Ebola is a virus in the family of Filoviridae that was first discovered
on the continent of Africa and has rarely been discovered in other
places.
It is caused by coming in contact with a infected non-human primate
carrying the disease, there is no known actual source for the disease
though
 The virus is transmitted through contact with infected
animals and also from close human contact or
infected bodily fluids or needles.
 Anyone can get Ebola and it is transmitted fairly
easily, especially for a very deadly virus
 People native to the continent of Africa or people
who spend time there might be more likely to
encounter Ebola
The Ebola virus has an incubation period
of anywhere between 2-21 days
 Depending on what strain of the disease
is present 90% of people infected will die
There is no vaccine and no formal
treatment specifically for Ebola.
There are many symptoms
of Ebola but not all are
obviously related to this
virus. These include
 Chills
 Sore throat
 Diarrhea
 Fatigue
 Fever
 Headache
 Nausea / Vomiting
There is no standardized treatment for the
Ebola virus, the best way to avoid
