Max created a poster for his series inspired by shows like Skins and Peaky Blinders. He took photos of his cast and edited them in Photoshop, making them black and white and adding masks with their character types over their eyes. He also added the title, tagline from his trailer, actor names, viewing dates and the network logo to complete the poster.

2. As my first attempt of making the poster failed due
to the quality of the shots I got not being good
enough, I began to work on another, gaining
inspiration from posters such as ‘Skins’, ‘Kidulthood’
and ‘Peaky Blinders’.

3. Knowing I would need to feature all of my characters in
the poster, and due to it being difficult to get them all in
one place, I had us all take several pictures of ourselves
to send into me. I would add all of these onto
Photoshop, editing the size so they all fit on a page. I
then began to make all of them go black and white by
altering their saturation. I also organised them as boy,
girl, boy, girl.

4. I then decided to put a black mask over the
characters eyes, and on that mask I was at first going
to add in their names from the trailer. However I
decided instead I would write their character types
down on paper, and do what I had done for the
character names in my trailer.

5. Having got the basic screenshot of all the characters together, and now all
black and white, I wrote out all the character names, and managed to add
them and cover the characters eyes, using the same method I did when using
the custom typeface for my character names in the trailer.To add extra
effect, the masks I drew over the characters eyes were altered depending on
their character type. For example my unstable and bitch characters eye
covers, had sharp edges, while my fool one was the most wonky. I wanted
this to add to the character representation.

6. This was not yet finished yet. Although posters are very simple I still wanted to add
more to mine, I researched tv series posters in Google images, and concluded that
many posters feature:
 Viewing dates
 Tag line
 Network shown on
 Actor names
While some posters only featured about one to two of these, I decided I would add
them all to my poster. After managing to screenshot the new poster with the
character types over their eyes I brought it back into Photoshop.

7. I decided to chose the font Helvetica, and
used it for all the type. I also took a
screenshot of the actual title ‘YUTES’ from
the trailer to also add it to the poster.
Deciding that it should go on the bottom, I
also begun to type the names at the
bottom but ultimately decided they
worked better at the top. I made their
surnames larger as I had seen that done on
most posters.To add continuity with my
trailer, the tag line I used was actually
featured in my trailer, as well as the date of
release. Due to the nature of my series, I
felt it would be most likely shown on E4. I
got a photo of their logo off of Google
Images and added it to my poster finally
finishing it off.
