Semantic-based Segmentation and Annotation of 3D Models

National population projections from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) provide consistent projections across geographic areas but may not fully reflect local conditions, while local projections can better incorporate local knowledge and policy impacts. Both sources are useful, though local projections are more accurate for short-term planning at the cost of consistency, so they complement each other and using both can help resource planning.

(1) Estácio Participações is a large for-profit higher education company in Brazil with over 500,000 students across 90 campuses and 170 distance learning centers.
(2) After an intense expansion period that culminated in its IPO in 2007, Estácio undertook a turnaround from 2008-2010 to improve operations and academic quality. This included implementing a shared services center and new academic model.
(3) Since the turnaround, Estácio has delivered strong top-line growth and efficiency gains while also improving student and employee satisfaction surveys significantly. The company is now in a different stage with a more diversified geographic presence and larger distance learning business.
