The Giant Panda lives in the wet bamboo forests of China but has been pushed into small unlivable areas due to habitat loss. It eats bamboo, fruits, and grasses, consuming up to 30 kg of bamboo per day. The Giant Panda has a lifespan of 20 to 35 years and females become pregnant for only 2-3 days each spring, typically giving birth to one cub at a time. Humans hunting them for their fur and destroying their habitat, as well as birds of prey and leopards preying on cubs, have endangered the Giant Panda, of which there are only around 2060 remaining.
