Geography Cronulla Essay
Outline the geographical processes relevant to the management of the Cronulla, Wanda and Kurnell
area.
The Cronulla, Kurnell and Wanda region sites are ecologically and culturally significant. The
Cronulla, Wanda and Kurnell areas are filled with beautiful beaches, magnificent headlands and
various other wonderful features, being well over 15000 years old this region showcases some
magnificent attractions. These regions however are now faced with issues regarding enviromental
degradation and habitat endangerment. There are many issues however some of the more significant
problems are erosion, longshore drift and high rise development. There are three key factors in the
geographical processes that affect the coastal enviroments. There ... Show more content on

Erosion is unfortuanately present at Cronulla beach, the local government have tried to tackle this
problem with solution such as dune stabilization and rip rap walls. Rip rap walls are when larged
rocks are piled in a certain angle to catch drifting sand and protect the beaches from harsher waves
and to protect buildings from high tides. There are also many programs which help to ensure the
stabilization of dunes, these include the planting of new vegetation to combat erosion, fencing and
designated walkways to prevent human interference. The main reason of dune stabilization is to slow
down the speed of erosion. In 1974 the Cronulla beaches were at an all time low and was in a critical
state, from this the University of New South Wales designed a new wall, a wall which is different
from the conventional walls used to prevent erosion and transportation with these hexagonal concrete
blocks weigh well over a tonne each to be used as a line of defence agiasnt the waves and erosion.
These concrete walls over a period of time have increased the size of the beach. Enviromental
organisations have tried there best to limit the amount of man made deveoplment on coastal lads and
many schools participating in annual events to protect and save the sand dunes. The government has

Comparison Of Cannabis And Religion
Cannabis and religion go together like vegetarians and McDonalds. At least, that s what people used to
think. Not only is weed creeping into everyday society but many religions are beginning to include
this mind altering substance in some of their older traditions. Judaism is one of them. Here are five
things to know about it.
1. CANNABIS AND JUDAISM COMBINING ON ROSH HASHANA
October 2nd marks the beginning of Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year. Like most other holidays,
this one is celebrated with a grand meal. Usually, marijuana is not included on the menu but the times,
they are a changing. Jews are beginning to use the drug to add a new flavor (and of course, feeling) to
their Rosh Hashanah table.

Online School vs. Traditional School Jessica O Brien Strayer University English 215 Professor: Robin
Parks 12/4/11 Online School vs. Traditional School It seems that technology is growing, improving,
and changing at an exponential rate. Technology now affects every part of our lives from the time we
get up to the time we go to bed, and even as we sleep. One of the major areas that has been affected by
technology is education. At one time, the only option for students to complete their education was in a
traditional classroom setting. There has become a major need for non traditional education because
there has been a growth in the amount of non traditional students that exist in our society. The

One major concern is that cheating will be increased due to there not being any proctoring or
monitoring of exams. This is a very valid concern. Plagiarism is a major issue in any school, whether
it is an online or a traditional classroom setting. The major concern that some people have is that
plagiarism is much easier online than it is in a classroom setting. I would have to disagree with this. I
have been both a student at a traditional university (Georgia State University), and I have been a
student online (University of Phoenix for 2 years and now, Strayer University). If a student wants to
cheat on a paper, it is just as easy to do it whether he/she is physically submitting it to a professor or
electronically submitting it. The medium used for submission does not change the actual process the
student takes when writing the paper. Also, cheating on an online exam is not as easy as one may
expect. Most classes do not offer multiple choice online exams for the very reason that there is a
concern, because it would be easy to copy and paste a question into Google or any other popular
search engine. Instead, the tests usually require the student work the problem out on his/her own or
write a paper or summary to show that he/she actually understands the content. I find that

The Job Of Early Years Foundation Stage Class Teacher
It is with great interest and enthusiasm I apply for the job of Early Years Foundation Stage Class
Teacher.
After extensive and varied experience of working throughout St Michaels Catholic Primary School
and Cavendish Primary School, I would like to continue my career as a Foundation Stage, Class
Teacher.
My current position, working as a full time Reception Class Teacher requires excellent communication
with children, other teachers, child care professionals and parents who often come from diverse
cultural backgrounds.
Patience and sensitivity are vital when communicating with adults and children in the school setting
and these qualities, I believe, are my strengths. My work as a Class Teacher and a Subject Leader

I record both, short and long observations of the children and alongside their drawings and
photographs, collate a learning journal, which is then shared with their parents. This allows me to plan
activities that interest and challenge the children and set the next steps for each child. This also
encourages parents to work in close partnership with the school. I undertake home visits each year.
These visits enable me to participate in the positive development of home school links. I also work in
close partnership with the school s SENCO and outside agencies, and so I am aware of children s
varying needs from special education needs to those who may be gifted and talented. I am familiar
with children s IEP s and the reviewing of their targets as I am involved in entering assessments into
Classroom Monitor, the online assessment tool.
Every half term, the children complete a summative assessment task, which I record on Classroom
Monitor and on our half termly trackers. I then use this data to track the progress of my children and
create an action plan to identify the next steps in learning for children. I use the information from case
studies to inform my future planning for the child. Due to the recent changes in the EYFS and EY
Profile, I summarise the Best Fit judgment concerning the age and stage that a child is working within.

Internet Protocol Is The Process Of Transmitting And...
Internet Protocol television (IPTV) is the process of transmitting and broadcasting television programs
through the Internet using Internet Protocol (IP). A broadband connection is used as the medium of
transmission for IPTV. Along consumers to tune in to their favorite programming when, where, and
how they want. Improving the user experience compared to a traditional television transmission such
as radio frequency broadcast, satellite broadcast and/or cable television.
When downloading a file from the Internet, the file doesn t travel in one big piece, as might be
expected. Instead, it s broken up into small pieces, known as packets sent to specific IP address, a
numeric address given to every computer on the Internet (194.66.82.11). Therefore every computer
has a unique identifying number known as an IP address much like houses and street address. The
Internet can be used for many things: sending emails, downloading files, making telephone calls VoIP
(Voice Over Internet Protocol), and now watching TV using IPTV.
Traditional TV programs are broadcasted through a rooftop antenna, satellite dish, phone line, coaxial
cable or fiber optic cable. With traditional linear programming someone else has decided what you can
watch on TV and when you can watch it, since certain programs come at certain times. As, channel
lineups have grown over the years, referring to Appendix A. Of all the channels in the lineup, selection

Controversy Of Shakespeare
DeVere or Shakespeare?
Abstract: The debate over the legitimacy of the authorship of Shakespearean works has been disputed
for centuries. While many scholars have held beliefs that Shakespeare s works have been written by
figures such as Christopher Marlowe, Francis Bacon, William Stanley, and others, the most heated
debate today is between William Shakespeare and Edward DeVere, the Earl of Oxford. Each side of
this debate has many followers, the Stratfordians, or those who claim Shakespeare to be the true
author, and the Oxfordians who believe that true credit should go to DeVere. My paper, far from being
a complete analysis of the possibilities of Shakespearean authorship, attempts to summarize and
rationalize the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
While the ideas of the true identity of Shakespeare have differed over the years in an almost trend like
fashion, a very popular idea has surfaced over the last century. The most prolific debate today is
between the Stratfordians, or those who claim Shakespeare to be the true author, and the Oxfordians,
those who claim Edward DeVere, Earl of Oxford, to be the true author.
The first question to ask in such a circumstance is why doubt exists. For instance, no scholars question
the works of writers and philosophers such as Montisqueu, Hobbes, or Locke. Why then, is there any
question as to who wrote Shakespeare? It would seem to most people that the name on the plays
should logically be the name of the author. Stratfordians claim exactly this fact as one of their
strongest arguments. The only problem with this seemingly simplistic argument lies in the spelling
differences between the man named Will Shakespere and the name written on the plays, William
Shakespeare (Whalen 8). In fact, the records of (Shakespere s) lifetime almost always spelled his
name Shakespere while the names on the plays were always spelled Shakespeare, about half the time
with a hyphen which generally denoted a made up name or pseudonym (Whalen 8). Such a slight
difference may seem insignificant, but for those who doubt authorship, this is a way of questioning the
very basis of Stratfordian claims that authorship is inarguable, and introducing the possibility of

Understanding The Brain s Physical Operation
Understanding the brain s physical operation is essential to frame the relationship between brain and
mind. The brain functions as a result of many complex processes; however, Jeeves and Brown narrow
the brain s activity into eight critical principles. These principles provide a background necessary to
deduce insightful information from neuroscience s current research of the correlation between our
mental lives and brain systems.
The first principle describes the PNS and CNS as action loops. An action loop is equivalent to what
physiologists describe as a regulatory feedback loop. A feedback loop is composed of two nerve
branches, an afferent (incoming) arm and an efferent (outgoing) arm. Monitoring the two arms of the
feedback loop is an integrating center, which in most cases is the brain. Sensory information travels
via the afferent arm to the integrating center (brain), where the stimulus is evaluated. After evaluation,
the integrating center (brain) sends appropriate motor stimuli to specific tissues within the body. Thus,
an organism is always sensing and responding to its local environment. From this principle, Jeeves
and Brown suggest, Subjective thought and cognition are derived from this action processing,
including all the complex levels involved in modulating ongoing action (Jeeves and Brown, 2009, p.
42). Hence, the first principle describes how humans constantly interact with the environment around
them. The second principle describes a nested hierarchy of

Hurt People by Dr. Sandra Wilson (2001). The student writer will compare and contrast the skills that
are mentioned in this book to establish a well maintained way in which to minister to clients, and meet
their needs as a counselor. Discussing our own hurts and abilities to minister to others through Dr.
Wilson s techniques and methods will be discovered in this paper. Table of Contents Title Page 1

Primary Goal The primary goal of this books is to view oneself as a way to reach others. Everybody
goes through difficult trials and circumstances in their lives. Sometimes we carry deep wounds from
these traumatic episodes in our lives. If we don t learn how to work through those episodes of trauma,
we may ultimately hurt others. We then create a generational trap in which we continuously hurt
others the way in which we were hurt, if not more so in the end. It becomes a generational curse and
Dr. Wilson explains that the goal of counseling is to develop new ways to end the generational curses
that traumatize and affect us from the inside out. When we learn new ways to cope and to heal, we
then are able to end the viscous

Hurricane Katrina is another storm that impacted the black community most. Hurricane Katrina racks

their expectations of help they are receiving. Many of the deaths are due to the poor evacuation
process before Katrina touches down, and insufficient amount of food and zero water supply after the
storm. The storm striking in a part of Louisiana that is mostly in poverty did not help at all. Sixty eight
percent of the survivors believe the rescue efforts would be more effective if they have been white and
wealthier.

Nuclear Fission Essay
Introduction
In 1939, the discovery of nuclear fission unlocked the potential of an entirely different source of
power. The utilization of internal energy contained in the atomic nucleus has provided a major
solution to present and future power source needs by turning away from fossil fuels such as coal, oil
and natural gas and currently encompass three fourth of world s energy requirements to cleaner
alternatives such as nuclear power and renewables.
The objective of this paper is provide a comparison of the current types of nuclear reactors such as
burners and breeder reactors. The analysis will encompass a review of economic (LCOE),
environmental (LCA) and technological challenges for both technologies. Further, benefits and
detriments associated with each form of technology will be included to provide some further ... Show

What is Nuclear Fission?
Nuclear Fission is the main process by which humans are able to generate energy from the nucleus of
atoms. In order to discuss the nuclear fission process the role of the neutron must be examined. The
collision of a neutron in motion with a fissionable nucleus an essential pre condition that creates the
nuclear fission process. In order for fission to occur a neutron of the requisite energy must collide into,
and merge with a fissionable nucleus to create a new compound nucleus. The formation of the new
compound nucleus, in the case of Uranium 238, can be described by the following nuclear reaction: U
238 + n U 239. In situations where nuclear fission successfully occurs new nuclei are created from the
remnants of the old nuclei. The velocity or energy of the colliding neutron is a significant factor in the
fission process. Nuclear fission can occur after a heavy nuclei captures a neutron. The low energy
neutrons which are slow or thermal can result in the fission of isotopes of Plutonium and Uranium
whose nuclei have an odd number of

Claude Mckay America
America by Claude Mckay is a poem and also a sonnet. Most sonnets in the time of Williams
Shakespeare were always about a person feelings towards something and that s exactly what he did.
He wrote about the feelings he has towards America. According to a biography I read about Claude
Mckay, he was a Jamaican who immigrated to the United States. He was a poet and was inspired to
write several poems in New York. It started off stating, Although she feeds me bread of bitterness, And
sinks into my throat her tiger s tooth. He mentions how America is a Her, in other words, comparing
America to a woman like a motherly figure. Those first two stances meant disgust towards America
and also expresses his dependence on the country as well. Throughout

New Mexican Culture In Bless Me, Ultima
Traditional New Mexican culture is the backbone of Bless Me, Ultima. Although there a lot of
qualities taken from the culture, readers will view the novel from multiple perspectives and separate
the realistic representations of the culture from fiction. Analyzing different elements from the novel
will demonstrate how the relationship between them brings the world of Bless Me, Ultima to life. The
elements of the llano, owl, and whirlwind will specifically examine Ultima and her role as a
curandera. These are just three of the elements, but all of them together are essential to Tony s
understanding of Ultima and his coming of age we see throughout the novel. In the beginning of the
novel, Antonio is with his siblings at night when they first ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
She teaches Antonio that even the plants [have] a spirit (Chapter 4). The llano is a sacred place for her.
The reader can see the importance of the care and handling of the plants is to Ultima because she has a
specific process of how to handle them. There is much history behind her practice and she takes great
pride in it. The llano is an extension of Ultima because as a curandera, she uses plants as physical
healing as well as spiritual healing. Ultima and Antonio have an unexplainable connection through the
whirlwind. When she places holds Antonio s hand, he feels the four directions of the llano met in

as physical and spiritual markers in finding one s identity. Ultima is the whirlwind helping him to
grow and mature into a young adult. In this scene, the whirlwind is a powerful and positive force, but
in western cultures, winds are almost always seen as destructive and evil. This is a common contrast
readers see throughout the novel with Ultima. Each element, the owl, llano, and whirlwind, are a
projection of everything Ultima symbolizes. She is a guardian who watches over her family and the
town, protecting them from the evils that try to do harm. She is a healer that provides physical and
mental healing. She is a teacher that assists Antonio on his journey to becoming a young

Operation Market Garden Research Paper
The operation started around dawn on the 17th of September, 1944. German forces continued
receiving regular air strikes by allied forces near Eindhoven, Deelen, Ede, and airfields in Holland.
Paratroopers of the airborne assault boarded their planes and began travel to their drop sites. The
operation used over two thousand aircraft, between troop carriers and assault aircraft, to get the
paratroopers close enough to assault into their objectives. By approximately 1400 hours local time on
the 17th, an estimate of 20,000 troops landed in vicinity of their planned drop zones. Additionally, this
was the first successful airborne operation for dropping artillery into battle. The three assault forces
began their movement onto their objectives by evening of the 17th, finding little resistance until they
approached Eindhoven. Upon arrival at some of the locations to secure, it was identified the Germans

What Are The Factors That Affect The Civil Rights Movement
The Civil Rights Movement brought to light of a lot of issues that were affecting the people of the
United States. These issues included racism and women s rights, and people who felt they were
discriminated against began to challenge how they were treated. One such group was the National
Organization for Women, a group which fought to ensure equality for women. The National
Organization for Women had a lasting impact on the Civil Rights Movement, and the history of
women.
A group of four women who felt like the country needed to change the way women were treated took
action and started the National Organization for Women. While many women still worked, they were
paid less than their male counterparts. Many employers didn t view women s pay as necessary for the
family, they saw it as extra money the family could use. Marriage Bar was used by many employers,
where many married women could not work certain occupations. Even though many still worked and
kept their jobs, they were paid very little and not treated equally.
The National Organization for Women was founded by a group of feminist in 1966. This group
included author, Betty Friedan, who wrote The Feminine Mystique. The book is credited with starting

Mobs In A Tale Of Two Cities
A Tale of Two Cities truly was ...the best of times, and ...the worst of times,... (Dickens 7). The worst
of times was especially portrayed through the mobs in France. In A Tale of Two Cities, Dickens writes
about mobs and how the peasants and even the aristocrats act while in a mob. The motif of mobs
reveals the theme of how easily people are influenced by others around them such as Roger Cly s
funeral , the storming of the Bastille, and when the peasants were trying to find Old Foulon. Mobs are
seen throughout the book, but a huge mob occurred during Roger Cly s faked funeral. Roger Cly was
a spy, and during the French Revolution the peasants strongly disliked spies because they could not be
trusted. The people of St. Antoine did not know that Cly s funeral was being faked. They all gathered

chanting that they wanted to kill the rest of the spies. There were so many people on the street that
even the horse drawn carriages could not move and had to stop. Even if the people did not know who
Cly was, they wanted him and the other spies dead. Not only were the people stopping the carriages
and horses from moving, but they were acting as though they were beasts or wild animals. The crowd
was so happy that Roger Cly had died that they did anything their heart desired. The people in the

Cells And Organistics Of Plastic Stherent Stromal Cell...
The majority of studies and clinical trials have used plastic adherent stromal cell populations
expanded in culture. So the starting cell population is heterogeneous comprising progenitors and
committed fibroblasts that are less efficacious. By immunoselecting clonogenic MSCs with specific
surface markers by flow cytometry or magnetic bead sorting, a homogeneous population of starting
cells can be obtained (Lv et al., 2014). As mentioned in section 1.1.1. MSCs are a rare population of
cells in tissues, accounting for 1 4% of cells which decrease with increasing age (Stolzing et al.,
2008). Due to their rarity, MSCs require extensive culture in vitro to generate sufficient numbers for
clinical transplantation especially for use in adult ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Studies have shown that the survival rate was significantly less in patients treated with late passage
MSCs compared to early passage MSCs (von Bahr et al., 2012). Heterogeneity and senescence
decrease efficiency of culture expanded MSCs with reduced and/or variable clinical outcome as has
been the experience to date with bmMSCs (von Bahr et al., 2012, Prockop et al., 2014).
Uncultured transgenic MSCs injected into irradiated mice showed 55 65% recovery from bone
marrow which decreased to 10% and 0% after only 24 hours and 48 hours of culture respectively,
showing both the homing capacity of bmMSCs and the shortness of their survival in vivo on
intravenous infusion (Rombouts and Ploemacher, 2003). The authors also suggested that cell cycle
stage of bmMSCs at the time of transplantation may be a factor influencing survival, whereby the
primary quiescent MSCs in G0 phase of cell cycle survive longer, while the cultured cells are G1 or
later stage of the cells cycle have limited survival (Rombouts and Ploemacher, 2003). The homing
ability of MSCs decreases significantly if they have been pre cultured (Sohni and Verfaillie, 2013).
This shows that culture conditions likely modified the homing receptors for chemokines.
The MSC markers CD73, CD90 and CD105 appear to be expressed consistently regardless of the
culture environment, passage stage or the functional ability of MSCs (Maumus et al., 2011, Lo Surdo
et al.,

Reflection Paper About Reflection
Reflection Questions
Out of all the stories that I heard my favorite story was titled the Power Of Love . The author drew me
in by using a precise date and setting and that made me feel like I was there in that same setting. The
way she detailed the setting and used a lot of the sense such as stating that the room she sat in was
cold and as the doctor talked to her it turned chilly.
The speaker used a lot of elements in her story, but one of the strongest elements that I found that
would be extremely useful is how well she developed the story and how it was organized. She did not
over complicate the story and spoke very eloquently. The manner in which she carried the story also
made me understand her story easily and I would like to incorporate these elements in my story as
well.
My biggest challenge with this project is going to be vocalizing my story in a strong manner, because
when I get nervous I tend to mumble. I hope that I do not mumble and that i convey my story clearly.
Before the story: My sister had a boyfriend, although she was not allowed to date. She would take me
along with her so that no one would suspect anything.
I would go with her under the condition that she would buy me my movie ticket and food.
How it began:
It all started when I was in the 7th grade.
My sister and I were going to go to the movies and as always I would be the one to wait on her,
because she always took a long time getting ready. I was laying on my bed and listening to music. As I
was waiting for her I looked in the mirror. I then suddenly noticed I had a unibrow. Ever since the
fourth grade I was aware of that unibrow, but this time it was a scary one.
How it began:
I told myself do not worry no one will notice, but then i thought no your in middle school someone
will notice. I then thought of another idea maybe I will shave it, get rid of that unibrow.
That idea alone did not convince me so then I though maybe I should just get bangs and cut them right
above my eyes and no one will even know.
Then my sister starts yelling at me to hurry up the irony of that statement when it was always me
getting her in trouble for being late.
Climax: I decided that I was gonna be bold and I was going to shave

Legal Research Of A Small Business With Roberto
Legal Research paper
1/ For starting a small business with Roberto, I strongly believe our business organization will be
following to Limited Liability company, LLC, which can be advantageous for providing protection to
partners and investors. Both of us have equal rights to manage and have agency to contract for the
company. Because of having the first small business together, our business organization do not allow
for public offerings and stock sales that we can be easy to control. Also, we have to find one of the
best farm for giving the milk, egg, and others organic supplies to make our products which means we
need to sign a contract with them for every month.
2/ In my opinion, if we want to start this business, based on Georgia law, we would involve and be
sued in trademark infringement law by using the name and logo of another company. The trademark
infringement is the using of another s mark without authorization or permission of the trademark
owner. Although they are not cheese package, they have name and logo that look same with cheese
package logo. Therefore, they are easy to cause customer to become confused about the products. If
we keep choosing their name and logo, we should buy franchise from their companies. However, we
will not start this business on this way. Instead of using name and logo of the laughing cow company,
we will choose our name and logo differently such as our name will be I dream of ice creams and the

What Is An Explainer Video Essay
What is an Explainer Video?
An Explainer Video is a marketing technique that uses short videos to teach a skill, explain a product,
or demonstrate a service. These videos range from 2 4 minutes long. They are meant to be fun, light,
and entertaining. The point is to capture an audience s attention. These videos are user friendly. They
might feature catchy songs or phrases that will help the video stick to memory. Explainer videos
feature in advertisements on many streaming services. They are showcased on social media. Explainer
videos will be anywhere they can sell a product or service. They increase the popularity of the site
because most consumers would rather watch a video than read about a product.
The Different Types of Explainer Videos
With any marketing scheme, there are always different formats to obtain the maximum response.
Live Action: This type of Explainer video features real people acting out a scene to sell a product. The
actor might dress a certain way or act a certain way to get their point across. This works best for
companies that are attempting to sell a physical product. This type of advertisement works well for
people oriented services because people relate to the actors in the video.
Animated: This is the most popular Explainer video type. This type of marketing works best for
software and other computer products. They rarely deal with physical items, and stick to more creative
ways to express their products.

Creole Men of The Awakening by Kate Chopin Essay
In Kate Chopin s novel, The Awakening, the Creole men are as diverse and different as Edna. Kate
Chopin s story centers around a woman, unsatisfied with her life in a man dominated society. The
three main male characters resemble typical men of that era. Chopin shows the diversity of each of
those three characters Roberts awakening, and the struggle to do the right thing, Alcee and his carefree
and unconcerned attitude towards society s expectations, and Mr. Pontiller, a business man, with little
time left for wife and family. In exploring these three men in Kate Chopin s The Awakening, there are

Leonce is so caught up in his own ideals that he fails to see the reaction of his wife, and children. He
is caught in turmoil between society and typically uses the Kliens hotel as a way out. Then Mr.
Pontellier got up, saying he had half a mind to go over to Kliens hotel and play a game of billiards.
(Chopin, 174) Leonce does not spend time with his family while at the summer cottage, and never
cultivated intimacy with his children and wife. Leonce would rather be with the boys, leaving all the
everyday responsibilities to his wife, or hired help. While at home Leonce expects his wife to be
attentive to his every word, treating him more like a prospective business partner than her husband.
Leonce does not accept Edna s lack of attention, and gets at her the only way he can, through her
children. Leonce has a chance to vent his discouragement toward his wife. He thought it very
discouraging that his wife, the sole object of his existence, envinviced so little interest in things which
concerned him and valued so little his conversation. (177) He reproached his wife with inattentions
(178) It is obvious that Edna s inattentions were of Leonce and not the children. Leonce wanted to get
at his wife from her lack of interest in his time at Kliens. After he reproaches Edna he goes outside and
smokes a cigar like it was the most natural thing in the world to do. (178) The real event is that
Leonce has gotten even with his wife, for her inattention to him. The next

The Common Complication Following Surgical Procedures
Infections are the most common complication following surgical procedures and are associated with
significant morbidity, mortality and increased cost in health care (Anderson, 2014). As a nurse
working in a surgical capacity this is a concern for the patients. Working for a general surgeon,
surgical site infections are not commonly seen in the office, however, it remains one of the top
concerns for the well being of patients. Many evidence based studies are aimed at nurses who provide
care for patients in the pre, peri, and post operative periods. Perioperative nurses prepare the skin for
surgery to remove soil and microorganisms at the point of incision (Cowperthwaite Holm, 2015).
Surgical site infections are easy to reduce given the proper guidelines for prevention. This includes
skin antisepsis, and surgical hand hygiene and technique.
A National Patient Safety Goal set up by the Joint Commission is to prevent surgical site infections
(The Joint Commission, 2015). One of the ways this is done is through reducing bacteria at the
surgical site. Skin is not sterile, but reducing the number of bacteria on the skin may help reduce
surgical site infections. (Cowperthwaite Holm, 2015) The circulating nurse, along with other key
personnel, plays a key role in preventing surgical site infections. Proper technique must be used to
reach the highest level of protection, starting with skin preperation. Typically, in the operating room
setting, there are two skin

Running Of Bulls
From the beginning of recorded history, mankind has loved to have fun and have an adrenaline rush.
From when Moses was running from the Egyptians to Usain Bolt running track in the 2016 Olympics,
running is an art that has been used in very thrilling ways. One way that running has been used is in a
very thrilling way in the Running of the Bulls in Pamplona, Spain. Although many people oppose the
this sort of running because it causes injury, but in reality it is a great thing for the people of Spain.
The practice of the Running of the Bulls in Spain has a profoundly positive impact because it leads to
increased money, creates unity, and results in respect for Saints and animals. Most importantly, the
practice of the Running of the Bulls benefits the people of Spain because it unites the people of Spain
with a fun festival. For example, according to one source, Each year, the city hosts 1,000,000
participants over the week (Sainz). This means that over one million people who were in a small space

Kingsolver implies the importance of accepting help from others by portraying various relationships
the characters build. The characters in the Bean Trees become united as a family by the mutual support
they share despite the absence of blood linked relationships. This idea of untraditional form of family
is shown from the relationships Taylor builds. When Taylor first moved into Lou Ann s house, Taylor
felt extremely uncomfortable accepting help from anyone. By refusing help from the others, Taylor
was isolating herself from all the connections people around her were making. However, when she
starts to feel comfortable relying on others, she considers the community as family . Change in Taylor

The Act Of Investing Money For Your Own Country s Stock...
Introduction
The act of investing money in your own country s stock market is relatively easy. All you need to do is
get a hold of your stock broker or log into your online account and place a buy or sell order. On the
flip side, investing in a company that is listed on a foreign stock exchange is much more complicated.
Where would one begin? However, now there is an easier way to invest in foreign markets from the
U.S, this is through the American Depositary Receipts (ADRs). According to Investopedia, there are
more than 2,000 foreign companies world wide that provide this option for U.S and Canadian
investors interested in buying shares. The purpose of this research paper is to define what an ADR is,
explain how ADRs work, mention the different types of ADRs, and lastly, outline the risks and
benefits of ADRs to US investors and issuers.
American Depositary Receipt
Investopedia defines American Depositary Receipt as a negotiable stock that trades in the United
States but represents a specified number of shares in a foreign corporation. ADRs are bought and sold
in American markets like normal stocks, and are distributed or sponsored in the U.S. by a depositary
bank or brokerage. Investopedia confirms that ADRs were introduced to the financial markets in 1927,
as a result of the complexities involved in buying shares in foreign countries and the difficulties
related to trading at different prices and currencies. It is because of this that the U.S banks purchase

Ocean Currents Affect Coastal Climates
Wind powered surface currents and waves, along with moon and sun powered tides, greatly impact
Earth s coastlines. As warm or cold water ocean currents affect coastal climates, waves release energy,
shifting sand and sediments, eroding and replenishing coastline shores; all while tides raise and lower
sea level. Florida s east coast, encompassed by barrier islands, is affected by subtropical ocean waters
provided by the Gulf Stream, facilitating warm and humid climates, as well as hurricanes. As these
warm ocean waters interact with Florida s barrier islands, through wave action and tides, its coastline
continuously transforms.
The ocean current that flows north alongside Florida s east coast, the Gulf Stream, is one of the most
important factors in determining Florida s climate. Beginning near the equator, the warm waters of the
North Equatorial Current eventually feed into the Gulf Stream, which begins at the southern tip of
Florida. This Equatorial transfer of heat through ocean currents is what facilitates Florida s warm and
humid climate. To illustrate the influence ocean currents have on coastal climates, we can compare the
climate of Puerto San Carlos, Baja California Sur with the climate of Miami, Florida, because they
reside on North America s west and east coasts respectively, around the 25 N Latitude line. Puerto San
Carlos has a desert climate, averaging under 3 inches of precipitation per year, with 70 degree average
temperatures; while Miami has a

The Second Language ( L2 ) Learners
The second language(L2) learners often struggle to identify possible grammars in their second
languages. In particular, they fail to form a sentence with an appropriate functional morpheme
(Lardiere, 1998; White, 2003). A functional morpheme refers to a morpheme which performs some
kind of grammatical function, playing a role in lexical change. It consists of the function words in the
language such as definite markers. The inflection of a definite marker, in other words, definiteness,
distinguishes a nominal phrase (NP) between identifiable and non identifiable. That is, whether or not,
a referent is identifiable or previously introduced in the discourse. In addition to identifiability,
definiteness is expected to incorporate other notion, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This paper mostly analyzes the issue of cross linguistic variation of definiteness with sample data and
examples from English and Japanese.
Dryer (2013) classifies definiteness into five categories. The first type is the languages in which
definite article are independent, and are distinct from demonstrative words. This type is used
commonly in Western European, Oceanic and Mesoamerican languages (Dryer, 2013; Schroeder,
2006). English is categorized in this type of languages.
In English, the grammatical element is encoded with regard to a contrast between a definite article the,
and indefinite articles a/an in the language. The type of noun (count versus mass) is also a factor:
indefinite mass nouns and indefinite plural countable nouns can appear without articles, i.e. as bare
nouns. Furthermore, other determiners in English are consist of demonstratives, possessives,
quantifiers, and cardinal numbers, some of which are definite and indefinite. The distribution of
articles in English is presented in (1). Examples involving singular count nouns are illustrated in (2).
Note that these singular count nouns cannot be bare, as illustrated in (2e).

Southwestern University: F The recent success of Southwestern University s football program is

Texas and the campus. Complaints are arising over parking, seating, concession prices, and even a
shortage of programs at some games. Dr. Wisner, once again, turns to his stadium manager, Hank

And two of every three people buy a program. In addition to the programs, Maddux must purchase the

purchased separately for each game and are a total loss after the game. The carrying cost, because
inserts are to be delivered just as they are needed, should be nominal; he estimates 5%. The other costs
and the same discount schedule apply, but the inserts only cost half as much because they are much
smaller. First Printing will give the same 10% discount on the inserts. Givens: Annual demand is

The Cronulla, Kurnell and Wanda region sites are ecologically and culturally significant. The Cronulla, Wanda and Kurnell areas are filled with beautiful beaches, magnificent headlands and various other wonderful features, being well over 15000 years old this region showcases some magnificent attractions. These regions however are now faced with issues regarding enviromental degradation and habitat endangerment. There are many issues however some of the more significant problems are erosion, longshore drift and high rise development. Erosion is unfortuanately present at Cronulla beach, the local government have tried to tackle this problem with solution such as dune stabilization and rip rap walls. Rip rap walls are when larged rocks are piled in a certain angle to catch drifting sand and protect the beaches from harsher waves and to protect buildings from high tides. There are also many programs which help to ensure the stabilization of dunes, these include the planting of new vegetation to combat erosion, fencing and designated walkways to prevent human interference. The main reason of dune stabilization is to slow down the speed of erosion. In 1974 the Cronulla beaches were at an all time low and was in a critical state, from this the University of New South Wales designed a new wall, a wall which is different from the conventional walls used to prevent erosion and transportation with these hexagonal concrete blocks weigh well over a tonne each to be used as a line of defence agiasnt the waves and erosion. These concrete walls over a period of time have increased the size of the beach. Enviromental organisations have tried there best to limit the amount of man made deveoplment on coastal lads and many schools participating in annual events to protect and save the sand dunes. Not only is weed creeping into everyday society but many religions are beginning to include this mind altering substance in some of their older traditions. Judaism is one of them. Here are five things to know about it. 1. CANNABIS AND JUDAISM COMBINING ON ROSH HASHANA October 2nd marks the beginning of Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year. Like most other holidays, this one is celebrated with a grand meal. Usually, marijuana is not included on the menu but the times, they are a changing. Online School vs. Traditional School Jessica O Brien Strayer University English 215 Professor: Robin Parks 12/4/11 Online School vs. Traditional School It seems that technology is growing, improving, and changing at an exponential rate. Technology now affects every part of our lives from the time we get up to the time we go to bed, and even as we sleep. One of the major areas that has been affected by technology is education. At one time, the only option for students to complete their education was in a traditional classroom setting. There has become a major need for non traditional education because there has been a growth in the amount of non traditional students that exist in our society. The advancement of technology has ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... One major concern is that cheating will be increased due to there not being any proctoring or monitoring of exams. This is a very valid concern. Plagiarism is a major issue in any school, whether it is an online or a traditional classroom setting. The major concern that some people have is that plagiarism is much easier online than it is in a classroom setting. I would have to disagree with this. I have been both a student at a traditional university (Georgia State University), and I have been a student online (University of Phoenix for 2 years and now, Strayer University). If a student wants to cheat on a paper, it is just as easy to do it whether he/she is physically submitting it to a professor or electronically submitting it. The medium used for submission does not change the actual process the student takes when writing the paper. Also, cheating on an online exam is not as easy as one may expect. Most classes do not offer multiple choice online exams for the very reason that there is a concern, because it would be easy to copy and paste a question into Google or any other popular search engine. Instead, the tests usually require the student work the problem out on his/her own or write a paper or summary to show that he/she actually understands the content. I find that ... My current position, working as a full time Reception Class Teacher requires excellent communication with children, other teachers, child care professionals and parents who often come from diverse cultural backgrounds. I undertake home visits each year. These visits enable me to participate in the positive development of home school links. I also work in close partnership with the school s SENCO and outside agencies, and so I am aware of children s varying needs from special education needs to those who may be gifted and talented. I am familiar with children s IEP s and the reviewing of their targets as I am involved in entering assessments into Classroom Monitor, the online assessment tool. Every half term, the children complete a summative assessment task, which I record on Classroom Monitor and on our half termly trackers. I then use this data to track the progress of my children and create an action plan to identify the next steps in learning for children. Internet Protocol television (IPTV) is the process of transmitting and broadcasting television programs through the Internet using Internet Protocol (IP). A broadband connection is used as the medium of transmission for IPTV. Along consumers to tune in to their favorite programming when, where, and how they want. Improving the user experience compared to a traditional television transmission such as radio frequency broadcast, satellite broadcast and/or cable television. When downloading a file from the Internet, the file doesn t travel in one big piece, as might be expected. Instead, it s broken up into small pieces, known as packets sent to specific IP address, a numeric address given to every computer on the Internet (194.66.82.11). Therefore every computer has a unique identifying number known as an IP address much like houses and street address. The Internet can be used for many things: sending emails, downloading files, making telephone calls VoIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol), and now watching TV using IPTV. Traditional TV programs are broadcasted through a rooftop antenna, satellite dish, phone line, coaxial cable or fiber optic cable. With traditional linear programming someone else has decided what you can watch on TV and when you can watch it, since certain programs come at certain times. • 7. Controversy Of Shakespeare DeVere or Shakespeare? Abstract: The debate over the legitimacy of the authorship of Shakespearean works has been disputed for centuries. While many scholars have held beliefs that Shakespeare s works have been written by figures such as Christopher Marlowe, Francis Bacon, William Stanley, and others, the most heated debate today is between William Shakespeare and Edward DeVere, the Earl of Oxford. Each side of this debate has many followers, the Stratfordians, or those who claim Shakespeare to be the true author, and the Oxfordians who believe that true credit should go to DeVere. My paper, far from being a complete analysis of the possibilities of Shakespearean authorship, attempts to summarize and rationalize the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... While the ideas of the true identity of Shakespeare have differed over the years in an almost trend like fashion, a very popular idea has surfaced over the last century. The most prolific debate today is between the Stratfordians, or those who claim Shakespeare to be the true author, and the Oxfordians, those who claim Edward DeVere, Earl of Oxford, to be the true author. The first question to ask in such a circumstance is why doubt exists. For instance, no scholars question the works of writers and philosophers such as Montisqueu, Hobbes, or Locke. Why then, is there any question as to who wrote Shakespeare? It would seem to most people that the name on the plays should logically be the name of the author. Stratfordians claim exactly this fact as one of their strongest arguments. The only problem with this seemingly simplistic argument lies in the spelling differences between the man named Will Shakespere and the name written on the plays, William Shakespeare (Whalen 8). In fact, the records of (Shakespere s) lifetime almost always spelled his name Shakespere while the names on the plays were always spelled Shakespeare, about half the time with a hyphen which generally denoted a made up name or pseudonym (Whalen 8). Such a slight difference may seem insignificant, but for those who doubt authorship, this is a way of questioning the very basis of Stratfordian claims that authorship is inarguable, and introducing the possibility of ... • 8. Understanding The Brain s Physical Operation Understanding the brain s physical operation is essential to frame the relationship between brain and mind. The brain functions as a result of many complex processes; however, Jeeves and Brown narrow the brain s activity into eight critical principles. These principles provide a background necessary to deduce insightful information from neuroscience s current research of the correlation between our mental lives and brain systems. The first principle describes the PNS and CNS as action loops. An action loop is equivalent to what physiologists describe as a regulatory feedback loop. A feedback loop is composed of two nerve branches, an afferent (incoming) arm and an efferent (outgoing) arm. Monitoring the two arms of the feedback loop is an integrating center, which in most cases is the brain. Sensory information travels via the afferent arm to the integrating center (brain), where the stimulus is evaluated. After evaluation, the integrating center (brain) sends appropriate motor stimuli to specific tissues within the body. Thus, an organism is always sensing and responding to its local environment. From this principle, Jeeves and Brown suggest, Subjective thought and cognition are derived from this action processing, including all the complex levels involved in modulating ongoing action (Jeeves and Brown, 2009, p. 42). Hence, the first principle describes how humans constantly interact with the environment around them. The second principle describes a nested hierarchy of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Liberty University PACO 507 Andrew Reitenauer Wilson Comparison Paper October 2, 2016 ABSTRACT In this paper, the student writer will discuss the methods that are taught in Hurt People Hurt People by Dr. Sandra Wilson (2001). The student writer will compare and contrast the skills that are mentioned in this book to establish a well maintained way in which to minister to clients, and meet their needs as a counselor. Discussing our own hurts and abilities to minister to others through Dr. Wilson s techniques and methods will be discovered in this paper. Table of Contents Title Page 1 Abstract 2 Table of Contents 3 Summary 4 7 Practical Application 7 8 References 9 SUMMARY Primary Goal The primary goal of this books is to view oneself as a way to reach others. Everybody goes through difficult trials and circumstances in their lives. Sometimes we carry deep wounds from these traumatic episodes in our lives. If we don t learn how to work through those episodes of trauma, we may ultimately hurt others. We then create a generational trap in which we continuously hurt others the way in which we were hurt, if not more so in the end. It becomes a generational curse and Dr. Wilson explains that the goal of counseling is to develop new ways to end the generational curses that traumatize and affect us from the inside out. When we learn new ways to cope and to heal, we then are able to end the viscous ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The utilization of internal energy contained in the atomic nucleus has provided a major solution to present and future power source needs by turning away from fossil fuels such as coal, oil and natural gas and currently encompass three fourth of world s energy requirements to cleaner alternatives such as nuclear power and renewables. The objective of this paper is provide a comparison of the current types of nuclear reactors such as burners and breeder reactors. Nuclear Fission is the main process by which humans are able to generate energy from the nucleus of atoms. In order to discuss the nuclear fission process the role of the neutron must be examined. The collision of a neutron in motion with a fissionable nucleus an essential pre condition that creates the nuclear fission process. In order for fission to occur a neutron of the requisite energy must collide into, and merge with a fissionable nucleus to create a new compound nucleus. The formation of the new compound nucleus, in the case of Uranium 238, can be described by the following nuclear reaction: U 238 + n U 239. In situations where nuclear fission successfully occurs new nuclei are created from the remnants of the old nuclei. The velocity or energy of the colliding neutron is a significant factor in the fission process. Nuclear fission can occur after a heavy nuclei captures a neutron. The low energy neutrons which are slow or thermal can result in the fission of isotopes of Plutonium and Uranium whose nuclei have an odd number of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Uncultured transgenic MSCs injected into irradiated mice showed 55 65% recovery from bone marrow which decreased to 10% and 0% after only 24 hours and 48 hours of culture respectively, showing both the homing capacity of bmMSCs and the shortness of their survival in vivo on intravenous infusion (Rombouts and Ploemacher, 2003). The homing ability of MSCs decreases significantly if they have been pre cultured (Sohni and Verfaillie, 2013). This shows that culture conditions likely modified the homing receptors for chemokines. The author drew me in by using a precise date and setting and that made me feel like I was there in that same setting. The way she detailed the setting and used a lot of the sense such as stating that the room she sat in was cold and as the doctor talked to her it turned chilly. The speaker used a lot of elements in her story, but one of the strongest elements that I found that would be extremely useful is how well she developed the story and how it was organized. She did not over complicate the story and spoke very eloquently. The manner in which she carried the story also made me understand her story easily and I would like to incorporate these elements in my story as well. I hope that I do not mumble and that i convey my story clearly. Before the story: My sister had a boyfriend, although she was not allowed to date. She would take me along with her so that no one would suspect anything. I would go with her under the condition that she would buy me my movie ticket and food. How it began: It all started when I was in the 7th grade. My sister and I were going to go to the movies and as always I would be the one to wait on her, because she always took a long time getting ready. I was laying on my bed and listening to music. As I was waiting for her I looked in the mirror. I then suddenly noticed I had a unibrow. Ever since the fourth grade I was aware of that unibrow, but this time it was a scary one. How it began: I told myself do not worry no one will notice, but then i thought no your in middle school someone will notice. I then thought of another idea maybe I will shave it, get rid of that unibrow. That idea alone did not convince me so then I though maybe I should just get bangs and cut them right above my eyes and no one will even know. • 31. Relationships In Kingsolver s Bean Trees Kingsolver implies the importance of accepting help from others by portraying various relationships the characters build. The characters in the Bean Trees become united as a family by the mutual support they share despite the absence of blood linked relationships. This idea of untraditional form of family is shown from the relationships Taylor builds. When Taylor first moved into Lou Ann s house, Taylor felt extremely uncomfortable accepting help from anyone. By refusing help from the others, Taylor was isolating herself from all the connections people around her were making. However, when she starts to feel comfortable relying on others, she considers the community as family . Change in Taylor is presented when she risks herself of being ... • 32. The Act Of Investing Money For Your Own Country s Stock... Introduction The act of investing money in your own country s stock market is relatively easy. All you need to do is get a hold of your stock broker or log into your online account and place a buy or sell order. On the flip side, investing in a company that is listed on a foreign stock exchange is much more complicated. Where would one begin? However, now there is an easier way to invest in foreign markets from the U.S, this is through the American Depositary Receipts (ADRs). According to Investopedia, there are more than 2,000 foreign companies world wide that provide this option for U.S and Canadian investors interested in buying shares. The purpose of this research paper is to define what an ADR is, explain how ADRs work, mention the different types of ADRs, and lastly, outline the risks and benefits of ADRs to US investors and issuers. • 33. Ocean Currents Affect Coastal Climates Wind powered surface currents and waves, along with moon and sun powered tides, greatly impact Earth s coastlines. As warm or cold water ocean currents affect coastal climates, waves release energy, shifting sand and sediments, eroding and replenishing coastline shores; all while tides raise and lower sea level. Florida s east coast, encompassed by barrier islands, is affected by subtropical ocean waters provided by the Gulf Stream, facilitating warm and humid climates, as well as hurricanes. As these warm ocean waters interact with Florida s barrier islands, through wave action and tides, its coastline continuously transforms. The ocean current that flows north alongside Florida s east coast, the Gulf Stream, is one of the most important factors in determining Florida s climate. Beginning near the equator, the warm waters of the North Equatorial Current eventually feed into the Gulf Stream, which begins at the southern tip of Florida. This Equatorial transfer of heat through ocean currents is what facilitates Florida s warm and humid climate. To illustrate the influence ocean currents have on coastal climates, we can compare the climate of Puerto San Carlos, Baja California Sur with the climate of Miami, Florida, because they reside on North America s west and east coasts respectively, around the 25 N Latitude line. Puerto San Carlos has a desert climate, averaging under 3 inches of precipitation per year, with 70 degree average temperatures; while Miami has a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 35. The Second Language ( L2 ) Learners The second language(L2) learners often struggle to identify possible grammars in their second languages. In particular, they fail to form a sentence with an appropriate functional morpheme (Lardiere, 1998; White, 2003). A functional morpheme refers to a morpheme which performs some kind of grammatical function, playing a role in lexical change. It consists of the function words in the language such as definite markers. The inflection of a definite marker, in other words, definiteness, distinguishes a nominal phrase (NP) between identifiable and non identifiable. That is, whether or not, a referent is identifiable or previously introduced in the discourse. In addition to identifiability, definiteness is expected to incorporate other notion, ... Case Study week 4 Case Study: Southwestern University: F The recent success of Southwestern University s football program is causing SWU s president, Joel Wisner, more problems than he faced during the team s losing era in the early 1990s. For one thing, increasing game day attendance is squeezing the town of Stephenville, Texas and the campus. Complaints are arising over parking, seating, concession prices, and even a shortage of programs at some games. Dr. Wisner, once again, turns to his stadium manager, Hank Maddux.
