Stereotypes In If That Ain T Country
What do you think of when you think of an old country song? Is it singing about
plowing the fields, find a young lassie to dance with in the bar, getting drunk with
the boys and so on. If That Ain t Country by David Allan Coe tries to shine a new
light on what country is and that is white trash hicks, which he suggests are
forgotten people in the world. We listen to this song and will giggle at some of the
lyrics or are startled by how some parts are pretty racist, but it has a very true side
of it that shows that country folk aren t all classy, church going folk. The
beginning of this song is an essentially a summary of what his life was like
growing up in Texas. It almost seems like he tries to hit every stereotype possible
such as The old man was covered with tattoos and scars/ He got some in prisons
and others in bars suggesting that his father was a mean drunk and also ex
convict. The next stereotype is They looked liked tombstones in our yard
suggesting the old, rusting cars in the their yard that Dad would fix up and the
stereotype of white trash people leaving crap in there yard is in play here. In all of
these stereotypes he does suggest that his Dad worked hard to make ends meet. This
shows that they weren t just a lazy family, at least.... Show more content on

Considering this was written in 1977 he was either talking about the Korean War
or World War II considering how they got their home, with the G.I. Bill, didn t go
into affect until 1944. David Allan Coe does take a shot at our foreign policy and
how we treat out soldiers when he says, But it wasn t worth all he had to kill to get
it. This suggests he fought in Korea because overtime it became more of a
controversial war. We continue to see the essence, of pour, white trash being
forgotten about because he feels like his father was damaged by the war and the
government didn t really do much about
Battle Of Brownsville Essay
The Battle of Brownsville was the final battle in the American Civil War. Although
it was a Confederate victory, the Union Army won the war. This battle took place
near the present day Rio Grand River. It is sometimes called the Battle of Palmito
Ranch or the battle on the Gulf Coast. There are many opinions on how many
soldiers died that day, but the most reliable seems to come from CivilWar.com. They
say that 118 Union soldiers were lost, compared to only around 6 Confederate
soldiers. The Union Armys purpose was to disrupt any reported Confederate camps
and possible blockades around the area, but failed when their position was given
away by the crunching of twigs and leaves . The Union soldiers both white and black
were forced to retreat

Criterion Referenced Tests CRT Should Be Used Rather Than Norm Referenced
Tests NRT The assessment looks at the wide variety of methods that educators use to
evaluate and determined the achievement of the student s educational need. The
focus of this essay is to look at the Criterion Referenced Tests (CRT) and the Norm
Referenced Tests (NRT) usage to see why the Criterion Referenced Tests should be
used rather than the Norm Referenced Tests. The learningstandards and the
curriculum will be discussed to help determine why the CRT should be used rather
than the NRT. Also, we will take a look at the principal use of how the two methods
differ by one using survey testing and the other mastery testing. I will give my
informed opinion throughout the essay. The Criterion Referenced Tests measure the
performance against a fix set of predetermined learning standards. This means that
there will be written descriptions of what students are expected to know and are able
to do in each learning outcome unit stage in the course. This method of assessment is
done to evaluate what skills the student has learned. The learning standards will
measure how well a student has mastered the specific skill described in the national
learning standards (Waugh Gronlund, 2013). Since the teachers and the schools can
develop their own learning standards, this will help the students to be able to
accomplish the learning objective performance outcome expected in my opinion. The

A Summary Of Medieval Women In The Middle Ages
Why were medieval women looked at with disdain, and why was their freedom
restrained? This is a question perplexing many historians. What is known of
Medieval women of the Middle Ages is very nebulous and self contradictory. The
traditional view for a long period of time was that women were very much reliant
on men and rather helpless without the male dominated political, clerical, and
economic aspects of society. Women also seemed to be seductive creatures that did
not have self control, unlike men. However, these ideas proved to be biased, since
most of the records kept at the time were written by men; therefore, not many women
were able to share their point of view, since many of them were uneducated or did not
have the opportunity to share their beliefs, especially because of the male dominant
society. As a result, society at this time, especially in Europe, was a misogynistic, anti
feminist community. During the middle ages, many works were written by men that
evidently portrayed their anti feminist perspectives; additionally, women in this
society possessed virtually no independence and consequently were at the mercy of
their husbands or male counterparts, as depicted in medieval works such as Sir
Gawain and the Great Knight, The Story of Sheikh Sam an, and The Canterbury Tales.
In the 13th century, during Arthurian period in England, society was mostly male
dominant, in which women had little to no power; Sir Gawain and the Green Knight
by The Pearl Poet illustrates
Infant Physical Development
The infants physical development starts with the head and then moves to other
parts of the body. From the very beginning babies are very curious and are ready to
start exploring. Infants necks are unable to support the weight of the head when
the baby is sat up straight. They are able to turn their heads left to right when
laying down. Infants are able to close their fist. At three months of age babies are
more flexible and become more stronger. At this age babies start to try to roll over.
They start to grab the edge of the crib and try to pull themselves up so that they can
stand with the support of the crib. The infants start to explore more and they are
amused by little toys. An example would be a toy that lights up when they touch it,
when they discover this they realize that when they push the toy the toy will light up.

This is when parents need to be aware of where their child where about are. Infants
are known to start crawling at this age. They also grab things and pull things towards
them. Parents need to be very observant that their infants at this age do not put
anything in their mouth that could make them choke. The age of nine months to a
year, the infants can do a lot of things without help. They can sit up by themselves.
Infants can stand up without the assistance of an adult. They can decide which toys
to pick up and they can pick up the objects they would like to entertain themselves
with. Infants can also sit unaided as well, they have built enough support for their
neck to support their head weight

The Water And Hydrologic Cycle
The Water and Hydrologic Cycle As we understand it today we know that water is
a vital resource and it is one of the most important substances on earth for all
species, plants and animals. All species, plants and animals must have water to
survive to sustain life. It is noted that if there is no water on earth then there would
be no life forms on earth either. Water is also essential for the healthy growth of all
farm crops and farm stock in the manufacture of many products for environmental
growth. Apart from drinking water to survive, humans have many other uses for
water. These include: cooking, washing their bodies, washing clothes, washing
cooking and eating utensils; such as billies, saucepans, crockery and cutlery,
keeping houses and communities clean, recreation; such as swimming pools and
keeping plants alive in gardens and parks. It is most important that the water which
humans drink and use for other purposes is considered as clean water. This means
that the water we drink must be free of germs and chemicals and be clear (not
cloudy). There are many vital resources of water as well that are needed to sustain
life on earth, but for this essay we will only take a look at three, Rain Water, Surface
Water and Underground Water. Rain Water: Is Water that is collected on the earth in
the form of surface water and underground water. Surface Water: The water present
on the surface of the earth in the form of oceans, rivers, lakes, ponds and streams is
Personality Is Developed From Genes ( Nature ) Or...
This paper explores the notion on whether a person s personality is developed from
genes (nature) or influenced by environment (nurture). Personality is something every
human has and is an essential element in their social world. This research is
important to know if, how, and why personalities change. Different scholarly based
material was used to support either stance on the issue. The articles and research
helped to decipher the roles of parents, genes, biology, the environment, experiences,
and culture in a person s personality. Personality theorieswere inputted to come to a
conclusion on the subject of interest that is derived from actions, emotions, and
attitudes. Many contemporary psychologists have distinguished five clusters of
personality traits called the Big Five. The results of the research from the paper
identify the answer to the question about personality. The conclusion recognized that
everybody has a different personality developed by different components that includes
both inherited traits and learned traits. Plus, how those traits modify personalities.
The Origin of Personality: Nature or Nurture?
Personality is debated over what factors influence and shape it the most. Is it a person
s nature including genes and temperament or nurture with the environment and
culture? Do they both have an effect in the development of a personality? The main
purpose of this research paper will address these questions and examine how these
factors impact personalities.

Politics And Politics In Shakespeare
Shakespeare treats politics and politicians in a derogatory way as we can see that
Lear sees them as being abject tricksters and Hamlet thinks that they are evading
God. The first political manual was Machiavelli`s The Prince believed to written
in 1513 and it set the way people viewed politics and politicians, which was
impossible to be a favorably way. His pragmatic book exhibits the consolidation of
power and the gain of it, and also promotes the idea that politicians would do just
about anything in their power to secure a strong state. The Prince describes what
men do, and it was banned by the Tudor politicians because it promoted politics in
a vicious way. Richard III is the vicious he pursues Lady Anne in a brassy way as
she was grieving after her husband, Prince Edward, and her father in law, Henry IV.

because his sole purpose is to take the throne. The house of York and Lancaster

Sexism As A Scientist Or Engineer
In the long history of sexism in science, technology, engineer and mathematics
(STEM), women have been discrimination of being unfit or not apprehensiveness
enough for being a scientist or engineer by men who have high doubtful on women or
mocking women working as an engineer that they would destroy something.
Determining or judging the action of the genderin different position and the thinking
of discrimination from the superior race or gender to the lesser is what it called sexism
. Sexism is most common in science and engineer especially women is the most
affected.
In my desired job position in the world of Biotechnology, I have an inferior
knowledge in my brain about women in the lab. In the past of my experiences with
my brother, I went to visit his college called California State University, Fresno or
Fresno State for short. I used my experience in this essay because it is related to
my job position and the case that I will explain henceforth in this essay. I entered
Fresno State to explore several buildings on campus. The first building I went into
is College of Science and Mathematics. As you see, I love to learn about
microorganisms, so I went to see the lab. As I peeked in the lab, I noticed
something that seems not right. I don t see any women in the lab, just men. I asked
someone in the lab why is there no women in the lab. That person told me those
women is not good enough to be scientist. Did I just hear sexism from his voice?

Maintaining Medical Documentation Essay
In any medical facility, the number one reason for maintaining medical
documentation is to ensure continuity of care for the patient. Good medical
documentation supports decent communication between patients and doctors for
different reasons. Recording all important information help the doctors monitor the
patient s medical history, develop the patient s treatment plan, and minimizes the
risks of errors being made. If there are any mistakes it can jeopardize the patient s
well being. It may also lead to malpractice lawsuits. In CMSW, the major problem I
noticed is that they have issues in setting up their computer patients folders and
keeping it organized. As I scanned the payment bills into the computer system under
the patients folder, I needed to be... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The folder would be set up as last name, first name, and middle initial if it is
applicable. Patients with the same last and first name will be differentiate by the
date of birth. For example, Gonzalez, Jaxon DOB 10/06/87 and Gonzalez, Jaxon
DOB 12/07/62. For those patients that have multiple DOAs (Date of accident),
within the folder, I would subdivide the folder with the specific DOA. That way
when scanning the document it goes into the specific DOA folder and it does not
get mix up with the other DOAs. For instance, let s say Gonzalez, Jaxon DOB 10
/06/87 has multiple DOAs, the subfolder would look like this: DOA 7/10/13, DOA
4/06/14, and DOA 10/24/15. Having the middle name initial is also important to
tell the difference between same named patients. I would also correct the
misspelled names by cross reference the patients spelling of the name with the
demographics/C 1 form to make sure the spelling is correct. If it is not correct than
I would edit the folder. For example, the folder is named Jaxson Gonzalez, but in the
demographic it says Jaxon Gonzalez; so I would change the folder name to the correct
Toddler Mattress Research Paper
The Best Toddler Mattress for Cheap
When you have a little one to care for, you will find that there are an insane amount
of baby and toddler products available. It gets overwhelming for parents to try and
figure out which products are the best, especially when it comes to mattresses. There
are toddler mattresses, infant mattresses, organic mattresses, mattresses that are
covered by waterproof material, and more. If that doesn t make it hard enough to
decide on, you also have different prices. Is a cheap toddler mattress as good as a
more expensive one? Can you really afford the more expensive options? Our goal is
to take the guesswork out of crib mattresses. That is why we went in search of the
best toddler mattress for cheap prices.
Difference ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Is there really a difference between the two? The answer is, Yes. Infants need to be
supported throughout the night. It has been proven that a baby will sleep safer on
a firmer sleep surface. Many infant mattresses have very little padding so that you
do not have to worry about them rolling in their sleep and being unable to breathe
because of the mattress over their face. On the other hand, toddler mattresses are not
as firm. Toddlers are beyond the risk of SIDS and more able to adjust the way they
are laying.
Do Infant Mattresses Fit in Traditional Cribs?
Traditional style cribs are generally one size fits all. They are designed to be used
from infancy through toddlerhood. For this reason, if you have a crib that is not
portable, a mattress, whether rated for infants or toddlers, will fit in your crib. You
do not have to worry about a gap between the mattress and the crib rails. As an
added bonus, it also means that they can also work when it is time to move a child
into a toddler bed. This makes it even easier to find cheap toddler beds with mattress,
because you already have the mattress.

Jean Valjean Quotes
In the middle of the book, Jean Valjean has saved a young girl named Cosette and
raised her as his daughter after her mother died. These actions also have a
redeeming effect on Jean Valjean, as he put his promise to the girl s mother before
his own safety and escaped from another bout in prison to find the young girl. Jean
Valjean does not think this redeems him, however. He is very suspicious and
changes their names to hide from the law enforcement. He also became very
suspicious and cagey when a young man, Marius, became interested in Cosette. In
Marius s words, he began to be less punctual, and did not bring his daughter every
day (168). After some time, he and Cosette move away so Marius cannot find them.

Attachment Bond Psychology
What is an attachment bond? An attachment bond is the unique emotional
relationship between your baby and you as his or her primary caretaker
(Robinson). Dogs have been seen as to being the most loyal to their owners since
they have a bond that goes back for generations. Before dogs were kept as pets,
they were wolves and it has been confirmed that dogs still actively carry the wolves
traits in all areas that allow them to bond with families. Wolves are known for being
territorial, hunting cooperatively, and becoming emotionally bonded with their
owner and when seeing them after a long period of time are filled with excitement
and passion. By being part of the family, dogs feel the comfort and support as they
would in an wolf pack that leads... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Dogs reacted the same way an infant or a chimpanzee would react without their
mother and for a dog was its owner. By doing the experiment on dogs and their
owners, experimenters were able to conclude that dogs were emotionally attached to
their owners. Therefore, we can conclude since the results are of those like infants,
babies form an emotional bond with their caretaker which eventually turns into an
attachment bond with their loved one. Babies tend to cry while dogs scratch the
door and whine wanting their loved one or owner. Identifying dog behavior helps us
identify our own abilities and experiences that affect our behavior. We can utilize the
test done upon the dogs to advance the transition of an emotional bond to an
attachment bond as the infant grows. The test however concluded that it was
separation anxiety that caused the whining and the scratching on the door. What
about the baby? The information and results that came from the experiment can
help us advance upon the baby and their feelings towards the mother. Dogs tend to
act like people but do they think and act like a human? They have the
characteristics of acting like a human because their owners have instilled their
values into their upbringing. Just like an infant, the early stages are the most
important to lay the foundation that will pave the way for the rest of their lives. As
for a dog, the way we treat and teach them, they will act, there is no breed that is
born aggressive, the dog is dependant on the upbringing of the owner. Infants still
have the capability of saying no and not tend to respect their parents as would a

Mistress . What is suggested about the different ways in which men and women view
love?
To His Coy Mistress was written by Andrew Marvell (1621 1678). The poem is a
metaphysical poem, which was mostly used in the seventeenth century and was
classed as a highly intellectual type of poetry and mainly expressed the complexities
of love and life; just as this poem is. In brief the poem is about seizing every
opportunity in life and not caring about the past or future. In other words seize the
day . The poem also explores the nature of seduction.

Biblical references are used as he refers to Noah s arc and conversion of the Jews
which is the end of the world. Marvell also uses euphemism vegetable love will
grow where he s saying he is getting over excited. From line 23 to line 18 the man is
trying to persuade her by using hyperbole, flattery and exaggeration. On line 20 the
man is telling the women how beautiful she is and how much he loves her. Generally
in the first section the man doesn t think much of the woman respect wise because he
s trying everything possible to get her.
One of Andrew Marvell s techniques was metaphysical poetry, e.g. vegetable love
should grow and things contrasting between the physical and spiritual.
In section two the man is expressing that human life is to short and that no one can
embrace and love in the grave. The second section is known as the antithesis and
that is the reaction to his original ideas. The first word in the second section is but
which is a Volta and that means there s a change in what the man is talking about.
The tone gets darker and bleaker because he starts to use imagery of death which is
a consequence of not acting on his impulses and his desires. Personification is used
when the man says he always hears time s winged chariot hurrying near which a
personification of life is closing in on time. Hurrying is also is a verb. The man says
Deserts which is insinuating that his sex life is

Strategic Management
Abstract
Strategic managementis the planning, development, and implementation of the
organization s goals and objectives by senior management in regard to the company s
internal and external resources. Strategic management also involves examining the
competitors and comparing them to identify which ways to be better than them. An
organization should look at their strengths and weakness and compare them against
those of their competitors. It should also search for opportunities available in the

An entrepreneur offers unique products at lower prices than those of the competitors.
In developing the core strategies, an entrepreneur should evaluate the markets and
analyze their strengths and weaknesses. He or she should establish the opportunities
and threats in the markets in order to strategically place his or her business. After
carefully choosing the strategy, the entrepreneur introduces a global program
whereby he or she introduces the homogeneous product and adjusts it into the local
market. He or she should balance the local needs and the overall global strategies. In
executing a good global program, an entrepreneur should be flexible and standard.
Moreover, the entrepreneur should consider the local markets cultures so as to know
which products fit the local markets well. Additionally, he or she should also ensure
that the products provided are of great quality. Consequently, managers of an
entrepreneurial venture should apply and regulate a global effort by relating well and
facilitating proper flow of information. Communication should be efficient and
effective among the organizational structures. The managers can also hold meetings
and conferences to discuss the various issues facing the organization (Morschett,
Schramm Klein, Zentes, 2015).Combining the internal strengths of a business with
the plans for expansion into the markets provides a strong strategy for an
entrepreneurial venture. Therefore, a firm should evaluate its internal strengths by

Causes Of Racial Inequality In America
Racial inequality is one of the acute issues faced by contemporary American society.
In many academic sources, this social issue is discussed by sociologists as a serious
national problem that requires the proper and prompt solutions (Hwang, J. Sampson,
2014; McCarthy, 1991; Williams Sternthal, 2010). It has been found that racerelations
in America have undergone fundamental changes in recent years, so much so that
now the life chances of individual blacks have more to do with their economic class
position than with their day to day encounters with whites (Wilson, 2012, p. 1). In the
United States, the enduring racial inequality is caused by the preferential treatment of
whites. In the works of the great sociologist W. E. B. Du... Show more content on

The major causes of the continuous existence of systems of racial inequality in US
society The sociological study of racial inequality in the United States is based on
different approaches. Sociology of race, explored by Du Bois, gives an opportunity
to have a good understanding of the real meaning of race. Du Bois places emphasis
on the concept of race in all of his studies, assuming that it does not refer merely to
physical differences of people. According to Du Bois (1980), the concept of race
should also include deeper spiritual and certain psychical differences. The
sociologist asks, What, after all, am I? Am I an American or am I a Negro? Can I
be both? Or is it my duty to cease to be a Negro as soon as possible and be an
American? (Du Bois, 1980, p. 244). Hence, one of the major causes of the
continuous existence of systems of racial inequality in US society is invalid racial
and cultural assimilation. In addition, the sociologist highlights the role of racial
prejudice in the formation of social interactions. Du Bois (1980) states that racial
prejudice is caused by the friction that can be found between individuals and groups
of individuals. Although racial groups in the United States share common views on
The Impact Of 3d Printing On The Digital And Consumer...
1. Introduction
Additive layer manufacturing, also known as Three Dimensional (3D) printing,
provides a unique fabrication process that allows users to produce structurally
complex components by the successive fusion of layers [1]. This technique offers
businesses and consumers the ability to quickly develop custom components on
demand and at a lower economical cost [2]. In 2016, a PriceWaterhouseCoopers
(PWC) report indicates that, out of 71% of US manufactures implementing 3D
printing and 42% believe the volume of 3D printer use will increase in the next three
to five years [3].
The impact of 3D printing can already be seen in both industrial and consumer
markets [2]. The 2015 Wohlers Associates report stated that 32.5% of all Additive
manufactured objects were used for functional components. Additionally, the report
detailed the 3D printing industry accounted for $5.165 billion of revenue [4]. The
aviation, medical, automotive, and manufacturing industries are currently utilizing
3D printing [4 9]. Airbus, within the aviation industry, recently produced the world
s largest 3D printed cabin component. The component produced is a dividing wall
that sits between the passenger seating and galley. General Electric is currently 3D
printing jet engine fuel nozzles and forecast that 100,000 parts will be created by
their Aviation division using 3D printers by 2020 [10]. Since 2014 NASA has been
researching the ability to print on demand components in space utilizing a 3D

The Prisoner s Fight, Patriotism, And Duty
Do the terms honor, patriotism, and duty defines a soldier s hardships and struggles
that he encounters during times of war? Defiant, recreates the experiences of eleven
men captured during the Vietnam War and sent to the various camps like Hao Lo in
North Vietnam. While there the American prisoners commitment to their honor,
patriotism, and duty would be put to the test through the harsh living conditions and
torture inflicted upon them both physically and mentally. Townley s use of William
Henley s poem Invictus accurately describes the prisoner s fight to preserve the
values as a soldier and to their country. Throughout their time as prisoners, arguably
these values of honor, patriotism, and duty were adapted and changed to help the
POWs cope with their situation. The evolution of these values provided the POWs
with hope, resistance, and the will to survive their North Vietnamese captors to return
home. Duty defined the POWs experience during their time in North Vietnamas they
tried to obey the moral promises to their military and country. In the beginning, many
prisoners attempted to abide by the Code of Conduct they were taught. Jerry Denton
encouraged his fellow POWs to stand with the code, their duty, and not divulge any
information other than their branch, name, birthday, or record number. As their
imprisonment continued their attitudes towards their duty and the code evolved.
Knowing that they would submit to torture, their ideas of duty developed as they
College Sports Transition
With every beginning to an individual s sports career, there has to be an end. Most
player s careers end after their four years of playing a high school sport. Although
many high school players want the opportunity to play sports in college, most are
unaware of the increased workload required to play a collegesport.
When a high school player thinks about continuing their career to play college sports
they often imagine the transition into college as being uncomplicated. Once an
athlete begins their career into college they are shocked to find out the transition is
far more complicated than they anticipated. One reason why this transition into
college sports is more difficult is because of talent. For example, an athlete with a

An athlete must realize that he or she is expected to perform just as well in
academics as they do in athletics. Many athletes do not consider the struggle of
juggling a college sport and taking classes full time. Although it is important for the
athlete to do their best in sports, it is also important to keep a good GPA and focus
on school. Many coaches push this because without having a 2.3 GPA an athlete
cannot play. While the players are going from only playing the sport for a few
months out of the year to playing it year round, athletes struggle to find the time in
their schedules to balance academics and athletics. Another negative effect for an
athlete transitioning from high school to college is being away from home. This
effects the athlete tremendously because this is often the first time an athlete has to
experience what it is like to be away from their family. Because college sports
require more input from the athlete than it did in high school, the athlete has to spend
more time at college working to improve in their sport. Due to the extra work that
has to be put in to the sport, the athlete does not get to go home on the weekends
often. As a result, an athlete should consider the negative effects that the transition

Task 1: Describe the purpose and nature of counselling The function of personal
counselling is to help people to resolve problem areas in their life. Counselling
provides an opportunity for the person to explore the difficult feelings, thoughts

Counselling is based on trust and honesty where the counsellor offers to client
unconditional respect and regard without being judgemental. Working in a

Compassion Fatigue In Nursing
With compassion fatigue being a fairly new concept in the nursing profession, the
urgency to gain knowledge on this topic is imperative as documented cases of
suffering are on the rise. Merriam Webster (2018) defines compassion as the
sympathetic consciousness of other s distress together with a desire to alleviate it.
Notably, compassion is foundational in nursing which makes the definition essential.
According to Kelly and Todd (2017), compassion fatigueis both a psychological and
physiological response to chronic emotional and interpersonal stresses that affect
those in the Caregiving profession. Influenced by direct patient care, nurses are
predisposed to physical and emotional distress (Melvin, 2015). Furthermore, this
concept is greater defined by Christina Melvin as an exhaustion to those exposed to

However, they are contributing attributes to compassion fatigue. Since the 1980 s,
burnout has been a topic researched and impacts three elements, emotional
exhaustion, cynicism, and professional inefficacy (Garcia Izquierdo, Meseguer de
Pedro, Soler Sanchez and Isabel Rios Risquez, 2018). This mental distress leads to
substandard care, putting the safety of a patient at risk. Additionally, nurses who
suffer from this syndrome, experience poor quality of life and compromised personal
health. In like manner, secondary traumatic stress can also exacerbate manifestations
of compassion fatigue. STS is a multifaceted state of exhaustion and dysfunction in
which employees take on an emotional strain and burden and suffer themselves,
(Syed Muhammad Imran Haider, Yaqoob, Saeed, 2017, p 314). Routinely exposed to
traumatic situations as a result of caregiving, puts an emotional strain on the nurse
causing them to suffer themselves. With this, work place environments are equally
fundamental when completing a complete study of compassion
An Analysis Of Anne Rice s Interview With The Vampire
Good and evil each have multiple definitions and could be used to refer to many
different situations involving people, ideas, products, or places. Depending on which
situation someone is referring to, the definition of the term that is used will be altered
slightly in order for people to understand the severity of the situation. According to the
Mirriam Webster dictionary, evilis defined as immorally reprehensible . This
definition would typically be used to describe an action or a feeling that a person
possesses which are hateful or sinful. This definition of evil would be the perfect
definition to describe the main characters in Anne Rice s Interview With the Vampire
.
The three main characters are vampires who spend their time trying to conceal their
urges to bite people s neck an suck their blood until death has almost fallen upon
them, but never until death actually occurs. Louis, Lestat, and Claudia struggle
throughout the novel to suppress their urges to killand battle with their evil desires.
Lestat is the first character in the novel to become a vampire. He was changed early
on in his life and will live eternally as a vampire. Lestat went around sucking the
blood of so many humans, converting them to vampires. Anne Rice writes portrays to
the reader that Lestat could not live alone, so he took any opportunity he saw to
bring humans to the immortal side of life as vampires. This is exactly what happened
when he chose his victim, the second main

The forgiveness is what makes the main character get over his struggles days of

In contrast to the two stories, the reasons why characters struggle in A silver Dish

struggles of the story. Woody, one of the protagonists represents the only male
child of a family which at the age of fourteen years old, was in charged of his

house (1943), he was told by his father Morris, who abandoned them irresponsibly
to go out to the world and live the life that he had always wanted, Morris said, I
going to move out. (1943). Woody s struggles in life were due to his father
abandon and no to his own mistakes or miss achieving. Throughout the story
Woody, a grown man now, remember hi infancy with sadness and due to the
separation of his parents, the different kinds of religious influences that he was
living under and yearn of having that male figure at home. Morris attitude was
puzzling at some point. He was trying to take Woody in a way that he wasn t under
the influence of any religion, but to be whoever he wanted to be. Woody struggles
but he becomes a man of good. Although Morris was irresponsible, he wanted to live

In Seymour Rossel s, The Holocaust, he debated about the poverties and trials that
led up to the Holocaust such as Adolf Hitler, concentration and death camps, and

born on April 20, 1889. He was inborn in the village of Braunau am Inn in Austria.

The Biomedical Scene Could Change The Medical
Community Essay
If these medicines were considered factual, the biomedical scene could change the
medical community significantly. However to find if CAM treatments are effective,
one needs to prove it. On the other hand, this has become significantly difficult in the
medical and scientific field. Although the amount of funding and users of alternative
medicineis on the rise, scientists continue to hold a strong interpretation of CAM
being unproven with insufficient evidence to believe these medicines are working
(Keshet, Y. (2009), p. 148 149.). Many questions can be formed on the topic of the
approval of CAM. Such as, why is alternative medicinenot more popular? Why won t
scientists approve of the validity of CAM, and what is holding it back? And finally
the belief that society holds on alternative medicine might be considered in the
medical and scientific community as unprovable regarding the placebo effect;
however, if people create the idea of the medicines working for them through their
treatments in which evidence is formed through the improvement of the individual,
would that be considered sufficient evidence of the

Freud Vs Erikson Essay
Freud and Erikson have similar but at the same time different ways of covering the
Theories of Development. They may be from different backgrounds, different
schools, worked at different jobs, but they both viewed development as something of
importance. They both thought that they had the correct theory, and they both
thought that they new best at what was suppose to happen between the different
stages. Sigmund Freudhad only five stages of development whereas Erik Eriksonhad
eight. Erikson went through adulthood and Freud did not. They both can make some
good points in their stages but, like any theory, there are complications or problems.

The issues that are most common with Erikson s stages are as follows, stage one,
children who do not receive adequate attention will possible develop a mistrust for
the world and those around them. Stage two, a child who can not find their sense of
self worth may have a tendency to doubt themselves often. The third stage, children
have a tendency to feel guilty for things that may be out of their control, or things
that they did not do. Stage four may lead children to think that they are incompetent.
Stage five comes with the problem of not knowing self worth. Children may feel like
they are not worth anything to anyone or that they possibly can not do anything the
correct way. Now Erikson goes into having a sixth stage which, remember, Freud
does not. The sixth stage consists of three sub stages. The first being intimacy versus
isolation, the problem with this is, the adult may end up being isolated and have a
feeling that nobody want them or loves them. What is viewed as the seventh stage,
generativity versus stagnation, may lead someone to believe that they are
unproductive or that they can not do something. The final stage, stage eight, integrity
vs despair, may have someone feeling as though they did not complete anything in
their life and leave them to be slightly bitter

John Donne Meditation 17
John Donne s central theme for Meditation 17 is that all Christians are United.
Everyone is united and no one stands alone. John Donne is adamant that no one
should feel left out or be ostracized by anyone. He wants everyone to realize that no
one is alone and we all share the same experiences; he describes this idea as no man

Review Just for Rajini Fans Why We Should Say Bad When Something Is Bad?
written by Narayan who introduced himself as a Rajini fan in the introduction.
Narayan described the main features of the plot, Lingaa , a story of a king that
inspires people to build a dam by themselves when his request was turned down by
the ruling Britons. In his opinion, the story was full of emotional moments with a
poor script and a duplicated or animated figure, which did not come across as real
Rajinikanth effect in the movie. Moreover, Narayan shared his opinion about the co

Leon Czolgosz Assassination
I think I know
I know that President McKinley was the 25th president of the United States and was
only the 3rd president to be assassinated up until this time. This was never a widely
coved topic in any of my previous history classes so I m coming into this project
with virtually no former knowledge.
I Know
On September 6, 1901 at 2:30, president McKinley was shot and wounded.
According to the Coconino Sun Newspaper, released only one day after the attack,
the President had attended a reception that was being held in the Music Hall of the
Pan American Exposition. The Pan Americans Exposition, also known as the World
Fair, was held in Buffalo New York from May 1 to November 2, 1901.
Prior to being shot, the President entered the Hall ... Show more content on

Not only was the president of the United Stated shot in killed, but the man who did it
was a known anarchist. There was already a great fear of this group in American, so,
this event just reiterated that fear. Other anarchist were arrested with the belief that
they had ties to this crime. Although we now believe that Czolgosz was acting alone,
it was the fear of anarchy that lead police into arresting innocent people. This act of
terrorism compares with what the United States is facing. Although this event
occurred over one hundred years ago, things like terrorism connects this event to
today. The death of McKinley lead to some changes in policies and procedures. Many
Americans believed that the president was not being protected well enough. Even
though the government wouldn t confess to not protecting their president, there was
still a change. When William McKinley s vice president, Theodore Roosevelt, took
office after McKinley s death, the Secret Service was in full time protection of him to
make sure nothing like the McKinley assassination would happen
The Transcontinental Railroad And The Railroad
The Transcontinental Railroad Amid the 1800 s, America was experiencing a period
of development known as the Industrial Revolution. America was in its first century
of being an autonomous and creative nation. One of the greatest commitments to this
huge innovative progression was the foundation of the Transcontinental Railroad. The
westward expansion designed to be the key to a nation building project and a change
for the United States.[1] The Pacific Railroads cleared the path in which built the
remaining railroad tracks connecting the West to the Midwest and East. The Union
Pacific Company built from Omaha, Nebraska towards the west meeting up with the
Central Pacific Company who started building from Sacramento, California.[2] This

Once the Gold Rush fizzled out, there was no more work for the people who were
trying to live the way they expected to. In January of 1863, work finally started on
the Central Pacific railroad line, the individuals who have settled in the West now
assembled the railways.
Nevertheless, the railways helped the United States financially and it represented the
lift in global and mainland exchange. The exchange of merchandise was presently
less demanding and substantially faster than the customary method for secured
wagons. Merchandise brought into the United States internationally on the West
coast could get to the East Coast quicker and more proficient. This preferred
approach for transporting merchandise extended markets and took into account less
expensive conveyance, and expanded potential outcomes of new associates and
ideas in business. Thus, becoming an expedient and productive approach to
transporting goods in the economy. Socially, the Transcontinental Railroad
enormously affected the United States. Once the railroad completed in 1869,
traveling anywhere was less demanding and more affordable. Before finishing the
railroad, going across country took half a year or longer, and cost around one
thousand dollars. After the completion of the railroad, traveling across the nation
cost nearly one hundred and fifty dollars and travel time was close to seven days.[4]

  • 2. Stereotypes In If That Ain T Country What do you think of when you think of an old country song? Is it singing about plowing the fields, find a young lassie to dance with in the bar, getting drunk with the boys and so on. If That Ain t Country by David Allan Coe tries to shine a new light on what country is and that is white trash hicks, which he suggests are forgotten people in the world. We listen to this song and will giggle at some of the lyrics or are startled by how some parts are pretty racist, but it has a very true side of it that shows that country folk aren t all classy, church going folk. The beginning of this song is an essentially a summary of what his life was like growing up in Texas. It almost seems like he tries to hit every stereotype possible such as The old man was covered with tattoos and scars/ He got some in prisons and others in bars suggesting that his father was a mean drunk and also ex convict. The next stereotype is They looked liked tombstones in our yard suggesting the old, rusting cars in the their yard that Dad would fix up and the stereotype of white trash people leaving crap in there yard is in play here. In all of these stereotypes he does suggest that his Dad worked hard to make ends meet. This shows that they weren t just a lazy family, at least.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Considering this was written in 1977 he was either talking about the Korean War or World War II considering how they got their home, with the G.I. Bill, didn t go into affect until 1944. David Allan Coe does take a shot at our foreign policy and how we treat out soldiers when he says, But it wasn t worth all he had to kill to get it. This suggests he fought in Korea because overtime it became more of a controversial war. We continue to see the essence, of pour, white trash being forgotten about because he feels like his father was damaged by the war and the government didn t really do much about
  • 3. Battle Of Brownsville Essay The Battle of Brownsville was the final battle in the American Civil War. Although it was a Confederate victory, the Union Army won the war. This battle took place near the present day Rio Grand River. It is sometimes called the Battle of Palmito Ranch or the battle on the Gulf Coast. There are many opinions on how many soldiers died that day, but the most reliable seems to come from CivilWar.com. They say that 118 Union soldiers were lost, compared to only around 6 Confederate soldiers. The Union Armys purpose was to disrupt any reported Confederate camps and possible blockades around the area, but failed when their position was given away by the crunching of twigs and leaves . The Union soldiers both white and black were forced to retreat
  • 4. Test Crt Should Be Used Rather Than Norm Referenced Tests Criterion Referenced Tests CRT Should Be Used Rather Than Norm Referenced Tests NRT The assessment looks at the wide variety of methods that educators use to evaluate and determined the achievement of the student s educational need. The focus of this essay is to look at the Criterion Referenced Tests (CRT) and the Norm Referenced Tests (NRT) usage to see why the Criterion Referenced Tests should be used rather than the Norm Referenced Tests. The learningstandards and the curriculum will be discussed to help determine why the CRT should be used rather than the NRT. Also, we will take a look at the principal use of how the two methods differ by one using survey testing and the other mastery testing. I will give my informed opinion throughout the essay. The Criterion Referenced Tests measure the performance against a fix set of predetermined learning standards. This means that there will be written descriptions of what students are expected to know and are able to do in each learning outcome unit stage in the course. This method of assessment is done to evaluate what skills the student has learned. The learning standards will measure how well a student has mastered the specific skill described in the national learning standards (Waugh Gronlund, 2013). Since the teachers and the schools can develop their own learning standards, this will help the students to be able to accomplish the learning objective performance outcome expected in my opinion. The curriculum will

  • 6. A Summary Of Medieval Women In The Middle Ages Why were medieval women looked at with disdain, and why was their freedom restrained? This is a question perplexing many historians. What is known of Medieval women of the Middle Ages is very nebulous and self contradictory. The traditional view for a long period of time was that women were very much reliant on men and rather helpless without the male dominated political, clerical, and economic aspects of society. Women also seemed to be seductive creatures that did not have self control, unlike men. However, these ideas proved to be biased, since most of the records kept at the time were written by men; therefore, not many women were able to share their point of view, since many of them were uneducated or did not have the opportunity to share their beliefs, especially because of the male dominant society. As a result, society at this time, especially in Europe, was a misogynistic, anti feminist community. During the middle ages, many works were written by men that evidently portrayed their anti feminist perspectives; additionally, women in this society possessed virtually no independence and consequently were at the mercy of their husbands or male counterparts, as depicted in medieval works such as Sir Gawain and the Great Knight, The Story of Sheikh Sam an, and The Canterbury Tales. In the 13th century, during Arthurian period in England, society was mostly male dominant, in which women had little to no power; Sir Gawain and the Green Knight by The Pearl Poet illustrates

The Water And Hydrologic Cycle The Water and Hydrologic Cycle As we understand it today we know that water is a vital resource and it is one of the most important substances on earth for all species, plants and animals. All species, plants and animals must have water to survive to sustain life. It is noted that if there is no water on earth then there would be no life forms on earth either. Water is also essential for the healthy growth of all farm crops and farm stock in the manufacture of many products for environmental growth. Apart from drinking water to survive, humans have many other uses for water. These include: cooking, washing their bodies, washing clothes, washing cooking and eating utensils; such as billies, saucepans, crockery and cutlery, keeping houses and communities clean, recreation; such as swimming pools and keeping plants alive in gardens and parks. It is most important that the water which humans drink and use for other purposes is considered as clean water. This means that the water we drink must be free of germs and chemicals and be clear (not cloudy). Personality is something every human has and is an essential element in their social world. This research is important to know if, how, and why personalities change. Different scholarly based material was used to support either stance on the issue. The articles and research helped to decipher the roles of parents, genes, biology, the environment, experiences, and culture in a person s personality. Personality theorieswere inputted to come to a conclusion on the subject of interest that is derived from actions, emotions, and attitudes. Many contemporary psychologists have distinguished five clusters of personality traits called the Big Five. The results of the research from the paper identify the answer to the question about personality. The conclusion recognized that everybody has a different personality developed by different components that includes both inherited traits and learned traits. Plus, how those traits modify personalities. The Origin of Personality: Nature or Nurture? Personality is debated over what factors influence and shape it the most. Is it a person s nature including genes and temperament or nurture with the environment and culture? Do they both have an effect in the development of a personality? The main purpose of this research paper will address these questions and examine how these factors impact personalities.

Many infant mattresses have very little padding so that you do not have to worry about them rolling in their sleep and being unable to breathe because of the mattress over their face. On the other hand, toddler mattresses are not as firm. Toddlers are beyond the risk of SIDS and more able to adjust the way they are laying. Do Infant Mattresses Fit in Traditional Cribs? Traditional style cribs are generally one size fits all. They are designed to be used from infancy through toddlerhood. For this reason, if you have a crib that is not portable, a mattress, whether rated for infants or toddlers, will fit in your crib. Sociology of race, explored by Du Bois, gives an opportunity to have a good understanding of the real meaning of race. Du Bois places emphasis on the concept of race in all of his studies, assuming that it does not refer merely to physical differences of people. According to Du Bois (1980), the concept of race should also include deeper spiritual and certain psychical differences. The sociologist asks, What, after all, am I? Am I an American or am I a Negro? Can I be both? Or is it my duty to cease to be a Negro as soon as possible and be an American? (Du Bois, 1980, p. 244).
