Energy comes from sources like fossil fuels such as coal, oil, and natural gas, which were formed from decaying plants and animals millions of years ago. While the Philippines has some coal and oil reserves, they are not sufficient to meet the country's growing energy demands, resulting in reliance on imports. Coal reserves in the Philippines are mostly low-rank lignite coal. Crude oil is found primarily in Palawan and is refined into products like gasoline and diesel. The Philippines also has natural gas reserves, with the largest field being the Malampaya gas field off Palawan, which supplies gas to power plants via a 504 km pipeline. However, the country still relies on other nations for much of its crude oil supply
3. Energy is the ability or the capacity to do work. It is the source
of power for mechanisms and organisms without it nothing will work.
4. Common sources of energy are fossil fuels like coal, oil and
natural gas. They are all non-renewable sources and are
naturally made from decaying plants and animals that existed
million years ago.
In the Philippines , reserves of fossil fuels are present.
However , these resources are not Enough to supply the
growing demand for energy, hence, our reliance on continued
importation of petroleum.
5. Coal is a hard, black, rocklike substance made up of carbon,
hydrogen , oxygen, nitrogen, and sulfur. Here in the Philippines coal
reserves are mostly made up of those which belongs to the lowest rank,
Lignite. Lignite is the softest kind of coal. While anthracite is the best kind
of coal.
6. Coal is mined, may be open
pit mining or underground

7. Due to the extensive developments in new
natural gas projects Philippines' coal industry is struggling.
Another thing is that there are lots oaf things to consider
like the geological conditions resulting to difficulty in
mechanization
8. Crude oil, also known as petroleum is unprocessed oil from
underground reserves. It is Primarily made up of hydro carbons and is one
of the most important energy sources in the world. Crude oil can be
sources of different by-products such as gasoline, kerosene and diesel. It
can also be refined to create polymers that are used to make plastics. All
these and more make the crude oil one of the main factors that dictate the
prices of goods and even services.
9. Crude Oil are found in:

13. The Philippines has large reserves of natural gas , an odorless and
colorless chemical compound. Unfortunately due to lack of modern
technology and funding , no significant production took place until late
2001.
14. Natural gas are found
underneath the earth's
surface together with the
coals and oil.

Malampaya Gas Field - triggered
significant progress in the countryโs
natural gas sector. Largest Natural gas
exploration in the Philippine history. It
contains about 2.6 trillion cubic feet of
natural gas. It is connected to three
power plants in Batangas by a 504-km
pipeline Which was one of the longest
in the world.
16. Many parts of the Philippines have made a big leap
from agriculture to industrialization. This increased the countryโs
needs for crude oil.
For along period of time , Philippines has dependent on
other countries for its crude oil supply. This made the country
vulnerable to sudden changes in world oil prices.
