2. The Cardiovascular System Of The Human Body
People often exercise in elevated temperatures and maintain an intense work out to
improve their maximum conditioning levels. Participating in such exercise
challenges the homeostasis of the human body. The way that the body reacts and
adapts to physical stress depends on various components. Specifically, exercising in
the heat can overload the body and decrease its capability to adapt to the stress that it
is being put through (Nielsen, Hales, Strange, Christensen, Warberg, Saltin, 1993).
Compared to a more neutral environment, exercising in the heat results in alterations
of the circulatory system, thermoregulatory system, and endocrine system(Nielsen,
Hales, Strange, Christensen, Warberg, Saltin, 1993). Despite these alterations, there
are several guidelines that coaches and athletes should follow to allow the body a
proper time frame to acclimate to the harsh temperatures , but the most effective
practice is heat acclimation ten to fourteen days prior to the date of maximum
exertion (Powers Howley, 2015). Allowing the body time to acclimate and learn how
to handle the stress from the heat, helps with acute and chronic adaptations. Being
aware of how the heat effects the body and understanding the physiological responses
as well as acute and chronic adaptations, should allow one s body to safely and
efficiently exercise during increased temperature.
There are multiple physiological responses depending on what specific system
someone may be referring to. For the
3. Anorexia and Bulimia
Bulimia and anorexia is a growing epidemic in America. Bulimia and Anorexia can
start at any age, but is most common between the ages of 11 17 years old. Of all the
individuals that experience this illness only 50% of all of them are ever cured, and
another 6% that suffer from this horrible illness will experience death. This illness
has become very deadly to our young adults.
Bulimia and anorexia can cause a distorted image in a persons mind because they
truly believe they are overweight. In their minds they are beyond doubt obese. Even
if the person weighs only 95 pounds. This sickness has the person thinking they are

Also another symptom could be if the person is on a continuous diet and exercise

cold items this could be a sign too. People that have fear of gaining weight or
becoming fat can as well become sufferers of this illness. The person that eats a lot
of food, but their weight still stays the same can experience this problem. If a person
goes to the bathroom after meals this could be a problem. If there are signs of
vomiting or a smell of vomiting.(internet3)
Many girls worry about their bodyweight, but that does not mean that they are
anorexia or bulimia. Some of the boys and girls that have this illness can look in a
mirror and see themselves as fat, but the real picture is that they are as thin as a

menstruation cycle.(Moe10) This allows them to experience swelling of the lower

5. Nursing Timeline
Historical Development of Nursing Timeline Historical Development of Nursing
Timeline The 19th century marked the beginning of professional nursing. Florence
Nightingale was the legend behind it as she began the struggle of nurses being
recognized as professionals. It is hard to believe that nurses were once assigned to
the job as a sentence for crimes committed or for the women who were too old or sick
to hold conventional jobs. Nightingale s focus included infection control,
documentation, patient safety, confidentiality, and evidence based practice, which
seems common place today, but was very forward thinking for that period. The era of
Florence Nightingale is just the beginning of the timeline of significant events and...

However, Barrett (2002) believes knowledge is the focus of nursing science rather
on theory or research. George (2011) explains the relationship between theory,
research, and practice influence each other in a circular way. In other words,
research and theory are not based on hierarchy, but rather, practice is based on
theories that are supported through research. To that end, research and theory are
not the only disciplines that have influenced nursing throughout the ages.
Interdisciplinary influences on the science of nursing Many influences affect the
science of nursing, such as philosophy, religion, education, anthropology, social
sciences, and psychology, as we will briefly discuss here. Holt and Clarke (2000)
surmise philosophical method can be useful because it requires careful analysis of
words, concepts, arguments and claims and therefore by definition demands and
develops critical thinking. All of these essential elements of philosophy are used as
nursing requires the ability to analyze and evaluate patients and provide care based
on the best existing plan of care. Religion was once deeply rooted in nursing and
was seen as a ministry to Christ. Religious ties may not be so obvious in nursing
today, however, the focus on holistic and spiritual care reminds us the Christian
influence has not been erased completely. Holistic and spiritual care are terms widely
used currently and are an essential part of the nursing
6. Compare And Contrast Bud Light And Coor Light
There are many light beers out there in today s market that have their very own
unique taste and exquisite way to advertise their product. Within the light beer
market the two well known beers are Bud Light, and Coors Light. Bud Light
advertising appeals more to being a very social and party intended beer, Whereas
Coors Lighttakes more of a traditional stance. Bud Lighton the other hand advertise
towards today society by giving us a summertime feeling with the cruise ship and
the group of people drinking while having a live band. Coors Light keeps a
traditional look as being winter time, with the Rocky Mountains, and bold letters
that says, GIVE HEAT THE COLD SHOULDER. I myself find I m more drawn into
the Bud Light advertisement because of the season it s representing, the color, and
even the social event that s going on. Both Bud Light and Coors Light make
excellence light beers, but an appropriate choice depends on the beer drinker taste,
finances, and household accommodations. In the Bud Light advertisement the colors
is the main thing you notice. Its many different shades of blue with a hint of white
which gives off a warm feeling almost like summertime. Bud Light stays true to their
colors whether it is in magazine to even their web page. The colors remain blue like
their cans and bottles. The text within it picture are not very big but the name of the
product which is Bud Light appears in five places throughout the advertisement. The

7. Method Acting Vs Stanislavsky System
Method acting also known as the Stanislavsky system is a dramatic technique in
which actors identify as closely as possible with the characters played by correlating
experiences from their personal lives to the character. Method acting was developed
by a man named Lee Strasberg in the 1950 s at the Actors Studio. But in reality the
Stanislavsky system is the thing that is being taught more at schools now. Schools
focus more on the pure Stanislavskian system in other words a pre stanislavski actor
may spend hours figuring out how his characterwalked, talked, and dressed. Each
Stanislavski actor spends his time focusing on the character s inner life. Both of these
methods are similar but Method acting focuses in getting into their characters
emotional state. In real life actors will use both of these same techniques whatever

The first step which mostly pre stanislavski actors use is What does my character
look like? or how does my character sound? the second step is for also more a
professional Stanislavskian actor is What does my character want? but keep in
mind that Method actors also can use these too but most likely a method actor
would use How does my character feel? . Method actors are all about how their
characters feel other than appearance. If the method actor feels like he or she
should be sad they will stop at nothing to try to feel sad to fit the characters feelings
for example they will think about the time their girlfriend/boyfriend broke up with
them or when their dog got ran over. Method actors also use Sense Memory which
the actor must imitate the way a bullet wound might have felt or something
physically painful to create more of a emotion and sensation approach. Method acting
teaches the actors to be more creative and to use

metabolites, and other biomarkers of exposure and effect to chlorine dioxide and
chlorite. The intent is not to provide an exhaustive list of analytical methods. Rather,
the intention is to identify well established methods that are used as the standard
methods of analysis. Many of the analytical methods used for environmental samples

The absorbance is proportional to the concentration of the chlorine dioxide in water.
Indicators used for this technique include N,N diethyl p phenylenediamine,
chlorophenol red, and methylene blue (APHA 1998; Fletcher and Hemming 1985;
Quentel et al. 1994; Sweetin et al. 1996). For example, chlorophenol red
selectively reacts with chlorine dioxide at pH 7 with a detection limit of 0.12 mg
/L. The interferences from chlorine may be reduced by the addition of oxalic acid,
sodium cyclamate, or thioacetamide (Sweetin et al. 1996). APHA Method 4500
CLO2 B, iodometric titration analysis, measures the concentration of chlorine
dioxide in water by titration with iodide, which is reduced to form iodine. Iodine is
then measured colorimetrically when a blue color forms from the production of a
starch iodine complex. The detection limit for this method is 20 Вµg/L (APHA 1998).

11. Teenage Curfew For Teenagers
Many states are require a curfew for teenagers on weekdays and weekends. Many
students will say that having a curfew should be required because teenagers are
walking the street and could get kidnapped, teenagers would be at a higher risk of
having an accident behind the wheel while driving, and it gives teenagers the
privilege to learn responsibilities. There are many reasons why teenagers should have
a curfew.
There is many nights you will see kids or teens walking the streets at night. Would
you let your child walk around at night? Teens shouldn t be out late at night due to
safety. Having your teen rome the streets at night could put them at a risk of
danger. At any time during the night they could be taken by a stranger. There are
enough crazy people out there that wouldn t mind taking your child from you.
Someone could easily pick the kid up off the street without anyone knowing. Your
child without any parental supervision walking the streets is a great opportunity
for anyone to snatch them up. Allowing your child to walk the streets at night
could possibly put them at risk of getting hit by a vehicle too. Drivers at night don t
always see what is ahead of them. Just simply walking down the road could be the
last time you saw your kid. Do us all a favor and get your child in by curfew.
Most teens these days are wild and out of hand. They go out partying, do drugs,
and go to places they really shouldn t be. Teens will lie to their own parents about
what they are doing or where they are just to continue. By sixteen most of them get
their license. Being an inexperienced driver driving at night isn t the best idea.
Many teen drivers always have a passenger with them, probably another teen,
during any situation. So driving at night could have quite a bit of distractions
especially considering more than half of teens use their phones while driving.
Driving at night comes with a few responsibilities too. Some people walk at night,
wild animals are out at night, you always have to watch for other cars, and their is a
high risk you could fall asleep behind the wheel. Because teens don t get enough
sleep, many have sleep deprivation. Not getting enough sleep is a chance of someone
falling asleep behind the

the novel, as well the loud opposition to end slavery, Uncle Tom s Cabinwas a
leading factor to the Civil
War. Stowe unveiled American s blind eye towards slavery, and pushed to influence
social and political change within the country.
Mark, the Match Boy, by Horatio Alger Jr. is another piece of American fiction that
inspired and championed a new way of American thinking. Written in 1869, the story
follows underprivileged city boys working to rise their social status. Embracing the
rages to riches theme by working hard and being honest. Back in the 19th century, it
was difficult to break out of poverty that one might be born into. Mark, the Match

16. Essay about William Wordsworth
William Wordsworth
William Wordsworth was born April 7, 1770, at Cockermouth in Cumberland,
England. His poetry, and especially his poems on solitude, must have been heavily
influenced by the death of his mother and the splitting up of his family when he was
only eight (Kilvert 1). At that time, fate sent him to live in Hawkshead, England,
where his teacher started him writing poetry. Wordsworth got his higher education at
Cambridge, his memories of which play a part in his later poetry (Noyes 201). Fate
again stepped in when, as a young man, he received an inheritance, which gave him
the freedom to study literature. One might guess that this is when he first became part
of the Romantic movement, (Pinion, 21).

Martha was in love with Stephen, who betrayed her by marrying another woman.
Martha was pregnant by Stephen, and the rumor was that she had murdered her

me! oh misery! These words express her heartbreak at losing Stephen; her anguish at
finding herself pregnant; her shame at being an unwed mother; her guilt and regret
for murdering her baby; her grief over the baby s death; and her knowledge that her
life is ruined. The thorn is a powerful symbol of all this misery. Just as the thorns,
Martha s appearance makes it seem as if she, too, could never have been young.
She, too, is A wretched thing forlorn. By contrast, what seems to be the infant s

17. Florida Hospital And The United States
Florida Hospital has grown to be one of the largest healthcare providers in the
United States. Impressively, Florida Hospital had a very humble beginning and a
modest growth. In 1908, a small group of Seventh Day Adventists in Orlando
developed their vision of bringing health care to the area. As part of their
philanthropy, they were able to raise the funds necessary to purchase Florida Hospital
s first facility near Lake Estelle. It was a two story farmhouse that had a wraparound
porch and had once served those needing treatment for tuberculosis. The facility had
the capacity to care for 20 patients at any given time.
During the 1950s, Florida Hospital transformed its two story farm house to a
structure that was able to care for 160 patients. They were able to make
improvements to the facility, such as air conditioning, that allowed for year round
care to patients. With each purchase of new facilities in the decades to follow,
Florida Hospital has grown to over 20 hospitals large, providing services to many
people who live in Central Florida and the surrounding areas. This has allowed the
network to include many leaders in their respective fields to offer care to patients in
many different specialized areas.
The mission of Florida Hospital was developed with inspiration from the study of
scripture. Since the founders of Florida Hospital, the Seventh day Adventist Church,
were faith based, the mission became to extend the healing ministry of Christ. This

18. Legal Ethical Issues with Advertising and Online Counseling
Since the end of World War 2, the technology one sees around them and uses
everyday has grown exponentially. In the field of counseling, phones, fax machines,
copiers, and computers are all used to run everyday operations and transfer
information. Despite how great technology can be, ethical issues can arise because of
it. For example, talking on the phone with a client in a crisis situation can create a
condition in which confidentiality can be breeched. (McMinn, 1999).
One new way in which technology has been used to extend the services of the
counseling field is through online counseling. According to Corey (2011), online
counseling can be beneficial because some consumers want brief and anonymous

LaCombe s online counseling business and advertising.
The first ethical issue with this online counseling venture is the fact that it is labeled
as an online counseling program for people in crisis, but one does not need to
provide their name to get therapy. This breaks two ethical codes found in the
American Counseling Association s Code of Ethics (2005). The first one is ACA:
A.1.a which cites that as a counselor, one is responsible for the welfare of the client
s and promoting that welfare. The second one is A.12.c which states that
counselors should avoid using technology assisted counseling services when it
would be better or more appropriate to use face to face services (ACA, 2005). If a
suicidal individual goes on Dr. LaCombe s site and let s their online therapist know,
how is said therapist supposed to get that individual help if they do not know their
name? In addition, it may be more appropriate to help people in crisis in person as
opposed to over the internet.
Secondly, according to Corey (2011), many online counseling providers do not have
an intake procedure, a confidentiality waiver, or informed consent write up. Dr.
LaCombe s site does not have an intake procedure or confidentiality waiver. Her
website has some aspects of informed consent such as a statement about live

20. Masculinity In The Lovesong Of J Alfred Prufrock
Masculinity in T.S. Eliot s, The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock
The Modern Poetry Era (1914 1945) was a time filled with many new and
revolutionary poets. Of these poets was a man named T.S. Eliot, whom was
considered by many to be the most significant poet of his time. Eliot s earliest work,
The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock , set the bar for Modernisms exemplification of
Man and his Modern Masculinity. This was done by incorporating Symbolism, and
Imagism along with looking past the profound facts, and into the subconscious
(Freud). Eliot s poem The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock is written as though Mr.
Prufrock is playing a game of tennis through Eliot s back and forth style. It may be
hard to follow, but this unevenness of thought shows how the Modern Male thinks.
His inability to be decisive illustrates that it is now considered masculine for men to
think and feel, rather than just act out before thinking. This belief is a major change
from Week 1 s Romanticismera, where men were more focused on action, rather than
thoughts and feelings. Alfred Prufrock is portrayed as being shy and timid when it
comes to the women he wishes to address.
And in short, I was afraid. (Stanza 86)
I shall wear white flannel trousers, and walk upon the beach. I have heard the
mermaids singing, each to each. I do not think that they will sing to me. (Stanzas 123

Based on these quotes it is almost as if the man feels as though he is unfit for the
woman that he desires. This display of shyness does not seem so masculine at all

thought of as masculine in the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

became more than just a renowned physicist and teacher, but became an icon. Well
that person was Richard Feynman. During his lifetime, he became one of the most
well known scientist in the world. Feynman not only made many contributions to the
world of quantum physics, but was also held in high regards for his amazing ability
to teach. Feynman was known to be able to make very complex things easy to
understand. Feynman was described as a very unconventional person. No matter
what he was doing he always brought his funny/different personality with him. So
what was Feynman s life like? Where did he develop his compassion and skill for
mathematics and physics? What accomplishments did he achieve in his life?

It s so boring . Those were the last words of Feynman before he sadly passed away
on February 15, 1988. A little over a year before his death, Feynman developed two
rare types of cancer. The first type of cancer Feynman developed was Liposarcoma.
Liposarcoma is a cancer that arises in fat cells in deep tissues. The second was
Waldenstroms Macroglobulinemia which effects white blood cells, specifically B
cells. Feynman s last big wish was to visit the land of Tuva in Russia.
Unfortunately, due to the Cold War, a visit to Russia was proven to be quite
problematic. Feynman would not receive permission for the visit from Russia until
after his passing. Soon after his death, his daughter would go on to make the trip to
Russia in honor of her late father s dying wish. When word got out about the
passing of Feynman it sent a shockwave across the nation and the world. Feynman
had grown to be a very famous icon and a renowned physicist, speaker, and teacher.

22. Photosynthesis and Respiration
All organisms on earth depend on photosynthesis, in which light energy is used to
make sugar and other food molecules from carbon dioxide and water. For example,
plants and other photo synthesizers need only energy from sunlight, carbon dioxide
from air, and water from the soil to make the sugar glucose. Photosynthesisis the most
important chemical process on earth because it provides food for virtually all
organisms, not only for photo synthesizers but for the organisms that eat them. Plants
can capture the energy of the sun by a chemical process called photosynthesis. This
chemical reaction can be described by the following simple equation:
6CO2 + 6H2O + light energy = C6H12O6 + 6O2
The product of photosynthesis is a carbohydrate, ... Show more content on

The CO2 is converted into malic acid and then converted back to CO2 during the
day when light is present, thus producing sugars, while the stomata are closed and
greatly reducing water loss. Plants convert the energy from light into simple sugars,
such as glucose. This food may be converted back to water and carbon dioxide,
releasing the stored energy through a process called respiration. This energy is
required for growth in nearly all organisms. Simple sugars are also converted to other
sugars and starches (carbohydrates) which may be transported to the stems and roots
for use or storage, or they may be used as building blocks for more complex
structures, e.g. oils, pigments, proteins, cell walls, etc. Photosynthesis is dependent
on the availability of light. In other words, as sunlight increases in intensity
photosynthesis increases. This results in greater food production. Many garden crops,
such as tomatoes, respond best to maximum sunlight. Tomato production is cut
drastically as light intensities drop. Only two or three varieties of greenhouse
tomatoes will produce any fruit when sunlight is minimal in fall and spring. Water
plays an important role in photosynthesis in several ways. First, it maintains a plant s
turgor or the firmness or fullness of plant tissue. Turgor pressure in a cell can be
compared to air in an inflated balloon. Water pressure or turgor is needed in plant
cells to maintain shape and ensure

King Henry VIII Born the second son of a royal family, Henry Tudor lived a very
interesting life. His future was intended to be the head of the Roman Catholic
Church and that fate ended with the death of his brother, Prince Arthur. Henry s
majestic life was full of sports, women, and faith. The young King acceded his
father to the throne, married six women, and began the English Reformation when
he broke away from the Roman Catholic Church and created his own religion. On
the 28th day of June 1491 at Greenwich Palace, Elizabeth of York gave birth to her
third child Henry Tudor. Henry was named after his father Henry VII and he was the

A papal dispensation, or permission from the pope, needed to be issued in order for
Prince Henry to marry his brother s widow. According to the book of Leviticus, the
marriage was prohibited and if a brother is to marry the wife of a brother they will
remain childless . After the death of her husband, Catherine denied that her
marriage had been consummated and that no dispensation was required. Both
England and Spain agreed that a papal dispensation was needed to assure that the
marriage was justifiable. However, even after the papal dispensation was granted,
Prince Henry and his brother s widow did not wed because King Henry VII failed
to keep his end of the bargain ( Henry VIII King of England 2). In 1509, Henry VII
died and Henry, heir apparent, became King of England at eighteen years old. After
the death of Henry VII and the accession of the throne by his son, Henry became
Henry VIII and his first assignment was to execute his father s ministers. It wasn t
until a few months after the death of his father that Henry VIII married Catherine of

was tall and handsome. Henry VIII was very talented in many things, including
playing various musical instruments, being athletic, being a good linguist, dancing,
hunting, and a musical composer among many other attributes (Fry 95). When Henry

Bildungsroman is a novel genre that follows the path to maturity of a character,
focusing on the changes and experiences that shape this character as they move from
youth to adolescence. The plot of Jane Eyre, written by Charlotte BrontГ«, is one
such example of a Bildungsroman. The growth of the main character, Jane Eyre,
begins from her tragic childhood and leads up to her becoming the mistress of Mr.
Rochester. Along this journey, Jane faces various difficulties and confronts many
challenges that shape her personality and lead to the construction of the person we
see at the end of the novel. Gender is a topic regularly highlighted as a key

Rochester is the only man that Jane is able to meet as an equal in the novel, albeit
only after receiving her inheritance and her refusal to be Rochester s mistress.
Although their social status and backgrounds are different, Jane s presence in
Thornfield seems to invigorate Rochester. Rochester is also important to Jane, as he
provides her with the sense of family and love that she has never experienced until
now. It could be argued that Rochester is presented as superior to Jane, both
intellectually and in terms of his knowledge of the world, but the revelation of his
marriage to Bertha Mason demonstrates that in this relationship, it is Jane that
possesses the moral and ethical superiority. Jane rejects Rochester s marriage
proposal after she discovers his marital status to Bertha, not only because she feels
it would be against the law and her religion, but possibly due to her fear that
Rochester will end up imprisoning her through marriage, despite his best intentions,
just as Rochester has imprisoned Bertha in Thornfield. I am not talking to you now
through the medium of custom, conventionalities, nor even of mortal flesh: it is
my spirit that addresses your spirit; just as if both had passed through the grave,
and we stood at God s feet, equal as we are! It is ironic that when Jane finally does
agree to marry Rochester, he has been left blind following a fire at Thornfield started
by Bertha. Rochester is now suddenly dependent on Jane,

Death is a theme that is used all too often in literature. Usually when people
encounter death, they come to expect certain feelings. Whether someone they know
has passed away, or they are just reading a play in which someone dies; death is
often associated with feelings of anger, depression, and denial. In a play titled Wit,
Margaret Edson depicts stages of dying through a woman who is diagnosed with
ovarian cancer. In his holy sonnet Death, Be Not Proud , John Donne challenges
death in a way that illustrates his belief that there is an afterlife. In Donne s sonnet,
the ways in which the quatrains and couplets are set up summarize the speaker s faith
in the certainty of the afterlife and the end of death (Ardolino). Edson and Donne

In this sonnet, Donne shows the reader that he believes in an afterlife. He writes,
One short sleep past, we wake eternally / And death shall be no more; Death, thou
shalt die (13 14). This means that once something or someone dies, they wake up in
a short time and live eternally in an afterlife. In Donne s time period, many people
believed in an afterlife, so this wouldn t have been something new for them to read.
If everything that dies actually wakes up again eternally, this means the only thing
that really dies, is Death. One can also come to expect to see a large amount of
literary forms and devices used in Donne s sonnets. According to Ardolino, Each of
the quatrains is composed of one sentence that Donne artfully extends over the four
lines, thus imparting a sense of unity and development. Before reading Donne, people
can expect to encounter well structured stanzas with couplets and quatrains placed

Introduction The film The Breakfast Club was directed and written by John
Hughes and was released in the year 1985 (IMDB, 2016). The film s running time
is 95 minutes and can be categorized under the genre of comedy and drama. It
follows five teenagers, who all vary in personality and stereotype, get stuck in
detention on a Saturday morning. They are all different types of people in nature
but when stripped down and seen through without a stereotypical lens, they all have
something to share and have something in common amongst themselves despite
being so different from each other. In the movie, they are stereotyped as, a basket
case, a brain, an athlete, a princess, and a criminal (IMDB, 2016). The setting takes
place in a library and whilst they are in detention, they go through varying phases.
They start off with solitude, then proceed to share a few words, and later into the
film they start to disclose information about themselves that normally would be very
difficult to disclose. While they are in the library they start off as complete strangers
and barely talk to each other. As the movie progresses, they start doing a lot of things
that a normal group of friends would do such as dancing, playing music, sneaking out
together, and even smoking a joint together. The main issue that the movie raises is
the idea that being subjected to peer pressure and malicious parenting

taken a major hit over the last decade including Australia s wine industry even though
it continues to produce some of the best wines in the world. The report will look into
the history of Australian wine and look at where things have gone wrong. The reports
key findings will reveal a relatively unknown winery in the town of Orange, called

29. Moral Relativism And Moral Concepts
Moral relativism is a methodological principle of interpretation of the nature of
morality underlying ethical theories. It is expressed in the fact that moral concepts
and ideas gave extremely relative, changeable and arbitrary. Moral principles,
concepts of good and evil are different in different people, social groups, and
individuals in a certain way connected with the interests, beliefs, and inclinations of
people, limited regarding its value time and place.
But this diversity and variability of moral ideas relativists do not see anything in
common and natural. In the end, relativism leads to subjectivity in the interpretation
of moral concepts and judgments, to the denial to them of any objective content.
Ethical relativism often expressed a desire of certain social groups to undermine or
subvert the dominant form of morality, which was given an absolute and dogmatic
sense (absolutism). In the history of ethical teachings, the relativistic conception of
morality is being developed in the slave society. The Sophists, pointing to the moral
conceptions opposed to different nations (that is a virtue in some, condemned by
others as a defect), emphasized the relativity of good and evil (good is what is useful
in some people).
The relativism of the Sophists reflected the desire to debunk the absolute moral
values, institutionalized centuries old traditions of the past. Such an attitude to the
moral principles is also evident in academics the later followers of Plato. In

As generations come and go, I ve noticed that each generation has grown up with
different morals, attitudes, and goals for their life. Which puts a gap on all these
generations, each generation is very distinct in their own ways. With each new
generation being shaped and molded by the previous one, by offering more and
more to help them. Now when you look at my generation now and the new one
slowly coming up as well, you can see that we have been turned into a selfish, lazy,
and even rude generation. If you look back on our older generations, they were
never handed anything. Everything they wanted they had to work hard for an
even struggle doing it. In this day and age it seems all anyone looks for is hand
outs, no one wants to work hard for anything and achieve it. Everyone looks for the
shortcuts through life, when there are none. Another reason why things are so
much easier for this generation is the new technology we have available. With all
the new technology and so much help from our previous generations, it has gave
this generation a different attitude and not so much in a good way. This generation
s attitude has been infected with laziness, selfishness, and greed. It seems that most
people in my generation today is very and only self focused. They are all worried
about how much money they can make and care about only what they want, and
how quick they can obtain it. I feel as though previous generations have made our
life so much easier, we take it for

It will no longer support our living and provide our necessities due to the fact that
the sun gets older which results to a larger and warmer star that can result to the
extinction of human and other complex life, and eventually after 2.56 billion
years, to all cellular life. In about one billion years, the luminosity of our sun will
be 10% higher than what it is now. This will result to a possibility that our
atmosphere will become a moist greenhouse , leading to a runaway evaporation of
the bodies of water. As a consequence to this, plate tectonics will become terminated,
and so with the entire carbon cycle. Right after this event, in about 2 to 3 billion
years, the planet s magnetic dynamo may halt, causing the decay of the
magnetosphere and leads to the accelerated disappearance of volatiles from the
external atmosphere. And four billion years from now, there would be a massive
increase in the temperature of the Earth s Surface that may result to a runaway
greenhouse effect, heating the surface that is sufficient enough to melt it. By that
point, all life on the Earth will be gone. The most foreseeable fate of the Earth is its
absorption by the Sun in about 7.5 billion years, when the star entered the red giant
stage and expanded to cross the current orbit of the planet. It is not yet defined when
human life will terminate on planet Earth due to anthropogenic climate change and

It is recommended that all people see their family doctor routinely for check ups
and screening for chronic health problems. With so much information in the news
about obesity, high blood pressure and diabetes it can be scary for a patient to go to
the doctor and potentially face hearing a diagnosis like this. The good news is that if
you start early in life and try to stick to health eating and exercise habits you decrease
your risk of being diagnosed with a chronic health condition. In addition, having the
right screening tests are also important to detecting potential problems early.
Read on to learn more about common screening tests and consider asking your doctor
if you need any of these tests done!

Stay
Robert Frost was one of America s greatest poets. From 1874 1963 he has written
many famous poems including Nothing Gold can stay and
The Road not taken which I will be writing about. He lived in San
Francisco and sadly died in Boston in 1963. He moved to Massachusetts when he
was eleven and went to the local high school. He then continues to go to Dartmouth
College.
The Road Not Taken is a poem about decisions in life and how each one leads onto
another road, spreading into a vast complexity of situations and life. The roads
symbolise decisions and how each decision effects the whole journey ahead of him.
The first verse is about his first decision in the network of roads that he could have

He wanted to know what laid down the other road and compares the path he travelled
to the one he could have travelled.
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same.
The first line means that he has decided to take a journey on one of the roads he
was pondering about. It also means that he could have just as easily taken the road
he did not take. In the second line it means that he thought the road he took would
be more interesting than the other, and having perhaps the better claim because it
was grassy and needed wear , which means that lesser people had been on that path
than the other. When a path has not been trodden on, it leaves plants and grass to
overgrow. So he took the road which was grassy because it was unusual compared to
the other path. He also thought that the path needed people to take it! (needed wear)
On the last two line of that verse,

All season long we were hoping for a team out east to emerge as a potential
challenge to the Cleveland Cavaliers. While the east has gotten much more
competitive than in years past, with parity throughout, as shown by two game
sevens in the first round. The parity has been from seeds two through eight and
Cleveland is still the class of the east. At the beginning of the year we thought the
Chicago Bulls had the best chance of challenging them, well they didn t even
make the playoffs. Followed by the the Hawks, Raptors and Heat. The Hawks were
coming off a 60 win season last year and lost to the Cavs in the Eastern Conference
Finals. Surely if given another chance they would put up a fight and at least
challenge them. It hasn t quite worked out that way in these conference semifinals.
The Hawks have been demoralized in this series. In Game 1 coming back from 18

after a historic shooting performance by Cleveland where they made an NBA
record 25 threes. Despite the blowout in Game 2 the Hawks regrouped at home and

Few stories written in ancient times, such as the ones about Noah and his flood
and Gilgamesh and his flood, have been able to survive the test of time. This why
when books as well written as these two are found from ancient times, people tend
to be drawn toward them. Books such as these are often very thoroughly studied
and observed just because of how long ago they were written. It s enjoyable to
experience the type of writing a completely different time period was able to
produce. However, with all the praise the pieces get, comes great skepticism as
well. A major event in both pieces of writing is a divine inspired flood. Both books
also have very similar characteristics within each of their flood stories. The story of
Noah s flood was based off of the flood of Gilgamesh and the timing of the pieces

Skeptics claim that the flood narrative of Genesis is a rewritten version of an
original myth (freerepublic.com, 1). The myth they are referring to is that of
Gilgamesh and his flood. It is believed that the books could have been written up to

books is an essential step in understanding how Noah s flood was just retold from
the original flood of Gilgamesh. The most important part of revealing the copying
of Gilgamesh s flood is in all the different characteristics the floods share. Some of
the similarities are very striking (icr.org, 1). This quote is referring to the
connections the author makes earlier in the article between the two flood stories.
Some of these connections include the floods being caused by upset gods, the

36. The Nature Of Chaos In Breakfast Of Champions By Kurt...
This is not a subtle story, but it is also at the same time a story about subtlety. Some
things are not going to be fine. Other things will be. Such is the way of the world,
some things happen and others do not. In Kurt Vonnegut s Novel entitled Breakfast
of Champions he talks a small bit about the nature of order, There is no order in the
world around us, we must adapt ourselves to the requirements of chaos instead He
shows throughout the book that things aren t necessarily connected, and that the
small things in all the chaos matter. In the book he often describes things, either
about the characters or the setting, that don t matter to the progression of the story.
This allows the story to transform into a work that, while certainly not technically
the best story he ever wrote turned it from a story about a writer and a man going
insane, into a story that tackles issues as large as free will, and the nature of chaos.
Another interesting tidbit from the story, was Vonnegut s personal interaction with
the story, which came to a climax when he s sitting in a bar slightly separated from
the main characters in his book, he gave (on what seemed a real, and personal
level) a look into his head, so to speak. He said, I had come to the conclusion that
there was nothing sacred about myself or about any human being, that we were all
machines, doomed to collide and collide and collide. That is how this story begins, in
the aptly termed pre earthquake condition. The sky bled down

Jasmine Nguyen, Annie Vo
The energy source that will have a thorough description from how it works to what

invented by Sir William Robert Grove in 1839. Hydrogen is the fuel of destiny
mainly due to it s elevated transformation efficiency, salvaging, and non
contaminating nature. Hydrogen plays a higher role in the sustainability of life and
can be employed to cause energy. Hydrogen can also be manufactured using several
various processes such as electrolysis, solar energy, and can be assembled, both
thermochemically and biologically. Electrolysis is the process of using a dynamic
current to isolate water into hydrogen and oxygen gas. Unfortunately this
procedure has more intensive energy. The electrolysis process is pretty valuable
since it involves high energy consumption. The energy used to generate a current
in the electrolysis process is pretty valuable since it involves high energy
consumption. The energy is also limited from fossil fuels like oil, natural gas or
coal. The electrical charge that is tested to water will shatter the chemical bonds
between hydrogen and oxygen atoms. As a result, it will produce charged particles
called ions. The ions must be free to proceed in order for electrolysis to work. When

Active Directory Management Tools
The Bottom Line
The Active Directory administrative tools simplify directory service administration.
You can use the standard tools or, use Microsoft Management Console (MMC) to
create custom tools that focus on single management tasks or to combine several
tools into one console.
When you install Active Directory Directory Services on a Windows Server 2008
or Windows Server 2008 R2, you will find the following tools on the Administrative
Tools menu: * Active Directory Users and Computers. Used to create, configure and
manage objects in Active Directory such as users, groups, computers and
organizational units. * Active Directory Domains and Trusts. Used to manage
domains, domain trust relationships, domain trees and forests. * Active Directory
Sites and Services. Used to create and configure and manage sites and subnets. It is
also used to manage replication between domain controllers. * Group Policy
Management Console GPMC). A single console that allows you to view and manage
GPOs across sites, domains and organizational units.
Another tool found on Windows Server 2008 and 2008 R2 domain controllers is the
Active Directory Schema. Unlike the previously mentioned MMC snap ins, the
Active Directory Schema snap in is not available on the Administrative Tools.
Instead, you have to manually install Active Directory Schema and create a MMC for
it. As the name
41. How Being Confident Helps You Overcome Poverty Essay
What it takes to be the best People are losing the will to push past the obstacles in
their lives. When things get hard, they decide to throw in the towel and call it quits.
Finding that power within to survive during what could be some of the hardest times
in someone s life can be difficult. People need to see other people continuing to push
when they have nothing left to give. Who is going to be the personto choose to
survive instead of giving in? Resilience and an inner drive are key to surviving. With
resilience a survivor can push past hardships. Choosing to continue when things get
hard is choosing to not give in to the struggles one has come to. When someone is
struggling from something big like poverty, it can take motivation to get them to try...

The article How Being Confident Helps you Overcome Poverty states that, If you

as you try to pick yourself up and perform well in education or at work (Shipler).
The situation does not need to be a life changing challenge for someone to want to
get past it. Failing many times can have a negative impact on someone and can
cause someone to give up easier. Being resilient is key in facing the hardships in
one s life. In the novel Miracle in the Andes by Nando Parrado, the survivors of the
plane crash have to find resilience to survive day by day. When a group of three
people from the crash leave the fuselage Nando finds it difficult to keep going. He
says, The world was showing me how tiny I was, how weak and insignificant. And
temporary. I listened to my own breathing, reminding myself that as long as I drew
breath I was alive (Parrado 195). It can be hard to keep going when it feels the
world is twisting over itself but those are the times when pushing to one s limit is
even more important. A survivor feels like they accomplished so much more when it

Hantavirus Pulmonary Syndrome
I.Background
CW, an 18 year old Caucasian male, presented at a rural hospital located in
northwest New Mexico. CW complained of flu like symptoms including a
headache, chills, vomiting, diarrhea, fever, and myalgia for the previous two to
four days (Staff, 2014). He stated within the past 24 to 48 hours he had developed a
productive cough, a tightening in his chest, and shortness of breath. When
questioned what, his activities were prior to the onset of symptoms he stated he
was a student and played tight end for the football team. When probed further he
stated one to two weeks prior he cleaned some sheds on his parent s farm. While
waiting on lab results from the bloodwork, CW went into respiratory distress. He
was intubated and sent to the ICU for supportive care.
II.Physical and Laboratory Findings
On examination, the physician listened to CW s lungs, noting there was diminished
lung sounds with crackling. Chest X ray showed acute pneumonia in both lungs. The
physician also noted swelling in CW s chest and neck area (Cunha, 2015). Blood
was drawn with a heparinized vacutainer tube and a serum separator vacutainer for
serology, and reverse transcriptase polymerase chain raction testing. While CW was
in intubation there were lung tissue samples obtained for the immunohistochemistry.
The serum lab results showed, on a smear, there was evidence of immature
leukocytes (Cunha, 2015), as well as an increase in virus specific IgM. An acute and

Mr. Walsh, the plaintiffs attorney, is presenting the issue of actual knowledge of
intoxication. Mr. Walsh is arguing against summary judgment based on two reasons.
First, Indiana Courts have held that when a reasonable inference of evidence and
circumstances of a case could result in more than one conclusion, summary
judgment is inappropriate. Second, the jury could infer that the bartender had
actual knowledge of the visible intoxication of Mr. Hard when he last served him
alcohol. Ms. Babot is arguing against summary judgment based on approximate
cause due to three reasons. First, there are reasonable inferences that a jury could
make in favor of the plaintiff. Second, the injuries to Mrs. White were the
reasonable and foreseeable consequences of serving an intoxicated patron. Thirdly, a
criminal can be the intervening act that does not break the chain of causation
because the act is reasonably foreseeable. Ms. Babot listed four factors that a judge
has to look at when considering approximate. What and how much alcohol was
consumed, what is the amount of time it was served in, the conditions of the patron
before leaving the bar, and the condition of the patron immediately after leaving (03

45. The Sacred in Things Fall Apart and No Longer at Ease
Chinua Achebe s works reveal the sustaining relevance of the sacred to his audience
and invite his readers to consider the metamorphosis of sacred tropes from
traditional to colonial times. The mask in Achebe s novels Things Fall Apart and No
Longer At Ease is one of a number of tropes which represent the shifting of the locus
of the sacred from community to individual. This trope, and others like it, reflects
upon the way in which European influence has directedthe social significance of
spirituality through the process of colonization. Through the examination of these
tropes, one should develop a critical awareness of the relationship between the sacred
and the profane in the Modern context of No Longer At Ease,... Show more content on

The sacred is saturated with being. Sacred power means reality and at the same time
enduringness and efficacity. The polarity sacred profane is often expressed as an
opposition between real and unreal or pseudoreal...thus it is easy to understand that
religious man deeply desires to be, to participate in reality, to be saturated with
power (12 13).
Considering Eliade s assertion that the sacred is a vehicle for power in pre modern
societies, much irony is present in the fact that Modern European man, while
distancing himself from the primitive definitions of a traditional, all encompassing
spirituality, is deeply waged in the battle for the power that can be extracted from
the sole possession and revised definition of the sacred. In the novel No Longer At
Ease, one begins to see the serious implications of displaced ownership and
ambiguous definition of sacred objects and rites.
Masking as Achebe portrayed in Things Fall Apart supported traditional perceptions
of the relationship between society and the sacred; therefore, the implementation of
masking as obscured by colonialism presented a unique opportunity for Europeans to
reconfigure established perceptions of reality. In traditional Igbo society, it was the
role of the artist to affirm a sense of the sacred within the community. Specifically,
46. Aquaculture Pros And Cons
Numerous Freshwater Fish Farms around the world are helping feed a growing
worldwide population. However, Aquaculture is also a huge industry in today s
growing economy, most of the species framers raise are Catfish, Trout, Tilapia, and
even Salmon and other cold and warm water fish. Aquaculture has been around for
thousands of years the first FishFarms were accidental it didn t become a concern
until farmers started to breed concentrated amount of fish in a small area.
Nevertheless, Aquacultureis not being researched adequately to better understand the
impacts. Many of the fish that are raised are for consumer consumption only.
Presumably, the fish being consumed is not as healthy as many consumers might
think. The Farmed Fish carry the high level of Mercury and cannot be consumed
often. However, there s also Farms that raise fish for the purposes of stocking lakes
and ponds. In recent study s and surveys, Fresh Farm is creating enormous
complication on the environmental and ecological aspect. As many Farmers would
agree on the pros of will a Fresh Farm beat the Cons of having them. Conservationist
would disagree with the farmers, having a Fish Farms is destroying the environment
slowly. Farmers are not aware of the problem until it s too late to do anything about
the problem. There s an enormous environmental controversy about Aquaculture that
many farmers and scientist are ignoring. Most of them just see the revenue that is
being made. The dark truth about Fish Farms

UNFCCC
The United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) was
opened for signature in June 1992 at the United Nations Conference on
Environment and Development (UNCED) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where it was
signed by 155 States and the European Union (EU), was then entered into force on
21 March 1994 having been approved by 193 States and the EU as of January 2011.
This Framework Convention on Climate Change acts as an alliance to mediate
disagreement involving many parties and lays the groundwork for successful
agreements.
The fundamental goal of the UNFCCC is to minimise the concentration of
greenhouse gases in the atmosphere to an amount that avoids the threat of
anthropogenic interference with the climate system. As part of this goal the
UNFCCC identifies the different economic, social and environmental requirements of
the parties and helps to keep the climate policies on the foundation of justice in
International Law. The Climate change policies also included national development
programmes and are not used as a process for unjustified judgment or restriction of
international trade.
Kyoto Protocol
Five years after the UNFCCC was entered into force the Kyoto Protocol was
signed. The Kyoto Protocol is an international treaty named after the Japanese city in
where it was adopted in December 1997. The aim of the Kyoto Protocol was to
minimize the emission of six greenhouse gases in 41 countries and put the European
Union to 5.2 percent below 1990

49. Hypertension Is Characterized By Chronic Elevated Blood...
Background
Hypertension is characterized by chronic elevated blood pressure1. It can be a
predisposing factor or secondary to heart failure. In the US, there are 75 million
individuals who have hypertension with two thirds of individuals 65 years or older
diagnosed. Various factors can contribute to the development of hypertension
including renal disease, thyroid disease, dysregulation of hormones, and alcohol
consumption. The disease also highly correlates with age as even individuals 55
years old with normal blood pressure have a 90% lifetime risk of developing
hypertension with age. Left untreated, hypertension can result in retinopathy,
cardiomyopathy, and stroke with the most common cause of death being coronary
artery disease. The diagnoses of hypertension is primarily done by the monitoring of
blood pressure with multiple readings of systolic pressure greater than 140 mmHg
and diastolic pressure greater than 90 mmHg indicating stage one hypertension1,2.
The evaluation of the eyes, heart, thyroid, and renal system are also important in
understanding the cause and extent of hypertension. Initial treatment involves
lifestyle and diet modifications such as exercise, smoking, cessation, and limited
sodium intake. Patients unresponsive to lifestyle and diet modification or have a
blood pressure greater than 160/100 mmHg are recommended by the American Heart
Association to begin drug therapy. Current JNC 8 guidelines dictate the goal of
treatment to reduce blood pressure

Benjamin Disraeliance once said, Characters do not change. Opinions alter, but
characters are only developed . This quote exemplifies that viewpoints can always
have a sudden shift at any point of time, but a persons moral qualities must be
established over time. In Jane Austen s novel, Pride and PrejudiceElizabeth Bennet is
the main character who is a lady in the Regency Era. Elizabeth lives in Longbourn
with her parents, Mr and Mrs Bennet and her four sisters. In the beginning of the
novel, Elizabeth s prejudice mindset and strong opinion blinds her from realizations
happening around her. Soon, Elizabeth s prejudice disappears allowing her to open
up and fall in love. Throughout Jane Austen s novel, Pride and Prejudice, Elizabeth...

Darcy unravels how Elizabeth does what most women would have never done,
deny a dance. Additionally, Elizabeth clarifies that she does not move closer to beg
for a partner . This proves that she is fine with being alone and not dancing, unlike
most women of the 19th Century. She also illustrates how women s minds work
around men that appeal to them. By stating how a lady s imagination is very rapid
it clarifies that she understands that ladies fantasize about a future that may never
occur. Elizabeth discusses three stages of the imagination . She first states
admiration meaning once a lady finds a characteristics that pleases them, such as
wealth, they instantly go to the second stage which is to fall in love. After being in
love for a short time frame, the lady wants to transition to matrimony which is
getting married. These three steps occur is a short period of time, which is not
what Elizabeth wants to involve herself in. This provides how Elizabeth does not
believe in the common view of love being about wealth, because she feels as if it is
not a clear, absolute feeling since it is rushed since she values the true definition of
love being, an intense feeling of deep affection . In summary, Austen
