Waikong Lam is a senior structural engineer and has worked in the UK and Japan. Since joining Arup, he has been involved in the design of a number of high-profile structures, collaborating with world- renowned architects. The projects are both domestic and international. Many of these challenging projects include complex structural geometry and/or multi discipline coordination to deliver total design solution. He now has a leadership role on the 3DCAD/BIM skills in Shanghai Arup. In this presentation Waikong talks about how Arup's building structures team utilizes a range of softwares and technologies to make their designs and projects smarter.
