Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.

Media Evaluation 6: What have you learnt about the technologies from the process of constructing your product?
1. Media Evaluation 6: What have you
learnt about the technologies from
the process of constructing your
product?
David Jeffery-Hughes
2. Equipment
Being a photography student as well I
knew my way around a camera. Although
their were some differences in the
camera, I eventually knew how to work
it. To film our opening we used a Canon
EOS 600D. I wanted it on manual focus
so that we could have a better quality
of film. This meant we had to change
the focus while we were filming the
scene but I liked this because it made
it look as if were watching the scene
with our own eyes. We also used a
tripod, the one we used had a smooth
action for panning this became
particularly useful when we panned up
to the sky in our opening. When filming
the dialogue I put the arm of the
tripod over my shoulder. This resulted
in an almost steady cam affect. This
was very effective when it came to the
fight scene. For some of the sound
(effects) we used an IPod to record the
sound and then we overlaid it using
Premiere Pro.
3. Premiere Pro
This is probably where I learnt the
most. I have used premiere pro many
times but never really footage with
dialogue. When we stitched together
the footage from different angles, it
didn’t sound right. The background
noise was also bad sometimes. So what
I did was unlink the sound from one
take and overlay it with the footage
from another. As it turns out we had
to do this several times to get the
best quality. I also learnt how to
edit match on action more affectively
by using the frame by frame tool so
that I could cut the action in
exactly the right place. Another
thing I learnt through this process
was how to make a time-lapse. At the
start of our opening this is shown.
We did it by filming a sunset for
about 20 minutes and then we used the
speed duration tool to speed it up so
it was about 5 seconds long.
