HIGHLIGHTS
Greatly reduced the amount of Worker’s Compensation cases from over 100 at time of hire to less than 10 in
2015. Outcome of working closely with the Worker’s Comp Case Manager that was part of the HR team and
seeking opportunities to remove repeat cases from the workforce whenever every the opportunity arose.
Was able to develop positive relations with union leadership while still prevailing in the vast majority of
arbitration decisions. Due to the preventative approach of having a thorough review and extensive, detailed
documentation prior to any actions being taken as well as finding common ground with union leadership on
certain issues.
Provided oversight of the former facility (Erie County Home) closure in regards to Human Resources activities.
Manual review of over 70 years of Human Resources files and determining what should be archived for both
legal and historical purposes.
Developed staffing plan for new facility (Terrace View LTC). Developed a staffing plan for all departments while
maintaining adherence to maximum FTE’s allowed.
Developed several new job descriptions for new facility due to change in care model. Job Descriptions were in
compliance with provisions in union contracts as well as NYS Civil Service regulations.
Facility-lead in converting manual time and attendance system to Kronos timekeeping. This enabled more
timely recognition and reporting of absentee problems.
