Information on the Promotional Poster
The information that I will be include on the promotional poster will be more
informative fro the audience’s sake. The text on the poster will include: release date
of the album, the artist’s name, title of the digipak, production companies, some
would include ratings from other media companies along with featuring hit since. At
the bottom of the poster social media addresses could be advertised in order to
contact either the production company or even the artist typical social media
accounts, such as Facebook, Twitter and email address.
When typing the text onto the poster, I had to ensure that the audience would also
be able to read it easily. This therefore caused me to position the text towards the
bottom of the poster. This is because the artist is wearing a black top and so would
contrast the white writing
making it easier to read.
When it came to positioning
the artist’s name, I was a bit
confused as to where it
should be place. This is
because also most all
posters would include centre
text, but when I would place
her name at the top of the
poster I thought that it just
didn’t suit. I think that the
only way in which this would
look mice would be if her
name was longer and so
could stretch across the
whole top of the poster.
What I could so is to try
stretching the artist’s name to see what it will appear like and so the top part of the
poster won’t look so bare, since all the text is located towards the bottom.
