building block-4 (DAB)
– Long ones, produced by Mother Nature:
building block-10 (castor oil)

• Best combination of stiffness and elongation at break/ductility: very good mechanical
properties, especially stiffness-toughness combination
• Superior retention of stiffness and strength after conditioning: Highest “conditioned”
modulus of all aliphatic polyamides – weight reduction possible
• Dimensions: Absorbs 30% less moisture than PA66 → superior dimensional stability
• Hydrolysis & Chemical resistance: display excellent resistance to hydrolysis ageing &
outperforming PA66 on chemical resistance
• Surface: superior surface appearance, even with high GF content
• Ease of processing: Broad processing window, 20% lower cycle time compared to
conventional polyamides

internal	insulator	of	a	power	supply.	Specialty	
PA6	and	PA66	materials	fail	in	HI-POT	tests,	
PA66	GF	too	stiff
• EcoPaXX Q-KV	has	been	tested	successfully	in	
this	application.	Customer	likes	the	elongation	
at	yield,	and	the	material	passes	the	HI-POT	
tests
