This document analyzes the layout, design and target audience of magazine covers and pages, including: - The magazine cover features Ariana Grande's photo and bold black title to attract fans aged 13+. - The double page spread about Florence and the Machine uses a large photo, title at the top and columns of text in black and white for clarity. It targets fans aged 16+. - The contents page uses black, white and red colors to make titles and sections stand out, along with photos and differently sized fonts. It is intended for music fans aged 14+ as the content is appropriate for them.

2. magazine cover.
The title stands out
because of how bold,
and block font it is black,
this makes it stand out
from the background.
The colours are
simple black and
white.
There is a main
photograph. The
photograph is a mid
close up of Arianna
Grande, this is
showing us she is the
main head line of the
magazine.
There is a sub-title
on the right hand, it
has a black
background to make
the white and pink
writting to stand out. The target audience would
be fans of pop music, aged
13+

3. double page spread. The layout is quite
simple , there is a
picture that takes up
three quarters of the
pages on the right
hand side. The main
title is on the left hand
side and the top. There
is then some
information of some sort
. Then the main article
in two separate
columns.
The font that has
been used is black
and all the same,
accept the size. The
title is the largest font
and black and bold.
There is a small
paragraph under the
title which is also
black but so much
smaller and italic.
Then there's the two
columns which are
standard, black, small
font.
The audience that i would think would read this dps
is firstly fans of ‘florence and the machine’. But for
age i would think 16+ because shes an older
women and not exactly like a girl group.
This is a double page spread taken out
of a music magazine . This double
page spread is about Florence and the
Machine.
There is a picture that takes up
three quarters of the page . The
picture is of Florence which
suggests that this double page
spread is about her.
The colours
used in this
double page
spread are
black and
white, this is
simple but
effective
because of the
layout.

4. contents page.
The way the contents
page is laid out is; it has
the title, date and web-site
at the top, features and
oasis special and what
happens every month
down the left hand side.
This contents page has a
review at the bottom and
the main photo on the
right hand side.
The main colours on this
contents page are; black, white
and red. The black colours
make the main titles stand out,
for example ‘CONTENTS’. The
red make the sub-titles such as
‘FEATURES’ stand out. The
colour white is the background
colour and title font.
The picture on the right
hand side shows that this
magazine will concentrate
on the band because they
are the main headline.
The font used on this
contents page is all
the same but different
colours and different
sizes and boldness.
The titles and sub-titles
are white with a black
or red background.
Then there is the
general writing which is
a smaller size and the
important bits are black
or red and bold
The target audience for
this magazine would be
14+ as it is acceptable
and not inappropriate
because its about
music and musicians.
This is a music magazine contents page so everything
on this contents page is music related in some way as
it wouldn't be a music magazine .
