Agenda Item #3 concerns a comprehensive plan amendment for two properties, WP47 & M-MC-J, currently designated as "Business Park" but proposed to be changed to "Urban". The "Business Park" designation is for office, research, or industrial uses planned as a unified project with good access. Changing the designation could allow incompatible residential development and affect land use patterns, reducing available land for the city's employment growth. The focus of the area should remain accommodating business that builds on assets and protects the gateway into the city.
The New Jersey Department of Transportation instituted a “Complete Streets” policy in 2009, joining a handful of other states that have adopted policies to plan, design and build state roads that are accessible to all users, not just cars. More than a dozen New Jersey local governments have followed suit, implementing policies that apply to local roads and streets. The city of Hoboken has been an early leader, becoming one of the first municipalities on the East Coast with a public bike repair facility and has doubled the number of bike racks near transit and striped its first “buffered” bike lane. Jersey City also has a Complete Streets policy and the city’s Route 440 boulevard project may serve as a valuable case study in renovating state highway corridors. Complete Streets policies have multiple benefits and have recently been identified as an obesity prevention tool by Shaping New Jersey and the New Jersey Partnership for Healthy Kids.
We find urban renewal projects to be both fascinating and inspirational. They showcase amazing creativity and reviltalise neglected neighbourhoods, underused waterfronts or even entire cities. Here’s a list of 20, about half of which are just getting started.
Akurana is a urban area and majority are Muslim community. It is located in beautiful hill country, Kandy in Sri Lanaka. People in living here are very popular to business and with long history. Piga oya is a river running through Akurana city. Flooding Piga Oya is the main problem of the city. Siltation created by after construction of Polgoila dame (1978) is the first reason to flooding and second is unauthorized construction along the river edge. Climate change has change intensity of rain fall of the area.
Brian Canin, President of Canin Associates, discusses ongoing research into a model for Transit Ready Design based in Central Florida including Restoration, a major development project that is expected to include a project funded streetcar line.

Anarchist group ANA Regensburg hosted my online-presentation on 16th of May 2024, in which I discussed tactics of anti-war activism in Russia, and reasons why the anti-war movement has not been able to make an impact to change the course of events yet. Cases of anarchists repressed for anti-war activities are presented, as well as strategies of support for political prisoners, and modest successes in supporting their struggles.

2014 – City Council and P&Z expressed thoughts & concerns on land use
2015 – City Council Economic Development Committee provided direction to maintain

For areas that should have a very intense level of development activities.
These areas tend to consist of of townhomes, duplexes, and high density
apartments.
Affects of proposed land use:
• Amendment impedes on this goal of Comp Plan by providing the ability to develop
incompatible residential uses;
• Affect land use patterns within vicinity;
• Incompatibilities with existing industrial office developments;
• Reduce availability of land to serve City‘s employment growth area
