DIGITAL IDENTITY AND SOCIAL NETWORKS
School Subject: English
Course: 6th Year B1-B2-C1-C2-D Level 3

Brief description of the project:
 It is necessary to study deeply about digital identity and
security and the proper use of the social networks. It is
the opportunity to show my students how they can be
also used for educational purposes. The material
selected to deal with the topics were carefully chosen in
order to cope with the information they need to develop
the proposed issue.
Aims of the project:
 Using the social networks with educational
purposes.
 Thinking over the secure and responsible use of
the social networks in general.
 Promoting a critical and sensible analysis of the
information.
ACTIVITIES
Step 1: Starting
 Belonging to the Facebook group
 Signing in Edmodo
Step 2: Building our digital identity.
 Reading the material. (schedules on Edmodo)
 Setting up your own private accounts on Facebook..
 Active particpation in the group, asking about doubts and commenting about the
readings, and videos
Step 3: In-person class.
 In class you will summarize the main aspects and ideas from each document, in
order to prepare your final performance. The idea is to make a concept map
with data taken from what you have already read and seen from the
video, integrating all the concepts and examples using Cmap Tools and
PowerPoint.
Step 4: Oral Performance (on the net and in-person class)
 Uploading your works not only on Facebook but also on Edmodo.
 Oral performance in class using a projector. (pair work)
 Debating and final conclusions
Assessment criteria
 Downloading and reading the different documents and
video..
 Commited, active and sensible participation in the
proposed activities and on the net.
 Polite interventions on the net.
 Accuracy and fluency in English. (writing, reading,
speaking and listening skills,)
 Timely and properly submission of the scheduled
activities and Final Work.

Digital identity and social networks

  • 1. DIGITAL IDENTITY AND SOCIAL NETWORKS School Subject: English Course: 6th Year B1-B2-C1-C2-D Level 3 Responsible techaer: Lic. Verónica Fattori
  • 2. Brief description of the project:  It is necessary to study deeply about digital identity and security and the proper use of the social networks. It is the opportunity to show my students how they can be also used for educational purposes. The material selected to deal with the topics were carefully chosen in order to cope with the information they need to develop the proposed issue.
  • 3. Aims of the project:  Using the social networks with educational purposes.  Thinking over the secure and responsible use of the social networks in general.  Promoting a critical and sensible analysis of the information.
  • 4. ACTIVITIES Step 1: Starting  Belonging to the Facebook group  Signing in Edmodo Step 2: Building our digital identity.  Reading the material. (schedules on Edmodo)  Setting up your own private accounts on Facebook..  Active particpation in the group, asking about doubts and commenting about the readings, and videos Step 3: In-person class.  In class you will summarize the main aspects and ideas from each document, in order to prepare your final performance. The idea is to make a concept map with data taken from what you have already read and seen from the video, integrating all the concepts and examples using Cmap Tools and PowerPoint. Step 4: Oral Performance (on the net and in-person class)  Uploading your works not only on Facebook but also on Edmodo.  Oral performance in class using a projector. (pair work)  Debating and final conclusions
  • 5. Assessment criteria  Downloading and reading the different documents and video..  Commited, active and sensible participation in the proposed activities and on the net.  Polite interventions on the net.  Accuracy and fluency in English. (writing, reading, speaking and listening skills,)  Timely and properly submission of the scheduled activities and Final Work.
