Jersey Cows
For as long as there have been cows there has been the argument of which breed is
more useful. Every vet, every farmer, and every person in the dairy industry has his
or her favorite breed. The biggest rivalry in the dairy industry is between Jerseys,
the small browns ones, and Holsteins, the big black and white ones. I know
personally that I have found myself having this argument with multiple people over
the years. Sure Holsteins are big, beautiful animals who make a lot of milk but
Jerseys are quaint, delicate cows that are great at making cheese! And who doesn t
love cheese? For many more reasons than just that I believe that Jerseys are the more
efficient, practical animals. Jersey cows have become lean mean milking machines.
These... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As I said earlier, Jerseys eat less and produce almost the same amount as Holsteins.
Also Holsteins do not have the quality milk as Jerseys so Holstein farmers will get
paid the base price for their milk instead of making that extra money the Jersey
breeders do. It isn t truly worth those few extra pounds when you are wasting so
much money on feed. Through my years of living and working on a dairy farm I
have come to realize that Holsteins are not the practical choice. When it all comes
down to it, Jerseys are most definitely the more efficient cows and the more correct,
practical choice for dairy farmers. Farmers save money on the feed cost while still
making almost as much milk. If the farmer isn t making as much milk they are still
making a higher quality, which is giving them more money. Just remember; less cow
to feed but more cow to milk! Thank you very much for
The State Centric Construction Of The International Politics
The state centric construction of the international politics has forever made forceful
interventions a contentious issue. In defining forceful intervention, Pattison states
that the conceptual condition of a forceful intervention requires the intervention to
occur against someone s wishes, particularly those who are responsible for the
humanitarian crisis for the sole purpose of preventing, reducing or halting actual or
impending loss of life and human suffering. It is crucial to note that this humanitarian
crisis is politically induced and is not the result of any natural disasters and that the
only viable option left to deal with this circumstance is a military intervention. Hence
this paper holds that a humanitarian crisis under above mentioned conditions justifies
a forceful intervention i.e. a military intervention by one state in another state. The
nature of these humanitarian crises has been similar throughout the history, but
justifications for the interventions that follow after these crises have indeed evolved.
The paper discusses three circumstances in three different epochs of world politics
where forceful interventions were justified. The paper presents the interventions
chronologically so as to demonstrate the evolutionary nature of the concept. Firstly,
the paper presents the often neglected untold circumstances of the Indian
subcontinent in the cold war, when India invaded East Pakistan (present day
Bangladesh) in 1971 against the West Pakistan
Minister s Black Veil Romanticism
Romanticism is a type of writing that elevates the imagination over reason, intuition
over fact. Facts are often stretched and altered to tell a truth. Romantic writers don t
necessarily write about love and seem very misleading. A death of a protagonist can
be stretched or exaggerated, but the point is to demonstrate the struggle of the
individual trying to break free. As is the case in ВЁThe Minister s Black VeilВЁ by
Nathaniel Hawthorne.
Nathaniel Hawthorne helped make the novel genre a big part of the American
Romantic tradition. He came from New England and often set his fictional writings
in that region. Also, his novels were often set in the early days of America when the
Puritans first landed and began establishing colonies. His ... Show more content on

It has brought more in depth thoughts of the text and American Romanticism. I
have learned that everyone has secret sins but not everyone is willing to show
them. Everyone is so quick to judge others but won t look at themselves. The
Minister s Black Veil has introduced me to the American Romanticism literature
and has a very deep meaning. It is a great example of all society s now and then.
Nowadays, most people are quick to judge others and everything wrong with them,
without first looking at themselves. Mr Hooper was doing nothing wrong, only
revealing his secrets to his friends and loved ones. Although it might not be the
theme, I also learned that if you don t live to the social norms of society, you will
be judged, shunned, looked at like a monster, even if you are doing it for yourself,
and for your heart. It just proves to me, that our society is messed up. That we live
in a world, where we cannot truly do things for ourselves and live our lives the way
we want because the people usually stop and judge, why can t we just be happy?
Why don t the people just live their lives happily and let everyone do what they d
like without being judged? Our society seems to only care about what the rest of the
world is doing, more than they care about themselves. In conclusion, I have learned
much about our society and the secrets that we all hide
What Is The Appeal Of Roman Holiday
Careening through Rome on a Vespa, Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck are
famous for their outstanding contributions to the classic film, Roman Holiday, but
too often a third key player, the eternal city itself, whose role adds meaningful
allegories and timeless appeal, is overlooked as merely a backdrop. The movie
opens with a grand introduction to the life of young Princess Ann, who is traveling
on a goodwill tour through Europe. Later, the film pans up from the crowded
winding streets to a struggling low end news writer, Joe Bradley gambling in a musty
apartment. That night, the princess, overwhelmed by her tightly regimented and
boring elitist life, escapes from the palace in Romewhere she is staying, only to
collapse exhausted on a back street bench. When, by total coincidence, Bradley
stumbles upon her and obligingly tries to help, she lies about her identity in hopes
of experiencing normal life. Bradley, realizing the truth, aims to obtain the scoop of
a lifetime and solve his money problems forever. The following day, he takes her on
a grand tour of Rome in what becomes a laughable journey as they fall in love,
despite the limitations of social hierarchy. Through its setting in the eternal city, the
spectacular love story takes on deeper meanings and appeal. In innumerable ways,
through its intransience and urban planning, Rome perfectly accentuates the duo s
challenges in this timeless love story. In many ways, Rome s grandeur was a
significant foundation for the

THE REALITY BEHIND CULTS
What is a cult? The purpose of a cult is so an individual and/or group claiming to be
sent by God, to rule the one true religion. To become a cult member you must believe
the exact same things in the exact same ways with no room for differences. Entering
a cult is a lifetime commitment. Systems of intimidation are used to veer the people
from ever thinking about getting out. More specifically, a cult by the name of Aum
Shinrikyo, was a Japanese doomsday cult founded by Shoko Asahara in 1984. The

Aum Shinrikyo was an act of plain evil nothing more nothing less. Could cults be
truly a religious thing? Of course, but in good intentions, otherwise it is simply a
terroristic act and luckily the laws have started to merge to accommodate them as
such. They will no longer just be a religious group, but they will be looked more into
as terroristic attacks, and acts of evil. The people in power can no longer overlook
these torturous activities and allow the people to get away with them. We must treat
ever intimidation act as more than just that, starting with the cults. Now the question
remains, what truly is a
The Between Justice And Revenge
How often have you seen a film, show, or book have a protagonist who was
wronged, then goes on a rampage claiming that they were seeking justice? The main
character claims to seek justice when all they are doing is trying to claim revenge.
Revenge and justice are two words of completely different meanings and yet are
constantly confused for each other. A common question that is asked by people these
days is what is the difference between justiceand revenge ? There are many aspects
besides the definition of the words that show how different they are, however the
strongest answers come from inside a person. In order to find an answer to this
question we must look at how each of these words affect people who could be
involved. When it comes to people that are looking to gainjustice or revenge a big
factor that tells what they are looking at a person s state of mind. A person who is
looking for revenge then they will have an irrational state of mind, while a person
seeking justice will keep a rational state. However in these irrational states it is
common for a person to called their revenge driven actions justice in hopes of
making their actions seem right to the public. Revenge is a creature born from
emotions, these emotions become so powerful that they cover all your senses and
cause you to act irrationally. In Seltzer s essay Don t Confuse Revenge with Justice
he states At its worst, it expresses a hot, overwhelming desire for bloodshed. As

Corporate legislation has been the inside of consideration in the late years. Corporate
outrages have been purchased to the overall population as the shortcomings of
corporate legislation.
This paper starts with the corporate legislation standards of ONGC (Oil and Natural
Gas Corporation) and analyzes how these are connected.
Presentation
Corporate Governance for the most part alludes to the mechanics and techniques by
which organizations are controlled and guided. Corporate Governance includes
keeping up the enthusiasm of the shareholders of the organization, administration,
government, financers, suppliers and the group. It gives the skeleton to attaining the
association s goals.
The administrators and executives of different organizations have understood that
great corporate administration will bring about great profits of the organization.
Great corporate legislations help to expand the estimation of the offer and to build
the capital of the firm. Speculator does not waver to give cash or purchase shares to
those organizations which have great corporate influence.
A few associations have been created to help associations to embrace better corporate
influences. The US business and state offices, the International Finance Corporation
and numerous different associations have been persuading government and firms to
receive and execute corporate code of behaviors and great corporate standards.

my first boyfriend, he played soccer, he was really good at it, and it would lowkey
make me feel insecure and even more shy. I remember when we would have

Something good that happened during 8th grade soccer season, a lady invited me to

Operational efficiency is inevitable for any organisation to grow their business. As

system it will provide extra motivation for the employees to achieve both the firms
goal and the organisation s goal. But on the downside the cultures and believes will
collide and may cause some organisational conflicts and it will result in increased
workload of the employees so that it might actually put high pressure on employees to

Analysis Of The Hillsborough Tragedy
The Hillsborough tragedy is the worst tragedy in a stadium in the history of United
Kingdom that resulted in the death of ninety six people. Disasters such as the
Hillsborough tragedy do not just happen out of the blues but, are a sum of various
mistakes as well as negligence or misjudgements. When these factors come together,
the end result is a disaster that involves loss of lives and life threatening injuries.
Before any event organizer or premises owner agrees to enter in such massive
liabilities, it is important that all systems are critically evaluated in order to address
any lapses in structural capacity, design or even securityand managementaspects that
could result in human injury or death (The Hillsborough StadiumDisaster, 2009).

possibilities of people crushing against the turnstiles and other fixed structures or

behaviour of the spectators (Winter, 2012).

In management or planning events, it is crucial to have it clear in the minds of the
spectators that drugs are strictly prohibited. This brings the aspect of control which
clearly indicates that there lacked police control during the match. In addition to
having police control, the match organizers were supposed to have stewards who
should have identified people bringing in drugs to the match. It is believed the lapse
in security was responsible for drugged fans gaining entry into the
The Death Of The Great War Is England Singing The...
Armistice Day , at the end of the Great War is England singing the holiness of God
away, as Brittan whistles this new song for their conditions for humans spiral out
of control by way of poverty, aloneness, and doubt. During this new dimension, it is
not a new song of happiness that comes out of existence, it is an old song of
sadness that is somehow different because of the earth s new conditions. Unlike
any kind of rats in the Trenches that are around them, the vermin are not out to
harm souls, but to destroy most of God s human beings. While they are not able to
kill them, they are able to torment them for years to come. This plague is the same
as the smoke of the torment as it seems to rise forever and ever (Revelation 14:11).
The only way to glorify God is to accept His principles of mercy. Mercy means that
God does the performs for His people. If God does the work, then He gets the glory.
If mankind looks away then the smoke will never go away. Just as, right after the
war, this smoke is a forewarning that Satan s purpose in the world is coming to
fulfillment as he will embrace the pending judgments against the torment he is
creating.

Why Do Drugs Have On The Music Industry
Impact of the drugs on the music industry Don t do drugs! The old adage most
people go by, except for the huge numbers for rock and roll music artists. Of
course, this is no news to anybody, but why do numerous musicians do an obscene
amount of drugs? The obvious answers are always they are coping with the stress,
they think it has a positive impact on performance, or they don t know how bad
drugs are for mental and physical health. What if drugs are just bad for an artist and
have no positive actions. What if artists do drugs because they it positively impacts

The claim further argues that said stress can be directly blamed for the violent
outbursts of the orcas against the training staff. When whales are taken away from
their families in the wild waters, they grieve the pain and suffering that is associated
with that parting, thus making the whales an emotional time bomb. The documentary
provides grounds to argue that orcas suffer the emotional repercussions of separation,
much like humans do by with the fact that scientists have proven them to be
conscious of human like relationships and feelings via MRI s. Moreover, included in
this documentary was a commercial of a killer whale giving birth to baby Kalina.
Much like our society, killer whales value their relationships with their offspring.
Once Kalina was taken from her mother, Katina, is shown being immobile in the
corner of the tank, audibly screeching and crying. Being able to see and hear the
tragic response of the mother makes the audience empathize with the orca and want
to cry for her. Incorporating this event shows how holding orcas in captivity can
negatively affect them psychologically. This vivid scene gives the audience the
ability to sympathize on a personal level with a mammal other than

Golden Age Of Absolutism Essay
The Age of Absolutism, ranging from 1550 1800, was a period of time where
monarchs successfully gathered wealth and power of states thus allowing the
world to witness the emergence of the Absolute Monarch . The beginning of the
absolutism unarguably originated in Spain with King Philip II who remained in
power for 42 years, claiming he ruled by divine right. Philip II not only extended
Spain s power during his time as an absolute monarch but also led Spain through a
Golden Age from the years 1550 1650. Philip II founded academies of both

guidelines, Americans were asked to limit the intake of sugars to less than 10
percent. Dietary fats are similar topics in both guidelines, and both recommend
that Americans limit the saturated fat intake to 10 percent. Although the percent
remains the same, the 2015 DGA believe that the advice for saturated fats, won t
reduce cardiovascular disease. In 2010 the DGA recommended that the dietary
intake of cholesterol should be 300mg per day (^4), but the 2015 DGA didn t
allocate a recommendation to limit cholesterol. In the 2015 DGA, the topic of
caffeine was discussed. Lastly, the newly revised guidelines recommend drinking
a cup of coffee a day, due to its ability to promote healthy eating habits (6). Those
were just a few of the different subjects discussed in the revised Dietary Guidelines
for Americans. My opinion on the compliance of Louisiana and what steps should
be taken, is very narrow. Louisiana is known for spicy and salty food, which
displays poor sodium intake. The state consumes entirely too much sodium and not
enough wheats. Due to our moist climate, we are usually responsible with the
proper intake of seafood and fruits, but we lack the intake of grains. In order for
Louisiana to receive a proper and healthy
Comparing Dumas The Count s And Maximilien
24.Only a man who has felt ultimate despair is capable of feeling ultimate bliss
(Dumas 531). I like this quote, its converse, and its inverse because they are all
candid quotes. This quote seems to foreshadow the rest of his and Maximilien s
lives . The Count s troubles are obvious and Maximilien went through a period of
severe depression. Maybe the rest of their lives will be much better, and they will
get to feel this ultimate bliss again. 25.It is necessary to have wished for death,
Maximilien, in order to know how good it is to live (Dumas 531). This is from the
letter Edmond sent Maximilien. When you possess something you take it for
granted, but when you lose it it s the only thing you desire. When you get it back is

Analysis Of Orange Is The New Black
The artifact I have chosen to analyze is the following scene from the show Orange is
the New Black (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OtAaXM1GAgw). This scene
displays an interaction between two prisoners and friends, Poussey and Taystee.
Poussey is furious with Taystee for ending up back in prison after being released.
Taystee attempts to explain herself by claiming that prisonis easier than attempting to
live a normal life after prison. Poussey smacks Taystee and angrily states that her
mom passed away while she was in prison and she wasn t there to say goodbye so
Taystee has no reason for walking back into prison because freedom was
inconvenient. To this Taystee responds by sincerely claiming that life after prison
is some kind of joke ; in the real world she doesn t have anywhere to stay, she owes
the prison money that she doesn t have, and everyone she knows is poor, in jail, or
gone . At least in prison she knows where to be and what rules to follow , has a bed,
and gets dinners. I argue that this scene portrays the many ways in which America s
criminal justicesystem negatively affects the average African American significantly
more than it does the average white person.
The first reason I argue that this scene portrays how America s criminal justice
system is worse for African Americans than for Whites regards Taystee s inability to
resume a normal life because of her poverty and that of the neighborhood she returns
to. Taystee recalls that outside of prison
The Potato Virus Essay
Introduction
Potato virus X (PVX) is a plant RNA virus. Its infection cycle includes invasion of
the host plant, RNA replication, translation of viral proteins, cell to cell movement
and release of new virions. Upon infection, PVX releases its plus strand RNA
genome from the virion and produces a viral replicase using host translation
machinery. The replicase synthesizes minus strand RNA. Subsequently new plus
strand genomic RNA (gRNA) and subgenomic RNAs (sgRNAs) are produced.
Movement and coat proteins are translated from the sgRNAs for encapsidation and
movement through plasmodesmata. In this mini review, all aspects of the virus
infection cycle of PVX are discussed.

The 5 terminus has a methylguanosine cap and the 3 terminus consists of a poly(A)
tail [7]. The genome contains five open reading frames (ORFs), see figure 1A.
The 5 proximal ORF (ORF1) can be translated directly from the gRNA by host
translation machinery. ORF1 encodes a 165kDa replicase, which consists of three
domains. These include a methyltransferase , helicase and RNA dependent RNA
polymerase (RdRp) domain. Interestingly the three domains remain as one protein,
whereas it is often cleaved into separate subunits in other plant viruses.
The other ORFs are translated from subgenomic RNAs (sgRNAs), see figure 1B.
ORF2 4 overlap and are therefore called the triple gene block (TGB). The encoded
proteins are TGB1, TGB2 and TGB3 respectively. TGB1 is a 25kDa protein with a
RNA helicase motif similar to the one found in the viral replicase. TGB2/3 contain
sequences for transmembrane domains and are ER associated. TGB1 is expressed
from its own 2.1kb sgRNA (sgRNA1) whereas TGB2/3 are both expressed from
the same 1.4kb sgRNA (sgRNA2). This co translation occurs through leaky
scanning. All three TGB proteins are associated with cell to cell movement through
plasmodesmata (PD) [8]. ORF5 is expressed from a separate sgRNA of 0.9kb
(sgRNA3) and encodes the coat protein (CP). CP is required both for encapsidation
and cell to cell movement. Figure 1 Schematic visualization of the
Kindred Bad Consequences
The question, are bad choices and good choices equally likely to have negative
consequences suggests that making any choice will most likely to leave effect on
other involved in. In other words, decisions have no good or bad quality, by the
consequences define a fine decision maker. In my opinion, people tend to choose
authorized people with the least negative effects in the their success. Through out life
and society, the evidence to support my viewpoint is pervasive.
Consider the case of Kindred, written by Octovia Butler in 1980, set in 1960
Maryland and 1984 California. A black woman, Dana, was forcefully sent back in
time to Maryland. She struggle to handle slavery enforcement, but with the help of
Rufus, the white master, she was able to ease her pain with lighter punishments.
However, Dana had no choice in the end to kill Rufus because he was becoming his
late father whose soul is full of scorn toward the people of color. Her choice had
helped the slaves in Rufus home to escape t freedom. Unfortunately, she caused a life
that loved her from the bottom of his heart. The decision she mad is with wise

Essay on The Articles of Confederation
With the United States new found independence from Great Britain, its founding
fathers realize from their historical experiences that a document of law needed to be
crafted and established to preserve its new found independence, while maintaining
order. However, the first document crafted by the founding fathers, the Articles of
Confederation, did preserve the country new found independence but it did not
maintain order. The Articles of Confederation described by many founding fathers to
be a document that was crafted to satisfy needs of every state for its ratification, even
when the document did not present a responsible democracy. The Articles of
Confederation granted all national powers to the congress; however, it allowed each

in western Massachusetts in 1786 was the event that got the attention of the founding
fathers. The Shay s Rebellion demonstrated to the founding fathers that the Articles of
Confederation brought commercial problems, threaten civil order, and conflicts
between states. Likewise, at the constitutional convention the founding fathers crafted
and ratified the U.S constitution to address the problem the Articles of Confederation
could not tackle. Unlike the Articles of Confederation, the divided the powers of the
national government into three branches: executive, legislative, and judicial.
Furthermore, the constitution established a one true currency system and presented

Death And Dying, Death, And Death
Christopher Bullock had said it best in his work Cobler of Preston , Tis impossible
to be sure of any thing but Death and Taxes. (Shapiro, 2008)
Prior to Elisabeth KГјbler Ross bestseller novel On Death and Dying, death was to
be done alone. Death was a taboo subject for society. Death is the end result of
many different factors effecting the body in a way it (the body) can t handle it any
longer. Speaking in a medical light, there are two types of death, clinical and
biological.
When a patient s breathing and heartbeat stop, clinical death occurs. This condition
may be reversible through CPR and other treatments. However, when the brain
cells die, biological death occurs. This usually happens within 10 minutes of
clinical death, and is not reversible. In fat, brain cells will begin to die after 4 to 6
minutes without fresh oxygen supplied from air breathed in and carried to the brain
by circulating blood. Cardiovascular pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) consists of the
actions you take to revive a person or at least temporarily prevent biological death by
keeping the person s heart and lungs working. (Limmer O Keefe, 2012, p. 1124)
The KГјbler Ross model, or the five stages of grief, postulates, a series of emotions
experienced by terminally ill patients prior to death, wherein the five stages are
denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance. The model was first introduced
by Swiss psychiatrist Elisabeth KГјbler Ross in her 1969 book On Death and Dying,
Advantages And Disadvantages Of Acne
Most people who suffer from acne go out and spend good money on common over
the counter acne treatment products. The truth is, most of these products are full of
chemicals that can actually slow down the healing of acne, and irritate your skin,
causing farther breakouts. When an acne product has 20 ingredients listed on it, it
can be hard to know if one of those ingredients is actually stopping you from having
success. It can be even harder when you can t pronounce the ingredient, much less
know what it is and how it is going to affect your skin. Most mainstream acne
treatments are not only much more expensive than common household items, but
they also don t always work as well either. With that in mind, I will list some basic

Aloe Vera has been used for many years in kitchens for topical application to burns.
Another benefit of aloe is that it can prevent scaring, fade marks and help heal
acne spots. You now have an idea of some basic household items you can use on
your skin, that work better than many OTC acne products, and are much cheaper
to use. Since we have only really covered basic acne treatments, you can always
take this to another level and take all natural, internal acne treatments. This sums
up our basic list of natural alternatives for chemical based acne treatment products.
You can take this a step farther by attacking your acne from the inside out. Acne
has been shown numerous times to be very closely affected by the digestive
system, so keeping your entire digestive system working as smooth as possible can
help reduce acne. I will help give you a basic idea of some all natural products you
can take to help clear up acne. Cucumber, lemon and carrot juice, brewer s yeast,

normally. Since the digestive system is closely related with the health of the skin,
they should help reduce acne breakouts. Flax seed can also be wonderful for helping

The Pros And Cons Of Traditional Textbooks
Electronic textbooks are better than traditional print textbooks
The progress of electronic textbooks induces the discussion on whether electronic
textbooks perform better than traditional print textbooks. It oriented in the Project
Gutenberg using computer to carry information in 1971 (Embong et al., 2012).
According to the Oxford Advanced Learner s dictionary (as cited in Embong, Noor,
Hashim, Ali, Shaari, 2012), electronic book is defined as a book that is displayed on a
computer screen or on an electronic device that is held in the hand, instead of being
printed on paper. It is in multiple electronic formats . However, electronic books
and electronic textbooks can be classified by the purpose of reading; an extra goal in

Smart Growth Initiative in the Face of NJ Landscape Change
The face of the American landscape has undergone a period of fantastic change in
recent decades. With an expanding population and innumerable opportunities for
economic and physical growth, urban centers and sprawling suburbs have pushed
farther and farther into outlying areas causing pressures and development on
previously untouched, natural lands. New Jersey has become, in many ways, the
focus in dealing with issues of sprawl and development within its relatively small
space. The most densely populated state in the nation, New Jersey often acts as a
predecessor in both having and dealing with issues of environmental concern and/or
damage. Within the past ten years, the issue ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

The initiative itself is a bold step in the right general direction made by a group that,
perhaps, bears some of the greatest responsibility in deciding how the future
American landscape will look and feel to those who inhabit it. Unfortunately, where
much is gained, it is often easy to overstep in trying to reach a point and, in turn, miss
the important details. The National Association of Home Builders cites the United
States Department of Agriculture in claiming that the amount of land used in the
nation today for growing crops is virtually identical to 50 years ago and losing
farmland to urban uses does not threaten total cropland or the level of agricultural
production. Albeit an optimistic prospect to the easy observer, this may be all well
and fine for the landscape of the entire United States, but the whole is nothing
without its essential parts. New Jersey, because of its dense urban and suburbanized
population and plentiful but limited resources, is at the forefront of land use/land
planning in the 21st century with some buildout analyses speculating that the state
has little more than ten years before reaching maxing out it s habitable area. As
such, New Jersey is a prime example of why the National Association of Home
Builders claim that the net total acreage of agricultural land in the United States is
misleading as it does not consider
Book Report On Kenan s List
Kenan Trebničević was living in Bosnia during the time of the ethnic cleansing
that happened. In his book, The Bosnia List, Kenan tells about his experience with
the war that him and his family had to live through. Kenan had very skeptical
views about how his homeland turned out to be after the war, but once he traveled
back to Bosnia with his family his perspective was greatly changed. Kenan was
about thirty years old when he decided he was going to make a list of all of the
things that he wanted to do when he got back to Bosnia. After traveling back, he
soon realized that things were much different than he anticipated, and he decided to
make a new list. When Kenan made his original list it had a lot of hate in it. The first

and to escape the horrible life they were living (Trebinčević 296). The first item
on Kenan s new list was, Thank God for Obren, who warned Dad and Mujo away
from the Partizan Sports Hall (Trebničević 297). The Partizan Sports Hall was a
popular place that Kenan and his family occupied a lot. This is the place that
Kenan was able to learn karate as a child from his coach Pero. But, it was also a
place where innocent people were being taken during the ethnic cleansing that
happened in Bosnia. It was very important that Obren was there to warn Kenan s
father and his friend to steer clear of this place now, otherwise they probably would

As directors assume important leadership roles and they are more informed than
other shareholders, thus the information asymmetry tends to be higher between
directors and outside investors than between venture capitalists and outside investors.
However, venture capitalists are repeat investors who have valuable reputation at
stake which may limit their conflict of interests with outside investors acquiring
shares in the IPO. Outside investors may not purchase shares in the IPO backed by
venture capitalists who were previously involved in taking advantage of insider
information and reducing the wealth of outsider investors. Besides venture capitalists
also use IPO as an exit mechanism to optimally recycle investments and maximize
future returns. Hence the length and expiry of directors lockup agreements will
convey significantly different information than the length and expiry of venture
capitalists lockup agreements.

Imagery, Particularly Of The Ottoman Empire
Orientalist imagery, particularly of the Ottoman empire, featured prominently in the
French Neoclassicist artist Ingres works. Western gaze on the Orient permeates his
creations of sultry women lounging around the harem, waiting for their sultan to
arrive. The Orientalism of the female nudes in the paintings The Grand Odalisque
(1814) and The Turkish Bath (1863) is evident. The Orient occupied the Other in the
eyes of the west (Said 44) and became a subject of fascination for Ingres (Shelton
212). Ingres created ethereal, exotic images of the Ottoman Harem and thus,
established his role as an Orientalist.
The Orient refers to the space occupied by the Middle East and Northern Africa
which exists in connection and opposition to the Occident Europe (Said 5). It
exists in Western eyes as the prime subject of domination and control (Said 3) as
the Oriental is viewed as less than human, purely for study and academia (Said 27);
it is he who is also gullible , lazy and unmotivated, and lacks European morals such
as compassion for animal welfare (Said 38). It is the bad Orient and must be
corrected and taught proper morals (Said 99). Its women are submissive and to be
spoken for by the Orientalist foreigner (Said 6), who visits not to learn about or
appreciate culture but to be spectator and to gaze upon what he sees as exotic (Said
21), she has no temperament or lived experience beyond what is assigned to her by
this outsider (Said 6). The Orient is not a real place
The Call for the Gaelic League Essay
The Call for the Gaelic League
What would the United States be like if Americans couldn t practice their customs,
culture, or even appreciate their heritage? Granted the United States is a melting pot
for several ethnicities, but some native countries and cultures have faced this type of
dilemma. The Spanish influence on the Aztecs and the English on Native Americans
are two examples of this imperialistic move. If only these cultures had a strong
network of men and women who devoted their lives towards keeping their culture and
history alive for future generations. The Gaelic League was based upon this definition.

The congestion led to the activation of the Irish Poor laws in 1838 by Great Britain s
Queen Victoria. These laws were enforced in an attempt to promote emigrationto
areas like the United States and Australia. All the outcomes of the Famine were not
necessarily negative. One such incentive was modernization. According to Garvin,
Ireland has been a modernizing society since the Famine, and the tragedy of the
Famine was itself the occasion of a great modernizing change (469). The demand for
an institution of education was in order.
To answer the demand would eventually lead to, The Gaelic League, the dominant
institution of the third revival, (Hutchinson 484) with the second revival being the
Irish Protestant/ Catholic liberation of 1829. With the loss of so many people,
religion became a large part of the community. Such a devastating event left the Irish
vulnerable to outside influences, especially the British. A powerful nation could
easily push its culture, society, and government on a weak country like Ireland in the
mid to late 1800s. To counter the British, religion took on a stronghold on Irish living.
The Catholic Church, through the work of dedicated priests throughout the southern
regions of Ireland, grew in popularity and even united small rural towns. This action
rebuilt trust in communities and aided the most devastated of areas. The major
Christian groups, Irish Protestants and Catholics, would be among the
Essay on Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act
The Stop Online Piracy Act was proposed in January of 2012. SOPA was a
legislative act that attempted to prevent piracy through DNS blocking and
censorship. The legislation caused the protest and blackout of multiple online internet
services including Reddit, 4Chan, Google, Wikipedia, Mozilla, and Tumblr. Now,
internet users are faced with another possible challenge called the Cyber Intelligence
Sharing and Protection Act, or CISPA. CISPA was quickly passed by the House of
Representatives on April 26th, 2012, and is now being processed through the Senate
(Beadon). CISPA s purpose is to promote national cybersecurity through allowing

The Wiretap Act prohibits the government from intentional interception, use, or
disclosure of wire and electronic communications without a warrant. Similarly, the
Electronic Communications Privacy Act protects wire, oral, and electronic
communications while in transit (Franklin). Some may wonder how the government
is able to override such laws that come to make America what it is today, a nation
noted for its religious and intellectual freedom, and the answer is national security.
Anything is possible in order to increase national security and eliminate any threats.
Not to mention that as long as participants of CISPA exchange information with good
intentions, they will not be held to any criminal or civil liabilities and become one
hundred percent anonymous in the process (PopVox). This may incentivize private
companies to release users information without a thought regarding the authenticity of
the threat due to convenience. After information is shared with the federal
government, the data is stored and is able to be used for any purpose beyond
preserving the national security. Some usages include immigration and crime. At the
same time, users are also not required to be notified by either the private company or
the government when their information is exchanged. Due to such concerns, many
activist websites that opposed SOPA, including DemandProgress.org and Avaaz.org,

violent in central city beating and hospitalizing 59 people. Also teens should be at

The Adoration Of Saints
The Adoration of Saints
Baroque is important in regards of European philosophical art history, generating
identifiable and stylistic changes in: painting, sculpture and architecture throughout
the periods of the late sixteenth century to the early eighteenth. Dominant particularly
in the regions of southern Europe such as: Italy, Spain, Portugal, Austria and southern
Germany. Baroque is a stylistic movement that often exaggerated motion to: illustrate
drama, tension and grandeur features such as exaggerated lighting, intense emotions,
release from restraint, and even a kind of artistic sensationalism through various art
forms.
Baroque art did not really depict the life style of the people at that time; the era was
rather intimately integrated along the religious philosophies of the Catholic Counter
Reformation: instituting a program of restoration and a new way of living, in
Europe and its colonies. Its popularity and success was highly encouraged by the
Catholic Church and was made as a responsive movement made by the Council of
Trent towards the Protestant Reformation the two differed: Protestant reformers
wanted to reassess doctrines such as justification and sweep away medieval practices
such as the adoration of saints.

When The Game Stands Tall
Introduction
Sports are a significant part of society and spectators enjoy particular events
regardless of the type. However, there are many players who develop special
working and social relationships with whom they are participating regardless of the
type of sport. The relationship and how people interact with one another can be the
determination of how successful a team can be. The particular film based on a true
story that I chose is titled When the Game Stands Tall. This film consists of a high
performing football team of De La Salle High School in the state of California. Jim
Caviezel portrays the head coach (Bob Ladouceur) as a man with such vision and
passion that goes beyond the fundamental principles of coaching the game of
football. The football team had won 151 games without being defeated which is the
highest winning record a team has had in the game of football. The film shows the
internal struggles of the players in their lives as people, and how they perform on the
field. It also shows the external tragic difficulties that they face while they attend and
play for De Le Salle High School. In the movie, the head coach helps the students
/players by not only coaching them but also showing them how to live a flourishing
life by committing to endure difficult life situations and the way to overcome them.
He helps teach the principles of brotherhood and companionship with the team that
they build. In the movie, the head coach and the staff had taught the players

Everdeen who voluntarily replaces her younger sister, Prime, to be one of the
tribute to participate in the hunger game. She is the family s backbone after her
father died in a mining accident. The district only gave them a small compensation
but it s not enough to support her family s living. Soon, they run out of money and
suffer from hunger. They live in the District 12 where it s a poor and foodshortage
region. People often suffer from hunger and Katniss is of no exception. In one
section of the story, Katniss could not trade old baby clothes for food or find food
from trash bins. She passes by a bakery one day and she is extremely hungry:
When I passed the baker s, the smell of fresh bread was so overwhelming I felt dizzy.
The ovens were in the back, and a golden glow spilled out the open kitchen door. I
stood mesmerized by the heart and the luscious scent until the rain interfered, running
its icy fingers down my back, forcing me back to life. (Collins 29)
Katniss is immersed in the smell of the aromas of bread, and although she is close
to the bakery, she is not able to eat the fresh bread. For her, the fresh bread will
only be for viewing sensation rather than tasting sensation, and I have a similar
experience as Katniss who often suffer hunger. As I read this section of Katniss, it
reminds me that I was an acrobatic school in my 13 years old. Everyone attending
the school had extraordinarily strict dietary restriction. Chocolates, chips, breads,
cookies are snacks that were prohibited. Rice and noodle were limited to only a
small amount for eating, because they are high carb and high starch food. We were
only allowed low calorie food to maintain our physiques even though we were
extremely active and were required to practice acrobatics on a regular basis. We didn t
eat enough food before our physical training, because we might vomit if we eat too
much. Although these snacks were my favorite, I could not eat them due to strict
rules. I was only able to enjoy them through the senses of seeing and smelling to
satisfy my emotional need for these comfort foods. At the age of 17, six acrobatics,
including me, participated
IMP 2 POW 8 Essay
Problem Statement My task was to find 3 equations, that would give me an answer,
if I had certain information. The first was to find one that if you knew that there
were four pegs on the boundary, and none on the interior, you could get the area.
The second was if you knew that there were 4 pegs on the boundary, and you knew
how many were on the interior, you could get the area. And last, if you had the
number on the interior, and the number on the boundary, you could get the area.
Process The first two equations, were a preparation for the final, building up towards
the complete idea. This helped, because I could complete the first two pretty quickly.
For Freddie I drew a 3 column T Table, with a drawing of the... Show more content

I then put the table entries I had, into order, by the area. This helped a lot, so I
could see how the different shapes related. I noticed patterns in groups, I saw a
pattern if there were 0 pegs on the interior, or 1 peg on the interior, but not one that
flowed through out them all. It was very frustrating. Then I tried to work with the
equations I already had, from the other two. I started with the first, X/2 1=Y and I
thought, if I were to add the other variable (which I called I, standing for interior)
where would it go in? So I tried placing it in the equation, because I saw that it would
fit in, and make sense. So I had X/2 1+I=Y . This worked beautifully. I tried
plugging in different values to checked it from my table, and they worked. So I have
the answer.
Solution So I have found each persons formula. Freddie, Sally, and Frashy. I found
each of them using mental thought process by looking at the values I got on an in
/out table. For Freddie s, I had to find a formula that gave me the area if I knew the
boundaries, if the interior was empty. And I got: The Number of Boundary Pegs / 2 1
= The Area of the Shape. For Sally s I had to find a formula that gave me the area if I
knew how many pegs were on the interior, if the boundary was four. I got: Interior
Pegs + 1 = The Area of the Shape. Then, for Frashy s I had to find a formula that gave
me the area if I knew how many pegs were on the interior, and how many were on
the boundary. My answer is:
Gender Stereotypes Should Not Be Taught Essay
One of the hardest tasks required by parents is raising children. It takes a lot of
patience, attention, and precision to do so. However, there is a part where most of
the parents are not aware of, and unconsciously harm their children. That is, using
gender stereotypes whether through teaching or through playing with them. Not only
parents do so, but teachers and certain television channels as well. Based on A
Dictionary of Sociology, genderstereotypes are one sided and exaggerated images of
men and women which are deployed repeatedly in everyday life (Scott Marshall,
2009). Although educating children about gender roles and their differences is
important for them to distinguish between the two genders, and know how to treat
each; gender stereotypes should not be taught to children neither through television
nor through education and parenting. This is because, these stereotypes have the
potential to create a wrong image in the children s mind, cause gender based
violence, and develop a sense of worthlessness and lack of self confidence when not
conforming to those gender stereotypes. These stereotypes can have many negative
impacts on children, of which becoming masculinist or feminist is one. Based on the
social learning theory by Albert Bandura(1961), individuals acquire information
through observational learning where people learn by watching and imitating models.
Yet, for children to do so, there should be attention where the individual must first pay
Social Isolation And Social Capital
Social Isolation and Social Capital The surprising finding of Rankin and Quane does
to an extent show the limits of Putnam s previous research on social isolation because
it does not take into consideration economics and race. Social isolation refers to the
lack of contact or of sustained interaction with individuals and institutions that
represent mainstream society (Wilson qtd Rankin Quane 4). Although, Rankin and
Quane s findings show high levels of engagement among people in poorer
neighborhoods, the findings are not significant enough to change the notion that
social capital is eroding. Putnam refers to social capital as a feature of social
organization such as networks, norms, and social trust that facilitates coordination for
mutual benefit (9). This means that the lack of involvement in the community
decreases social capital and increases social isolation amongst Americans. In this
essay, I will talk about the connections between social isolation, social capital, and
social connection. Social connectedness can be viewed as interaction people have
between their neighbors and their overall surrounding. Some of the examples we will
be looking into is the effect mothers have on social capital, the loss of trust amongst
Americans, lack of network communication, effects that trust, reciprocation, and
obligation have on social isolation and social capital. Social isolation plays a big role
in social capital, social connection, economic status, and race.

Explain Why Soccer Is The Best Sport In The World Essay
Soccer is, by far, the best sport in the world. Many might disagree with this
statement but I think that soccer should be considered the best sport. The fans cheer
louder than any other sport, there is more blood, sweat, and tears than any other
sport, and soccer requires you to think more than any other sport. The passion
between the fans and the players is indescribable unless you experience it first hand.
There are many reasons to why soccer is the best sport in the worldbut some of the
reasons why soccer is the best sport in the world are, it is the most popular sport
around the world, it is one of the hardest sports to learn and pick up on, and I have
been playing soccer my entire life so therefor it has to be the best. The first reason...

Most people think that soccer is just about kicking a ball and getting it into the
goal. Although that might be the general goal of soccer, this sport requires
awareness, aggressiveness, hard work, and a lot of passion. Soccer requires years
of practice and dedication. Starting at a young age practicing passing, your touches
on the ball, and how well you shoot the ball into the back of the net are all key and
will improve how well of a player you become. Completing good passes is key to
winning games. Making a good pass to a player on your team could broaden your
opportunities to score or have an attempt at scoring. Your touch on the ball is key
because if you do not have a good first touch a defender can take the ball very
easily. You also need to have a good touch on the ball so you can dribbled around
defenders and make the correct decisions when it comes to making moves.
Shooting is how the ball ends up in the back of the net which is how the team wins
games. To shoot it does not have to be an upper ninety goal, which means the top
corner between the post and the crossbar. One way you will score is having a
heavy weighted shot low and into the bottom corner of the goal. All of these key
concepts to the sport of soccer take years of practice, hard work, and dedication and
that is why it is the best
Female Polar Bears
Polar bears are a unique animal all their own. Male polar bears have a versatile diet
and foraging strategy compared to female polar bears, which is proving helpful with
recent climate changes. Throughout this paper, the foraging techniques of male and
female polar bears will be discussed along with increasing climate temperatures and
how it is affecting polar bears. Male polar bears are more versatile when foraging for
food compared to female polar bears. Thiemann et al. (2011) found that males
would have a wider range in food selection due to the size of the adult male polar
bears giving it a greater opportunity to hunt larger animals. Therefore the males could
better forage because of more options available to them. Thiemann et al. (2011)...

Since the ice is slowly breaking away, it is causing a negative effect for polar bears
and their foraging ability by not allowing an area for hunting of ringed seals (Elvin,
2014). Rockwell and Gormezano (2009) talk about how the breaking apart of the
ice disrupts the amount of time the polar bears have for hunting seals which in
return is causing the polar bears to travel to land sooner. Rockwell and Gormezano
(2009) state that as the polar bears are coming to shore sooner, they are interfering
with the hatching season of snow geese. Due to the polar bears intruding on the
nests, this gives the polar bears the opportunity to consume the offspring of the
snow geese and obtain any energy still required (Rockwell and Gormezano, 2009).
Even though the polar bears may not get the energy they need from seals, they are
still able to get it by other means because of the climate changing. Overall, male and
female polar bears have their own ways of hunting and foraging. Although the
females have their physical limitations due to size or their cubs, they still find a
way to survive like the males do by feeding off carcasses and hunting. Climate
change is the other limiting factor that is changing the way polar bears forage, but
is also providing new ways as well through nesting grounds. As the world keeps
changing, the polar bears are changing as well to adapt and survive the best way

  • 2. Jersey Cows For as long as there have been cows there has been the argument of which breed is more useful. Every vet, every farmer, and every person in the dairy industry has his or her favorite breed. The biggest rivalry in the dairy industry is between Jerseys, the small browns ones, and Holsteins, the big black and white ones. I know personally that I have found myself having this argument with multiple people over the years. Sure Holsteins are big, beautiful animals who make a lot of milk but Jerseys are quaint, delicate cows that are great at making cheese! And who doesn t love cheese? For many more reasons than just that I believe that Jerseys are the more efficient, practical animals. Jersey cows have become lean mean milking machines. These... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... As I said earlier, Jerseys eat less and produce almost the same amount as Holsteins. Also Holsteins do not have the quality milk as Jerseys so Holstein farmers will get paid the base price for their milk instead of making that extra money the Jersey breeders do. It isn t truly worth those few extra pounds when you are wasting so much money on feed. Through my years of living and working on a dairy farm I have come to realize that Holsteins are not the practical choice. When it all comes down to it, Jerseys are most definitely the more efficient cows and the more correct, practical choice for dairy farmers. Farmers save money on the feed cost while still making almost as much milk. If the farmer isn t making as much milk they are still making a higher quality, which is giving them more money. Just remember; less cow to feed but more cow to milk! Thank you very much for
  • 3. The State Centric Construction Of The International Politics The state centric construction of the international politics has forever made forceful interventions a contentious issue. In defining forceful intervention, Pattison states that the conceptual condition of a forceful intervention requires the intervention to occur against someone s wishes, particularly those who are responsible for the humanitarian crisis for the sole purpose of preventing, reducing or halting actual or impending loss of life and human suffering. It is crucial to note that this humanitarian crisis is politically induced and is not the result of any natural disasters and that the only viable option left to deal with this circumstance is a military intervention. Hence this paper holds that a humanitarian crisis under above mentioned conditions justifies a forceful intervention i.e. a military intervention by one state in another state. The nature of these humanitarian crises has been similar throughout the history, but justifications for the interventions that follow after these crises have indeed evolved. The paper discusses three circumstances in three different epochs of world politics where forceful interventions were justified. The paper presents the interventions chronologically so as to demonstrate the evolutionary nature of the concept. Firstly, the paper presents the often neglected untold circumstances of the Indian subcontinent in the cold war, when India invaded East Pakistan (present day Bangladesh) in 1971 against the West Pakistan
  • 4. Minister s Black Veil Romanticism Romanticism is a type of writing that elevates the imagination over reason, intuition over fact. Facts are often stretched and altered to tell a truth. Romantic writers don t necessarily write about love and seem very misleading. A death of a protagonist can be stretched or exaggerated, but the point is to demonstrate the struggle of the individual trying to break free. As is the case in ВЁThe Minister s Black VeilВЁ by Nathaniel Hawthorne. Nathaniel Hawthorne helped make the novel genre a big part of the American Romantic tradition. He came from New England and often set his fictional writings in that region. Also, his novels were often set in the early days of America when the Puritans first landed and began establishing colonies. His ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It has brought more in depth thoughts of the text and American Romanticism. I have learned that everyone has secret sins but not everyone is willing to show them. Everyone is so quick to judge others but won t look at themselves. The Minister s Black Veil has introduced me to the American Romanticism literature and has a very deep meaning. It is a great example of all society s now and then. Nowadays, most people are quick to judge others and everything wrong with them, without first looking at themselves. Mr Hooper was doing nothing wrong, only revealing his secrets to his friends and loved ones. Although it might not be the theme, I also learned that if you don t live to the social norms of society, you will be judged, shunned, looked at like a monster, even if you are doing it for yourself, and for your heart. It just proves to me, that our society is messed up. That we live in a world, where we cannot truly do things for ourselves and live our lives the way we want because the people usually stop and judge, why can t we just be happy? Why don t the people just live their lives happily and let everyone do what they d like without being judged? Our society seems to only care about what the rest of the world is doing, more than they care about themselves. In conclusion, I have learned much about our society and the secrets that we all hide
  • 5. What Is The Appeal Of Roman Holiday Careening through Rome on a Vespa, Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck are famous for their outstanding contributions to the classic film, Roman Holiday, but too often a third key player, the eternal city itself, whose role adds meaningful allegories and timeless appeal, is overlooked as merely a backdrop. The movie opens with a grand introduction to the life of young Princess Ann, who is traveling on a goodwill tour through Europe. Later, the film pans up from the crowded winding streets to a struggling low end news writer, Joe Bradley gambling in a musty apartment. That night, the princess, overwhelmed by her tightly regimented and boring elitist life, escapes from the palace in Romewhere she is staying, only to collapse exhausted on a back street bench. When, by total coincidence, Bradley stumbles upon her and obligingly tries to help, she lies about her identity in hopes of experiencing normal life. Bradley, realizing the truth, aims to obtain the scoop of a lifetime and solve his money problems forever. The following day, he takes her on a grand tour of Rome in what becomes a laughable journey as they fall in love, despite the limitations of social hierarchy. Through its setting in the eternal city, the spectacular love story takes on deeper meanings and appeal. In innumerable ways, through its intransience and urban planning, Rome perfectly accentuates the duo s challenges in this timeless love story. In many ways, Rome s grandeur was a significant foundation for the

The purpose of a cult is so an individual and/or group claiming to be sent by God, to rule the one true religion. To become a cult member you must believe the exact same things in the exact same ways with no room for differences. Entering a cult is a lifetime commitment. Systems of intimidation are used to veer the people from ever thinking about getting out. Of course, but in good intentions, otherwise it is simply a terroristic act and luckily the laws have started to merge to accommodate them as such. They will no longer just be a religious group, but they will be looked more into as terroristic attacks, and acts of evil. The people in power can no longer overlook these torturous activities and allow the people to get away with them. We must treat ever intimidation act as more than just that, starting with the cults. Now the question remains, what truly is a
  • 8. The Between Justice And Revenge How often have you seen a film, show, or book have a protagonist who was wronged, then goes on a rampage claiming that they were seeking justice? The main character claims to seek justice when all they are doing is trying to claim revenge. Revenge and justice are two words of completely different meanings and yet are constantly confused for each other. A common question that is asked by people these days is what is the difference between justiceand revenge ? There are many aspects besides the definition of the words that show how different they are, however the strongest answers come from inside a person. In order to find an answer to this question we must look at how each of these words affect people who could be involved. When it comes to people that are looking to gainjustice or revenge a big factor that tells what they are looking at a person s state of mind. A person who is looking for revenge then they will have an irrational state of mind, while a person seeking justice will keep a rational state. However in these irrational states it is common for a person to called their revenge driven actions justice in hopes of making their actions seem right to the public. Revenge is a creature born from emotions, these emotions become so powerful that they cover all your senses and cause you to act irrationally. In Seltzer s essay Don t Confuse Revenge with Justice he states At its worst, it expresses a hot, overwhelming desire for bloodshed. As perverse as

Anybody may think 5 years is nothing compared to the other girls who ve been playing their whole lives but I personally think my 5 years was something, I ve learned so much in 5 years. Disasters such as the Hillsborough tragedy do not just happen out of the blues but, are a sum of various mistakes as well as negligence or misjudgements. When these factors come together, the end result is a disaster that involves loss of lives and life threatening injuries. Before any event organizer or premises owner agrees to enter in such massive liabilities, it is important that all systems are critically evaluated in order to address any lapses in structural capacity, design or even securityand managementaspects that could result in human injury or death (The Hillsborough StadiumDisaster, 2009). Armistice Day , at the end of the Great War is England singing the holiness of God away, as Brittan whistles this new song for their conditions for humans spiral out of control by way of poverty, aloneness, and doubt. During this new dimension, it is not a new song of happiness that comes out of existence, it is an old song of sadness that is somehow different because of the earth s new conditions. Unlike any kind of rats in the Trenches that are around them, the vermin are not out to harm souls, but to destroy most of God s human beings. While they are not able to kill them, they are able to torment them for years to come. This plague is the same as the smoke of the torment as it seems to rise forever and ever (Revelation 14:11). The only way to glorify God is to accept His principles of mercy. Mercy means that God does the performs for His people. If God does the work, then He gets the glory. If mankind looks away then the smoke will never go away. Just as, right after the war, this smoke is a forewarning that Satan s purpose in the world is coming to fulfillment as he will embrace the pending judgments against the torment he is creating. To Neville s surprise as he watches Britain sink by war debts, trade exports falling, unemployment rising to double figures, and the Spanish Flu, in retaliation, he vows to make Germany pay . The documentary provides grounds to argue that orcas suffer the emotional repercussions of separation, much like humans do by with the fact that scientists have proven them to be conscious of human like relationships and feelings via MRI s. Moreover, included in this documentary was a commercial of a killer whale giving birth to baby Kalina. Much like our society, killer whales value their relationships with their offspring. This scene displays an interaction between two prisoners and friends, Poussey and Taystee. Poussey is furious with Taystee for ending up back in prison after being released. Taystee attempts to explain herself by claiming that prisonis easier than attempting to live a normal life after prison. Poussey smacks Taystee and angrily states that her mom passed away while she was in prison and she wasn t there to say goodbye so Taystee has no reason for walking back into prison because freedom was inconvenient. To this Taystee responds by sincerely claiming that life after prison is some kind of joke ; in the real world she doesn t have anywhere to stay, she owes the prison money that she doesn t have, and everyone she knows is poor, in jail, or gone . At least in prison she knows where to be and what rules to follow , has a bed, and gets dinners. I argue that this scene portrays the many ways in which America s criminal justicesystem negatively affects the average African American significantly more than it does the average white person. The first reason I argue that this scene portrays how America s criminal justice system is worse for African Americans than for Whites regards Taystee s inability to resume a normal life because of her poverty and that of the neighborhood she returns to. Taystee recalls that outside of prison

Its infection cycle includes invasion of the host plant, RNA replication, translation of viral proteins, cell to cell movement and release of new virions. Upon infection, PVX releases its plus strand RNA genome from the virion and produces a viral replicase using host translation machinery. The replicase synthesizes minus strand RNA. Subsequently new plus strand genomic RNA (gRNA) and subgenomic RNAs (sgRNAs) are produced. Movement and coat proteins are translated from the sgRNAs for encapsidation and movement through plasmodesmata. In this mini review, all aspects of the virus infection cycle of PVX are discussed. The 5 terminus has a methylguanosine cap and the 3 terminus consists of a poly(A) tail [7]. The genome contains five open reading frames (ORFs), see figure 1A. The 5 proximal ORF (ORF1) can be translated directly from the gRNA by host translation machinery. ORF1 encodes a 165kDa replicase, which consists of three domains. These include a methyltransferase , helicase and RNA dependent RNA polymerase (RdRp) domain. Interestingly the three domains remain as one protein, whereas it is often cleaved into separate subunits in other plant viruses. The other ORFs are translated from subgenomic RNAs (sgRNAs), see figure 1B. ORF2 4 overlap and are therefore called the triple gene block (TGB). The encoded proteins are TGB1, TGB2 and TGB3 respectively. TGB1 is a 25kDa protein with a RNA helicase motif similar to the one found in the viral replicase. TGB2/3 contain sequences for transmembrane domains and are ER associated. TGB1 is expressed from its own 2.1kb sgRNA (sgRNA1) whereas TGB2/3 are both expressed from the same 1.4kb sgRNA (sgRNA2). This co translation occurs through leaky scanning. All three TGB proteins are associated with cell to cell movement through plasmodesmata (PD) [8]. ORF5 is expressed from a separate sgRNA of 0.9kb (sgRNA3) and encodes the coat protein (CP). CP is required both for encapsidation and cell to cell movement. Figure 1 Schematic visualization of the

Death is the end result of many different factors effecting the body in a way it (the body) can t handle it any longer. Speaking in a medical light, there are two types of death, clinical and biological. When a patient s breathing and heartbeat stop, clinical death occurs. This condition may be reversible through CPR and other treatments. However, when the brain cells die, biological death occurs. This usually happens within 10 minutes of clinical death, and is not reversible. In fat, brain cells will begin to die after 4 to 6 minutes without fresh oxygen supplied from air breathed in and carried to the brain by circulating blood. Cardiovascular pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) consists of the actions you take to revive a person or at least temporarily prevent biological death by keeping the person s heart and lungs working. Western gaze on the Orient permeates his creations of sultry women lounging around the harem, waiting for their sultan to arrive. The Orient occupied the Other in the eyes of the west (Said 44) and became a subject of fascination for Ingres (Shelton 212). Ingres created ethereal, exotic images of the Ottoman Harem and thus, established his role as an Orientalist. One such incentive was modernization. According to Garvin, Ireland has been a modernizing society since the Famine, and the tragedy of the Famine was itself the occasion of a great modernizing change (469). The demand for an institution of education was in order. To answer the demand would eventually lead to, The Gaelic League, the dominant institution of the third revival, (Hutchinson 484) with the second revival being the Irish Protestant/ Catholic liberation of 1829. This action rebuilt trust in communities and aided the most devastated of areas. The major Christian groups, Irish Protestants and Catholics, would be among the
  • 38. Essay on Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act The Stop Online Piracy Act was proposed in January of 2012. SOPA was a legislative act that attempted to prevent piracy through DNS blocking and censorship. The legislation caused the protest and blackout of multiple online internet services including Reddit, 4Chan, Google, Wikipedia, Mozilla, and Tumblr. Now, internet users are faced with another possible challenge called the Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act, or CISPA. CISPA was quickly passed by the House of Representatives on April 26th, 2012, and is now being processed through the Senate (Beadon). CISPA s purpose is to promote national cybersecurity through allowing private companies and the federal government to exchange users private information, including emails and... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The Wiretap Act prohibits the government from intentional interception, use, or disclosure of wire and electronic communications without a warrant. Similarly, the Electronic Communications Privacy Act protects wire, oral, and electronic communications while in transit (Franklin). Some may wonder how the government is able to override such laws that come to make America what it is today, a nation noted for its religious and intellectual freedom, and the answer is national security. Anything is possible in order to increase national security and eliminate any threats. Not to mention that as long as participants of CISPA exchange information with good intentions, they will not be held to any criminal or civil liabilities and become one hundred percent anonymous in the process (PopVox). This may incentivize private companies to release users information without a thought regarding the authenticity of the threat due to convenience. After information is shared with the federal government, the data is stored and is able to be used for any purpose beyond preserving the national security. Some usages include immigration and crime. At the same time, users are also not required to be notified by either the private company or the government when their information is exchanged. Due to such concerns, many activist websites that opposed SOPA, including DemandProgress.org and Avaaz.org, are also attempting to
  • 39. The Trouble With Teenage Curfews Would you let the government tell you how to control your kids? That s why I think parents should decide whether or not there kids should have curfews. Teens should have curfew of at least 11:00 because when they stay out to late they tend to do wrong things most of the time. Just like in the article The trouble With Youth Curfews stated first there were incidences of shop lifting then on July 29 youths got violent in central city beating and hospitalizing 59 people. Also teens should be at home worrying about school and there future and not on the streets getting into trouble or doing drugs. Also when you have a job working nights and your kids think they can go out and stay out because no body is home just pay someone to watch them so they
  • 40. The Adoration Of Saints The Adoration of Saints Baroque is important in regards of European philosophical art history, generating identifiable and stylistic changes in: painting, sculpture and architecture throughout the periods of the late sixteenth century to the early eighteenth. Dominant particularly in the regions of southern Europe such as: Italy, Spain, Portugal, Austria and southern Germany. Baroque is a stylistic movement that often exaggerated motion to: illustrate drama, tension and grandeur features such as exaggerated lighting, intense emotions, release from restraint, and even a kind of artistic sensationalism through various art forms. Baroque art did not really depict the life style of the people at that time; the era was rather intimately integrated along the religious philosophies of the Catholic Counter Reformation: instituting a program of restoration and a new way of living, in Europe and its colonies. Its popularity and success was highly encouraged by the Catholic Church and was made as a responsive movement made by the Council of Trent towards the Protestant Reformation the two differed: Protestant reformers wanted to reassess doctrines such as justification and sweep away medieval practices such as the adoration of saints. • 41. When The Game Stands Tall Introduction Sports are a significant part of society and spectators enjoy particular events regardless of the type. However, there are many players who develop special working and social relationships with whom they are participating regardless of the type of sport. The relationship and how people interact with one another can be the determination of how successful a team can be. The particular film based on a true story that I chose is titled When the Game Stands Tall. This film consists of a high performing football team of De La Salle High School in the state of California. Jim Caviezel portrays the head coach (Bob Ladouceur) as a man with such vision and passion that goes beyond the fundamental principles of coaching the game of football. The football team had won 151 games without being defeated which is the highest winning record a team has had in the game of football. The film shows the internal struggles of the players in their lives as people, and how they perform on the field. It also shows the external tragic difficulties that they face while they attend and play for De Le Salle High School. In the movie, the head coach helps the students /players by not only coaching them but also showing them how to live a flourishing life by committing to endure difficult life situations and the way to overcome them. He helps teach the principles of brotherhood and companionship with the team that they build. In the movie, the head coach and the staff had taught the players

Gendercide Of The Yugoslavian Civil War Throughout the past degree programmes, I continuously developed fundamental skills required to any serious historical research: how to collect, evaluate the primary and secondary sources in a critical manner and to derive a logical argument from them. The primary outcomes of this training were research essays that I did for assessment. One example is Understanding the gendercide of the Yugoslavian civil war, 1991 1995 , which was produced for the seminar on contemporary nationalism and gender politics. This one critically reviewed major analytic frameworks on mass war rape, namely biological, feminist, strategic interpretations, and pointed out all of them had failed to take account of the historical process that ethnicised of women s body
  • 43. Hunger In The Hunger Game In the novel Hunger Game, author Suzanne Collins narrates a girl name Katniss Everdeen who voluntarily replaces her younger sister, Prime, to be one of the tribute to participate in the hunger game. She is the family s backbone after her father died in a mining accident. The district only gave them a small compensation but it s not enough to support her family s living. Soon, they run out of money and suffer from hunger. They live in the District 12 where it s a poor and foodshortage region. People often suffer from hunger and Katniss is of no exception. In one section of the story, Katniss could not trade old baby clothes for food or find food from trash bins. She passes by a bakery one day and she is extremely hungry: When I passed the baker s, the smell of fresh bread was so overwhelming I felt dizzy. The ovens were in the back, and a golden glow spilled out the open kitchen door. I stood mesmerized by the heart and the luscious scent until the rain interfered, running its icy fingers down my back, forcing me back to life. (Collins 29) Katniss is immersed in the smell of the aromas of bread, and although she is close to the bakery, she is not able to eat the fresh bread. For her, the fresh bread will only be for viewing sensation rather than tasting sensation, and I have a similar experience as Katniss who often suffer hunger. As I read this section of Katniss, it reminds me that I was an acrobatic school in my 13 years old. Everyone attending the school had extraordinarily strict dietary restriction. Chocolates, chips, breads, cookies are snacks that were prohibited. Rice and noodle were limited to only a small amount for eating, because they are high carb and high starch food. We were only allowed low calorie food to maintain our physiques even though we were extremely active and were required to practice acrobatics on a regular basis. We didn t eat enough food before our physical training, because we might vomit if we eat too much. Although these snacks were my favorite, I could not eat them due to strict rules. I was only able to enjoy them through the senses of seeing and smelling to satisfy my emotional need for these comfort foods. At the age of 17, six acrobatics, including me, participated

The first was to find one that if you knew that there were four pegs on the boundary, and none on the interior, you could get the area. The second was if you knew that there were 4 pegs on the boundary, and you knew how many were on the interior, you could get the area. And last, if you had the number on the interior, and the number on the boundary, you could get the area. Process The first two equations, were a preparation for the final, building up towards the complete idea. This helped, because I could complete the first two pretty quickly. For Freddie I drew a 3 column T Table, with a drawing of the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I then put the table entries I had, into order, by the area. This helped a lot, so I could see how the different shapes related. I noticed patterns in groups, I saw a pattern if there were 0 pegs on the interior, or 1 peg on the interior, but not one that flowed through out them all. It was very frustrating. Then I tried to work with the equations I already had, from the other two. I started with the first, X/2 1=Y and I thought, if I were to add the other variable (which I called I, standing for interior) where would it go in? So I tried placing it in the equation, because I saw that it would fit in, and make sense. So I had X/2 1+I=Y . This worked beautifully. I tried plugging in different values to checked it from my table, and they worked. So I have the answer. Solution So I have found each persons formula. Freddie, Sally, and Frashy. I found each of them using mental thought process by looking at the values I got on an in /out table. For Freddie s, I had to find a formula that gave me the area if I knew the boundaries, if the interior was empty. And I got: The Number of Boundary Pegs / 2 1 = The Area of the Shape. For Sally s I had to find a formula that gave me the area if I knew how many pegs were on the interior, if the boundary was four. I got: Interior Pegs + 1 = The Area of the Shape. Then, for Frashy s I had to find a formula that gave me the area if I knew how many pegs were on the interior, and how many were on the boundary. My answer is:
  • 45. Gender Stereotypes Should Not Be Taught Essay One of the hardest tasks required by parents is raising children. It takes a lot of patience, attention, and precision to do so. However, there is a part where most of the parents are not aware of, and unconsciously harm their children. That is, using gender stereotypes whether through teaching or through playing with them. Not only parents do so, but teachers and certain television channels as well. Based on A Dictionary of Sociology, genderstereotypes are one sided and exaggerated images of men and women which are deployed repeatedly in everyday life (Scott Marshall, 2009). Although educating children about gender roles and their differences is important for them to distinguish between the two genders, and know how to treat each; gender stereotypes should not be taught to children neither through television nor through education and parenting. This is because, these stereotypes have the potential to create a wrong image in the children s mind, cause gender based violence, and develop a sense of worthlessness and lack of self confidence when not conforming to those gender stereotypes. These stereotypes can have many negative impacts on children, of which becoming masculinist or feminist is one. Based on the social learning theory by Albert Bandura(1961), individuals acquire information through observational learning where people learn by watching and imitating models. Yet, for children to do so, there should be attention where the individual must first pay
  • 46. Social Isolation And Social Capital Social Isolation and Social Capital The surprising finding of Rankin and Quane does to an extent show the limits of Putnam s previous research on social isolation because it does not take into consideration economics and race. Social isolation refers to the lack of contact or of sustained interaction with individuals and institutions that represent mainstream society (Wilson qtd Rankin Quane 4). Although, Rankin and Quane s findings show high levels of engagement among people in poorer neighborhoods, the findings are not significant enough to change the notion that social capital is eroding. Putnam refers to social capital as a feature of social organization such as networks, norms, and social trust that facilitates coordination for mutual benefit (9). This means that the lack of involvement in the community decreases social capital and increases social isolation amongst Americans. In this essay, I will talk about the connections between social isolation, social capital, and social connection. Social connectedness can be viewed as interaction people have between their neighbors and their overall surrounding. Some of the examples we will be looking into is the effect mothers have on social capital, the loss of trust amongst Americans, lack of network communication, effects that trust, reciprocation, and obligation have on social isolation and social capital. Social isolation plays a big role in social capital, social connection, economic status, and race.

Many might disagree with this statement but I think that soccer should be considered the best sport. The fans cheer louder than any other sport, there is more blood, sweat, and tears than any other sport, and soccer requires you to think more than any other sport. The passion between the fans and the players is indescribable unless you experience it first hand. There are many reasons to why soccer is the best sport in the worldbut some of the reasons why soccer is the best sport in the world are, it is the most popular sport around the world, it is one of the hardest sports to learn and pick up on, and I have been playing soccer my entire life so therefor it has to be the best. The first reason... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Most people think that soccer is just about kicking a ball and getting it into the goal. Although that might be the general goal of soccer, this sport requires awareness, aggressiveness, hard work, and a lot of passion. Soccer requires years of practice and dedication. Starting at a young age practicing passing, your touches on the ball, and how well you shoot the ball into the back of the net are all key and will improve how well of a player you become. Completing good passes is key to winning games. Making a good pass to a player on your team could broaden your opportunities to score or have an attempt at scoring. Your touch on the ball is key because if you do not have a good first touch a defender can take the ball very easily. You also need to have a good touch on the ball so you can dribbled around defenders and make the correct decisions when it comes to making moves. Shooting is how the ball ends up in the back of the net which is how the team wins games. To shoot it does not have to be an upper ninety goal, which means the top corner between the post and the crossbar. One way you will score is having a heavy weighted shot low and into the bottom corner of the goal. All of these key concepts to the sport of soccer take years of practice, hard work, and dedication and that is why it is the best
  • 49. Female Polar Bears Polar bears are a unique animal all their own. Male polar bears have a versatile diet and foraging strategy compared to female polar bears, which is proving helpful with recent climate changes. Throughout this paper, the foraging techniques of male and female polar bears will be discussed along with increasing climate temperatures and how it is affecting polar bears. Male polar bears are more versatile when foraging for food compared to female polar bears. Thiemann et al. (2011) found that males would have a wider range in food selection due to the size of the adult male polar bears giving it a greater opportunity to hunt larger animals. Therefore the males could better forage because of more options available to them. Thiemann et al. (2011)... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Since the ice is slowly breaking away, it is causing a negative effect for polar bears and their foraging ability by not allowing an area for hunting of ringed seals (Elvin, 2014). Rockwell and Gormezano (2009) talk about how the breaking apart of the ice disrupts the amount of time the polar bears have for hunting seals which in return is causing the polar bears to travel to land sooner. Rockwell and Gormezano (2009) state that as the polar bears are coming to shore sooner, they are interfering with the hatching season of snow geese. Due to the polar bears intruding on the nests, this gives the polar bears the opportunity to consume the offspring of the snow geese and obtain any energy still required (Rockwell and Gormezano, 2009). Even though the polar bears may not get the energy they need from seals, they are still able to get it by other means because of the climate changing. Overall, male and female polar bears have their own ways of hunting and foraging. Although the females have their physical limitations due to size or their cubs, they still find a way to survive like the males do by feeding off carcasses and hunting. Climate change is the other limiting factor that is changing the way polar bears forage, but is also providing new ways as well through nesting grounds. As the world keeps changing, the polar bears are changing as well to adapt and survive the best way
