standardization of pump component specifications amongst manufacturers to
maximize interchangeability and provide a basis by which pumps should be
assembled and recommended according to application.

SPECIALTY PARTS
Don-Nan designs and manufactures a variety of specialty pump components to
maximize production efficiency, solve common operational challenges, and
reduce harmful stresses throughout the rod lift system.
The Don-Nan Gas Valve helps maintain proper valve
orientation by allowing a small amount of fluid to
reenter the pump and aide the standing valve ball in
reseating itself on the downstroke. By maintaining
proper valve orientation throughout the pumping
cycle, the pump is less likely to incur damage due to
working with sufficiently full fluid levels.
The Insert Guided Cage offers improved performance
over standard and hard-lined cages that suffer from
severe ball rattle. This one-piece cage is maufactured
using a patented process by which a Stellite insert is
placed between two cage halves that are fused
together through inertia friction welding. This cage is
also available with a Tangentflow spiral insert, the only
true one-piece Tangentflow cage in the industry.
The effect of this unique design is twofold. The enlarged size of the cage allows gas to
transfer through the pump with minimal interference. Additionally, the Oversized Cage
eliminates the need of a connecting part and allows the valves to be spaced closer
together resulting in an improved compression ratio.

The Sand Shield is a two-piece component
that is placed directly below the rod guide
near the top of an insert sucker rod pump.
The rubberized fins act as a barrier against
solids that otherwise would fall back
through the fluid on well shutdown.
The Top Seal prevents a stuck pump scenario caused
by solids accumulation around the hold-down. Once
the pump has been placed in its seating location, the
weight of the sucker rods on the pump pushes the
rubber element outward until contact with the tubing
wall is made. When retrieval of the pump is needed,
pulling up on the rodstring will disengage the setting.
Should the rubber element become damaged in
operation, it may be replaced without replacing the
entire assembly.
The Sand Diverter is a uniquely designed plunger
adapter that has been machined from a single
piece of extra-durable Monel. The OD face of this
adapter matches that of the plunger and has a
thermal spray metal coating for enhanced durability
and a smooth surface. Fluid and sand are guided
by angled ports and a beveled landing, wiping the
barrel clean on every stroke and ensuring that sand
will not accumulate on top of the plunger during
pumping unit downtime.

DOWNHOLE SEPARATORS
We manufacture, build, and service the most effective downhole gas
separation tools in the industry. These include low-tech solutions such
as the mud anchor as well as newer developments including the patented,
cost-effective, and repairable packer style gas separator.
Placed in-line of the tubing string below the
sucker rod pump, the Gas Separator utilizes a
packer to direct flow through the assembly. As
fluid is squeezed through the small holes of the
ported coupling, it undergoes a pressure drop
and solution gas is separated. Once fluid and
gas reach the outer tube slots at the top, gas
flows up the annulus and gravity pulls fluid back
down where it enters a side port and flows up
the inner tube to the pump.

ANCHORS & TOOLS
Our tubing anchor catchers come in two varieties, the Type B TAC, which
is a standard Baker style, and a more recently developed slim-bodied
style, the Slimhole TAC. Both anchors are optioned with your choice of
wicker or carbide slips, and right- or left-turn to set.
The chart below illustrates the difference in flow-by area between the
Type B and Slimhole anchors, a tremendous advantage in high gas wells.
Our sucker rod tools are manufactured in a range of sizes and
materials for light- and heavy-duty workloads . The On-Off Tool is a
simple press and turn to release, intended for use with steel sucker
rod strings, and available in left- and right-turn designs.
The Shear Tool is recommended for use with fiberglass and other
composite type rod strings that are more susceptible to damage
when subjected to rotational forces. The Shear Tool only requires
a straight vertical pull which will result in bolt separation once
the specific force threshold has been met.

DIAGNOSTIC SERVICE
Don-Nan provides downhole diagnostic service to
operators throughout the Permian Basin.
Utilizing the most advanced equipment available,
our technicians travel to field locations and take
fluid level and dynamometer readings.
The software provides fluid levels, collar
count, production levels and potentials,
differential pressures, and animations of
downhole activity. Reports are emailed
and logged in Pump Trak.
Rates vary according to number of wells,
type of reading, and distance traveled. Call
