Essay About Against Abortion
Composing an essay on the topic of "Against Abortion" is indeed a challenging endeavor, as it
involves navigating through a highly sensitive and controversial subject matter. The difficulty lies
not only in presenting a well-reasoned argument but also in addressing the emotional and ethical
dimensions associated with the topic. Crafting an essay that effectively conveys a stance against
abortion requires thorough research, a nuanced understanding of diverse perspectives, and the
ability to communicate ideas persuasively.
One of the complexities arises from the fact that abortion is a deeply personal and emotionally
charged issue, with individuals holding varying beliefs and values. Striking a balance between
presenting a compelling argument and maintaining empathy for those with opposing views is a
delicate task. Additionally, the essay must grapple with the legal and ethical aspects surrounding
abortion, delving into the rights of the woman versus the rights of the unborn.
To build a convincing case against abortion, the writer needs to synthesize information from
medical, ethical, religious, and legal perspectives. This demands a comprehensive exploration of
scientific data, philosophical arguments, and the examination of religious doctrines—all while
ensuring the essay remains coherent and focused.
Furthermore, addressing counterarguments and potential rebuttals is crucial to fortify the essay's
credibility. Anticipating and effectively responding to opposing viewpoints demonstrates a depth
of understanding and intellectual rigor. However, this adds another layer of complexity, as the
writer must carefully navigate through the nuances of different perspectives without dismissing
them outright.
In conclusion, writing an essay against abortion is a challenging task that requires a delicate
balance between presenting a well-informed argument and acknowledging the emotional
complexities surrounding the topic. It demands extensive research, empathy, and the ability to
navigate through the intricacies of the abortion debate. For those seeking assistance with such

A History of Product Placement in Film and Television
A History of Product Placement in Film and Television
Peter Rush Product placement in the marketing world has become more and more
evident in the past few decades. More specifically, product placement in the movie
industry has been one of the most successful ways to advertise products. Oftentimes,
products are associated with a film, or vice versa. Such is the case with Reese s
Pieces candies and Stephen Spielberg s film, E.T . While it is a very expensive
way of companies to advertise their brands, it is one that pays off immensely if
executed properly. Although it seems as if product placement in film and television
is a relatively new way of marketing products to the public, it has been around as
early as the late ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
But although some of the Edison films were obvious offers of products and
services, product placements as subtle efforts to influence audience attitude and
behavior became a specialty of Edison s. His catalog listed hundreds of
travelogues, such as trips to the Far West, Niagara Falls, and Hawaii, along with
dozens of railroad films. The business of product placement had begun. In the
United States, cinematic art and business intertwined in the 1910s and 1920s as
manufacturers and government distributed advertising films that combined drama
and commerce to the small town circuit. Producers of these films included
International Harvester, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and the YMCA. From
1914 to 1921, Ford Motor Company created a series of newsreels titled Ford
Animated Weekly and Ford Educational Weekly. A typical serial included Model T
races and news footage that sometimes incorporated Henry Ford meeting with
government officials. These advertising films were distributed at low cost to
exhibitors and found an early approval in small towns, with Ford claiming a
viewership of 3 million per week (Journal of Broadcasting and Electronic Media,
2006). Not only did the product placement within the movie help to reimburse both
parties of the agreement, but the American films initiated a worldwide trade in
American products as well.

Shawshank Redemption Reflection
The movie our class watched and reviewing is Shawshank Redemption. This movie
is directed by Frank Darabot and the producer of the film is Niki Marvin. The
movie was released on October 14th, 1994. Shawshank Redemption is a R Rated
movie, which, is intended for the mature. Andy Dufresne is the main character in this
film, Andy was acted out by Tim Robbins. There is a narrator in the movie (which,
narrators about Andy as time goes by in Shawshank prison) was narrated by Morgan
Freeman. This narrator is Ellis Boyd Redding or Red, an inmate and friend to Andy.
The last characters I believe to play a major role in the movie is the Warden of
Shawshank, Warden Norton is played by Bob Gunton; and Captain Hadley (Clancy
Brown).
Andy Dufresne was a successful Vice President banker, that was tried and
convicted for the murder of his wife and the man whom his wife cheated on. In
1947, Andy was sent to Shawshank to serve two murder charges or two life
sentences. Dufresne arrives at Shawshank with a bus full of new inmates and
meets the guards and Warden Norton. The first years (two years) are brutal for
Andy. He doesn t really have any friends and he is harassed by a group of people
called the sisters. Overtime he builds a relationship with Red and the other friends
of Red. He shows off his banker skills with Hadley and becomes a pet to the Warden.
The Warden helps Andy with harassment from the sisters and excuses labor for him.
Officer Hadley ends up beating the sister that assaulted

Target Oil Spill
As a result of the major oil spill that happened recently in the United States,
unemployment is expected to rise along the gulf coast. It is estimated that this oil
spill will pull the already high unemployment national average up to 11 12%.
Consumer spending will drop as a result of this, damaging the regional economy.
This would have an impact on Target s sales along the gulf coast, considering that
places on the gulf coast were some of the major spots for tourism here in the
United States. If we have goods being shipped to us from other suppliers, the oil
spill could potentially affect them and we could have a shortage of goods and
merchandise. This would cost a loss of sales and impact our revenues and expenses
on the financial statements. This would also cause us to lose customers if we do not

ensure that they get the same great price and as an apology for the inconvenience.
Gift cards could also be used as a promotion tactic to keep the customers buying other

Praise Of Bill Peters, Coach Of The Carolina Hurricanes
In Praise of Bill Peters
Now firmly into his third season as a head coach in the NHL, Bill Peters, coach of
the Carolina Hurricanes, has a lot of work in front of him to get this team into post
season contention. Through his first two years with the organization, Peters is still
yet to participate in the playoffs. In fact, it has been seven years since Carolina last
saw the playoffs.
Peters current lack of post season success shouldn t be an immediate point for
concern, as he came into the team during a major recession in terms of team talent.
Most notably offensive stars Alexander Semin and Eric Staal both had major drops
in terms of point production during Peters first two seasons, both see their way out of
Carolina.
It appears though for this season the pieces are beginning to fall into place for Peters
vision of this team. Their level of play over the past few games has been as high as it
has ever been in recent years, as the team as a whole is able to play effectively in all
ends.
This quick turnover time shouldn t come as a shock to anyone given Bill Peters
outstanding performances behind the bench for other teams.
Spokane Chiefs
Bill Peters first major coaching job came in Major Junior as an assistant coach for
the Spokane Chiefs of the WHL. The Three Hills native would serve there as an
assistant under then head coach, and current Toronto head coach Mike Babcockfrom

Justification We Are Saved From The Guilt Of God
By justification we are saved from the guilt of sin and restored to the favour of
God. But how can one be assured their faith has been justified? Assurance was a
heated debate during the reformation period. It is apparent that Wesley wrestled
with how to verbalize this piece of salvation puzzle as his critics found his ideas to
be contradictory at times. For sake of clarity, only the explicable attributes for
assurance will be brought forth. First and foremost, God is the source of assurance
and not the individual. Secondly, the fruits of the Spirit are testimony or evidence
of justified faith. The Spirit of God does give a believer such a testimony of his
adoption that while it is present to the soul he can no more doubt the reality of his
sonship than he can doubt of the shining of the sun while he stands in the full blaze
of his beams. In other words, a person is assured that their faith has justified them
from being a servant of God to being a child of God because of the witnessed fruits
or signs of the Holy Spiritworking within their heart. A third attribute is that
assurance is self evident. Even though he spoke in absolute tones, Wesley
contemplated assurance for many years as he reconciled the experience of others.
This eventually led him to acknowledge the idea that assurance could vary for certain
people, in extreme circumstance at most. He also conceded from personal experience
that the intensity of assurance can change over time. How, then, does
Presentation In The Military
Presentations can be unforgettable. They cause us to envision possibilities and
contemplate the future. Unfortunately they can also be unforgettable in how they
make us suffer. They can be tedious. Both examples were apparent during my 24 year
career in the military.
Bovee and Thill state, Planning oral presentations are much like planning any other
business message: You analyze the situation, gather information, select the right
medium, and organize the information (p.434). Presentations in my organization
accomplish this and other times don t. Usually one can tell when this has been done
and when it hasn t. Several are effective and others aren t.
There are basic reasons why specific presentations capture attention and certain don t.
One of the biggest problems with presentations in our workplace is, redundancy. They
pound the same information repeatedly. There have been presentations delivered,
where person decided that a word or point needed to change that would create little to
no difference in the presentation; however, we would be required to view another
presentation of the same material, occasionally less than a month after having it
presented. This goes against one of Bovee and Thills purpose for a message, Will
anything change as a result of your message (p. 94).
Others are quite the opposite. There are times we have ... Show more content on

Several had no experience or training at all. Other had a little. However, when
presented a task to craft a presentation they would always try the best they could.
One could realize their inexperience in areas of confidence and practice. In our
reading it says, Stop worrying about being perfect (Bovee Thill, 2016 p. 448).
Several of the junior members would become frustrated over making mistakes. If one
happened, you could notice them unravel during their presentations. They would
forget that we all make mistakes, even when we
Hills Like White Elephants Character Analysis
How does the way people portray themselves reveal more about them and the life they
live? Paying close attention to the emotions of a character and their actions can allow
for more comprehension. The use of characterization within the story Hills Like
White Elephants aids the reader to further understand the persona of an individual. In
return, this allows the reader to understand them on a deeper level with a powerful
connection. Without characterization, it would be difficult for the individual reading
to form a bond with the man and the girl because they wouldn t truly understand what
they re going through. In Hills Like White Elephants , by Ernest Hemingway, the
American s dialogue, the way the girl converses and where their eyes wander give
insight on how the man and the girl have communication difficulties.
Throughout the story, it s made evident through dialogue that the man has a strong
need to assert his dominance which damages his relationship with the girl. Firstly, the
man appears to have total control within their relationship, even with uncomplicated
factors. When they order drinks, the man says, Let s drink beer. , and he simply
orders them following this statement. The girl can easily make this straightforward
decision herself, but the man feels the need to take complete control. Also, when it
comes to crucial life matters, the American still asserts his dominance. The need for
the man to have control when it comes to important matters is seen when
Using The Pulse Echo Principle ( Venables 2011a )
Sound is a mechanical wave, propagating through a medium in order for it to travel
(Venables 2011a). Ultrasound is defined as high frequency sound waves, above the
audible range i.e. 20 kHz (Zidan et al. 2011). These waves are formed using the
pulse echo principle (Venables 2011a). This principle refers to the piezoelectric
crystals which are situated in the transducer. When an alternating electrical voltage is
applied across the transducer element (Lieu 2010), the element undergoes a series of
compressions and rarefactions, resulting in electrical energy being converted into
mechanical waves (ultrasound). These ultrasound waves propagate through tissues
until they reach an acoustic interface. It is here where there is a change in
impedance (an acoustic boundary) (Venables 2011a, that ultrasound waves will be
reflected back to the transducer as echoes. These reflected echoes are then turned
into an electrical signal and displayed on the ultrasound image as shades of grey,
ranging from black to white.
For the best possible image to be achieved, ultrasound requires good spatial
resolution. Spatial resolution is the ability of two structures which are close together
to be seen as separate, along the axis and perpendicular to the ultrasound beam
(Gibbs et al. 2009). Good spatial resolution corresponds to an optimum axial and
lateral resolution. Axial resolution depends on the spatial pulse length, if the pulse
length is decreased better axial resolution will be achieved. This
Aristotle s Notions Of Virtues Essay
Aristotle s notions of virtues are the heart of the subject matter in Aretaic Ethics. The
concept of Aretaic ethics comes from the Greek word arete which translates as human
excellence or excellence of character, virtue (Virtue Ethics, 2013). Virtue ethics
emphasizes being a certain person with certain quality of character. Its basic concept
is that the virtueor value of the actions is not in the act itself, rather it is in the heart
of the actor. Though it may seem not overly compatible with today s notions, I
believe Aristotle s notions of virtues are an important precursor towards self
fulfillment and harmonized society.
The heart of virtue ethics is the search for eudaimonia translated in Greek for
happiness or to the concept of human flourishing (Nagel, 1972). Aristotle believes
that everything has a natural telos , an aim or a goal towards which things are
headed. For humans, the natural telos is ultimate happiness which could be
achieved through flourishing in all aspects of our lives. Virtue or excellence is a
necessary condition for happiness. So what is virtue? According to Aristotle, virtue
is a concept which exists as the mean between excess and deficiency (Sandel, 2010).
It can be viewed as the middle point between having too much and having too little.
So implementing specific virtues alongside practical wisdom over our lives would
allow us to flourish leading towards happiness.
I believe that applying Aristotle s notions of virtue alongside practical
Cranial Kinesis Research Paper
Cranial kinesis describes the movement of skull bones in relation to each other in
addition to movement at the joint between the upper jaw and the braincase. Anthony
Herrel, Peter Aerts and Frits De Vree conducted an investigation at the University of
Antwerp in Belgium on cranial kinesis. The purpose of their study was to examine
the functional implications of cranial kinesis in geckos. Most vertebrates have some
form of a kinetic skull. Versley describes three types of cranial kinesis; streptostyly,
the movement of the quadrate; metakinesis, a movement of the braincase;
mesokinesis, a movement of the plato maxillary. Other research on cranial kinesis
have been done but is linked to feeding. According to Herrel et al., there have been

where it is explained.
The debt line is steeper than the equity line because use of debt financing causes
EPS to change at a greater rate as EBIT changes the essence of financial leverage.
The double edged sword aspect of financial leverage as the lines diverge from the
indifference level the gap between EPS with debt and EPS with equity widens. The
right hand divergence is good financial leverage helps. The left hand divergence is
bad financial leverage hurts. The EBIT Chart helps display the EBIT EPS
relationship for any level of EBIT in any year.

Importance Of Travel To Travel Essay
Family, new experiences and memories are three things I get from buying a ticket
to travel. Buying a ticket to travel outside the country can open so many doors and
can teach you a lot from the other places you visit. My whole life I have been
traveling in and out of mexico and that is my favorite place to go. Growing up
getting use to going to Mexico I paid little attention to what was actually going on
when i would travel. Traveling truly meant getting away from reality, having
freedom, and getting to know yourself better. These three things have been
developing every time i would travel and will continue every single time i continue
to repeat the pattern. Many new possibilities can appear just by buying a single ticket
that can help you view everything differently in a matter of time.
Getting the news from my parents that they had already bought the flight tickets
was almost as important as the day of actually getting there. I remember my
favorite part was being able to see the ticket that gave me motivation to perform my

that soon in would be able to spend time with my family. Spending time with my
family has always been by far my favorite thing to do when I am in mexico because it
is not a everyday thing where i can go visit my grandparents. As i spend time with
them i get to learn a lot of where my parents came from and i get to know myself

Phil Knight s Interventions
Nike and the University of Oregon have a questionable connection. Their relationship
has been controversial because of Nike CEO Phil Knight s interventions with the
Oregon football team. Knight, along with another donor, donated $90 million for the
university football stadium s renovation. Knight also spent $15 million to build an
indoor practice facility for the Oregonfootballteam (Sharp, 2011). Thanks to Knight,
Oregon s sports facilities have become more and more extravagant. In 2003, a two
story football locker room alone cost over $3.2 million. In 2007, another $ 10
million was spent on the Athletic Medicine Center (Sharp, 2011). Besides sports
facilities, Phil Knight also helped renovate the library and law center using his own
and others money. Nike also provides... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The masses didn t respond quite positively to what Phil Knight has done for the
University of Oregon. Some people believe that what Knight had done destroyed
the spirit of sports and it reflected negatively on Nike. It is not Nike that
empowered the athletes; it s money. The project that Phil Knight took on is not a
personal endeavor; he actually used his CEO title to entice other people to donate
as well. As the Oregon student athletes become more privileged and have access to
the most luxurious facilities (Bishop, 2013), more people think that Nike has
brought unfairness to the sports. Other people believe that these athletes are being
exploited for Nike s marketing schemes and Knight has used his donation to sway
the affairs of the university in his favor (Sharp, 2011). Also, when Knight wants to
make a donation, he asks for the access of the land, which cuts off the public bidding
process, makes the system somewhat corrupt. Regardless of Knight s intent, his

Summary: In this text, Hungry for Worship, authors Frank Page and L. Gray write
about the hunger for worshipping God that all leaders should possess. In chapter 1,

They give examples from C.S. Lewis when discussing this subject. They quote Lewis
with the term Chronological snobbery . This term means that while older generations
only find value in the traditions and heritage of our faith, the younger generations
only find relevance in what is current. They also write this type of separation
between the young and old has effectively begun dismembering the body of Christ
limb by limb. The authors also put focus on the act of individual preferences through
church shopping. This according to Page and Gray, result in the encouraging of
churches to offer consumer driven programming in order to keep members on their
rolls. They give scripture which identifies the importance of unity. Ephesians 4:14 16
shows how the body of Christ should be unified in the midst of diversity. Leaders
should work extra hard to keep the church family worshipping together. The authors
condemn chronological snobbery and suggest that both the young and old come
together. The young generation must grow up and the older generation needs to
adapt. Analysis: The authors point out a huge problem that is alive and well in the
church. Due to personal preferences, the church has separated itself from one another.
Not only are different cultures separate but the age differences within the church are
separated amongst themselves. The leaders of worship within the church whether
they are pastors or worship band leaders must not
Employment Discrimination Within The Workplace
Employment Discrimination in Indonesia
As stated on wikipedia.org, discrimination is action that denies social participation
or human rights to categories of people based on prejudice. This includes treatment
of an individual or group based on their actual or perceived membership in a certain
group or social category, in a way that is worse than the way people are usually

from punishments and indirect discrimination could come up from strict rules or

female gender, it occurs when there is a difference treatment in electing a leader

it happens when an employee paid a monthly salary and it was not worth his or her

Irony Of Empathy In Raymond Carver s Cathedral

Looking beyond Empathy is the ability to understand and vicariously share the
feelings and thoughts of other people. Empathic feelings are fundamental for humans
in social and interpersonal life because they enable human beings to tune their mental
states to their social environment as well as to understand others intentions, actions,
and behaviors. In particular, empathy for pain is a source of deep emotional feelings
and a strong trigger of prosocial behavior. In the fictional short Cathedral , written by
Raymond Carver, the author cast significant irony: a narrator who ignorantly disdains
blindness while being oblivious to his own limitations in sight. In parallel, Flight

Disadvantages Of Deep Learning
Deep Learning which developed as a Machine Learning approach has become very
popular nowadays. It helps in dealing with complex problem with a greater
understanding. Traditional Machine Learning model used to solve problems
successfully where final output was a simple function of input data, whereas Deep
Learning can capture composite relations. Deep Learning is basically learning data
representations which is all about making things and presenting to real audiences. In
order to master the various aspects of Deep Learning one requires proficiency of core
academic content, critical thinking, analytical thinking and self directed learning. It
consists of mathematical models, which can be termed as composition of same type
of functions wherein some of the functions can be changed so as to predict the final
value. Human computer interactions are based on the belief of... Show more content

Some of these models need input parameter from the user, thus are heuristically
designed and hence performance might depend on characteristic of parameters and
input image. Some of the new learning based methods overcome above problems
and give solutions to complex problems. It is for this reason that deep neural
networks have recently seen an impressive comeback. CNN (Convolutional Neural
Network) used in Deep learning for image restoration, works by averaging out the
output of various trained network to the same input. Neural Networks have
numerous application in several areas of image processing. It is used for
classifying the image and the mathematical analysis of CNN operates feature
extraction first and then give the results to trainable classifier. This model works by
training the network to reconstruct high quality images from degraded or blurred
input images. The model gives promising results from the learned set of denoisers
and also can be used for low level applications to deliver high performance
Music Appreciation Of The New York Philharmonic
The paper at hand is a music appreciation of The New York Philharmonic s
performance of Gustav Holst s The Planets at Avery Fisher Hall, New York, on 7th
July 2013 at 3:00 p.m. This tenth season of Summertime Classics, presented by The
New York Philharmonic, features Bramwell Tovey, who has been the host as well
as the conductor of this series since its commencement in 2004 (Gilbert, 2013, p.1).
Tovey, a Grammy winning conductor is renowned all around the world as a highly
versatile musician due to his artistic depth as well as charismatic personality that
reflects in his works as a composer and pianist (p.1). On the other hand, The New
York Philharmonic is an orchestragroup that is comprised of highly talented
musicians who by playing musical instruments such as violins, piccolo, cellos,
trombones etc are able to bring in the essence of the works done by original
composers (Keller, 2012, p.7).
This concert series basically features two programs with Holst s The Planets being
performed during the end of the second program, which also includes Adams Short
Ride in a Fast Machine, Offenbach s Ballet of the Snowflakes from Le Voyage dans
la lune and Josef Strauss s Music of the Spheres (New York Public Radio, 2013,
p.1). I happened to really enjoy the concert primarily due to the overall ambience
provided by the program. Tovey does a wonderful job in leading the orchestra as well
as maintaining a good rapport with the audience throughout the concert. It felt like the
Ford Mustang And The Chevrolet Camaro
GM and Ford team up again, but there are other partnerships between automotive
rivals to consider.
Who would have thunk it?! For 2017, the Ford Mustang and the Chevrolet Camaro
will share a 10 speed automatic transmission as a result of a collaborative
engineering effort between General Motors and the Ford Motor Company.
How s that again?
In 2013, Detroit s top rivals signed an agreement to jointly develop new 9 and 10
speed automatic transmissions with front and rear wheel drive variants. The
collaborative effort means both companies are able to design, engineer, establish, test,
corroborate and distribute new transmissions at a faster rate and for a lower cost than
they would have on their own.
Improved Performance, Better Efficiency
The effort has yielded a new 10 speed automatic transmission, one that will find its
way into various models over the next few years. That the two competing pony cars
will share the same transmission means one less important edge for both
manufacturers. Instead, the two companies will have to find other ways to beat each
other with such factors as horsepower, steering and handling, and aerodynamics
providing key differences.
At the same time, buyers of both models will enjoy two important benefits 10 speed
transmissions provide better off the line acceleration with a shorter first gear and
improved fuel economy with the taller top gears. (Jim, see the Popular Mechanics
explanation) Incidentally, the 10 speed will be the first we ve
Analysis Of The Film Limitless And Limitless Essay
An Analysis of the Film Limitless
Limitless is a United States English science fiction thriller film which was released
as at March 18, 2011.The film was directed by Neil Burger and produced by; Leslie
Dickson, Scott Troopf and Ryan Kavanaugh and the screenplay created by Leslie
Dickson. The story in the film is based on the cult novel by Alan Glynns, The Dark
Fields. Other than the stories collision of an anti drug morality tale and an anti
hubris morality tale, which is the aforementioned Faustian bargain, limitless is an
exciting example of a film which spends so much time on connecting the basic dots
of various over worn genres that it doesn t ultimately fit into any of them. It s an
indexed guide to our most obvious clichГ© about the danger and power of
intelligence, stripped of their darker, more interesting implication which triggers an
aspect of edge into the viewers.
The film is one of a kind based on the uniqueness and the interesting plot and
manages to grab the viewer s attention from the beginning of the film where the
audience is kind of given a taste of what the rest of the film would feel like. The film
revolves around a New York writer Eddie Morra (Bradley Cooper) who has been
shown to have quite a load of problems in his carrier and private life as well.
Eddie runs into Vernon, his ex brother in law, in the streets who introduces him to the
drug NZT. Eddie gets a little hesitant but being a mess that he is and having nothing

Characterism In Look Back In Anger By John Osborne
INTRODUCTION OF LOOK BACK IN ANGER The play Look Back in Anger
(1956) is written by John Osborne. The play is actually a love triangle involving
an educated young man of working class origin Jimmy Porter, his upper middle
class wife Alison, and her haughty best friend Helena Charles. Cliff, who is a true
friend to both Jimmy and Alison, and attempts to keep the peace. The play was a
huge success on the stage, and initiated the term angry young men to describe
Osborne and those of his generation who employed this harshness of realism in the
theatre. Look Back in Anger is thoroughly an autobiographical play in one respect.

Osborne wrote the play to express what it felt like to live in England during the
1950s. In the earlier times, very less attention was given to literature that reflected
the treatment and living circumstances experienced by the lower class people. John
Osborne was one of the leading literary figures of the Angry Young Men movement
. As the Angry Young Men movement began to popularize these themes, the
acceptance of related issues became more and more widespread. Osborne depicted
these issues within his play through the eyes of his protagonist, Jimmy. Throughout
the play, Jimmy was seeing the wrong people go hungry, the wrong people be
loved, the wrong people dying . Post world war, the quality of life in England for
lower class citizens was extremely poor; Osborne used this theme to demonstrate
how the state of Britain was guilty of neglect towards those that needed assistance
the most. In the play there are comparisons of educated people with savages, it also
highlights the major difference between classes. Alison remarks on this issue while
she, Jimmy and cliff are sharing an apartment, stating how she felt she had been
placed into a jungle . Jimmy was represented as an embodiment of the young,
rebellious post war generation that questioned the state and its actions. Look Back in
Anger provided some of its audience with the hope that Osborne s work would bring
revolution in the British theatre and enable it to act as a

Elihu In The Book Of Job
Suffering is so perverse in our world that we may even call it a part of the natural
human condition. No one is exempt from experiencing one form of hardship or
another at any point in life. What then is the ideal purpose of these afflictions ?
Aligning with Christian belief, I assume that God, beyond being both powerful and
knowledgeable, is also compassionate. As one who is as St. Augustine calls him
Goodness itself , how does Godtransform sufferings, commonly perceived to be evil,
to become something good? To answer this question, I turn to the speeches of Elihu
in the Book of Job. Unlike Job s other friends, Elihu argues that humans have much to
gain from sufferings. Additionally, I will also explore what God achieves on his part...

Tell me, if you have understanding. (Job 38:4, New Revised Standard Version)
When God appeared and spoke to Job, he talks about how he has not only created but
also maintained the world. God makes decisions in a bigger context and focuses on
the underlying mechanisms that allow life to exist on this world. Faith tells us to
trust in this better judgment that has conquered the test of time, as he has sustained
us from creation until today.
God spoke about his creations and how he manages to sustain them every day. This
shows that God is a god of life by the way he tends to the natural world. While there
are many things that we do not know about God, what we do know is that as a God
of life, he seeks to offer life to us by guiding us to humble ourselves, reject sins, and
repent. One way he does so is through sufferings, which may be interpreted as
injustice, punishment or death, when it is actually nothing more than another step
towards our
What Are The Positive Impact Of Affordable Housing
The Positive Impacts of Affordable Housing in a Community According to The
Economic Times, affordable housing is defined as housing units that are occupied by
a person whose income is below the median of household income. The purpose of
researching this topic is to inform readers of the positive outcomes which stem from
affordable housingin communities and also to give examples of the life changing
impacts affordable housing has on families. Through analysis and observation, a
person may become more aware of what is going on in their neighborhood. A
community should consider affordable housing for positive outcomes such as
education, good healthincreases, and economic growth.
A person may ask, how does Affordable Housing affect health? The answer could
be that they are directly tied together. In fact affordable housing can reduce
exposure to disease, which lead to a decrease in physical and mental health issues.
Some people may argue that affordable housing has nothing to do with health.
Health has a fair amount to do with affordable housing. It is common knowledge,
nationwide, that if a person doesn t have a home, he or she is more likely to
neglect treating illnesses such as high blood pressure, diabetes, and cancer. Which
lead to drug abuse and alcoholism. It is common knowledge, nationwide, that if a

Differences Between Justice And Mercy
Is mercy in direct conflict with justice? Hypothetically, both justice and mercy exist
in the courtroom on the same, equal opportunity plane, and an equilibrium between
the two is necessary for the establishment of a fitting sentence. But when tumultuous
emotion and inevitable bias warp what is supposed to be level ground, is the
coexistence of mercy and justice rendered paradoxical? In Bryan Stevenson s Just
Mercy, the dynamic between these two factors is explored. Stevenson, a civil rights
oriented lawyer in Alabama, works for the relief of falsely or unfairly convicted
teenagers, mothers, and death rowinmates, and it is from these clients jarringly
commonplace circumstances that themes of justice and mercy manifest themselves.
But to better... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
But these two factors appear starkly different when considering that the extremity of
justice is severity, while the extremity of mercy is permissiveness. Yet their opposites,
injustice and condemnation, share similarities. So then, certainly justice and mercy
must somewhat overlap as well. What is their connection? Recall that at one point,
Stevenson feels so utterly overwhelmed that he is tempted to abscond from his
burdening role as a lawyer. This is due to the fact that he, like any human, has within
himself these hidden facets of existence, and they reflect personal pain and
exhaustion. But moreover, he knows that those most at risk of injustice and
condemnation are poor, mentally ill, black, and vulnerable, and that knowledge
aches. Such conditions create a broken community inhabited by broken people, which
is further complicated by man s harsh instinct to crush those among us whose
brokenness is most visible (290). But condemnation does not heal. Instead, it
perpetuates harm. If we replaced our vengeance with mercy, not only would the
justice system be predominantly reformed, but we as people would treat one another
in such a manner as to heal our brokenness rather than exacerbate it. And that would
be the true

Stelilyagi Movie Counterculture
I was surprisingly pleased with the 2008 film Stilyagi. Shattering the dystopian Soviet
era film I came to expect, this musical comedy is brimming with saturated filming,
jazzy music, and ostentatiously bright clothing. This often unseen view is symbolic
of the counterculture of which the film is named. The filmis set in 1955, a mere two
years after Stalin s death, in the start of the Khrushchev thaw. The resulting relaxation
of censorship, allowed youths were able to explore their interests. Through the film

This coupled with Western fashion and pop culture brought back from the war
inspired a counter culture to appear. The stilyagi received their American
influences from, trophy films, the war, music records and journals, brought by
those few of the elite who could travel abroad, and, importantly, jazz broadcasts on
shortwave radio (Rekhter, 2012, p. 132). Rather than a political motive, they were
simply kids enjoying the modern way of life without pressures of their Soviet
society. After Stalin s death, their dance parties and loud dress were technically
legal, but the Communist Party disliked the ever growing dissonant group. As
such, the media began a slander campaign labeling them as clowns and cartoons.
The Komsomol would go so far as to publicly cut stilyagi members hair and clothes

Two formal art elements represented in this painting is line and color. The line is
shown in this painting organically with smooth brush strokes of the oil creating
volume within the clouds and plants, and even the wheat on the foreground. These
lines are smooth and flowing through out the painting creating movement.
The color is shown in this painting as an analogous color scheme of blues, greens,

other colors to bring out the subject matter of the landscape.
Two design principles represented in this painting are movement and rhythm.
Movement is represented in this painting by the flowing lines. Circular lines in the
sky represent the wind and clouds moving through the sky. The movement gives the
viewer a sense of free flowing movement of air through the wheat.
Rhythm is shown in this painting by the repeat of the lines through the tree, bushes,

Analysis Of The Play Waiting For Godot
The play Waiting for Godot performed at the NYU Skirball Center for the
Performing Arts provides an impressive adaptation of Samuel Beckett s original
work. First off, the Irish theatrical troupe, Gare St Lazare, is one of the foremost
specialist on Beckett s work, which includes modern interpretations of his work in
Waiting for Godot. This production combines a strong does of slapstick comedy,
which is typically found in the way Vladimir (Nathan Lane) and Estragon (Bill

absurdity of poverty of the two men, which is depicted in a more serious depiction
of their wretched lives. For instance, in one scene Beckett s Vladimir is more prone
to somber bouts of violence in the original play: Enter Vladimir, somber. He
shoulders Lucky out of his way, kicks over the stool, comes and goes agitatedly
(36). In the Gare St Lazare production, the slapstick style of comedy is far less
violent in terms of projecting a more comedic view of poverty in the dire
circumstances portrayed by Lane s portrayal of Vladimir. However, there are some
elements of the absurd, which are dictated by the presentation of Beckett s play in a
smaller venue, such as the Skirball Theater at New York University. The Irishness of
the play is typically found in the

greasers. My first reason that the greasers have it worse off is because they hardly

Crafting an essay that effectively conveys a stance against abortion requires thorough research, a nuanced understanding of diverse perspectives, and the ability to communicate ideas persuasively. One of the complexities arises from the fact that abortion is a deeply personal and emotionally charged issue, with individuals holding varying beliefs and values. Striking a balance between presenting a compelling argument and maintaining empathy for those with opposing views is a delicate task. Additionally, the essay must grapple with the legal and ethical aspects surrounding abortion, delving into the rights of the woman versus the rights of the unborn. To build a convincing case against abortion, the writer needs to synthesize information from medical, ethical, religious, and legal perspectives. This demands a comprehensive exploration of scientific data, philosophical arguments, and the examination of religious doctrines—all while ensuring the essay remains coherent and focused. Furthermore, addressing counterarguments and potential rebuttals is crucial to fortify the essay's credibility. Anticipating and effectively responding to opposing viewpoints demonstrates a depth of understanding and intellectual rigor. However, this adds another layer of complexity, as the writer must carefully navigate through the nuances of different perspectives without dismissing them outright. In conclusion, writing an essay against abortion is a challenging task that requires a delicate balance between presenting a well-informed argument and acknowledging the emotional complexities surrounding the topic. It demands extensive research, empathy, and the ability to navigate through the intricacies of the abortion debate. A History of Product Placement in Film and Television A History of Product Placement in Film and Television Peter Rush Product placement in the marketing world has become more and more evident in the past few decades. More specifically, product placement in the movie industry has been one of the most successful ways to advertise products. Oftentimes, products are associated with a film, or vice versa. Such is the case with Reese s Pieces candies and Stephen Spielberg s film, E.T . While it is a very expensive way of companies to advertise their brands, it is one that pays off immensely if executed properly. But although some of the Edison films were obvious offers of products and services, product placements as subtle efforts to influence audience attitude and behavior became a specialty of Edison s. His catalog listed hundreds of travelogues, such as trips to the Far West, Niagara Falls, and Hawaii, along with dozens of railroad films. The business of product placement had begun. In the United States, cinematic art and business intertwined in the 1910s and 1920s as manufacturers and government distributed advertising films that combined drama and commerce to the small town circuit. Producers of these films included International Harvester, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and the YMCA. From 1914 to 1921, Ford Motor Company created a series of newsreels titled Ford Animated Weekly and Ford Educational Weekly. A typical serial included Model T races and news footage that sometimes incorporated Henry Ford meeting with government officials. These advertising films were distributed at low cost to exhibitors and found an early approval in small towns, with Ford claiming a viewership of 3 million per week (Journal of Broadcasting and Electronic Media, 2006). Not only did the product placement within the movie help to reimburse both parties of the agreement, but the American films initiated a worldwide trade in American products as well.

There is a narrator in the movie (which, narrators about Andy as time goes by in Shawshank prison) was narrated by Morgan Freeman. It is estimated that this oil spill will pull the already high unemployment national average up to 11 12%. Consumer spending will drop as a result of this, damaging the regional economy. This would have an impact on Target s sales along the gulf coast, considering that places on the gulf coast were some of the major spots for tourism here in the United States. Praise Of Bill Peters, Coach Of The Carolina Hurricanes In Praise of Bill Peters Now firmly into his third season as a head coach in the NHL, Bill Peters, coach of the Carolina Hurricanes, has a lot of work in front of him to get this team into post season contention. Through his first two years with the organization, Peters is still yet to participate in the playoffs. In fact, it has been seven years since Carolina last saw the playoffs. Peters current lack of post season success shouldn t be an immediate point for concern, as he came into the team during a major recession in terms of team talent. Most notably offensive stars Alexander Semin and Eric Staal both had major drops in terms of point production during Peters first two seasons, both see their way out of Carolina. It appears though for this season the pieces are beginning to fall into place for Peters vision of this team. Their level of play over the past few games has been as high as it has ever been in recent years, as the team as a whole is able to play effectively in all ends. This quick turnover time shouldn t come as a shock to anyone given Bill Peters outstanding performances behind the bench for other teams. • 10. Justification We Are Saved From The Guilt Of God By justification we are saved from the guilt of sin and restored to the favour of God. But how can one be assured their faith has been justified? Assurance was a heated debate during the reformation period. It is apparent that Wesley wrestled with how to verbalize this piece of salvation puzzle as his critics found his ideas to be contradictory at times. For sake of clarity, only the explicable attributes for assurance will be brought forth. First and foremost, God is the source of assurance and not the individual. Secondly, the fruits of the Spirit are testimony or evidence of justified faith. The Spirit of God does give a believer such a testimony of his adoption that while it is present to the soul he can no more doubt the reality of his sonship than he can doubt of the shining of the sun while he stands in the full blaze of his beams. In other words, a person is assured that their faith has justified them from being a servant of God to being a child of God because of the witnessed fruits or signs of the Holy Spiritworking within their heart. A third attribute is that assurance is self evident. Even though he spoke in absolute tones, Wesley contemplated assurance for many years as he reconciled the experience of others. This eventually led him to acknowledge the idea that assurance could vary for certain people, in extreme circumstance at most. He also conceded from personal experience that the intensity of assurance can change over time. How, then, does

Unfortunately they can also be unforgettable in how they make us suffer. They can be tedious. Both examples were apparent during my 24 year career in the military. Presentations in my organization accomplish this and other times don t. Usually one can tell when this has been done and when it hasn t. Several are effective and others aren t. There are basic reasons why specific presentations capture attention and certain don t. One of the biggest problems with presentations in our workplace is, redundancy. They pound the same information repeatedly. There have been presentations delivered, where person decided that a word or point needed to change that would create little to no difference in the presentation; however, we would be required to view another presentation of the same material, occasionally less than a month after having it presented. • 12. Hills Like White Elephants Character Analysis How does the way people portray themselves reveal more about them and the life they live? Paying close attention to the emotions of a character and their actions can allow for more comprehension. The use of characterization within the story Hills Like White Elephants aids the reader to further understand the persona of an individual. In return, this allows the reader to understand them on a deeper level with a powerful connection. Without characterization, it would be difficult for the individual reading to form a bond with the man and the girl because they wouldn t truly understand what they re going through. In Hills Like White Elephants , by Ernest Hemingway, the American s dialogue, the way the girl converses and where their eyes wander give insight on how the man and the girl have communication difficulties. Throughout the story, it s made evident through dialogue that the man has a strong need to assert his dominance which damages his relationship with the girl. Firstly, the man appears to have total control within their relationship, even with uncomplicated factors. When they order drinks, the man says, Let s drink beer. , and he simply orders them following this statement. The girl can easily make this straightforward decision herself, but the man feels the need to take complete control. Also, when it comes to crucial life matters, the American still asserts his dominance. The need for the man to have control when it comes to important matters is seen when
  • 13. Using The Pulse Echo Principle ( Venables 2011a ) Sound is a mechanical wave, propagating through a medium in order for it to travel (Venables 2011a). Ultrasound is defined as high frequency sound waves, above the audible range i.e. 20 kHz (Zidan et al. 2011). These waves are formed using the pulse echo principle (Venables 2011a). This principle refers to the piezoelectric crystals which are situated in the transducer. When an alternating electrical voltage is applied across the transducer element (Lieu 2010), the element undergoes a series of compressions and rarefactions, resulting in electrical energy being converted into mechanical waves (ultrasound). These ultrasound waves propagate through tissues until they reach an acoustic interface. It is here where there is a change in impedance (an acoustic boundary) (Venables 2011a, that ultrasound waves will be reflected back to the transducer as echoes. These reflected echoes are then turned into an electrical signal and displayed on the ultrasound image as shades of grey, ranging from black to white. For the best possible image to be achieved, ultrasound requires good spatial resolution. Spatial resolution is the ability of two structures which are close together to be seen as separate, along the axis and perpendicular to the ultrasound beam (Gibbs et al. 2009). Good spatial resolution corresponds to an optimum axial and lateral resolution. Axial resolution depends on the spatial pulse length, if the pulse length is decreased better axial resolution will be achieved. This
  • 14. Aristotle s Notions Of Virtues Essay Aristotle s notions of virtues are the heart of the subject matter in Aretaic Ethics. The concept of Aretaic ethics comes from the Greek word arete which translates as human excellence or excellence of character, virtue (Virtue Ethics, 2013). Virtue ethics emphasizes being a certain person with certain quality of character. Its basic concept is that the virtueor value of the actions is not in the act itself, rather it is in the heart of the actor. Though it may seem not overly compatible with today s notions, I believe Aristotle s notions of virtues are an important precursor towards self fulfillment and harmonized society. The heart of virtue ethics is the search for eudaimonia translated in Greek for happiness or to the concept of human flourishing (Nagel, 1972). Aristotle believes that everything has a natural telos , an aim or a goal towards which things are headed. For humans, the natural telos is ultimate happiness which could be achieved through flourishing in all aspects of our lives. Virtue or excellence is a necessary condition for happiness. So what is virtue? According to Aristotle, virtue is a concept which exists as the mean between excess and deficiency (Sandel, 2010). It can be viewed as the middle point between having too much and having too little. So implementing specific virtues alongside practical wisdom over our lives would allow us to flourish leading towards happiness. I believe that applying Aristotle s notions of virtue alongside practical

This term means that while older generations only find value in the traditions and heritage of our faith, the younger generations only find relevance in what is current. They also write this type of separation between the young and old has effectively begun dismembering the body of Christ limb by limb. The authors also put focus on the act of individual preferences through church shopping. Some of these models need input parameter from the user, thus are heuristically designed and hence performance might depend on characteristic of parameters and input image. Some of the new learning based methods overcome above problems and give solutions to complex problems. It is for this reason that deep neural networks have recently seen an impressive comeback. CNN (Convolutional Neural Network) used in Deep learning for image restoration, works by averaging out the output of various trained network to the same input. Neural Networks have numerous application in several areas of image processing. It is used for classifying the image and the mathematical analysis of CNN operates feature extraction first and then give the results to trainable classifier. This model works by training the network to reconstruct high quality images from degraded or blurred input images. Tovey, a Grammy winning conductor is renowned all around the world as a highly versatile musician due to his artistic depth as well as charismatic personality that reflects in his works as a composer and pianist (p.1). On the other hand, The New York Philharmonic is an orchestragroup that is comprised of highly talented musicians who by playing musical instruments such as violins, piccolo, cellos, trombones etc are able to bring in the essence of the works done by original composers (Keller, 2012, p.7). This concert series basically features two programs with Holst s The Planets being performed during the end of the second program, which also includes Adams Short Ride in a Fast Machine, Offenbach s Ballet of the Snowflakes from Le Voyage dans la lune and Josef Strauss s Music of the Spheres (New York Public Radio, 2013, p.1). For 2017, the Ford Mustang and the Chevrolet Camaro will share a 10 speed automatic transmission as a result of a collaborative engineering effort between General Motors and the Ford Motor Company. How s that again? In 2013, Detroit s top rivals signed an agreement to jointly develop new 9 and 10 speed automatic transmissions with front and rear wheel drive variants. The collaborative effort means both companies are able to design, engineer, establish, test, corroborate and distribute new transmissions at a faster rate and for a lower cost than they would have on their own. Improved Performance, Better Efficiency The effort has yielded a new 10 speed automatic transmission, one that will find its way into various models over the next few years. That the two competing pony cars will share the same transmission means one less important edge for both manufacturers. Instead, the two companies will have to find other ways to beat each other with such factors as horsepower, steering and handling, and aerodynamics providing key differences. At the same time, buyers of both models will enjoy two important benefits 10 speed transmissions provide better off the line acceleration with a shorter first gear and improved fuel economy with the taller top gears. As the Angry Young Men movement began to popularize these themes, the acceptance of related issues became more and more widespread. Hypothetically, both justice and mercy exist in the courtroom on the same, equal opportunity plane, and an equilibrium between the two is necessary for the establishment of a fitting sentence. In Bryan Stevenson s Just Mercy, the dynamic between these two factors is explored. But these two factors appear starkly different when considering that the extremity of justice is severity, while the extremity of mercy is permissiveness. Yet their opposites, injustice and condemnation, share similarities. So then, certainly justice and mercy must somewhat overlap as well. What is their connection? Recall that at one point, Stevenson feels so utterly overwhelmed that he is tempted to abscond from his burdening role as a lawyer. This is due to the fact that he, like any human, has within himself these hidden facets of existence, and they reflect personal pain and exhaustion. But moreover, he knows that those most at risk of injustice and condemnation are poor, mentally ill, black, and vulnerable, and that knowledge aches. Such conditions create a broken community inhabited by broken people, which is further complicated by man s harsh instinct to crush those among us whose brokenness is most visible (290). But condemnation does not heal. Instead, it perpetuates harm. If we replaced our vengeance with mercy, not only would the justice system be predominantly reformed, but we as people would treat one another in such a manner as to heal our brokenness rather than exacerbate it. First off, the Irish theatrical troupe, Gare St Lazare, is one of the foremost specialist on Beckett s work, which includes modern interpretations of his work in Waiting for Godot.
