efficiency and quality of the works. In this article is presented one way of studying the work of the machine for

Abstract This paper presents the concept of a planar positioning stage based on a kinematically redundant parallel linkage. Basic kinematics and workspace analysis of base redundant manipulator is initially explained and the procedure of static analysis to predict the actuated joint torques is described. As there are six actuators in the linkage, the redundancy can be overcome by proper selection of the base joint variables. Also it is assumed that the motion is at a constant speed. A numerical example is shown with a straight line trajectory to illustrate the workspace and joint force calculation aspects of this linkage. The possible arrangement of the stage with electrostatic actuation and sensing are finally highlighted. The dynamic quarter car suspension system is considered for mathematical modelling and simulation is carried using MATLAB SIMULINK. The present suspension system is controlled by Proportional- Integral -Derivative controller. The system performance is analysed using the single speed bump road surface and the effectiveness is evaluated with active and passive controlled systems.

We optimize design of model based on the minimization of cost functions for roll dynamics, by reducing the
displacement transfer and the energy consumed by the inerter. Base on a passive suspension model that we
carried out quarter-car and half-car model for different parameters which show the benefit of the inerter.
The important advantage of the proposed solution is its integration a new mechanism, the inerter, this
system can increase advance in development and have effects on the vehicle dynamics in stability vehicle.

Inventory management decisions are an integral aspect of organisations. Inventory postponement as
argued by Bucklin (1965) is where a firm deliberately delays the purchase and the physical possession of
inventory items until demand or usage requirements are known with certainty. This is an effective supply chain
strategy adopted by most manufacturing organisations by reducing the inventory, and in turn reducing the cost
of obsolete stock. This study explores the relationship between inventory management and control and
performance and Food and Beverages companies in Nigeria. Secondary data were obtained from annual
financial reports and accounts of Food and Beverages companies listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange. The
data obtained were analyzed using simple and multiple regression models. The results show that there
significant relationship between inventory management and control and the performance of Food and
Beverages companies in Nigeria. The multiple regression correlation coefficient (R) =0.996, R2=0.990 and pvalue
=0;00<0.05 The results also show the relative importance of the inventory management decisions made
by the organisation, and the implications these decisions have on the consumer. The findings show that the three
key qualities that are essential in inventory management decisions for manufacturing organisation from the
perspective of the third party logistics provider are customer satisfaction, on time delivery and order fulfillment

Cutting Strategies for Casting Die Manufacturing on CNC Milling MachineIOSR Journals
Manufacturing of dies has been presenting greater requirements of geometrical accuracy,
dimensional precision and surface quality as well as decrease in costs and manufacturing times. Although
proper cutting parameter values are utilized to obtain high geometrical accuracy and surface quality, there may
exist geometrical discrepancy between the designed and the manufactured surface profile of the die cavities. In
milling process; cutting speed, step over and feed are the main cutting parameters and these parameters affect
geometrical accuracy and surface quality of the casting die cavities. In this paper, effects of the cutting
parameters on geometrical error have been examined on a representative die cavity profile. To remove
undesired volume in the die cavities, available cutting strategies are investigated. Finish option for roughing
and finish option for finishing are optimized to reduce the Machining time of the cutting process thereby
decreasing the cost of cutting process. The cutting parameters considered are Cut Feed, Step Depth, Spindle
Speed for both roughing and finishing, scan type for roughing and lace type for finishing.3D model and
manufacturing process is done in parametric modeling software Pro/Engineer wildfire5.0.

Filtering Unwanted Messages from Online Social Networks (OSN) using Rule Base...IOSR Journals
Online Social Networks (OSNs) are today one of the most popular interactive medium to share,
communicate, and distribute a significant amount of human life information. In OSNs, information filtering can
also be used for a different, more responsive, function. This is owing to the fact that in OSNs there is the
possibility of posting or commenting other posts on particular public/private regions, called in general walls.
Information filtering can therefore be used to give users the ability to automatically control the messages
written on their own walls, by filtering out unwanted messages. OSNs provide very little support to prevent
unwanted messages on user walls. For instance, Facebook permits users to state who is allowed to insert
messages in their walls (i.e., friends, defined groups of friends or friends of friends). Though, no content-based
partialities are preserved and therefore it is not possible to prevent undesired communications, for instance
political or offensive ones, no matter of the user who posts them. To propose and experimentally evaluate an

Computation of Theoretical Heat of Formation in a Kiln Using Fortran LanguageIOSR Journals
Abstract: The evolution of the early rotary kiln for cement industries and innovation made by man is to ease
cement processing. The rotary Kiln in which cement is burnt at 13000C to 15500C is a long cylinder rotating on
its axis and inclined so that the materials fed in at the upper end travel slowly to the lower end.
The approach adopted is by evolving a mathematical model of the system. Simulation of the process was carried
out using FORTRAN language to compute theoretical heat of formation. The exact value of theoretical heat of
formation was found to be 435.583000.
The aim is to produce a good quality clinker at the optimum fuel consumption and thermal efficiency.
The computer model is in a FORTRAN language. The simulation provides very encouraging result, which
showed trends that enabled the deduction of optimum system parameters.
Significance: This paper investigated the behavior of the kiln through computer simulations, for comparing
the performance of different constitutions under similar operations and conditions. The paper highlighted how a
good quality clinker can be produced at optimum fuel consumption and thermal efficiency.
Parametric Optimization of Single Cylinder Diesel Engine for Pyrolysis Oil an...IOSR Journals
Abstract: An experimental study has been carried out for pyrolysis oil blended with diesel used in single
cylinder diesel engine. Pyrolysis oil is obtained from tire waste by pyrolysis process. Pyrolysis process is a
thermo-chemical decomposition of organic matter in absence of oxygen. Blending of pyrolysis oil with diesel in
maximum possible proportion helps to reduce the consumption of diesel fuel. In this study, the effects of
parameters i.e. injection timing, injection pressure, compression ratio, and load are taken as variable for
optimization. As the experiment required simultaneously optimization of four parameters with five levels,
taguchi method of optimization is used in this experiment. The results of the taguchi experiment identifies that
220 injection timing, injection pressure 200 bar, compression ratio 16 and engine load 20kg are optimum
parameter setting for lowest break specific fuel consumption. Engine performance is mostly influenced by
engine load and is least influenced by Compression ratio.

The present work deals with advanced mathematical stress analysis of a platform integrated structure mounted on vehicle chassis designed for unconventional type of loading pattern. The perceptible loading cases in the present analysis comprise static load and its effect on the platform/structure by usage of simple shear force & bending moment diagrams. Deflection analysis using conventional Macaulay’s method invokes the structures suitability for the transportation. Present analysis accentuates on the design stage aspects of the platform as this research is a step in proposed doctoral study. A different type of combination of longitudinal and cross members in platform/frame design is formulated. Present design is anticipated after analysis of all possible combinations& orientations of longitudinal and cross members. Determination of section properties of longitudinal and cross members of the platform & deduction of elementary stress based on the unconventional load pattern are the fundamental steps in design and analysis of structure. Peculiarity of this analysis is the usage of combined section modulus of three members for computation of stress. Present research provides a tool that can be used prior to computer aided design and finite element analysis.
LMI based antiswing adaptive controller for uncertain overhead cranes IJECEIAES
This paper proposes an adaptive anti-sway controller for uncertain overhead cranes. The state-space model of the 2D overhead crane with the system parameter uncertainties is shown firstly. Next, the adaptive controller which can adapt with the system uncertainties and input disturbances is established. The proposed controller has ability to move the trolley to the destination in short time and with small oscillation of the load despite the effect of the uncertainties and disturbances. Moreover, the controller has simple structure so it is easy to execute. Also, the stability of the closed-loop system is analytically proven. The proposed algorithm is verified by using Matlab/ Simulink simulation tool. The simulation results show that the presented controller gives better performances (i.e., fast transient response, no ripple, and low swing angle) than the state feedback controller when there exist system parameter variations as well as input disturbances.

The objective of this research paper is to design a control system to optimize the operating works of the gantry crane system. The dynamic model of the gantry crane system is derived in terms of trolley position and payload oscillation, which is highly nonlinear. The crane system should have the capability to transfer the material to destination end with desired speed along with reducing the load oscillation, obtain expected trolley position and preserving the safety. Proposed controlling method is based on the proportional-integral-derivative (PID) controller with a series differential compensator to control the swinging of the payload and the system trolley movement in order to perform the optimum utilization of the gantry crane. Standard sine cosine optimization algorithm is one of the most-recent optimization techniques based on a stochastic algorithm was presented to tune the PID controller with a series differential compensator. Furthermore, the considered optimization algorithm is modified in order to overcome the inherent drawbacks and solve complex benchmark test functions and to find the optimal design's parameters of the proposed controller. The simulation results show that the modified sine cosine optimization algorithm has better global search performance and exhibits good computational robustness based on test functions. Moreover, the results of testing the gantry crane model reveal that the proposed controller with standard and modified algorithms is effective, feasible and robust in achieving the desired requirements.

The paper is focused on the stiffness analysis of the longitudinal arm of single-axle suspension on elastokinematic behaviour of the vehicle axle which is highly important when considering the handling characteristics related tovehicle safety.The elasto-kinematic behaviour of the axle determines the course of the geometrical parameters of wheel suspension, the toe angle and camber as the function of wheel movement during force loading. This paper presents the complex MBS (Multi-Body Simulation)model of the wheel suspension with nonlinear characteristics of rubber-metal bushings. The model also comprises force elements such as springs, shock absorbers, stops and the transverse stabilizer. The model of flexible arm is implemented in the MBS model using the Craig-Bampton method, which represents a flexible body based on the synthesis of its own modal shapes. Subsequently,elasto-kinematic simulations are performed with the help ofthe computational system Hyperwork. The computational part of the paper presents the results of the elasto-kinematic behaviour of wheel axle for the flexible arm with different sheet metal thicknesses (2, 3 and 4 mm) and different materials (steel and aluminium alloy AlSi7Mg). Individual calculation models are compared to each other and also to the model of suspension with therigidarm. Elasto-kinematic analyses are also validated by the measurement inthe testing stage.

Electromagnetic suspension system (EMS) is mostly used in the field of high-speed vehicle. In this paper, a space exploring vehicle quarter electromagnetic suspension system is modelled, designed and simulated using linear quadratic optimal control problem. Linear quadratic Gaussian and linear quadratic integral controllers are designed to improve the body travel of the vehicle using bump road profile. Comparison between the proposed controllers is done and a promising simulation result have been analyzed.

In this paper we propose sliding mode control strategies for the point-to-point motion control of a hoisting crane. The strategies employ time-varying switching lines (characterized by a constant angle of inclination) which move either with a constant deceleration or a constant velocity to the origin of the error state space. An appropriate design of these switching lines results in non-oscillatory convergence of the regulation error in the closed-loop system. Parameters of the lines are selected optimally in the sense of two criteria, i.e. integral absolute error (IAE) and integral of the time multiplied by the absolute error (ITAE). Furthermore, the velocity and acceleration constraints are explicitly taken into account in the optimization process. Theoretical considerations are verified by experimental tests conducted on a laboratory scale hoisting crane.

Abstract : The aim of this paper is to create a method for dynamical modelling of railway lifting which is
presented as a one-mass system. There is analysis of important parameters based on the numerical solution of
the differential equation of motion. Applications of this method are suitable for the synthesis and choice of basic
parameters of devices which lift railway track.

I. Introduction
The lifting of railway track has a wide range of applications: during lifting work on switches; during
tamping the track; during cleaning the ballast; maintaining the insulated joints; for lifting rails to replace rail
pads and for lifting and slewing entire track panels.
There is a well-known [1] static method for determining the parameters of railway lifting. It includes
integration of the differential equation (2) of the elastic line of the railway track presented as a beam (fig.1).
Here, the assumption is that the length l of the lifted part of the track is in-between the wheels of the vehicle and
the value of the lift y is rather small. The distributed load qconsists of the rail’s weight per meter and the
resistance which the ballast applies to the sleepers during the lifting.

The lifted part of the railway track might be substituted with one-mass system (fig.2) which moves
along the y axis pulled by the force P. The mass m is variable and depends on the value of the lift y. The
stiffness c and damping b coefficients determine dynamical properties of the system.

III. Numerical Solution
The equation of motion (16) is essentially non-linear so it is solved numerically by using Runge-Kutte
integration scheme (ode45 in MATLAB) [4] for various values for the damping coefficient b and lifting force P.
The solutions have been plotted in Figures 3 and 4.

These solutions show that damping coefficients have an effect on the duration and on the quality of the
non-stationary process when the value of the lift is constant.

These solutions show that lifting forces have an effect on value of the lift and on the duration of the
non-stationary process.
IV. Conclusions
The dynamic model of the railway track lifting gives opportunity to study the influence of the
parameters of the systemupon its behavior and stability.
