Diego Rivera
- 1. THE MAN AND THE BRUSH One of my favorite painter is Diego María Concepción Juan Nepomuceno Estanislao de la Rivera y Barrientos Acosta y Rodríguez, better known as … “Diego Rivera”
- 2. He was born in Guanajuato 8th December 1886. His interest in art became when he was a child, and he demostrated his artistic talent early too. At the age of ten, his parents moved to México, where he got a student grant from the goverment and studied at the Academia de Bellas Artes de San Carlos up to 1902. There he was influenced by José María Velazco. He studied for fifteen years, since 1907 up to 1922 in several countries from Europe, especially Spain, France and Italy.
- 3. Rivera was a politically committed artist, he reflected his commitment to the socialist cause in his own murals and was one of the founder of the Mexican Communist Party.
