2. Analysis Of Roy Mottahedeh s The Mantle Of The Prophet Essay
Roy Mottahedeh is a Gruney Professor at Harvard University, where he teaches pre modern
social and intellectual history of the Middle East and is an expert on Iranian culture. Mottahedeh
started his higher level education journey at Harvard College at which he studied history, he then
received a bachelor s degree in Persian and Arabic at Cambridge University. While teaching at
Princeton University, Mottahedeh wrote his first book Loyalty and Leadership in an early Islamic
Society in 1980, followed by the McArthur reward that allowed him to release The Mantle of the
Prophet in 1985.
Mottahedeh writes a historical political story about the life of a Shi ite boy who grew up to
become a mullah. Mottehedeh refers to the boy as Ali Hashemi which is a fictional name for the
mullah himself. He mentions the various trends and events that occurred in the past half
millennium that built up to the revolution that took place in 1979. In doing so, he manages to
characterize the history and politics of Iran by telling the story of Ali Hashemi.
Mottahedeh attempts to focus on the importance of the education and how the travels of Ali and
many other Mullahs to the West helped create a new system of education in Iran. In addition, he
shows the style of Persian culture that revolutionary Iran was trying to abolish and at the same time,
provides a clear understanding to the reader about how Iranians felt about the various governments
throughout the 20th century. Furthermore, Mottahedeh

3. Fire In Zoroastrianism
A similar concept of light versus darkness and good versus evil is also present in other religions
of the region. In Hinduism, for instance, the festival of Diwali is a symbolic representation of the
victory of the light or good over the darkness or evil . The concept of light and fire stand in the
centre of this festival, in which people symbolically celebrate the victory of the lightover the
darkness by lighting diva , little oil lamp, inside homes and firecrackers outside homes. Thus, the
concept of fire , light or sun in Zoroastrianism, or in the religionof the ДЂzar people, neither
represent nor does it substitute God. Rather they symbolically demonstrate the direction of prayer
and remind believers of the divine guidance and the trap of the destructive spirit of AhrД«man....

Again, such beliefs have symbolic significance. It was to remind people that fire in itself is not
sacred, but the angelic spirit, or an extension of the divine authority that stands behind it, is sacred.
In other words, it is to remind people that fire itself is not the end goal, as the KaКїba is not the
end goal in itself. Rather the divine spirit that stands behind this symbolic object is important and
sacred. As shall be discussed further in this section, the ДЂzaras, the Azaras or the Hazaras of
Afghanistan still maintain glimpses of this symbolic signification, the latent thought that lay deep
behind the concept of fire, and has been repressed over a millennium period of time by the
dominance of Islamic beliefs and

4. Analysis Of John Hawthorne s White Whale
Nathaniel Hawthorne is a standout amongst the most productive symbolists in American writing,
and an investigation of his images is important to comprehension his books. As a rule, an image
is something used to remain for something else. In writing, an image is frequently a solid article
used to speak to a thought more theoretical and more extensive in degree and significance
regularly an ethical, religious, or philosophical idea or quality. Images can go from the clearest
substitution of one thing for another, to manifestations as monstrous, complex, and puzzling as
Melville s white whale in Moby Dick. A moral story in writing is a story where characters, articles,
and occasions have a shrouded importance and are utilized to present some widespread lesson.
Hawthorne has an immaculate climate for the images in The Scarlet Letteron the grounds that the
Puritans saw the world through moral story. For them, basic examples, similar to the meteor
streaking through the sky, got to be religious or good understandings for human occasions. Items,
for example, the framework, were formal images for such ideas as sin and contrition. While the
Puritans made an interpretation of such customs into good and severe activities, Hawthorne turns
their understandings around in The Scarlet Letter. The Puritan group sees Hester as a fallen lady,
Dimmesdale as a holy person, and would have seen the hidden Chillingworth as an exploited person
a spouse deceived. Rather, Hawthorne

Should violent sport be banned?
YES
There should be nothing violent about sporting, yet today violent sports has so dominated the
entertainment arena, that some people seems to live by it, and can t get enough of it.
These kinds of sports however, should be banned for several reasons. Violencebegets violence, and
once there are limited restrictions, generations after generations will be caught in a vicious never
ending cycle, that will see the homes becoming the scenes of many crimes, the seeds of which were
sown, during those years of watching the entertainment events. The blood seen on the screens

Excellence in any sport becomes an unrelenting quest to push the limits, to exceed and perform
better than the competitors and break the earlier records. The best performance is always the one
better than that of the previous record holder. Such quest for higher accomplishment is a reward in
itself for the true athletes. The thrill of victory, the agony of defeat, the human drama of athletic
competition.. proclaims a well known TV show for sports events.
Such thrill and agony and excitement is experienced not only by the athletes but even more so by
the fans. Recall the Red Sox Nation and its delight when their team won the world series after

All such enthusiasm, left unchecked may lead to violence on the streets. Recently most Police

6. Breaking Formal Norms
Societies have ways of encouraging and enforcing what they view as appropriate behavior while
discouraging and punishing what they consider to be inappropriate behavior; moreover, societies
also have shared ideas of what is right and desirable when it comes to social norms according to our
textbook, Introduction to Sociology(Schaefer 62). Writer Bradley Wright, from his article The
Prevalence of Social Norms, states that social norms are the core concepts of sociology, and it
refers to the behavioral expectations that a social group holds for its individuals. Ultimately, social
norms tell people what they are supposed to do and how to behave in any given situation within our
society. In contrast, breaking formal norms, such as laws, can... Show more content on

Theories in sociology provide people with different perspectives in which we view our social
environment. One the theories that we would have to agree with is the Social Self Theory which
was theorized by George Herbert Mead, a well known sociologist. The theory focuses on the way
in which the social self is developed. Meads theory of the social self is based on the perspective
that the self emerges from social interactions, such as observing and interacting with others,
responding to others opinions about oneself, and internalizing external opinions and internal
feelings about oneself ( George ). Mead asserts that the self is not there from birth, but rather is
developed over time from social experiences and activities throughout peoples lives. For example,
from Mead s theory, our group concluded that the reaction from the initial breach we received, can
be connected to the societal self theory. The students displayed a tough guy attitude during the
breach, in which our subjects developed these attitudes through social interactions. According to
Mead, there are three activities, language, play, and games, that develop the self. Our subjects
demonstrated the self language, during the breach. To illustrate, language develops self by allowing
individuals to respond to each other through symbols, gestures, words, sounds, and language also
conveys others attitudes and opinions toward a

7. Corruption In The Canterbury Tales
Geoffrey Chaucer, the first author that used English in a major literary work, is the author of The
Canterbury Tales. Often referred to as the Father of English poetry, Chaucer, is one of the well
known poets in the English language. The Prologue of The Canterbury Tales gives the readers a
description and insight into the character s life and looks. The narrator describes all twenty nine
pilgrims, that are going on the pilgrimage by how the travelers dresses and looks and how they act.
Chaucer wrote The Canterbury Talesto give readers his ideas of the medieval life and to share his
opinion on how corrupt the Catholic Church was in that period. Though Geoffrey Chaucers The
Prologue from The Canterbury Tales describes characters by using direct and indirect
characterization, Chaucer uses appearance versus reality to tell the readers how the different
religious pilgrims either breaks or follows their vows.
One of the vows that Geoffrey Chaucer shows the readers how the religious figures and how the
church was corrupt was the vow of poverty. An upholder of God cannot be attached to worldly or
material things and is to live modestly like the vow of poverty says. In line 180 the narrator
describes the Monk as taking the modern world s more spacious way, (Chaucer). In doing this, the
Monk owns greyhounds and horses and wears grey fur and gold pins (Chaucer, 193 200). The
narrator also describes the Monk as personable, but in reality, the Monk is not sympathetic. Another

Introduction Students of the class Introduction to Research Methods conducted two studies to
collect data on the perception of scientists. The purpose of the two studies conducted was to
examine the stereotypes of scientists of undergraduate Speech and Hearing Science majors, and
whether the use of media has an influence on these stereotypes. Study one was a descriptive study
that consisted of administering a Draw A Scientisttest. This was done in order to understand the
perceptions of scientists in a sample of Speech and Hearing Sciencemajors at a large research
university in the Midwest, and be able to compare the results to other literature. Study 2 was an
experimental study, conducted to analysis the effect of a media stimulus on the perceptions of
scientist. The goal of conducting two studies was to have the ability to compare the results of the
descriptive study with the experimental study in order to determine the effects of the media and
analyze certain stereotypic characteristics of a scientist. The Draw A Scientist Test was first
administered by David W. Chambers in 1983. He created the DAST in order to analyze the
stereotypes involved in people s perceptions of scientists. Seven specific attributes of a scientist
were included on the coding sheet of the DAST. These attributes included specific attributes of a
scientist: a laboratory coat, eyeglass, facial hair, symbols of research (scientific instruments and

Henry Rushbury s Custom House, London (Fig. 1) is a watercolour rendition of the structures and

packed with ships, some passing and others either docked or possibly re arranging goods (as
shown by the derricks in the middle right of the picture). The background depicts the Custom House

It is possible that this painting was created to be exhibited, as Rushbury was a member of both
the Royal Academy (since 1913) and the Royal Society of Painters in Water Colours (since

accepting of watercolour as a significant medium. Another possibility is that this painting and
others like it were made to be sold for interior decoration, as the scale and design suited such
purposes. Finally, seeing as Rushbury was a successful printmaker, it is possible that Custom
House was created as a sketch for a future etching. The painting, however, could be more than just a
sketch, as the intricate and accurate details of the architecture combined with the feeling of a
gloomy day creates the sense of a more complete

Anne Sexton s poetry was stark, unrestrained and personal, compared to the traditional. It
captivated her readers with its real, unique sense of style. The poems spoke of intimate, deep
experiences. Anne Sexton s poetry delves into mental illness and death by using imagery, diction
and free verse to convey isolation, depression and the search for identity.
In the poem Housewife, Anne Sexton utilizes the search for identity to delve into her own
personal feelings regarding her role as a wife and mother. She portrays this realization and search
for oneself by using many types of descriptive imagery and diction, lifelong search for identity
shaped her poetry (Crowe 1). The house is brought to life and becomes a human, It s another
kind of skin; it has a heart a mouth, a liver and bowel movements (2 3). The house is the women

life whenever you decide to get there. By using those specific words, Sexton goes against the
traditional poets. Sexton and Plath both have a deep love for death and it is a frequently
discussed topic and isn t new to either of them. The word death is also repeated due to Sexton s
obsession with the idea. Death is something she craved and needed more than water, they wrote
about loneliness and alienation, and they spoke plainly about contemplating suicide (Crowe 2).
By examining the words used and Sexton s tone, you can feel her envy towards her friend by
calling her a thief (15). In Sexton s eyes, Plath stole death from her and took the one thing she

12. Developing A Drug And Getting It On The Market Is...
The process of developing a drug and getting it on the market is extremely expensive. Studies
have shown that the cost can range from 161 million to over 2 billion dollars. The Tufts center
for drug development found that getting a drug from its initial state to pharmacy shelves cost
an astounding 2.5 billion dollars in 2014. This is significantly higher than the 800 million cost
associated with bringing new drugs to the market in 2003. These figures are so high in part
because they take into account the opportunity cost of investing money in drugs while it could
have been invested elsewhere. Another portion of the cost is also due to the failure of drugs.
The probability of a pioneer drug advancing past the clinical studies is around 8%. So in order to
be profitable, large companies have to invest their time and resources in more than one drug at a
time. For every drug they put on the market there are several that took up resources but ultimately
did not make it. In addition to the cost, the whole process can take from 10 to 15 years. In order to
get a drug approved the manufacturers have to demonstrate that it is safe and effective. First, a
manufacturer must submit an Investigational New Drug Application (IND). This shows the results
of tests done on animals, which are known as preclinical trials. It also explains how they would
conduct the trials on humans. If the FDA decides that it is reasonably safe to proceed, then the
manufacturer can move to the next, a

In order to be muscular the horse needs proper exercise. Backing and trotting are the main
exercises that the trainer should concentrate on. Backing builds up a horse s hind end, while
trotting creates even muscles on each side of the horse. Exercising helps the horse in many ways.
It doesn t only give it firm and sculpt muscles; it affects its overall health too.
Shampooing and conditioning the horse is extremely important. The horse should be beautiful
and spotless. Never put conditioner in the horse s mane if the horse is going to have its mane
braided or banded for a show because the bands will slip out. There are many different braiding
styles for the horse s mane, there is a hunter braid, a running braid, and a continental braid
(Raspberryridge.com). The horse s mane can even be banded. Horse s manes will differ from
horse to horse, based on the size of the horse, how bulky the neck is, and what it looks like with
the overall structure and build of the horse. Quarter horses and thoroughbreds look better with short
manes. Arabians and gaited horses prefer longer manes (Baker).
A stripping blade is a good tool to use to cut the mane. The stripping blade has sharp teeth and a
wooden handle. It is used similarly to how a hair stylist uses a razor. Just hold a small chunk of
hair tight in one hand, and slice downwards with the stripping blade in the other (Baker). A week

First the argument for Post season playoffs leading up to the National Championship could
replace the human or computer polls with the objective of winning or losing a game. A 2007
Gallup poll showed that 85% of college football fans supported a change to a playoff system of
some kind. 69% of fans surveyed preferred the idea of a playoff tournament involving the top
four, eight, or 16 teams to replace bowl games while 16% favored a one game playoff between
the top teams emerging from bowl games. A Team that loses one game during the season is
probably out of contention for the National Champion; If it has two losses or more, there is a
good chance the team will not qualify to play for national title. Therefore, if a team fails early in
the season, then they must win their remain games to have a chance to play for the title. The
playoff system should give every school in division 1 opportunity to earn a chance to make it in
the playoff picture, all 11 conferences in the FBS. Since the BCS conference automatically
qualifies for BCS bowl games, power five conferences will only play for New Year s bowl game.
According to Wetzel (2009), the BCS human polls are subject to bias which has cited as one
reason, the University of Utah was held out of the 2008 championship game. The BCS rewards
undefeated BCS teams, so schools sometimes try to schedule games against weaker opponents to

excellent use of special effects. The film believably adds to the motivations and actions of the
characters. For instance, in the first two films Captain Jack Sparrow struggles with whether to

22. The Phases Of Software Life Cycle From The Simula 67
INTRODUCTION
Over the past few decades, many software development methodologies have appeared and these
methodologies address most of the phases of software life cycle from requirements to maintenance.
In the last twenty years, there has been increasing popularity for object oriented programming.
Hence, the interest to research on object oriented methodologies has increased. Also, there has been
exponential growth due to the increase in number of software systems being described as object
oriented. Many programming languages, office information systems, system simulation and
artificial intelligence have adopted object oriented technology. It is an assumption that learning
specific development method or a set of tools.

Many languages were influenced by Simula 67 such as derivatives of LISP (CLOS), Smalltalk,
Pascal, and C++ Object.
The Smalltalk language:
Smalltalk was developed at Xerox PARC by Alan Kay and others in the 1970s. The term object
oriented programming was introduced to represent the extensive use of objects and messages as
the basis for computation. The ideas of Simula 67 have influenced the creators of Smalltalk.
However, Smalltalk was designed to be more dynamic system in which classes could be created
dynamically rather than static classes like in Simula 67. In August 1981, Byte Magazine has
introduced object based techniques via the Lisp machine to the developers. Integration of functional
programming and Object oriented programming via Meta object protocol were results of
experimentation on extensions to Lisp. Attempts were made design processor architectures that
included hardware support for objects in memory which was unsuccessful. A purely object
oriented language by name Eiffel was first designed by Bertrand Meyer in the year 1985. Eiffel is
not only a programming language but also supports entire software lifecycle. The concepts of Eiffel
were explained by Meyer based on key ideas in computer science, software engineering and Object
Oriented Software Construction. In early and mid1990s, object oriented programming was
developed as the dominant programming methodology. During this period, when

Refresco Gerber intents to control its inbound logistics by controlling the terms of its purchasing
raw materials. Therefore, there is a need for Refresco Gerber to look into the option of buying

According to Cook et. al (2012), the major advantage of using an FOB term is that will give you
control of the inbound supply chain. It will typically allow you better pricing, control of delivery
scheduling and all compliance responsibilities. Based on their analysis for more than forty years on

The Louisiana Purchase shaping America
Christopher Richeson

American History 4th Period
December 15, 2015
Abstract
The Louisiana Purchase was a major event in the growth of the United States of America.
Purchased from France for 15 million by Thomas Jefferson in 1803, it gave America twice the
available land, adding 827,000 square miles. Some may argue the Louisiana Purchase is
unconstitutional, but Jefferson found a way around that. The Constitution says land may be
acquired through treaties such as the Louisiana Purchase. After the accusation of the Louisiana
Territory, Jefferson had an expedition lead by Meriwether Lewis and William Clark. The goal of
the expedition was to map the new territory and find a quicker path to the Pacific Ocean. The
entire expedition lasted a little longer than two years to complete. The Louisiana Purchase was a
deal between The United States and France over 827,000 square miles west of the Mississippi River
. (Wilson, G. 2003) It allowed for major expansion and growth for the small republic in 1803.
What if France would have denied our efforts to acquire the land, would The Unites States be the
same as it is today? Through my research I believe that without the acquisition of the Louisiana
Territory, The United States would not have been able to grow and become what it is today.
Considered to be one of, if not the greatest real estate purchase in American history, the

Soon after reaching maturity, his fame was great enough to earn him entry into the so called

H.H.Scullard agrees with Plutarchs writing and maintains, after becoming an augur an augur at the

Slim has natural power; his authority is gained through respect of the other men. They come to
him voluntarily to ask his advice and to talk to him. Slim s height is also used to reflect his
status and shows us that even though he could have physical power over the men, he chooses
not to, instead he respects them. Slim is seen as the leader by the men even though it seems that
he is equal to them. The fact that Slim is very modest seems to make him even more powerful.
The relationship between Slim and the men is symbiotic because he gives them as much respect
as they give to him. Carlson stepped back to let Slim precede him. This shows that the men are
willing to let Slim go before them, because of the relationship that they have, and it appears to
happen in a natural way. There is a big difference in the way that Slim and Curley use their
power. Slim does not abuse the power he has, unlike Curley. Slim if fairly equal to the other men
as he wears the same type of clothes, works hard and sleeps in the bunkhouse along with them. I
think that this makes the men respect him more as he is one of them and does not see himself as
superior to them. Curley wears boots to make himself stand out and does not work like the others
do. He also sleeps in the house away from the other men and this makes him think that he is
superior over the other men.

The Catcher in The Rye is one of the most banned books in America across schools, libraries, and
book stores, but it should not be as looked down upon as it is. It is banned because partly
because of all of the violence and the bad language it uses. Many parents or teachers do not want
children to be exposed to those kinds of things so they try to shield them from books such as
The Catcher in the Rye. Also, some schools do not want kids having the book because Holden is
seen as a rebel because he is constantly getting kicked out of schools because he does not put
forth the effort. Parents and schools do not want their children to get the idea that it is ok or
even normal for kids to approach school the way Holden does. But, The Catcher in The Rye
should not be banned from libraries, schools, or book stores because it shows teenagers how not

40. Persuasive Advertising Strategy
An advertisement is usually thought of as promotion and generally the main goal is to generate
money, however, that is not always the case. There are many genres of advertisement such as
marketing, persuasion, or encouragement in which all have similar, yet different, goals and
purposes. A marketing advertisement main motive is to sell a product. This can be achieved
through many common advertising techniques such as claims, repetition, association,
bandwagon, or promotion, to name a few. Persuasion and encouragement advertisement may
also be projected by these techniques as well, but there may be a different goal. Persuasive
advertising could also tie into marketing as well being that some ads try to sway consumers into
buying their company s product. Encouragement and persuasive ads may also go hand and hand
with each other as well. These types of ads are usually less about money and more about getting
a point across to the people. Well known examples of this is a Click it or Ticket it commercial or
an advertisement telling people to stop smoking. Every company has a specific goal in mind and

the Socs. Many things occurred in The Outsiders which shaped Ponyboy s identity, such as
Cherry, Ponyboy s parents dying and the Rumble. Sherri Valance helped change Ponyboy s
worldview. She shaped him because he realized that not all Socs were as bad or as lucky as he
once thought. When Cherry was talking to Ponyboy at the movie theater, she told him, all Socs
aren t like that , showing some of them are good. Cherry also helped Ponyboy realize that the
Socs have problems too. During the conversation, Cherry also told him, We (the Socs) have
troubles you never heard of . He thought before that the Socials had good grades, cars and girls,
madras, mustangs and corvairs; and if he had troubles like that he would be lucky. Ponyboy also
had a new understanding that the Socs and Greasers both have had a hard, bad, rough life. Sherri
told Ponyboy that, things are rough all over , which demonstrates that the two... Show more content

Ponyboy no longer had a role model. Ponyboy made many bad decision since he had no parents to
discipline him. He looked up to his gang and was influenced by them (i.e he smokes since he saw
they did too). Ponyboy has to rely on a lot of people. An example of Ponyboy relying on other
people is when he goes to Dally after Bob s death. Dally may not have said or did the best option
for Ponyboy and if he had parents, they would probably give him a better option. Ponyboy becomes
very lonely and needs the feeling of friends or family. As a result of him being lonely, he joins a
gang to fill in the space of a family. When Ponyboy s parents died, Ponyboy had a new identity

Animal Extinction and its Effects on the Human Race
Animal extinction is a tremendous problem in our society. Every year, more and more animals are
going extinct. If we don t do something to stop it, we could see a massive animal extinction in our
lifetime. Many people believe the extinction is irrelevant to human life. They are wrong. Every
species in our universe is part of a web. If one specie on the web goes the whole thing slowly starts
to fall apart, humans included (Bove).
We live in a magnificent place. I close my eyes. I feel the wind surround me, the birds chirping,
the horses galloping up on the near mountaintop. I open my eyes, and I see the prettiest baby dear
so perfectly still just staring at me through the blades of grass, oh there he goes. Wow, I turn around
and I see two beautiful elephants flapping their huge ears at one another. There is the most adorable
white chocolate colored bunny sniffing the most stunning violet flowers I have ever seen. I want to
stay right here in this unbelievable moment forever.
I wake up. It s all gone. I look out my window, and my heart sinks. There are no birds, horses,
deer, elephants, bunny rabbits, flowers or grass, there isn t even that much wind. In my world
these species only exists on a screen or in a dream. Nobody has ever seen any of these creatures
ever. They have been long gone for several hundred years. When I look out at my world all that is
left are the

44. My Father And My Brother
As a child, my brother Jean and I were not always very close, even though we are fairly close in
age. As children, we went to school together and grew up learning the importance of family values,
particularly the meaning of sticking together. Every day we walked to school together. Before we
ventured off to elementary school, our mother would say, Sticktogether, and Jean, listen to your
big brother! Even though I was only two years older than Jean, I knew I was responsible if
anything bad were to happen to him under my watch. My brother and I were quite daring as
children and did not always follow all the rules. Also, Jean was more stubborn than I and did not
know when the time for play should stop. I will never forget that one frightful day when the
lesson about the value of my family and sticking together changed my life. It was a warm day
towards the end of the school year, and everyone was anxious to start summer vacation.
Throughout the day at the elementary school, I would see Jean about two times a day. Close to
the end of the day, and the sunlight beaming into my fifth grade classroom felt like a hundred
degrees. Before we could leave, our teacher Ms. Harris wanted to give us a short vocabulary quiz.
When she started to pass out the quiz, I was thinking of ways to get out of the assignment. At that
very moment, something very frightening happened. All of a sudden, the sound of shuffling papers
was violently interrupted by a loud boom that sounded

45. The Theme Of Love In Sonnet 116
The theme of love is presented in different ways by various poets through the use of diverse
linguistic techniques, such as metaphorical and emotive language, and personification to express
their strong viewpoints on love. Many poets, including Shakespeare, believe that love is
spontaneous and immeasurable. However, other poets such as Carol Ann Duffy bring out the
negative consequences of love. She believes love starts and stops, one minute you are together and
the other you are isolated. She emphasises the intimidating and overpowering aspect of love.
Overall, the poets present three focal aspects of love which are; love, separation, and betrayal.
In the poem Sonnet 116 , Shakespeare highlights love as being everlasting and the key part ... Show

William Shakespeare believes love to be an everlasting unbreakable bond, whereas Carol Ann
Duffy tends to challenge the traditional belief of love and highlights the negatives. In Sonnet
116 , Shakespeare uses Love s not time s fool this use of metaphorical language implies true love
is endless and will last from the first to last second. However, in Valentine Carol Ann Duffy uses
an onion as the symbol of love, the onion rots showing how love will end. This shows the
diversity of Carol Ann Duffy s and Shakespeare s views of

46. Pros And Cons Of Stricter Gun Control In The Modern United...
On the night of October 1, 2017, a gunman named Stephen Paddock, opened fired on a crowd of
people that were attending the Harvest Music Festival on the Las Vegas Strip. Within 10
minutes, the 64 year old fired hundreds of rifle rounds from his suite on the 38th floor of the
Mandalay Bay hotel and casino, killing 58 people, injuring 546, and devastating the entire nation.
When authorities finally arrived on the scene about an hour later, Paddock was found dead from
a self inflicted gun shot wound. The motive of the attack is still unknown. This is the deadliest
mass shooting committed by a single person in modern United States history. Countless other
incidents have occurred in the past 20 years that have made the American population question the
leaders of this country for the gun control policies put in place. It also allowed for questioning of
the meaning and interpretation of the Second Amendment. There is an extreme division between
American people when it comes to gun control laws. The argument over whether stricter gun
laws will never to seize to exist so long as there is still crime that is committed using firearms.
The support from both sides of the argument are exceedingly strong. The side that is in favor of
stricter gun control laws argue that with more laws implemented, the needless loss of life can be
prevented. They believe there should be stricter laws on who can own a gun and how they can
acquire it. Advocates believe that gun control laws would prevent

47. Royal Rumble Match Research Paper
Royal Rumble Match: Randy Orton wins the Royal Rumble eliminating Roman Reigns The Viper
is back in the main event picture after winning a fun Royal Rumble with a number of amazing
moments. From Jack Gallagher jumping off the top with an open umbrella, Baron Corbin
shockingly eliminating Braun Strowman, Luke Harper turning on Bray Wyatt, Lesnar getting
eliminated by Goldberg in quick fashion, to the Goldberg/Undertaker confrontation, what the match
lacked in surprise entrants was made up for in theatrics. Once the match got down to the final four
of Orton, Wyatt, Jericho, Reigns, Jericho was the first to go via Reigns Superman Punch, followed
by Wyatt being eliminated by Reigns. But, just when you thought we were on the verge of an
Alamodome revolt, with Reigns winning for the second time in three years, Randy Orton hit an
RKO and threw Reigns over the top.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As you know we re not generally part of the crowd who consistently dumps all over Reigns in ring
ability here at CDW, but his entrance as the 30th competitor was an odd choice after the last two
years of backlash directed a The Big Dog following his 2015 Royal Rumble win. If it were a troll
job to set up Reigns turning into a black hat, I d be more on board, but the refusal to move Cena
from his Never Give Up /superhero persona has me skeptical if they d ever pull the trigger on
