                                     1962
The first drug information center was opened at the University of Kentucky Medical
                                      Center.


                                     1964
    The Drug Information Association (DIA) was established in Maryland, USA.


                                     1973
                54 drug information centers in the United States.


                                     1973
  The International Drug Information Center (IDIC) was established the Arnold &
Marie Schwartz College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences of Long Island University
             (formerly known as the Brooklyn College of Pharmacy).

                                    1975
Pharmacists were identified as providers of drug information as recommended by a
                 report of the Study Commission on Pharmacy.


                                    1980
  The Arizona Poison and Drug Information Center (APDIC) was established by
                             legislative authority.


                                    1995
      There were about 120 pharmacist-operated DICs in the United States.


                                    2009
The Sullivan University College of Pharmacy Drug Information Center in Gardiner
                     Lane Louisville, Kentucky was opened
