Abstract:
Much attention has been attracted to the research of cooperative automatic driving that focuses on safety and efficiency by sharing the data obtained from sensor information of a vehicle. In addition, dynamic maps, a common information and communication platform for the integrated management of shared sensor information, are under consideration. A vehicle always sends data to a server that manages the dynamic map, and the server runs applications for driving support and control on the basis of the data, so fast information processing is required. However, congestion is a concern when data is continuously sent from vehicles to the server at high transmission intervals and when many vehicles are managed by dynamic maps on the server. In addition, the data transmission interval from the vehicle required by the road characteristics differs in actual traffic environments. Therefore, congestion can be alleviated by adjusting the transmission interval of data from the vehicle in consideration of road characteristics. In this paper, a platform for a dynamic map consisting of a server and a vehicle is constructed. We have also implemented a priority processing function that sets the priority for each section of a lane, and adjusts the transmission interval on the basis of the characteristics of the road around the vehicle.
Crossroads Vertical Speed Control Devices: Suggestion from Observation drboon
This work focused on traffic audits and investigation of the vertical speed control devices installed at crossroads as traffic speed being controlled but rear-end accidents can still be found. The speed monitoring through 85th percentile speeds for various types of vehicles: i) passenger cars, ii) pickup trucks, iii) motorbikes, and iv) passenger buses and lorries (i.e., more than four wheels vehicles) was performed. Discussion and recommendation from the obtained results have been made. As an alternative choice to reduce crossroad rear-end collisions, this work introduced crossroad speed table.

In order to determine the present condition at the junction various types of surveys such as road inventory survey, turning movement survey, spot speed analysis were conducted at existing intersection of the road and necessary data were collected for completing the project. The method used for calculating the emission rates of vehicle is VSP which is done for vehicle (passenger cars) manually. Modelling of roundabout is done which is based on the BIM system (VISSIM). Here initially the existing condition of the intersection is analysed for peak hour traffic flow, so based on the traffic simulation carried out in the software, emission rates are calculated and compared with the manually calculated emission rates. So the basic idea of this case study is to check the emission rates at the junction especially during peak hours and to check if the rate exists within n the standard emission rates so that the surrounding area isnt affected due to pollution caused by the moving vehicles.

When a customer search for a automobile, if the automobile is available, they will be taken to a page that shows the details of the automobile including automobile name, automobile ID, quantity, price etc. “Automobile Management System” is useful for maintaining automobiles, customers effectively and hence helps for establishing good relation between customer and automobile organization. It contains various customized modules for effectively maintaining automobiles and stock information accurately and safely.
When the automobile is sold to the customer, stock will be reduced automatically. When a new purchase is made, stock will be increased automatically. While selecting automobiles for sale, the proposed software will automatically check for total number of available stock of that particular item, if the total stock of that particular item is less than 5, software will notify the user to purchase the particular item.
Also when the user tries to sale items which are not in stock, the system will prompt the user that the stock is not enough. Customers of this system can search for a automobile; can purchase a automobile easily by selecting fast. Here's a great example: At a large natural gas-fired power plant, where they use waste heat to generate steam and energy, they were puzzled that their boiler wasn't producing as much steam as expected.
R&R and Tetra Engineering Group Inc. were asked to solve the issue with reduced steam production.
An inspection had shown that a significant amount of hot flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes, where the heat was supposed to be transferred.
R&R Consult conducted a CFD analysis, which revealed that 6.3% of the flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes without transferring heat. The analysis also showed that the flue gas was instead being directed along the sides of the boiler and between the modules that were supposed to capture the heat. This was the cause of the reduced performance.
Based on our results, Tetra Engineering installed covering plates to reduce the bypass flow. This improved the boiler's performance and increased electricity production.
