The equipment list includes a Canon EOS 100D camera for its high quality footage and portability between multiple filming locations. A tripod will be used to minimize unintentional camera shakes. An 8GB Samsung SDHC memory card is chosen for its storage capacity to hold all footage and outtakes in high quality. Adobe Premier Pro will be used to edit the footage as it is easy to use and already installed on the editing computer.

Canon EOS 100D Camera
I am using this camera as it is easy to use, especially as I have
experience withthismodel,andishighqualitywhichwillenhancemy
footage andaddprofessionalismtomyfilmopening.Due toitssmaller
size, it is portable which is ideal as my opening takesplace in several
locationsandis alsovery easyto handle - ideal asI have small hands,
therefore my dexterity filming scenes without the tripod will be
improved.AnothermajorreasonI have chosento use thisis because
I own one,therefore Ican be more flexible withfilmingandcan have
extra, unscheduled sessions if required.
Tripod
For the majority of my shots I will be using a tripod to minimise
unprofessional shakinessorotherunintentional products of filmingon
a handheldcamera.Asthe ‘shaky’effectfromnotusinga tripodis not
commoninthe dramagenre I will tryandavoidit as muchas I can and
keep the footage smooth and professional-looking. I have a tripod of
my ownthat I can use whichis optimal formy filmingprocessincase I
need to use it for longer than expected or at an unscheduled time,
which wouldn’t be possible if I was borrowing school equipment.
8GB Samsung SDHC EVO Memory Card
I think that this memory card is appropriate for my filming as it has enough
storage to fitall of my footage,includingouttakesandpracticesthat I wantto
keep to evaluate and use the best parts of, even in high quality.
Adobe Premier Pro
I am going to be using Adobe Premier Pro to edit all of my footage because it is
relativelystraightforwardtonavigate anduse,andisalreadya software installed
on the computerIwill be editingmyfilmopeningon.Usingthe program, Iwill be
able to use a lotof the featuresavailable toaddelementssuchastransitionsand
music into my piece, making it more entertaining and professional.
