construction of new Salwa roads which contains 4 SPU intersections.

Project Description Reconstruction, Rehabilitation and Maintenance of Al Waab Street in Doha-Qatar. Al Waab Street is classified as primary road according to QHDM. The project is
about 6.5 Km length with 64m right of way. The existing roundabouts names are Al Bustan R/A, Wholesale R/A, Sports City R/A, Carrefour R/A and Al Manaseer
R/A (total 5 roundabouts). At Hyatt Plaza the new 4-legs signalized intersection is required to replace existing right in/out. The existing roundabouts along Al Waab
Street shall be converted to 4-legs signalized intersections. Service roads and geometry of the intersections should be studied and modified accordingly to suit the
road user’s requirements. Surface water drainage system is required for the whole road and treated sewer effluent system is also required. Foul sewer connection
is required at one roundabout only.

Project: Doha Expressway
Project Description The Doha Expressway is part of a strategic plan to modernize transportation for Greater Doha. These major new highway corridors link through the suburbs of
Qatar’s capital city with easy access to the new and old airports, the industrial area, and other major highway arteries such as Salwa Road, Dukhan Road, and
North Road.
Parsons performed the initial concept study for a 22-km alignment that was expanded to 90 km with 39 grade-separated interchanges to serve future
development and population growth. This project took into consideration many factors in developing the final alignment for the upgraded expressway, including
but not limited to cost, traffic flow, existing right-of-way, land acquisition, utility relocation, and overall plans for the future transportation network. The project’s 13

Project Description The Wakrah Bypass (Project 15) is a 12-km major North-South Expressway with 5 main interchanges connecting to the Wakra-Mesaieed Road, just southwest of
Wakrah. The main road consisted of a 10-lane section (5 lanes in each direction) with the provision for a future additional of two more lanes in each direction
(totaling to a 14-lane section).
Duty As a Highway Design Engineer,
1. Prepare the drawings and reports related to highway geometric design for all stages (Preliminary, Detailed and Tender) which include:
a. Horizontal and vertical alignment b. Cross sections, c. Grading,
d. Traffic Signage and Marking, e. Traffic Signal details, f. Construction details
2. Prepare the Pavement structure calculations of the pavement design based on AASHTO and QHDM,
3. Land acquisition Drawings to be provided

Project: Education City – Dukhan Road
Project Description Education City is divided into North and South Campuses by Dukhan Highway, which runs approximately east-west and was being upgraded to accommodate the
demand by the substantial development which generates significant amount of traffic.
The Major task was
Use the technical specifications developed to develop conceptual design for each intersection within the Education city campus and on the external road network.
Discuss Draft conceptual plans with relevant stakeholders and Authorities and feed comments back to design team.
Revise Draft conceptual Design plans after input from relevant stakeholders and Authorities

Project Description The project Scope of Work called for the perpetration of preliminary design, detailed design, and tender documents for the construction of approximately 19km of
new freeway, extending from the future Inner Orbital Road (Interchange 32) to Al Matar Street (Interchange 27) and the New Doha International Airport (NDIA). It
was defined as the East West Corridor portion of the Doha Expressway system, and includes Projects 10 and 11 of the Doha Expressway Program. It is intended
to connect the western portions of the Greater Doha Area with the NDIA. The Project included five through lanes in each direction, with auxiliary and Collector-
Distributor Roads as needed. It also included space to accommodate two additional lanes in each direction in the future.
