This document contains a daily lesson plan for an 11th grade Reading and Writing Skills class. The lesson plan covers properties of well-written text, including coherence/cohesion and language use. On Monday and Tuesday, students will identify coherence and cohesion, differentiate between the two, and participate in a partner task. Wednesday through Friday, students will explain the use of appropriate language, enumerate types of language and characteristics of effective language. Learning activities include discussing examples, concepts, and skills as well as finding practical applications and making generalizations. Formative assessment includes a partner selection and listing characteristics of effective language and types of languages.
