This document analyzes the formality of a classical music magazine through its use of language, images, colors, and layout. The magazine's contents page uses proper formal language without slang. 2. Language & Register
There is more than a few reasons why the magazine is formal. Such as;
 The magazines contents page contains formal text as it does not portray
any slang.
 The artists inside the contents page are addressed by their full name.
 As well as this, the Magazine will be aimed towards a older, very mature
audience. Who further understand a wider range of Proper English
language

3. Representations
 The image shown in the top left corner is an medium close up action
shot of a woman conducting a classical band.
 There is also an outside medium close up image of a formal man stood
smiling looking away from the camera.
 However there is another image of a colorful piano in a field or park
with someone in a hoodie and coat playing it. This image breaks
conventions as it is not fully formal and is not presented the same way
as other classical artists are.

4. Images
 The front cover images are very formal, calm looking images and use
more of a pale or dark background and have the artist in very bright
engaging colors.
 On the images there are page numbers in the bottom right corner.
These images tell the reader whereabouts the article they are looking
for is.
 All of the images stay with the classical music themes conventions apart
from one which used brown and green colors instead of the typical,
white black, red and pale colors.

5. Colors
Colors are a very important when designing a magazine
or article. The colors the stars are wearing involve
mainly bright reds and white, helping them more smart
and formal. These colors help engage the reader. The
backgrounds of the images are more pale yellows and
whites. This helps the main artist stand out more.
As well as this, the colors for the text and backgrounds
are purples, light blues and whites. The purple is used
for the background of the light blue sub title. These
help catch the reader eye and help it to be more formal.

There are a lot of links to the front cover in the contents page, such as;
The front covers artist is on the content page and some articles on the
front cover are in page numbers in the context page.
Secondly, the front covers background colors are pale which also crosses
with the contents page.

7. Text wrapping
 On the magazines contents page there is no text wrapping and instead
the page numbers and articles are in columns. This adds to the
formality of the magazine as it is of the classical music.

8. Front style and size
 The fonts used in the magazine are Sans serif and serif. They have used
sans serif as small subtitles, page numbers and articles. The serif fonts
are for the main title and page numbers which overlay the images.
