1) The author chose a font for their artist name logo that would match the genre of R&B, then found album covers using similar fonts for inspiration. 2) Since the chosen font was not on their computer, the author took a screenshot of it and copied it into Photoshop to edit out the white background. 3) The author believes the curved and slanted style of the chosen font helps convey a sense of rhythm that matches the R&B side of the album's genre.

After finding the font which I wanted as my artists name logo, I was able to type in Tyla to
see whether it would go along with the genre of R&B. I then looked at some digipak covers
and noticed that most would have a similar font for the album’s name. So I then decided to
use the same font, to see how it
would look all together.
Since the font wasn’t on the
computer, I had to screen shot
the font with the words I wanted,
and then copied onto Photoshop
as an image. This way I could edit
separately in terms of getting rid
of the white background since it
would look completely
unprofessional. To this I copied
the text on top a white
background and duplicated it.
With the second layer I used the
magic wand tool to get rid of the entire white colour surrounding the text. As my front cover
has mainly dark colours, I want the title to be located; I had to make sure that there were
completely no white areas around the text and so zooming in came in handy.
I thought the font would be a good mqtch for the R&B sidw of the album’s genre as the
curved edges and slightly slanted words would he,p the aidinece to connote a sense of
rhythm in the songs. The words ‘one & only’ can not only be bleneded eith the connotation
of love and emption, but coulx also allow the audonce to connote the Hip Hop side of th
genre, as the album title also sounds like a bold and powerful.
