Examples Of God In Night By Elie Wiesel
Tayson Neely
Ms. Scannell
English 2
10/2/17
God is a deity that in Elie wiesel s night, Elie Wiesel worshipped and in the novel those who
worshipped him stopped believing or just generally didn t believe. Before the holocaust and the
ghettos all started in the beginning of the novel all of the Jews had strong a faithful religion with
their God. Elie in the beginning had a very strong faithful religion. He studied the Jewish Oral
Law and he also studied Kabbalah. He started to have belief problems with his religion when they
were moved from the ghettos to their first camp Buna. When he arrived there and was there after
awhile when he saw some of things that were happening he started questioning why God would let
what was happening happen.
Later on in the novel two Jewish holidays pass Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. Rosh Hashanah is
the celebration of a new year and Yom Kippur is the Day of Atonement. During these two
holidays all of the Jews except Elie celebrated these holidays. While the rest of Jews were
celebrating Elie was questioning now if God even existed and if so whys he still allowing all of
these deaths and poor treatment of the Jewish people happen. Then at the end of the novel Elie
didn t believe in him anymore. All he could wonder was why would any God allowed so many
deaths and cruel treatments to happen. The view Adolf Hitler had on the Jewish peoples was that
everything was their faults and he hated them. Before Hitler became a Dictator he was a soldier
just like everyone else in World War 1 and when the German Empire lost he was in disbelief and
just couldn t believe it. Many nationalist and conservatives believed that Germany had not lost the
war on the battlefield but due to betrayal from within, by a stab in the back . Socialists,
communists and particularly Jews were blamed, even though more than 100,000 German and
Austrian Jews had served in the war and 12,000 had been killed.
Hitler then joined NSDAP where he started to gain his power by becoming their strongman due
too being able to inspire people with his speeches. In his speeches he claimed Jews were not only
responsible for the unfair German defeat but were also blocking Germany s recovery. This kind of
shows what he thought of

Literary Criticism Of Deuteronomy
The book of Deuteronomy is regarded as the fixed book for Old Testament study. Deuteronomy
was the book of the law which was found in the temple in the time of King Josiah. Its theology and
ideas were fixed to be used in the seventh century BC. Deuteronomy could also be used as to date
other Old Testamentbooks. In the study of literary and source critic, Deuteronomy was obscured to
understand. In this form critic questions to the book. What is the social setting of life Sitz im Leben
? What kind of book is it to contain diverse elements like historical surveys, moral exhortation,
ceremonial laws, curses, poems and descriptions of solemn rituals? (pg. 40). Many scholars
answered Deuteronomy as the written for against vassal treaty. And they questioned about the
relations between God and Israelites. If it is true we need to suggest which context in ancient Israel
was presented as the same relationship between the ruler and the clients, God and Israel. In
addition, the author mentions that as Deuteronomy is... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Literary analysis of the Old Testament is searching the characters and the movement of the text. It
studies Who says the text and to whom the text was said? What happened? According to the
Oxford Biblical studies, literary criticism is the investigation of sources and problem of authorship.
Therefore literary criticism helps us to know the original sources of the biblical text. The texts itself
show that what kind of genre or writing of the texts. And in the case of Pentateuch, most Christians
believe that the book of Pentateuch was written by Moses. But by the help of literary criticism, we
can know that this is the amalgamating of small fragments. But I believe that some portions were
written by Moses. Barton mentions two different points of view on the Book of Pentateuch,

The Brahmin’s Son Essay example
Analysis: The Brahmin s Son
Despite his solid spiritual upbringing among the Brahmins, Siddhartha still seeks the meaning of
life, and he embarks on a quest to find enlightenment. Brahmins are members of the highest of the
four interdependent groups, called castes, that make up Hindu society. Members of the Brahmin
caste were originally priests with the primary duty of mediating with and praying to gods, and they
were respected for their intellect and their knowledge of the Vedas, the sacred Hindu religious texts.
In The Brahmin s Son, Siddhartha meditates on the syllable Om, which represents perfection and
unity. Om suggests the holy power that animates everything within and around us. This power does
not have form or substance, but it ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Ritual and formula govern Siddhartha s father s world. Life in this world revolves around
sacrifices and offerings made at certain times and the performance of established duties that
everyone, even Siddhartha s father, must take part in. The father s world, then, is fixed in the
moment and regulated according to certain accepted guidelines. Nothing will change from one day
to the next. Siddhartha s father s request at the end of this chapter that Siddhartha return home to
teach his father if he is successful is an admission that Siddhartha is right, that the gods are only
objects of veneration and not living companions. The people in this world suffer from a way of life
that was forced on them, and their strict rituals and schedules stand between them and the reality
they seek.
He lost his Self a thousand times and for days on end he dwelt in non being. But although the
paths took him away from Self, in the end they always led back to it.

Siddhartha and Govinda begin wandering with the Samanas. They quickly adopt the ways of their
new teachers, dressing in rags and taking only the barest sustenance necessary to preserve life.
Soon, Siddhartha and Govinda adopt the starved and beaten appearance shared by the other

Agenda Setting Theroy
Agenda setting theory Introduction: There is no question that communication is an important
element in our life. We can learn how to communicate either by our experiences which probably
will take a longtime to learn or by studying the experiences and theories of others. In
Communication theory we have learned many theories that are very important to understanding
human Communication. Communication is not more important nowadays than before because it s
always been an important aspect of human existence. These days communication style has been
developed and has changed dramatically due to the media and the technology. Communications
between cultures have never been better than today. A consequence of the development of the
media technology is that media now plays a major influence on societies and in some countries
the media is considered the fourth branch of government. In my discussion, I have selected
agenda setting theory, which is explained by Donald Shaw, Maxwell McCombs, and their
colleagues. I chose this theory because of its significance and because it has more explanation of
what can be explained beyond the TV shows and reports. Media and freedom of speech is an
important thing in America, however I think there is a real communication problem in the way
media portrays the Arab World to the American people. There is a misperception in America about
the Arab world and this problem is a result of the way that the media portrays events and the way
that they pick

H2ocl Molecules Lab Report
Occurring first in the synthesis process, an electrophilic chlorine atom forms a coordinate covalent
bond with the nitrogen atom s two unbonded election. This occurs as chlorine is a group seven
element and, therefore requires one electron to achieve the desired full valence electron shell.
However, in this circumstance the H2OCl moleculehas an overall positive charge allowing the
chlorine to accept both electron to form a full outer shell. Another possible cause for the nitrogen s
affiliation with the positive water molecule is its negative charge. With two unbonded electron the
nitrogen has a large negative charge creating strong intermolecular force of attraction between the
nitrogen and chlorine.
The formation of this bond then leaves the nitrogen positively charged. As the nitrogen atom is not
in its most stable state without a unbonded pair of electrons, the intramolecular forces surrounding
the nitrogen drive most of the changes to the imipramine molecule through the synthesis. ... Show

As the water molecule moves closer to the nitrogen it s negative charge forces the electrons in
chlorine s bond closer to the chlorine molecule. During this process both the water and chlorine
atom are bonded with the nitrogen resulting in the formation of a temporary dipole. As nitrogen can
only have four bonds, the bonded chlorine atom with a lower electrostatic attraction to nitrogen
than water is forced to dissociate. Originally the nitrogen atoms unbonded pair of electrons are
removed from the imipramine molecule during this process as the electrons are held closer to the
chlorine atom due to its electronegativity of 3.16 slightly higher than nitrogen s value of 3.04

Book Review on the French Revolution and the People Essay
For my report I read The French Revolution and the People by David Andress to learn what were
the reasons causing the French Revolutionary War. The main thesis of the book is the known
problems and reactions which affected the events and outcomes of the revolution in every stage,
now everyone in France was affected by the revolution. I agree with the author s thesis on many
different levels. Since the multiple troubles the people had at that time did not originate just then
but decades before. As well with constant economic pressure of all the upper classes upon them
only worsened the situation. Since all the troubles and problems of the poor were never looked
after, now everyone in France gets a taste of the revolution. First,... Show more content on

The churches collect tithes and since the right to collect tithes was owned by both the lay

Second, how seigneurialism did not get rid of feudalism but only changed it for the seigneurs to

lords wanted more money and they couldn t tax serfs who didn t get paid. The seigneurs had
many rights such over extensive land, an annual rent, a share of harvest; fee if land has changed

forbidding peasants from killing anything without privilege, as well as the right to ride over

Teen Depression In Teens
Depression In Teens Suicide is the second leading cause of death in adolescence fifteenth through
nineteen only after traffic accidents (Klass). Teenage depression is a serious mental health
problem that causes teens to have the persistent feeling of sadness and lack of interest in
activities. Depression changes the way teens think, feel, and behave. Some people may wonder
why depression is even a concern, but depression itself causes two thirds of suicides (Department
of Health). Most people don t know what causes depression, the most common causes of
depression are biological chemistry, hormones, it can also be inherited; some people s depression
stems from childhood trauma, or having negative thoughts that give you a negative mood. There
are chemicals in the brain that if abnormal or impaired the function of nerve receptors and nerve
systems change, leading to depression. Inheriting depression is not simple, no one simply inherits
depression from their mother or father, each person inherits a unique combination of genes from
their mother and father, and certain combinations can predispose them to a particular illness
(Department of Health). Childhood trauma, such as sexual or physical abuse, domestic violence,
neglect or parental loss, can have long lasting consequences, researchers are exploring the effects
of early trauma on the stress response systems (Department of Health) that can later can lead to
depression later in life. Teen depression may be linked to

The Endangered Species Act President Nixon
When signing the Endangered Species Act President Nixon said, Nothing is more priceless and
more worthy of preservation than the rich array of animal life with which our country has been
blessed. The Endangered Species Act was enforced in 1973 providing protection for species that
are being threatened in their habitats. Making a point to save endangered animals, not only allows
people to see the protected animals living in a free and serene environment, but it invokes a sense
of happiness.
An endangered species is a plant or an animal at risk of becoming extinct. Scientists have estimated
that up to one third of species in the U.S. are at a high risk of extinction. In addition to donating
millions of acres of land, this is essential to the recovery and survival of the endangered; the Act has
shown a ninety percent recovery rate for species in the U.S. The main causes of endangerment
include loss of habitat, excessive hunting, and pollution.
Within the Endangered Species Act, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service helps watch over and
investigate the health of different species. Then, local and national scientist collects data to
determine if a species gets put on the Endangered Species list. The main factor to determine the
endangerment of a species is if a large percentage of the species habitat has been destroyed. Next,
note if the animal s population has been excessively decreasing, threatened by disease, or any
terrorized by any predators. Also, record any man made

sent and how it is perceived. This essay will explain the Attitudes the Christian influence shows
in each elegy. The Seafarer has a more explicitly Christian message in terms of the directness of
the message. It talks about a man s journey and his walk through life. How he realizes that the life
he is currently leading will eventually have an end. He goes on to let the reader know his accounts

transaction. The men sit back and wait for a girl to marry, whereas I have to calculate and
contrive, and retreat and advance, as if I were going through and intricate dance, where one
misstep would throw me hopelessly out of time (Wharton 38). Yet Wharton establishes that Lily
would not merely marry a man just for his money, She leaned forward, holding the tip of her

Big Bang And The Creation Of Energy And Matter
Big Bang Theory:
Explain what occurred during the Big Bang, including the creation of energy and matter:
The universe was created by the Big Bang. Just before the Big Bang, the universe was just
unbelievably hot and at a very dense point, it burst to expand space faster than light which was at
10 34of a second. The universe doubled in size at least 90 times from the dense point. But the
speed of the space spreading became to change to a slower rate still continuing at this time and day.
As space, expanded universe cooled itself down and matter formed. Another second after the Big

Persuasive Essay On Underage Drinking
The law does not stop underage drinking. In the United States, the minimum drinking age is 21,
while in many other countries it ranges from 16 18. In Germany, minors who are as young as
fourteen can drink alcoholic beverages including wine and beer within the supervison of a parent or
legal guardian. There has been much controversy over alcoholfor numerous years, the most recent
argument is whether the legal drinking ageshould be twenty one or lowered to eighteen. Minimizing
the legal drinking age from twenty one to eighteen would be a successful step in reshaping the
binge drinking culturein this country, encouraging young adults to safely participate in the activity
of drinking alcohol, and permitting those of legal age the chance to entirely and responsibly make
adult decisions.
College students across the nation are engaging in the illegal activity of drinking alcohol every
weekend. M. B. Esser M. Siegel, who are both medical doctors, say A systematic literature
review found that as youth are exposed to a greater volume of alcohol marketing, they are more
likely to drink or for those who already drink, to drink more. (Esser, and Siegel 426) This concept
makes me think of how much alcohol is consumed on college campuses making others feel forced
or cool if they do so. The National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism determined that there
are presently 10.8 million American underage drinkers. Many argue that 18 year olds are too

Sex, Gender, Racial Identity, And Stereotyping And...
Art has an interesting way of reinforcing itself through popular culture in western society. A culture
that has a population mixed with many different racial identities, yet cultivates its pop culture
through a black and white preface. The U.S is known to categorize diverse races into one;
highlighting the inferiority other races face while living within our culture. Women have been
idealized and compounded into western society as sex symbols and housewives. Women from other
races non white or Black are not only seen the same way, but are also included in the melting pot of
diluted racial identities formatted from whitening groups. Racial identity hardly sways the
expectations in Women that society sees as normal; rather it highlights the racial discrimination we
reinforce in western culture that derives from improper stereotyping and labeling. Historically,
women are subject to unbound methods of reinforcing genderroles. Today, their sexuality is
exploited so frequently in popular culture, that they have become a sex object, rather than a
housewife. Tom Fords image of a naked female ironing men s pants grasps the concept of both
stereotypes, appealing to the young adults in the United States. Initially, this ad promotes the
ideology of mans superiority over women. Understanding how gender is really portrayed in western

transgenders, however he just thought that it would be what is best for that community. As Bellis
said in the interview, I am not against homosexuals [or anyone in the LGBT community] in the
military. They have served for years honorably, and will continue to serve honorably regardless of
politics. Yet, he brings about several distinguished points about potential issues in the standards of
the military for transgenders. As most people know, the military has a strict discipline policy for
every soldier, regardless of race, gender, or orientation. Part of this discipline policy are both
dress code and physical fitness standards. This means that every soldier must be able to pass a
physical fitness test, and must follow ordinance with the uniform policy. This becomes problematic
with transgenders when trying to decide which physical fitness standards they should be judged
on, or which dress code they can follow. Like what Bellis said in the interview:

from the Born in Slavery: Slave Narratives from the Federal Writers Project, 1936 1938, the
theme that is carried through both documents is that nobody can be enslaved if they can learn.
Nobody can be enslaved if they can become educated. Being illiterate and not able to read or write
hinders people in such a way that they are isolated from communication and information. Many
slaveholders, including Frederick Douglass , would keep slaves from learning how to read or write
by threatening them and punishing them with harsh whippings. However, as Frederick Douglass

Illusions of Success For years now, many students have thought How do I grow up too be
successful? but the truth here is that the people asking this, don t know what success really means
to them. Accomplishment can be defined in a variety of ways, such as the amount of money a
person makes, how happy an individual is by themselves, or even achieving in the simple things in
life. You can, however, gain the characteristics needed to be successful in the future, for example,
patience, determination, and a straight mindset. Accidental effects can also come into play, for
instance dumb luck that can happen to anybody and the wealth gap between the person or the
school they attend. These are just three of the most important traits a scholar must have in order to
get somewhere in their future of education and in life down the path they may take.

Aditive Approach
The United States is full of different ethnicities and races with different cultures and are accustomed
to a variety of different behaviors and ways of learning. It is essential that the curriculum within the
Nation s schools, colleges, and universities are reflected to the ethnic, cultural, and racial diversity
within the United States. Schools, colleges and universities are using various approaches to inspire
ethnic content into the curriculum, including the contributions, additive, transformation, and social
action approaches. To respond adequately to the ethnic realities with the nationand the world, the
curriculum should be transformed and should help students to develop decision making and social
action skills. According to the book... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Major goals of instruction in this approach are to educate students for social criticism and social
change and to teach them decision making skills. For example, promoting human rights and peace
at schools and working to ensure that the schools building and activities do not harm the
environment. To empower students and help them obtain political efficacy, the school must help
them become reflective social critics and skilled participants in social change (Banks 1989). The
traditional goal of school has been to socialize students so they would accept unquestioningly the
existing ideologies, institutions, and practices within society and the nation state.
I believe that each approach stated by James Banks is important in its own way and do not over
power one another. The four approaches to the integration of ethnic content into the curriculum I
described above are often mixed and blended in actual teaching situations. An important goal that all
of these approaches share are teaching about racial, cultural, and ethnic diversity which should be to
empower students with knowledge, skills, and attitudes they need to participate in civil action that
will help transform our world and enhance the possibility for human

Creating A Business Entity With Her Friend Dan Nemec From...
Amy Bold is thinking about creating a business entity with her friend Dan Nemec from the Czech

business would provide services in both the United States and the Czech Republic. Amy was

Additionally, Form 8865 will have to be filed any time that Amy (or other U.S. person) acquires,
disposes or changes at least a 10% interest in the foreign partnership. Amy, a U.S. citizen, will be
subject to taxation in both the Czech Republic and the United States. She has to report her share
of the foreign partnership income, gains, losses, deductions, and credits on her U.S. tax return.
However, Amy can claim a foreign tax credit and report her distributive share of foreign taxes
paid or accrued. Her status as a resident of the U.S. will not be affected by her involvement in the
foreign partnership, and she will not be subject to any withholdings. Because the partnership will

the Czech Republic and he will also be subject to withholdings in the United States. Dan s

Bad Girls Club is a reality show in which seven women share a house for approximately three
months. When new girls enter the house, some girls would be themselves, but will have a bad

because the girls are generally strong and independent young women. The girls feels the need to

I was around seven when my father took me to his work office and I met his boss, Mr. Reed. I prefer
to call him Mr. Boss though. It fit him not only because he was the boss, but because he always
had a scowl on his face. My father had been trying to get on the friendly side of his boss for years,
but I guess he was naturally grumpy because few things could turn his frown upside down. His
wife died two years from a car accident and his only joy in life was his daughter, Lauren. She did

Tales of Despereaux
SOME SPOILERS DOES NOT RUIN WHOLE BOOK ENDING BUT MAY RUIN SOME PARTS.

Racial Inequality And Gender Inequality
In today s world discrimination is a racial inequality when it come to different races in the
United states. Discrimination has been around for years and have created a social inequality ,
economic crises and have lowered individuals into a group known as the racial minorities .Racial
minorities can be classified as older people , women , immigrants and young men and women.
Women from the early 1600 s to today s women have been discriminated against for years. Women
have never had the same respect as men so, they had to earn respect by stepping up for their rights.
Women have made it clear in modern society, that we have the ability to perform equal skills and
become success in virtually every endeavor engaged in by men including, employment, athletes,
academics and politics.Yet we have discriminationon the basis of racial inequality which has a long
history in United States
.Inequalities in the Unites States have singled out elderly people by not helping the older
people be apart of today s society meaning, we do not hire older people after a certain age because
we think they are not capable of working. We look at elderly as people to be retired, stay home,
and very sickly. Roscigno studies show some older workers are terminated just before their
pensions are set to kick in or increase. This type of firing profoundly affects older workers job
security, long term financial well being and access to health care. Social inequalities have created

How Is Hamlet Aristotelian Tragic Hero
Shakespeare s play, Hamlet, centers around Hamlet s contemplation of killing his uncle in order to
avenge his father s death. Hamlet s decisions and values come into play in determining his fate.
However, Hamlet s intended action to avenge his father s death, rather his motivation, falls short
due to his moral dilemma. Overall, Hamlets actions and values work together to create a connection
between Hamlet s state of mind and the condition of Denmark as well as, epitomize him as an
Aristotelian tragic hero. At the same time, his motivation is at odds with his need to bring justified
order to the kingdom.
Shakespeare s Hamlet fits the definition the Aristotelian tragic hero. This archetype is shown
through Hamlet s values and actions. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Hamlet believes that he will not be doing his father justice if he kills Claudius after he is
forgiven of his sins. He goes on to say, To take him in the purging of his soul / When he is fit and
seasoned for his passage?... / Up, sword, and know thou a more horrid hent (1659 3.3). Not taking
advantage of the opportunity, Hamlet once again falls short in fulfilling his vow to his father.
Although, Hamlet is given a perfect opportunity to kill Claudius, his tendency to constantly reflect
on the situation and whether he should kill Claudius or not is often delayed. Hamlet s constant
contemplation becomes his major flaw, delaying him from killing Claudius. This flaw is yet
another aspect of Aristotle s definition of a tragic hero. Another element of the Aristotelian tragic
hero is the reversal of fate, rather a change for the worse. Hamlet s continuous delay in killing
Claudius determines an alternative course for his fate. He has the potential to claim the throne,
restore order in the kingdom, and keep his family in power of the nation. However, these outcomes
are only possible if Hamlet can execute his plan with swiftness. Thus, Hamlet reverses his fate by
procrastinating in avenging his father s death. Instead, Hamlet spends most of the play in devising a
plan that allows him to take the throne without having to face punishment for killing Claudius.
While Claudius is swift in plotting and carrying out his actions against Hamlet, Hamlet often puts
off his duty to

The Spectrophotometer Determinationof Iron in Teff
Introduction The research question is: the spectrophotometer determination of iron in teff and a
measure of the bio availability to suggest ways in which bio availability or absorption is increased
and consequently anemia decreased.
Iron is one of the most important elements that is needed by different living organisms. One of its
functions is to control cell growth and aid in differentiation of cells. However, one of its most
important responsibilities is found in hemoglobin. which is involved in allowing oxygen transport
in portions of the blood. Iron is available in two oxidation states: Fe2+ and Fe3+. The one that is
readily absorbed in the human body is Fe2+. Thus in this extended essay, I will focus on the
concentration of Fe2+ in four cereals teff, wheat, maize and sorghum. Limited amounts of
absorption of Fe2+ in the human body causes iron deficiency anemia. Iron deficiency anemia is
when a person has a red blood cell count that is less than normal or when there are few
hemoglobin molecules in each red blood cell. Consequences and effect of this to humans could
be fatigue, headaches, palpitations, lethargy and etc. One of the causes of iron deficiency anemia
is the bio availability of many grains and legumes. The less bio available or in other words the
less absorbed the nutrients of the cereals we eat are, the prospect of iron deficiency anemia
occurring becomes higher. I will show this need of Iron in the blood by first measuring the iron
contents of the four

Term Limits For Congressmen
Term limits should be made for Congressmen because there have been instances where
Senators and Representatives have served 20, 30, 40 and even 50 years in Congress, these
Congressmen seem to become detached from those they represent and hold too much power and
influence in Congress. This undermines the intended purpose of the legislative branch.
Allowing these career politicians to remain their whole lives in Congress give them too much
influence and they might have shared the same ideas as the people they represented when they first

(VERHULST, 2013). It is critical that decisions are made carefully and critically thought through
because the decisions to let go an employee can have a ripple effect on the entire company. The
decision I made in this assignment was impacted by several areas including educational level,
employee evaluations, contributions to the company and tenure.
Regarding the layoffs at the company, my first choice regarding an employee the company would
considering letting go would be Gabriella Santana. Reviewing Gabriella s work history with the
company has revealed she has had multiple lawsuits against the company and won. Though this
may seem intimidating and create the fear she may sue again you cannot allow that to interfere

5 years compared to Donavan and Matthew. So, just alone she has less time invested in the
company. Additionally, her evaluations have only been rated good to above average. Further
review did not determine that she has contributed anything significant to the company.
Mallorie Shields is my second choice to let go. The weighing factor would be her tenure seeing that
she has been with the company the lease amount of time. An additional review determined that she

The Revenge Tragedy Of Hamlet Essay
Issara Butt
Professor Abbott
English 102
November 30, 2016
The Revenge Tragedy of Hamlet Revenge tragedies share some common characteristics of the
play Hamlet which classify them in the group of many great stories such as The Spanish
Tragedy, and King Lear. A vengeful ghost, a play within a play, and the main character who
seeks revenge on an opponent and murdered (KAY). At some point in life many of us feel the
need to seek revenge and never actually act upon it, but what if we did? What would be the
consequences and what would life be like afterwards. The thoughts we have of this makes the
stories of revenge tragedies exciting and intriguing. They are our thoughts written on paper and into
a story making as if what we think is actually happening. In the time of Shakespearean writing,
things would have gone slightly different. The play Hamlet, is a prime example of a revenge
tragedy in its refined state of written speech. Hamlet is a revenge tragedy for many reasons, not
only that but it is the most written, re enacted, and read play of all time (TUMIEL). The multiple
plots of revenge, murders, and ghost appearances makes Hamlet the leading play of revenge
tragedies and most studied currently in academic curriculums. It is believed to be that William
Shakespeare s Hamlet was based off of Thomas Kyd s story, Ur Hamlet (MABILLARD). Although
Ur Hamlet was a rough and uncut version of a revenge tragedy and needed further developing, but

The Effect Of Acid Concentration On Plant Plants And...
Introduction
Gibberellic Acid is a naturally occurring plant growth hormone that belongs to the gibberellin
group (Gupta and Chakrabarty, 2013). Gibberellins are responsible for stem growth in plants and
regulate the synthesis of proteins. Gibberellic acid is a by product of the Gibberella Fujikuroi
fungi which has the effect of causing developing rice plants stems to grow in such an expeditious
manner that the plant collapses (John M. Riley, 1987).
The experiment s variables include the independent variable, which is the concentration of
gibberellic acid that is used to soak the seeds, and the time period of germination, as well as the
dependant variable, which is the number of seeds that germinate. The control used to compare seed
germination and in this situation is the sample with a gibberellic acid concentration of 0 ppm.
Constants in the experiment include factors affecting seed germination such as constant
temperatures where each sample receives the same temperature and in the case of variation the
same amount of variation, quantity of moisture where the same amount of gibberellic acid is added
to each bag corresponding to the concentration, the samples should also receive the same conditions
of light, have the same sowing density, and number of seeds per square centimetre.
The aim of this practical is to investigate the effects of gibberellic acid on the germination rates of
two plant species. It was hypothesised from the above information that higher

Mr. Pirzada s Cultural Identity

During the creation process of the jack o lantern, news concerning Dacca, Mr. Pirzada s
hometown and the dwelling of his family, appears on the television. Slipping from his hand, the
knife makes a gash, ruining the otherwise perfect pumpkin. When Mr. Pirzada carves the jack o

not, by creating a jack o lantern, a quintessential part of American Halloween. When he is
reminded of his true identity, of Dacca and of Bangladesh, his otherwise perfect pumpkin becomes

which affects the way in which they act and the feelings that they feel. For Lillia, a perfect jack o

The Destructive Nature of Industrialization Depicted in...
In Herman Melville s short stories, The Paradise of Bachelors and The Tartarus of Maids, he
juxtaposes the lives of social classes to illustrate the destructive nature of industrialization. Melville
demonstrates the separation of classes by his usage of allusions and metaphors. Segregation is a
main concern of Melville s and, the contrast amid the two stories is a representation of the disparity
between classes present at that time.
While it may seem that the bachelors live the ideal life with all of their luxuries, the bachelors
hedonistic lifestyle is unsatisfied with their lack of creation. If they are not contributing to society
then they must be taking away from society. We learn that their lives are only regurgitations of...

In reality, the motivation for acquiring control was greed. Melville alludes to the templars of the
crusades to exemplify the self righteous characteristics of the upper class. The thing called pain, the
bugbear styled trouble those two legends seemed preposterous to their bachelor imaginations
(Melville 673). The bachelors live in a world above pain. Without pain one cannot relate to others
and, as a result the bachelors cannot understand their unfortunate counterparts, the maids. Since the
bachelors are not able to relate to anyone other than themselves, they are incapable of partaking in
any significant relationships. As a result the bachelors throw their extravagantly superficial parties
in which they tell impersonal stories and gorge on fine food. Melville sarcastically states their
care for one another when the narrator says, The nine bachelors seemed to have the most tender
concern for each other s health. All the time, in flowing wine, they most earnestly expressed their
sincerest wishes for the entire well being and lasting hygiene of the gentlemen on the right and on
the left (Melville 672). Melville is saying that the class that rules society lives an unfulfilling life.
The business owners do not care or respect their own people enough to take their needs into
consideration. The upper class cannot be content because they have not treated the working class

The Negative Images Of Nursing
From Greys Anatomy s, Dr.McDreamy stealing the spot light in every surgery to Meet the
Parents, Ben Stiller being a male nurse, there are so many negative remarks coming from movies
and shows. In many shows it displays a down side to nurses, such as making bad remarks about
male nurses, giving the audience the belief that nurses are a back ground prop behind the heroic
Physician, and lastly how medical procedures are done. I can t help but laugh and scream at the
TV, when I see someone performing CPR with spaghetti arms. In the article The Negative Images
of Nursing ... by Jacquelyn Bishop. She discusses all of these topics from comparing the televised
aspect of nursing to the real life thing.
In Meet the Parents starring Ben Stiller as a male nurse. In one scene Ben walks into the kitchen
and is meeting the family of his girlfriend, Pam. Pam introduces her sister s fiancГ©, who is a
M.D, and his father who is a Plastic Surgeon. When Ben tells them he is in nursing, they start
laughing and say No, really what do you do? They continue to ask him why he didn t go for
being a doctor instead of staying a nurse. He replies, Nursing was just a better fit for me. In many
movies, the male nurse is always made fun of simply because, nursing is for women and being a
Doctor is for men. Many men fight the stereotype, of being known as a gay male nurse. Many
have believed that men should take the one extra step and become a Doctor, simply because it is
manlier. Statistics have

Generational Gaps
Organizational behavior is the study of understanding individual behavior and group dynamics in
an organization (Nelson, 2013). With such a diverse workforce including multiple generations and
different ethnic groups, a one size fits all management approach is improbable to achieve success
in today s workplace. Our text relates: First, managers need to know how to motivate diverse work
groups. Second, managers need to know how to communicate with employees who have different
values and language skills (Nelson, 2013, p.47). Baby Boomers are motivated by a strong work
value system; the concept of working long hours, sacrificing family time (mostly fathers), and
climbing the corporate ladder defines them. Often described as workaholics, boomers work long
hours to establish self worth, identity and fulfillment (Allen, 2013). A live to work mentality is
their motto (Nelson, 2013). Generation Y or Millennials seek value through contribution, and
teamwork. Often driving by autonomy, this generation understands the 24/7 work environment, so
they are resistant to rigid traditional office hours and time behind a desk. Millennials are focused
on making meaning, not just making money (Asghar, 2014). A work to live mentality is their motto
(Nelson, 2013). In the video presentation, five similarities of Boomers and Millennials are
presented: odyssey, flexibility, meaning/purpose/challenge, diversity, and altruism (HBR IdeaCast,
2009). New experiences and

Self-Destruction In The Gargoyle And Walk To Morning
Society often fail to understand and see the mental pain that individuals carry throughout their
lives. Some people bear its burden, while others suffer greatly because of it, to the point of
choosing self destruction. The narrators from The Gargoyle (Davidson) and Walk to Morning
(Boyden) both experience this pain that ultimately sets them on a course to a deep pit. They
survive their near deaths and later encounter unique life changing people. As a result, they
become better individuals. In the Gargoyle , the narrator lacks a nurturing childhood and is
blamed by the grandmother for causing his mother s death: Her bitterness towards me towards
me, as the cause of her daughter s death, was obvious (Davidson, p.9). He is later transferred to
live with his drug dealing uncle and aunt who only takes him because of promised government
cheques. Eventually he becomes an addicted drug user. Similarly, in his speech Walk to Morning
, Joseph Boyden described how his pain from depression and drunkenness, coupled with the break
up from a girl, set him off to end his own life. All I knew was that I d just become too scared to live

on the influence of alcohol. His car explodes after a crash, burning his body beyond recognition.

p.3). He, however, pulls through and lives. Boyden also met with a severe accident that nearly
ended his life. His depression and drunkenness made him choose to end it all by stepping in front
of a fast moving car. They found me lodged under the car of an older woman who was near
hysteria (Boyden). He was clinically dead as his heart actually stopped. And yet, for some reason

Canadian Explorers
The explorers that partook in the great challenge of discovering what is now Canada, is a
fascinating and appealing topic for Canadian Historians. This essay will examine the lives of
Jacques Cartier, Henry Hudson, William Stuart, George Vancouver, and Sir Horatio Thomas
Austin, who were all Canadian explorers. The themes that are compared for each individual are
areas of discovery, First Nation contact, and life longevity and cause of death. Within the
discussion, biographies of each explorers will be found in the Dictionary of Canadian Biography

Although, Hudson s whereabouts before 1607 are unknown, historians can still analysis the life
events during the known time of Hudson existence. Between 1607 and the year Hudson died, 1611,
Bumsted identifies three major event. The first of these events occurred in 1608 when Quebec
gained the resident buildings by Samuel de Champlin. Champlin established a new trading post on
the St. Lawrence and during the first year of building the new habitations, it went under attack.
Fortunately, the post lasted and in the progress, Champlin associated with the First Nations;
however, this led the French into violence against the Iroquois. During the same year, the outline of
the arrangement to colonize New France started. Second, in Newfoundland, the first English
incomers settled in Newfoundland in 1610. The arrival of the Europeans impacted the First Nations
people greatly. The impact that the diseases, such as measles, smallpox, typus, and typiod, altered
the lives of the First Nations people; Before the Europeans brought these disease to the continent of
what is now Canada, the First Nations people were not immune to them and it caused tremendous
damage to their communities. And finally, Frobisher s voyage to the Northwest Passage inspired
the great explorer, Henry Hudson. Within Bumsted, it mentions that Hudson was hired to explore
the passage to Asia and in the progress he ended entering the Hudson Bay. Bumsted also mentions
that the exploration that Hudson sailed was exceptional and it his search was a best known voyage
In comparison to Bumsted, Henry Hudson s biography references that he missed no prospect of
landmarks on Quebec and the Diggs Island into the Hudson Bay itself. The biography mentions that
Hudson succeeded in setting the further north record on his voyage, but the search for the
Northeast Passage was not successful. Furthermore, when studying the biography of Henry

Essay Carl Jung and The Great Gatsby
Carl Jung and The Great Gatsby
The Great Gatsby, F. Scott Fitzgerald s classic story about the shallow aristocracy of the 1920 s
American society, is the topic of much interpretation. This paper presents the proposition that the
Roaring Twenties were years dominated by an SP (part of CarlJung s archetypal psychology that
will later be explained in more depth) society and the characters in The Great Gatsby reflect and
were deeply affected by this fact. Daisy will be analyzed herein, as well as the effect that an SP
society had on her actions and development.

What is SP ? In Jungian terms it is basically the group of sensory people who are free with their
time, S and P being two of four letters that fully make up a persons temperament. According to
Jung, when the two characteristics are combined, the affected person is naturally playful and
careless. They live in the moment and have no time for rules and regulations. They are the
majority of the worlds entertainers, athletes, soldiers, etc. Where there is excitement, there are
SP s. Status and appearance are often important to SP s, yet not so much what is thought of
them by society. When I say that the 20 s were an SP era, I mean just that: the people were of
loose ethics and wanted to be free of responsibility. Of course this does not encompass everyone,
but it is the stereotype of the times, just as not all people were hippies in the 1960 s, the 60 s are
stereotypically the hippie era. Don t be afraid #8230;Taste everything #8230;Sometimes I think
we only half live over here. The Italians live all the way. 2 Thus a young Ernest Hemingway
expressed his creed after returning from Italy and his Red Cross experience during World War I.
Hemingway is a perfect example of an SP, in how he lived his life, and he fits perfectly into the
times in which he wrote.

The physician may order a mammogram or ultra sound. Women are recommended to have
yearly mammograms after the age 40, but earlier if breast cancer runs in the family (National
Cancer Institute). A mammogram detects lumps in the breast and is an x ray picture of tissues
inside a person s breast. It may detect a lump before it is even felt by someone. A ultrasound also
is a test that can show details of the breast lump and its sound waves creates pictures showing if
the lump is solid, filled with fluid or a little of both. When it shows a sign of a more solid lump
it is greater risk of cancer (National Cancer Institute). Once a breast lump is detected and shows
signs of being cancerous the lump is then removed or biopsied. Biopsy is a tissue removal which
is looking for cancerous cells. There are several different types of biopsies, but is the true way to
tell if these cells in the breast are cancerous. These different types of biopsies are fine needle
aspiration, core biopsy, skin biopsy or surgical biopsy. After the tissue is removed then they can
send it to the lab to determine if a person has cancer or not (National Cancer Institute). The lump
will then be considered either benign or malignant. Benign is good meaning no cancer present, but
malignant means that there is cancer present in the tumor. After determining that a person has
breast cancer it must then be staged.

Whale Rider Culture
Good Morning year 8, today I am going to be talking to you about Maori culture and what I have
done in the film whale rider to try and show the culture using different film techniques. In scene
one it starts of as we have the little girl walking along the road chanting a traditional Maori chant
and doing the actions that represent the song. I have used an eye level shot as it clearly shows
her whole upper body and the actions can be clearly seen. To get to the next clip I use a cut as it
is the same scene but from a different angle. The angle has the girl positioned far away but still
In focus with the background blurred suggesting that I want you to focus on the girl. The next
scene you see a Maori figure from a story and you have it filmed at an low angled shot, this
emphasis the figure and as it is painted a darker colour it stand out against the light background. As
it zooms out on the shed you see some designs that are Maori culture patterns that represent the

Porphyria s Lover
Within the five poems we have studied, La Belle Dame Sans Merci , Lady of Shalott , My last
duchess , Porphyria s lover and Marianna . Women are portrayed as weak characters with no voice.
All of these poems are seen through the eyes of men, who accuse them of being self centred and
lacking in morals. However, these judgements can be placed upon the men themselves. The social
/historical position of women during the nineteenth century can be identified within the poems.
Browning s dramatic monologues in particular show women s lack of voice and dependency on
men during the eighteen hundreds. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Keats describes her, as a faerys child and later says in language strange she said I love thee true this
implies her mythical quality which mystifies and captures the knight .
The poem represents three characters the narrator, the knight and La belle dame. The story is told
by the knight, but begins with opening questions from the narrator, o what can ail thee knight at
arms, Alone and palely loitering? Keats portrays La belle dame in a negative light, as a character
who distrusts and mistreats the knight. Perhaps this expresses keats feelings towards women,
however he creates separate characters with different personalities. Although La belle dame is
described as a beautiful mythical creature she uses the knight and leaves him to die. In the last
three stanzas of the poem the knight describes the sight of dead men on the cold hill side who
have also been enthralled by the faery s child . Her kind words and beauty tricked the knight along
with the other men. The title La Belle Dame Sans Merci the beautiful women without mercy
highlights this.
The knight in some ways can be seen as being portrayed negatively. Keats portrays men as being
superficial human beings who fall for the beauty of woman. The knight is fooled by the faery s
child exterior failing to see her deceitful character. Women are

`` Blue Moon Of Kentucky ``
From an American perspective, the color blue symbolizes and represents a multitude of social
and iconic aspects identified as uniquely Kentuckian. The Bluegrass State stands as one of the
most recognizable state monikers across the country, Blue Moon of Kentucky is a famous waltz
recorded by both Bluegrass musical creator Bill Monroe (as well as the king of rock Elvis
Presley), and chants of Go Big Blue!! echo across the state from those that support the University of
Kentuckys athletic programs. Lost to represent Kentucky citizens in this twentieth century
movement toward a more popular iconography are the sacrificial contributions for the Union cause
made by ordinary Kentuckians during the Civil War. As events unfolded in the 1860s domestic
crisis between the Blue and Gray, Kentucky s Appalachian residents provided a bastion of physical
and strategic support for those that marched and fought in the uniform of the darker hue. In 1897,
future President Theodore Roosevelt singled out Kentucky s Appalachian citizens impact on the
war proclaiming when the full history of the war is written we shall realize more than we do our
debt to the loyal people of the South...there (was) a larger proportion of descendants of
revolutionary soldiery in Kentucky than any other state... (who could) overflow from their
mountains and re enforce the nation.

legalizing Marijuana is the hot topic. Others have argued for legalization of other victimless crimes,
such as prostitution and assisted suicides. Some of the arguments that have been made concerning
victimless crimes are that the criminal justicesystem is already backed up and who has moral
authority to criminalize activities that two consenting adults agree to make. These crimes are
considered illegal because government agencies have declared them illegal. Prostitution has been

  • 3. Examples Of God In Night By Elie Wiesel Tayson Neely Ms. Scannell English 2 10/2/17 God is a deity that in Elie wiesel s night, Elie Wiesel worshipped and in the novel those who worshipped him stopped believing or just generally didn t believe. Before the holocaust and the ghettos all started in the beginning of the novel all of the Jews had strong a faithful religion with their God. Elie in the beginning had a very strong faithful religion. He studied the Jewish Oral Law and he also studied Kabbalah. He started to have belief problems with his religion when they were moved from the ghettos to their first camp Buna. When he arrived there and was there after awhile when he saw some of things that were happening he started questioning why God would let what was happening happen. Later on in the novel two Jewish holidays pass Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. Rosh Hashanah is the celebration of a new year and Yom Kippur is the Day of Atonement. During these two holidays all of the Jews except Elie celebrated these holidays. While the rest of Jews were celebrating Elie was questioning now if God even existed and if so whys he still allowing all of these deaths and poor treatment of the Jewish people happen. Then at the end of the novel Elie didn t believe in him anymore. All he could wonder was why would any God allowed so many deaths and cruel treatments to happen. The view Adolf Hitler had on the Jewish peoples was that everything was their faults and he hated them. Before Hitler became a Dictator he was a soldier just like everyone else in World War 1 and when the German Empire lost he was in disbelief and just couldn t believe it. Many nationalist and conservatives believed that Germany had not lost the war on the battlefield but due to betrayal from within, by a stab in the back . Socialists, communists and particularly Jews were blamed, even though more than 100,000 German and Austrian Jews had served in the war and 12,000 had been killed. Hitler then joined NSDAP where he started to gain his power by becoming their strongman due too being able to inspire people with his speeches. In his speeches he claimed Jews were not only responsible for the unfair German defeat but were also blocking Germany s recovery. This kind of shows what he thought of ... • 4. Literary Criticism Of Deuteronomy The book of Deuteronomy is regarded as the fixed book for Old Testament study. Deuteronomy was the book of the law which was found in the temple in the time of King Josiah. Its theology and ideas were fixed to be used in the seventh century BC. Deuteronomy could also be used as to date other Old Testamentbooks. In the study of literary and source critic, Deuteronomy was obscured to understand. In this form critic questions to the book. What is the social setting of life Sitz im Leben ? What kind of book is it to contain diverse elements like historical surveys, moral exhortation, ceremonial laws, curses, poems and descriptions of solemn rituals? (pg. 40). Many scholars answered Deuteronomy as the written for against vassal treaty. And they questioned about the relations between God and Israelites. If it is true we need to suggest which context in ancient Israel was presented as the same relationship between the ruler and the clients, God and Israel. In addition, the author mentions that as Deuteronomy is... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Literary analysis of the Old Testament is searching the characters and the movement of the text. • 5. The Brahmin’s Son Essay example Analysis: The Brahmin s Son Despite his solid spiritual upbringing among the Brahmins, Siddhartha still seeks the meaning of life, and he embarks on a quest to find enlightenment. Brahmins are members of the highest of the four interdependent groups, called castes, that make up Hindu society. Members of the Brahmin caste were originally priests with the primary duty of mediating with and praying to gods, and they were respected for their intellect and their knowledge of the Vedas, the sacred Hindu religious texts. In The Brahmin s Son, Siddhartha meditates on the syllable Om, which represents perfection and unity. Om suggests the holy power that animates everything within and around us. This power does not have form or substance, but it ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Ritual and formula govern Siddhartha s father s world. Life in this world revolves around sacrifices and offerings made at certain times and the performance of established duties that everyone, even Siddhartha s father, must take part in. The father s world, then, is fixed in the moment and regulated according to certain accepted guidelines. Nothing will change from one day to the next. Siddhartha s father s request at the end of this chapter that Siddhartha return home to teach his father if he is successful is an admission that Siddhartha is right, that the gods are only objects of veneration and not living companions. The people in this world suffer from a way of life that was forced on them, and their strict rituals and schedules stand between them and the reality they seek. He lost his Self a thousand times and for days on end he dwelt in non being. But although the paths took him away from Self, in the end they always led back to it. (See Important Quotations Explained) Summary: With the Samanas Siddhartha and Govinda begin wandering with the Samanas. They quickly adopt the ways of their new teachers, dressing in rags and taking only the barest sustenance necessary to preserve life. Soon, Siddhartha and Govinda adopt the starved and beaten appearance shared by the other Samanas. The philosophy behind the Samanas way of life is the belief that true enlightenment comes when ... • 6. Agenda Setting Theroy Agenda setting theory Introduction: There is no question that communication is an important element in our life. We can learn how to communicate either by our experiences which probably will take a longtime to learn or by studying the experiences and theories of others. In Communication theory we have learned many theories that are very important to understanding human Communication. Communication is not more important nowadays than before because it s always been an important aspect of human existence. These days communication style has been developed and has changed dramatically due to the media and the technology. Communications between cultures have never been better than today. A consequence of the development of the media technology is that media now plays a major influence on societies and in some countries the media is considered the fourth branch of government. In my discussion, I have selected agenda setting theory, which is explained by Donald Shaw, Maxwell McCombs, and their colleagues. I chose this theory because of its significance and because it has more explanation of what can be explained beyond the TV shows and reports. Media and freedom of speech is an important thing in America, however I think there is a real communication problem in the way media portrays the Arab World to the American people. There is a misperception in America about the Arab world and this problem is a result of the way that the media portrays events and the way that they pick ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 7. H2ocl Molecules Lab Report Occurring first in the synthesis process, an electrophilic chlorine atom forms a coordinate covalent bond with the nitrogen atom s two unbonded election. This occurs as chlorine is a group seven element and, therefore requires one electron to achieve the desired full valence electron shell. However, in this circumstance the H2OCl moleculehas an overall positive charge allowing the chlorine to accept both electron to form a full outer shell. Another possible cause for the nitrogen s affiliation with the positive water molecule is its negative charge. With two unbonded electron the nitrogen has a large negative charge creating strong intermolecular force of attraction between the nitrogen and chlorine. The formation of this bond then leaves the nitrogen positively charged. As the nitrogen atom is not in its most stable state without a unbonded pair of electrons, the intramolecular forces surrounding the nitrogen drive most of the changes to the imipramine molecule through the synthesis. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... As the water molecule moves closer to the nitrogen it s negative charge forces the electrons in chlorine s bond closer to the chlorine molecule. During this process both the water and chlorine atom are bonded with the nitrogen resulting in the formation of a temporary dipole. As nitrogen can only have four bonds, the bonded chlorine atom with a lower electrostatic attraction to nitrogen than water is forced to dissociate. Originally the nitrogen atoms unbonded pair of electrons are removed from the imipramine molecule during this process as the electrons are held closer to the chlorine atom due to its electronegativity of 3.16 slightly higher than nitrogen s value of 3.04 (LibreTexts, ... • 8. Book Review on the French Revolution and the People Essay For my report I read The French Revolution and the People by David Andress to learn what were the reasons causing the French Revolutionary War. The main thesis of the book is the known problems and reactions which affected the events and outcomes of the revolution in every stage, now everyone in France was affected by the revolution. I agree with the author s thesis on many different levels. Since the multiple troubles the people had at that time did not originate just then but decades before. As well with constant economic pressure of all the upper classes upon them only worsened the situation. Since all the troubles and problems of the poor were never looked after, now everyone in France gets a taste of the revolution. First,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The churches collect tithes and since the right to collect tithes was owned by both the lay landowners and seigneurs (similar to mayors) the tithes were mostly mandatory. In some cases the clerics and the religious instructions to be both landowners and seigneurs, in turn being able to claim rents and feudal dues from large numbers of peasants. Second, how seigneurialism did not get rid of feudalism but only changed it for the seigneurs to get more power. Over time it shifted from feudalism to more of a financial relationship since the lords wanted more money and they couldn t tax serfs who didn t get paid. The seigneurs had many rights such over extensive land, an annual rent, a share of harvest; fee if land has changed hands or inherited would be paid by past serfs. They also had rights over the game in their land forbidding peasants from killing anything without privilege, as well as the right to ride over peasant s crops during the pursuit of the game. Also more rights are honorary pews in the front of the church and the weathercock on top of manor house. The seigneurs also had the right to dispense justice so many tens of thousands of seigneurial courts were apart of villages. Also, another problem that occurred during that time was a drought. Teenage depression is a serious mental health problem that causes teens to have the persistent feeling of sadness and lack of interest in activities. Depression changes the way teens think, feel, and behave. Some people may wonder why depression is even a concern, but depression itself causes two thirds of suicides (Department of Health). Most people don t know what causes depression, the most common causes of depression are biological chemistry, hormones, it can also be inherited; some people s depression stems from childhood trauma, or having negative thoughts that give you a negative mood. There are chemicals in the brain that if abnormal or impaired the function of nerve receptors and nerve systems change, leading to depression. Inheriting depression is not simple, no one simply inherits depression from their mother or father, each person inherits a unique combination of genes from their mother and father, and certain combinations can predispose them to a particular illness (Department of Health). Childhood trauma, such as sexual or physical abuse, domestic violence, neglect or parental loss, can have long lasting consequences, researchers are exploring the effects of early trauma on the stress response systems (Department of Health) that can later can lead to depression later in life. • 10. The Endangered Species Act President Nixon When signing the Endangered Species Act President Nixon said, Nothing is more priceless and more worthy of preservation than the rich array of animal life with which our country has been blessed. The Endangered Species Act was enforced in 1973 providing protection for species that are being threatened in their habitats. Making a point to save endangered animals, not only allows people to see the protected animals living in a free and serene environment, but it invokes a sense of happiness. An endangered species is a plant or an animal at risk of becoming extinct. Scientists have estimated that up to one third of species in the U.S. are at a high risk of extinction. In addition to donating millions of acres of land, this is essential to the recovery and survival of the endangered; the Act has shown a ninety percent recovery rate for species in the U.S. The main causes of endangerment include loss of habitat, excessive hunting, and pollution. Within the Endangered Species Act, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service helps watch over and investigate the health of different species. Then, local and national scientist collects data to determine if a species gets put on the Endangered Species list. The main factor to determine the endangerment of a species is if a large percentage of the species habitat has been destroyed. Next, note if the animal s population has been excessively decreasing, threatened by disease, or any terrorized by any predators. Also, record any man made ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

There has been much controversy over alcoholfor numerous years, the most recent argument is whether the legal drinking ageshould be twenty one or lowered to eighteen. Minimizing the legal drinking age from twenty one to eighteen would be a successful step in reshaping the binge drinking culturein this country, encouraging young adults to safely participate in the activity of drinking alcohol, and permitting those of legal age the chance to entirely and responsibly make adult decisions. Overall, Hamlets actions and values work together to create a connection between Hamlet s state of mind and the condition of Denmark as well as, epitomize him as an Aristotelian tragic hero. Hamlet s constant contemplation becomes his major flaw, delaying him from killing Claudius. This flaw is yet another aspect of Aristotle s definition of a tragic hero. Another element of the Aristotelian tragic hero is the reversal of fate, rather a change for the worse. Hamlet s continuous delay in killing Claudius determines an alternative course for his fate. He has the potential to claim the throne, restore order in the kingdom, and keep his family in power of the nation. However, these outcomes are only possible if Hamlet can execute his plan with swiftness. Thus, Hamlet reverses his fate by procrastinating in avenging his father s death. The Spectrophotometer Determinationof Iron in Teff Introduction The research question is: the spectrophotometer determination of iron in teff and a measure of the bio availability to suggest ways in which bio availability or absorption is increased and consequently anemia decreased. Iron is one of the most important elements that is needed by different living organisms. One of its functions is to control cell growth and aid in differentiation of cells. However, one of its most important responsibilities is found in hemoglobin. which is involved in allowing oxygen transport in portions of the blood. Iron is available in two oxidation states: Fe2+ and Fe3+. The one that is readily absorbed in the human body is Fe2+. Thus in this extended essay, I will focus on the concentration of Fe2+ in four cereals teff, wheat, maize and sorghum. Limited amounts of absorption of Fe2+ in the human body causes iron deficiency anemia. Iron deficiency anemia is when a person has a red blood cell count that is less than normal or when there are few hemoglobin molecules in each red blood cell. Consequences and effect of this to humans could be fatigue, headaches, palpitations, lethargy and etc. One of the causes of iron deficiency anemia is the bio availability of many grains and legumes. The less bio available or in other words the less absorbed the nutrients of the cereals we eat are, the prospect of iron deficiency anemia occurring becomes higher. This undermines the intended purpose of the legislative branch. Allowing these career politicians to remain their whole lives in Congress give them too much influence and they might have shared the same ideas as the people they represented when they first go into office, but they definitely might not have the same ideas and beliefs in 30 or 40 years as the newer generations of the people they represent, a lot can change in 30 to 40 years. A vengeful ghost, a play within a play, and the main character who seeks revenge on an opponent and murdered (KAY). At some point in life many of us feel the need to seek revenge and never actually act upon it, but what if we did? What would be the consequences and what would life be like afterwards. The thoughts we have of this makes the stories of revenge tragedies exciting and intriguing. They are our thoughts written on paper and into a story making as if what we think is actually happening. In the time of Shakespearean writing, things would have gone slightly different. The play Hamlet, is a prime example of a revenge tragedy in its refined state of written speech. Hamlet is a revenge tragedy for many reasons, not only that but it is the most written, re enacted, and read play of all time (TUMIEL). The multiple plots of revenge, murders, and ghost appearances makes Hamlet the leading play of revenge tragedies and most studied currently in academic curriculums. Introduction Gibberellic Acid is a naturally occurring plant growth hormone that belongs to the gibberellin group (Gupta and Chakrabarty, 2013). Gibberellins are responsible for stem growth in plants and regulate the synthesis of proteins. Gibberellic acid is a by product of the Gibberella Fujikuroi fungi which has the effect of causing developing rice plants stems to grow in such an expeditious manner that the plant collapses (John M. Riley, 1987). The experiment s variables include the independent variable, which is the concentration of gibberellic acid that is used to soak the seeds, and the time period of germination, as well as the dependant variable, which is the number of seeds that germinate. The control used to compare seed germination and in this situation is the sample with a gibberellic acid concentration of 0 ppm. Constants in the experiment include factors affecting seed germination such as constant temperatures where each sample receives the same temperature and in the case of variation the same amount of variation, quantity of moisture where the same amount of gibberellic acid is added to each bag corresponding to the concentration, the samples should also receive the same conditions of light, have the same sowing density, and number of seeds per square centimetre. The aim of this practical is to investigate the effects of gibberellic acid on the germination rates of two plant species. It was hypothesised from the above information that higher ... Without pain one cannot relate to others and, as a result the bachelors cannot understand their unfortunate counterparts, the maids.
