Section I: TablesTask 1: Open MS Access
From the Start menu choose All Programs, MS Office, MS Access 2007.
Task 2: Blank Database
Under the heading New Blank Database click on Blank Database.
Task 3: Choose Folder and File Name
On the right side of the screen you can choose which folder that you want to save the database in. You can also choose the File Name of the database. Here the filename is Company.accdb. The file extension for MS Access 2007 database files is .accdb. Then click Create.
Task 4: Create the Customer Table
When you first create a table in MS Access 2007 the table will be in Datasheet View. We want to create the table in Design View. Click on the down arrow under View on the left side of the screen and choose Design View.
The Save As dialog box will pop up and you can type the name of the table which is the Customer table. Click OK.
Enter the field names and data types for each of the Customer table fields as shown below. Notice that CustomerID has a key to the left of it. We do not have to enter the key manually because we created the table using Design View.
For each field data type you may need to change the property. Check with the tables listed at the beginning of this guide to determine the field properties. In the example below the Field Properties for CustomerName was Field Size=20.
You will need to make sure the table is saved by either clicking on the save icon or using the shortcut key Ctrl+S.
Finally, you can close the table by click on the x on the left side of the table. It is a good idea to keep the table closed because some tasks cannot be completed with the tables open.
Task 5: Create the Product Table
Select the Create tab and click on Table.
Follow the same steps used to create the Customer table. Click on the down arrow under View and select Design View.
For the Table Name type Product and click OK to save the table.
Enter the field names and data types for each of the Customer table fields as shown. Refer to the Product table listed at the beginning of this guide. Note that the properties for the Currency data type is Standard and the properties for the ExpiryDate is Medium Date. Save the table.

Create this form to search for the title of a video. Create the necessary
Video table (with about 5 or 6 records in the interest of time) with the fields
shown. Use any images you can find. Make the form look professional and
not be the default design. You can use themes and colors for quick elegant
designs.
The rest of the final project is detailed below. You will need the Video table
you made for the form above, to complete the project as well as two
additional tables (a customer table and a rentals table). You only need to
enter a few records to demonstrate that it is working.

Not all the subform fields are showing and they are in a different order than the one above.
Here is a guide to the steps:
Three tables are created, and related – Customers, Rentals, Videos( similar
to the past exercises).
The Phone # is the ID# for the customers table, and the Video table of
course has its own ID#. In the example 1 above, the Video ID# is simple
whereas in Example 2, the Video ID# is more realistic like V-765 or SD-351.

When creating the form/subform above, by using Create, More
Forms…, Form Wizard, be sure to select the customers table first and send
ALL the fields over to the right, then select the Rentals table and send all
the fields over EXCEPT the customer ID field, then select the videos table
and send over only the fields you need and be sure NOT to send the Video ID
(you don’t want the user typing into this field by mistake! Remember there
is another Video ID field in the rentals table that was already sent to the
form wizard)
Once the form/subform is created, you can customize it, and there is quite
a bit of this to do. Some of the features, you haven’t done before.
In design view, first add the search control for the customer. Be sure to
show the Phone # along with the name as in the graphic for Example 2
above. Then create the combo box for the Video ID. Start by deleting the
Video ID field in the subform, and replace it with the Combo Box form
control. When prompted, select to display the Video ID as well as the Video
Title as shown below. It is crucial, when prompted, to select the choice that
stores the data (Video ID), in the Video ID field of the rentals table.
Also add the calculated fields for # of Days and total. You can add these
fields anywhere in the subform you like. As you must have noticed by now,
the layout of the subform in design view, has no bearing whatsoever on the
actual layout when you view the form. This is because the default view for
the subform is set to datasheet view and a grid style or table, is forced on
the subform. But sometimes we want the subform to appear the way it is
arranged in the design view.

Final Project
Part 1 (Videos Form)
Create this form to search for the title of a video. Create the necessary
Video table (with about 5 or 6 records in the interest of time) with the fields
shown. Use any images you can find. Make the form look professional and
not be the default design. You can use themes and colors for quick elegant
designs.
The rest of the final project is detailed below. You will need the Video table
you made for the form above, to complete the project as well as two
additional tables (a customer table and a rentals table). You only need to
enter a few records to demonstrate that it is working.

Not all the subform fields are showing and they are in a different order than the one above.
Here is a guide to the steps:
Three tables are created, and related – Customers, Rentals, Videos( similar
to the past exercises).
The Phone # is the ID# for the customers table, and the Video table of
course has its own ID#. In the example 1 above, the Video ID# is simple
whereas in Example 2, the Video ID# is more realistic like V-765 or SD-351.

When creating the form/subform above, by using Create, More
Forms…, Form Wizard, be sure to select the customers table first and send
ALL the fields over to the right, then select the Rentals table and send all
the fields over EXCEPT the customer ID field, then select the videos table
and send over only the fields you need and be sure NOT to send the Video ID
(you don’t want the user typing into this field by mistake! Remember there
is another Video ID field in the rentals table that was already sent to the
form wizard)
Once the form/subform is created, you can customize it, and there is quite
a bit of this to do. Some of the features, you haven’t done before.
In design view, first add the search control for the customer. Be sure to
show the Phone # along with the name as in the graphic for Example 2
above. Then create the combo box for the Video ID. Start by deleting the
Video ID field in the subform, and replace it with the Combo Box form
control. When prompted, select to display the Video ID as well as the Video
Title as shown below. It is crucial, when prompted, to select the choice that
stores the data (Video ID), in the Video ID field of the rentals table.
Also add the calculated fields for # of Days and total. You can add these
fields anywhere in the subform you like. As you must have noticed by now,
the layout of the subform in design view, has no bearing whatsoever on the
actual layout when you view the form. This is because the default view for
the subform is set to datasheet view and a grid style or table, is forced on
the subform. But sometimes we want the subform to appear the way it is
arranged in the design view.

Car accident rates have increased in recent years, resulting in losses in human lives, properties, and other financial costs. An embedded machine learning-based system is developed to address this critical issue. The system can monitor road conditions, detect driving patterns, and identify aggressive driving behaviors. The system is based on neural networks trained on a comprehensive dataset of driving events, driving styles, and road conditions. The system effectively detects potential risks and helps mitigate the frequency and impact of accidents. The primary goal is to ensure the safety of drivers and vehicles. Collecting data involved gathering information on three key road events: normal street and normal drive, speed bumps, circular yellow speed bumps, and three aggressive driving actions: sudden start, sudden stop, and sudden entry. The gathered data is processed and analyzed using a machine learning system designed for limited power and memory devices. The developed system resulted in 91.9% accuracy, 93.6% precision, and 92% recall. The achieved inference time on an Arduino Nano 33 BLE Sense with a 32-bit CPU running at 64 MHz is 34 ms and requires 2.6 kB peak RAM and 139.9 kB program flash memory, making it suitable for resource-constrained embedded systems.

Direct costing
- 1. In your home screen go to menu than click on the HK (house keeping) tab and choose The “Trade Categories” function
- 2. Here you can add trade categories, e.g.: wood, doors, furniture… Give every category a cod and a title ADD DELETE SAVE
- 3. Then go into your menu to the “Define Trades” function Every trade is composed from different resources from material, labor and equipment which Has been defined before making the trade.
- 4. First of all you define basic trades like “Frame” or “Leaf” for doors. Those basic trades can be used In many types of BOQs because they are the same and repetitive in many types of doors. They are produced in a cycle that you define in labors and equipments codes. You can use the same resource code (material , labor or equipment) in the same trade but if there Is a repetitive resource in a trade , each one should have a different Phase that you define .
- 5. After you’ve done basic trades, you can do trades for different types of doors. Those doors trades Are composed of many basic trades. To do those “doors trades” for example, first you define a trade for this door and then click on Copy trade bottom. Choose the trades that you want to copy from and click LOAD
- 6. N.B: when you are copying to one trade from many trades, you can not have same resources With the same phase number in the composite trade ( in our example the door trade) Example: ph1 carpenter in the basic trade frame in the labor resource exist also in the Leaf resources.
- 7. Go to your menu , to the costing tab and click on “costing Direct” function Than choose you project and reference (eg :production, installation..)
- 8. This screen will open, where you can see the BOQs of the project chosen. To cost a BOQ , click on “R” for any line chosen
- 9. You can click on get trade and choose any trade already defined, than you can change In the quantities of resources If you don’t want to choose a trade you can enter the resources that you want for this BOQ You can delete a trade chosen with the delete bottom
- 10. Now you can see the unit cost and total cost of each BOQ line, and the total cost of the project Save and Quit
