1. Equipment List
Cannon 1100D Camera: I’m using this model of camera because of availability. Due to a
limited supply I am using this camera that unfortunately has no audio support. However I
have used this model of camera before and I know it can produce decent quality images and
due to most of my sound being non-diegetic this will not matter. While a 600D camera would
achieve a better picture I believe that the 1100D will still produce a decent picture and will
still work well for the shots I intend to take
Tripod: When I am not using a shaky camera to add tension to the scene, I will be using a
tripod to stabilise the camera. This is to make sure maximum quality for the scene is achieved
and camera movements are fluid such as panning. It allows steady and stable shot to be
achieved and will be perfect for getting the establishing shots I need. It can also be lowered
into the base meaning it can be transported easily.
2. SD card: I will be using a class 10 32GB SD card to store all my material, due to the
high amount of memory I will able to store lots of material and will be able to shoot
scenes multiple times and choose the one that was the best. It is also 90 MB/s
meaning transferring my clips to a computer will be done quickly making my time
more efficient.
Adobe Premier Pro: I will use this program to edit my film and compile my footage. This is
because of how useful the programme and its ability to add multiple layers of sound and
transition effects. The programme is also very useful in other areas such as adding multiple
effects to my shots and audio that fit with my genre. Also once you have learnt at least the
basics of the program (which I have) it is relatively simple to use and is one of the best
editing programmes to use.
