This is the final presentation given on October 4, at 5:30pm in the City Council Chambers. Mayor Keyserling gave an introduction, followed by Demetri Baches. Craig Lewis presented the work produced at the charrette, which went from Sept. 27-Oct. 4.
For 12,000 years, the Mississippi River has powered through Minnesota, where it’s scrawled a deep gorge like a signature through limestone and prairie. The source of this massive geological imprint was the River’s only true waterfall, now known as St. Anthony Falls, which receded over millennia and now graces the heart of Minneapolis. It is this unique geography, geology and history that inspired a schematic vision for a new destination park on the West Bank of St. Anthony Falls, developed by the Minneapolis Parks Foundation in partnership with the Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board, and conveyed to Park Board Commissioners on Wednesday, October 22, in the form of a design presentation and 3D flythrough animation.

Russian anarchist and anti-war movement in the third year of full-scale warAntti Rautiainen
Anarchist group ANA Regensburg hosted my online-presentation on 16th of May 2024, in which I discussed tactics of anti-war activism in Russia, and reasons why the anti-war movement has not been able to make an impact to change the course of events yet. Cases of anarchists repressed for anti-war activities are presented, as well as strategies of support for political prisoners, and modest successes in supporting their struggles.

4. There are two different ways to be a DPR park partner:
Friends of Parks
Are 501c3 non-profit organizations who wish to support the park through fundraising and
advocacy efforts. Friends can also host community events and fundraisers in the park as well
as clean-up and beautification efforts
Adopt a Park Partners
Adopt-a-Park Partners are individuals, groups or organizations that want to help care for a park
through regular clean up days to remove litter and debris and weed and mulch landscape
features. Some Adopt-a-Park Partners also improve the park with new ornamental plantings
that they care for.
In all instances, Park Partners must gain approval from DPR before making any physical
improvements or changes to the site. Events require permits, although partners with signed
agreements get the permit fees waived.

5. PARTNERSHIP / PROGRAMMING OPPORTUNITIES
PARTNERSHIP FOR EVENTS
Many of our Friends groups host 'family fun days' in the spring/summer,
Halloween events, movie nights, etc. once or twice a year. Good
examples are:
• Petworth Park
• Oxon Run Park
• 10th Street Park
Other groups raise funds for clean-ups, beautification, landscape
maintenance or special projects. Our list include:
• Friends of Volta park
• Friends of Mitchell park
• The Spanish Steps Preservation Project
• Friends of Francis Field

▪ Demolition – All trucks removing materials from site will be loaded whilst inside the
site perimeter, with loads covered before exiting.
▪ Site will be equipped with a portable wash rack station and all vehicles must be
cleaned prior exiting.
▪ Excavation – water down working surfaces as required.
