. Personally I see three potential outcomes of this move by Nike. First of all, this technology is applicable to the athletic footwear products as well and could revolutionize the fit of athletic shoes, giving Nike a further advantage over it s competitors by owning a product that is very hard to emulate. Secondly it boosts the brands aura and identity significantly, which leads me to my next point of Nike maybe moving into the fashion industry with this cult object. However Nike has not yet confirmed any of this strategies. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 41. Sand Mining Pollution Frac Sand Mining: Killing Natural Habitats and Polluting the Environment I remember walking on the rocky shore of an endless, blue lake and feeling the fresh breeze shield me from the brutal, summer heat. My Uncle and I used to take out a Piragus canoe and paddle across the lake s vastness as I peered down into the glassy water and clearly saw the castle rock formations. The fish quickly swam in and out of their hiding places like swarms of people making their way to work on a busy New York morning. The lake breathed with life and movement. Rolling green bluffs encircled the lake, creating a storybook like haven. So many beautiful woodlands and waterways like this continue to disappear due to the frac sand mining industry. Towering machinery replaces billowing trees with piles of red, earthy mounds, and the heavy clanking of metal on metal echoes across the land. Frac mining and fracking scars the land around it indefinitely. I am not an expert on environmental habitats or the mining industry, but my love for the outdoors and fishing drives me to investigate the harmful effects of frac sand mining. The frac sand mining industry exploits the remaining wilderness of Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, and surrounding states by selfishly polluting the environment; taking millions of gallons of water from freshwater resources, and disturbing essential minerals from the ground, thus prohibiting future habitat growth and creating significant health issues due to a surplus of dust. ...
