to ensure that nursing is able to sustain quality care and remain responsive to individuals needs on a
daily basis (Box 1).
Case study
Nursing leadership and responsiveness is demonstrated when opportunities for the development of
new services to meet the changing needs of service users are identified. This often involves
developing new skills in the nursing team or taking on roles previously undertaken by other team
members. A good example of this is the work undertaken by Royal Devon and Exeter NHS
Foundation Trust ophthalmic nurse practitioner Brian Kingett. Age related macular degeneration
(AMD) affects large numbers of older people in the developed world and is the most common cause
of blindness in people over the age of 55 years (Vendula and Krzystolik 2008). Wet AMD occurs when
blood vessels grow between the retinal pigment epithelial cells and the photoreceptor cells in the
centre of the retina to form a choroidal neovascular membrane. These immature

Essay about Denali National Park
National Parks have awed tourists and even locals for years. They provide an escape from the ordinary
and relief from the everyday stress of society. National Parks provide insight into a simpler time where
our ancestors were surrounded by the beauty of nature instead of the concrete jungles of modern day
metropolitan areas. Few of these wonderful parks provide the same seclusion as Denali National Park
in Alaska. It s sights and sounds have fascinated many and will continue to provide a great escape
from everyday life. The original Mount McKinley National Park was established on February 26,
1917(Denali). It was originally founded as a wilderness area. In 1980, the park was renamed Denali
National Park. This new Denali National Park ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Alaska is a place where seasons transition quickly. There is an immediate shift between seasons.
Literally, there can be snow one week and flowers blooming the next. Due to these harsh conditions,
most of Denali National Park is treeless. The few trees that remain are usually small due to the strong
wind(Our National). Though the weather can be harsh, Denali provides an experience like no other for
camping. Within Denali, they offer seven campgrounds with about 290 campsites(Denali). They also
have four developed campgrounds for those not wanting to experience nature in its fullest(What to
Do). They even have two cabins that can be used year round(What to Do). In addition, they offer
special areas for backpackers, large groups, and even a bus specifically for campers(Denali). Many of
those camping in the park will have the opportunity to experience Denali through its hiking trails.
According to Denali, June is the best time of year to experience Denali hiking. There are numerous
trails where wildflowers and beautiful colored mushrooms are visible. Hiking maps are available in
the Visitor s Center for those wishing to experience this(Denali).
According to What to Do, Denali has trails for both the experienced and inexperienced hikers. One of
the easier trails the Horseshoe Lake Trail. It is 1.5 miles and takes about 90 minutes

War Without Mercy by Dower Essay
War Without Mercy by Dower In War Without Mercy , Dower s principle is a surprising one: Though
Western allies were clearly headed for victory, pure racism fueled the persistence and increase of
hostilities in the Pacific setting during the final year of World War II, a period that saw as many
casualties as in the first five years of the conflict combined. Dower does not reach this disturbing
conclusion lightly. He combed through loads of propaganda films, news articles, military documents,
and cartoons. Though his case is strong, Dower reduces other factors, such as the prolonged
negotiations between the West and the Japanese. During World War II, with the alliance of Germany
and Italy made a propaganda campaign of obvious ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Overall, the Why We Fight films reflect the strategic priorities of the U.S. government and focused
primarily on the struggle in the West. A Japanese equivalent to this series is titled The Battle of China.
This was an epic paean to the resistance of the Chinese people against Japan s aggression. Through all
of the destruction and devastation of the Japanese, they come with this counterpoint that was
heightened by a commentary in which Japan s rhetoric of co existence and co prosperity was recited
while the screen showed the devastation of China s cities and the mutilated corpses of its men,
women, and children. In the United States and Britain, Dower reminds us, the Japanese were more
hated than the Germans before as well as after Pearl Harbor. On this, there was no dispute among
contemporary observers. They were perceived as a race apart, even a species apart and an
overpoweringly monolithic one at that. There was no Japanese counterpart to the good German in the
popular consciousness of the Western Allies. (8) But there are two answers in the book that gives us a
reason on why there was more hatred towards the Japanese than the Germans. These are the same
Germans that engaged in a systematic genocide against millions of Jews. But why the Japanese were
more hated than the Germans despite the latter s orgy of violence, is surely in large part racial. It s not

The Crucible And The Scarlet Letter
The quote To belong is to understand the tacit codes of the people you live with from Michael
Ignatieff is explaining that with every group of people in society, there is a certain set of logical
unspoken rules that are not written rules. The understanding and following of these rules will allow
you to belong in most groups. Unspoken rules are what make a group who they are. The Crucible and
The Scarlet Letter both have perfect examples for the relationship between unspoken rules and
belonging. Also, these works take place in the 17th century around the same area. This creates almost
the same setting for both stories where the unspoken rules will be almost identical. The knowledge
and ability to follow the unspoken rules will lead to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It was just something you did not do if you wanted to belong. John Proctor, whose wife was falsely
accused of witchcraft, was not taken seriously due to the fact that he did not attend church services
very often, and he also worked on certain Sunday s. The fact that he had broken these unspoken rules
made it harder for people to believe he was of God and telling the truth about his wife. These
examples help show the relationship between unspoken rules leading to belonging. The disregard for
unspoken rules cost lives at this time in history. In The Scarlet Letter, an adulterer named Hester was
shunned by the church and society. This book also has the church as the main group. The main
unspoken rule dealt with was adultery. Hester s husband had sent her ahead to America. She had an
affair with a priest and this was just something that you did not do, and it was a logical unspoken rule
that was broken, and, therefore, she was unable to really belong in this town for a very long time. The
girl was so shunned, they put an A on her clothes. This was the epitome of humiliation. At this time,
no one would associate with a girl like Hester. There was never a feel of belonging after that A was
placed on her clothes. Hester s actual husband who disguised himself as Roger Chillingworth to avoid
the humiliation. Dimmesdale was the man she had an affair with, and he was a minister.

Imposter incorporate conventions of the genre, film and documentary techniques, stylistic features
such as narrative perspective, characterisation and camera angles to explore how people s perception
of identity and the truth can be manipulated. Both texts entail a similar chronological narrative
structure although in different forms, for example, Shutter Island uses dreams and flashbacks,

Layton has targeted a wider audience as mature viewers would be more interested in documentary and

Scorsese and Layton both use narrative perspective and narrative structure to reveal their central ideas

directors use flashbacks or reenactments, to gradually reveal parts of the plot or back story. However,

Mr. Rogers Neighborhood
For many Americans, the simple mention of the word neighborhood immediately conjures up
memories of Fred Rogers singing the iconic theme song of his long running PBS show, Mr. Rogers
Neighborhood. A typical episode of Mr. Rogers Neighborhood featured appearances from many of Mr.
Rogers neighbors, such as Officer Clemmons, a black police officer who would often drop by to teach
viewers about the job of policing, to impart some practical wisdom for living peacefully with one s

One of the ways that youths in inner cities find stability in their unsafe neighborhoods is by following
the code of the street and campaigning for respect on the street asserting their masculinity, confidence,
and social status through posturing and fighting. (Harding 2010:29). An example of this pressure to
follow this code of the street can be seen in the fourth season of The Wire. In one of the first episodes
of the season, after walking out of Cutty s gym, Namond Brice is met by a wild eyed Sharrod, who
tells Namond that he needs to back off his corner. Not wanting to appear weak, Namond shoves
Sharrod, unaware that he was high and carrying a gun. In another episode later on in season four, after

Discretionary Access Control (DAC)
Discretionary Access Control (DAC)
Computer security is important in every organization. It covers several areas such as locking the
computer room and the computer itself, protecting login accounts with passwords, encrypting network
communication lines and use of file protection among others. Whitman (2011) points out that
computer system security ensures that your computer does what it is supposed to, even if the users do
what they should not do. Discretionary Access Control (DAC) is a type of access controls that
provides protection to the files in a computer system. This type of control restricts access to files
based on the identity of users or groups which they belong. It is discretionary and lets you tell the
computer system who can have access to your files and therefore you can specify the type of access
allowed. For example, you can allow anyone to read a particular file in the system, but allow only you
to be able to change it.
According to Whitman (2011), this type of control access is rarely used with high security systems
because someone with permission to access files is able to pass that permission either directly or
indirectly on to any other person. This capability poses a threat to the security of the files and can be
dangerous to a high security system. An organization that requires high security, but the operating
system only supports DAC, can compensate with the use of an Access Control List (ACL). Haldar
(2010) defines ACL as a list which denotes which

Quebec, who has somehow been lost in the history books. This documentary is titled Patriot or Traitor

A traitor is someone who defies or betrays a country, but Adelard only helped Canada grow and
become more progressive. Therefore, this is a reason among many why I personally believe he is not a
traitor. Next, Jacques attempt to shine light on Adelard Godbout s progressiveness also led to the
unveiling of traits that may describe a traitor . Adelard was viewed as a traitor to the French Canadians
for multiple reason but mostly for trying to conscript them into the war, and his good relationship with
Mackenzie King. His action to send a military to fight Hitler was derived from the Nazi s saying: To
conquer Eastern Canada, we must subjugate French Canadians . Andre Laurendeau drew comparison
from the way English Canadians oppressed French Canadians in the same way Hitler oppressed
smaller nations like Poland. In the height of his political career, Adelard continued to push for
conscription which led to the Conscription Crisis of 1944. This was a less drastic version of the
Conscription Crisis of 1917, which Mackenzie King tried very hard not to replicate. In fact,
Mackenzie King s negative view on conscription was caused by his experience with it in 1914, which
is why he always voted against it when he had political clout. Adelard got very serious backlash from

A worldview is an overall theory of the world around you. A worldview is based on how a person
views themselves, the world, life and their individual beliefs of the world. A worldview is influenced
by life experiences, situations and attitudes adopted by and developed throughout their lives and

centered upon a set of principles and/or beliefs that will help them earn a state of enlightenment and

The Development of the American Constitution Essay
The Articles of Confederation were approved by all the early American states in 1781, but by 1787, it
was apparent that the Articles were insufficient for the young nation to operate on. A convention was
formed with the priority job being to revise the Articles of Confederation; however, they only
concluded that an entire new structure was needed to fulfill the demands of the growing country. The
Constitution was then born. The Constitution provided the structure of government and power that
was needed to achieve a strong union. This structure saved the American republic from collapse while
under the Articles of Confederation.
George Washington himself called the end of the Articles a happy termination (Document A). He

The government must be able to prevent a tyranny of the majority, prevent a tyranny of the minority,
have sufficient powers to create conditions for both short and long term economic development, and
formulate and conduct a more effective foreign policy. It was not long, however, before core conflicts
emerged between different interest groups. Bankers and debtors disagreed; there was economic
competition between states, along with conflicts over western land ownership. Despite the enormous
gap between advocates of the differing approaches, a number of important compromises were worked
out. For instance, the Commerce Compromise which regulated trade between states and the Great
Compromise which dealt with representation for the states in Congress.
The delegates also divided power within national government. They created three branches: the
legislative, the executive, and the judicial. During this process, there was considerable disagreement
about the powers of the executive, or presidential, branch. This branch of the government was given a
great deal of power, and the Articles of Confederation had had no executive branch. However, much
less attention was given to the judiciary. There was no mention of judicial review at this time.

Crime Rate And Crime Rates
Complying with the order to release 9,600 inmates by year s end will increase the crime rate. Since the
release of one prisoner is associated with an increase of 14.86 crimes per year (Levitt 1996),
compliance is projected to increase crimes by 142,656 per year. It is possible to minimize the social
costs of crime despite this increase in crime rate, though. If inmates convicted of property crimes are
the release s focus, the subsequent social cost will be comparatively less than if it was otherwise
implemented. Sentence enhancements have been shown to reduce certain types of crime (Kessler and
Levitt 1999), but such measures are typically focused on the most frequent and dangerous offenders
(Kessler and Levitt 1999, p. 359), and those who commit property crime are unlikely to be classified
as such. So sentence reductions may increase violent crime rates, but the effect on property crime rates
is unknown. The best way to comply with the order, then, is to release inmates convicted of property
crimes and to not implement sentence reduction.
How to structure the release
Property crimes (burglary, larceny, and auto theft) are the most likely to increase following a release of
prisoners, but also the least costly. They make up 84.12% of the projected increase in crime, but only
15.96% of the projected social cost (Levitt 1996). Despite the greater increase in crime it would cause,
targeting property crime offenders for release is still an attractive option because of the

Security And Security Techniques
Overall information systems hardware, software, networks and data resources need to be protected and
secured to ensure the effective performance of an organization. One security technique used by
organizations to protect their computer systems from security threats is encryption this is a method
used by organizations to send data to others it works by using special mathematical algorithms to
convert the data into scrambled code before transmission and when the data is received it is decoded
when an authorized user accesses it. In my opinion, this is very effective because it stops people from
being able to read or use data if they intercepted it as the is in a scrambled letter and number form.
Another security technique is a firewall this ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Anti virus software and Antispyware Software works by identifying suspicious software based on a
list of known threats it then checks the computer against that list and tells the user if it finds anything
on its list. In my opinion, Anti virus software and Anti Spyware Software is very effective because it
stops malicious software getting onto a computer which could steal or leak sensitive company data.
One security technique is protecting systems with usernames and passwords to access any equipment,
wireless networks and sensitive data should be guarded with unique usernames and passwords for
each member of staff, this is for two reasons it is an added layer of security so if someone hacks in
they have to get passed the password and it also allows companies to see what exactly their employees
are accessing, also the passwords that are used should be very strong so the passwords should include
numbers, letters and symbols and not have standard dictionary terms or dates such as birthdays which
are easy to guess. In my opinion, usernames and passwords are very effective because it makes it
harder for hackers to hack in and it allows companies to keep an eye on employees for example they
will be able to see what files they are accessing and if they are a risk to the company. One more
security technique is keeping sensitive data out of the cloud, Cloud computing offers businesses many
benefits like being a cheaper way to

Derrida introduced the concept of deconstruction in the Book of Grammatology, published in France
in 1967. In this theory, deconstruction questions how representation inhibiits reality. How does the
surface get under the skin? In the Western fields of science, art, philosophy and literature, oppostions
such as Inside/outisde, reality/representation and mind/body are often used. Normally, one side of

In graphic design, deconstructivism gave its name to one of the majoy typographic movements,

Underground Man Analysis
Dostoevsky s Underground Man is quite possibly the most interesting anti hero in all of literature. His
unique worldview has both shocked and puzzled readers since the novella s publication. One of his
key characteristics is his tendency towards paradox, especially concerning doubt, shame, and
spitefulness. These paradoxes seem to reflect his era, of which he is often critical to the point of
exhaustion. Other features of the Underground Man s psyche mirror the nineteenth century as well.
For example, his anomie is a result of his life as a clerk in (then) modern Saint Petersburg. The
Underground Man s true self may be shrouded by mystery, but it is clear that he is either telling us that
he lives in all of us through our experiences with alienation, or that if we were anywhere near as self
aware as he is, we would live underground as well. One of the most apparent themes in Notes from
Underground is shame. The famous opening lines, I am a sick man.... I am a spiteful man. I am a most
unpleasant man. set the tone for the rest of the book (707). These are clearly not the words of a person
who holds themselves in very high regard. The Underground Man s shame goes beyond self
deprecation as a human. At one point, he admits that he had wished to become an insect many times
(709). Imagery of pests and vermin continues later on when the Underground Man writes about his
propensity for dwelling on the past. He compares himself to a mouse, who retreats to a hole each night
to go over the day s shortcomings. The forty year old narrator says of the mouse: For forty years on
end it will recall its insult down to the last, most shameful detail; and each time it will add more
shameful details of its own, spitefully teasing and irritating itself with its own fantasy (712). The
section continues like this for a considerable length. The significance of the passage lies in that not
only does the Underground Man compare himself to a mouse, but it is a shame filled mouse that
dwells on the past, twisting the truth just as he does in his writings. The psychological root of this
shame is defined by the Underground Man on page 709, where he writes, I swear to you, gentlemen,
that being overly conscious is a disease, a

The Good The Bad And Your Business
In The Good, the Bad, and Your Business, Jeffery Seglin explains that managers in today s business
world must not only deal with situations pertaining to the workplace, but also make more complicated
decisions regarding their employees personal lives.
Seglin explains that the best managers treat those below them on the corporate ladder not as
subordinates, but as equals. He cites a Gallop Organization study which revealed that employees who
feel cared about, that their opinion matters, and that their companies are family friendly will not only
be happier, but will perform better. This being said, a manager merely saying he values his employees
is not sufficient; rather, the employees must sense that there is substance to the manager s claims.
Similarly, Seglin references Kenneth Goodpaster, who believes that companies have a moral
obligation to avoid harming their employees directly, help employees in need, and respect the rights of
their employees. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

unaware of his emotional objectivity towards his girlfriend, Elizabeth, until the end of the film. When
asked why she has not married him yet, Elizabeth responds, he s still got a lot to learn. I don t want to

While he is aware of his classism towards the wealthy, it is not until the end of the film that he
recognizes that his prejudice towards the upper class is unfair. Connor is not aware of the extent to
which he expresses his dislike of the upper class, in spite of being faced with examples that prove him
wrong.
As the story progresses, Connor begins to realize that the wealthy are as dysfunctional as everyone
else. They have personal dilemmas, trauma, and struggles. His view of Tracy, the epitome in his eyes
of upper class snobbery, begins to change when he discovers her reading his book in the library. Are

Analysis Of Cosi Fan Tutte
Avtaran Jain Cosi Fan Tutte Review Many have heard the saying that art does not have a language
barrier. However, there are times when the expression above fails to hold true for a performance. It in
during these times, that the unison of the audience breaks, and a dichotomy forms. My recent
experience with the play, Cosi Fan Tutte was somewhat similar to the events described above.
Although Cosi Fan Tutte attempts to establish itself in the hearts of the crowd through its talented and
experienced cast, it ultimately fails due to its tediously repetitive song structure and narrow intended
audience. The adeptness and dexterity of an individual have always been fundamental talents to look
for when viewing a performance. These individuals are the one that help the event advance to success.
When it comes to the qualities mentioned above, the cast of Cosi Fan Tutte definitely possess most.
Because Cosi Fan Tutte is a performance written by Mozart, it comes as no surprise that the level of
singing and acting required is highly demanding even for veterans in the industry. Yet, despite all these
hurdles, the cast of the performance is able to captivate and delight the audience through its
outstanding vocal finesse and entertaining characterization. Ferrando, played by Carlos Feliciano and
Guglielmo, played by Eli Glick are the stars of the show, displaying their level of musical acumen
through songs such as Una bella serenata and E voi ridete which require a vocal

Advantages Of Predictive Policing
Can Predictive Policing Benefit Society?
According to Times Magazine, President Donald Trump signed three executive orders that will
intensify the criminalization of communities of color, under the false premise the need to increase law
and order. Racism was bad before Trump, now it has worsened, is there anything else that could make
things worse? In Police Program Aims to Pinpoint Those Most Likely To Commit Crimes by John
Eligon and Timothy Williams it states that predictive policing is using math and police awareness to
stop or prevent crimes from happening. ...An experiment taking place in dozens of police departments
across the country, one in which authorities have turned to complex computer algorithms to try to
pinpoint people most likely to be involved in future crimes (Eligon and Williams). This means that
police use predictive policing as a way to stop crimes from happening based on data. There are
benefits and disadvantages that predictive policing contain. When looking at the issue of predictive
policing, many might argue that predictive policing is beneficial because it can reduce crime rates and
prevent deaths from happening through the use of social media. However, predictive policing has
more disadvantages because of being accused guilty of whom you associate with and the use of
inaccurate data leads to unfair policing.
It may be true that previous crimes have been stopped due to predictive policing, and that predictive
policing has prevented

An Analysis Of Louise Erdrich s The Red Convertible
Mailk Sims Often times, an inanimate object can be as important and sometimes more important than
the characters of the story. In Louise Erdrich s The Red Convertible, the car played the same important
role as the characters did, but for different reasons. Two brothers, Lyman and Henry, had very little in
common other than their blood. One day they decided to catch a ride to Winnipeg. The car was
introduced while these two were doing some sightseeing in the city. They spotted the red Oldsmobile
convertible. Lyman, the storyteller, almost made the car a living thing when he said, There it was,
parked, large as life. Really as if it were alive. (461) The brothers used all of the money they had, less
some change for gas to get home, to buy the car. The car s significance was the bond that it created
between the brothers. The purchase of the vehicle brought these two together with a common interest:
the car. Once the bond was formed, the brothers became inseparable, at least for a while. The boys
spent the whole summer in the car. They explored new places; met new people and furthered the bond
that the car had created. When they returned from their trip, Henry was sent to war. He left the car
with Lyman. While Henry was gone, Lyman spent his time pampering and fixing the car. Lyman saw
the car as an extension of Henry. Lyman used the car to maintain an emotional bond with his brother
who was thousands of miles away. During the war, Henry was taken P.O.W. and spent time

A Fluorescent Mirna Sensor For The Study Of Exrna And Drug...
A Fluorescent miRNA Sensor for the Study of exRNA and Drug Delivery
Abstract: Increasing evidence suggests cell to cell communication is possible through extracellular
RNAs (exRNAs). RNA (including mRNA, miRNA, or lincRNA) has, on many accounts, been found
packaged inside extracellular vesicles (EVs) which may traverse through a variety of bodily fluids to
be taken up by a recipient cell. The biological significance of exRNAs is largely unknown. However,
preliminary studies suggest they may play a role in a variety of important biological processes,
including stem cell maintenance, apoptosis, and cancer metastasis. Furthermore, there is much hope in
eventually utilizing EVs as a drug delivery vector to supply damaged tissues with therapeutic RNAs.
Such a system could overcome the immunological challenges associated with viral vectors. Advances
in understanding the biology of exRNA transfer have been hindered by a lack of dynamic methods for
detecting changes in RNA concentration in vivo. Northern blotting, microarray, and PCR based
approaches are invasive, and sometimes lack sensitivity when dealing with small quantities of RNA.
While evidence of their significance is growing, to date no exRNA has been shown to enter and
function in a cell in vivo. To address these issues, I have been working on the development of a sensor
system for detecting exogenous small RNAs. This molecular sensor will exploit the ability of
microRNAs (miRNAs) to bind to, and repress, target

Student Non Violent Coordinating Committee
Young people throughout history have been drawn to social movements. These social movements
often included marches and non violent protesting, but not all of them included violence at the hands
of police or nights where sleep is impossible because of fear. The young people involved in Freedom
Summer in 1964 would change the course of history, but not without significant sacrifices. Freedom
Summer or the Mississippi Summer Project was the brainchild of the Student Non Violent
Coordinating Committee or SNCC. The project had four main goals, to expand African American
voter registration, to organize a legally constituted Freedom Democratic Party that will challenge the
whites only Mississippi Democratic Party, to establish freedom schools and to open community
centers where legal and medical assistance were available. In order to achieve these goals SNCC
specifically recruited 800 white students under the age of 21. Most of the volunteers were white
students who had participated in civil rights activities in the North...The fact that the volunteers were
expected to forgo summer jobs, to pay for their own transportation, and to provide their own bond
money in the event of arrest ensured that affluent students predominated. These students joined the
already solid African American activist core in the South. The African American staff members who
worked with the white volunteers often felt ambivalent about the need for white people to be hurt

However, According to Freud, the super ego exists as a way to level out the ego, and, in a way, keep it
in check. Therefore, the super ego is responsible for an individual s conscience, or, their ability to feel
guilt. Freud continues his explanation of these concepts by asserting the idea that the super ego calls
our attention to our own failures and misconducts, and attempts to assist us in learning from them in
order to avoid making similar mistakes in the future. Furthermore, the conscience is the form in which
the super ego controls our actions and thoughts, and creates guilt within us. Therefore, the ego is the
decision making, acting part of an individual, while the super ego acts as the ego s voice of authority
and control (Freud).
Moreover, the relationship between the characters of Dante and Virgil in Dante s Inferno stands as an
excellent example of the relationship between the ego and the super ego. In the opening of the poem,
the character of Dante finds himself lost in a place he does not know, surrounded by terrifying beasts.
In this dark moment, Virgil, a ghost from an earlier time, comes forwards and reveals to Dante that,
because sin has obstructed his path to God, he must journey through hell and purgatory in order to
return to life, as he once knew it. This journey, according to Virgil, would allow Dante to overcome
his sin and, at last, find God s love. However, Dante does not believe he can complete the journey
alone, at which point Virgil

What Is The Vedic Age Essay
The Vedic age in India started around 1500 BC with the arrival of Aryans, an Indo European tribe
from central Asia near the Caspian Sea. Aryans settled along the banks of the Indus and its tributaries
in the northern part of the subcontinent. Initially, it was a tribal society centred in northwest India and
by 1000 BC, it spread along the Gangetic plain with the development of modern agriculture. Aryans
dominated the local indigenous population and often ruled over them. Over time, the interbreeding
with the local residents led to the emergence of mixed culture. The Vedic age lasted from 1500 BC to
500 BC. Agriculture and cattle rearing were the main occupations of the people. The Vedas and
Upanishads were written during this period. The early Vedic beliefs formed the foundation of
Hinduism. People worshipped Gods such as Indra, Agni, Varuna, Vayu, Prajapati, Vishnu, Rudra, etc.

The Development And Challenge Of 3d Printing
Title
The Development and Challenge of 3D Printing
Introduction
In recent years 3D printing arouses focus of public with appearing in a huge number of areas. In this
essay, it will describe 3D printing which is one important application of rapid prototyping.
Rapid prototyping (RP) is general for several techniques, which read in data from computer aided
design (CAD) drawings and manufacture automatically three dimensional objects layer by layer
according to the virtual design (Sanna 2008).
3D printing also known as additive manufacturing is any of various processes used to make a three
dimensional object. In 3D printing, additive processes are used in which successive layers of material
are laid down under computer control. These objects can be almost any shape or geometry and are
produced from a 3D model or other electronic data source. A 3D printer is a type of industrial robot.
Due to the limitation of space this essay will introduce the basic principle of just four kinds of main
printers nowadays and their positive application in construction. The essay left will focus on the two
main challenge this technology is facing now and predict the possible development direction.
Basic principle
At the begin of manufacturer,3D printable models ought to be created by a computer aided design

Wildlife is an important part of ecological community as it plays an important role in the environment.
I know that conservation and management of wildlife is a very complex issue, but to save wildlife, we

that status is just a label through showing love does not abide by these boundaries, status does not

Marriage plays a major role in Romeo and Juliet from the beginning. In Act 1, Scene 2, Paris asks
Lord Capulet for his permission to marry Juliet. Lord Capulet tells him to wait because Juliet is still
too young and that Paris needs to woo Juliet because she would have some say in who she would
marry. This was extremely uncommon during the time period. During the Elizabethan Era, girls were
often married young, to men chosen by their fathers who they barely knew. Later in that same act, in
Scene 3, Lady Capulet asks Juliet if she could see herself marrying Paris, to which Juliet answers that
she had never really thought about marriage. If that thy bent of love be honorable, Thy purpose

The cancer is usually seen in HIV positive patients because HIV weakens the immune system, making
the infected susceptible to uncommon or rare pathogens. Kaposi sarcoma (KS) is a cancer that
develops from the cells that line lymph or blood vessels. It usually appears as tumors on the skin or on
mucosal surfaces such as inside the mouth, but tumors can also develop in other parts of the body,
such as in the lymph nodes (bean sized collections of immune cells throughout the body), the lungs, or
digestive tract. KS can cause serious problems or even become life threatening when the lesions are in
the lungs, liver, or digestive tract. KS in the digestive tract, for example, can cause bleeding, while
tumors in the lungs may cause trouble breathing. A person infected with HIV (that is, who is HIV
positive) does not necessarily have AIDS. The virus can be present in the body for a long time, often
many years, before causing major illness. The disease known as AIDS begins when the virus has
seriously damaged the immune system, which results in certain types of infections or other medical

represents the state of civilization on the island, the slow deterioration of this civilization, and finally
the extinction of all of the civilization on the island. With the discovery of the conch shell it comes to
symbolize the rise of civilization on the island. When Piggy exclaims to Ralph Careful! You ll break it
(15) as he goes to pick up the shell, it shows the fragility of civilization and how one wrong move can
shatter it. After that, Piggy then goes on to explain how valuable the conch is and how much it would

This will enhance the patient experience and improve patient outcomes while contributing to organisational priorities, for example reducing hospital acquired infections and staff sickness rates. to ensure that nursing is able to sustain quality care and remain responsive to individuals needs on a daily basis (Box 1). Case study Nursing leadership and responsiveness is demonstrated when opportunities for the development of new services to meet the changing needs of service users are identified. This often involves developing new skills in the nursing team or taking on roles previously undertaken by other team members. A good example of this is the work undertaken by Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust ophthalmic nurse practitioner Brian Kingett. • 3. Essay about Denali National Park National Parks have awed tourists and even locals for years. They provide an escape from the ordinary and relief from the everyday stress of society. National Parks provide insight into a simpler time where our ancestors were surrounded by the beauty of nature instead of the concrete jungles of modern day metropolitan areas. Few of these wonderful parks provide the same seclusion as Denali National Park in Alaska. It s sights and sounds have fascinated many and will continue to provide a great escape from everyday life. Though the weather can be harsh, Denali provides an experience like no other for camping. Within Denali, they offer seven campgrounds with about 290 campsites(Denali). They also have four developed campgrounds for those not wanting to experience nature in its fullest(What to Do). They even have two cabins that can be used year round(What to Do). In addition, they offer special areas for backpackers, large groups, and even a bus specifically for campers(Denali). Many of those camping in the park will have the opportunity to experience Denali through its hiking trails. According to Denali, June is the best time of year to experience Denali hiking. There are numerous trails where wildflowers and beautiful colored mushrooms are visible. Hiking maps are available in the Visitor s Center for those wishing to experience this(Denali). War Without Mercy by Dower Essay War Without Mercy by Dower In War Without Mercy , Dower s principle is a surprising one: Though Western allies were clearly headed for victory, pure racism fueled the persistence and increase of hostilities in the Pacific setting during the final year of World War II, a period that saw as many casualties as in the first five years of the conflict combined. Dower does not reach this disturbing conclusion lightly. He combed through loads of propaganda films, news articles, military documents, and cartoons. Through all of the destruction and devastation of the Japanese, they come with this counterpoint that was heightened by a commentary in which Japan s rhetoric of co existence and co prosperity was recited while the screen showed the devastation of China s cities and the mutilated corpses of its men, women, and children. In the United States and Britain, Dower reminds us, the Japanese were more hated than the Germans before as well as after Pearl Harbor. On this, there was no dispute among contemporary observers. They were perceived as a race apart, even a species apart and an overpoweringly monolithic one at that. There was no Japanese counterpart to the good German in the popular consciousness of the Western Allies. (8) But there are two answers in the book that gives us a reason on why there was more hatred towards the Japanese than the Germans. The Crucible And The Scarlet Letter The quote To belong is to understand the tacit codes of the people you live with from Michael Ignatieff is explaining that with every group of people in society, there is a certain set of logical unspoken rules that are not written rules. The understanding and following of these rules will allow you to belong in most groups. Unspoken rules are what make a group who they are. The Crucible and The Scarlet Letter both have perfect examples for the relationship between unspoken rules and belonging. Also, these works take place in the 17th century around the same area. These examples help show the relationship between unspoken rules leading to belonging. The disregard for unspoken rules cost lives at this time in history. In The Scarlet Letter, an adulterer named Hester was shunned by the church and society. This book also has the church as the main group. The main unspoken rule dealt with was adultery. Hester s husband had sent her ahead to America. She had an affair with a priest and this was just something that you did not do, and it was a logical unspoken rule that was broken, and, therefore, she was unable to really belong in this town for a very long time. It covers several areas such as locking the computer room and the computer itself, protecting login accounts with passwords, encrypting network communication lines and use of file protection among others. Whitman (2011) points out that computer system security ensures that your computer does what it is supposed to, even if the users do what they should not do. Discretionary Access Control (DAC) is a type of access controls that provides protection to the files in a computer system. This type of control restricts access to files based on the identity of users or groups which they belong. It is discretionary and lets you tell the computer system who can have access to your files and therefore you can specify the type of access allowed. For example, you can allow anyone to read a particular file in the system, but allow only you to be able to change it. According to Whitman (2011), this type of control access is rarely used with high security systems because someone with permission to access files is able to pass that permission either directly or indirectly on to any other person. This capability poses a threat to the security of the files and can be dangerous to a high security system. An organization that requires high security, but the operating system only supports DAC, can compensate with the use of an Access Control List (ACL). Adelard was viewed as a traitor to the French Canadians for multiple reason but mostly for trying to conscript them into the war, and his good relationship with Mackenzie King. His action to send a military to fight Hitler was derived from the Nazi s saying: To conquer Eastern Canada, we must subjugate French Canadians . Andre Laurendeau drew comparison from the way English Canadians oppressed French Canadians in the same way Hitler oppressed smaller nations like Poland. In the height of his political career, Adelard continued to push for conscription which led to the Conscription Crisis of 1944. This was a less drastic version of the Conscription Crisis of 1917, which Mackenzie King tried very hard not to replicate. Bankers and debtors disagreed; there was economic competition between states, along with conflicts over western land ownership. Despite the enormous gap between advocates of the differing approaches, a number of important compromises were worked out. For instance, the Commerce Compromise which regulated trade between states and the Great Compromise which dealt with representation for the states in Congress. • 14. Crime Rate And Crime Rates Complying with the order to release 9,600 inmates by year s end will increase the crime rate. Since the release of one prisoner is associated with an increase of 14.86 crimes per year (Levitt 1996), compliance is projected to increase crimes by 142,656 per year. It is possible to minimize the social costs of crime despite this increase in crime rate, though. If inmates convicted of property crimes are the release s focus, the subsequent social cost will be comparatively less than if it was otherwise implemented. Sentence enhancements have been shown to reduce certain types of crime (Kessler and Levitt 1999), but such measures are typically focused on the most frequent and dangerous offenders (Kessler and Levitt 1999, p. 359), and those who commit property crime are unlikely to be classified as such. So sentence reductions may increase violent crime rates, but the effect on property crime rates is unknown. The best way to comply with the order, then, is to release inmates convicted of property crimes and to not implement sentence reduction. How to structure the release Property crimes (burglary, larceny, and auto theft) are the most likely to increase following a release of prisoners, but also the least costly. They make up 84.12% of the projected increase in crime, but only 15.96% of the projected social cost (Levitt 1996). One security technique is protecting systems with usernames and passwords to access any equipment, wireless networks and sensitive data should be guarded with unique usernames and passwords for each member of staff, this is for two reasons it is an added layer of security so if someone hacks in they have to get passed the password and it also allows companies to see what exactly their employees are accessing, also the passwords that are used should be very strong so the passwords should include numbers, letters and symbols and not have standard dictionary terms or dates such as birthdays which are easy to guess. In my opinion, usernames and passwords are very effective because it makes it harder for hackers to hack in and it allows companies to keep an eye on employees for example they will be able to see what files they are accessing and if they are a risk to the company. • 17. Underground Man Analysis Dostoevsky s Underground Man is quite possibly the most interesting anti hero in all of literature. His unique worldview has both shocked and puzzled readers since the novella s publication. One of his key characteristics is his tendency towards paradox, especially concerning doubt, shame, and spitefulness. These paradoxes seem to reflect his era, of which he is often critical to the point of exhaustion. Other features of the Underground Man s psyche mirror the nineteenth century as well. For example, his anomie is a result of his life as a clerk in (then) modern Saint Petersburg. The Underground Man s true self may be shrouded by mystery, but it is clear that he is either telling us that he lives in all of us through our experiences with alienation, or that if we were anywhere near as self aware as he is, we would live underground as well. One of the most apparent themes in Notes from Underground is shame. The famous opening lines, I am a sick man.... I am a spiteful man. I am a most unpleasant man. set the tone for the rest of the book (707). These are clearly not the words of a person who holds themselves in very high regard. The Underground Man s shame goes beyond self deprecation as a human. At one point, he admits that he had wished to become an insect many times (709). Imagery of pests and vermin continues later on when the Underground Man writes about his propensity for dwelling on the past. He compares himself to a mouse, who retreats to a hole each night to go over the day s shortcomings. The forty year old narrator says of the mouse: For forty years on end it will recall its insult down to the last, most shameful detail; and each time it will add more shameful details of its own, spitefully teasing and irritating itself with its own fantasy (712). The section continues like this for a considerable length. The significance of the passage lies in that not only does the Underground Man compare himself to a mouse, but it is a shame filled mouse that dwells on the past, twisting the truth just as he does in his writings. The psychological root of this shame is defined by the Underground Man on page 709, where he writes, I swear to you, gentlemen, that being overly conscious is a disease, a ... This being said, a manager merely saying he values his employees is not sufficient; rather, the employees must sense that there is substance to the manager s claims. Although Cosi Fan Tutte attempts to establish itself in the hearts of the crowd through its talented and experienced cast, it ultimately fails due to its tediously repetitive song structure and narrow intended audience. The adeptness and dexterity of an individual have always been fundamental talents to look for when viewing a performance. These individuals are the one that help the event advance to success. When it comes to the qualities mentioned above, the cast of Cosi Fan Tutte definitely possess most. Because Cosi Fan Tutte is a performance written by Mozart, it comes as no surprise that the level of singing and acting required is highly demanding even for veterans in the industry. Yet, despite all these hurdles, the cast of the performance is able to captivate and delight the audience through its outstanding vocal finesse and entertaining characterization. Ferrando, played by Carlos Feliciano and Guglielmo, played by Eli Glick are the stars of the show, displaying their level of musical acumen through songs such as Una bella serenata and E voi ridete which require a vocal ... According to Times Magazine, President Donald Trump signed three executive orders that will intensify the criminalization of communities of color, under the false premise the need to increase law and order. Racism was bad before Trump, now it has worsened, is there anything else that could make things worse? In Police Program Aims to Pinpoint Those Most Likely To Commit Crimes by John Eligon and Timothy Williams it states that predictive policing is using math and police awareness to stop or prevent crimes from happening. ...An experiment taking place in dozens of police departments across the country, one in which authorities have turned to complex computer algorithms to try to pinpoint people most likely to be involved in future crimes (Eligon and Williams). This means that police use predictive policing as a way to stop crimes from happening based on data. There are benefits and disadvantages that predictive policing contain. When looking at the issue of predictive policing, many might argue that predictive policing is beneficial because it can reduce crime rates and prevent deaths from happening through the use of social media. However, predictive policing has more disadvantages because of being accused guilty of whom you associate with and the use of inaccurate data leads to unfair policing. • 23. An Analysis Of Louise Erdrich s The Red Convertible Mailk Sims Often times, an inanimate object can be as important and sometimes more important than the characters of the story. In Louise Erdrich s The Red Convertible, the car played the same important role as the characters did, but for different reasons. Two brothers, Lyman and Henry, had very little in common other than their blood. One day they decided to catch a ride to Winnipeg. The car was introduced while these two were doing some sightseeing in the city. They spotted the red Oldsmobile convertible. Lyman, the storyteller, almost made the car a living thing when he said, There it was, parked, large as life. Really as if it were alive. (461) The brothers used all of the money they had, less some change for gas to get home, to buy the car. The car s significance was the bond that it created between the brothers. The purchase of the vehicle brought these two together with a common interest: the car. Once the bond was formed, the brothers became inseparable, at least for a while. The boys spent the whole summer in the car. They explored new places; met new people and furthered the bond that the car had created. When they returned from their trip, Henry was sent to war. He left the car with Lyman. While Henry was gone, Lyman spent his time pampering and fixing the car. Lyman saw the car as an extension of Henry. Lyman used the car to maintain an emotional bond with his brother who was thousands of miles away. During the war, Henry was taken P.O.W. and spent time ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 24. A Fluorescent Mirna Sensor For The Study Of Exrna And Drug... A Fluorescent miRNA Sensor for the Study of exRNA and Drug Delivery Abstract: Increasing evidence suggests cell to cell communication is possible through extracellular RNAs (exRNAs). RNA (including mRNA, miRNA, or lincRNA) has, on many accounts, been found packaged inside extracellular vesicles (EVs) which may traverse through a variety of bodily fluids to be taken up by a recipient cell. The biological significance of exRNAs is largely unknown. However, preliminary studies suggest they may play a role in a variety of important biological processes, including stem cell maintenance, apoptosis, and cancer metastasis. Furthermore, there is much hope in eventually utilizing EVs as a drug delivery vector to supply damaged tissues with therapeutic RNAs. Such a system could overcome the immunological challenges associated with viral vectors. Advances in understanding the biology of exRNA transfer have been hindered by a lack of dynamic methods for detecting changes in RNA concentration in vivo. Northern blotting, microarray, and PCR based approaches are invasive, and sometimes lack sensitivity when dealing with small quantities of RNA. While evidence of their significance is growing, to date no exRNA has been shown to enter and function in a cell in vivo. To address these issues, I have been working on the development of a sensor system for detecting exogenous small RNAs. This molecular sensor will exploit the ability of microRNAs (miRNAs) to bind to, and repress, target ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... However, According to Freud, the super ego exists as a way to level out the ego, and, in a way, keep it in check. Therefore, the super ego is responsible for an individual s conscience, or, their ability to feel guilt. Freud continues his explanation of these concepts by asserting the idea that the super ego calls our attention to our own failures and misconducts, and attempts to assist us in learning from them in order to avoid making similar mistakes in the future. Furthermore, the conscience is the form in which the super ego controls our actions and thoughts, and creates guilt within us. Therefore, the ego is the decision making, acting part of an individual, while the super ego acts as the ego s voice of authority and control (Freud). Moreover, the relationship between the characters of Dante and Virgil in Dante s Inferno stands as an excellent example of the relationship between the ego and the super ego. In the opening of the poem, the character of Dante finds himself lost in a place he does not know, surrounded by terrifying beasts. In this dark moment, Virgil, a ghost from an earlier time, comes forwards and reveals to Dante that, because sin has obstructed his path to God, he must journey through hell and purgatory in order to return to life, as he once knew it. The poor will always exist in the society as the inferior group while the rich are the superiors who control various aspects and sectors of the society. The conflict theory explains that there is always a disparity that exists in the society due to the presence of limited resources as well as the variations in the skills and knowledge. It will always happen that in the society there are the wealthy and elite, the middle class people and the poor who have the lower status in the society.
