The first teacher, who also happens to be my Subject Mentor, is a very experienced staff member, he
has known the students since they started the school in Year 7, and hence he has a personal
relationship with them. Because of this, he is able to joke around with them and therefore be slightly

Abstract Several microorganisms have the ability to promote plant growth and produce compounds
which are known to stimulate plant defenses by inducing systemic resistance (ISR) in attacked plants
(1). Bacillus species are commonly used in formulating microbial fertilizers due to their rapid
beneficial effects in colonizing plant root and establishing Rhizobia bacteria mutualism inside their
root structure. In this paper research, I will observe this unique interaction by examining the gene
expression of soybeans (Glycine max) and their response to bio inoculants under a heat stress. I will
use four different treatments: control, Defensor, Rhizoboost, Defensor and Rhizobium, and
Rhizoboost and Rhizobium. Once the infected seeds germinate, I will incubate soybean seeds at 25 oC
and 37 oC for approximately 16 hours followed by grinding seeds for RNA purification. Gene
expression data will be then obtained and collected via qPCR analysis followed by microarray
analysis for more data confirmation. Additionally, a two way ANOVA and a Tukey s multiple
comparison test will be used to determine the significance of the data. This study will give us a good

of human activity s impact on core processes. The core processes altered by both facilities include the
ecological, physical, and chemical processes. The Fall Creek hydroelectric facility has, by its very
existence, altered the landscape of the area surrounding its main dam, most notably, its creation of
Beebe Lake. The formation of the facility s dam has also impacted the physical and chemical
components of the water that surges through it, by rendering water that passes through the dam
(downstream water) colder and less oxygen rich than the water of Beebe Lake (upstream water). This

coastal resources, Filipinos made coastal fishing activities its main livelihood. On the other hand,
tourism is also seen as a growing industry in the coastal areas. This has resulted in the degradation of
socio ecological coastal areas in the Philippines. Because of this problem, it is important for the
stakeholders to clearly identify its roles and responsibilities in order to make a sustainable future for
everyone. However, if the policies are not clearly defined and strictly implemented, problems and
issues, particularly with coastal resources, will arise. These include overfishing, destructive fishing,
sedimentation and disposal of untreated waste, lack of integrated management plans, lack of
enforcement, lack of community involvement, and lack of alternative livelihood options (Parras,
2001). This will not only affect the physical environment, but also everyone that depends on it and its
resources for their livelihood. As environmental issues are a very broad topic to discuss, I will be only
focusing on the current challenges being faced by the stakeholders involved in Tacloban City,

The Impact Of Education In The Middle Ages
During the time of the Middle Ages, life as a citizen saw little to no change. With the feudal system in
place, people were born into different social classes like Lords, Knights, and Serfs. However, it was
extremely difficult, if not impossible, to move up in one s class. Once someone was born into a
specific role in society, people believed that it was his or her fate to remain in that class. Also, society
was not progressing. One example of this can be seen in the Black Death. This Black Death, or,
Bubonic Plague, killed off nearly one third of the entire population. Civilians were stunned, and did
not know why this event occurred, or how to solve the problem. Nobody could figure out how to stop
the disease, because no medical advancements were taking place, and people were uneducated.
Education in the Middle Ages was not available to everyone, so many people were illiterate, causing
society s growth to pause. It became clear that people needed to change their mindset in order for their
lives to be better. This change came in the Renaissance time period, where a significant growth in
many areas of life occurred. The positive growth was so impactful that P.J. O Rourke, an American
political journalist once said, Not much was really invented during the Renaissance, if you don t count
modern civilization. People today look back on the Renaissance, and embrace how it is considered as
a rebirth period. The Renaissance was a turning point for intellectual
