The Academic Calendar Of The Philippines Essay
John Ashley N. Capellan S10 24 October 2016
The academic calendar in the Philippines should be reverted back to June
Definition of Academic calendar Oxford dictionary defines the term academic calendar as the
schedule of events occurring in an academic year. This includes term times, examination dates, school
activities and many others.
A Glimpse of the Current Situation, The Policy, and Objectives of this Paper The Philippines, which is
a member of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), is the only country that follows
the June March academic calendar, after Thailand shifted its academic calendar last 2011. In order for
the universities and schools to become global, they will change their calendars from June March to
August May (for some universities, other universities choose September June). This is not only to
respond to the competencies for the international market, but also to maximize the opportunities in the
ASEAN. This policy argues that the academic calendar in the Philippines should be reverted back to
June March calendar. Implementation of this policy will ensure the independence and will give way
towards good quality in the academic standards of the country in relation to the needs of the people.
The people affected in this policy are the administrators, professors, teachers, staff, students, parents,
and prospective foreign academic investors. The main objective of this paper is to explain why the

What Is A Personal Code Of Ethics
The principles set by an individual in order to promote good performance in his or her career is
referred to as personal code of ethics. These ethics can be linked to two contexts; the business ethics
and the personal ethics. The first governs an individual s relationship with his/ her colleagues and the
other is an individual guide for effective performance of his/her duties. My personal values help to
distinguish what is right from what is wrong and thus, determine my daily behaviors. Also, my
education and parental background have contributed to the development of my core personal values
some of which are: Obedience, Respect, Truth telling, Accountability, Reliability and Integrity. These
values have set some approaches to determining

Hepatitis A Virus (HCV)
Hepatitis is the swelling and inflammation of the liver. It can be acute meaning lasting less than six
months or it can be chronic last persisting longer than six months. Some of the symptoms of hepatitis
is jaundice, which causes a yellowing of the skin and eyes, fatigue, abdominal pain, loss of appetite,
nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, low grade fever, headache. However, there are five hepatotropic viruses
hepatitis A virus (HAV), hepatitis B virus (HBV), hepatitis C virus (HCV), Hepatitis D virus (HDV),
hepatitis E virus (HEV).
In this case study, I believe that Thomas is experiencing hepatitis A (HAV). His symptoms includes
mild jaundice of the sclera and skin, abdominal tenderness with hepatomegaly, as well as dark yellow
urine. In hepatitis

William Shakespeare Mentorship Essay
Shakespeare: A Question of Authorship
For centuries scholars have been examining the question whether William Shakespeare wrote all the
work that has been credited to him. In his short 52 years of life, he is said to have authored 154
sonnets, two epic poems, and 38 five act plays. Following the death of Shakespeare, many scholars
began researching information that may have proven why Shakespeare could not have been the
primary author or the author at all for many of these works. Four theories as to why Shakespeare could
not have written all the work that has been credited to him include: his limited education as an
individual of common birth; the shear difficulty and near impossibility for one individual to write so
many varied pieces, not ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Some believe that Queen Elizabeth I, wrote works attributed to Shakespeare because she devoted
herself to the study of the classical period and enjoyed theatrics. According to Sir Roger Naunton,
Queen Elizabeth translated one of the tragedies of Euripides from Greek to English for her own
amusement (Brown). Queen Elizabeth would be a good candidate because she had the best schooling,
understand royal court life, and a lot of theater as well as translation. During her time it was unlikely
to have a woman writer and Elizabeth actually did write other literary poems found in her possession (

Electronic Cheques Are Electronic Copies Of A Regular...
Electronic cheques are electronic copies of a regular cheque. You are only able to pay with an
electronic cheque by sending an e mail of it to pay for the item you want. Electronic cheques are not
the most common method of payment for customers as they are often sent to businesses and
companies although they are able to be sent from person to person through a site such as eBay.
Electronic cheques are also signed off digitally by the person/business receiving the cheque to confirm
the receiving of the cheque.
Electronic cheques allow users of e commerce to pay with an electronic cheque, as an alternative
payment option rather than using a credit or debit card to purchase goods online. Electronic cheques
are more common in the US than in the UK, where credit and debit cards are used by the masses.
Electronic cheques give business, universities, private companies and personal online sellers the
ability to let their customer make an online payment by e mailing their cheque to the business/person
so they have their payment for their product. E commerce has allowed for this new method of
payment that has never been used previously by the public and now adds a new type of convenient
payment method for non credit/debit card users and customers who prefer not to give their bank
details to PayPal or another online banking account.
Electronic cheques however have their negatives, such as the time in which it takes for the transaction
to take place. It can take up to a couple of days

The Effects Of Climate Change And Variability Essay
Abstract
Climate change and variability poses a major challenge to current and future productivity of major
crops. During the last century, there has been a rapid increase in various greenhouse gas emissions,
leading to warmer temperatures, drought stress, and increased exposure to ultraviolet B radiation. At
the present rate of population increase and green house gas emissions it is predicted that future climate
will be warmer and drier, and there will be more occurrences of short episodes of extreme events of
various stresses. Crops often exposed to short episodes of various abiotic stresses or its combination
during its critical period of growth stages can limit its yield potential. Understanding of impact of
climate change drivers and climate variability will be critical in developing crop management
strategies to combat negative effect of climate change and variability. This review provides an
overview of the influences of elevated carbon dioxide, high temperature stress, drought stress,
elevated UV B radiation and their interaction on various physiological, growth and yield processes of
various crops. Elevated carbon dioxide will increase crop yield in C3 plants under optimum growth
conditions. However, under high temperature, drought and UV B stress conditions there will be very
limited or no benefits of elevated CO2 on grain yield. It is predicted that global mean surface air
temperatures will increase in the range of 1.5 to 4.5°C by end of this century. Similarly,

Landscape Analysis and Art Appreciation Essay
We recently visited three different Museums the Titanic in Pigeon Forge, TN, the Frist Center for the
Visual Arts in Nashville, TN, and the Museum of Arts in Huntsville, AL. It was an opportunity to
discover and experience the wonders of art through my child s eye. Each place allowed us to step back
in time, create a masterpiece and admire the many different styles of art on display. On our vacation to
Pigeon Forge, TN we visited the Titanic. The titanic is known as the Ship of Dreams a great luxury
ship that sailed at noon on April 10, 1912 from Southampton, England. Even though the Titanic was
touted as unsinkable , four days later, the dreams and aspirations of both designers and passengers

Millet s picture Remembrance of Days at Abbot is on display at the Pigeon Forge, TN s Titanic
museum. Millet combines historical imagery, references to the daily flow of events, and personal
musings to create works that respond to his inner soul. Remembrance of Days at Abbot is a reflection
of a magical medieval grange of his old studio and home founded in 1880. Abbot s Grange is nestled
in the lea of Broadway hill, medieval monastic manor house stands in over eight acres of ground at the
center of Broadway, Worcestershire one of the most beautiful villages in the Cotswolds. His painting
instills a warm summer feeling, the background is fairly bright, with the a medieval grange set to the
left and workers gleaning seeds of wheat, or some other plants from the fields. Rich blues in the sky
with powerful formations of clouds are accented with the light that touches Abbot s Grange and the
workers. There are focus points, time and motion, balance, scale and proportion, and unity all within
Millet s painting. His landscapes are rich and full of enlightenment. Millet often uses his paintings to
connect the highest levels of socially society with his art, yet in the Remembrance of Days at Abbot he
focuses on the workers in the field near his studio. Millet will be remembered through his heroics
aboard the RMS Titanic, he was last seen helping women and children into lifeboats. His body

Climate Change is the significant change in the climate and distribution of weather patterns on Earth
ranging from the last decade to millennia earlier.
2) Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change

Without this layer of gases the Earth would be too cold to be inhabited, perhaps 20 degrees cooler than
now. But, then amount of gases in this layer must remain constant. Even a slight increase could have
drastic results. Many people believe that a one degree increase in the temperature will not cause much
harm. The truth is with every degree of increase in temperature a 100 more wildlife species are put in
danger of extinction. Numerous experiments and studies prove that an increased level of greenhouse
gases, mainly carbon dioxide, is causing climate change and causing it fast.
2) Human Activities
A) Burning of fossil fuels This is the most prominent and deadly source of climate change. Burning of
fossil fuels can release greenhouse gases ranging from carbon dioxide to ammonia. With massive
industrialization currently going on, the amount of fossil fuels burned is increasing. Transport and
heating are also major energy sources. Almost 7 giga tonnes of Carbon dioxide is emitted per year. In
the U.K three fourths of energy produced comes from fossil fuels. Mineral fuels like petroleum and
coal are major sources of energy. In the last 150 years more than 45 Billion tonnes of carbon dioxide
has been emitted .The most problematic factor is that in the last decade; there has been no slowdown
in carbon emissions.
B) Poor use of land Plants are the only natural purifiers of air and also the most abundant. But, many

Noah Compare And Contrast Essay
In this essay I will compare and contrast the movie Noah and the bible references of Noah in Genesis
5 10. Sometimes when you read a book and then watch a movie about it, it s completely different. But
in the movie Noah and in the bible it basically follows his life the same, there aren t really any
differences. In the movie it describes about his life and his three sons Shem, Ham, and Japheth. And in
the bible it describes about his life and three sons.
Most importantly, in the movie Noah as young boy he witnesses his father Lamech get killed by Tubal
Cain. And years later as a young man Noah is living with his wife Naameh, and three sons Shem,
Ham, and Japheth. After witnessing a flower grow from the concrete and being haunted by dreams of
a flood, Noah takes time to visit his grandfather Methuselah. After meeting some people that had
recently died they find one survivor, so Noah and his wife decided to adopt her a young girl named lla.
Then Noah and his family are chased by Tubal Cain and his men seek refuge with the fallen angels
known as The Watchers . Methuselah gives Noah a seed from Eden and tells him he was ... Show

But in the bible it doesn t really go into detail about what happened with him before the great flood .
And his wife isn t really addresses her by her name Naameh. In the bible it continuously says his wife
rather than Naameh. In the bible it also explains how old Noah s grandfather Methuselah was when he
died which he was 969 years old when he died. And it also says that Noah was 500 years old when he
produced his three sons. In the bible in chapter 7 it explains how god told Noah that he would cause it
to rain for 40 days and 40 nights. It also says that Noah was 600 years old when he followed gods
command and the flood waters began and he took his wife and sons and his sons wives and went into
the ark. Because of the flood

Grandma’s Sweet Peanut Butter Cookies Essay
Have you ever ate one of your favorite foods so much, that every time you reunite with them, it feels
like your first time. Well that s me with my delicious Grandma s sweet peanut butter cookies from
scratch. No matter how many times I eat them it always feels like their new to my taste buds. I will
never forget the day my taste buds was in for a surprise. As I approach the turn to my Grandmother s
house, my stomach turns in the anticipation of the perfectly sweet peanut butter cookie smell that
awaits. As my mother turn up the long narrow gravel road and parked the car in front of her house. I

So I wait for grandma to get the milk and plates, so we both can sit and discuss our time away from
each other. I was only 6 at the time my grandma first started making the cookies for me. So of course,
all that was on my mind was the taste of grandma s sweet cookies that made me fill like those were the
best on earth, and no one could tell me different! Mom would be by the stove stuffing her face with
her favorite lemon cake and hot tea, while me and grandma share our time together. Some of my
favorite precious moments happened in grandmas kitchen each and every time we visit. Whether it
was just eating some of her delicious cookies or dancing, talking, or watching the windows. The
atmosphere all around grandmas house was filled with lots of sweetness joy and peace inside and out.
The smell of sweet cookies over home cooked meals covering flung over the table. Fresh cold drinks
like grandma got it straight from the sky. There was lemonade, milk, and coffee smelling like she hand
made them with the ripest lemons, milk straight from the cow and coffee fresh from the beans. Only
grandma could make it smell like that.
As it approach the time to leave grandmas seemed like everything got blurry, the rug seemed like it
was moving and the air seemed like it was getting cold out of nowhere. Grandma always grabbed me
tight as she seen mother taking footsteps to the door and saying her goodbyes. She know I never

Response to Hunter S. Thompsons Ferar and Loathing in Las...
Hunter S. Thompson s Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas is a travelogue of sorts, due to the blurred lines
between fiction and non fiction, which deeply explores the status of the American Dream during the
early 70 s, specifically 1971. Thompson states this purpose within the first three chapters of the book
in the line, Because I want you to know that we re on our way to Las Vegas to find the American
Dream. (F amp;L pg 6) Although Thompson states in the beginning of the book that, Our trip was
different. It was a classic affirmation of everything right and true and decent in the national character.
It was a gross, physical salute to the fantastic possibilities of life in this country... by the end of the
book he comes to the conclusion ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Las Vegas represents the exaggerated and most extreme trends in American society, such as instant
gratification, hypocrisy, greed, excess, and the belief that you need to be lucky to go from nothing to
something, while New York represents the ideals of moving up in society, charm, and opportunity.
#2:
Allow me to introduce myself...I m a man of wealth and taste. Sympathy? Not for me. No mercy for a
criminal freak in Las Vegas. This place is like the army: the shark ethic prevails eat the wounded. In a
closed society where everybody s guilty, the only crime is getting caught. In a world of thieves, the
only final sin is stupidity. (F amp;L pg 72)
In Horatio Alger s American Dream, there is a clear hero character, who succeeds through bravery and
honest ethics. On the other hand, in Thompson s work, the people have this shark ethic of feeding on
the wounded or the poor, in which everyone is guilty. Instead of working hard in order to move up in
society, people resort to stealing, and taking advantage of the people below them. Even our
protagonist, Duke, has flawed ethics himself and is more of an anti hero than a hero.
#3:
Especially here in our own country in this doomstruck era of Nixon. We are all wired into a survival
trip now. No more of the speed that fueled the 60 s. That was the fatal flaw in Tim Leary s trip. He

Regarding the supernatural in Hamlet, Cumberland Clark says in The Supernatural in Hamlet :
At least six or seven years pass after the writing of Midsummer Night s Dream before we find
Shakespeare engaged on Hamlet, the second of the great plays with an important Supernatural

W.H. Clemen in Imagery in Hamlet Reveals Character and Theme describes the pervasive influence
which the Ghost s words have on the entire play:
Perusing the description which the ghost of Hamlet s father gives of his poisoning by Claudius, one
cannot help being struck by the vividness with which the process of poisoning, the malicious
spreading of the disease, is portrayed:
Sleeping within my orchard,
My custom always of the afternoon,
Upon my secure hour thy uncle stole,
With juice of cursed hebenon in a vial,
And in the porches of my ears did pour
The leperous distilment; whose effect
Holds such an enmity with blood of man
That swift as quicksilver it courses through
The natural gates and alleys of the body,
And with a sudden vigour doth posset
And curd, like eager droppings into milk,
The thin and wholesome blood: so did it mine;
And a most instant tetter bark d about,
Most lazar like, with vile and loathsome crust,
All my smooth body. (1.5)

The Law Concerning The Pet Industry
In New Jersey, there is a county that is considering a law concerning the pet industry. The law being
considered would require pet stores to get their puppies and kittens from animal shelters and animal
rescue center; also, it would ban pet stores from buying puppies and kittens from puppy/kitten mills
(Giordano). Kathleen Schatzmann, the New Jersey director of the Humane Society, thinks that if the
law ...would not only crack down on cruelty in puppy mills, but would also give homeless cats and
dogs in Camden County a greater chance of finding a home, (Giordano). One citizen that agrees with
Schatzmann is Ardis Lukens. Lukens wrote a letter in support of Philadelphia s initiatives to ban
puppy mills and kitten mills (Lukens). Lukens says that limiting the pet sales of the animals from
those mills is the right thing to do (Lukens). This law to put a limitation on where the pet stores
receive animals does not benefit anyone truly nor does is show that it is really better or best. At this
point, you must question whether this law has any benevolent purpose at all. The banning of selling
commercial bred dogs and cats is unjust and unfair to the dogs and cats. This denies these animals the
right to have a good loving home, especially if they have been born in horrible condition; it is more
reasonable and humane to take them in and give them a life that will make up for the shortcoming in
the beginning. Lukens argues, Many [animals from puppy mills] suffer from broken and

[IMAGE][IMAGE][IMAGE][IMAGE][IMAGE][IMAGE]In the root hair cell of a plant the
surrounding soil will have a more concentrated water solution than inside the cell, thus leading to the
water solution in the soil osmosing into the root hair cell. The cell which is next to the root hair cell is
separated by the partially permeable membrane. This leads to the more concentrated water solution in
the root hair cell osmosing into the cell next to it. This procedure of osmosis through the cells carries
on until the cells reach the xylem. The xylem finally carries the water solution upwards to the areas
that need it.
I have decided to vary the amount of sugar solution (%) in which the potato chip is placed in. I am
using this variable as I think it will give a good range of results because unlike changing the size of
the potato this should prove that the theory of higher concentration to a lower concentration is right.
To ensure accuracy I will use equipment such as the top pan balance to measure the weight of the
potatoes accurately. I will also use a pipette to measure the about of solution I put into the test tubes.
The drop sizes of the solution vary so I will try and keep them roughly the same size but there possible
could be some inaccuracy located. I will use a borer to cut parts of the potato and a white tile

Success Is An Important Aspects Of Success
My ideal of success is setting and accomplishing goals you have set for yourself. Success can be
achieved through determination, staying focused, and overcoming obstacles. Determination is a
quality that makes you continue trying. I feel determination is an important aspect of achieving
success because staying determined to achieve a goal, gets you one step closer to being successful in
the goal you ve set for yourself. I was able to achieve my goal of becoming a good basketball player,
through determination. I started basketball when I was 12 years old, with no experience. I was scared
to get into something totally different than the usual sports I played but wanted to achieve and be
successful as a player and a teammate, so I started asking for feedback on everything I did, like
dribbling and shooting hoops. I made sure I was at every practice and game with a positive attitude
and ready to learn. I also asked for coaching assistance and practiced once a week with a coach, in
order to strive at being the best player I could be. A few months went by and my routine of practicing
every day, asking for feedback, and staying determined to be better, paid off, I was not only a better
player, but I also became the teams MVP. Another aspect of being successful is staying focused. The
word focused means to direct time and attention to a limited number of issues. An example of
someone who is staying focused, in order to achieve being successful would be my 15 year old brother

everywhere he went. He would pray for the war to end at night before he fell asleep. The friends he
made in war are either dead or he no longer keeps in touch with them at all. There wasn t much said
about his worst and best experiences in the war. All he said on that was to keep alert and stay alive.
The war did not change him. My grandfather was received with lots of love. He was going to go to
Japan but he ended up going home early. He was in Minilla on V J Day, the day the war ended. This
was a victory day celebration.
I asked him if he had been scarred either emotionally or physically from serving in the war and he
said; yes, both especially when you get surrounded. One time he told me that he opened the top hatch
to his tank to see if the cost was clear. There ended up being a jap hiding in a tree above him and he

Sex Education Is Not Be Taught
People argue that sex education is not being taught the way that it should be these days and besides
kids being told not to have sex, they are being told how to have sex without getting diseases. Which in
some cases is true, but you never know until you look deeper into how sex education and how it is
really being taught in schools around the United States today. After doing research I found two
examples of approaches to sex education currently being used in the United States today. The places
that I found how sex education is being taught are North Carolina Franklin County Public Schools and
Texas Public School District. These two states alone teach the concept of sex education in a very
different way. Texas takes an approach at it that everyone wishes every state would look at sex
education, and North Carolina takes an approach that everyone thinks all states take in teaching kids
about sex. After reading these two article I will take and compare them to some of the experiences that
I have had with sex education, tell you which one is more comprehensive, and also get a deeper look
into what sex education is like in Texas from one of my fellow classmates. In North Carolina at
Franklin County public schools they cut AIDS and STDs out of their health textbooks and put in their
sexual education classes and teach that to their 9th graders (Donovan Pg. 1). The state law in North
Carolina is to teach abstinence until marriage in their comprehensive health education program for

By doing this assignment, I learnt to analyse, evaluate, and apply business theories and concepts to
business decision making. Meanwhile, I also learn to effectively communicate information and
arguments mainly in written form.
I have chosen three companies that had undergone managerial decision. They are Tesco, Coca cola
and last but not the least AIA ING.
Tesco s managerial decision is under Human Resource Management, Coca cola is under Marketing
Management and AIA ING is under Operation Management.
I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude to my lecturer, Madam Farahida
for guidance. In addition, I would like to appreciate my family for giving motivation and support to
complete my assignment. Furthermore, I am very grateful towards my friends who help me in the

The State Of Florida Is The United States
The state of Florida is one of the states in the U.S. that is known for its sinkholes. The entire state of
Florida is sitting on top of a long stretch of limestone, which is the main ingredient in sinkholes. As
the limestone dissolves underground, it creates a void and whatever is sitting on top of this empty
void, it sinks into it. If it is simply a chunk of uninhabited that is sitting on top of a void, formation of
a sinkhole is not that big of a deal. But, if it is a house that a family is living in, now that is a different
story. When a sinkhole is about to form, there are no distinct signs. Even if there are clear signs
through cracks on the street or cracks in the house, by the time we realize, our homes would be
sinking down into the sinkhole. There has been multiple cases in Florida where families have been left
devastated due to sinkholes. In August 2013, Summer Bay Resort, Disney area timeshare development
in Clermont Florida, a big sinkhole opened up swallowing two buildings. As people were inside the
building, the ceiling started to crack and popping noises were made from the buildings. Luckily, all the
residents were evacuated and no one was injured. But, not all the cases are fortunate like this one. In
March of 2012, thirty seven year old Jeffery Bush disappeared into a huge sinkhole that opened up
directly under his bedroom while he was sleeping. Unfortunately, his body was never recovered from
the sinkhole and the two residences next to Jeffery s also

Analysis Of The Poem I Am Struck By The Irony Between...
At one hundred years young, my grandmother passed away. As the matriarch of our family, we felt
both saddened and relieved to see her go. She was an independent, educated, hardworking woman
who cherished her family and friends. Stories she shared about her youth and her numerous life
experiences supported me and guided me. Much of my personal identity formed in connection to her.
My grandmother s landscape, traditions, and identity lives on through me and my family. We, as
people, construct identities to both give life meaning and to make meaning of life.
Momaday makes meaning of his life and culture through the unique textual structure of The Way to
Rainy Mountain. While reading, I almost felt as if I was reading poetry versus a novel. The inclusion
of mythology makes the reading have a poetic tone. Within this beautifully constructed piece of
literature, I am struck by the irony between Momaday s connection to his grandmother and the Kiowa
treatment of women.
In the introduction to Momaday s piece of literature, he reveals a deep connection and reverence for
his grandmother, Aho. Momaday values her life and her memories because they give his life meaning
and help him construct his personal identity. He clearly expounded how, the immense landscape of the
continental interior [of Rainy Mountain] lay like a memory in her blood...[Momaday] wanted to see in
reality what she had seen more perfectly in the mind s eye (Momaday, 1969, p. 7). At this point, he is

Compare And Contrast Gatsby And Death Of A Salesman
A man cannot become a hero until he can see the root of his own downfall (Aristotle). This quotation
accurately describes a tragic hero, which is a character with an imperfection, or tragic flaw, that
eventually leads to their downfall. In The Great Gatsby and Death of a Salesman, both authors
criticize the unattainability of the American Dream as both characters Gatsby and Willy chase after
their dreams. During the 1920 s, the American Dream is centered around obtaining wealth any way
possible. During the 1950 s, the American Dream focused on success through a dignifying job. These
decades both involve dreams of economic prosperity that becomes these protagonists tragic flaws.
Seeking to relive the past, Gatsby and Willy strive for wealth until they similarly reach their deaths
trying to achieve their dreams. However, these two tragic heroes come from diverse backgrounds and
surroundings that greatly influence their view of success.
While Jay Gatsby and Willy Loman are both tragic heroes, the impact of their environment and people
in their lives are very different. For Gatsby, success comes with the image of Daisy. Gatsby is attracted
to her voice that is full of money and draws him into this tragic illusion of love that he continues
following his entire life (Fitzgerald). In order to achieve this dream of the past, Gatsby becomes a
bootlegger and gets rich quick so that he can impress Daisy and win her over again. This becomes his
tragic flaw as he gets wrapped up in

The Influence Of American Values
Despite the fact that I am unabashedly myself and unintentionally vocal about most, if not all, of my
opinions, I ve never had a large confrontational moment in my life. The only instances in which I ve
had to defend what I believe in develop from the ideological clashes I have with my family.
Both of my parents were raised in a small pueblo in Guanajuato, Mexico and neither were able to
complete their education past the middle school level. Their values are are geared towards family and
being financially stable, contrasting the individualistic and free form thinking that is encouraged in the
United States. Growing up, I ve juggled the different values of the two cultures. I would select
whichever ideal benefitted me the most at the moment, but as I am most consistently surrounded by
the American value system, it was inevitable that I d lean further towards the American model of
being. The dissonance in values has made itself evident more recently because of my looming

Soccer Descriptive Speech
The crowd is stomping their feet chanting USA! USA! , trying to make as much noise as they can
despite their gloved hands and frozen feet. The entire stadium is shaking as the fans show their
support for our goalie who just laid out for a stunning save. As we settle back into our seats, wrapping
blankets back around our shoulders, I hear from behind me, God is helping out between those poles
tonight. Yeah, he must be a U.S. Women s fan too cuz Lord knows the men s team is terrible. This
come from two middle aged women decked out in U.S. Soccer gear sitting a row behind me. The
group of people around them chuckle after hearing this exchange. It s just a fact around here: the
women play better. Just three months later I walk into Jordan Field, home of the Boston Breakers, a
professional women s soccer team and as we walk towards the stands one of my friends jokes that
even our high school has a better stadium than this. The sun is beating down on me, I squint up at the
stands noticing how empty they are despite the small number of seats. Once the game starts it s clear
that the fans here are just as enthusiastic as U.S. Women s National Team (USWNT) fans, there just
happens to be a lot less of them. I began to wonder how is it that 26,500 people are willing to stand in
the freezing cold to support the USWNT, but a professional women s soccer league that runs in the
middle of the summer only averages about 6,610 fans per game ( U.S. WNT vs. England 1, 2017

Homework Persuasive Essay
Are you happy with your job right now? Do you wish that you did something beneficial for yourself in
school? Do you even use any of the stuff you learned in school in your today life? I very much believe
that the homework given for school is honestly inconsiderate, time consuming, and it s unethical. I
stand by these factors for many reasons. As much as I see why it s given, I do indeed believe that the
reasons pushed against it are more important than the latter. Regardless, here is my reasoning of why
homework is inconsiderate to students, time consuming for them, and unethical to their lives. I wish
that parents that make their kids do homework would take a second and look at what they re doing.
And if that doesn t seem beneficial to them, they are being inconsiderate as those kids, young or older,
are being piled with work that they will never use in the rest of their lives. Especially if that parent
knows if their family is struggling and still sending a child to school to do things that will not benefit
their family. Perhaps that family is struggling with money, food, relationships, even lack of a shelter
for them to stay. Most parents get this thing in their head that if their child doesn t do all this work,
then they will fail in life, but that child is being filled with knowledge that makes them confused on
what they actually want to do. Then they demand that you not only do the pile of useless work that
holds that kid back from doing something more productive

European Advertising vs. American Advertising Essays
European Advertising vs. American Advertising
Research Paper
ARS 230 The main aspect of advertising is to get more bang for the buck , to make it aesthetically
pleasing to the eye and gain the viewer s attention. Throughout the years, advertising has varied in
many ways from catchy slogans to iconic logos. Some may say there is nothing wrong with a little
healthy competition, but what if one area is gaining the benefits slightly different than the others
because of their boldness? American and European advertising are very different culturally as well as

Europe is well known for using sexual nudity to promote a product, simply because sex sells .
Approaching advertising in a different light would be emotionally. In America, advertising can be
described as hard selling. Hard selling is a campaign or advertisement that is direct, forceful and
straight to the point. For example while watching an American seatbelt warning on Youtube, the
commercial is simply based on the motto, Click it or Ticket , showing average people driving their
cars and getting pulled over by officers and receiving a ticket and fine. The commercial is to the point
and straight forward, showing almost no emotion. The approach that American marketing companies
have used is effective by saying If you don t wear your seatbelt, then you will be forced by law to pay
a fine . Similarly compared to the American commercial is the European commercial s motto, Heaven
Can Wait , is an emotional grasp on losing your life over not wearing your seatbelt. Although the two
are trying to deliver the same idea, the European method seems to make a gentler or softer appeal to
the viewer by incorporating emotion and reality into the grand scheme. The emotion, fear, is
incorporated into this commercial and motivates the audience to action. We as viewers can see how
both American and European advertising is very successful; it is hard not to view one as more
effective.

Ecological Problems Facing United States Today
There are many ecological problems facing us in the United States today. Among those issues includes
global warming, our dependence on fossil fuel, saving our endangered wildlife, and ensuring that we
have safe and sufficient water. There is one environmental issue, however, that streams across all these
areas, and threatens the safety of our country, and of many bodies of water all over the world, and that
is the issue of Oil Spills. An oil spill can be defined as, an unintentional release of crude oil or refined
oil products into the environment. Oil spills are considered to be a major source of chemical pollution.
Most of these spills occur through human error, however, there are cases where oil seeps through
deposits under the ocean floor. These spills can occur on land, in the ocean, and even when oil is
spilled down storm drains that lead directly into lakes and rivers. Not only do oil spills threaten to
destroy our ecosystem and endanger our wildlife, oil spills can be harmful to human beings as well.
The reason that this is so stems from the fact that oil itself is considered to be semi volatile. This
means that it can evaporate into the air and create a heavy vapor which lingers and can be breathed in
by humans, and can travel deeply into people s lungs. This can in turn cause many health issues such
as nausea, vomiting, headaches, and even difficulty breathing. Over an even longer period of time, the
chemicals that are found in oil, and that are evaporated into

The Effect Of Public Transport On Public Transportation
2.5
Expectations of grades are directly linked to travel time as users of public transport are less likely to
expect higher grades as compared to the students who use other means.
2.5.1
As the users of public transport are not able to attend as many lectures as their counterparts who use a
car or take a walk to the university, therefore their expectations of higher grades decreases to some
extent.
2.5.2
In order to find out if the statement is true or should be rejected, we will use means of transport as one
category and the other which would be compared is going to be expected grades at the end of the
course. Around 36% of those who use public transport are expecting to receive a 1st class grade at the
end of the year. While the same grade is expected by more than 43% students who use personal means
of transport. Moreover, the mean grade expected by the whole class is 2.1 and 48% students who use
public transport are expecting this grade, while 50% who use personal transport are expecting it. The
lowest which is expected by all the students is a pass grade and 75% who expect it use public transport
while only 25% of those who expect it are users of personal transport. Contrastingly, only 6.5% users
of public transport expect a pass grade while 9.3% students who use a car or take a walk expect a pass
grade. Thus, the statement can be considered as true.
2.5.3
Our recommendation is that the students should use personal means of transport to save on travel time

Patrick Henry was an American attorney and politician in Virginia during the 1700 s. Henry is most
famously known for a speech he gave to the Second Virginia Convention in 1750. In his speech,
Henry uses pathos to connect with the convention by utilizing their religious and social beliefs. He
also uses anaphora and juxtaposition in order to persuade the Second Virginia Convention to join the

Essay about Civil Disobedience
The political concepts of justice and how a society should be governed have dominated literature
through out human history. The concept of peacefully resisting laws set by a governing force can be
first be depicted in the world of the Ancient Greeks in the works of Sophocles and actions of Socrates.
This popular idea has developed over the centuries and is commonly known today as civil
disobedience. Due to the works of Henry David Thoreau and Martin Luther King Jr. civil
disobedience is a well known political action to Americans; first in the application against slavery and
second in the application against segregation. Thoreau s essay Civil Disobedience and King s Letter
from Birmingham Jail are the leading arguments in defining ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Thoreau makes that evident in the following quote from his essay: There are thousands who are in
opinion opposed to slavery... who yet in effect do nothing to put an end to [it]; who, esteeming
themselves children of Washington and Franklin, sit down with their hands in their pockets, and say
that they know not what to do, and do nothing; and even postpone the question of freedom to the
question of free trade... (Thoreau, 270). Thoreau demands civil disobedience from his fellow
countryman to correct the errors of the government in regards to slavery and the war of his time.
Thoreau defines this concept as a deed of willful resistance, obtained by disobeying the hypocritical
laws. One deed he offers his countrymen to consider as their deed of civil disobedience, is a refusal to
pay taxes. Another deed, one Thoreau highly recommends, is to avert oneself from conspiring with the
government in refusing to actively participate in it. Most importantly civil disobedience is civil.
Meaning that the resistance to the government is peaceful and non violent in it s methods. King s work
in civil disobedience seems to be in agreement with Thoreau in regarding civil disobedience as a duty
of his fellow countrymen. King demands justice for the African Americans in the civil rights
movement of the 1960s in his letter. King s famous line to call the people out to demand justice from
the government, Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere, (Schulke,

fairy tale in which the world could believe ( Queen Elizabeth II ). In 1969, she officially made Prince
Charles her successor by granting him the title of Prince of Wales (Marr 75). Approximately two
hundred million people tuned in to see the ceremony. To continue the rule of the Windsor family,
Elizabeth pressured Prince Charles to marry. He finally decided to marry in 1981. The wedding of
Prince Charles to nineteen year old Diana Spencer drew enormous crowds in the streets of London
and millions around the world watched the proceedings on television. Public opinion of the monarchy
was especially strong at that time ( Queen Elizabeth II ). The following year, Elizabeth worried about
her second son Andrew. Prince Andrew served as a helicopter pilot in the British Royal Navy during
the Falklands War of 1982. Britain went to war with Argentina over the Falklands Islands, a clash that
lasted for several weeks. While more than 250 British soldiers died in the conflict, Prince Andrew
returned home safe and well ,much to his mother s relief (Marr 78). The love lives of her children

Identity And Identity In Alice Walker s Everyday Use
HOW DOES ONE DEFINE ONE S HERITAGE
It has been said that One of the greatest regrets in life is being what others would want you to be,
rather than being yourself. What should matter is being true to oneself and loving the person that you
have become. This short story is narrated by Mama who is telling her story of her two daughters, Dee
and Maggie. Both daughters live their lives in very different ways. In Dee s case, she goes out to make
all that she can of herself while leaving her mother and sister behind. Maggie stays at home with their
Mama and makes the most out of what surrounds her. All three ladies have different perspectives of
their own heritage and identity. The conflict in Everyday Use is that Mama has these two daughters
fighting over a quilt. In the end, readers will find that what matters most is not forgetting where you
come from and who you are as a person. In Everyday Use Alice Walker emphasizes to her readers the
importance of self identities and family through her use of conflict, setting, and characterization,
suggesting that sometimes people are so motivated in pleasing others while neglecting the things that
matter to them the most.
One s heritage and identity should not be separated from one s everyday life. The Everyday Use story
takes place in the late 1960s in the southern regions of America during the time when African
Americans were fighting for their identity and to preserve whatever heritage they have. According to
the statement that Mama made, colored asked fewer questions then than they do now . In the yard,
Mama awaits her daughter s return. The theme setting plays an important role in this story because of
Dee, the eldest daughter chooses to leave the place where she had grown up because she believes that
nothing will become of her if she stays in her home town. She chooses to leave home and get an
education while her sister Maggie stays home and is looked down upon by her sister because she
chose to stay at home. According to Mama, A yard like this is more comfortable than most people
know. It is not just a yard. It is an extended living room. 1 The yard and the comparison to the living
room are very clear that one think of one s living room as a

  • 2. The Academic Calendar Of The Philippines Essay John Ashley N. Capellan S10 24 October 2016 The academic calendar in the Philippines should be reverted back to June Definition of Academic calendar Oxford dictionary defines the term academic calendar as the schedule of events occurring in an academic year. This includes term times, examination dates, school activities and many others. A Glimpse of the Current Situation, The Policy, and Objectives of this Paper The Philippines, which is a member of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), is the only country that follows the June March academic calendar, after Thailand shifted its academic calendar last 2011. In order for the universities and schools to become global, they will change their calendars from June March to August May (for some universities, other universities choose September June). This is not only to respond to the competencies for the international market, but also to maximize the opportunities in the ASEAN. This policy argues that the academic calendar in the Philippines should be reverted back to June March calendar. Implementation of this policy will ensure the independence and will give way towards good quality in the academic standards of the country in relation to the needs of the people. The people affected in this policy are the administrators, professors, teachers, staff, students, parents, and prospective foreign academic investors. The main objective of this paper is to explain why the academic calendar ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 5. William Shakespeare Mentorship Essay Shakespeare: A Question of Authorship For centuries scholars have been examining the question whether William Shakespeare wrote all the work that has been credited to him. In his short 52 years of life, he is said to have authored 154 sonnets, two epic poems, and 38 five act plays. Following the death of Shakespeare, many scholars began researching information that may have proven why Shakespeare could not have been the primary author or the author at all for many of these works. Four theories as to why Shakespeare could not have written all the work that has been credited to him include: his limited education as an individual of common birth; the shear difficulty and near impossibility for one individual to write so many varied pieces, not ... Some believe that Queen Elizabeth I, wrote works attributed to Shakespeare because she devoted herself to the study of the classical period and enjoyed theatrics. According to Sir Roger Naunton, Queen Elizabeth translated one of the tragedies of Euripides from Greek to English for her own amusement (Brown). • 6. Electronic Cheques Are Electronic Copies Of A Regular... Electronic cheques are electronic copies of a regular cheque. You are only able to pay with an electronic cheque by sending an e mail of it to pay for the item you want. Electronic cheques are not the most common method of payment for customers as they are often sent to businesses and companies although they are able to be sent from person to person through a site such as eBay. Electronic cheques are also signed off digitally by the person/business receiving the cheque to confirm the receiving of the cheque. Electronic cheques allow users of e commerce to pay with an electronic cheque, as an alternative payment option rather than using a credit or debit card to purchase goods online. Electronic cheques are more common in the US than in the UK, where credit and debit cards are used by the masses. Electronic cheques give business, universities, private companies and personal online sellers the ability to let their customer make an online payment by e mailing their cheque to the business/person so they have their payment for their product. E commerce has allowed for this new method of payment that has never been used previously by the public and now adds a new type of convenient payment method for non credit/debit card users and customers who prefer not to give their bank details to PayPal or another online banking account. Electronic cheques however have their negatives, such as the time in which it takes for the transaction to take place. It can take up to a couple of days ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 7. The Effects Of Climate Change And Variability Essay Abstract Climate change and variability poses a major challenge to current and future productivity of major crops. During the last century, there has been a rapid increase in various greenhouse gas emissions, leading to warmer temperatures, drought stress, and increased exposure to ultraviolet B radiation. At the present rate of population increase and green house gas emissions it is predicted that future climate will be warmer and drier, and there will be more occurrences of short episodes of extreme events of various stresses. Crops often exposed to short episodes of various abiotic stresses or its combination during its critical period of growth stages can limit its yield potential. Understanding of impact of climate change drivers and climate variability will be critical in developing crop management strategies to combat negative effect of climate change and variability. This review provides an overview of the influences of elevated carbon dioxide, high temperature stress, drought stress, elevated UV B radiation and their interaction on various physiological, growth and yield processes of various crops. Elevated carbon dioxide will increase crop yield in C3 plants under optimum growth conditions. However, under high temperature, drought and UV B stress conditions there will be very limited or no benefits of elevated CO2 on grain yield. It is predicted that global mean surface air temperatures will increase in the range of 1.5 to 4.5°C by end of this century. Similarly, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The truth is with every degree of increase in temperature a 100 more wildlife species are put in danger of extinction. Numerous experiments and studies prove that an increased level of greenhouse gases, mainly carbon dioxide, is causing climate change and causing it fast. 2) Human Activities A) Burning of fossil fuels This is the most prominent and deadly source of climate change. • 13. Response to Hunter S. Thompsons Ferar and Loathing in Las... Hunter S. Thompson s Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas is a travelogue of sorts, due to the blurred lines between fiction and non fiction, which deeply explores the status of the American Dream during the early 70 s, specifically 1971. Thompson states this purpose within the first three chapters of the book in the line, Because I want you to know that we re on our way to Las Vegas to find the American Dream. (F amp;L pg 6) Although Thompson states in the beginning of the book that, Our trip was different. It was a classic affirmation of everything right and true and decent in the national character. Sympathy? Not for me. No mercy for a criminal freak in Las Vegas. This place is like the army: the shark ethic prevails eat the wounded. In a closed society where everybody s guilty, the only crime is getting caught. In a world of thieves, the only final sin is stupidity. (F amp;L pg 72) In Horatio Alger s American Dream, there is a clear hero character, who succeeds through bravery and honest ethics. On the other hand, in Thompson s work, the people have this shark ethic of feeding on the wounded or the poor, in which everyone is guilty. Instead of working hard in order to move up in society, people resort to stealing, and taking advantage of the people below them. Even our protagonist, Duke, has flawed ethics himself and is more of an anti hero than a hero. #3: Especially here in our own country in this doomstruck era of Nixon. The law being considered would require pet stores to get their puppies and kittens from animal shelters and animal rescue center; also, it would ban pet stores from buying puppies and kittens from puppy/kitten mills (Giordano). Kathleen Schatzmann, the New Jersey director of the Humane Society, thinks that if the law ...would not only crack down on cruelty in puppy mills, but would also give homeless cats and dogs in Camden County a greater chance of finding a home, (Giordano). One citizen that agrees with Schatzmann is Ardis Lukens. Lukens wrote a letter in support of Philadelphia s initiatives to ban puppy mills and kitten mills (Lukens). Lukens says that limiting the pet sales of the animals from those mills is the right thing to do (Lukens). This law to put a limitation on where the pet stores receive animals does not benefit anyone truly nor does is show that it is really better or best. At this point, you must question whether this law has any benevolent purpose at all. The banning of selling commercial bred dogs and cats is unjust and unfair to the dogs and cats. This denies these animals the right to have a good loving home, especially if they have been born in horrible condition; it is more reasonable and humane to take them in and give them a life that will make up for the shortcoming in the beginning. Success can be achieved through determination, staying focused, and overcoming obstacles. Determination is a quality that makes you continue trying. I feel determination is an important aspect of achieving success because staying determined to achieve a goal, gets you one step closer to being successful in the goal you ve set for yourself. I was able to achieve my goal of becoming a good basketball player, through determination. I started basketball when I was 12 years old, with no experience. I was scared to get into something totally different than the usual sports I played but wanted to achieve and be successful as a player and a teammate, so I started asking for feedback on everything I did, like dribbling and shooting hoops. I made sure I was at every practice and game with a positive attitude and ready to learn. I also asked for coaching assistance and practiced once a week with a coach, in order to strive at being the best player I could be. A few months went by and my routine of practicing every day, asking for feedback, and staying determined to be better, paid off, I was not only a better player, but I also became the teams MVP. Which in some cases is true, but you never know until you look deeper into how sex education and how it is really being taught in schools around the United States today. After doing research I found two examples of approaches to sex education currently being used in the United States today. The places that I found how sex education is being taught are North Carolina Franklin County Public Schools and Texas Public School District. These two states alone teach the concept of sex education in a very different way. Texas takes an approach at it that everyone wishes every state would look at sex education, and North Carolina takes an approach that everyone thinks all states take in teaching kids about sex. The entire state of Florida is sitting on top of a long stretch of limestone, which is the main ingredient in sinkholes. As the limestone dissolves underground, it creates a void and whatever is sitting on top of this empty void, it sinks into it. If it is simply a chunk of uninhabited that is sitting on top of a void, formation of a sinkhole is not that big of a deal. But, if it is a house that a family is living in, now that is a different story. When a sinkhole is about to form, there are no distinct signs. Even if there are clear signs through cracks on the street or cracks in the house, by the time we realize, our homes would be sinking down into the sinkhole. There has been multiple cases in Florida where families have been left devastated due to sinkholes. In August 2013, Summer Bay Resort, Disney area timeshare development in Clermont Florida, a big sinkhole opened up swallowing two buildings. Stories she shared about her youth and her numerous life experiences supported me and guided me. Much of my personal identity formed in connection to her. My grandmother s landscape, traditions, and identity lives on through me and my family. We, as people, construct identities to both give life meaning and to make meaning of life. Momaday makes meaning of his life and culture through the unique textual structure of The Way to Rainy Mountain. While reading, I almost felt as if I was reading poetry versus a novel. The inclusion of mythology makes the reading have a poetic tone. Within this beautifully constructed piece of literature, I am struck by the irony between Momaday s connection to his grandmother and the Kiowa treatment of women. In the introduction to Momaday s piece of literature, he reveals a deep connection and reverence for his grandmother, Aho. Momaday values her life and her memories because they give his life meaning and help him construct his personal identity. He clearly expounded how, the immense landscape of the continental interior [of Rainy Mountain] lay like a memory in her blood...[Momaday] wanted to see in reality what she had seen more perfectly in the mind s eye (Momaday, 1969, p. 7). Do you even use any of the stuff you learned in school in your today life? I very much believe that the homework given for school is honestly inconsiderate, time consuming, and it s unethical. I stand by these factors for many reasons. As much as I see why it s given, I do indeed believe that the reasons pushed against it are more important than the latter. Regardless, here is my reasoning of why homework is inconsiderate to students, time consuming for them, and unethical to their lives. I wish that parents that make their kids do homework would take a second and look at what they re doing. And if that doesn t seem beneficial to them, they are being inconsiderate as those kids, young or older, are being piled with work that they will never use in the rest of their lives. Especially if that parent knows if their family is struggling and still sending a child to school to do things that will not benefit their family. Perhaps that family is struggling with money, food, relationships, even lack of a shelter for them to stay. • 34. Ecological Problems Facing United States Today There are many ecological problems facing us in the United States today. Among those issues includes global warming, our dependence on fossil fuel, saving our endangered wildlife, and ensuring that we have safe and sufficient water. There is one environmental issue, however, that streams across all these areas, and threatens the safety of our country, and of many bodies of water all over the world, and that is the issue of Oil Spills. An oil spill can be defined as, an unintentional release of crude oil or refined oil products into the environment. Oil spills are considered to be a major source of chemical pollution. Most of these spills occur through human error, however, there are cases where oil seeps through deposits under the ocean floor. These spills can occur on land, in the ocean, and even when oil is spilled down storm drains that lead directly into lakes and rivers. Not only do oil spills threaten to destroy our ecosystem and endanger our wildlife, oil spills can be harmful to human beings as well. The reason that this is so stems from the fact that oil itself is considered to be semi volatile. • 40. Essay about Civil Disobedience The political concepts of justice and how a society should be governed have dominated literature through out human history. The concept of peacefully resisting laws set by a governing force can be first be depicted in the world of the Ancient Greeks in the works of Sophocles and actions of Socrates. This popular idea has developed over the centuries and is commonly known today as civil disobedience. Thoreau makes that evident in the following quote from his essay: There are thousands who are in opinion opposed to slavery... who yet in effect do nothing to put an end to [it]; who, esteeming themselves children of Washington and Franklin, sit down with their hands in their pockets, and say that they know not what to do, and do nothing; and even postpone the question of freedom to the question of free trade... (Thoreau, 270). Thoreau demands civil disobedience from his fellow countryman to correct the errors of the government in regards to slavery and the war of his time. Thoreau defines this concept as a deed of willful resistance, obtained by disobeying the hypocritical laws. One deed he offers his countrymen to consider as their deed of civil disobedience, is a refusal to pay taxes. Another deed, one Thoreau highly recommends, is to avert oneself from conspiring with the government in refusing to actively participate in it. Most importantly civil disobedience is civil. Meaning that the resistance to the government is peaceful and non violent in it s methods. King s work in civil disobedience seems to be in agreement with Thoreau in regarding civil disobedience as a duty of his fellow countrymen. King demands justice for the African Americans in the civil rights movement of the 1960s in his letter. King s famous line to call the people out to demand justice from the government, Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere, (Schulke, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 46. Identity And Identity In Alice Walker s Everyday Use HOW DOES ONE DEFINE ONE S HERITAGE It has been said that One of the greatest regrets in life is being what others would want you to be, rather than being yourself. What should matter is being true to oneself and loving the person that you have become. This short story is narrated by Mama who is telling her story of her two daughters, Dee and Maggie. Both daughters live their lives in very different ways. In Dee s case, she goes out to make all that she can of herself while leaving her mother and sister behind. Maggie stays at home with their Mama and makes the most out of what surrounds her. All three ladies have different perspectives of their own heritage and identity. The conflict in Everyday Use is that Mama has these two daughters fighting over a quilt. In the end, readers will find that what matters most is not forgetting where you come from and who you are as a person. In Everyday Use Alice Walker emphasizes to her readers the importance of self identities and family through her use of conflict, setting, and characterization, suggesting that sometimes people are so motivated in pleasing others while neglecting the things that matter to them the most. One s heritage and identity should not be separated from one s everyday life. The Everyday Use story takes place in the late 1960s in the southern regions of America during the time when African Americans were fighting for their identity and to preserve whatever heritage they have. According to the statement that Mama made, colored asked fewer questions then than they do now . In the yard, Mama awaits her daughter s return.
