Verizon SWOT Analysis This paper is to decide whether to invest in a company. The company I have
chosen is Verizon Communication. I will conduct a SWOT analysis define the elements of the SWOT
analysis, and identify the most relevant parts of the analysis. I will then identify Verizon s
stakeholders, both internal and external and describe the stakeholders needs and wants. Finally I will
discuss how Verizon is fulfilling the stakeholders wants and needs.

The two companies are locked in a market share grudge match. This almost dead heat competition can
leave the door for the smaller competitors like T Mobile and Sprint to come in with small possible
innovation to unseat Verizon. Also government regulations and rulings have impacted Verizon s
growth. Earlier this year the FCC rejected Verizon s merger with T Mobile (Kirby, 2012).
Relevant Issues The areas that are the most relevant to the decision to invest would be Verizon s
growing 4GLTE network and their limited international reach. The 4GLTE network shows that
Verizon is committed to future growth. International markets are huge opportunities for expansion and
while a large risk, can be a big section for Verizon.
Verizon Stakeholders Verizon Communications stakeholders fall into two categories, internal and
external. Verizon internal stakeholders are their employees. Verizon s external stakeholders are
customers and investors.
Internal Wants and Needs Verizon s employees wants and needs are a high priority for the company.
Verizon asked an independent research firm to poll people from a wide range of Verizon s
organization. The results were very good. According to Verizon s website (2012) About 4 in 10
consider Verizon s CR programs to be excellent; 8 in 10 consider them to be excellent or good.

One of my favorite authors, who became a Christian during his own journey of the soul, was M. Scott
Peck. The title of one of his books is, People of the Lie . Not only does Trump belong to the people of
The Lie, he embodies it. When people say they like Donald Trump because, He s genuine , they are
correct. He is genuinely false. He is genuinely disingenuous. There is a segment of sick individuals
genuinely pathological. Can something false, be genuine? Absolutely. People who live and practice
deception, are not just deceptive, they become genuine deceivers. They start believing their own lies.

Lord George Gordon Byron was most notorious for his love affairs within his family and with
Mediterranean boys. Since he had problems such as incest and homosexuality, he did not mind writing
about his love for his cousin in She Walks in Beauty . Byron wrote the poem after he left his wife and

She Walks in Beauty starts off from a traditional picture of a lady as fair and bright. It links with the
brightness of daylight, in its comparison of the mistress to the night. The distinctive quality of the
poem derives not from any departure from the norm but from a graceful elaboration of the
conventions of compliment (Seifter, 82). Avoiding unoriginal or obvious similies, Byron uses
metaphors which expresses the idea of a quiet and slight glow. The mistress like the night/ Of
cloudless climes and starry skies (ll 1 2), not pitch dark but glimmering with a diffused light (Seifter,
82). She is like a portrait in chiaroscuro , her face is copied through an interaction of light and shadow.

Ascorbic acid concentrations were determined by iodometric titrations of mango juice after being
exposed to increased heat for different durations of time, 3 minutes and 5 minutes, to determine if the
duration of heating of a juice sample increases the rate of decomposition of Ascorbic acid. Results
showed that ascorbic acid concentrations after being exposed to increased heat for 5 minutes were
lowest. This demonstrates that an increased exposure to heat increases the rate of ascorbic acid
degradation.
Introduction:
Ascorbic acid, better known as Vitamin C, is a water soluble vitamin that is important for the well
being of humans and has the ability to inactivate radical compounds (Righetto and Netto, 2006).
Ascorbic acid is a cofactor that is present in many enzymatic reactions that occur during biological
processes such as digestion, absorption, anti carcinogenicity, collagen formation, cataract prevention
and detoxification (Vikram et al, 2004). Processing of fruits, into fruit juice, often involves a form of
heat treatment which reduces the nutritional (vitamin C) content of the product (Mercali et al, 2012).
Therefore, the purpose of this experiment was to investigate how prolonged exposure to heat leads to
an increased degradation of ascorbic acid in mango juice. The juice was exposed to three treatments;
0, 3 and 5 minutes of being placed in a boiling water hot bath, and the concentration of ascorbic acid
was determined via titration with potassium iodate.
