Disadvantages Of Binary Options Tips
5. Go with a broker that give you demo test. Some
brokers offer you the chance to open a demo account.
Most of the recommended brokers you will come

virtual money for as long asa you want with a demo
account, you don t ever have to spend your hard
earned money. This is even more beneficial if you are a
beginner. This will give you a chance to learn how to
play the game without any ristk. You will be amazed
how much buyers will skip this step because they are
too excited to find out things clearly before they plung

When you loose your money, it is gone. There is no going back. If you buy stocks and the price fell, you can still recuperate
your investments if the price later goes up. Even when the price is still low, you can still sell your stock and recoup some of
your money. Binary options allow you to predict and if you go wrong, your money will never look back at you.
2. The market is not regulated. If you look at the stock market, you will see that the market is regulated. The buyers and sellers
are protected in one way or the other by an authority. Don t expect the same thing with binary options trading. There is no
regulatory body to regulate options brokers. This will put extra risk in what you are investing in and you know what that
means.
Conclusion
As you can see from the above tips, you are the sole determiner of your success or failure. In all of the components of trading
binary options, the most important factor in the equation is the trader. Instead of leaving yourself at the mercy of chance, take
responsiblity for your career and empower

RIO BRAVO IV A REPORT OF THE PLANT MANAGER
Executive Summary:
The report of the plant manager for RIO BRAVO IV, a subsidiary of Packed Electrical a division of General Motors identifies
mistakes made by top management. These mistakes clearly indicate top management failure to use project management
principles in starting up a new manufacturing branch. It also points out the learning outcomes when good efforts are placed at

Analysis Of The Jellyfish By Daniel Quinn

Ishmael
As much as humans don t want to admit it, the world wasn t solely created for us. The novel, Ishmael, written by Daniel Quinn
has given us an insight on how the world has been treated by man and how it could end. In a time where the world is being
destroyed we need to step up and protect the earth from total destruction.
The Taker culture believes that the world was created for them so therefore they can do whatever they want to it without any
consequences. The idea that man believes he rules the world is not only false but its constantly causing harm to the planet,
Quinn uses a lot of metaphors to try and explain what the takers are doing wrong and what should be fixed. An example would
be the jellyfish story, the point of the jellyfish story is to show that man is not the final product of evolution. In Ishmael s story,
the jellyfish tells the anthropologist a factual account similar to the narrator s, except that its version ends with the appearance
of jellyfish.
Ishmael s point is that human culture operates under a creation myth where man is the climax of evolution even though the
universe continues to develop and evolution is still occuring, man assumes that the Earth was made for them, since they were
its ultimate creation and final product. The narrator then concludes that the premise of the Taker s story is that the world was
made for man (Quinn) (61). The jellyfish story gives another

Characteristics Of Coyote Ecology
The coyote has very distinctive features and is classified as a member of the canine family. They live in packs and typically
mate for life. They are relatively small predators and their ability to adapt well to the environment around them allows them to
live almost anywhere. The coyote s population size and habitat range has increased over the years. There have been spotting s
of coyotes within residential communities because of human expansion into their territories as well. They shift their diet
depending on the environment they are in. They are susceptible to a few diseases that specifically affect the dog family.
Coyotes typically do not bother people or domesticated pets; however, there have been rare cases where they have attacked
and killed a person. Coyote ecology is important to understand in order to get a better sense of the environments they live in
and how they affect other wildlife around them. The coyote is a member of the canine family which also includes foxes and
wolves ( Urban Coyote Research ). They are medium in size ( Urban Coyote Research ). Coyotes have a long, slender muzzle,
pointed ears, and a bushy tail resembling a German Shepard ( Urban Coyote Research ). Their coloration can vary from gray to
black, but most are usually a grayish brown with reddish coloring behind the ears and around the face ( Urban Coyote
Research ). Coyotes have yellow eyes rather than the typical black eyes of domesticated dogs ( Urban Coyote Research ). Most

Explain The Importance Of A Child Or Young Person-Centred...
It is important to safeguard children and young people because no one deserves to be abused whether it be emotional, physical,
sexual abuse and no young person deserves to be neglected and we have a duty to protect them from harm. Every child
deserves to live in peace and have no harm or abuse come to them. If we protect children from harm they are more likely to
grow up into confident members of society. Children with a disability are three times more likely to experience abuse and
neglect and it s up to us as practitioners to recognise the signs and symptoms to protect all children. It is important for the
children at my workplace to feel safe and protected from any harm or neglect and we show that we support them though these
situations. 2.2. Explain the importance of a child or young person centred approach. The importance of young persons centred
approach is to understand that every child is different. The framework of Every Child Matters was arranged and set up to
support the joining up of services to ensure every child can achieve the five Every Child Matters outcomes. Support is offered
to children to enable them to be healthy, stay safe, enjoy and achieve, make a positive contribution and achieve economic well
being. All services are aimed at young people and are based around each individual needs. Children s wishes should be
considered during decision making to give them a sense of belonging and not to be made to feel as though its them who s to

They have a very good balance between their debt financing and the assets they have on hand (dollartree.com, 2013). With a
debt/equity ratio of 65.10% in 2013, this puts them in a good position for using the free cash flow they have to research and
see what areas they could make improvements in. It seems that the most significant assets that Dollar Tree has is in their
inventories. This is the largest part of their assets. They also have some intangible assets that account for about 35% of their
total assets. The liabilities that Dollar Tree has are in the form of accounts payable. They do not have very much long term
debt. Their long term debt accounts for less than 10% of the total liabilities. Dollar General Dollar General has a lot of
revenue. In 2013, they reported $16,200,000. The main assets for this company are their inventory. In 2013, their inventory
assets were recorded at $2,397,200. No one can argue the fact that they are not making money. Even though they are making
money, Dollar General has a high debt/equity ratio (dollargeneral.com, 2013). This is due in part to the expansion of their
business into the supermarket industry. With going into this industry, it means having to use debt to open up new stores and all
the costs associated with opening a new business in a different industry. While the debt is high, they still have a lot of revenue
each year. I do not see having a lot of debt for Dollar General

Colonel Harland David Sanders was a very well known American Businessman that is best known for creating the Kentucky

He had a vision to share his finger lickin good chicken with the rest of the world and to do so he had to find someone who was
willing to promote his chicken recipe.
This is where we see Colonel Sanders persistence really show, as he traveled from door to door in his neighbourhood trying to
promote his idea, only to be rejected by each and every member of his community. Later, he decided to travel by car to
restaurants where he even cooked his chicken in front of his potential investors but he faced more rejection. In fact, he was
faced with rejection one thousand and eight times to be exact. Only restaurant number one thousand and nine finally accepted
and was fully willing to listen to Sanders idea. A deal was made between the two partners in which it was agreed upon that for
every piece of chicken the restaurant sold, Sanders would get one nickel and he would deliver a packet of his ready mixed
spices to the restaurant so that his recipe would remain a secret.
Later, by 1964 there were six hundred franchises that had been selling his trademark chicken. This is when Sanders made the
decision to sell his company for two million dollars and became the company s Goodwill Ambassador. Colonel Sander s

Negative Effects Of Technology On Children
Smartphones, tablets, computers and televisions alike have all become a major part of modern culture. They inform, entertain,
amuses and assist us every day with news articles, videos and funny blurbs. But technology s potentially harmful effect on
young children has been a concern of adults for years. Whether brainwashing children, ruining their eyes or making them
violent, the list of the damaging results of tech use grows longer by the minute. Parents feel the need to limit their child s
exposure to the provocative screens before the damage is irreversible. The concern is completely valid; technology has the
ability to entirely capture a child s attention in almost an unlimited fashion, there is endless amounts of information for a
young mind to absorb. Access to this sea of knowledge could keep a child from experiencing more physical and interactive
activities that build up other important skills and developments in children. But this sea of knowledge does in fact hold many
benefits for kids. Much of the teachings that daycares and schools provide are on these devices and early access could help put
a kid ahead of the pack. In addition, because of the tremendous impact of technology and its involvement with humans, kids
who learn to use phones and tablets early will be more exposed and adjusted to an everchanging world. In essence, the dangers
of young children overusing electronics exist but are not life threatening, when use of technology is managed properly children

early in the 1900 s. Morgan was the first to discover sex linkage and genetic recombination, which placed the small fly in the
forefront of genetic research. Scientists have used Drosophila for many reasons. For one they are very easy to maintain, breed,

The Dust Bowl Summary
The dust bowl was a nitty gritty nightmare that lasted about a decade. It took place in the drought stricken region of the United
States, midst the Great Depression era. This period in time is generally considered as one of the hardest times in history. The
dust bowl storms were often so atrocious that people referred to them as Black Blizzards. Not only did the dust bowl make
things tough for farmers, when the dust bowl swept up around 100 million acres of topsoil, but also for the rest of middle,

He found information from local newspapers, museums, and libraries. Not only did Paul Bonnifield do research, he also
interviewed people from the southern plains. With that, he was able to write a book called, The Dust Bowl: Men, Dirt, and
Depression.4 Bonnifield tells his readers:
Ultimately the story of the heartland of the dust bowl is the chronicle of hardworking, stouthearted folks who withstood the
onslaught of nature at its worst, while living through a devastating depression and facing government idealism.5
The Dust Bowl: Men, Dirt, and Depression reveals the economical battle throughout the Great Depression, as well as the dust
bowl. Real people struggled to subsist the times of poverty and extensive horticultural difficulties. Bonnifield states that
agricultural hardship during the dust bowl expedited due to several dry years. Farmers started a new method of farming known
as dry land farming which led to the major destruction of the Great Plains prairie grass. 6Ranchers also played a big part in the
dust bowl because of overgrazing. Eventually, the land was stripped down to dirt.7 Bonnifield uses these reasoning s as some
of the main principles that led to severe Black

Two Interrogation Cases Watched in Class

potassium bromide, potassium Terri cyanide, and sodium chloride. The middle hole was filled with a drop of silver nitrate. It is
very important to make sure that none of the holes overflow. After each has been filled allow to sit for an hour and observe the

What Does The Scaffold Symbolize In The Scarlet Letter
Symbol of Sin In Nathaniel Hawthorne s The Scarlet Letter, the use of a torturous scaffold symbolizes sin and redemption. In
Hawthorne s novel, the afflicting scaffold is present in three scenes throughout the story. The first scene occurs during the
introduction of the novel, where Hester Prynne is given time on the structure in return for her sinful crime of adultery. The
second scene occurs in the middle of the novel, where Arthur Dimmesdale stands on the scaffold, feeling remorse and guilt for
his crime which he commits with Prynne. The final scene takes place in the resolution of the story, where Dimmesdale is dying
and confesses his sin in front of the whole town. Throughout The Scarlet Letter, the scaffold is a penalty described as ridicule,

How Does John Change In Dances With Wolves
In the film Dances with Wolves the main character John experiences many different changes. The changes consider of weather
changing, war battling, not getting along with the Native Americans, and evolving on his own to being with people around him
everyday that used to torment John. At the start of the movie toward the end of the movie the setting and John launch in place
even though it was like a rough roller coaster ride. While being in the middle of the plains; John was alone and knew there
may be buffalo around but was not for sure. John continued to mind his own business and do his own work around the area he
was staying. One day when he took an adventure he came across a red skinned buffalo that caused some issues at first
whenever John charged to the indians to let them know there was a buffalo. The buffalo represent the indians more than they
represent John. For example, the indians take joy in using the buffalo skin as blankets after the skin shows it s been cleaned.
Also, the buffalo are used for food. For example, indians love to eat the organs and heart because buffalo meat feels them up.

Mass Vaccination Essay
Scientific evidence demonstrates that vaccine inoculation can cause complications including disability and death. What is
causing this shift in immune prophylaxis, from the initial goal of eradicating contagious diseases, to becoming a killer
inoculation? Are we still free to defend and decide for our health, or is there a danger of government actions with mass
vaccination mandates?
There is a justified alarming concern on vaccines, not only in the population worldwide, but also in the medical personnel. The
theory stated in some scientific groups, is that vaccines are not only harmful but also useless. In matter of health issues,
science is the only honest filter we can use, looking at the critical dilemma on vaccinations, in order to ... Show more content

Here are some numbers: since birth through age six years old at least fifteen types of different vaccines, up to four inoculations
for each type are administered to children (Appendix A).
Are all these vaccinations necessary at such an early age? The uncontrolled proliferation of childhood vaccines with known

The same conservative poisons are also in foods and water, but in vaccines they are part of the chemical creating process and

The Slave System By Solomon Northup
The slave system was kept in existence for many years since the early 1600 s. A never ending cycle of pain, and harsh
conditions From being in 12 years of slavery, Solomon Northup recounts the time when he had once been a free man to be
kidnapped of that freedom back in 1841. The relationships that Northup encountered were neither positive or negative . From
friends he gained or his slave masters, the relationships were shaped by slavery and helped intact the slave system. In those
relationships, how the supervisors of the slaves treated them impacted the slaves work ethic and the friendships that were made
during this harsh time, thus supporting the slave system. One of the first social relationship Solomon encountered when he
entered slavery was James H. Burch. When Solomon was captured, Burch chained him up and put him in a cell; something
Solomon was not used to at all. Although he claimed he was a free man, Burch beat him every time he said he was, and forcing
Solomon to say he was from Georgia. Burch frightened Solomon with his beatings and threatening words and because of how
cruel Burch was, Solomon kept his mouth shut and refused to say he was a free man to any of his future slave masters, fearing
of the treatment again. With James Burch treating the slaves in that matter; implemented to the system of slavery, forcing the
slaves to become who they wanted them to be. That allowed slaves to follow orders, and not to protest against the supervisor s

The thing that I find most compelling about this culture is how they have manage to stand the test of time with there harsh
standards they have placed upon themselves do to their beliefs in these magical rituals and ceremonies. The one type of ritual
that I think is the most interesting to me is the fact hat they believed in some of these magical rituals and ceremonies so much
that they would actually sometimes toucher themselves to complete these rituals that are supposed to heal or help you but in
the process bring unbelievable pain in some cases. Another thing that I found to actually be crude and unsetting is the fact that
if you were sick they would literally quarantine you and if you don t get better you are just left to die. Especially young
children the fact they they would have a place designated for sick kids to basically go and die since younger kids have a lesser
chance of surviving then adults do. The temple that was used was literally the place they kids where supposed to go to die.
There were things that I found interesting and there are thing that I have strong feeling against because they go against my
morals. These groups of humans and the culture that they believe in is very harsh due to all the different rituals and ceremonies
that they have. The culture that they believe in also dictates

Criticism Of The American Dream In The Great Gatsby
The Great Gatsby written by F.Scott Fitzgerald illustrates a picture of the American Society during the 1920 s. The 1920 s
were a time of parties, drinking and having fun. Many had dreamed of becoming rich and being part of the upper class.
Although many wished to be part the upper class it was thought to impossible as almost all of the upper class members in were
born into it. In the Great Gatsby Fitzgerald criticizes the American Dream by creating characters of all classes such as those
from new money, old money, and the working class who all fail to gain the freedom and happiness of the American Dream.
The old American Dream allowed before corruption allowed you to gain wealth, power, and high status through hard work,
and dedication. However, since time changes, so do values. The American Dream had altered to materialistic aspects. These
materialistic possession determine how successful you are ,and shows it has rooted into the society. Fitzgerald shows this by
showing us the locations of where old money , and where new money live. Residents who live in West Egg are the people who
are referred to as new money as they usually have recently acquired their wealth , and are lacking a social position. East Egg is
home to those called old money who have posses wealth that has been inherited through generations. Fitzgerald talks about
how people from East Egg tend to have more rights and respect than those who come from West Egg.

Evaluation of Epidemiological Problem Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a major chronic health problem in adults 18 years or older
in the state of Kentucky (KY) that is responsible for many illnesses and deaths. There are also various complications
associated with this health condition. Complications of DM are atherosclerotic vascular disease, cardiovascular disease,
retinopathy, nephropathy, delayed wound healing, and increased risk for osteomyelitis, which increases the risk for amputation
(American Diabetes Association, 2013). The incidence and prevalence of DM is increasing each year, making the importance
of understanding this deadly but preventable disease and the opportunities to delay complications essential in providing care to
the diabetic population in KY and nationwide. Nationwide, diabetes prevalence in the US affects approximately 25.8 million
Americans with the occurrence of the diagnosed diabetes in the elderly population demonstrating a consistent significant
increase (ADA, 2013). The data reveals that monitoring of the national trends in the course of the increase in diabetes is
important, and it will help to assess the severity of the problem, the role of risk factors, necessary interventions, and plan
appropriate healthcare measures. Background DM is a complex and multifaceted dysfunction of the endocrine system. It is a

nations were desperate such a great war not to happen again, but they were preparing for the next war all the time during the

The post WW1 militaries had to make immediate changes in their postwar organization in order to increase their effectiveness
and readiness. For example, the German army developed mechanized and amour units called Panzer divisions, which during
the WW2 crushed their opponent armies. In addition, they focused on redesigning the officer core in order to be more
innovative and have critical thinking skills. After invading Poland, the Germans made AAR, and made immediate
organizational changes and created the Squads as a more effective unit. The Soviet Union made quality AAR from the WW1

Benefits Of Extortion In Education
Why do people in current society allow people to be extorted, yet at the same time boast about being able to give them
everything? Young people are often taken advantage of, due to their naïve, immature nature and naturally strong abilities that
are prone to being young. One of the many examples is the extortion that universities bring onto their young students and their
beloved families. If they were payed off by the government, extortion would be heavily reduced. Universities should be funded
by todays government because of students being extorted for large amounts of money, because of the benefits towards society
today, and because of university drop out rates are on the extreme rise due to student debts. Universities often take advantage
of their own students because of them having to pay for their education. This is a hidden flaw to the system after post
secondary school as governments are given little to no control about what secretly actually happens within
universities/colleges. Tuition gets all the media attention while fees are hidden to students and public knowledge. (Marcus,
n.p.) was a comment made by an expert researcher on post secondary extortion. Imagine first, having to already pay at least
20k just for 1 year of education. Now on top of that vast amount, add fees such as student activity fees, gym maintenance fees,

The English Industrial Revolution Essay
Textile manufacture changed dramatically in the 1700s. Key inventions such as Hargreaves spinning jenny (1764), Arkwright s
water frame (1769), Crompton s spinning mule (1779) and Cartwright s power loom (1784) reduced human labour by up to a
third. Early models of these machines tended to be unreliable, and some looms were ruined by machine breakers as a statement
against the replacement of human labour with machines.
The main centres of textile production in England became Greater Manchester, Lancashire and West Yorkshire. Leeds, for
example, boasted around 170 scribbling machines (which prepare wool for spinning) by 1786; this had unfortunate
consequences for workers, who signed a petition in that year stating that twelve men are thrown out of employ for every single
machine used in scribbling .

Alison Bechdel Fun Home Analysis
Alison Bechdel uses her graphic memoir, Fun home, to explore her relationship with her father. She uses the book as a tool to
reflect on her life and the affect her father had on her. She discovers how her fathers closeted sexuality affected her childhood
and her transition into adulthood. His death left a powerful mark and left her searching for answers. She clearly states this
when she says, it s true that he didn t kill himself until I was nearly twenty. But his absence resonated retroactively, echoing
back through all the time I knew him. (23). This feeling drove her to look back on their relationship and find what binds her so
strongly to a man she never understood. She discovered how her fathers closeted sexuality affected her childhood, her
sexuality, and her relationship with literature.
Bechdel opens the book with a scene of her playing with her father. She uses this memory of them playing airplane (3) to
describe the normal part of their relationship. This is contrasted by the frequent outbursts she describes throughout her
childhood. In chapter 1 she uses the film It s a Wonderful Life as an analogy. She draws a parallel between George s rare
outburst on his children to the frequent outburst her father displayed as she grew up (11). This scene gives clear insight on how
the relationship with her father fluctuates between calm and strenuous. the inconsistences in their relationship leads her
question what connects her to her father. This dilemma is best

PEST stands for political, economical, social and technological factors. Two more factors, the legal and environmental factor,

Monologue Lady Macbeth
In the first half of the monologue, the line And live a coward in thine own esteem is key (Macbeth Act I Sc 7 li. 48). In these
words Lady Macbeth toes the line of acceptability. She is a woman in 1040 Scotland calling her respected warrior husband a
coward. This is, in fact, the most important word in this line; it is openly insulting and emasculating to Macbeth. This
humiliation along with similar instances throughout the scene, ultimately provides the pressure for Macbeth to murder King
Duncan. This particular line stands out due to its use of the word coward , a stark and highly offensive insult, particularly
coming as it does from a woman to her husband at this time. It provides key motivation for Macbeth s murder of the king. In

Notes On The And Flow Data
2 DATAAND OPERATIONALIZATION
Tostudy the impactofpoliticalaffinity onFDI,I employ the datafrom UNCTAD,whichrecord bilateral FDI stock and flow data
for more than 200 countries from 2001 to 2012. Since FDI flow data can be a poor conceptual choice for answering political
questions (Kerner, 2014;
Sorens and Ruger, 2015; Benacek et al., 2014), I choose to use only the stock data.
One possible drawback for UNCTAD data is its compilation by reports from different countries, which have varied reporting
rules and rigorousness. As a result, it may have serious measurement errors or substantial missing values. However, this
weakness appears to plague the other two major FDI data resources (IMF and OECD) as well. 1 In addition, since biased or ...

This choice is mainly out of convenience. It is also workable to use the outstock data instead. The interpretation will be similar.
2.1 POLITICAL AFFINITY
Admittedly there is no perfect measure for two countries political closeness. To somehow proxy this measurement, I use the
ideal points compiled by Erik Voeten and colleagues from the UN general assembly roll call voting data. 3 This dataset has
ideal point estimates for countries from 1946 to 2014. To measure political affinity for a given country pair, I take the absolute
value of the difference between their ideal points and code them as idealPoint . In this regard, the smaller value the idealPoint
variable is, they closer is the country pair s relationship.
2.2 CONTROLS
As mentioned before, to somehow mitigate the reporting country s biasness, I need to apply controls over the country s general
FDI volume. More importantly, the volume of FDI stock in a certain country is substantially affected by the attractiveness of
the destination and the financial caliber of the donor country. In this regard, I tally the total volume of both the instock FDI for
the recipient country and the outstock FDI for the donor country. The former is used as a proxy for the destination s investment
attractiveness and the latter for the donor s financial caliber. This way I can sidestep the use of other economic controls and
focus on studying how political affinity affect FDI.

Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy ( Rebt )
Abstract
A literature review on rational emotive behavior therapy (REBT). A discussion of the REBT founder Albert Ellis and the
concepts that influenced the formation of REBT. Also, an in depth description of the concepts and theories behind REBT as
well as examples of the types of therapies that are commonly used in REBT. Next, an explanation of some of the changes that
have occurred during the history of REBT and a call for some future developments. Finally, some criticisms of REBT are
debated.
Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy: Past, Present, and Future Rational emotive behavior therapy (REBT) was first developed
by Albert Ellis in 1955 (Dryden, David, Ellis, 2009). Albert Ellis was influenced by the teachings of many different stoic
philosophers, including Epictetus, which taught that humans are not disturbed by the actual things that happen to them but by
their perception of those things (Dryden et al., 2009). Hence, Ellis termed this therapy rational psychotherapy in order to
emphasize the cognitive aspect of his therapy and to differentiate it from other psychoanalytic therapies (Dryden et al., 2009).
However, he had to change the name of his therapy to rational emotive therapy in 1961 due to critics accusations of the
therapy ignoring clients emotions, and then again in 1993 to rational emotive behavior therapy in order to emphasize the
behavior aspect of therapy (Dryden et al., 2009). Another influence to Ellis was Alfred Alder; Alder s belief that an

The Oracle by Ray Bradbury
The Oracle: Ray Bradbury
Often heralded as the world s greatest nation, the United States is also considered home to the world s greatest authors.
Reputable authors such as Fitzgerald, Twain, and Steinbeck remain relevant even through the washing waves of time. One
such timeless author, Ray Bradbury, ventured the hazardous path of taboo to write of change. Through his novels of innocent
youths evolving into children enlightened beyond their years, Bradbury utilizes the motif of time, innocence, and the
philosophical movements of existentialism, transcendentalism, and romanticism to describe catastrophic events the American
culture could face if existing destitute judgments continue to prevail. Ray Bradbury dared to reveal his voice.
Ray Bradbury was surrounded by a loving extended family during his early childhood and formative years in Waukegan. This
period provided foundations for both the author and his stories. In Bradbury s works of fiction, 1920s Waukegan becomes
Green Town, Illinois. In his stories, Green Town is a symbol of safety and home, which is often juxtaposed as a contrasting
backdrop to Bradbury as a senior in high school, of his tales of fantasy or menace. It serves as the setting of his modern
classics Dandelion Wine, Something Wicked This Way Comes, and Farewell Summer. In Green Town, Bradbury s favorite
uncle sprouts wings, traveling carnivals concealing supernatural powers, and his grandparents provide room and board to
Charles Dickens. Perhaps the

Discuss the Relationship Between Sexual Selection and...
There are many theories that try to explain relationships between sexual selection and human reproductive behaviour.
Evolutionary theory is one such theory. There are many different species in the world which, according to Darwin, all came
from one source, e.g. a bacteria or organism. Within each species, natural variation occurs, therefore the individual beings
within the specie look different from one another. These differences are caused by genetic makeup (50% from your mum, 50%
from your dad). There are some genes like down syndrome that get switched on when combined with other genes. Some genes
can also undergo mutation a random change (e.g. being born with six fingers, instead of five). Most mutations are harmful, for

In another study, Langlois and Roggaman (1990) took photos of faces and morphed them together to produce composite
images made up of 4, 8, 16 or 32 images. Participants rated faces as increasingly attractive the more faces that went into each
image; this applied to both male and female faces. The more faces in an image, the more symmetrical they become, it seems
that moving a facial image closer to the average increases its perceived attractiveness. It is likely that symmetry equates to
fitness and good genes , these people are less likely to have been affected by harmful mutation. People with attractive faces are
preferred because of the benefits of passing on these attractive characteristics to offspring. Little Hancock propose that humans
have evolved to be attracted to symmetrical faces because they indicate averageness , which equates to genetic health.
Grammar and Thornhill (1994) found that females are attracted to males with masculine characteristics, for example: large jaw
and prominent cheekbones. These features arise as a result of testosterone, which is also a handicap because it suppresses the
immune system. Therefore, showing only healthy individuals can afford to produce these traits advertising a strong immune
system. Cartwright (2000) supported this, finding men prefer photographs of women with symmetrical faces and vice versa.

What Is My Love Of Working In A School Environment
I have been looking for a position that would utilize the strong skills I have developed over the years combined with my love
of working with children. Wanting to create a positive impact for students and families, I believe that working in a school
environment is a way to do this. I believe I possess the necessary skills and experience you are seeking and would be a
valuable addition to your school.
Trained as an educator with a Master s Degree from Xavier University, I taught in the public school system for 13 years.
Currently, I work as the Director of Children s Ministries at an 1100 member church. Although I have thoroughly loved and
learned much through my current position, I miss the daily connections with students and academics.

Potential Of Microbial Fuel Cells
Potential of Microbial Fuel Cells
A microbial fuel cell (MFC) is a device that converts chemical energy to electrical energy by the catalytic and metabolic
reactions of microorganisms. The microorganisms function as a catalyst in the electron transfer between the electrodes. A MFC
is just like any other fuel cell in its function which can undergo a half cell reaction. A typical microbial fuel cell consists of
anode and cathode compartments separated by a cation (positively charged ion) permitting specific membrane. At the anode,
the organic matter or substrate is oxidized by microorganisms, generating CO2, electrons and protons. Electrons are
transferred to the cathode through an external electric circuit, while protons are transferred to the cathode through the
membrane. Electrons and protons react in the cathode, combining with oxygen to form water.
A simple REDOX reaction takes place in the fuel cell. The rate of the reactions can depend on the internal resistance, bacteria,
substrate, semi permeable membrane and electrode configuration. The basic reactions that occur when microorganisms
consume a substrate such as sugar in the presence of O2 they produce CO2 and H2O. But, when oxygen is not present they
produce CO2, H+ and e .
At Anode,
C12H22O11 +13H2O → 12CO2 + 48H+ + 48e−
At Cathode,
O2 + 4e− + 4H+ → 2H2O
The applications of MFC s are that, they can be used for electricity generation, bio hydrogen production, wastewater treatment
and bioremediation. While

Correct Answer: n/a

3. Use the competing values framework to diagnose Chrysler s culture. To what extent does it possess characteristics
associated with the clan, adhocracy, market, and hierarchy cultures? Discuss
Student Answer: The case study provides examples of all of the organizational culture types. Mr. Marchionne took advantage
of the adhocracy culture by shaking things up at the firm and moving the firm away from its old ways that forced it into
bankruptcy (Kreitner Kinicki, 2013, p. 70, 86). The fact that Chief Executive Sergio Marchionne fired executives and made
employees interview to keep their job is an example of the competitive nature of the market culture (p. 70, 86). He has also
created an element of fear in the company (p. 86).Mr. Marchionne displayed characteristics of the clan culture by setting up his
office with the engineers instead of in the separate executive tower (Kreitner Kinicki, 2013, p. 68 69, 86). He used video
equipment so that executives from Fiat could participate in the weekly management meetings (p. 86). Lastly, the fact that
Chief Executive Sergio Marchionne appeared to display characteristics

The Impact Of The Reichstag Fire
On the evening of 27 February 1933, the Reichstag building Germany s Parliament burnt down and Hitler used this to his
advantage by imprisoning many communist leaders without any case or warrant which prevented them from being part of the
Reichstag. It enabled the Nazis to say that the country was in danger from the communists during its election campaign these
actions helped the Nazis to become the most favourable party. This then helped Hitler on the road to dictatorship. The
Reichstag fire was caused by a communist which gave Hitler the perfect excuse to completely destroy the Nazi s biggest rival,
the communist party. Hitler then persuaded President Hindenburg, who was anti communist himself, to pass an emergency
decree to suspend civil ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Germany was a federal republic, Germany was divided into states, which meant that so much governmental power was in local
hands. In January/February 1934 Hitler eliminated this system, therefore putting all power in his hands. Children were taught
from a young age that Hitler was good for Germany and the rightful leader. Hitler knew that they were the future for Germany
and were effectively a blank canvas . Youth groups, such as the Hitler Youth were set up, so children spent less time at home
where their family could influence their views. Churches were another dangerous influence on Hitler s regime as they too
could tell people what to believe. Hitler s agreement The Concordat (20 June 1933), with the Pope, was a short term break that
permitted Hitler to ban the Catholic Zentrum party without opposition from the Catholic Church plus they agreed on not
interfering with each other. The Protestant Church, on the other hand, could be Nazified: Hitler appointed a Reich Bishop
called Ludwig Mueller to lead a German Christian movement within the Church which combined Protestant tradition with
Nazi ideology. The Nazi government also combined Christian worship with Nazi Party celebrations that adopted religious
ritual but glorified the Party and Hitler. Therefore, Hitler limited one of the most dangerous influences in Germany.

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Micro-Grids
Introduction
Energy is considered to be an integral aspect of social and economic development. Despite this 311 million in India people
lack access to electricity and other clean energy sources (Banerjee et al. 2015:1). Despite the policy push for rural
electrification since 1980 s , seventy five million households in rural India lack energy access (TERI 2015: 155), making
energy access predominently a rural problem (Bhattacharyya Palit 2014: 2). Thus the slow progress made can be attributed to
the conventional electrification programmes which provide electricity access by connecting households to the national grid.
This approach is deemed to be neither financially feasible nor environmentally sustainable (Josey Sreekumar, 2015: 5).
Given the challenges encountered while employing conventional electrification methods, micro grids are being seen as an
alternative for providing electricity through a decentralised renewable energy generation and distribution. Decentralised
electricity generation signifies an electric power source connected directly to the distribution network or on the customer s side
of the meter (Gurtoo Lahiri n.d.: 17). Micro grids have the potential for improving energy access and can play a ... Show more

This indicates the minimal role played by micro grids in providing electricity to the remotest areas. Adopting a dominant and
inefficient strategy of electrification leaves India with an average electrification rate of 66.9 per cent at the household level in
rural areas in 2011 (ibid.). These rates were below the global average electrification rate of 81.9 per cent (ibid.). The numbers
presented are an indication of the need to reorient the focus of rural electrification programmes in India towards connecting the
unconnected in the remotest areas through decentralised distribution

Analysis Of The Jellyfish By Daniel Quinn Djunny Thiersaint Epifanio Honors World Literature IV 12 November 2014 Ishmael As much as humans don t want to admit it, the world wasn t solely created for us. The novel, Ishmael, written by Daniel Quinn has given us an insight on how the world has been treated by man and how it could end. In a time where the world is being destroyed we need to step up and protect the earth from total destruction. The Taker culture believes that the world was created for them so therefore they can do whatever they want to it without any consequences. The idea that man believes he rules the world is not only false but its constantly causing harm to the planet, Quinn uses a lot of metaphors to try and explain what the takers are doing wrong and what should be fixed. An example would be the jellyfish story, the point of the jellyfish story is to show that man is not the final product of evolution. In Ishmael s story, the jellyfish tells the anthropologist a factual account similar to the narrator s, except that its version ends with the appearance of jellyfish. The narrator then concludes that the premise of the Taker s story is that the world was made for man (Quinn) (61). The jellyfish story gives another ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 23. The Slave System By Solomon Northup The slave system was kept in existence for many years since the early 1600 s. A never ending cycle of pain, and harsh conditions From being in 12 years of slavery, Solomon Northup recounts the time when he had once been a free man to be kidnapped of that freedom back in 1841. The relationships that Northup encountered were neither positive or negative . From friends he gained or his slave masters, the relationships were shaped by slavery and helped intact the slave system. In those relationships, how the supervisors of the slaves treated them impacted the slaves work ethic and the friendships that were made during this harsh time, thus supporting the slave system. One of the first social relationship Solomon encountered when he entered slavery was James H. Burch. When Solomon was captured, Burch chained him up and put him in a cell; something Solomon was not used to at all. Although he claimed he was a free man, Burch beat him every time he said he was, and forcing Solomon to say he was from Georgia. Burch frightened Solomon with his beatings and threatening words and because of how cruel Burch was, Solomon kept his mouth shut and refused to say he was a free man to any of his future slave masters, fearing of the treatment again. With James Burch treating the slaves in that matter; implemented to the system of slavery, forcing the slaves to become who they wanted them to be. The 1920 s were a time of parties, drinking and having fun. Many had dreamed of becoming rich and being part of the upper class. Although many wished to be part the upper class it was thought to impossible as almost all of the upper class members in were born into it. In the Great Gatsby Fitzgerald criticizes the American Dream by creating characters of all classes such as those from new money, old money, and the working class who all fail to gain the freedom and happiness of the American Dream. The old American Dream allowed before corruption allowed you to gain wealth, power, and high status through hard work, and dedication. However, since time changes, so do values. The American Dream had altered to materialistic aspects. These materialistic possession determine how successful you are ,and shows it has rooted into the society. Fitzgerald shows this by showing us the locations of where old money , and where new money live. Residents who live in West Egg are the people who are referred to as new money as they usually have recently acquired their wealth , and are lacking a social position. Evaluation of Epidemiological Problem Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a major chronic health problem in adults 18 years or older in the state of Kentucky (KY) that is responsible for many illnesses and deaths. There are also various complications associated with this health condition. Complications of DM are atherosclerotic vascular disease, cardiovascular disease, retinopathy, nephropathy, delayed wound healing, and increased risk for osteomyelitis, which increases the risk for amputation (American Diabetes Association, 2013). The incidence and prevalence of DM is increasing each year, making the importance of understanding this deadly but preventable disease and the opportunities to delay complications essential in providing care to the diabetic population in KY and nationwide. Nationwide, diabetes prevalence in the US affects approximately 25.8 million Americans with the occurrence of the diagnosed diabetes in the elderly population demonstrating a consistent significant increase (ADA, 2013). The data reveals that monitoring of the national trends in the course of the increase in diabetes is important, and it will help to assess the severity of the problem, the role of risk factors, necessary interventions, and plan appropriate healthcare measures. • 29. Benefits Of Extortion In Education Why do people in current society allow people to be extorted, yet at the same time boast about being able to give them everything? Young people are often taken advantage of, due to their naïve, immature nature and naturally strong abilities that are prone to being young. One of the many examples is the extortion that universities bring onto their young students and their beloved families. If they were payed off by the government, extortion would be heavily reduced. Universities should be funded by todays government because of students being extorted for large amounts of money, because of the benefits towards society today, and because of university drop out rates are on the extreme rise due to student debts. Universities often take advantage of their own students because of them having to pay for their education. This is a hidden flaw to the system after post secondary school as governments are given little to no control about what secretly actually happens within universities/colleges. Tuition gets all the media attention while fees are hidden to students and public knowledge. (Marcus, n.p.) was a comment made by an expert researcher on post secondary extortion. Key inventions such as Hargreaves spinning jenny (1764), Arkwright s water frame (1769), Crompton s spinning mule (1779) and Cartwright s power loom (1784) reduced human labour by up to a third. Early models of these machines tended to be unreliable, and some looms were ruined by machine breakers as a statement against the replacement of human labour with machines. The main centres of textile production in England became Greater Manchester, Lancashire and West Yorkshire. Leeds, for example, boasted around 170 scribbling machines (which prepare wool for spinning) by 1786; this had unfortunate consequences for workers, who signed a petition in that year stating that twelve men are thrown out of employ for every single machine used in scribbling . She uses the book as a tool to reflect on her life and the affect her father had on her. She discovers how her fathers closeted sexuality affected her childhood and her transition into adulthood. His death left a powerful mark and left her searching for answers. She clearly states this when she says, it s true that he didn t kill himself until I was nearly twenty. But his absence resonated retroactively, echoing back through all the time I knew him. (23). This feeling drove her to look back on their relationship and find what binds her so strongly to a man she never understood. She discovered how her fathers closeted sexuality affected her childhood, her sexuality, and her relationship with literature. Bechdel opens the book with a scene of her playing with her father. She uses this memory of them playing airplane (3) to describe the normal part of their relationship. This is contrasted by the frequent outbursts she describes throughout her childhood. In chapter 1 she uses the film It s a Wonderful Life as an analogy. She draws a parallel between George s rare outburst on his children to the frequent outburst her father displayed as she grew up (11). This scene gives clear insight on how the relationship with her father fluctuates between calm and strenuous. the inconsistences in their relationship leads her question what connects her to her father. Since FDI flow data can be a poor conceptual choice for answering political questions (Kerner, 2014; Sorens and Ruger, 2015; Benacek et al., 2014), I choose to use only the stock data. One possible drawback for UNCTAD data is its compilation by reports from different countries, which have varied reporting rules and rigorousness. To somehow proxy this measurement, I use the ideal points compiled by Erik Voeten and colleagues from the UN general assembly roll call voting data. 3 This dataset has ideal point estimates for countries from 1946 to 2014. To measure political affinity for a given country pair, I take the absolute value of the difference between their ideal points and code them as idealPoint . In this regard, the smaller value the idealPoint variable is, they closer is the country pair s relationship. 2.2 CONTROLS As mentioned before, to somehow mitigate the reporting country s biasness, I need to apply controls over the country s general FDI volume. More importantly, the volume of FDI stock in a certain country is substantially affected by the attractiveness of the destination and the financial caliber of the donor country. In this regard, I tally the total volume of both the instock FDI for the recipient country and the outstock FDI for the donor country. The former is used as a proxy for the destination s investment attractiveness and the latter for the donor s financial caliber. This way I can sidestep the use of other economic controls and focus on studying how political affinity affect FDI. 3This dataset can be downloaded from Harvard. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Next, an explanation of some of the changes that have occurred during the history of REBT and a call for some future developments. Finally, some criticisms of REBT are debated. Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy: Past, Present, and Future Rational emotive behavior therapy (REBT) was first developed by Albert Ellis in 1955 (Dryden, David, Ellis, 2009). Albert Ellis was influenced by the teachings of many different stoic philosophers, including Epictetus, which taught that humans are not disturbed by the actual things that happen to them but by their perception of those things (Dryden et al., 2009). Hence, Ellis termed this therapy rational psychotherapy in order to emphasize the cognitive aspect of his therapy and to differentiate it from other psychoanalytic therapies (Dryden et al., 2009). However, he had to change the name of his therapy to rational emotive therapy in 1961 due to critics accusations of the therapy ignoring clients emotions, and then again in 1993 to rational emotive behavior therapy in order to emphasize the behavior aspect of therapy (Dryden et al., 2009). Reputable authors such as Fitzgerald, Twain, and Steinbeck remain relevant even through the washing waves of time. One such timeless author, Ray Bradbury, ventured the hazardous path of taboo to write of change. Through his novels of innocent youths evolving into children enlightened beyond their years, Bradbury utilizes the motif of time, innocence, and the philosophical movements of existentialism, transcendentalism, and romanticism to describe catastrophic events the American culture could face if existing destitute judgments continue to prevail. Ray Bradbury dared to reveal his voice. Ray Bradbury was surrounded by a loving extended family during his early childhood and formative years in Waukegan. This period provided foundations for both the author and his stories. In Bradbury s works of fiction, 1920s Waukegan becomes Green Town, Illinois. In his stories, Green Town is a symbol of safety and home, which is often juxtaposed as a contrasting backdrop to Bradbury as a senior in high school, of his tales of fantasy or menace. It serves as the setting of his modern classics Dandelion Wine, Something Wicked This Way Comes, and Farewell Summer. Evolutionary theory is one such theory. There are many different species in the world which, according to Darwin, all came from one source, e.g. a bacteria or organism. Within each species, natural variation occurs, therefore the individual beings within the specie look different from one another. These differences are caused by genetic makeup (50% from your mum, 50% from your dad). There are some genes like down syndrome that get switched on when combined with other genes. Some genes can also undergo mutation a random change (e.g. being born with six fingers, instead of five). Most mutations are harmful, for example ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Participants rated faces as increasingly attractive the more faces that went into each image; this applied to both male and female faces. The more faces in an image, the more symmetrical they become, it seems that moving a facial image closer to the average increases its perceived attractiveness. It is likely that symmetry equates to fitness and good genes , these people are less likely to have been affected by harmful mutation. People with attractive faces are preferred because of the benefits of passing on these attractive characteristics to offspring. Little Hancock propose that humans have evolved to be attracted to symmetrical faces because they indicate averageness , which equates to genetic health. Grammar and Thornhill (1994) found that females are attracted to males with masculine characteristics, for example: large jaw and prominent cheekbones. These features arise as a result of testosterone, which is also a handicap because it suppresses the immune system. Therefore, showing only healthy individuals can afford to produce these traits advertising a strong immune system. The microorganisms function as a catalyst in the electron transfer between the electrodes. A MFC is just like any other fuel cell in its function which can undergo a half cell reaction. A typical microbial fuel cell consists of anode and cathode compartments separated by a cation (positively charged ion) permitting specific membrane. At the anode, the organic matter or substrate is oxidized by microorganisms, generating CO2, electrons and protons. Electrons are transferred to the cathode through an external electric circuit, while protons are transferred to the cathode through the membrane. Electrons and protons react in the cathode, combining with oxygen to form water. A simple REDOX reaction takes place in the fuel cell. The rate of the reactions can depend on the internal resistance, bacteria, substrate, semi permeable membrane and electrode configuration. The basic reactions that occur when microorganisms consume a substrate such as sugar in the presence of O2 they produce CO2 and H2O. But, when oxygen is not present they produce CO2, H+ and e . At Anode, C12H22O11 +13H2O → 12CO2 + 48H+ + 48e− At Cathode, O2 + 4e− + 4H+ → 2H2O The applications of MFC s are that, they can be used for electricity generation, bio hydrogen production, wastewater treatment and bioremediation. What are the observable artifacts, espoused values, and basic assumptions associated with Chrysler s culture. Explain Student Answer: According to the text, there are three layers of organizational culture: observable artifacts, espoused values, and basic assumptions (Kreitner Kinicki, 2013, p.63). Observable artifacts are the physical manifestation of an ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... 86).).Chrysler doubled rebates as part of their company s culture. Chrysler was not proofing under the leadership of Fong(p.86). Correct Answer: n/a ********************************************************************************************************** 3. Use the competing values framework to diagnose Chrysler s culture. To what extent does it possess characteristics associated with the clan, adhocracy, market, and hierarchy cultures? Discuss Student Answer: The case study provides examples of all of the organizational culture types. Mr. Marchionne took advantage of the adhocracy culture by shaking things up at the firm and moving the firm away from its old ways that forced it into bankruptcy (Kreitner Kinicki, 2013, p. 70, 86). The fact that Chief Executive Sergio Marchionne fired executives and made employees interview to keep their job is an example of the competitive nature of the market culture (p. 70, 86). He has also created an element of fear in the company (p. 86).Mr. Marchionne displayed characteristics of the clan culture by setting up his office with the engineers instead of in the separate executive tower (Kreitner Kinicki, 2013, p. 68 69, 86). He used video equipment so that executives from Fiat could participate in the weekly management meetings (p. 86). • 46. The Impact Of The Reichstag Fire On the evening of 27 February 1933, the Reichstag building Germany s Parliament burnt down and Hitler used this to his advantage by imprisoning many communist leaders without any case or warrant which prevented them from being part of the Reichstag. It enabled the Nazis to say that the country was in danger from the communists during its election campaign these actions helped the Nazis to become the most favourable party. This then helped Hitler on the road to dictatorship. The Reichstag fire was caused by a communist which gave Hitler the perfect excuse to completely destroy the Nazi s biggest rival, the communist party. Hitler then persuaded President Hindenburg, who was anti communist himself, to pass an emergency decree to suspend civil ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Germany was a federal republic, Germany was divided into states, which meant that so much governmental power was in local hands. In January/February 1934 Hitler eliminated this system, therefore putting all power in his hands. Children were taught from a young age that Hitler was good for Germany and the rightful leader. Hitler knew that they were the future for Germany and were effectively a blank canvas . Youth groups, such as the Hitler Youth were set up, so children spent less time at home where their family could influence their views. Churches were another dangerous influence on Hitler s regime as they too could tell people what to believe. Hitler s agreement The Concordat (20 June 1933), with the Pope, was a short term break that permitted Hitler to ban the Catholic Zentrum party without opposition from the Catholic Church plus they agreed on not interfering with each other. The Protestant Church, on the other hand, could be Nazified: Hitler appointed a Reich Bishop called Ludwig Mueller to lead a German Christian movement within the Church which combined Protestant tradition with Nazi ideology. The Nazi government also combined Christian worship with Nazi Party celebrations that adopted religious ritual but glorified the Party and Hitler. Therefore, Hitler limited one of the most dangerous influences in Germany. Gleichschaltung ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 47. Advantages And Disadvantages Of Micro-Grids Introduction Energy is considered to be an integral aspect of social and economic development. Despite this 311 million in India people lack access to electricity and other clean energy sources (Banerjee et al. 2015:1). Despite the policy push for rural electrification since 1980 s , seventy five million households in rural India lack energy access (TERI 2015: 155), making energy access predominently a rural problem (Bhattacharyya Palit 2014: 2). Thus the slow progress made can be attributed to the conventional electrification programmes which provide electricity access by connecting households to the national grid. This approach is deemed to be neither financially feasible nor environmentally sustainable (Josey Sreekumar, 2015: 5). Given the challenges encountered while employing conventional electrification methods, micro grids are being seen as an alternative for providing electricity through a decentralised renewable energy generation and distribution. Decentralised electricity generation signifies an electric power source connected directly to the distribution network or on the customer s side of the meter (Gurtoo Lahiri n.d.: 17). Micro grids have the potential for improving energy access and can play a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This indicates the minimal role played by micro grids in providing electricity to the remotest areas. Adopting a dominant and inefficient strategy of electrification leaves India with an average electrification rate of 66.9 per cent at the household level in rural areas in 2011 (ibid.). These rates were below the global average electrification rate of 81.9 per cent (ibid.). The numbers presented are an indication of the need to reorient the focus of rural electrification programmes in India towards connecting the unconnected in the remotest areas through decentralised distribution ...
