Interpersonal skills are the skills we use to interact with others and include communication skills like listening. They are important in business, relationships, and social settings as they increase productivity and help control emotions. Developing interpersonal skills involves learning to listen, be respectful of others, and compromise to resolve conflicts. Strong interpersonal skills are the foundation for healthy relationships throughout life.
