Life is more precious than anything else, and everybody would love to live to the fullest. In life, there
are decisions that people make that can shorten their lives. Though it s argued that life is under God s
control, there is no doubt that there exist self inflicted injuries that shorten life on earth. The decisions
people make therefore have dire consequences on their life. To drink and drive is an example of such
courageous decisions with profound effects in people s life. The ultimate price for drunk driving is an
accident, and the legal consequence is jail. It s illegal to drink and drive even though people still
engage in the act (Carpenter, 2004). This, therefore, calls for more stringent and tougher rules to help
curb the habit. There is the need to review the current laws and regulations to check on the rate of
drunken driving failure to which more lives will be lost at an unexpected time.
There are several reasons as to why drunk driving should not be encouraged. First and foremost, when
one is under the influence of alcohol, their ability to make a sound judgment decreases. One becomes

Animal Shelters have been the source of many rescued domesticated animals. Receiving about 8 10
million animals a year, they are important in keeping stray and abandoned dogs and cats off the streets
in order to give them a safe and loving new home. According to the American Society for the
Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), 47% of dogs and 42% of cats are rehomed (ASPCA.org).
However, what happens to the other 53 58% of those animals that were not given a new home? Well,
many of the animals left will be in the shelter trying to gain the attention of a fitting new owner
excited with the thought of adopting them. However, after many months, the shelters become
overpopulated with the number of dogs and cats that enter the compound leaving the shelter no choice
but to remove the older animals by way of euthanasia. Euthanizing these animals are a way to
decrease the surplus population roaming the streets and in the shelters. Although euthanasia may be
called for in some cases, such as old age or terminally ill animals, it is inhumane to euthanize perfectly
healthy ones for the sake of space and controlled population sizes. Overpopulation is one of the top
reasons for animals being euthanized in shelters. About 1.5 million sheltered animals are euthanized
annually due to overpopulation, illnesses, or behavior (ASPCA.org). In order to prevent the amount of

popular franchise is GTA V, which follows three main protagonists throughout their daily lives and

In this lab, it was found that the rocket launcher can be launched in many different ways. It was found

right because the more you add clay, the more it makes it heavier. When I put 1.49 grams of clay, it
turned out to be 16 meters and that was the highest. The experiment was completed using clay, rocket
launcher, and a measuring wheel. These materials are used in order to see what happens when it flies
higher. My hypothesis was right because I said that if we put the least amount of clay in the straw, it

Sukarno, first president of Indonesia, in office from 1945 to 1967, conveys, The worst cruelty that can
be inflicted on a human being is isolation . In other words, Sukarno believes that seclusion is the
greatest punishment an individual can receive. Often, people are affected by isolation on the mental
and emotional levels. Individuals begin to perceive situations differently and are influenced to make
shameful choices. For example, in Sinclair Ross s short story, The Painted Door, the main character,
Ann, lives her life in isolation from most of society. Ann is a young and caring woman living on a
farm with her husband, John. They are facing troubles in their marriage, since their ideals of a
fulfilling life differ from one another. Her husband is set to travel seventeen miles to assist his aging
father on the farm. Ann is against John s voyage because the storm brewing risks his safety and would
leave her alone to care for the animals. However, John is able to convince her by inviting a friend to
come over for dinner and promising her that he will return at supper to join them; the circumstance
fuels a night of lonesome emotions that propels her to commit a remorseful decision. One might argue

Did you know that, instead having to buy expensive PH indicators, you can just use the juice from red
cabbages? In this experiment, I will see how red cabbage can go from side dish to science. My
hypothesis is that the color of red cabbage will change color based on a reaction with different
substances to indicate whether it is an acid or base. According to the page madsci.org, red cabbage
contains a pigment called anthocyanin. this pigment changes its structure and its reaction to light
depending on the acidity of its environment. For this experiment, I only needed a few typical

It is important that the liquid is allowed to cool to room temperature so that residual heat doesn t affect
the PH readings. Now I have a homemade PH Indicator!
Using an eyedropper, I added a few drops of the indicator into each of my substances and viewed the
color changes through the clear plastic cups. I used the chart below to determine each substances PH
level by matching its colour to the chart below. The lower the PH level the more acidic, so a violet red
color is highly acidic; whereas a yellow color is highly basic.
I tested a few of the most common substances used in daily life: milk, soda, lemon juice and bleach.
My results are the following: In my first test, I tried testing the PH level of milk. I first thought that
milk would be basic, but after dripping some of the cabbage mixture into it, I discovered that it was
light blue, which means that it was actually slightly acidic! After researching this, I found that this is
true because milk contains lactic acid, which is responsible for the sour flavor of sourdough breads.

Methods and tools for studying children
This essay is a continuation to a previous assignment which discussed how attitudes towards studying
children have changed. In this child participation, child voice and consent were identified as three key
principles researchers should aspire to when studying children. This essay therefore intends to extend
