This document describes the design process for a digipack album cover. Photos of the band were used throughout to create a consistent band identity. On the front cover, filters were applied to the photo and lighting and text elements were added. The back cover features cropped photos in a square pattern with added text. The disk tray in the center uses repeated text with a matching CD design. The inside covers feature the same text translated to Japanese and Latin. Additional photos with filters were used on the inside panels. When assembled, the finished digipack allows the design elements to come together in a cohesive package.
Last night I attended SHARE #19, a creative night that occurs every couple of months here in PDX put on by friends. A prompt is given, and then you get two hours to make something – anything – inspired by that prompt. The prompt last night was “Manufactured,” but that only made me think of the negative aspects (for those two hours as least), and I ended up creating a Google Presentation as my work. As the name of the event indicates, it’s meant to be shared. So here it is – “MANUFRACTURED”

A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.
2. Front
C o my r
This is v efront cover for my digipack, This
is one of the main photos that I have used
through out the whole of my coursework
for several reasons. The first reason is
because it allows for the band to clearly be
seen and allows for the audience to see
the band and what they are wearing. The
second reason why I have used this photo
so much is because using it so many times
will allows for the band to create a band
identity, this means when ever fans see the
band they will think about them and think
about there products like the website and
digipack and hopefully buy them. The way
that I constructed the front cover of my digi
-pack was to firstly take the photo that I
wanted to use on my digipack. I then import
-ed this photo into photo shop where I put
the filter Glowing edges. I then messed arou
-nd with the three settings on the filter to
get the look achieved here. When I came out
of the filter screen there were several flat
spots on the photo that were very easy to
edit out using the colour pattern tool. I then
added another filter to the photo. The filter
was called lighting. This filter allowed for me to put a lighting spot on the photo and allowed for me to highlight area of the photo like
the title and the faces of the actors. I then added the title, I went against the chosen title due to the way the photo looked. So I went
with this comic looking title because of the fact that the photo looked like a comic photo. This then completed my front cover of my
digipack.

producer. Also featured on the back cover is the
bands name and the songs that would be on the
album, they include the original song and edits of
it.This is the back cover of my digipack. To go
along with the theme of the digipack that I started
using on my front cover I used photos of the band
again but in a close up, and again in colour. The
way that I constructed the back cover was to take
the four photos that I wanted to use, I then took
these photos and put them in photoshop. I
cropped these to the size shown to the side. I
then put these photos into the filter area of
photoshop. I used a pattern filter on the photo
that made the photos go in a square pattern. I
then played around with
setting of the filter to make them look like they
do. I then added the text to the photo and placed
them where I wanted them. I then took the white
background to the text away to make them look
like they do.

This is my disk tray for my digipack. This is
where the disk will be sitting when the owner
opens the digipack. The CD tray is in the middle
of the digipack. The way that I constructed the
middle section of my digipack is that I went into
word and wrote the words “In the beginning
God created the heaven and the earth. I then
added the word divide. I then copied this and
pasted it next to each other. After this was
complete I saved it as a jpeg and opened it in
Photoshop. I then added the filter and messed
around the setting of the filter. I then pasted the
image into this PowerPoint presentation and
added my CD design over it. The reason why the
CD matched the background is because I felt
that it worked really well and went along with
the overall look of the digipack and made it look
like it was made by a professional.

is the part of the digipack that the user will see
when they open the digipack and pull back the
front cover. The way that I constructed the inside
of my front cover is that I pasted the same text
that I used in my disk tray into a translator, I then
pasted these into the a word document and
copied them and pasted them next to each other.
I then saved it as a jpeg, and imported it into
photoshop. I then added the filter that stayed the
same from the last time. I then pasted it into this
PowerPoint and put a box around them. The
reason why I have put it in Japanese is because
firstly it looks really cool and makes it look very
old fashioned and professional. And secondly it
allows people to realise that the album is a global
thing and is available for people to buy all around
the world.

The way that I constructed the inside of my

pasted these into the a word document and
copied them and pasted them next to each

things as the disk tray and the Japanese front
inside cover “In the beginning God created the

viewer will see this when they open the digipack
and fold back the front cover. This part of the
digipack again allows the viewers to see what
the band looks like again to create a band
identity, but will also allow the viewer to be
welcomed to the digipack. The way that I
constructed this part of my digipack is that I
firstly imported the photo into photoshop and
put the filter stamp on it, it gave the photo this
type of look. I then messed around with the
settings to make it look how it does. I then
added the names of the artist and the title to
finish the whole slide off. After it was complete
I saved it and posted it in this powerpoint.

This is my final digipack all complete and put together. This is how the digipack would look before being folded up and packaged ready
for sale. How I constructed this was that I scaled down all the previous slides and put them together. I then added a black line to
divide the slides up and show the different parts of the digipack.
