1) Crop management involves growing plants and animals for food, clothing, and other products, with crops referring to plants of the same kind grown on a large scale. 2) Agricultural practices are a series of activities performed by farmers in a particular sequence over time for crop growth, including ploughing, leveling, applying fertilizers, seed selection and sowing, irrigation, weeding, harvesting, and storage. 3) Ploughing involves loosening and turning the soil, which aerates it and helps mix fertilizers while allowing roots to breathe and bringing nutrients to the top.

2. Agricultural Practices. For growing crops, farmers perform a series of activities, in a particular sequence, over a period of time, These activities is known as agricultural practices. 3. Ploughing. The process of loosening and turning the soil is called Ploughing or tilling. This is very important for the crops:1.) It helps in the aeration of the soil.2.) It helps the soil to mix well with the fertilizers.3.) It helps the root to breathe well as the soil is loosened.4.) It helps in bringing nutrient-rich soil to the top.

4. LevellingEven after ploughing, big lumps of soil may remain in the field, These are crushed using wooden or iron planks, and the process is known as levelling.

5. Applying Fertilizers. When crops are grown in field , they absorb nutrients from the soil. After some days the soil may turn infertile and the next seed planted may not be able to get the proper amount of nutrients. There are two types of fertilizers: Natural and Chemical fertilizers. Natural Fertilizers are obtained from natural matter. Chemical fertilizers are made from chemicals.Hence, Natural fertilizers are more preferable than chemical fertilizers.

6. Selection and sowing of seeds.Selecting good quality , healthy seeds is the next important part of crop production. After the seeds have been selected, they need to be sown in the field. Sowing is the process of placing seeds in the soil.
